Nico telling Percy that he's not his type has less to do with his looks but more to do with his personality. This has bothered me for a while but especially now because Walker looks like Will Solace. It's a funny joke and everything but my problem is that people take it as the truth and not just a joke. On multiple posts I've seen people say that its more about Percy's personality and other people dismiss those comments.
There are multiple times in BoO that Nico alluded to his crush on Percy fading due to his personality:
When they're eating farturas in Portugal, Nico thought about what Percy would say about them. Nico then said, "The older Nico got, the more juvenile Percy seemed to him, though Percy was three years older. Nico found his sense of humor equal parts endearing and annoying. He decided to concentrate on the annoying." Nico realized how immature Percy is and doesn't appreciate his humor anymore. Nico reflected on how their personalities and senses of humor don't mesh as much because they have different levels of maturity. He's starting to grow up out of his crush on Percy.
During another scene in Portugal, Hades told Nico that one of the seven was going to die. Nico responded, "To his surprise, his thoughts didn't leap first to Percy. His primary concern was for Hazel, then for Jason, then for Percy..." Nico has other people in his life that he cares about. It seems wrong to assume that Nico didn't think of Percy first because he's not into his looks anymore. That assumption would make Nico seem shallow and Nico's known for being the opposite since he cares about people feeling included like with Hestia and Bob.
Nico got excited when Reyna said one of her ancestors was a pirate. He said, "Even before he got into Mythomagic, he'd been obsessed with pirates. Probably that was one reason he'd been so smitten with Percy, a son of the sea god." Nico liked the idea of Percy because he reminded him of his previous obsession of pirates. Nico liked the connection that Percy had with the sea. Since Nico was also obsessed with Mythomagic, Nico also liked the idea of Percy as a demigod. Percy being a son of Poseidon perfectly fit under two things Nico was fascinated with.
Right before Nico told Percy about his crush, he said, "Nico studied his face- his sea green eyes, his grin, his ruffled black hair. Somehow Percy Jackson seemed like a regular guy now, not a mythical figure. Not someone to idolize or crush on." While Nico does bring up Percy's looks, that's not the only reasoning for not crushing on him anymore. Percy's "mythical figure" status is more about how strong he is and the fact that he's one of the most powerful demigods that Nico knows. Nico looked up to Percy because he was the ideal demigod in Nico's eyes. If Nico idolized Percy only for his looks, it would go back to him being shallow.
Nico put Percy on a huge pedestal and was infatuated with him for years but that doesn't mean that Nico only liked him for his looks. Nico grew out of his crush after he stopped idolizing Percy as a person.

I can't help but wonder about your One Piece OC! I know you've mentioned that he's a mature person in the crew, but do you see him as more of a sibling/parental role to Luffy, or is he part of the shenanigans with usopp/chopper/luffy, or is he like tired uncle like Jinbei (or secretly amused like zoro) ? I am eager to hear about where he meshes in with crew especially luffy
I also can't help but wonder if our first mate gets jealous of him often. You mentioned that you do, but I think about like what if some days luffy just misses Ace, and luff will stare at Jean a lot more sometimes or just hover around him just to relive being with his brother *cries*
✨Kira kira yoho!✨
Hello!
Ahhh!! Im so happy and excited every time I get question about my OCs (❤´艸`❤) Thank you for taking interest and being curious about Jean!
To answer. He is more of big brother type. Not just to Luffy but to everyone. Even the older mature straw hats. Jean just have so much love to give, growing up not knowing much about the world, isolated and thinking himself to be a slave until death. It really is Luffy and the strawhats who saved him and his fellow slaves so, he's enthusiastic in showing them how much he cares for them. how thankful he is to them for saving him, and along with that, his life. So he spoils everyone like this cool doting brother.
I'm actually planning to make one paged comic series ( kind of like 4 koma? ) in his interactions with the strawhats. As well as discovering more of the world. little sneak peek with Sanji ( ignore the cross. i changed that to a locket )
Tumblr media
Here, Jean becomes the big brother Sanji dreamed and should have had. At first it annoys Sanji to no end even saying stuff like " gross, dont touch me. its weird! " but Jean is so gentle towards the crew, even helping Sanji wash the dishes, even cleaning the kitchen at night to surprise Sanji that eventually, Sanji accepts Jean. And finally allows himself to be spoiled. Even bringing out that side of Sanji that longs for a caring brother. One he only dreamed back then.
Jean has that ability to let everyone's hidden side of wanting to be spoiled and Jean is all to happy to do so. He is just so happy to be there with everyone. That he never really asks for anything in return.
--------------
As for Zoro being made Jealous by Jean. Yes he does that. but there is a moment only the three of them knows. Its when Luffy gets nightmares about Ace every now and then. most of the time he can deal with it, but there are times he's so shaken. When Jean wasn't around yet, it's Zoro trying to calm him down. But when jean arrived, the three of them found out that, despite being freaked out by jean and Ace looking alike, Jean helps Luffy calm down due to his voice being exactly like Ace's. Along with it, Jean's hugs is just one of the best. Even beating hugs from Jinbei. There's a strange therapeutic effect.
Here is a comic I doodled quickly just now to show that.
Tumblr media
I still wanted to emphasize the eerie feeling from Jean and Ace's similarities are so the comic ended up a bit off. (laughs) please forgive me!
Every time this happens, Luffy does apologize to Jean for asking him to 'talk' like Ace. He knows it's wrong, but honestly, Jean would do anything to calm Luffy. and He knows Luffy doesn't mean it and that he's just suffering, So Jean is very patient with him and never really feels offended at all.
And that is all the answers I have!
Thank you for being interested in Jean!! 💖💖
✨Have a sparkling day!✨

I genuinely love your works, especially with the TFP kids. And I was wondering your opinion on Transformers: Rescue Bots? It’s more kid-friendly, but very well written.
AH good old rescue bots. Personally I wouldn't watch it for fun or anything unless it was for writing purposes. When I skimmed the show, I loved the characters, but I found myself bored by the episodic plots more often than not. It's a very well done show though! The characters are given proper attention, the lore is a bit wacky, but it seems to mesh well enough with its parent continuity.
Personally I didn't like the humans all that much, but that's my assessment of pretty much all human characters. The TFP kids are an exception simply because they came as a package deal with the bots in a very tense war situation. No I cannot explain why the wartime vs peacetime difference makes me appreciate a human character more. No I do not like the bayverse humans despite them hitting those marks.
Annnyway, I appreciated the spotlight on lesser known or new bots in the show. Rescue Bots does an excellent job subtly fleshing out the TF universe, especially TFP which was clearly a bunch of bogus thrown together in a semi-coherent manner to be consumed by fans. Although admittedly 99% of my TF knowledge comes from fans telling me about stuff or via reading the wiki/watching clips, so I cant exactly be called a critic. With that said, it was a good show on its own. Would 100% recommend. However I prefer something a bit more mature and with a more linear story that has an overarching threat.
TFP spoiled me.

Dresden files Fool's Moon live blog
Fool’s Moon
Ugh male gaze already
You’ve never mentioned Kim Delaney in your fic so I don’t have high hopes in her survival especially when she’s looking into summoning or binding circle
Sometime apprentice? Eh? How does one become a sometime apprentice
Harry drives a Beetle but he’s so tall and a beetle is so small ha
I’m absolutely blaming you for my love of Marcone and how unreasonably happy I got at the mere mention of his name in chapter two I might have a problem
“He was one of Johnny Marcone bodyguards” pg. 18 Geez Marcone’s men can’t catch a break. First Tommy Tomm, then “Gimpy” Lawrence, and now “Spike”
Ahh!! What was that agent Benn thinking? Pulling out her gun?!? I know Harry and Murph were going to live but still. I’m horrified by this lack of gun control
Murph and Harry are fighting:(
I like Harry being a detective
Who’s Justin? Why did Harry burn him to death? I’m reserving my decision if Justin is good or bad because while Harry is a good guy Bob doesn't have a moral compass.
Who’s Elaine? What happened to her?
Alphas really that’s the name they chose?
Susan you’re back!
Harry’s talking to himself again
“What could possibly go wrong?” pg. 102 Harry sweetie you didn’t just say that. I can’t believe what I just read. Harry, you should know better than to say that. Every time someone says that things will always go wrong you’re supposed to be genre savvy.
How is Harry still alive? He went to a hideout of possible murder happy werewolves with minimal tools and or weapons and no backup?
Marcone has arrived yay! It only took 10 chapters
“Ah Mr. Dresden” pg. 114 Why did I think of Verinari when Marcone said Ah Mr. Dresden? Maybe because Verinari says Ah Vimes
I love chapter 10 it’s all Marcone and Harry
Why does a demon know Harry’s mom?
“What was left of Kim Delaney lay naked and sublime on the bloodstained floor a few feet from the circle” pg. 143 I didn’t want to be right :(
“Middle-aged, starkly handsome man” pg. 145 Bi Harry counter 3
Why does a demon know Harry’s mother?
“Good-looking detective” pg. 231 Bi Harry 4 counter
Wait did Harry call Rudolph the person who kills Murph good-looking??? What did I just read?? WHAT?!?
It’s cool that Harry fights a werewolf
I’ve now met ID Harry weird that whole bit was weird
The FBI was in on it?!?
Marcone to the rescue!
“A man in his mature prime, his hair immaculately graying at the temples, his custom-made suit displaying a body kept fit in spite of the advancing years” pg. 293 Bi Harry 5
Really Marcone, you're really trying to get Harry to sign a contract now?
“Marcone looked good in his gray suit and perfect hair and his manicured hands, but he wasn’t” pg. 295 Bi Harry 6
I find it amusing that Marcone and Parker are fighting over Harry for different reasons but fighting over him nonetheless :)
“He won’t accept my offer. He’d rather die.” pg. 297 Marcone knows Harry
“Marcone’s mouth dropped open, and it was an intense pleasure to see the surprise on his face” pg. 297 I love that Harry can get a reaction out of Marcone
Loving chapter 23 with all its Marconeness
How old are the characters? Harry calls the alphas kids, Billy calls Harry Mr. Dresden, and Harry talks about Marcone’s gray hair. I’m picturing Harry and Marcone as a mesh of @drawsdenfiles and @kaphkas fanart.
We got a title drop
Awww Susan got Harry his duster
Why is Marcone’s house so big? Why does he need a big house?
“If he truly offered you a challenge, he’s here,” Marcone said, his tone completely confident, “I’m certain of it.” pg. 365 Marcone really knows Harry huh
I like that Marcone’s never underestimated Harry
“Please remember that I want Dresden, alive if possible.” pg. 375 Wow Marcone really wants to hire Harry.
Nooo the FBI kidnapped Murph :(
What did Denton see in Harry’s soulgaze?
Marcone to the rescue again or not, honestly Marcone you should listen to Harry more often
“I guess it could be worse” pg. 394 Why would you say that Murph? Why???
“Mr. Dresden, Marcone said crossly. I’ve asked you not to call me that.” pg. 398 You should let Harry call you John, Marcone
I love Harry and Marcone’s banter
Marcone’s throwing knives bit was cool
Harry using the belt was interesting. Glad Susan calmed him down.
“Dresden! The pit!” pg. 417 Nice of Marcone to warn Harry
Harry using his necklace is cool!
No Murph trust Harry, why did you shoot him?
Yay Murph was shooting Denton
“Of course,” Marcone said, with a note of disappointment in his voice “I’d just hoped you hadn’t realized it. Nonetheless, Harry-“
“Don’t call me Harry,” I said, and hung up on him” pg. 428 I love this entire bit. How come Harry gets to call Marcone John but when Marcone calls Harry by his first name he gets upset? You should just call each other by your first names
I hope we see more of the Alphas
Oh Harry’s making connections with the ongoing mystery yay!
Final thoughts
Loved all the Marcone we got. I like that we’re getting more on the ongoing mystery. I hope we see more of the Alphas. I liked the fights and Harry’s detective work. More Bi Harry the counter is going up! We’re up to 6. As with the previous book, I'm not a big fan of the male gaze but I think that’s more to do with the length and descriptions used. Harry (or Jim) will go on for a solid paragraph describing women using words I don’t think anyone would use while with Bi Harry it’s not as long and I can see people using words like good looking or handsome. I mostly glazed over the male gaze bits. I don’t know if my predisposition to Bi Harry and a Harry/Marcone shipper is making those parts stand out or if it’s because I’m actively looking for them to add to the counter. Speaking of Marcone I don’t recall if it’s said why Marcone wants Harry to work for him. Yeah having a wizard on staff is cool he can do magic but surely Marcone knows that there’s more magic people and some are more likely to work for him than Harry. So why does he specifically want Harry to work for him? He tried to get him to work for him three times in this book and once in the previous book. There’s trying to hire someone and then there’s whatever this is. I enjoyed this book. Good book for Harry/Marcone moments. Looking forward to the next book!

BACKGROUND
Cola is a 17 year old demon who is currently on the run with his younger brother despite not necessarily doing anything illegal. He is a photographer who also enjoys watercolor painting. He used to be a cake decorator but eventually got bored of it and quit.
TIMELINE
[ To be added ]
APPEARANCE
[ picture ^ ]
PERSONALITY
Cola is a more “tame” version of Chez, being more calm and chill than his younger sibling.
Cola decides to be more passive aggressive than directly aggressive, unlike Chez. He tends to use threats though if things end up going too far to him.
He has a similar attitude to Chez, but he is way nicer and way more reliable. He isn’t all that hyperactive, but he has enough energy to keep up either Chez and his shenanigans.
Even though he doesn’t look the nicest, he tries to be. Or, he tries to be nicer than most people he meets.
Despite being a better version of Chez, he still has flaws. He tends to lie a lot and has trouble sympathizing with others, also taking things less serious than he should be sometimes.
Cola is responsible, but he can be a bit judgmental. He is also really indecisive about some things.
If he really doesn’t like someone, he will make sure they get a hint about how he feels about them, though he won’t directly tell them that he hates or strongly dislikes them.
