jason todd is the one who unintentionally is cold to you (another idea is he's your killer in your first life) and probably causes your death... unintentionally... maybe. he's the slow burn type of romance where you fix past misunderstandings that have been building up for the past years you've known each other/been together. after a lot of years you've spent together, he's the greenest green flag you've ever met.

tim drake as schdermel raft (my dear aster)

tim drake is the male lead who takes a while to own the reader's hearts lowkey. timmy is a duke that rose to power in the female lead's previous life and is the one that could help her/protect her from her family/problems. timmy is such a sweetheart and i think it'll take a while before romance starts to come in the story (and has reader's asking novel readers who's the male lead).

cassandra cain as dorothea millanair (the tyrant wants to be good)

cassandra cain is the ultimate "i didn't want to be this, my surroundings made me be this." cassandra had a hard childhood because of her father and her "home" similar to many manhwa female leads. cassandra is the type to regret her past life and change for the better. she's not a brainless female lead, she knows a lot of things and will want to change (similar to dorothea).

stephanie brown as athanasia de alger obelia (wmmap)

stephanie is a female lead who is kinda stupid ("why did the plot change" type things) but overall is a strong female lead. she's one to go down in history (like athy). she's one who doesn't need a male lead to back her up and overall chases the plot to chang people's lives. steph is a happy girl and deserves a happy ending.

damian wayne as maximilian kasin ashet (father i dont want to get married)

damian is the one who (unintentionally/intentionally) killed you in your past life. damain grew up as a stuck up brat kid, though he is less of a brat, he's a trained killer for gods sake. damian is one who isn't familiar with love and being gentle. he probably grew up on the battlefield and is labelled "mad dog" or "cold blooded killer" or something along those lines. once you show damian you're not like the other girls afraid of him, he starts to fall... hard.

bonus: alfred pennyworth

the reliable butler of the family who's been serving the family for ages. he's the first one who trusts you and gets to know you on a personal level. he's always there to talk to the waynes and convince them you're a good person.

・❥・a/n: sorry for being missing :/ I got excited and inspired for drawing, writing some other projects (another chapter of wireless is coming soon!) and stuff from colleges, but no worries, here is the post for today!

・❥・way before ruby goes to the north to marry izek, you were at her side since the very beginning as her personal servant and beloved friend to anytime. the two of you were inseparable despite the differences of social classes, she being a noble girl set to marry the heir of the omerta dukedom while you were nothing but a simple servant ready to help her at anytime. a rare, but lovely duo.

・❥・that’s why you were so important to ruby! always helping her whatever she needed no matter how hard the task was and often. the way her blue eyes shiny when you are in the same room as her is more than enough to notice how the girl deeply cares about you since you are one of the few people that treat her right. despite yourself being treated in horrible circumstances too, the little bruises on your skins or when you force yourself to stop shaking when cesare is in the same room is noticeable to her eyes. specially when his eyes are settled on you, like he is watching a prey and he is ready to attack at anytime.

・❥・so when the news of ruby getting married to the heir of the omerta dukedom reaches your ears, you couldn’t be happier for the lady to get a better living life away from this place, away from the people who torment her daily and you got even happier when she told you that you are coming alongside her. the tears you dropped on her fancy and expensive dresses as the two of you prepared enough luggage to the long travel away from this living nightmare. away from the pope and cesare, even with the last one trying to make you stay in the manor to make him ‘company’, but luckily the pope told his son that ruby couldn’t afford to lose a loyal servant like you, so you quickly left with ruby towards the north.

・❥・the travel itself was a little rough, but nothing like the two of you couldn’t handle and so the day the two of you arrive at the north, things aren’t the best. the servants from the omerta dukedom were horrible to ruby and people often spoken ill things about your lady! oh, you were so ready to thrown fists and kicks everywhere to defend your sweetie lady when needed, however ruby told you to stay out and ignore them, after all, she only needs you, right? regardless of her now husband being cold and everyone treating her like nothing, you still here as her closest friend.

