The LMK backstory for Sun Wukong and the Brotherhood hits me in a bunch of narrative spots. Its like "Hamilton Part 1" + "Disney's Hercules" but... it ends terribly for everyone involved.
Sun Wukong, the Hamilton and Hercules in essence, ends up alone. His former friends, sworn siblings, and his dearest off worse. Even growing emotionally throughout Journey to the West causes him to sacrifice what he had left from his old life in order to move forward. But he never truly does.
No wonder Monkey King "retired" after the DBK mountain incident. It was one too many losses to justify enlightenment.
Then cue MK barreling through Wukong's life like a loose golden retriever puppy. And bringing his own unique problems.

So my mom just told me to do a scottish accent and my 20+ hours of listening to David Tennant speak finally paid off. She is now convinced I'm secretly Scottish.

SCP: Find Us Alive is just whip lashing my emotions all over the place. Also, Lancaster encouraging rebellion over Dr Gloria "we all got to act like robots and no recreation" Alvas is a vibe. Seriously though, it's funny and heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time