Even though he’s more mature than Chez, that doesn’t mean he’s completely better. Cola also engages with the activities Chez partakes in, causing destruction and havoc with his sibling simply because it’s fun to him. Cola can be ruthless during these times.
He doesn’t always agree with how his sibling acts, so he sometimes forces Chez to do better things.
Also he’s smart, I promise.
RELATIONS
Chez ;
Younger sibling who can get on his nerves, but still deeply cares about.
Paint Grenade ;
A close friend who Cola enjoys talking to. They rarely see each other though due to Cola always having to move, they digitally keep in contact though.
Blade ;
A friend due to both of them having the same kind of problems, they can relate to each other to an extent and always have each others’ backs.
Traffic ;
Met while Traffic was on one of his “adventures.” Both of them got along well but they don’t talk much anymore. If Cola sees him again he does wanna catch up.
Galactic ;
Both talk every now and then, but Cola is still weary of him since he knew about the incident Galactic had in the past. Cola would probably consider him a friend if he didn’t know about the events that occurred back then to Galactic.
Hyperlaser ;
Their personalities somehow mesh well which makes them both somewhat get along. Cola likes to talk to Hyperlaser every now and then but keeps cautious of him.
TRIVIA
He is holding a chug jug lmao
Cola drinks orange juice with pulp in it
He also regularly drinks acid
Probably sucks at driving
Resting bitch-face
Trips other demons because its funny
Would probably win in a phight against the president
If you shake him, his horns will probably explode.
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
SIDE NOTES
his personality bothers me but i’ll leave it for now..
lmao his appearance does not match his personality actually-
Dialogue coming never
He looks very evil but he is really nice I promise.
Galactic made by Tozuko, Paint Grenade and Blade are made by me.
check the blog inethrix for updates about my characters if ur interested or something.

Merging the magic systems of Tales of Arcadia and the Owl House
Ever since I added the Owl House in alongside Tales of Arcadia as one of my blorbo shows, I’ve wanted to do a crossover between the two. The trouble is I’m coming up empty with plot ideas, zero, nada, zilch. I want to bring these characters together but I’ve got no idea of what would bring them together and what they’d do when they got together. I still want to write a crossover, but right now I’m waiting for the right inspiration/idea to strike.
Since I have no idea when the right inspiration will strike, let alone when I’ll have anything written. I’ve decided to share my ideas for how I’d reconcile the magical systems between the two shows.
In the Owl House it is repeatedly, explicitly stated that humans cannot use innate magic; and in TOA we have multiple humans using innate magic. So how to make these two incompatible systems mesh without completely throwing out one or the other?
First step is to flesh out the world(s) the stories take place in, using some interpretation and a lot of my personal headcanons. To begin the Demon Realm isn’t really another world so much as another plane of reality to the Terrestrial Realm (aka Earth). If all of reality is a house, the Terrestrial realm would be the first floor and the Demon Realm would be the basement. Another universe would be a whole separate house. The Demon Realm isn’t the afterlife, but humans falling into the Boiling Isles and bringing stories of it back did give rise to myths about the underworld.
Now the two magic systems in these show as they are are completely incompatible, so to make them compatible I’m doing some heavy tweaking to the magic system in the TOAverse. I chose the TOAverse to alter because the Owl House has a lot of in-universe explanations for how the magic system works, while TOA is incredibly vague about it.
What I came up with is this.
Witches can practice innate magic because they have a gland of magical bile on their heart that serves as the source of their magic power. They have these bile sacs because they evolved from the decomposing carcass of an incredibly powerful eldritch god and inherited some of the Titan’s innate magic. Humans did not evolve these bile sacs and therefore have no innate magic. But what if there was a way to bypass the evolutionary middle man and get magic directly?
Because while mature titans may be some of the most powerful deities in existence, they are far from the only ones, and the terrestrial realm has plenty, the Arcane order and many others.
So while humans have no innate magic, by making a deal with a deity they can get some of their powers to use as their own.
Quick aside, in this verse deities aren’t all knowing/all powerful/pure good/pure evil. While they’re immensely powerful magical beings, deities aren’t omnipotent, and have their own struggles and limitations, just like mortal beings. There are almost no deities that are pure good or pure evil, and they often make contracts with mortals for their own reasons or their own gain, ranging from noble to petty.
And a deity giving a human some of their power doesn't lessen the deity’s power. It’s like lighting a torch from a bonfire, the bonfire isn’t reduced by lighting a torch, and it gets to spread its influence without leaving its confines.
The conditions and stipulations that go into such a contract with a deity, and what powers the human gets out of it, varies from deity to deity. An honest person making a deal with an honest deity would get an equivalent exchange, but a foolish person making a deal with a trickster deity might soon find themselves in over their head and little more than a slave. Of course there are plenty of mortals who wouldn’t mind feeding a bloodthirsty god all they desire if they come out more powerful for it. In rare cases if the mortal is clever enough they can trick the deity and come out on top of the bargain.
Every deity is unique and they all have different risks associated with making contracts with them. But making deals with ancient, primordial deities is considered especially dangerous, because while these elder beings are no more pure good or evil than their younger counterparts, their minds are much more alien. And this lack of understanding of human morality can lead to blessings that look like curses, gifts that are more like punishments. One should exercise extreme caution when making a bargain with one of these elder beings.
Now what would this look like applied?
Let’s start with Merlin. I can easily see him being clever enough to trick a deity and a lot of Arthurian myth has him being the son of the devil. So based on this, I imagine in his youth he was able to trick a very powerful, sadistic trickster god, I’m not sure how the specifics of this trick go down, but it ends with Merlin getting all the power he desires and the deity being left with almost nothing. The deity is furious but is bound by their own word.
For Douxie I imagine that a few thousand years down the line Merlin’s trickster made a deal with Douxie as a young child, giving him power with the intention of grooming him into causing Merlin’s downfall. But Merlin outsmarts them again, taking Douxie as his apprentice and teaching him all that he knows. And Merlin’s not immortal, if one day after he dies Douxie steps into his shoes that is just fine with him. Again the trickster is super pissed, but can’t do anything about it.
Now Zoe. There’s pretty much nothing in canon about her powers but I’ve seen a lot of cool fanart of her with electricity powers, so I imagine she made a bargain with Thor, god of thunder, to get lightning based magic. Thor really didn’t ask for much in this bargain, as he likes giving mortals power just because he has fun seeing them running around kicking ass and taking names.
Claire actually did what few dared to do and made a bargain with one of the oldest beings in existence, Nyx, goddess of the night and primordial darkness. No one’s sure what exactly Claire promised in exchange for power over shadows and darkness, only that Claire herself goes gaunt whenever asked and refuses to say.
Rather than being a human that made a bargain for power, I see Morgana as being a demigoddess with innate magic of her own, the child of Uther Pendragon and a powerful fae and Arthur’s half sister. Being a demigoddess makes her incredibly powerful, and killing her…complicated.