・❥・with days going by, it was hard to the local servants, knights and some others residents to not notice how the loyal maid of the lady rudbeckia followed her anywhere and how hardworking are you no matter the task you were given. clean the dirty windows? they are soon spotless. cooking to the knights? a delicious meal is ready to be eaten. serving izek after he is done with training? yes. ignoring the fact that you hold some feeling towards that man, you can’t deny that he is trying his best to become closer to ruby, even asking you for help. it was funny to seeing him nervous when questioning about the lady’s favorite food and sweeties.

・❥・so things get a little better, if you ignore the fact that you got in a few arguments with the headmaid and some others servants that tried to downgrade lady ruby and soon, people start noticing you even more. others maids that aren’t on your bad side, asking for advices in certain tasks. some knights becoming brave enough to hand you flowers and some little gifts that you thanked them and of course, you got to know elenia van omerta a little better. there is no lying in this part, you didn’t like her at first (the headmaid didn’t help with that too), but you give a shot and become somehow closer to her despite your heart telling not to do it.

・❥・ with more time passed, ruby’s life got better at the north. people aren’t that bad anyone with her, since you either threaten them or just because they rapidly become nicer to her :) and things between her and Izek got better. the two of them even act like a couple in front of the people and got to know each other. isn’t that sweet? now they are closer and some maids were replaced, you get more free time to get know around the dukedom, something you didn’t have the opportunity to do it earlier. and unfortunately, you got to know even more unpleasant people.

・❥・firstly, there was freyan. a sweet girl at first glance, but after a few interactions with her made you rethink about her entire personality. why is so evil towards ruby? ruby didn’t make anything for her to be so evil. and her brother, lorenzo? well, he is not that bad like you expected… before you could scold him for an accident at the training grounds, he quickly apologized to you and those involved, even getting you a bouquet as an apology gift with his cheek fully red. the knights couldn’t help, but make some fun of the boy for having a little crush on you and he went back to training to avoid even more embarrassment from his colleagues. a little weird, but at least you are happy that he isn’t as half bad like his older sister.

・❥・another person who you got closer in recent times is ivan. someone who at first, you wanted to be distant as possible, but turns out he is someone cool to be around. his carefree personality was the the main reason of how easily the two of got closer to become friends, also the many gifts he gets to you are also a little bonus of this friendship. you are to naive to notice his feelings about you, maybe it’s the fact that you are too busy working for ruby all the time.

・❥・and speaking of her, ruby is someone who cares about you and always will. in the original timeline, where the original rudbeckia was the one who caused the entire destruction of the omerta empire and between the main reasons she did it, you were the main one. a maid who never left her side til the very end by the hands of cesare, the very same one who never told where he put your dead body to rest. that was her final straw to bring the world to a living nightmare and she did with fully happiness when Izek confronted her in that very same day where she took her final breath.

・❥・now, with a new person living in rudbeckia body and trying to change such fate, she can’t be happier to know that you still around here. the way you spend most of your time next to her is the reason she smiles and there is nothing in this world she would change for that.

Izek's words could only make you shudder now that you are at his mercy and his alone. No one can save you from him. They tried, but they couldn't. How could they anyway? Izek is greatly known for terrifying even the elder nobles.

You shudder as his fingers move to a caress against your bare skin, leaving goosebumps in their wake. His crimson eyes remain on yours, the corner of his lips tugging into a smirk

"Come now, darling. Can't you humor me with a conversation for once?" His fingers move to your chin as he tightly grasps it. "Speak."

Your continuous silence makes him frown. But then he realizes the reason and chuckles. "Silly me, of course you can't speak. You're gagged." He grins as he lifts the cloth that was in your mouth.

Finally, you could breathe even if it's only for a second. "Don't you have something you want to tell me?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

You'd look up and mumble. "Thank you.." He smiles triumphantly at the sound of your voice thanking him. Well done.

"Good girl." He lets go of your chin as his form moves away from yours and to your side. His arm slithers around your waist as he holds you close protectively, or rather possessively.

Your eyes frantically look to the floor, crimson painted those walls. You remember the reason vividly. Earlier today Izek had not been pleased by a maid's attempt to give her some kind of later, he was furious and flew into a rage so much so that he killed the poor girl.

