Yay Yosano!!! I love her so much <33

Favorite thing about them: Her backstory,,, It's just a masterpiece, for me it's really the peak of bsd's writing. “We don't want your skill. We want that kindness of yours” and “You don't need a skill at all. There's real value in your sadness.” ueueueueueueue. In two chapters it made of a relatively flat character a complex and human one, and we love to see that.

Least favorite thing about them: Nothing, she's great??? I can't think of anything.

Favorite line: There's no line that hits me in particular I can think of, but I really like the emotion / delivery of some of them. This one I like tons:

brOTP: Aaaaahhh I love her I want to see her interact with everyone. Older-sister kind of characters are ALWAYS my favourite. I love her dynamics with Ranpo and I like to think they have this sort of sibling complicity of two people who have known each other for a very long time and love each other deeply. I like her relationship with Fukuzawa, I like how explicitly protective he is of her, I'm glad she has someone she can trust who looks after her and makes her feel loved. (Actually, the Yosano / Fukuzawa relationship makes me emotional. Because Yosano was so deeply traumatized and broken and basically dead when he took her under his wing, and she looks so healthy and confident and serene in the canon timeline, it's basically a miracle; and the only way this could have happened is by having someone who deeply loved and cared for her, someone who kindly guided her through every step of rehabilitation. It moves me a little). I really enjoyed her interactions with Atsushi!! And I like to think Yosano and Kyouka would hang out, I feel like Yosano would be happy to sort of return the favour and help back a little girl who was able to slip out of the darkness just in time; I can see them have this kind of inter generational relationship where they go shopping together and chat about girl things.

OTP: I really like kousano!!! I feel like Yosano deserves her spicy pm love affair too ahah. I think it's got lots of potential for both fluff and angst, and I believe it's a cool relationship to explore for both characters!! I wish they'd meet in canon. When I first watched the anime I was low-key into ranposano, and though I don't feel very strongly about them anymore, I think it's a nice ship nonetheless!

nOTP: Nothing. Really I don't dislike ships pffttt.

Random headcanon: Something I don't think I ever brought up but that I firmly believe in is that whereas all the other ada members live at the ada dorms, Yosano, Ranpo and Fukuzawa have their own house where they live together. Fukuzawa took Ranpo to his home when he adopted him, and then Yosano joined them when they took her in because I mean, there was no way that they could leave her alone, right? So they've always lived together, and they are happy together, they never felt the need to change that. That's the real ada found family for me if there ever was one. Really like deconstructing the idea of nuclear family or of the fact that children can't live with their parents as adults while still being independent. Also it just makes sense? And it's heartwarming to think that Fukuzawa, the lone wolf with no friends of relations, now lives in a happy and lively household.

Unpopular opinion: Yosano existing isn't enough to beat the bsd being sexist allegations, I'm so sorry everyone I wish that was the case.

Song i associate with them: Kilmer by Niru Kajitsu, I just wish I didn't (个_个) There's even a beautiful fanart of Yosano in the style of the Kilmer pv here. Also Fräulein=Biblioteca by nyanyannya, just based on vibes alone (the purple butterflies!!), to mention something a little less depressing lol.

I guess I'll do the first three that come to mind????? I don't have a #1 OTP or anything like that so

Sonya/Genny. They're just so freaking pretty together. I love women!!!!!!

Jecht/The Emperor: ok hear me out. HEAR ME OUT. why wouldn't someone ship them? when Tidus dies or whatever and Jecht gives him his lifepower/energy/whatever the hell happens, the Emperor takes JECHT when he's like that and gosh their conversation in Dream's End where the Emperor is all like 'actually I've been lying to you this entire time lol' UGHGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!

Cecil/Rosa/Kain: ummm idk i just had a fleeting thought about mind-controlled kain and mind-controlled cecil and which one would be the lesser evil to rosa. like. i don't know. but mind-control shenanigans aside they love each other very much and that is fact. i love ffiv

First Ever Ship: it was probably len/luka tbh. i feel like people got peeved at it because len is supposedly 14 and luka is supposedly 20 but i just aged em up. something about the yellow/pink combo (and the fact i was obsessed with vocaloid for like a decade too)

Last Song: I'm currently listening to the Tetra Master theme from FFIX :)

Currently Reading: Allen Ginsberg's A Supermarket in California. It's for class. I hate poetry, but I have to do it for my grade. I also have to read a bunch of other poems. Gosh, I hate poems. I don't know what my professor wants me to interpret from poems because it feels like he wants a "right answer" but my answer is that "it was a poem and it did things."