So contracts are how “typical” human magic users get their power, but when Luz goes to the Boiling Isles she discovers the glyphs, the titans’ language, and a way to use the titans’ power without a contract or a bile gland. Speculating down the line, once King learns of his true heritage and the Collector enters the scene, this opens up the possibility of Luz making a contract with one of them, but this has its own set of risks. While King and the Collector are friends and allies, the two of them are children, and while they might never intend to harm Luz they could easily end up making a contract with devastating side effects without even trying to. They’re so young they simply don’t know or understand all the subtle intricacies that go into making a bargain with a human.
That’s all I’ve hashed out for now. Like I said, any crossover story will stay in limbo until I get a good idea for a plot. And if anyone wants to incorporate any of the ideas I wrote about here into your own stories feel free. Thanks for reading my rambles!

Sissi and Laura -- the Same kind of Weird Besties
And this is my final post for my Code Lyoko friendship pairs series! The idea of pairing Sissi and Laura wasn't there in my mind initially, but as I got around to writing Aelita's and William's, I thought, "Why not Sissi and Laura?"
I hope you enjoy!
PS - I wasn't able to find pictures of Laura and Sissi because they literally have no interactions in the show, and I didn't want to use others' images, so you can google up images to look at while you read this, I guess.
Meanwhile, here are my other links!
Code Lyoko Masterlist
Friendship Headcannons for:
- Odd and Yumi-
Aelita and William-
Jeremie and Ulrich
Also check out Headcannons - Code Lyoko since I may use content about Sissi and Laura from those batch of headcannons for this!
(Note -- if links are not accessible, navigate to my blog to find my main masterlist from where you can navigate through everything!)
~
Sissi and Laura are very different people on the surface -- or so we think.
Listen! Both Sissi and Laura wanted to be a part of the Lyoko gang.
Both of them had an affinity and a rivalry with two members of the group (Sissi has an affinity for Ulrich and thus rivals with Yumi, and with Laura, its Jeremie ad Aelita).
Though I think Laura is bi with a greater romantic attraction towards those who identify as female (these are just my thoughts).
So, in evolution, Sissi is portrayed as a blonde. I fully stand by this, though I think its more likely that she dyed her hair for fun, rather than permanently.
In between where the original series stopped and when evolution began, Sissi must've had a maturing phase, where, after hanging out with the group like a normal person, she grew out of her insecurities regarding Ulrich and grew into her own person.
I think part of that growth was the need for a makeover, so she dyed her hair blonde and gave herself a new look.
And doesn't really pester the others as much anymore.
I also think that after the Lyoko intrigue faded away, and after the first time they shut down the Supercomputer and after Sissi kinda sorta hung out with the gang, she realized they weren't as cool as she thought they'd be (something like how you think a certain state of life is greater than it actually is, but when you get to it, you're bored) and that's when she sorta grew into her own person.
Now, Laura is highly intelligent and she figured out a way to specifically exclude herself from the Return to the Past program. Remember, Jeremie had to literally cut-copy-paste whatever program Franz Hopper had written down in the supercomputer to execute it, and Laura figured out how to modify the damn program with just a few minutes (max two hours) of system time!
But Laura lacks in empathy and emotional intelligence sometimes (somewhat similar to Sissi), because she has always just wanted to be included in something.
Push comes to shove, and evolution happens, and Laura is kicked out of the group because Jeremie and Aelita figured out how to make Return to the Past work for Laura again.
You would think that's how Sissi and Laura become friends, but nope.
Sissi would have already seen Laura for who she was -- someone who used to be exactly like her -- while she was slightly integrated into the group.
I think she'd have a soft pity-laugh to herself, because she understands that the Lyoko warriors are always exclusive to each other, and trying to mesh into that is tiring. You always get pushed out anyway.
But obviously, the real Return to the Past happens, and even Sissi forgets she was feeling those feelings for her.
However, Laura's memories would be really really altered and she'd have some time figuring out whether she was hallucinating or having deja vu with the gang, you know? You can't tell me that a Return to the Past specifically catered to erasing Laura's memories can't have specific side-effects for her.
I think she might end up at the infirmary for something while Sissi also happens to be there.
Then Sissi opens up about how she'd always try to find out more about the gang, only for it to be totally stupid stuff. And once she actually got to know them, she figured out that they were an acquired taste.
Sissi: Headache?
Laura: Kinda, yeah. I've been having a lot of migraines lately.
Sissi: Weren't you with Jeremy and his friends?
Laura: Belpois? It's... actually weird. I haven't spoken to them too much, but I feel like I already know them, though I can't quite seem to put it into words. It's weird.
Sissi: Oh yeah. I get that vibe from them too. Most of the time. Ulrich's like that, you know -- some days I feel like he and I have something unsaid in our friendship, and the next day, he's a total mystery.
Laura: Strange.
Sissi: Very strange.
They definitely bond over their weird dislike over the Lyoko gang.
Sissi: It all started even before, but it intensified after Odd's cousin Aelita showed up.
Laura: The one with the pink hair? I think she's kinda cute Laura is definitely bi and I think she definitely thinks Aelita is cute.
Sissi: Please, there are a few unwritten rules at Kadic. One, I'm the best. Two, every girl goes through Della Robbia at some point. Three, Jim would rather not talk about anything that happened to him before Kadic, and Four, Jeremie and Aelita are meant to be. Heck, I don't even like them that much but I never mess with either one or the other goes feral.
They're the kind of besties who bond over bitching.
Laura: You used to like Stern? He's not even that attractive!
Sissi: You have to admit, he's a little cute.
Laura: No. If anyone's good-looking there, it's Dunbar.
Sissi: The pretend-emo who's eternally in love with Ishiyama? Seriously?
Laura: He's tall!
Sissi brings out Laura's inner petty-feminine energy (in a good way) and Laura helps ground Sissi sometimes.
So even though they never saw each other coming, they became the unlikeliest of best friends because they just get each other.
Laura: We should form our own gang.
Sissi: No, they're all too dumb for me and too normal for you.
Laura: You realize you just classified yourself as not normal?
Sissi: Of course! I'm extraordinary.
Laura: *laugh* You have a point.
Sissi: AND smart! See, Laura, we lucked out and now we're best friends.
Laura: We're best friends? How sweet of you.
Sissi: Yeah, I think we're the same kind of weird.
Bonus:
Odd: Who would've thought Sissi and Laura would end up best buds?
Jeremie: Yeah, it's a bit shocking.
Aelita: I think it's nice. It's definitely poetic.
Ulrich: I can see that, kind of. Sissi was obsessed with me, Laura was obsessed with Jeremie. I think they just need someone obsessed with Odd for a trio. And probably someone obsessed with William too, though I can't think of any reason why.
William: I thought we're friends now, Ulrich?
Ulrich: I mean, mad respect for you, but rivalry is kind of our thing.
Yumi: Thank god you aren't incharge of maturity in this group.
Ulrich: Of course. That's all Odd.

Sableye Care Guide
About
Sableye is a charming and highly intelligent pokémon with an unfortunate reputation that leaves it far from prospective trainer's minds when thinking about what pokémon to take on. This may be for the best, as sableye is also very needy and requires a high level of attention and specialized care to thrive living with humans. Future sableye trainers should take some time to consider if they can keep up with the intellectual and dietary needs of this puckish species as the very first step into getting one.