And you were there, chained and helpless. Your eyes shut and you could still see the body that lay in that exact spot, the maid's lifeless eyes and her bleeding body.

The memory makes you disgusted with yourself. You couldn't do anything and that made you inferior. She was reliant on you to make her feel safe, and now she's dead.

Your husband leans over and buried his face in your neck as he caresses your waist. "What's on your mind, sweet thing?" He asks softly, acting as though his behavior earlier never happened.

"Nothing.." You're obligated to respond, otherwise he'll find it suspicious.

"Hm." He only says as he continues to do what he'd previously been doing and that was clinging to you like there was no tomorrow.

In the morning, you writhe out of his grasp and go to the bathroom, this wakes him quickly and he frowns. "Sweet thing?" He was anxious now, thinking you'd escape. You wouldn't do that, would you?

He is relieved when he finds you coming out of the bathroom. "C'mere." He wraps hie arms around you. "Do not do that again, you understand? Wake me up and ask permission before doing so."

You know better than to argue so you only nod. He knows what's best for you. You must be reminded of that. This is normal. Your eyes shut and you fall into a deep slumber in the arms of your psychopathic husband.

As she was a close friend of Ellenia Van Omerta, you tagging along with her, made you two acquainted. The same goes for the future Duke, Izek Van Omerta, the one your sister had to seduce.

Your mother was always very insistent on sending you along with your sister to their household. Yours not so keen eyes never saw the way she tended to tremble, when you didn't want to go there, throwing a fit.

Perhaps sensing something wrong?

These two kids immediately took an interest in you, being very friendly and kind.

You felt overwhelmed with their affections and attention, as they were anything but that to everyone else. You tried to avoid them to the best of your abilities.

What you never knew was the fact that when you were avoiding them, they were lashing out of your older sister. What did you told her?! What made her avoid us? Answer us Freya!

Basically your every discomfort is Freya's fault in their eyes, that quickly became her biggest fear. She spends the most time with you, it doesn't matter that she is your sister, she's taking you away from them.

And they can't have that.

They both are aware of the cruel nature of the world, yet you are so pure and untainted by it. They want to- no.

Especially fond of this mindset is Izek. He is your knight after all, sworn to protect you till his dying breath.

Ellen tries her best to distract you from the rude nobles kids, having grand tea parties with her in the garden and with Freya.

The feeling of unsettling around them never disappeared.

Even when you all got older and yet, you decided that it was only a part of your imagination. Children really does have a huge imagination, don't they?

Your whole life they were nothing but kind to you, they would never hurt you.

All the moments when you were throwing fits about coming to them leaving you extremely embarrassed, they loved it, wanting to make up for them, for all this time spent together.

It is good to be unaware, right? It's in your best interest to make it last that way. They will protect you from the world, whatever it takes.

You had encountered the husband and wife during a ball and you have to say, you fell in love at the first glance. Though the fantasy of being a close friend or more with them seemed impossible you couldn't help but dream and hope.

Little did you know what the future holds for you was unlike anything you could've possibly imagined.

The duchess, whom you found out to be called Ruby, had come to you one day with the intention of befriending you. The talk between you two was something you cherished because well... You do like her.

The frequency of your talks started getting more and more when Ruby started inviting you to join her in the many events her friends hold for her. Though you soon realize that these so-called friends were a bunch of fake, toxic men and women that just wanted to humiliate the duchess. Specifically, Lady Freya who you learned to despise.

But what you didn't expect was Rudbeckia begging Izek to let you in to their relationship as well.

Izek wasn't so happy at that. Because Ruby's was his. But he could not say no to his wife.

At first you and Izek could not get along like how you and Ruby do. But before long he starts getting attached to you like how Ruby does.

Now came to the point that they refused to let you go anywhere or do anything without them with you like supervisors so to speak.

Tired of their nonsense, you run away in the middle of the night. Trying to ignore the frantic beating of your heart that beats so loudly in your ears as you prop yourself to slide from the window.

There's an overhang but you bounce smoothly onto the soft patch of grass. You rush along through the trees, listening closely for the many guards that roamed these gardens.

