I'm thinking of doing a Silentknight story with Jaune knowing how to do sign language. Neo, being curious, wants to know why Jaune learned it.
Jaune is just vague in his answer but said he learned it for one of his sisters.
Not content with the answer Neo goes around the Arc family and asks the same question to everyone.
Why did Jaune learn sign language?
But again, all she got was the same answer just told differently.
It was for his younger siblings, Viola.
Well, Neo decided to go ahead and ask this little sibling, Viola (is that even a canon name), herself.
In her answer was a sad tale.
Viola was not always deaf, and she lost her hearing in a rather unfortunate accident.
An accident caused by her big brother, Jaune Arc.

oh shit yesterday was trans day of visibility and i was too busy vibing. anyway -- rufus is trans, it's not really a secret but it's also not. probably wide knowledge. it's in the category of "yeah you either have connected the dots and know" or "look that's on you for not knowing". it's not blatantly obvious, it's just... you either were there when he came out, or you weren't. you were paying attention to reginald having a daughter to not having a daughter, or you were not.
he keeps most of his feelings to himself, but it's not really any secret that he's not comfortable in his own skin. very fidgety and constantly adjusting his clothing so they fit right. constantly adjusting his binder UNDER those clothes. he gets stressed enough about people he actually gives a shit about perceiving him
brain stopped working, enjoy the briefest of thoughts.

I'm glad a concept like Ninja Turtles has endured for decades, and it's getting new stuff and all that, but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to Gatekeep a lil.
Miss me, just go ahead and totally miss me, with this "teenage, learning-the-ropes Casey Jones" shit. Bc let me tell you something: I've seen that 1990 Ninja Turtles movie probably more times than I've seen my mother's face, and it taught me a thing or two about Found Family, responsibility to others, and most importantly, what peak Casey Jones looks like.
so for some FACTS:
