I have researched a series of Visionaire publications that explore three of the five senses (Touch, Sight and Smell) in an interactive format. I have learnt that publications can follow a particular theme or concept and be presented in a particular way that compliments it all while showing a clear link. in the polyphony i heard “POUSSAMIRA” under the whisper in “Satan”’s ear just a while ago (hbd!)! but  the P— is recycled from the loop used @ “i wanna fell on ur -SS IN [NE-] ------ (P—).”  i honestly spent Lent just listening to a few christian songs, heh. Bach, of course. i’m glad my ears are still on, though. today i was listening to a friend’s compositions, too, and could hear that first cello note was just like the first note of the cello suite (perhaps slightly flatter or richer). i didn’t hear “G” in my head, but of course that’s what that is. i could hear the pizzicato in one of his pieces was like the first pizz. on about to die by dp. my guess was F#/G or C#/D; it’s G and D. so i’m glad my ears are still on, and it’s always good to hear

But when I was a child I was really good at spelling because I had photographic memory, which I don’t have anymore (probably because one’s thought grows more abstract and less immediately material). It could be like that, but I'm still developing this kind of memory. I’m kind of surprised it’s still with me right now because I put down that heavy machinery of constantly seeking union with what is Good and Perfect in every single moment and every action sometime during Lent. It was telling me to do nothing, which probably meant change my method. I’m talking more now, but that machinery taught me so much in solitude.

But the AP celebration is so fun. I kept imagining someone holding a kitchen knife in a Blackwood purse wearing what I’m sure now is all-black Galliano Margiela menswear, and you could see them just gripping the handle. It reminds me of Brooklyn Nights at this moment. And I’ve been listening to Shaking the Habitual which has been one of my favourite albums (thinking lots about pinks like this), but I’m sort of afraid what they may have put in it now. Were they talking about ICE before everyone else (”open my country, tooth for an eye, eyes eyes eyes”)? But also I’ve heard the strangest things in songs, and I’m often wrong. ‘Tell me you’ sounds like when xie says ‘Januari-y (2012),’ w/ ”tell” primed out on “twelve” perhaps. And then you have to watch that J/T. It’s just weird the climax of the song is not in the video. 

Jot: I think it’s like what xie did on Itch where the “touched” slowly morphs into “church”. I just learned the ch and j are not used in Swedish, so that could lead to an artistic fixation. That fixation could just be hypercorrection, though, [April 18 edit:] and the natural association t has w ch in English. Or xie could just spitting into the mic: the f-sound comes before the spitting-sound at the climax, which could make sense. A little uncomfortable, because what things can sound like is also important when the media cannot possibly adapt or negotiate. I’ve heard a lot, so I’m never sure, especially as a Black person.

What Azealia does with Taraji P. Henson on Miss Camaraderie reminds me of what Joyce does with HCE. 

I had thought the Satan whisper in the right ear was only visually in the music video, but not on the music video track [April 18 edit; video quality is sometimes lower i find might have made this mistake w the stfu mv]. I heard Ass in New Wilins and Jollo(f), lol. What gags me is that they’re using a dancehall beat, like something someone would do a PonyTailz on in the 2000s. I didn’t know Tanisha the choreographer was Torontonian.

Christian music can be very simple and pure in its basic sentiment, and I think that all was good for my mood. But also disconnecting from being in conversation with the lowest type of personality which exists in the virtual space was important, but I had read some feeds really often just to be in contact always!

The voice crack when Perfume Genius sings, “no family’s s-afe when I sashay” is so important. It’s something his voice does. I’m so certain the white stele with the cup of black liquid in Q.U.E.E.N. by Janelle Monáe inspired Billie, if not someone in her camp, but Billie’s tastes are so eclectic. The cycle of videos for that album has specific points and references that I connect to psychically!
