Watching Jacerys stand up for his betrothed, Baela and kindly asking Haelena to dance, his fathers, Ser Harwin Strong & Ser Laenor Velaryon would've been proud of the man he's becoming.
He has equal parts of both of them in him. He is their true son.

Fanfiction idea jaceluke a/b/o
The fact that omegas couldn't inherit had always been Rhaenyras saving grace. It protected her claim to the throne from her four half siblings who were all omegas.
This changed when her firstborn son and heir presented as an omega and lost all claims he had. She was heartbroken to see the look on his face once he realised the consequences of his secund gender. He could no longer inherite the iron throne or anything else for that matter and neither of them could do a thing about it since if he were to remain crown prince then Aegon, Aemond and Dearon would or even Helaena could press their claim against his mother. So Jace just looked himself in his room and tried to ignore the shame and humiliation that had been drowning him since the day he woke up with slick between his legs.
Luke felt so helpless at seeing his beloved brother in such pain. Jace had cut himself of and barely left his room. No one managed to get him out of his depressed state and he avoided them with all his might.
It got worse when betrothal offers came from all corners of the realm. Jacaerys sneared at them, most of them wanted him as their Targaryen baby maker with little option or rights. Sadly at this point he felt like this was all he was good for. A few weeks later they were ordered to Kingslanding to "celebrate" Jaces presentation. It was hell. Aegon and Aemond took full advantage and mocked Jace merciellesly, they wanted him to react, to throw a tantrum and creat a scandal, so they could paint him in an even worse light. But it was not Jacaerys who snapped but Lucerys.
Seeing his brother be torture like that was the last straw. His fury boilt over and he attacked his uncles in his brothers defence, which resulted in him presenting as an Alpha and promptly laying claim and protection over his brother. True Jacaerys would never be king but king consort fit him just fine.

Hell Hath No Fury | Aemond Targaryen
Tumblr media
Request: Yes
Summary: Aemond has become distant and you find out why.
Warning: blood, miscarriage, cheating, assault
Hell Hath No Fury Masterlist
You couldn't believe it.
He was the good brother, the dutiful son, the valiant knight... the faithful husband. There was no way that your Aemond wouldn't do this to you.
This explains why he was traveling so often to Harrenhal away from you for so long when you needed him the most, you thought as you rubbed your swollen belly staring at the piece of paper in your hand.
He had gotten that whore pregnant, and from the letter it seemed you two were both soon to give birth.
Alys Rivers, the strong Bastard, the Witch...Yet another thing you two had in common, maybe your husband had a type.
This was it. the beginning of the end. If Alys Rivers gave birth to that child there is nothing that would stop her from coming to court, having her child legitimized, having Aemond take her as a mistress, bringing shame and embarrassment upon you and your child.
No.
"Push princess, push." The midwife needlessly instructed as someone wiped the sweat from your brow.
"I do appreciate your help and respect and acknowledge that you have helped bring many royals into this world so please forgive me when I say, 'please shut the fuck up and let me concentrate." You yelled back as you took two deep breaths before closing your eyes and letting your head fall backwards.
Opening your eyes again you see your in a hallway standing in front of a door, you can still hear the midwives telling you to push. placing your hand in the door you push it open slowly as you see the sight of Alys Rivers and Aemond in bed together.
His arm is wrapped around her, as they are both naked it isn't hard to guess what it was that had made them so tired. Walking into the room you hear the door close behind you just as you stand right above them. As if sensing your presence Alys' eyes snap open and stare up at you.
She opens her mouth to wake Aemond before you stop her.
"Don't bother calling out, her can't hear us." You informed her reaching for his arm and throwing it away from her causing his to shift in his sleep and turn over. "No one can. From the look on your face I can tell you know exactly who I am, which is amusing considering I knew nothing of you a moon ago."
"I know this must be upsetti-."
"No! You don't because you are not his wife, you are not the one he married and swore loyalty to only to turn around and impregnate some whore." You sneered at her as she flinched back. "What was your plan? to take my husband, become and mistress, you seek to replace me and my child?" You asked as she simply shook her head in denial.
"It was never meant to happen like this, but I love Aemond and he loves me, I'm sorry that you are hurt by this but that is the truth of it. I never thought I would be able to have children but this is a gift that Aemond has given to me and we both are thankful to be having it, but that does not mean he is any less thankful for your child and I promise you that I mean no harm to your life, marriage or the life of your child."  Alys rushed to explain. Taking a moment you look on at this women in bed with your husband and think of her words.
"Words....are not enough." You say before Alys' body is forced down into the bed. Leaning over her you pulled the sheets from her body exposing her milky skin to the cold air.
"What are you doing?" Alys asked as she struggled against the invisible force.
"Don't worry I am simply righting a wrong," You informed her as you pulled a knife from your dress. "The child that grows inside of you belongs to my husband"  You continue as you placed the blade to her belly.
"No! Please no." Alys pleads as she fight to get away from you. "I'm beg you please. I have wronged you I admit but my child is innocent, Aemond's child is innocent."
"I know." You say before plunging the knife into her womb as she lets out a blood curtailing scream. Once the cut was made you reached inside of her wound ignoring the blood and cries of the women as you pull the child from her body. Cradling the child in your arm you softly coo to the child as Alys lets out another round of sobs. "Please do not morn for the child will live, but it will be birthed by me, as should all children of my husband."
Turning and walking away the door slowly creaks back open allowing you to walk back into the hall. "Though I am very thankful for this gift you and my husband have given to me Alys, I trust it will be the last one" You say before the door closes once again.
"Just one more push my princess." You left you head once again over come with the pain of child birth. "Here it comes." After one more push the room is filled with the cries of your child.
"A prince, you have given birth to a prince." The midwife announced moving to retrieve a blanket for the newborn. She began to hand you your child before you leaned forward and let out a painful groan. "The afterbirth."
another midwife crouched between your leg as you groan in pain. "No there is a head, there is another babe." She informed sending the room into another round of panic as you were instructed again to push.
"Another prince." She soon declares as the second child begins to cry.
Cradling both babes in your arms you look down at the two clearly Targaryen princes with a small smile, Alicent entered the room quickly making it to your side "Aemon and  Armon." You names them as she looks to her grandchildren made my her favorite son.
***
It had been three days since Aemond woke to Alys' screams, the sheets around her covered in blood as she cradled her stomach. The maesters said it was a miscarriage, but Alys insisted that it wasn't, when Aemond tried to comfort her she yelled for him to leave her and refused to be near him. After the second day of trying he chose to return to Kingslanding where is was notified that his wife had given birth to twin boys.
Entering the chambers he sees his wife cooing at the two newborns laying on their bed. Turning towards your husband your eyes widen. "Aemond, I thought you were Beth to assist me with taking the twins to midday meal, the family wished to meet them."
"Well I am sorry to disappoint you," Aemond teased walking closer to the bed. "But I promise I can try to be as good as Beth until she arrives."
"Oh stop." You laughed a bit before letting out a sigh. "Actually I am glad that you are here, I wanted to speak with you."
"What is it you wish to speak of?" He asked rubbing his knuckle along Aemon's face.
"I know that this marriage started as an arrangement, but I understand that at the time we both believed that we become fond of each other and perhaps even love, and I thought that we had begun to share these feeling but I realize that I can not hold you to promises we made as children." You now had his full attention. "And if it is what you want, I will not fight you on seeking annulment."
"You have been distant and it was not until the twins were born that I realize just how distant you've become, we used to spend time together, reading, painting, laughing but I gave birth for the first time and my husband was not to be found." You explained. "I do not blame you for not returning my feeling or for pulling away but I can't live thinking that I'm driving you from your home or thinking that this distance between us will affect our children."
"Please," Aemond says grabbing your hand and kneeling at your side. "Your feeling are returned I swear it to you, my distance is of no fault of your own."
"Then what is it?" You pleaded looking into his eyes. "I wish for you to be there for our children, for them to love and be moved by you. You once told me you didn't want to be like your father, I do not want this either."
Looking into your eyes Aemond knew he couldn't tell you the reason, he knew it would break your heart and he couldn't do that to you not after you had just given him two son, not ever. "It matters not, It will never happen again." He assures giving your hand a gentle squeeze. "I will not be the father viserys was to me and I will not be the husband he was to my mother. You three are my life and I will spend every second to assure that you know it.
"My princess It is time for your midday meal with your family." Beth informed entering the chambers.
"Thank you Beth would you please hold Aemon and I will take Armon you instruct as Aemond stands and helps you from the bed. Standing and walking towards the door you asked Beth to please walk ahead of you. "I thank you for hearing me Aemond and I do hope this isn't asking to much but I also must ask something else of you."
Aemond nodded as he rubs his hand up and down your back in comfort.
"I wish for this to be a pleasant occasion so I must ask you not fight with Jace and Luke, though it seems you have grown quite fond of Strong bastards as of late." You say before walking ahead leaving his frozen in the door way of the room.

Pairing: Aemond Targaryen × Targ!Royce!f!reader
Summary: Your father, Prince Daemon Targaryen never ackowledged you. Your mother, Lady Rhea Royce passed away when you were little, which leaves you to be raised by your uncle - King Viserys Targaryen, and his wife - Queen Alicent Hightower. As you grow up in the Red Keep, you grew close to the kings second son - Prince Aemond Targaryen.