Currently Watching: I don't watch TV. Or movies. The last thing I watched was the first Twilight for the first time! I wish I sparkled in the sunlight.

Currently Consuming: Nothing ATM, but me and a friend went to a bakery and I got her a whoopie pie! So yay for her! We also got coffee before that, and it was delicious.

Currently Craving: I'm not hungry right now, so nothing. But I could go for some of Miss Vickie's Spicy Dill Pickle chips when I do want to nosh. I wonder if the vending machine has been restocked...

Bloodstream (200k)

I can’t not mention my baby 😭 For people who like very long, very smutty, emotional action/adventure fics that don’t skip smut. Even though I feel like I’ve improved a lot since writing this, I’m very proud of this story! It was my main vice for all of the happy feels and horniness that came from 300mg of Wellbutrin.

Extemporary Intimacy (28k)

A different take on the whole “virgin/asexual Ten” thing. Where the Doctor regenerates into something of a horny thing, and as a result, enlists Rose’s help to teach him about sex. And, oh yes, there is quite a bit of that 💀

For All We’re Worth (30k)

There need to be way more fics where the Doctor gives Rose her very first orgasm. This is me begging any writers who might be reading this — please write that concept. Fuck. In the meantime, here is this fic, which I hold very near and dear to my heart. Oh, and there’s truth serum. Yay!

Washed Up Together (20k)

This was my first standalone Tentoo/Rose fic 🥺 The OTP of all OTP’s. Also my first gift to my dear friend Niyati (tagged above). Love, misunderstandings, a little bit of jealousy, and lots of very graphic first time smut — my favorite thing.

The Purpose of Repose (95k)

A PDF about recognizing Thai script in different fonts. Apparently some of them simplify letters so much that you can barely tell what's what and after looking at them my head is now like aojsdfglkn. (Started reading it out of curiosity but I'll likely take a pause because I still have half of the consonants left to even learn in the first place haha. One thing at a time.)

If we're talking actual books though, then The Lightning Thief! (Which I should get back to, it's been a minute...) That's always been one of my favorite books and one of the only one's I'll like-- physically read (and re-read).

1. what ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don’t care anymore?

aah man, it’s probably ed & winry from FMA if I’m being honest. now I know why, bc my baby gay younger self saw the potential for ftm!Ed and mtf!Winry since day 1 but I didn’t have the words to understand it as such back then. it’s not that I don’t care anymore but that fandom served its purpose and I am thankful for it. learned about my own stance on gender euphoria thanks to it actually even if the story has nothing to do with it in retrospect.

2. which ship would you consider your first one?

ik that, as a wee child, I was obsessed with Haruka from Sailor Moon flirting with Usagi, but I wouldn’t consider that as a proper “ship”. I learned shipping was a thing at, like, 19. but if I look back at my childhood... probably either Syaoran & Sakura (bi nation where u at??) or Touya/Yukito from Card Captor. I clocked the Tomoyo/Sakura waaaay later tho, which is a pity.

3. your first fanfic belonged to which couple?

first fanfic I read was a D. Gray Man one, so it was probably a Kanda/Allen situation yeah. I think I was 20. oh god.

4. do you remember the first couple you saw a fanart over?

hard to say. I think I had just discovered tumblr, so it means I was either 22 or 23... so I was either in the Pandora Hearts fandom or in the Tokyo Ghoul fandom. and I only followed people from those two so... I think it was an Arima/Haise one? hard to say fr.

5. did you ever get into ship discourse?

I tend to stay away from that. I just mute or block people and go back to play with my fictional people. me is petty at times, yes.

6. did you use to have any no-otp or have it currently?

I do have ships I don’t particularly like, but I find it silly to talk about them. I let people enjoy themselves.

7. who were the couples in the last fanfic you read?