You just about made it to the gates when a shout is heard behind you. The sound of Ruby's voice calling for Izek and his men.

It doesn't take long before running feet and rustling of leaves take to the night air.

You rush out, running as fast as you possibly could. But you knew it was a risky choice.

A hand grabbed your wrist firmly as the person pulled you to him. Your heart is pounding in your ears as you see the crimson gaze of the duke.

He takes you onto the horse with him, turning the animal around as you two head back to the castle where Ruby stands, worried for you. As soon as she sees you, a certain beam of light comes on her face as she tugs you off the horse.

Izek gets off too and you three head for the bedroom. You knew what would happen next.

"My darling, why did you try and run away from us?" Ruby hugs you, her cheek against your own as she pulls you close.

"It is for your own good, Name." Izek speaks suddenly as he steps closer. His hand moving to unbutton his shirt.

"Perhaps we can give you a reason to stay, don't we Ruby?" "Yes, of course!" A happy banter between the two is displayed and you could feel your stomach churning with nervousness of what they could possibly have planned.

"Prepare yourself, beloved." Izek whispers as he moves behind you, causing you to shudder at the feeling of his hot breath. "Because by the time we are done with you, you won't be able to walk for weeks on end."

Ruby's only solace, a person whose soul possessed the body of Freya Van Furiana, the novel female lead, just as she possessed the body of Rudbeckia De Borgia, the novel villainess.

You both found out about it rather accidentally. By accident I mean you heard Ruby singing a Taylor Swift song 'Wildest Dreams'. After that, you had to take your shot and risk it all, but in the end it was all worth it, as you made your gorgeous bestest friend.

From that day forth one could wonder, how did you both got so close? After all, to those who didn't know the whole story, it all seemed as if you two just magically decided to be the closest of the close, like you know each other all your life, which kinda displeased Ellen. Which was partially true, after all you won't find a better person to talk to than the one who's in the same situation as you.

Ruby had a really hard time adapting to the ways of the north, so different from her 'home' ways. Yet there you were, guiding her through every step of the way.

Also don't forget making seducing Izek easier, by setting them the right scenery and without the original Freyas stunts.

Yet even when this feared Duke of the North, Izek Van Omerta finally fell in love with Ruby, which brought you both a peace of mind, the Duchess always felt bad when he showed her love and affection, as she had fallen for you.

When she found out, that your new family was abusive, she boiled with anger- No, shefumed with fury. That was the first time, when you felt completely terrified by your innocent friend.

Not to mention that the first words she said after your revelation was an order to get rid of your family's heads, with the exception of your dear brother Lorenzo.

After a few heads rolling and your distance to her, she tried to guilt trip you. She did so much for you, why are you so.. ungreateful! She murdered people for you, the ones who wronged you, and yet you're still avoiding her!

All she ever did was to make your life easier, like you did to hers! She just returned the favor and yet you're making it seem like she did something bad.

Ruby's lovesick lover instantly saw that change in his wife, her desperation. He waited, waited for her to open up to him, yet when she never did he decided to finally confront her in their shared bedroom, much to her's dissatisfaction, as she'd rather share a bed with you.

And that's when she bursts out in tears, screaming her frustrations out into Izek's arm, crying about how you're avoiding her, giving her cold stares, which you don't, and keeping a huge distance, while pretending you don't know her.

Next thing you know, you're forbidden from leaving your room and contacting anyone other than Ruby. She was the only one to communicate with, eat your meal with and the one to spend time with.

And you couldn't do anything about it, after all you lived in the Van Omerta's Household, where Ruby was the Duchess, and her husband, Izek Van Omerta the Duke.

You really should've expected that, after all there is not a single thing this man won't do for his wife. The consequences of your actions are gonna follow you for a long time, in your room with the reason for your 'arrest' always smiling happily by your side.

AAAAA RUBY'S SO GORGEOUS AND FOR WHAT?? There is so little works for this fandom, which saddens me greatly. Please behold the beautiful Rudbeckia De Borgia from the manhwa 'How to win my husband over' (100% recommend).