Warnings: cursing, violence, canon divergence
A/N: part two is here HIRAETH
ღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღ
Being the daughter of the infamous Rouge Prince was not easy, especially when your mother was a woman he despised up until her death or after that. You were not even supposed to exist, as your parents held such resentment towards each other, that their union was not consummated for a very long time, before one fateful night, when Prince Daemon was exiled from King’s Landing yet again by his brother, King Viserys. Your maid mentioned to you that your father was extremely enraged and got drunk inside the walls of Runestone. Your lady mother was also having an exceptionally bad day, and so she joined her husband in consuming a ridiculous amount of wine. One thing led to another, therefore you were conceived, and the Targaryen man fled the very next day.
You were born the same year as the eldest son of King Viserys and Queen Alicent, growing up in the Vale with only your mother there, as your father, upon hearing the news of your birth did not even acknowledge you as his child and flew away to fight in the Stepstones. He could call you a bastard of his “Bronze Bitch” all he wanted, but even though you had brown hair, no one could deny the fact that you have the blood of the dragons flowing through your veins, for your eyes were the gorgeous shade of violet. Runestone was your home. You loved running in its halls, playing with various servants and guards, but your most favourite part was learning everything you could from your mother. Sadly your childhood joy did not last long. When you were two name days old Lady Rhea passed away in what was called a hunting accident. People of the Vale did not believe that story and were spreading rumours that it was her husband, who murdered her in cold blood.
Queen Alicent, after learning about your misfortune, convinced her husband to bring you to the Red Keep to be raised among your cousins. She mentioned a well-known saying going around the Targaryen family: “A dragon alone in the world is a terrible thing”. And so, as a result, you were brought to Kings Landing and raised along with the queen’s and Princess Rhaenyra’s children. You got on with Helaena and Aemond pretty well. The princess was your closest friend, you spent most of the time together, because you were the only two girls among the royal family residing in the castle. You did not mind her riddles nor her fondness for small creatures, quite the opposite, you found it fascinating how smart Helaena is. Aemond was a slightly different story. You remember being drawn to him, something inside you did not let you pull away from the prince. For him you were his light in life, the only person he did not mind the company of. You both were polar opposites. You being very kind, talkative and a ray of sunshine, him being closed off and quiet. You disliked Aegon, even though you were the closest in age, because of his vile language and inappropriate behavior. He was also a bully and liked to tease you and Aemond for not having dragons, dragging the sons of Princess Rhaenyra into it as well. When it comes to Jace and Luke, you found them pleasant to be around when they’re not doing Aegon’s bidding. Your life in the Red Keep was going well and you thrived in this environment, but what you did not know, is that it would all soon come to an end.
time skip to the funeral of Laena Velaryon
After Prince Daemon won the war in the Stepstones, he came back to his brothers’ side once again, but it did not last long, as he left following the wedding of Rhaenyra and Ser Laenor. During his presence in the castle, he was set on ignoring your existence, and you only saw him once, when he strolled through the gardens, where you were sitting with Helaena. He wed the lady Laena Velaryon soon after and left for Pentos abandoning you again. Now, you are all standing on Driftmark, attending the said lady’s funeral. Once again your father has paid you no attention and you decided not to let it bother you. After the coffin was laid down into the sea everyone started conversing amongst each other. You decided to stay close to Aemond, due to not feeling confident and you knew that he was the only person who could bring you comfort. As you headed to where the green siblings stood, you heard Aegon talking.
“We have nothing in common.” he said, clearly talking about Helaena, who sat on the ground playing with a spider. As you walked closer you heard her muttering one of her riddles. “She’s our sister.” defended her Aemond, right when you appeared next to him and took his hand, sending a small smile his way, which he returned. “You marry her then”. Lately, it has been revealed that the two eldest children of Queen Alicent are betrothed. You pitied your friend, Aegon was probably the most horrid person you have ever encountered.
“I would perform my duty, if only mother had only betrothed us. But I am to marry someone else.” with that he looked at you. “I am happy to be marrying you, as you are the best possible choice.” you said to him, squeezing his hand tighter. The small council also decided on a marriage between you and the King’s second son.
“She’s an idiot.” said Aegon and your blood boiled. “At least she’s not a complete moron and a drunk.” you bit back and Aemond had to fight back a grin. “Oh you little witch.” said the boy and tried to advance towards you unsuccessfully.
“She’s your future Queen” said the younger brother. It was a known fact that the Queen and the Hand wish to put him on the throne instead of Princess Rhaenyra. War was inevitable. “We do have something in common.” said Aegon, when a maid came over with a tray of wine. “We both fancy creatures with very long legs.” and with that he strolled away in search for more alcohol.
That left you alone with Aemond. Suddenly the pair of you heard unmistakably a roar of the dragon in the distance. Vhagar, the she-dragon of Queen Visenya, that recently became riderless. You look at your companion and noticed the longing look in his eyes. “Aemond. What are you thinking?” you said to get his attention. He turned to you for a second before continuing to stare in the direction of the sound. “She’s hurting, mourning the loss of lady Laena. I always wanted to see her, after all, she is the last living symbol of the conquest. “ you kept going. “Hmm. Maybe we should go and see her then.” you looked at him as he said that. “Tonight, after everyone’s asleep so that no one stops us.”You were used to sneaking out, as you both often did so to spend time together in the keep’s library late at night, to read all the books you could find. After small moment of consideration, you nodded to let him know that you agree to the plan. Up untill the night, you spend time with each other exploring the Drftmark castle.
Soon enough it started to grow dark. You and your best friend stood next to the flight of stairs leading to the beach, looking at drunk Aegon. Just as you were planning to sneak off, the boys’ grandfather, Otto Hightower, came into view, grabbing the eldest prince to drag him to his bed. Aemond looked at you as they left and motioned to follow him, which you did without any worries. Both of you walked towards the place Vhagar nested in, and once the mighty dragon became visible, you were amazed. She was so big, that she did not need to open her mouth much to swallow the two of you. “Fuck” muttered Aemond. “She’s amazing, isn’t she?” you whispered and couldn’t tear your gaze away. And with you saying that the white-haired boy proceeded to move closer towards her. Your brows furrowed at the act and you asked “My prince? What are you doing?”
Aemond turned to face you and said “She is unclaimed and she’s suffering. I can’t let it go on.”. You then understood what he meant and the idea of your betrothed going straight into the jaws of the biggest dragon alive made you uneasy. “Aemond. This is a bad idea! She could burn you! Or eat you!” you argued. “It is my right, both of our right, to claim a dragon.” you knew that, but there were so many dragons without riders. Surely you could make a trip to Dragonstone and try your luck with others, nonetheless, you knew that once Aemond set his mind on something, there is no changing it.
“Just please, be careful.” you muttered into his ear as you hugged the boy. Unwanted tears gathered in your eyes, as you saw him approach the animal. You were pretty far away and too lost in your own mind to hear him say anything. When Vhagar opened her mouth to breathe fire, you almost fainted from worry, but you believed that he could do it. And he did it, the dragon accepted him as his rider, letting him climb atop her for their first flight. You were so proud of the prince and you beamed into the sky screaming “Yes Aemond! You did it!” and laughing. Once the flight was done and he climbed down, he called you to his side. You came over slowly, wary of the dragon, as you knew, they don’t like the presence of people, who aren’t their riders.
“I did it! Did you see? I was flying!” Aemond became a ball of energy at this moment and you couldn’t help but grin. “You did it. You’re finally a dragon rider.” and with that, you hugged him. “I’m so proud of you.”. He gave you a beautiful smile, but it slightly fell, once you said “But scare me like that ever again and I will kill you.”. Taking his hand, you both started walking back towards the castle and Aemond told you all about the experience, and how freeing, yet terrifying it felt. Neither of you expected to encounter a problem once you walked inside.
“It’s them.” said one of your half-sisters. In the entrance stood the daughters of the late Lady Laena, along with Jace and Luke. “It’s us.” confirmed Aemond when you both emerged from the darkness. “Vhagar is my mother’s dragon. She was mine to claim.” exclaimed Rhaena and you could clearly see rage overcoming her. “Dragons aren’t possessions to be passed down, dear sister.” you told her and everyones eyes turned to you. “Aemond had the right to claim her and she chose him. It is done.” you defended your prince and he gave you a small smile before saying “Perhaps your cousins would find you a pig to ride. It would suit you.” Not that long ago Aegon, Jace, and Luke pulled a prank on Aemond, dressing up a pig in wings, calling it Pink Dread. With that Rhaena tried to hit him, but he dodged the attempt and pushed her away, making Baela strike him on the nose. With that, all hell broke loose and you knew that it will not end well. You tried to stop them “No! Leave him alone! He didn’t do anything wrong!”, but someone pushed you away and you banged your head against the torch on a wall. You could feel the bleeding and the ache, but you ignored it to observe what was happening in front of you.
Aemond was holding Luke by the neck, while in his other hand he gripped a rock. “You will die screaming as you father did. Bastards.” he said and you were shocked, not because you didn’t believe it, but rather because he said it out loud. Everyone knew Princess Rhaenyra was having an affair with Ser Harwin Strong. How else would anyone explain the certain resemblance he has to the “Velaryon” boys? They do not look anything like their supposed father Ser Laenor. The King Viserys was conveniently blind to it, but everyone knew that he just prefered to conceal the truth to protect his “only child”. “My father’s still alive.” said Luke and you watched a smirk appear on the white-haired prince’s face. “He doesn’t know, does he? Lord Strong.” he continued and you had to intervene. “Aemond stop. That’s enough. Let’s finish this madness.” you tried to convince him to let the younger prince go. He looked at you and that’s when Luke broke free and both he and Jace attacked Aemond. Before you could comprehend what was happening you saw a flash of knife and blood chilling scream of your betrothed.
