Asian Drama Tropes 2024—April

For the @asian-drama-tropes event 2024. I’ll be publishing one true HotD drabble (100 words exactly) per month for the event, either lcmd or lcmd-adjacent :)

April | Prompt: recovery from poisoning this one is a follow-up to my March drabble where Aemond got poisoned!

Aemond grits his teeth. “I suppose you’d like me to thank you now, Lucerys?” His nephew smiles an infuriating little smirk and sits down on the edge of his bed. “Well, I just risked my dragon’s and my own life to find you a miracle cure straight from the hell of Doomed Valyria herself.” It’s unfortunately true. Aemond glowers down at his hands. By now they’ve stopped shaking, even if they still feel weak. “You were the only one who even believed there could be a cure, who didn’t just wait for me to die,” he says quietly. “…thank you.”

Aemond died during the eye incident. Years later, Luke is about to be married but is too anxious to get the words out, practicing in the woods, accidentally marrying the corpse of his uncle, who he didnt realise had been buried there.

Aemond, luckily, is too pleased about his wedding to hold a grudge. After he named his little wormy friend Vhagar, and got one of the oher dead people to stitch his face together, he pretty much got over his death.

Free Prompt: Fluffy Cuddling

Luke, drunk after the disastrous family dinner, can't sleep and seeks out his Uncle Aemond although he has no idea why. Aemond is alone in his room, staring at the fire, and doesn't object (but also doesn't understand) when Luke enters and cuddles into his lap. Luke feels good against him so he doesn't complain and holds him back.

They go to sleep in Aemond's bed, snuggled against each other. Luke says his family is leaving in the morning; Aemond asks him to stay a while longer. They sleep peacefully and in the morning have a lot to think about: Luke's family has left for Dragonstone without him, Viserys has died and there is a plot to put Aegon on the throne, and Aemond and Luke realize how right it feels to be together, even after (or perhaps because of) everything they've done to each other.

In ths scenario, he heeded his sisters vision, warnings & insists to borros let the bastard & his hatchling stay, lest they persih and he be blamed for it. Instead of just protecting HIS lord strong he proceeds to break in to his room and semi noncons him

why off your enemy when you can impregnate him 🤷🏽‍♀️

Additionally aemond insulting his sister/mother in law and well as his new husband(?) by saying "you want him to go through the shame of bearing bastards like you?" & to luke " I'm fixing you, I'm giving u pure blooded children" luke will finally have the vengance of his nose