Why to Train One
Sableye are loved by trainers for their distinct personalities and playful nature. Trainers best suited for a sableye are ones who want a pokémon they can spend a lot of time with and on. Sableye will also make sure you are never bored, with their love for tricks and penchant for getting into s̲h̲a̲r̲e̲-̲w̲o̲r̲t̲h̲y̲ c̲o̲m̲e̲d̲i̲c̲ ̲s̲i̲t̲u̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲s̲.
What to Know
Sableye, for all their charm and personality, are also very strong-willed. They are not likely to bond well with a trainer who has not caught them themselves, and so unless you are going spelunking with a supply of Pokéballs, trainers are advised to look into adopting sableye when they are more mature so you can find one with a personality that meshes with yours. Sableye also do not get along well with other pokémon or small children, though if they are respectful enough of the sableye's space and independence they can come to appreciate having a play partner more their speed.
Another big challenge that trainers have to be ready for is the scratching. Sableye are natural tunnelers and love to search for nothing in peticular, and with claws equipped to scrape through stone there is not much yo can do to scratch proof your house. Getting a high resistance s̲c̲r̲a̲t̲c̲h̲ ̲s̲t̲a̲n̲d̲ or a t̲u̲n̲n̲e̲l̲i̲n̲g̲ ̲g̲a̲r̲d̲e̲n̲ and engaging your sableye's curiosity are good ways to prevent this, but it is inevitable in any home with one to find claw marks on the furniture or walls.
If your sableye is despondent or spends most of its time sulking around, this isn't the same red flag for poor care that it is with other pokémon. Instead, a sableye will start acting out if it is bored or uncomfortable. An increase in destructive tendencies, the stealing of items (especially ones it recognizes as valuable to you) and hiding them in its nest, and an increase in pranks that feel mean spirited or targeted are a sure indicator that you are doing something wrong and need to examine how you are meeting your pokémon's needs. It is also vital to learn the difference between a g̲r̲i̲n̲ and a g̲r̲i̲m̲a̲c̲e̲ so your sableye can communicate to you when it finds a situation uncomfortable.
Habitat and Enrichment
Unlike some finicky expert level care pokémon, a sableye will actually do well in an average home if it is outfitted for one. Sableye do not need frequent changes of scenery and can do well in small spaces so long as they have the freedom to move around as they please. Trainers are advised to make use of the vertical space in their homes, installing towers, climbing courses and bridges to facilitate your pokémon's gallivanting.
Important to keeping a sableye is light level. It is a common mistake to make that sableye are solely nocturnal, instead, in their natural habitat they are active as they see fit but on the surface are only comfortable moving about late at night when it's dark. Because of this, homes with lots of large windows, fluorescent lighting, or other bright light sources and not many dark areas are not advised for sableye. Ideally, you should have at least one room with low to limited daily light so the sableye can feel comfortable moving around as it needs. Connected to this space should be an area, a closet is a common choice, with no windows that can be totally dark at all times for the sableye to always have access to in which you can keep its c̲r̲a̲t̲e̲, h̲u̲t̲c̲h̲, or n̲e̲s̲t̲.
Controversial as they are to some, the pokéball is a vital part of raising pokemon in the modern environment. While sableye are not as needy as some species when it comes to specific models, for the reasons listed above it will be best for your sableye if you capture it in a d̲u̲s̲k̲ ̲b̲a̲l̲l̲, or transfer it to one as soon as possible.
As mentioned above, sableye are a pokémon with a high penchant for play that ask a lot of time of their trainer. They are very tricky, so expect lots of pranks! Sableye are not easily distracted by toys, so it is suggested that trainers set time aside each day to sit down with their sableye and play with it directly. Interactive toys and games like f̲e̲a̲t̲h̲e̲r̲ ̲w̲a̲n̲d̲s̲ or fetch are popular, but mental stimulation is also a must for their wellbeing. Introducing them to new objects will satisfy your sableyes curiosity, and t̲o̲d̲d̲l̲e̲r̲ ̲t̲o̲y̲s̲ that are designed to be eye-catching and engaging will definitely be a hit. To encourage your sableye's foraging instinct, I advise teaching them to associate a particular toy or set of toys with hide and seek, and hiding those toys between common hiding spots and new hiding spots intermittently. One of the benefits of a pokémon that eats gems is that hidden treats won't stink up the house if you forget them!
Diet
Diet is a huge and sadly common mistake for first-time sableye trainer to make. Not without reason, because a sableye absolutely cannot live on a diet of standard Pokéchow and in fact should not be given any beyond an infrequent treat basis. Sableye's preferred diet is crystalline gemstones from which it draws vital nutrients. This is often the most intimidating step into getting a sableye for more knowledgable trainers, as the amount of s̲a̲b̲l̲e̲y̲e̲-̲s̲p̲e̲c̲i̲f̲i̲c̲ ̲c̲h̲o̲w̲ brands is limited and pricey. What's important to know is that sableye is not dependent on rare gemstones, and instead the bulk of its diet is made up of those that are abundant and thusly, cheap (with the high pricetag of sableye-chows relying on you not understanding this and being willing to dish out for ''expensive'' gemstones). Quartz is relatively common, but a mixture of g̲a̲r̲d̲e̲n̲ ̲g̲r̲a̲v̲e̲l̲ you can buy from any hardware store and chunks of glass will make an excellent kibble-like fare. If you are squeamish about feeding your pokémon broken glass sand is a nutritiously sufficient replacement, but know that sableye have trouble identifying anything as food if it is not a recognizable as crystal and are very likely to dislike the texture. It is important to supplement with actual gemstones to ensure a healthy mineral mix, though if this is out of your financial reach you can substitute with a̲l̲u̲m̲i̲n̲u̲m̲, i̲r̲o̲n̲, s̲o̲d̲i̲u̲m̲, m̲a̲g̲n̲e̲s̲i̲u̲m̲, L̲i̲t̲h̲i̲u̲m̲, and p̲h̲o̲s̲p̲h̲o̲r̲o̲u̲s̲ supplement powders mixed into your homemade chow.