You ran towards him and saw him clutching his eye tightly. The bastard took his eye. “Aemond!” you screamed. “Guards! What are you waiting for?! Get help!” you yelled at your sisters and cousins, while trying to soothe Aemond. Soon enough guards poured in and one of them pulled you away from your best friend, much to your protest. “My prince. Let me see.” The guard turned Aemond around and saw the wound. “Gods be good” Gods be good indeed. You were all taken to the hall and the adults were called. By that time you felt very faint from the blood loss and passed out. You didn’t hear the exchange between Queen Alicent and Princess Rhaenyra as you did not wake in time, but you know, as did everyone in the realm, what transpired there.
You woke up two days later, and you took time to recover. It did not stop you from visiting Aemond in his chambers or going to the gardens and spending time with Helaena. One day as you were walking to your rooms, you overheard a conversation between Queen Alicent and Lord Larys Strong. They were discussing the issue of your father marrying Princess Rhaenyra and the scandal it caused. Both believed they had a hand in Ser Laenor’s murder, but what was said in this conversation rang in your head for days. “I would not put it passed Prince Daemon to murder the princess’s husband. After all, nothing stopped him from killing his first wife.” Your mother’s death wasn’t an accident, because it was Daemon who murdered her to finally be free of marriage duty. Since that day you hated your father even more and you promised yourself, that you would avenge your beloved mother.
time skip six years later
You and Aemond have been married for a year now and you recently welcomed a child into the world, a beautiful girl named Alysanne after the Good Queen, who looked like exact copy of the prince. Your husband a wonderful father and lover. Since the day your daughter was born he has been spending all of his free time tending to you both. Even though the Driftmark accident caused the prince to be colder and more intimidating, he was very caring and soft towards you, your daughter, his mother and his sister. Only the women of his family were privileged to see this side of him. After your wedding you relocated to Runestone and you took over your responsibilities as a Lady of the house. Aemond unsurprisingly thrived in the Vale as the Lord of Runestone, as he was dutiful, smart and formidable. You were content there, but you visited the Red Keep as often as you could on your dragons. Yes, you heard correctly. Dragons. About two years after the loss of Aemonds eye, you stumbled upon a dragon of your own. It was one of the wild ones, that terrified anyone who heard his name. You claimed the notorious Canniball. During the last visit to King’s Landing, Helaena gifted you both a dragonn egg from Dreamfire’s latest clutch to put into Alysanne’s cradle.
Just last night the three of you arrived at court for the Driftmark petitions, that are being held in approximately three days. Corlys Velaryon suffered a terrible injury during his voyage and no one could be sure if he will recover. This plundged the succession into question. Lord Vaemond Velaryon publicly questioned Lucerys Velaryon’s right to become the next Lord of the Tides. King Viserys has been bedridden for a long time now, and the realm was placed into the hands of Hightowers, who ruled in his stead. Princess Rhaenyra was informed of the petition and was to come to the Red Keep to defend her son, and along with her will come the whole black fraction of Targaryen family. You weren’t keen on seeing any of them again, especially Prince Daemon, as you held strong resentment towrads the man.
On the day of their arrival you and your daughter were on the country yard watching Aemond train with Ser Criston Cole. Soon you saw the two eldest sons of heir to the iron throne and smirked at their terrified expressions, while they realised what formidable fighter your husband was. With a few more strikes of the blade Aemond defeated Cole. “Congratulations my Prince, you’ll be winning tourneys in no time.” said the knight. “I don’t give a shit about tourneys.” you beloved answered and directed his eyes towards the boys. “Nephews. Have you come to train?”. In that moment the gate opened and in walked Vaemond Velaryon, advancing towards the keep, he casted the nastiest look he could muster towards his “nephews”.
After that Jace and Luke scurried away inside, probably in search of their mother or Daemon for protection and Aemond walked up to you and took your daughter into his arms, while she blabbed excitetly at her father. “It seems, my love, that you scare them off.” you said, smilig at him. “Hmmm. Good. It is best they learn their place. I am not so easily defeated now.” and with that he placed his hand on the small of your back and guided you in direction of your chambers. When you walked inside, Aemond placed your daughter in her cradle, while you sat next to the fireplace. “I wish for you to behave today. I know that their presence irritates you, but it is not for long and we don’t need any fights today. Gods know my father is only waiting for a reason to kill us all, so it will be best not to give him one.” Aemond only hummed at that and went to stand behind you to massage you neck. “You’re tense.” he stated the obvious. “Of course I am. It is stressfull enough to be in one keep with him. Seriously Aemond, do not do anything to cause a fight today, I beg you.” you truned to look him straight into the eye. “For you, my darling wife, I will be civil, but don’t expect me to be nice.” he answered. You nodded in confirmation. That was all you needed.
Finally it was time for the petitions to be held. You stood between Aemond and Heleana, looking straight into the eyes of Prince Daemon Targaryen and he held your gaze, as if it was a staring contest. Lord Hand stood before the Iron Throne and declared the petitions to be open. First one to make his was Ser Vaemond. His statement was going all about the Velaryon blood, and how his supposed nephews did not have a drop of it in themselves. Princess Rhaenyra tried to intervene, only to be stopped by you mother-in-law. At the end of his petiton he put himself forward as the successor of his brother. It was now the turn of your stepmother to defend her son’s right. She walked gracefully towards the throne and started to say “If I have to grace this farce, I must remind you, that yearly twenty years ago in this very room..”
She was interrupted by the doors swinging open as the knight announced “King Viserys Targaryen, First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.”. Everyone couldn’t hide their surprise, after all, the king hasn’t been seen in a long time, too sick to even get up from his bed. And yet here he was, walking to the throne with a golden mask covering half of his face, leaning on the support of a cane. “Father has once again come to defend his only child.” sneered Aegon. You couldn’t help the scoff that escaped your lips, it was true, he never shown any care to anyone other than his eldest daughter, and for that you hated the man almost as much as you did your father. In your eyes he was a weak king and even a weaker man. Disgraceful.
In that moment everyone knew that Driftmark will be going to Lucerys, no matter how wrong it was and how many people protested against it. Luke was a sweet boy, but he had no right to the Driftwood Throne. “I don’t understand why are we discussing a settled succesion.” the king said after finally settling on the throne. “The only one, who could offer keeper insight into Lord Corlys’ wishes is the Princess Rhaenys.”. The said princess took a step closer before answering her cousin. “Indeed Your Grace. It was in Lord Corlys’ wishes for Driftmark to be passed to his grandson, Lucerys Velaryon. His mind never changed, nor my support of him. Princess Rhaenyra offered to betroth her children, Jace and Luke to Baela and Rhaena. A proposal to which I heartily agree.” You all knew that is was pointless to argue now. Viserys affirmed Lucerys as the future Lord of the Tides, but it wasn’t acceptable to Ser Vaemond as he openly declared the sons of the heir as bastards. “I will have you tongue for that” rasped the king, but it wasn’t necessary. Prince Daemon Targaryen unnoticed by everyone sneaked behind Vaemond, Dark Sister in his hand, and cut off his head in one strike. Everyone in the hall got startled at that and the petitions were over. The King had to be carried out of the hall as he suddenly fell down.
“Did you see them? Flaunting their privilege without a care in the world. It is horrible how they think they can get away with everything.” you spoke on the way back to your chambers with Aemond trailing behind you. “Darling. Do not worry, it will not last long anyway.” your husband tried to coax you to calm down. After walking into the room, you headed straight to the cradle where Alysanne laid awake, playing with a dragon plushie you made for her during your tea with Helaena. The prince dismissed the maid who was watching your daughter and walked over to you two. “I’m scared Aemond. You saw what he did there. He has no restrain, I fear what he would do to us, to her.” you said and looked at the babe. “He will do nothing, for he would be called a kinslayer. And I shall protect you both with my life. Nothing will happen, I promise you.” That made you hug him and bury your face in his chest. Everything has to be alright.
The night came, and with it the dreaded family dinner, which was demanded by Viserys in honor of his family being all in the same place for the first time in six years. You were talking with Helaena about setting up another playdate for your kids, while your husbands stood to the side talking Gods know about what. Eventually, everyone took their seats. You and your husband were at the end of it, exactly in front of Lucerys and Rhaena. You all stood up when the King was carried in and so let the game of pretending begin. “It is good to see you all, together” Viserys started and Alicent proposed to say prayers. The King stood up for a speech. “My own face is no longer a handsome one, if indeed it ever was” he revealed his full face, which was missing an eye. He looked more like a skeleton than a human. “But tonight, I wish you to see me as I am. Not just a king, but your father.” he looked towards Rhaenyra, Aegon, Helaena and Aemond. “your husband” he said to Alicent. “and your grandsire who may not, it seems, walk for much longer among you.” Everyone’s faces displayed something else, but what they all had in common, was pain of seeing him suffer. “Let us no longer hold ill feelings in our hearts. The crown cannot stand strong if the House of the Dragon remains divided. Set aside your grievances. If not for the sake of the crown, then for the sake of this old man who loves you all so dearly.”. After his speech, Princess Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent made toasts to each other and the atmosphere became lighter. Everyone were enjoying themselves, the room was full of music, laughter, dancing, and pleasant conversations. It was all going smoothly until the pig was brought to the table and set directly in front of your husband. By that time Viserys was carried out as he felt worse. That made Lucerys chuckle, as he was reminded of Pink Dread, and send a smirk Aemonds way. This was his mistake, as the older prince suddenly slammed his hand onto the table, grabbed his cup and made the final toast of the night.
