for context, keita/raze (he/him) is my irl partner. he's been a simp for alucard (castlevania) longer than i've begun simping for strahd. i only discovered this years into the relationship when we watched castlevania (where i expected to be a bigger simp for castlevania), and instead HE made high pitch simping noises as alucard appeared on the screen and i was like -sus eyes- wait a GOSH DARN MINUTE-. also, keita has a thing for necks. i shrugged it off when he first told me, but years later i started simping for strahd and now i look back at that moment like 'hm. odd.-'. anyways, i mostly started dating him because he sounds like a kermit the frog southern guy who goes 'howdy howdy' and he says 'i should be golden' unironically and i think thats pretty funny

im sorry to be harsh but if you make f/o imagines about any serious irl events or tragedies i don't want you to interact with me. i understand people have good intentions but it's horrifying to see someone take devastating things happening to real people right now in real life, and put them into fiction in some cute support way. its not fictional, and should not be treated as such.
if you need a way to cope with what is happening, then this is not how you do it. This is not the right way to cope, nor is it a good way to show your support. there's places to donate to or support to give to people in other ways besides a fictional prompt. It's hard times and I get it - our f/os bring us comfort. But now is not the time for comfort through fictional prompts inspired by the irl situation. Now is the time to focus on the irl people who are affected, or at least to find and create prompts that aren't based on current events.
tl;dr please stop making selfship imagines based on serious, tragic, and or dangerous irl situations, whatever those situations may be. the events aren't fictional, and there is better ways to deal with your feelings and to support others.

i know there's a lot of weight ppl feel to make their self inserts very like gender conforming but in the end I feel, as someone who makes so many s/is who look feminine or use different pronouns despite being trans men or at least masc leaning, that you should just have fun with your designs no matter what. like. I don't like dresses irl, they make me extremely dysphoric and upset...But I love putting them on my s/is, masculine or feminine appearing or even androgynous etc. so i do that. similarly, i only like he/him in real life, but whos gonna stop me from making she/her trans men? nobody. people could try, but fuck those people because its all pretend and is a good way to explore identity. I also have SO much more fun making "feminine" characters than I do masc, and I feel my s/have more life when I don't force a masculine look. but im still a trans man, my s/i is still a trans man, etc. selfship is about being free to explore yourself and also your funky little characters you feel so strongly for, who would accept you no matter what. be free
tl;dr pronouns and clothing and stuff are fake design your s/is how you want and what feels fun and comfortable for you whether or not it appliesto your irl self

I missed the timeframe for submitting an ask to the wip blog as I was busy with work. Some tumblr blogs have search disabled, and tumblr search misses random posts sometimes.
Also, the video attached does not address my complaint of not being able to click on the blog I reblogged from's post. I am not talking about the originator blog, but a blog I reblogged from. Sometimes, the original post has also been deleted, so that is unhelpful.
For example:
- blog1 posts a picture, which blog2 reblogs. This goes on for a while, until blog50. say blog50 talks about blog20's tags. If i want to see the post on blog20, i would need to go through all the notes to find blog20
- As mentioned, this is also unhelpful if I have queued/drafted a reblog to the wrong blog, especially if the original post has been deleted.

That is NOT what I am talking about. I am NOT talking about the current reblogger or the original poster. I am talking about a blog who the current reblogger reblogged from, who is NOT the original poster.
This is not even a matter of implementing a suggestion, but Tumblr taking away a feature that already existed.
The previous suggestion of using tumblr search to locate the post does NOT help, because, as previously stated:
1) some tumblr blogs have the search function disabled
2) tumblr search misses random posts sometimes
Let me try to portray clearer examples
SCENARIO 1, EXAMPLE EVENTS:
1) originalposter makes a post
2) blog2 🔁 originalposter == blog2 reblogs from originalposter
3) blog3 🔁 blog2 == blog3 reblogs from blog2
4) blog4 🔁 blog3 == blog4 reblogs from blog3
5) This goes on until the post has been reblogged 10,000 times
6) I see blog50 reblog the post
7) blog50 references a profound comment that blog48 left in their tags
8) i want to see what blog48 wrote in their tags
9) i cannot find what blog48 s tags are in the "comments and tags", because there are 10,000 reblogs. I do not want to comb through 10,000 reblogs.
Previously, I would've been able to:
- click from "blog50 🔁 blog49" to go to blog49, then "blog49 🔁 blog48", and locate the post on blog48's blog. Now, I cannot do that.
- right-click blog50's username to open blog50 on a new tab, to view the post on their blog's desktop theme (NOT the tumblr dashboard theme), which might have a "reblogged from" link. But the new update also ruins that function.
If I see blog50 has reblogged a post, I want to be able to click blog49 from the "blog50 🔁 blog49" header, and be taken to blog49
To re-iterate:
- I am NOT talking about going to the post on blog50 or originalposter
- I am talking about going to the post on blog49