Travis/Katelyn overhaul time
In my rewrite, I change Travis a lot, and it also affects Travlyn (spoiler: Travlyn is cut) and minorly changes certain aspects of Katelyn. By minorly I mean super minor, like Katelyn is still Katelyn I just change their dynamic and further flesh out specific aspects
Starting off with Travis. I change his character quite a lot in Mystreet, instead keeping most of his PDH personality but a little more mature. In PDH he wasn't really that big on flirting like Dante was, he largely followed Dante because he looked up to him like an older brother. It did kind of lead to Dante and Aphmau essentially playing tug of war with Travis, but that largely stops when Dante gets a girlfriend. They still hang out because they mesh really well together, but Travis viewing Dante like an older brother starts to melt away. It especially melts away in Mystreet, where Dante has entirely stopped unsolicited flirts and instead tries to pick up girls on dating apps (it doesn't work) and then dates Nicole, but she breaks up with him so he goes back to dating apps. Travis, who still kind of holds onto the want to get a girlfriend and the habit of using Dante's advice because he legitimately doesn't know any other way, continues unsolicited flirting until Aph essentially sits him down and tells him he has got to cut it out because it's making everyone uncomfortable, and he does actually listen. He gradually becomes friends with the girls via Aphmau because he's actually pretty fun to be around. Like he does care a lot and is just kinda dorky, but he loves gossip and is extremely fun to gossip with because he knows pretty every secret of the boys'. He has wingmaned before, also, and while the relationship didn't work out, he did do a fine job of wingmanning. He's also treated kinda like Aphmau’s younger brother, although Lucinda and him still flirted with each other until Lucinda stops because she gets with Katelyn. Katelyn, like Aph, also views Travis as a younger brother
Now it's Katelyn time! She's still the same Katelyn, but a little toned down. She keeps her anger issues, but she doesn't beat people, more like she gets frustrated then super overwhelmed (she's autistic). She's also fiercely loyal and although she is trying to work on her anger issues, she can get extremely angry when she perceives someone as being rude or hostile towards people she considers family. Like she thinks of Aph, Nicole, and Travis as siblings and Hanami (my Kawaii~Chan) and Teony like cousins. Travis and her have the kind of dynamic where Katelyn playfully punches or pinches him or drops ice packs down his shirt, but the second someone else disrespects him, its going down. She has a similar dynamic to Nicole where they'll play fight but also beat up anyone for each other. When she found out about the Demon Warlock and how he was possessing Travis and how he had nearly killed Aphmau, she had a kind of fire in her eyes where you couldnt be blamed if you assumed she was going to go up there and fight Michael herself. Btw!! Katelyn is Menphia in my mind so Menphia also carried that same fire and undying loyalty to those close to her. They both burn with the same fire that fuels them to fight for the ones they love, to defend their homes and family, and to stand by the sides of those they trust until the very end
Okay that's it, hope you liked it, please leave a good review on the movie rating website of your choice (or like/reblog this post)

Ultimate Ongoing Rofan Favorites in No Particular Order
((ongoing as in unfinished. some of these are on hiatus etc))
These are titles I've enjoyed from start to finish with no inhibitions and the ones I without fail always find myself looking forward to. People who are into rofan manhwa probably already know all of these, but I still wanted to put them in one place (:
1. A Stepmother's Märchen
Tumblr media
What is there even to say anymore. Absolutely incredible story that does so much justice to all its themes and characters and that is drawn PHENOMENALLY. If you somehow still haven't read it PLEASE do. You won't regret it. Personally I think it doesn't get better than Stepmother's Märchen in this genre.
2. I Stan the Prince
Tumblr media
This story brings me the most joy. I would say out of all of these I Stan the Prince has the best romance, i.e. dynamic between the two leads. I can't get enough of them and watching their relationship grow so tenderly is wonderful. Catch me giggling and kicking my feet alongside Angela, the protagonist, who by the way is incredibly lovable, it's impossible not to be fond of her. The art is another thing entirely - it's so obvious how loved this story is by how alive and full of endearing little details every single panel is. It just makes me feel warm inside.
3. A Wicked Tale of Cinderella's Stepmom
Tumblr media
Best mom award goes to Mildred, my favorite rofan protagonist. She's in her forties, she's a dignified and wise noble lady, she was fully and seriously prepared to kill a man for hurting one of her daughters. I like the male lead but I'm also bitterly jealous of him because that should've been me. This is a story about women being awesome, and not in a superficial way!
4. Catherine’s Key to a Happy Life
Tumblr media
I can't fully articulate why, but this series makes me think about Howl's Moving Castle. None of the characters are particularly similar, but something about the atmosphere makes me enchanted in the same way. I think Catherine could be a Ghibli protagonist.
Mysterious and lovely with an intriguing storyline. Chezare is one of the most charming male leads I've seen.
5. I Raised My Fiancé with Money
Tumblr media
This one is new, but I can already tell it's most likely going to continue being very good. I don't have too much to say. The art is lovely and so is the very endearing male lead whose journey of overcoming his insecurity and low self-esteem is the center of the story right now. This manhwa's fashion game is on another level - Ilya never fails to look immaculate, and her throwing her seemingly neverending money around never gets old.
6. The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine
Tumblr media
Rofan with action! It can be silly and funny at one moment and thrilling at the other. The next season is looking to be amazing, taking everything that the series' been building up and realising it, and the story is already very fun and engaging. The "tower-regressor-S-class hunter" genre of manhwa has been little by little meshing with rofan lately and I think this is the peak of how well that can be done.
7. Loveless Heroine
Tumblr media
Thai manga!!! Now THIS is what I call a historical romance. Loveless Heroine interacts with its setting constantly and is very thoughtful about the way it represents the time period it's set in. There are also some queer themes which I absolutely love! This story feels mature and grounded, and I can't get enough of it.
8. Surviving as a Maid
Tumblr media
This series has such a soft, melancholic feeling to it. At times it's empty, a little sordid, but it's also full of beautiful moments that you remember for a long time after reading. There's a lot of longing for many different things and I would say quite a bit of grief. Ash is a very unique and relatable protagonist with her own fears, flaws and dreams, and I like how both big and small her life is. Surviving as a Maid also feels very grounded, but in a different way from Loveless Heroine.

my current album ranking, and why
i think some of this will be pretty controversial, so i've done my best to explain. what i'll also say is that i genuinely believe that every album of hers is truly brilliant in every way, but i simply prefer some over others and that comes down to personal feelings. yours may well be different.
10. evermore.
ouch. sorry. i can hear the pained screams from here. i really do apologise. here's the thing about me: i'm a big pop girlie. like, almost exclusively. i love pop music for its energy and passion and power. i know evermore has at least the latter two in its own way, but i can't mesh with it. i have tried, and i continue to try. basically, when folklore came out, i was a little feral for more taylor, but i knew it wasn't for me. that meant my reaction to evermore at first listen was "really? again?" i'm so sorry. i really am.
favourite song: closure.
least favourite song: it's time to go.
9. taylor swift (debut).
i think it's pretty common to have this one so low, and for me it's roughly the same reason as everyone else. one, i'm not a big country fan. i like it, but it's not really what i like, and that's the way of things. it's a very good country album, but i can't force myself to be a big country fan, even for taylor. second, she just became a better artist as her lyrics, production and voice matured and developed. this happens with virtually every artist and it's great to see. i don't have anything really critical to say about debut, just that it is not as good as a lot of the rest of her catalogue.
favourite song: a perfectly good heart.
least favourite song: cold as you (sorry).
8. fearless.
i did not like pretty much all of the fearless vault. i'm sorry. i just didn't. i could see exactly why they didn't get onto the original album, which doesn't happen anywhere near as much with the other vaults. just to get that out the way, because a vault shouldn't judge the album.
this was one of the very first cds i ever owned. i thought it was the coolest thing ever. her face on the cover is scribbled all over, because i was six when i got it. okay? forgive me. it gives the album a lot of nostaligia factor, and i do genuinely love it, but for some tracks i feel like nostaligia is all they have going for them. the rerecord really helped this, but ... yeah. it's just not as good as her other stuff.
favourite song: fifteen.
least favourite song: bye bye baby.