“Final tribute.” with saying that he had everyone’s attention and Aegon raised his cup in support of his brother. “To the health of my nephews: Jace…Luke…and Joffrey. Each of them handsome, wise…” every person in the room held their breath as their waited for inevidable. “Strong.” “Aemond” you and Alicent said at the same time, but he did not listen and he was not about to stop. “Come…Let us drain our cups to these three Strong boys.” that made Jace mad and he went to retaliate. “I dare you to say that again” the bronze haired boy said and everyone stood up from their seats in case a fight erupted. “Why? ‘Twas only a compliment” continued your husband. “Enough of that” you said at the same time Aemond aksed “Do you not thing yourself Strong?”. Jace came over and hit the elder prince straight on the jaw, but it did nothing for Aemond only laughed and shoved the Velaryon onto the floor.“Jace!” screamed Rhaenyra. Lucerys tried to join the fight to help his brother, only to be stopped by Aegon, who slammed him on the table. “That’s enough” said Alicent. You were mad and decided to storm out of the room.
Not much later you husband stepped into the comfort of your chambers where he found you staring outside the window. He walked closer but you immediately took a step back and hissed at him “I asked you not to do anything today. But as always you had to let your pride ruin everything. Now you put a target on our backs. Daemon won’t let this go.”. “My love…” he started only to be cut off by you. “No! I do not want to hear your pitiful excuses.” Aemond scowled at you and you could see him getting angry. “That bastard dared to laugh at me. AT ME! Because of that fucking pig! I was only defending myself!” you only scoffed at that and walked towards the fireplace, further away from him. “If you had any decency you would have ignored it. But you didn’t! Instead you behaved like some peasant and started throwing insults and then began a fight”. “Jaecerys hit me first! He began the fight!” your husband defended himself but his look softened as he saw how worried you were. He kneeled before you and took your hand in his placing a kiss atop of it. “I’m sorry darling. I should’ve composed myself and ignore him. You are right. Please forgive me”. You looked at him and pulled the eyepatch off his face. “I just worry. I don’t want anything bad to happen. We should probably head back to Runestone. I think we overstayed this visit.” Aemond agreed and you decided to set back to the Vale in a couple of days.
But what you didn’t know, is that you wouldn’t be able to return to your keep, as for when you were sleeping, King Viserys drew his last breath and told his lady wife the dream of song of ice and fire, which was interpreted to put Aegon on the throne. War was on the horizont and no one was safe. Your and your family’s happiness and peace is about to become EPHEMERAL.

A/N: My obsession with Aemond Targaryen and Ewna Mitchell reached to the point where i decided to give it a try and write something. Anyways, English is not my 1st language, so there may be some mistakes in writing. If you would like a part II of this story, please let me know in the comments. It would mean the world to me if you decided to leave a heat here ♡

Summary: You are playing hide and seek with your father, mother and brothers Luke and Jace when you wander into the greens side by chance. Once joined by your cousins and Queen Alicent, there is a cute fluffy moment where Aegon is a bit hesitant to join in, but eventually does. < part 2 >
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daemon turned round, moving his arm up over his eyes. – “One.” – he started counting making you laugh. – “Two… three…” – he continued. Rhaenyra and Jace already taking a run for it. You kept laughing, bouncing in excitement. Daemon chuckled underneath his breath. – “Y/n my darling, I can still hear you.” – he said without looking once. – “Y/n!” – Luke called out, running over to you. He took you by the hand, pulling you gently with him. – “Come little sister, we must hide.” – he told you.
“What about father?” – you asked curiously, pointing back at him while your brother pulled you away. Luke briefly looked up to the ceiling, wondering how you still weren’t getting the rules of this game. – “Father is the one who needs to be looking for us Y/n.” – he explained. You nodded following your brother round the corner. – “So I have to hide from father?” – you asked him to be certain. Luke hummed loud, quickening his pace.
He took another turn and another. He sighed relieved seeing a good place to hide. He hastened over to it, ready to grab the curtain when his hold got blocked. By his side Jace. – “What are you doing?” – Jace shout-whispered to keep his voice low. – “I’m hiding, what are you doing?” – Luke questioned pulling hard on the curtain. – “I saw it first! It is my hiding spot.” – he insisted on, pulling the curtain more towards him.
“No I saw it first!” – Luke insisted on, giving his brother a hard nudge. Jace clenched his jaw, nudging his brother back. – “Au!” – Luke said, giving his brother a good glare. – “Go hide somewhere else!” – Jace pressured on with a firm glare. – “No!” – Luke held his foot down. – “I’m the oldest!” – Jace made clear, sure to keep his voice down but powerful enough. Luke scoffed. – “That is no excuse.” – he replied giving him a slight push.
You watched the entire bickering, waiting patiently. You softly started humming a tune, wobbling on your feet. It made your brother end their bickering to look over their shoulders to you. – “You are supposed to be hiding Y/n.” – Jace spoke turning more towards you. – “I am…” – you responded sweetly. – “I’m going to hide with Luke.” – you added. Luke sighed loud, moving away from the corner. He knelt down to your height, taking you by the arm.
“You can’t hide with me Y/n.” – he said. – “Why not?” – you asked tilting your head a bit. Jace came joining in, kneeling beside his brother. – “You have to find a hiding place for your own.” – he held you by your other hand, making his words clear with his eyes. – “Oh…” – you replied saddened, looking down. – “That is the game Y/n.” – Jace said getting back up. Luke exhaled deep, getting up as well.
From around a corner came your mother out of breath. – “What are you all standing here, your father is coming!” – she warned panicky. Luke and Jace’s eyes widened ushering them to move. They almost bumped against each other in the rush to hide. Rhaenyra lifted the hem of her dress up, taking a further run for it. You turned round, leaving. Jace grabbed Luke by his arm to move him out of his way. It was then that he looked worriedly down.
Where is Y/n?” – he said aloud. Luke looked down for himself, eyes widening. – “Hiding I hope.” – he answered, slowly feeling a bit guilty of telling you off. Jace came to a realization, grabbing his brother by the shoulders. – “What if she gets lost in this big castle?” – he said worriedly. Luke swallowed ashamed. What if you did? You were but a child. It would be easy for you to get lost.
Both of them were overcome with worry and shame. Maybe they should’ve gone in hiding with you. Hearing their father’s voice in the background, made them panic. Jace pushed Luke aside, taking a run for it. Luke running in the opposite direction in the hopes of being able to find a hiding place before his father finds him.
You were running as fast as your little legs could carry you. Jace had said you needed to hide by yourself, so that is what you were going to do. Find a hiding spot so father wouldn’t be able to find you. Some ladies shrieked when you rushed past them. Soldiers darted away when you came chasing down the corridors. – “Princess!” – one of the guards called out in an attempt to slow you down. You ignored them, keeping your pace up.
You were hardly looking for a hiding spot as you just kept running. The game not entirely clear. You noticed a sudden change in guards. Their uniforms different then the one’s you were known to. Not really stopping to wonder why, you kept going. Laughing mischievous that you were hiding away from father. Would he have already found someone? Your mother? Brothers perhaps?
“Hey what are you doing here?” – you suddenly heard making you come to a stop. You felt scared when the guard came nearer, hands ready as if he was about to catch you. – “You’re not supposed to be here.” – he said. You panicked, screaming loud as you escaped under his arms just as he was about to grab at you. – “Hey! Come back here!” – he shouted turning around to go after you.
Calling it out, you hurried not wanting to be caught. The guard scared you. He called in a few fellow guards to join him on the chase. – “Stand still!” – one of them ordered. – “Get back here!” – another one warned you. Covering up your ears, you screamed loud in a panic. Heart thumping loudly against your chest. You nearly tripped as the storm of guards came closer.
Tears swelled up as they rolled down your cheeks. How much you wanted to be in hiding with any of your brothers now. Sniffing loud, your breath shuddered. There seemed to be no escaping them as you rushed into a room. Just any room. You had opened the door and busted inside, not caring what kind of room it was. Out of breath, you were panting against the heavy door.
“Y/n?” – your eyes widened seeing Queen Alicent slowly rise from her chair, holding a piece of parchment. Near her turned her two sons Aegon and Aemond around to you. – “What are you doing here?” – Alicent asked kindly. You firmly wiped your tears away. Aemond batting his eye down. Alicent softened her expression, coming nearer. – “What is it little Y/n?” – she asked coming up to you where she knelt down.
At the sight of her, you started crying more. Alicent brushing her fingers through your hair to sooth you. – “What happened Y/n?” – she asked. Aegon puffed loudly, crossing his arms. Aemond shot him a glare for acting like this. Your lip trembled. – “Did you get lost?” – Alicent said as you nodded with more tears streaming down your face. Alicent clicked her tongue softly, moving you closer to her for an embrace.
“We were playing hide and seek.” – you told her with a loud shudder. – “Hide and seek?” – Aemond repeated intrigued, coming closer. You nodded as Alicent wiped some tears away. – “That sounds fun.” – she addressed. You nodded again. – “I wasn’t allowed to hide with Luke.” – you told them. Aemond came kneeling beside his mother, holding a hand out to you. – “Did he now little cousin.”
“That is the game!” – Aegon pitched in from afar. Aemond batted his eye briefly up to the ceiling in despair. – “If I were Luke, I would’ve allowed you to hide with me.” – he said making you smile a bit. – “Would you cousin?” – you replied seeing him nod with a loud hum. You gasped loud, jumping into Aemond’s arms when there was a loud knock on the door. Alicent rose as the door entered. A guard popped his head inside. – “Yes?” – Alicent asked quirking her eyebrow up.