SCENARIO 2, EXAMPLE EVENTS:
1) originalposter makes a post
2) blog2 🔁 originalposter == blog2 reblogs from originalposter
3) blog3 🔁 blog2 == blog3 reblogs from blog2
4) this goes on until the post has been reblogged 10,000 times
5) originalposter deletes their blog
6) Several people reblog the post and add comments to their reblogs, but later on, some of those commenters delete their blogs
7) I am scrolling through blog100's blog, and see blog100 had reblogged a version of the post with comments i like
8) I decide to save the post in my drafts, but accidentally select it to be saved onto the wrong blog
9) I do not want to reblog that post onto the wrong blog, but am unable to locate the post again on blog100
10) The most recent reblogs in the notes of the post do not have the comments I like
11) I cannot reblog from the people who made the comments, because they have deleted their blogs.
Previously, I would've been able to click blog100 from "myblog 🔁 blog100", to go to the post on blog100, and reblog it from there, with the comments I like.
To re-iterate:
- I am NOT talking about going to the post on the originalposter's blog, or the commenter's blog
- I am talking about going to the post on blog100
TO SUMMARIZE,
these are the functions i would like to see RE-IMPLEMENTED:
- click on a username to be taken to the post on their blog (including the previous reblogger's username)
- right-click the username to open the post in desktop theme

Like, listen. Listen, okay. The moment I learned they were making Galadriel's character revolve around needless revenge over a man (her brother who is currently happily traipsing across Valinor because that's how death works for elves) I was already mad enough to never touch RoP with a ten foot pole
But this? Taking one of her most iconic lines and attributing it to Sauron? I am livid.
The real Galadriel, the book Galadriel, was always an ambitious woman. She left Valinor to rule a realm of her own, to shape a land the way she thought right. She watched her male relatives do shit and was like "I can do better" and that's what she did
She was driven, intelligent and gifted, she was one of the greatest things that ever happened to the elves, and it all came from herself.
But now they changed her story. This Galadriel isn't traveling Middle-earth to find a place for herself, she's traveling it to avenge a man who doesn't need avenging. And then Sauron pops up and tells her she could be a queen "stronger than the foundations of the earth"? The line she originally said about herself?
The way this is all set up makes it look like a man planted the idea in her that she could be a queen, a man tempted her into becoming a queen, and then continued to tempt her until she refused the ring.
Her whole thing in the books was overcoming the temptation of power and choosing what was right and good. But it wasn't the ring that she needed to beat, she needed to overcome the desires and ambitions inside herself that the ring was using against her
She was her own greatest enemy and she won.
But now they made it all revolve around a man. A man gave her the idea, a man tried to tempt her, a man is who she quotes when she's overcoming temptation...
Do I really need to spell out why the story of a woman whose biggest enemy is herself being changed to so heavily focus on a man's effect is bad? Do I really??

The little "brgh" sound the cat makes sometimes when you jump, the way it just instantly drops when B-12 puts the little backpack on it and then continues to crawl across the ground like a dramatic little shit, the button prompt to push stuff off shelves for absolutely no reason except chaos, the quick little tap tap tap of the paw when it inspects something, how it just SLAPS the first two robots it meets (the dying one at the beginning and B-12 after booting it up), the way it licks its lips after hissing...
These people really paid a shit ton of attention to how cats work and it's given us an extremely realistic little guy that I will love with my whole heart until the day I die

Can we talk about how ableist people are abt handwriting if you're an adult with handwriting issues (no matter if it stems from something disability related or lack of access to education) and how specifically as an adult people treat you?
Ive gotten so much hate, mean jokes, and snide comments about my handwriting from everyone from teachers to bosses and coworkers to receptionists, and no matter how i explain that its a result of disability and almost always something i can't change, im still treated like a dumb kid, denied accommodations like being able to type instead of hand write, or once, even threatened that they would not allow me to vote because my signature didn't match close enough for that clerks taste.
Just because you cant write perfectly (or even legibly!) Doesn't mean you are not capable, smart, and have worthy things to say!