Gaon/Yohan from The Devil Judge bc there’s only one fic in the whole fandom I follow and I generally don’t read fanfics that much. (I may or may not have read a fanfic from Evilive in the past month or so, but if I did I was feverish and recall very little of it).

is there?.... man I have no clue. they are all true in my heart. I can be anal about it and say that I call bullshit on the main girl in True Beauty kdrama not ending up with the second-male lead if I really have to be mad about something but... meh? that’s probably it? the characters were too young for me to empathize with them but I guess that’s still something I think about from time to time?? I feel so silly saying this ahah

10. is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?

honestly, ever since kun opened my eyes about soggy older men being bullied by grumpy older men I have changed as a person. I never disliked it per se but now everything has changed. I see the vision now. I see it. thank u kun :)

11. do you have any ship that, in the past, was considered normal but now you would be cancelled over?

listen. I ship changgu. it’s Gu Yun’s fault to be such a cougar, what was a growing kid like Changgeng supposed to do? not fantasize about his godfather? who, I might add, is only, like, 8 or 9 years older than him and didn’t even want to take that role to begin with and they got together when both were above their mid-twenties anyway? try again tag game. these new fandom babies are eating my face like smooth lions as we speak. (I am joking...)

12. what was your favorite crack ship?

before I left the m/dzs fandom... I guess Wen Q/ing & Lan W/angji as a “beard for beard” situation. they are gay and they are not vibing on prom night, having to dance with each other instead of looking for people they actually like. maybe it’s best that I left the fandom ahah

13. who is the couple you read most fanfics of?

I don’t really... read... fanfics... anymore. usually I’m either in a big ship or a niche show/book with no in between. in the second case... it’s bad bc I feel the urge to WRITE for the fandom and ship in question, which means that I don’t want to read fics about it unless I have finished my own fic for it (bc I don’t want to accidentally steal other people’s ideas. my subconscious is an octopus I swear, it latches onto anything that moves in my brain. I cannot do that to someone else’s creation!); in the first case it works only if I’m not active in the fandom:

take Word of Honor: I write for it and for the main ship too, so I don’t read fics about it

take Evilive or Winter Begonia: we have so few fics in there I MUST WRITE for the main ship, so I don’t read fics about it (sometimes I do cave in tho, yes I am human)

take The Devil Judge or Tomorrow: I’m not active on either of those, so I can enjoy reading fics (only two, one for each fandom)

my life is a struggle ik. the most fics I have read for a ship is probably that sapphic ship I shall not name (evil women come at me!!) and bagginshield from The Hobbit (we are talking 10 years ago tho)

14. what most of your ships usually have in common?

across all genders and all gender combos, I have generally 3 vibes going on:

twice divorced, never married

long suffering banter, but fond

not related, not chosen family, but a secret third thing

(additional flavor: either the younger one is the bossy one or they are the same age and they are making it everyone’s problem at that)

15. what you absolutely hate in a ship?

I would say conformity. if I don’t catch any queer vibes from the main source then what’s the point? even in a het ship I must latch onto some gender magic of some kind. some pegging for everyone would be nice too. or no sex at all, for a change, why not?

oh god.... second favourite... this is such a cruel question poke . other than my ult fave i dont rly rank characters SOOO i will just choose my girly yachi <3 so dear to my heart

favorite thing about them: her catastrophising LMFAAOOOOO. shes a mess. all the time. i love that about her its so fucking funny. give her a xanax NOW.

least favorite thing about them: as much as i love her friendship with the first years and kiyoko, i wish she talked more to the other third years :( obviously this is just because i want her to have more screen/story time but also i think her and suga could be besties . they had the potential.

favorite line: "what should i do? what do they want? did they introduce themselves to me yet? their names... what were their names? to think i cant even remember names that i've heard before!" *proceeds to come up with scenario in which she is selling her organs on the street to get by because she cant hold down a job *

brOTP: THIS IS SO RANDOM. but her are bokuto. i cant even recall if they have ever even interacted in the show but ive seen several fics now where they are besties and i love it so much

OTP: i dont rly ship her with anyone LOL.

nOTP: that being said i am very much NOT an enjoyer of her being shipped with kiyoko... at most i think its like a one sided crush on someone she looks up to but i just cant bring myself to see it going anywhere lol SORRY. might get hate for that one.

random headcanon: i like to think that by her third year she gained a lot more confidence as a manager for the club and instead of just being the quiet supporter, started applying her game knowledge more to give the club members ideas for plays. especially kagehina, like she becomes their wranglers. i just like the idea that shes really calm and nuturing with everyone else but with them shes harsh LOL. like daichi with asahi.

unpopular opinion: nothing i say about yachi is unpopular because i am always right about her.

1) Top three ships

Ya know ironically, despite the name, I don't do a lot of Canon x Canon ships. But I do have 3 for Punch Out specifically.