The guard’s eyes fell upon you. – “Good, you found her.” – he said making Alicent look down at you. – “This kid’s been wandering at the wrong side of the castle. I’ll get her out of here, your grace.” – he said with a bow. Alicent saw how you pressed yourself closer to Aemond, clearly frightened by the guard. – “Tell me.” -Alicent spoke, holding her chin up. – “Have you been chasing Rhaenyra’s daughter all around this area?” – the guard wasn’t sure what the meaning of her question was but nodded anyway.
Alicent smiled sarcastically to the guard. – “You may go!” – she insisted on. – “But the child.” – the guard begged. Alicent moved her hand up to silence him. – “Leave!” – she made clear. The guard bowed his head, taking his leave. Alicent took a deep breath, composing herself. – “Apologies Y/n. I hope the guards haven’t scared you too much?”
“I…I didn’t mean to wander off.” – you told her as Aemond was still holding you. – “I was just looking for a place to hide from father.” – Alicent shushed you taking your hand. – “All is well Y/n.” – she said. Aemond got back up, following his mother. – “You can stay here if you like, hide from your father.” – she turned round to wink at you. That made you laugh giddy. Aemond picked you up, setting you on the bed. You started jumping on the bed as Aemond tickled you. It made you squirm and come to a stop.
He kept tickling you till you fell back onto the matrass. You felt a pillow underneath you, pulling it away. Aemond looked stunned when you had thrown a pillow at him. Aegon snorting loud. Aemond turned round bothered to his brother. Aegon held his tongue, trying to keep a straight face. Aemond grabbed the pillow, throwing it towards his brother. Aegon ducked down as the pillow hit an oblivious Alicent. You laughed loud as Aemond had widened his eye. – “Mother I am sorry…”- he apologized.
Alicent picked up the pillow, hesitating a moment before surprising Aemond by throwing it back at him. You were laughing loud as Aemond wiped that smile of your face by hitting you. You fell backwards onto the matrass. Alicent and Aemond quickly grabbed a few pillows to defend themselves. Soon a series of throws were exchanged, hitting each other.
Aegon was the only one not participating. He was glancing your way, hearing your loud sweet laughter. Groaning loud, he couldn’t hold it anymore. He grabbed a pillow, joining the fight that seemed like so much fun. He got hit by a pillow, falling onto the matrass with you. You knelt down, hitting him repeatedly with a pillow. - “I surrender cousin.” – Aegon called out as you kept laughing. He got a bit up, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you down on the matrass with him. Tickling you in revenge.

♕ SUMMARY: The world works in mysterious ways and so does the residents of Kings Landing. One never knows what they find in the alleyways and rooftops. Whores, drunks, knights, thieves, sometimes even Princes.

Kings Landing. Home to the vile, cruel, and everything in between. You fall somewhere in the middle, a gray area—child thief. But where do petty thieves and struggling patrons fall in that spectrum? A child struggling to eat as the Targaryens sit in their fancy castle with more food and resources than necessary. This reality plagues you on the most challenging days and hardens you on the coldest nights.
"Stop that girl!" A man screamed, expertly sliding beneath a merchant table. You duck down an alleyway. Your heart hammering in your chest as you struggle to keep your hood from blocking your eyes. A sea of splintering colors and faces blend into a mix of nothingness, your focus evading the angry voice behind you. As you march forward, you turn a final corner, your eyes over your shoulder.
"Hey, watch it!" You grimace at the blinding pain, stumbling backward. In front of you, a boy groans, rubbing his forehead. His tunic worth more than everything you own, and his boots resembling a pair you stole a few moons back. He carries nothing visible to the eyes, nothing to quick swipe.
"You ran into me," He scoffs. Rolling your eyes, you push past him with your shoulder. In one swift motion dipping your hand in his pocket, nothing. His hand wrapping around your wrist, pulling you back, allowing you to skim his other—still nothing, "Are you thick in the skull, girl?"
"No, I'm in a hurry, so bugger off, would you!" You swing your hand connecting with his cheek, the smack echoing through the busy road. He releases your wrist with wide eyes, ignoring his face; glancing over his shoulder, your eyes widen at the sight of the Gold Cloaks. They carefully scan the road as you duck down a deadend, planting your back against the wall.
"Prince Aemond, it is not safe for you to be beyond the gates unattended," Narrowing your eyes the boy grins. He removes his hood with a smug fire in his eyes as you stare at his pure silver hair. You have indeed done it this time. You struck a Prince—a Targaryen Prince. Every part of your brain screams to make a run for it, mentally preparing to scale the wall behind you as the Prince commands the Gold Cloaks to seize you, but none of that happens. Instead, the Prince merely chuckles under the knight's gazes as you stand behind them.

Instead, the Prince merely chuckles under the knight's gazes as you stand behind them.
"Of course, Ser Harwin. Will you escort me back?" He says. The knight nods his head, turning toward the way of the castle. Aemond does not move immediately, and the two of you stare at each other. You offer a half nod before turning to the wall, carefully climbing it before disappearing altogether.
That night you laid in your hammock staring up at the stars, the moment still fresh in your mind. You struck the Prince, and he—he helped you? Shaking off the thought sleep found you almost faster than the painfully bright sun the following day. Walking through the market with most of your coils and curls pulled into two tight braids, the coins you stole the day prior ready to purchase today's breakfast.
"Thank you, Daltis. Tell Cayde I said hi," You say, handing him your coins as you turn toward the stairs with bread and a pail of water. The sun beams restlessly as you walk without a care through the streets. An occasional hello to locals who know you and a few choice words between yourself and the patrons you have stolen from. Nearing the closest thing you can call home comes to a halt as the familiar tight grip holds your bicep.
"Oh, come on, Lord Strong. I didn't even do anything today," Your matter-of-fact tone earns a sigh with a pointed stare. He backs you up onto a wall, a soft look in his eyes despite the patronizing finger he points at you.
"Kid, you keep it up, and I will have to deal with you. Here. Stop stealing. Do I make myself clear?" He holds out a pouch to you. Rolling your eyes, you snatch it from his hands.
"You keep doing this, and I keep telling you—I'm not your problem," You fail at pushing past him the strength of a ten-year-old girl, nothing compared to a grown man. A huff leaves your lips as you glare daggers up at him, "You're not my father, okay? Just leave me alone."
Harwin stares down at your small stature; opening his mouth, he closes it as nothing leaves his lips. He takes a step back, unblocking your path. You roll your eyes a final time before marching off. Back at the dead-end alley, you scale the wall, balancing carefully as you run to the next roof. There you plop onto your hammock, closing your eyes and placing your foot on the ground to slow the rocking. The busy chatter of the city melding into one indiscernible mix of movement.
"Ow," You mutter, opening your eyes just as another rock soars through the air—a few feet short of the hammock. Then, as another flies whizzing past your head, you stomp over to the roof's edge. Down below stands the boy—the Prince, his hood covering his hair. "Are you crazy?"
"Says the one who struck a Prince?" He asks, raising an eyebrow as you roll your eyes, muttering touché. You stare down at him, furrowing your eyebrows as he stares back at you.
"Have you come to stalk me in the streets, or do you need something, my prince?" Your mocking tone earns a dry chuckle as he shakes his head.
"Show me how to get up there. I saw you go down the deadend, but I can't figure out how you got up," Aemond says, furrowing your eyebrows. It's now your turn to chuckle.
"And why exactly would I do that?" You ask, watching as he puffs up his chest. So many people in the streets ignore the two of you—just another pair of Kings Landing's bastards.
"Because as your Prince, I command it," He says, his voice cracking as he squares his shoulders. You tilt your head back as a loud laugh leaves your lips, his stiff stature faltering.
"Oh really? You Targaryens are a riot. What's next shall I curtsy and fetch you a cup of wine? Oh, let me apologize before you bring your dragon and melt me from existence," You taunt, resting your chin on your elbow that you prop against the edge. His eyebrows pull as he clenches his jaw, all semblance of amusement leaving him as his eyes sharpen.
"How dare you! You're nothing but a stupid street rat!" He exclaims, scoffing. You spit down at him, narrowing your eyes before returning to your hammock. Mentally scolding yourself for once again disrespecting the Prince of the Seven Kingdoms. You ignore his demands for you to return, despite the possibility of dire consequences.
"Bugger off, you boorish oaf!" You yell. After dodging a few more rocks, he throws up at you, he seemingly gives up. You are fuming at the nerve of him. Even as you sit high above him, he finds a way to look down on you, a stupid street rat.
The pouch of coins Ser Harwin gave you affords new furs, a cheap tent, and a week worth of food. You do your best to ration the remaining funds while looting unsuspecting patrons. It had been a fortnight since the Prince's last visit, and you did your best to not dwell on the unpleasant conversation. A huff leaves your lips as you walk back toward your home with empty pockets. The Gold Cloaks litter the streets leaving you little to no opportunity to make a quick coin. You stop by Mysaria to look for a bounty hunting job, but for the first time in your work with her, she has nothing. Not a single person to hunt down for owed funds, the Gold Cloaks ‘cracking down’ on crime.
“Dammit, Harwin,” You mutter, taking a deep breath as you turn down your road. The clear plan for the next few moons now squandered to mere weeks. Rounding the building into the alley, you pause, eyebrows furrowing as Aemond lifts his head. His face tomato red with his back against the wall as he sits on the ground. You watch as he sniffles before looking back down, hiding within his cloak. Closing your eyes, you whisper royal problems only bring trouble. Repeating it like a mantra in your mind as though you fear it will leave you.