7. folklore.
put your pitchforks away. it's a good album, a great album if i'm honest. i understand the hype wholeheartedly. i don't think it's overrated. it's just not for me. i wanted to be a folklore girl, i really did, but it just didn't work out between us. the thing that makes it better than evermore at least for me is the fact that the songs are a lot more varied in production - not to say all the evermore songs sound the same, but i find the production of it to be a lot safer in several ways. i'm just not an indie girl and i've come to accept that.
favourite song: seven.
least favourite song: hoax.
6. speak now.
this is another one i've spent so much time with, mainly because i just LOVE the concepts and aesthetics of this album. it's just gorgeous. but it's not my favourite. i do really like it, much more than i used to in recent years, but again, i'm a pop girlie through and through. i don't have a lot to say really, it's pretty middle of the road for me. i think the best thing about it is how well and clearly emotions are shown in it, which is just so so brilliant, especially seeing as she was so young when she wrote it. some of her best work lyrically is in speak now for sure.
favourite song: speak now.
least favourite song: innocent.
5. red.
okay, i love red. i love red so much. this was the album that made me a swiftie. i don't know how many people agree with this, but when i think of red i don't think of autumn, i think of being younger and things being simpler, i think of late summer. my favourite taylor swift song (which has been so since the first time i heard it) is on this album. the lyricism (which, shockingly, exists in songs other than all too well!) and the emotion is to me at one of its peaks for taylor. the likes of we are never ever getting back together, 22, and i knew you were trouble will be fossilised, like them or not. it's just so quintessentially taylor in every way and deserves so much love beyond atwtmv.
favourite song: treacherous.
least favourite song: not picking one. no way.
4. lover.
this one moves sooo much for me and is actually my most played album of hers which is pretty crazy. i'll never relate to it probably, but it's just too underrated. it's gorgeous and it screams summer and dancing and being so mindlessly happy you can't think of anything else, but still holds close to it that painful relatability taylor songs are so special for. i just love it so much, i couldn't put it into words. go appreciate lover more! i'm also an unironic unapologetic me! stan. it's great, you're just boring.
favourite song: i think he knows.
least favourite song: it's nice to have a friend.
3. midnights.
i'm a firm believer in the idea that her "best" album is a different question to "your favourite" album because they're affected by different things. THIS is her best album. i don't care what you say. it has it all. narrative? gorgeous and cohesive yet tasteful. production? thematically on point, cohesive but never derivative. lyrics? every emotion, every experience, packed into 13 songs. wow wow wow. she did that, released it, and got on with her life. most artists could only dream of releasing midnights. and then the 3am edition??? even more of the same. we don't deserve it, i fear.
favourite song: question...?
least favourite song: glitch.
2. 1989.
as i listen to the rerecord more and more, this will definitely go up at some point. this is just sonically, lyrically, vocally, conceptually pop perfection. there is not one bad song on this album. there isn't even a song below an 8/10 on this album. it's just amazing and beautiful in every way. no notes.
favourite song: i wish you would.
1. reputation.
REPUTATION !!!! i can't say enough about the beauty that is reputation. i don't even know where to start. it's too good. it's the perfect revenge album, the perfect comebacl album and the perfect love album. i still live in 2017 with how this album gets me. perfection, everywhere.
favourite song: call it what you want but also all of them at once.

Manic creativity in the best cRPG
I’m not doing anything else with this Tumblr account, so I’ll post my inane ramblings instead.
There is a fine line to walk when trying to fit so many ideas into one video game. Walk too far on the side of serious, realistic content, and you’ve brewed a modern Larian Studios game where an insistence on being down-to-earth is utterly destroyed by a comic-relief encounter with some sort of whimsical chicken in between body horror and misery. Or to a lesser extent, have an otherwise mostly serious story get derailed by something lighthearted but altogether harmless, as is the experience with so much of Fallout 2. Walk too far to the side of cartoony, goofy subject matter, however, and watch as your writing becomes the wrong kind of laughable the moment you try to get mature. See the Borderlands series for a fine example.
I just made someone angry with each of those takes, so moving on.
There are ways to maintain a balance. The simplest way is to stick to one side and cut out everything that doesn’t fit, to curate a game to be a cohesive experience. As much as it’s a shame that so much of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 was forced to be cut, for all its faults, the game is a serious take on a classic, perhaps overdone franchise with a clear thesis. The balance between comedy and maturity can be achieved, of course, but that is easier said than done. As much as I hate to praise the works of Chris Avellone, I must cite a second project he worked on, every terminally online person’s most formative roleplaying game. Fallout: New Vegas is by no means a flawless game, I’m still amazed that the same quest can jump between the absurdity of helping a bunch of zombies piloting prop rockets to their holy land, and genuinely feeling conflicted about their treatment of their non-ghoul scientist ally. Of course the ghouls need these model rockets, that makes perfect sense, but did they need to gaslight this poor human into helping them? The quest I’m citing is the go-to for anyone singing the game’s praises, but any number of the game’s regions are host to the same kind of mix of the two tones. With high-enough quality in your writing, even the most disparate vibes can mesh.
But that’s a high bar. Saying to “just write good enough to make it work, lmao” is useless advice. Writing is exceedingly difficult, and good writing even moreso. So what if you try doing everything at once? Every idea, regardless of cohesiveness, coherency, sometimes even quality, all thrown into a bizarre soup of raw creativity.
If that sounds like a good time, then I urge you to get yourself a copy of Wasteland 3. All at once, it is one of the most engaging, fascinating, and baffling video games I have ever played. A point where it crosses the threshold from ‘a few weird ideas’ to a display of sheer, manic creativity. The kind of game where I encountered a weaponized statue of Ronald Reagan and the robot anarchist commune said statue is fighting. Where many quests center around a society of people named the ‘Monster Army’, who wear outfits taken from an off-brand Spirit Halloween and inhabit an old, buried mall. All the while, this Monster Army is under constant threat from a bunch of crazed clown-themed bandits who bring pain and destruction wherever they go. A partially-mechanized army of well-organized raiders seek to pillage and claim the post-apocalyptic snow-swept lands of Colorado, lands currently led by a man who wields a comically large warhammer wrapped with an American flag, sitting upon a throne of guns.
Wasteland 3 is a truly, genuinely bizarre title. At every turn, the game has some new idea to throw at you. The tone is so erratic that there really is no tone anymore. In its own way, it is such a strange and incoherent game that it comes full circle into making perfect sense. The most faithful attempt at recreating a classic psychedelic film in a game format. The game’s own drug imagery aside, every facet of its story seems to be focused on baffling and throwing off the player. The gameplay itself is quite good as far as cRPGs go, but the story is why the game has stuck with me so strongly for well over a year after playing it. Even when the game gets serious, there’s still an air of delirium. Sure, everything seems to be making sense now, but when is this important character going to do something fucking weird? I know it’ll happen, I’m just waiting. On paper, Wasteland 3 should be a mess, incoherent in all of the worst ways, and a cautionary tale. In contrast, though, it broke the idea of coherency so hard that it makes perfect sense. You just need to be in the right mindset to pick up on it, the kind of mindset you get in after clearing out a clown-bandit circus camp or watching a (good) Ralph Bakshi movie.