You open your eyes immediately, groaning at the tug in your chest. While the Prince happens to be a douche, you are not. You walk over, begrudgingly joining him on the ground. Neither of you says a word at the other’s side or even looks at the other. Just mindlessly watching people pass by on their daily tasks. The silence setting ease between you, laughing as a woman screams at her husband, as a man fails to flirt with a woman, as Gold Cloaks patrol with an allusive, almost lurking nature. So many moving parts in such a small area.
“Hey, uh—if you want, I can teach you how to climb up—but only if you promise not to tell anyone,” You say, turning to him with a tight-lipped smile. Then, for a second, you both just stare, furrowing your eyebrows in an awkward huff before turning away. A pause ensues before Aemond lifts his fist toward you, “Deal.”
You bump his fist with yours before rising to your feet. At first, you both chuckle nervously as silence dances between you both. Then, you scale the wall, giving him a view of how to do it. Then, you laugh as he insists on being able to do it after just a demonstration alone.
“You know it’s okay—I failed plenty of times befor—“ You say leaning on the wall at his third failed attempt.
“I can do it myself!” He growls, glaring daggers at you. Pinching the bridge of your nose, you huff. Why the hell did I do this? You cross your arms, scowling at the back of his head as he fails a fourth time. He hunches down, hands on his knees, as he pants heavily. Turning his head, he catches your gaze, visibly sinking at the sight.
“I’m sorry for yelling at you. My brother and nephews they—“ He inhales sharply, fiddling with his fingers with sunken eyes. You bite the inside of your cheek, watching him rock on the balls of his feet. A poignant stare in his eyes before his eyebrows pull together, and he scoffs, “They gave me a pig.”
“A what?” You furrow your eyebrows as he avoids your gaze, a look of defeat in his eye.
“My dragon egg didn’t hatch. They said they found a dragon for me, but it was a pig. Pink dread, they called it,” He murmured, staring at the ground, leaving you to sigh heavily. Your own taunts rang in your ears at the sight of him, "They all laughed at me."
“You want to talk about it or learn how to climb the wall?” You ask, chewing on your inner lip. He huffs, biting his lower lip before pushing it into a pout as he gives the wall a look over, “Can you please show me how to climb the wall?”
“Okay,” You nod. Joining Aemond's side, you point to the chipped-in crevice. You use your left foot to boost off and swing your right leg over the wall. He tries again, getting the motion down but not swinging his leg high enough. On his second try, you nearly cheer prematurely as he almost makes it.
“Oh no, no, you’re going to get it. I promise,” You exclaim, folding your hands in front of your face with a nervous smile. Aemond sighs, running up, freezing as his leg goes over, and he sits on the wall. A large smile breaks across your face as his jaw drops. “You did it!”
“Yeah,” He chuckles. You direct him which way to cross before following behind him. At the top, you freeze as he stands in the center of your things, glancing around curiously.
“Uh yeah, this is me—“ You massage the back of your neck with a sheepish grin. Never have you brought anyone into your space, let alone a Prince. He points to your hammock, looking at you. Nodding your head, you watch as he sits staring at you. “The Prince and the Street Rat. We are disgustingly cliché friends. So how does this work?”
“I think we could figure it out,” He says, chuckling as his confidence glimmers through his meek exterior. You join him in the hammock, looking up at the sky.
“I despise your family,” You say. Neither of you turn to the other as he shrugs, “That’s fair.”
“No Royal drama,” You say, turning your head toward him. He meets your gaze nodding vehemently. Placing your foot on the ground, you swing the hammock, “So essentially, you’re saying your family is as awful as I imagine them to be.”
“Not necessarily. Not my mom. My brother and nephews mock me, father ignores me, and Rhaenyra has never seemed to care much for us,” Aemond lists off, his voice wavering as he stares at the waning sun.
“Sometimes us forgotten children have to pave our way on our own,” You shrug your shoulders, watching the sky as he eyes you. “You should start heading home, Aemond. Remember, no royal drama.”
“Of course. I will try to visit you tomorrow,” He says, crouching down to descend the wall. Opening your mouth to warn him of the particular way to go down, a loud grunt stops you.
“You okay?” He immediately responds, leaving you to giggle silently as he scurries away.
Keeping his word, he visits the next day and the day after, almost as if it were a part of his royal duties. He always arrived with something he conveniently non longer needed anymore, so thought you’d want it. The gestures were kind, but an ache raged in your chest.
“Aemond, thank you for everything. Truly but you have to stop bringing me things,” You say softly, taking his hand in your lap.
“Why?” He frowns, and you grit your teeth, speaking slowly, “I feel more like your charity case than your friend, and I detest it.”
“Oh, my apologies, I never meant—I’m sorry,” He says, casting his gaze down as he fiddles with the ends of his tunic.
“Don’t fret over it. You’re my friend and will continue to be so,” You shrug with a lopsided smile as you stare at each other. Your grin grows as he nudges your arm, whining for you to move over. “For what? So you can practice brooding as I relax?”
“I actually brought a book,” You playfully snore as he explains the philosophy text and his interest in the subject matter.
“You will one day wish you taught yourself this,” Aemond says, opening his book, and you lean back, still looking up at him.
“I’m busy learning the art of surviving. I’ll take street smarts every time,” You say matter-of-factly. He scoffs, a grin on his lips as he shakes his head.
“You’re smart. You could do more,” Aemond’s optimism earns a chuckle that does not meet your eyes.
“Don’t be ignorant, Aemond. It is so easy to dream so frivolously when the world was built for you,” He frowns, nodding his head cautiously as your words sink in. The visits rarely deviate from the same pattern, but you both savor each and every one. Even if the entire visit consists of bickering, the next visit carries on as though nothing ever happened.
For a time, this carried on until word spread through the kingdom about the death of Laena Velayron. The Aunt of his nephews, Prince Jacaerys and Lucerys. His presence in Driftmark required him to support his family. As you awaited his return, you continued your usual daily schedule, and without a doubt, it was odd not hearing the short Prince grunting up the wall. Or laughing at his seemingly always disheveled hair.
When word traveled of their return, nothing came for you from Aemond. For a time, you grew bitter, the sting of his absence and the death of Ser Harwin feeding a deep seeded disappointment. Rounding the corner down your street, you falter while approaching your alley. A Gold Cloak stands at the opening as another climbs the wall.
“What the hell!” You mutter as a replacement Harwin stands before you. When he calls your name, you cut back to make a break for it, only to find another Gold Cloak behind you. Your heart hammers in your chest as they lead you through the streets, the sun waning as your mind explores every punishment ever sentenced to thieves.
Worst case scenario, they take a hand, walking through the Red Keep a loud ringing sound in your ears. You wish Ser Harwin would round the corner as he often did and assure his peers he could take it from there. Instead, your breaths are shaky as your eyes sting from dryness and your lips burn from wetting them too much. Through the massive halls, you hold yourself carefully, clearly standing out from others in the corridor. Down a second hall, the Cloak stops at a vast door knocking twice before saying, “Your grace, we’ve come with the girl.”
“Come in,” A woman’s voice calls out, cautiously pushing the door open, you enter at a slow—cautious pace. The Queen stands with furrowed eyebrows at the sight of you, her green dress more expensive than your life. Aemond sits by the fire blocking his face as he stares forward. You glare daggers at the side of his head, the room's coziness doing little to ease the tension in the air.
“You liar! You promised!” You seethe, your face scrunching as the Queen gasps.
“You may not address the Prince like that girl!” Alicent exclaims, her eyes furious as you stare blankly at her.
“No, mother, it is okay. This is her, remember? She’s my friend—the one I told you about,” He says, turning toward you. He offers a weak smile as your face falls. The prominent stitching draws attention to a little over a quarter of his face. “The one I told you I want to help.”
The Queen’s annoyance dissolves as she looks at you, Aemond’s tales of your life plaguing her thoughts. She places her hands on your shoulders, an overbearing expression oozing in a suffocating waft of pity. “There’s a place for you here in the court if you ever decide you want it.”
“I don’t,” You say immediately, keeping your gaze on the floor. Alicent joins your side with a motherly shine in her eyes as she looks at you.
“I know. I just want you to know the offer is always there,” Alicent's words soothing as she excuses herself, leaving you to glare at her son.
“You promised,” You whine, hanging your head. Aemond swallows thickly while you bounce on the balls of your feet.
“I’m sorry. I wanted to see you, but as of late, I always have someone watching me,” Aemond speaks barely above a whisper when he turns to you. For a second time, you take in his sewn-up eye, red and puffy. Then, your glare dissolves, eyebrows furrowing while taking two cautious steps forward.
“What the hell happened?” You ask slowly as a servant stands by the window, avoiding looking at either of you.
“Like you said, my family sucks. That bastard Lucerys took my eye because I gained a dragon,” He says. Your eyes widen at his words, sending a smile across his lips.
“You finally got your dragon. See now, you truly are a pompous Prince,” You curtsy mockingly with a wide smile. In the back of your mind, the defeated, teary-eyed Prince you have befriended now finally getting his heart's only desire. “I’ll forgive you this time, only because you got your dragon. Which one is yours?”
“The biggest one, Vhagar,” He says, grinning as you take his hand, offering a squeeze. You do not stay long, nor do you miss the Queen’s presence by the door. She had been listening.
“(Y/n),” She calls out. Stopping in your tracks, you offer her a terrible curtsy. You bite the inside of your cheek, saying yes, your grace. “To my knowledge, you have made my son very happy. I am more grateful than you know. I understand refraining from the court, but I am Queen. I must ensure my son's safety, and hanging with you on rooftops is not good enough. Your belongings have been moved to the Inn Keep not far from the castle's main gates. Word is already spreading of his mutilation; he will no longer be able to continue venturing deep into the city. So you will be accessible to him outside the main gates. You may show yourself out.”
You frown, watching as she walks down the corridor. At the Inn Keep, the man at the desk bounces around nonstop. He avoids your gaze and chuckles sheepishly into the silence as he scrambles through his things. Upon handing you the key, he bows. Frowning, you leave him without another word. Your room's at the very top floor, and you do a spin taking in the enclosed walls. Comparatively small in regards to the room Aemond sat in.
On the desk sits a pouch and sealed parchment. The Targaryen wax seal staring back at you ominously.
By order of Viserys Targaryen, first of his name. King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First men. Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the realm.
You stare poignantly at the words of the King—you are sure they were written at the Queen’s behest. Battling the strong urge to be sick in your sweetly decorated cage. The parchment declaring you officially in service to the Prince. You slam the parchment on the desk turning to the tiny fireplace and bed with more furs than necessary staring back at you. A suitable living arrangement, but at what cost?
When Aemond finally musters the courage to arrive outside the gates, you show him the decree. He only shrugs it off, muttering there are worse situations in the world.
“But now I cannot tell you to bugger off as I please,” You say, matching his pace as you both walk through the market.
“You were never allowed to do that. You just lack manners,” Aemond chuckles, pulling his hood down carefully, hiding his face. You walk past the tables in awe of your options. No longer patrolling to steal breakfast but to pay for it.
“What do you have for me today, Daltis?” You say, grinning widely at the old man. He chuckles softly, shaking his head as he disappears inside. “Street knowledge. When it comes to imports and exports, Daltis is your guy for food, clothes, and people. He almost always has a connection if you need something done quickly and quietly.”
“Here you are, little lady, and for your friend. Not certain about the name, but it’s sweet. Just came in from Dorne,” He says, digging through your pouch; you freeze as Aemond hands him more coins than necessary. Daltis’s jaw drops as his eyebrows furrow, but Aemond only shrugs, ducking his head down to avoid the man's gaze. You watch as Daltis thanks him profusely. Aemond turns on his heels biting into the almost fuzzy substance. You follow suit furrowing your eyebrows as the sugary flavor melts on your tongue.
“Prince Aemond Targaryen the generous,” You tease, and he scoffs, the corners of his lips tugging. In the corner of your eye, you note the guard watching you both. You frown, retracing your steps—has he been following us the entire time? Whether Aemond knows remains a toss-up as he gushes about Vhagar. “All that crying like a baby only for you to get the largest beast ever! Do you feel silly now?”
“I was not crying like a baby!” He exclaims. Outside the Inn, you drop to your knee, a sardonic smile on your lips.
“My apologies, my Prince. Please accept the remnants of this Dornish treat as penance for my foolish ways, your grace,” He slaps your hand, scoffing as a laugh bubbles from deep in your stomach. Up in your room, he falls back on your bed, staring up at the ceiling. You join him, watching the unremarkable walls.
"Isn't this highly inappropriate for you to be in here with me alone?" You ask, turning your head to face him. He only chuckles, pointing out that it applies more to you, but you are not a high-born lady, so it does not matter.
“Would it be wrong to say I miss your rooftop?” He asks. You raise an eyebrow reminding him losing the rooftop was his fault. He sharply nudges your arm with his elbow, laughing to yourself, both of you basking in the silence. It stays like this until a knight retrieves him.
Tumblr media
The years fly without a hitch between you both. However, you have the singular misfortune of meeting Prince Aegon. About a year after Aemond lost his eye, it became apparent the court was aware of your existence. Aegon laughed giddily at the sight of you, admitting he always thought his brother was lying.
"You never bother her! Ever, do you understand me?" Aemond exclaimed, not caring about being seen in the middle of the markets. Patrons gawking at the sight of the two.
"Relax, little brother, we just exchanged a few words. You see when I bite, she bites back. A sharp-tongued little friend of yours. I am curious to know her other talents," Aegon laughed as he offered you a half nod before disappearing into the city.
Unlike the eventfulness of that day, typically, Aemond teaches you court etiquette and aids in refining your reading skills, while failing to teach you high Valyrian. You keep him humble, reminding him that an entire world exists outside his palace.
Offering the desk man a wave, you rub your eyes while marching up the stairs. In your room Aemond sits by the window, not bothering to turn or acknowledge your arrival. The fireplace you have never touched crackles, warming your entire room. You are certain the desk man has given him a key, but the Prince ignores you each time you inquire about it.
“Do you break into every girl's chamber to brood, or do you honor me, my prince?” You tease, setting down your woven bag on your desk. Unpacking the water, bread, and fruit you purchased from the markets.
“Is it breaking in if I pay for it?” He asks, unmoving from the window. You remind him that the King pays for it, removing your tunic and pants, switching into the only gown you own. You halt at the sight of a box on your bed.
“You know I hate gifts,” You say, ignoring the smirk on his lips as you eye the box.
“You hate lots of things. It's your sixth and tenth name day. Shall I expect suitors at your door?” He asks, a tight-lipped smile on his face. Rolling your eyes and walking to your bed, you run your fingers over the intricate detailing of the box. The Targaryen sigil expertly carved on the top. Inside sits a beautifully sewn green gown. “My gift for your name day is still in preparation. That is from my mother.”
Holding up the gown, your eyes narrow, raising an eyebrow as you meet Aemond's eye, “And what is it that she wants from me?”
“Must there always be a motive with my mother?” He sighs, shamelessly you nod your head.
“She’s your mother, the Queen. So I respect her out of my respect for you and my responsibility as her subject. But I don’t trust her or any royal particularly,” You say, running the dress between your fingers. A silence lingering in the air as he watches you.
“Do you trust me?” His question brings a stillness to the room. Fiddling with the intricate detail in the chest area.
“Would you like the honest answer or the expected one?” He frowns at your words, biting his lower lip into a pout at your question.
“Since when did you differentiate the two?” He asks, shrugging, you take a seat on your bed under his waiting gaze.
“I’m no longer that ten-year-old girl who can get away with such a brutal tongue to those far above my station. I speak to you as I please out of our mutual understanding. I do not share that with your family, but because of our friendship, I must be prepared to address your family. I hope that day never comes but realistically, I must,” You shrug your shoulders, sighing at the chains that appear as a gown—binding you to the Greens. He says nothing for a long while, leaving you to inspect the dress, “There is turmoil in your family, Aemond. You know it, I know it, and so does everyone else. When the King leaves, he will leave behind royal drama. I have only asked two things of you and you already broke one. Please do not break the other. Your mother sending this gown all but confirms my fears. She intends for me to wear this, and I am certain it won’t be for the markets.”
“I’ll speak with my mother,” He rises to his feet, taking commanding strides to the door making your eyebrows furrow. You call out to him, but he does not turn back, saying, “I’ll be around soon.”

Dear older brother
Lucerys velaryon as your brother (platonic) the beginning of your relationship to the end of it..
Fem reader! Sorry, it's just easier to write for girls as a girl myself. I do hope you understand
Tumblr media
Lucerys is your older brother as you were born a year after Luke was born a bastards, just like your two older brothers having dark hair and dark eyes
Though your mother Rhaenyra doesn't like it when you call yourself that neither do your two brothers bit alas you still do when upset with yourself
Lucerys HATES being called Lukey by everyone that's not you, and you hate when others (besides joffery, jace, and your mother) call him lukey
You and jace mainly use it when you are teasing him, and sometimes Rhaenyra joins in
You two where sat next to each other at dinner, always whispering about something or someone you always did strive to make your older brother laugh
Luke is more open with you because you would come into his chambers and let your brother rant to you
Often, big events ended in him in your arms crying after something stressful happened. I'm his chambers, though you didn't mind
You're usually the one consoling him if your mother hadn't beat you to it
You are the definition of a brothers girl
You are usually seen next to luke or walking besides him
Though if Lucerys isn't off with jacerys doing something most likely practicing sword fighting, you'd be seen with your mother Rhaenyra
During important dinners or really any social event your mother planned or was invited to, you'd always would be seen standing next to luke or sitting with him whispering to Luke
Most likely, just you gossiping to him about something another Lord told you or how disgusting one of the lords where with you
-----------
You bumped Lucerys gently with your elbow whispering to your older brothers "so.. how are you 'enjoying' this beautiful banquet older brother?" Giggling as you saw his quick roll of the eyes before he replied back in a hushed tone
"Oh, I see how it is.. how was dancing with almost every lord tonight?" Luke said with a sly smirk on his pale face. Now it was your turn to roll your eyes. Your feet hurt from all of the dancing you had to do tonight it was almost as bad as your name day.. "delightful." You replied in a strained voice. Luke had laughed at that, making you smile and laugh along with your brother, elbowing him harder this time, making him yelp out in pain.
You two quickly composed yourselves when your older brother turned his head over to the two of you making you straighten your back and look away from his gaze not seeing the small smile on his face form from seeing his two younger siblings seeming to have fun teasing one another.
-----------
Luke is the calmer one between the both of you which was funny as your mother thought that her having a girl after her two boys would mean the two older boys where going to be the ones protecting their younger sister from others when it turned out to be the complete opposite, not that Rhaenyra minded at all she was proud that her first daughter could defend herself
Though she did wish that you would hold your tongue at times as you would go head first into arguments no matter if your brothers were in the wrong or not
One of your brothers could have been the ones that got the facts wrong, but you would have defended them with your life, that made you get into physical altercations with many lords and some lady's aswell
Though Rhaenyra was proud of that as well as as Luke was rather reserved, it was like she had given birth to a second jacerys. Just this time, you could punch harder than jacerys could..