There are absolutely points being made, satires to be found among the bizarre vignettes, and moments that justify the game’s strangeness. I’m sure that the murderous Reagan statue’s saying something witty about America, and I can’t help but look for some meaning in the Patriarch of Colorado and his throne of guns. A game written by a more self-serious writer might try to add a few more layers of abstraction, but Wasteland 3 dares to ask the most important question.
With a sufficiently large gun, can I kill Ronald Reagan? If you know anything about writing essays and wish to malign my sloppiness here, please direct unto me your rage in great detail. I am a failed arts student, and thus too lazy to properly structure arguments.

Savanaclaw Character Songs and Associations
Tumblr media
Continuing with one of the most driven dorms on NRC's campus, Savanaclaw! What music may mesh with Leona, Jack, and Ruggie's characters?
Notes: Every song is from my liked songs playlist (so feel free to judge me for my taste, haha!) and I only allowed myself to use an artist once for this project. There is also some strong language and mature themes in some of the songs, so be aware if you choose to listen to them. I've included: - A song that represents them - A song they'd listen to - and (for some) an additional song, depending on the character and circumstance
The full Spotify playlist for ALL songs and characters is linked at the end of the post.
Heartslabyul | Octavinelle | Scarabia | Pomefiore | Ignihyde | Diasomnia
Leona Kingscholar
Represented by: Glory and Gore - Lorde
Leona is, underneath his lazy exterior, an incredibly competitive and clever character. He is highly capable (if he puts in the effort), and is aggressive, but is loyal to those he chooses to be around. This song reflects that cunning, competitive Leona. He'd also definitely listen to Lorde. I'm sure of it.
Listens to: Lateralus - TOOL
Leona would love the mood, heaviness, and cleverness of prog rock, and would listen to a lot of TOOL, Dream Theater, etc. Lateralus has a unique rhythmic pattern, lyrics that seem to mean a lot but mean basically nothing, and plus, it's connected to mathematics and theory. It would be something Leona would really like to listen to while laying about. He'd find the song clever and amusing.
Jack Howl
Represented by: Heart of Gold - Neil Young
Jack is an incredibly loyal, respectful person. Though he has a tough, strong exterior, he is truly soft. He deeply cares for others at his core... even if he won't admit it. This song is similarly gentle, and akin to his loyal and genuine nature.
Listens to: Barracuda - Heart
This song is just cool. It's dynamic. It gets a person in a certain mood, feeling like you can defeat the entire world and all its injustices. Jack would 100% listen to this song, as well as other music by Heart, especially while working out. He would love the music, and would feel driven by the power and intensity of the vocals and instruments.
Ruggie Bucchi
Represented by: Ain't No Rest For The Wicked - Cage The Elephant
Ruggie is a VERY hard worker, even though it's not always by choice. This song really reflects Ruggie's worldview, worries, pride, somewhat selfish nature, and what he does to support himself and his loved ones. On the other hand, it's a very fun piece of music, which similarly reflects Ruggie's upbeat nature.
Listens to: One Week - Barenaked Ladies
One Week is upbeat, fun, and a little goofy: just the type of song that Ruggie would listen to in his spare time, or while working on something else. I think that he'd just vibe with songs by the Barenaked Ladies in general. Ruggie would also probably memorize and learn to sing this whole song (and would definitely use it to win some bets or competitions!)

1st as a Reward, kirumi policegirl will now proceed to CRUSH plain’s face under her mighty ass!
Then Rank every single character of rain code! The detectives, shinigami, the amaterasu members, and even the mysterious masked and the pretty kurumi! All 20! Will be fun to compare before game and after you played it!
"Yes!!! That's great!!!~ Let her at me and...hm? A ranking? Sure! A ranking is bound to be fu-gaaaah!!!"
(Plain could quite finish their sentence as the fact of a very thicc and very irate Kirumi, with her massive booty, proved to be a very efficient stopping force for them at the moment).
20) Number One - He be old and evil looking and reeks of bad guy syndrome. Def the least interesting of the bunch.
19) Kurumi Wendy - Not out of actual dislike, but I just kind of find her a bit plain so far? Maybe that'll change later.
18) Zilch Alexander - This might be petty...but it's the ears for me. I can't rank him higher than that with those ears, and the glasses don't help! Also doesn't help that I find his power kinda weakish compared to the others.
17) Zange Eraser - Better old man who I think won't be as evil!!! Though aside from that his design and ability isn't as interesting as I feel
16) Dominic Fultank - Big hulking brute archetype, thought not much else it seems? I love his cybernetics, but compared to the other Ameterasu Corp, definitely feels the weakest?
15) Masked Man - Look at this cute little dork!~ Trying to be mysterious, he just seems like the type you can't help but tease. Yet his appearance so late in the previews makes it so I can't rank him any higher.
14) Desuhiko Thunderbolt - l love his ability, but don't quite like his personality much? I mean, it isn't bad, but its just not what I super enjoy?
13) Seth Burroughs - Look at me and tell me he's not the type that got the job without reading fully the terms of services associated with it? The of misfortune is strong with this one.
12) Swank - He's only this far because I love his jacket. Just look at it. Look at how shiny it is!!!
11) Guillaume - Crazy neon haired waifu!~ In seriousness, I love her spunky, chaotic design and can't wait to see how she messes and meshes with the detectives during the story.
10 & 9) Yomi Hellsmile and Martina Electro- You love to see bad guys loving each other and God do they have a presence! I can't wait to see just how well they work together in-game. But I also can't rank them higher than the eight above.
8. Pucci -Look at her she's adorable and I'm a kind of a sucker for cute types with a temper for other people being a bother to them. Well, that and her little shipping moment with Yuma.
7. Aphex Logan - Gotta love the somewhat unhinged violent good guys! Not crazy about the face mask, but really the guy himself and his design makes up for it in spades.
6. Fubuki Clockford - From angry boy to ditzy time master, I'm a sucker for characters who have the strongest of abilities but are a bit not all there to use it quiiite right. It's just a fun dynamic.
5. Melami Goldmine - Big sister types + seemingly pretty chill and fashionable ranks one highly with the Plain one.
4. Shinigami - She's beauty, she's grace, she's a death goddess who'll shove mystery in your face! She's Shinigami and I just love her as a partner already even before the game has come out. I'm eager to see how her story wraps around with Yuma.
3. Vivia Twilight - "I wanna die..." I"ll drink to that, my good man! II'll drink to that ;_;.
2. Halara Nightmare - Get on that grind Halara!! I don't know why, but I just can't help but be sucked in them both by Halara's beauty...and them wanting to be paid above all else. I don't blame them, time's are tough!
Yakuo Furio - This placement totally wasn't because of his character preview video just released. Totally. No way. Absolutely not, I surely didn't fall in love with his voice and mature attitude, whatever gave you that idea?
With that all 20 is complete! Here's hoping MDA delivers with this interesting crew!