You were a natural when it came to learning High Valyrian much like Luke was
When you got the news of your mother being pregnant, it left you overjoyed, so you so dearly wanted to know if you had a little sister coming. Look. It's hard being the only girl in a family with mainly men.
When your baby brother joffery was born, you adored him from the moment you first got a glimpse of him
You always volunteered to watch over little joffery, to teach him how to walk and how to say his first words
Though this did leave Lucerys a bit envious of his little brother joffery and how he seemed to take up all your time and attention
It caused Luke to start giving you a bit of the cold shoulder rolling his eyes when your little brother was brought up
When you had figured out why Luke was giving you the cold shoulder for a few weeks, you laughed and teased him for it
You and Jace had started teasing Luke about it for months on end
You had started spending all your free time teaching your younger brother how to speak and colors, much to Luke's dismay, often seen in Jofferys' room reading to him, as you had always wanted a younger sibling and you had finally gotten one a well mannered one at that.
You were a tad bit upset that he wasn't a girl, though you had quickly gotten over that once you saw him
When you where younger you used to follow Luke around just like little joffery does to you
It was funny to Rhaenyra that joffery acts so much like his older sister
though she was glade that unlike his okder sister, joffery didn't go and dig up holes in the ground, looking for worms much to her dismay when finding her daughter outside, digging up bugs from the ground..
You were never too fond of Daemon, though he seemed to be fond of you quite a lot being as he has daughters of his own so he understood you on a level your brothers just didnt.
he was the first one to defend you, or he'd just appear by your side randomly at times
once you had punched him out of shock, though he just smiled as your punch didn't do much.... that day hurt your pride and ego very much, though you were just happy you didn't get punched back.
You and your mother Rhaenyra got along swell she's gets you the most since your two woman
You being Rhaenyras' first daughter and all making you have a special place in her heart as you weren't going to get a fancy title like you had always hopped for as you were sadly born a woman. And your brothers men.
Yours and lucerys safe place was always near the water
Least to say, after his death, it was no longer your safe space it was a place of fear and death.
You had gotten news of your elder brother lucerys death when you were getting ready for bed. The news brought you to your knees in tears, your mothers soft voice trying to calm you down
It took hours for you to stop crying. Your eyes had a red rim around them with rear stained cheeks
You wouldn't come out of your room and barely talked much after for almost half a month
The funeral couldn't even be called one as all you had of your brother was clothes. They couldn't find your elder brothers body, and that made the anger in that you boil up a bit, making you snappy at people
You had sympathy for aemond before he killed your brother, you did feel a bit bad for his eye being stabbed out by your older brother feeling guilty everytime you saw him with that eyepatch he is a child like yourself afterall..
You never did hate aemond you two would well 'talk' it was more of exchanging words when you had too though Jace always seemed to come in and swoop you away you where always greatful for that
Aemond took every chance he could to remind you of how your brother took his eye
you didn't know what kind of reaction the older boy wanted to gauge from your but he never seemed quite happy with the reactions you had
He only seemed pleased when you would apologize for your older brother saying how he shouldn't have done that and things along those lines for some odd reason unbeknownst to you
Though you always found aemond to be a bit weird, so you brushed it off as aemond being aemond
After your brothers death your heart held no sympathy for the older boy
when you thought of the one eyed boy, all you could think about was taking his other eye from him and forcing him to live the rest of his pathetic life blind.
You could no longer see the ocean as safe and calm. You saw the true nature of what the oceab could truly do. Its waves were angry as it took the lives of people you held so very dearly into its depths to never be seen again. Maybe that's just how you saw it in your hour of grieving
After half a month, you were slowly healing your relationship with the sea, knowing that at least your brother died both as a targaryen and as a velaryon and he wasn't alone in death he had his beloved dragon both dead but dead together.

JaceLuke vs Lucemond
I started the fandome with Lucemond and now I am drifting towards JaceLuke: Here is why
Lucemond
So Lucemond has a lot of posibilities and I started reading it when their war less then 140 storys of it on AO3 now there are amost 3000. I still like it a lot but here is the one thing that bothers me somethimes. A lot of the storys (I guess over 50%) have either rape, voilents or some kind of non-con in it. There is nothing wrong with writing or reading that of course but I am just to soft for it. I want a sweet healty (at least as much as a story basted on the Targaryens can be) relationship and that is sometimes hard to get with Lucemond. It makes sence considering it's a lovestory based on a morderer and his victum. And the incident with the eye. And the fact that Aemond had not the best emotional upbringing or rolemodel when it comes to relationships. Still the point stands: I want my sweet Lucerys to be happy and save. Meanwhile Aemond is just the picture perfect supervilan for a farytail.
JaceLuke
That is realtive new from me but I grew to like it, because it's rather sweet. They have a good and healty relationship from the get go. They love each other as brothers and it's easy to built a loving romantic story on that. Jace is used to take care and protect Luke and Luke is used to look up to Jace and go to him for comfort. They would never want to hurt each other. In addition to that is their rather healty emotional upringing. Jace is raised to be responsible and wise. Damn he is like the prince in the fairytail who rescuse the princess (and Luke is the perfect damsel in destress, the princess in the tower).
So yea that is my reason for loving JaceLuke.
Mind you this is not meant to criticize anyone or anyones taste

PART 1
Part 2 here
YANDERE AEMOND TARGARYEN X OLDER SISTER READER
warning: stalking, obsessive behavior, Aemond simping for his older sister. Things may change in the following chapters so bare with me🥰.
Tumblr media
Aemond what are you doing?
Aemond jumped at the sound of his mother's voice quickly turning to face her, hoping she did not notice him stalking his older sister.
O-oh um nothing just walking around, said Aemond silently cursing himself for giving such a stupid excuse. Alicent raised an eyebrow at Aemond, feeling suspicious of Aemond's weird behavior. Ok then... said Alicent as she walked away from her son. Aemond sighed in relief as he turned to admire his sister again who was reading a book. Aemond always adored his sister, she was brave, smart, sweet, and a caring person. You always protect him whenever Aegon made fun of him. You were the only one who understood him. Aemond swears to himself that he will marry you in the future no matter what the cause.
You could not help but feel that someone was watching you, at first you thought that you were just imagining things, but the feeling of being watched just became stronger, you quickly grabbed your books and started to pack your things, starting to feel even more scared to the thought of someone watching you. Aemond noticed that you were starting to pack your things, did you find out that he was watching you? Aemond watched as you ran away, Aemond started to follow you, walking faster and faster. Aemond continued to follow you until he ran into someone, as he fell he looked up to see his brother, Aegon. watch where you are going! shouted Aegon, Aemond ignored what Aegon has said, quickly standing up to follow you again. Why are you in a hurry, Are you going somewhere? Asked Aegon, never seeing his brother in a rush before. It's none of your business Aegon, said Aemond as he walked past him, trying to catch up with you.

Here is my theory on how lucerys & aemond's costumes were absolutely supposed to be coordinating in episode 10, (i say absolutely but then again its a theory) there's a very obvious pattern in costuming of the kids in this episode & it comes to a harmony when aemond & luke meet in the end (which later breaks obviously)
Tumblr media
Minutes before the Storm's end scene we see jacaerys and lucerys in the halves of the targeryen colours, luke being the red half of their colours is established here and jace as the black half
Tumblr media
Sometime before, that we also see baela standing in jace's red half of the colours and rhaena standing in the back half with luke's and complementing the colours. The positioning and the fact baela is the only one with new costume, only to end beside jacaerys to make up his red half and rhaena luke's black half.
Tumblr media
Velaryon boys who are targaryen through and through are in both the colours through out the episode, before they are assigned their own halves of the targeryen colours when they leave as envoys.
Tumblr media
So far it's clear there's a costume coordination between characters which ends up in them completing the colours of targaryen sigil.
The fact ewan says aemond wears targeryen black to make himself seem and feel more like a targeryen is something that stuck out to me
he probably got his detail from condall or costume designer, but targ colours aren't just black, it's red and black, aemond is missing the red
With episode ten when aemond and lucerys meet they are decked in colours that make up the colours of the targ sigil but put on different sides, physically opposite side as well as in the conflict. And additionlly aemond loss of reason due to his desire for vengeance makes him blind to the fact luke is a targaryen too
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aemond is blind to his other half basically is what I'm saying. And I don't think they necesarily meant it romantically, I'm not delusional enough to push ship beliefs on show runners but I definitely it visually portrays house of the dragon dividing itself because of outsiders
Aemond and lucerys are one of the many pairings in the show the most broken relationships due to some irreversible emotional (& physical) damage caused to one another, the eye and bastard aligations. Neither are willing to take the first step but I don't think they're unwilling either..will complete that thought when I get to the dinner part but at the end we know ameond never meant any serious damage to luke, he didn't hate him enough to kill him or even want him dead...

Aegon and Jacerys can't figure out why all their schemes keep failing.
It's Joffery.
He heard Aegon and Jacerys planning one day and now he's on a mission. He likes ruining things.
Aemond doesn't like that Joffery is suddenly everywhere. He just keeps appearing out of nowhere. Aemond just wants to spend time with his boyfriend. He also wants Joffery to stop vaguely threatening him.
Lucerys loves how much time Joffery wants to spend with him. He seems to be warming up to Aemond which is nice. Lucerys loves spending so much time with the people he loves.
Daemon has never been prouder of Joffery. He really is his son. The threats, the schemes, and the secret passageways. He raised him right.