Carmen x Don: This one is pretty standard, like it's THE ship man, cmon. Bless pur dorky Spanish couple they deserve it

Hondo x Hugger: these two work both romantically and platonically and they're the absolute best. Like I love them so-

Bull x Soda: I think this was the ship that I was really really sold on. Like Gingerbread and Aradon? Cute but I was never sold on em, but these two fuckers? Hell to the yeah!

2) First ever ship

If it ain't obvious it was Sukiper. This was a combo ship between two characters from trolls cause yeah I was into it when I was younger, like 11 years old. DJ Suki and Cooper were my OTP, I loved em.

Willow's Theme from Angry Birds Stella POP! Such a nice theme honestly, very tranquil. Also yeah I listen to Video Game OST's

4) Last Movie

Matilda, the 1996 one. It is my absolute fave adaption of a movie, and it just makes me feel so happy when I watch it. Used to watch it heaps as a Kid

favorite thing about them: Just how kind he is. Despite everything, even later under all his trauma and depression, he is still kind.

least favorite thing about them: THAT LACK OF SELF-PRESERVATION. BUDDY I KNOW ITS THE 90s THE STATE OF MENTAL HEALTH IS A PIT, BUT YOU'RE RICH GET A THERAPIST PLEASE.

favorite line: I don't have my darkhorse volumes with me (gathering the new Yen Press Release but only have the first 2 volumes, so this is from volume 2)-- "No one can change the past. No matter how hard we try, time won't reverse. But the future? Only you, Mitsuki-san, can change your future." The "Dream" chapter had a big impact on me when I read it, even if I don't 'agree' with all of the points Subaru makes in that discussion, having him try to center someone on the here and now and reassuring them that they have a choice is powerful. Most of my favorite lines from him are in Tokyo Babylon because I haven't read Tsubasa, and he is more quiet in X.

brOTP: Hokuto-chan. His twin, his sister. ;; Maybe catching up in a what if scenario with him catching up with Hashimoto (the girl who loses her eye, wow the theming!) post-series or even post-X if you imagine all of humanity doesn't die.

OTP: I think at this point its him and Kamui. I'm not saying in that its "better" than him with Seishirou, just that the concept of them interacting based on how they interact in X is more compelling now to me. We never get to see/fully imagine (unless you write fic, which yay! Love that!) Subaru and Seishirou interacting with the full knowledge of who the other is/on an even playing field without The End of Tokyo Babylon. I like everything that is built up and in the end, Subaru did not fall in love with the facade Seishirou put up, but him for him (and then Seishirou never QUITE gets there, so we get -points at X- bozo was too focused on winning The Bet he made with a fucking third grader). SO, back to him and Kamui: they just feel like they get each other in a way no one else seems to, and that adding into the sadness of their bond (understanding but being unable/deciding not to convince the other away from a destructive path). How Subaru tries to be there for Kamui once he officially joins the other Dragons, from speaking with him or helping with homework. Their relationship, if/when we ever get a finale to the manga X (or if you just think about it), feels like the most likely to grow and build into something by the end for me. And hey, both of them have Seishirou and Fuuma as foils/'twin stars', but guess which out of the four get reincarnated as VAMPIRE TWINS in Tsubasa? Subaru and Kamui! Something something soulmates getting reborn together/commentary on Hokuto escaping the wheel of fate but these two boys are still thoroughly In It: but imagining them together makes it feel hopeful. :)

nOTP: Uh, I do not necessarily see him ever being romantically interested in women. So I guess him in a romantic relationship with a woman.

random headcanon: Post-Tokyo Babylon Subaru ends up calling every number in Hokuto's phone book to give away her clothes to friends, but months down the line he gets an unlisted call from the friend she makes in "Smile." They meet up, and Subaru has to tell her what happened, and her trying to smile for him and comfort him, causing him to break down from it, but it also somewhat brings him out of the haze of vengeance he had been in and return to like, eating regularly. Though, after that meeting he also picks up his first pack of cigarettes.

unpopular opinion: Subaru does not naturally come by fashion. He's cute and let Hokuto dress him up. I don't think that's "unpopular," but also by X if the only thing he could wear was something "embarrassing" but not risque, like a mascot uniform or something along those lines--- he would wear it and think nothing of it. Also let my mans be a rope bunny and get to exist in subspace for a bit. Maybe Karen knows an escort from Soapland that can get him into contact with the local BDSM community so he can get out of his head.

song i associate with them: Moon by Rebecca IS from the character soundtrack, but it just works so well for him.

favorite picture of them: This one from Annex: Start, I think? It's just always filled me with so many different emotions despite how subdued it is.

uhhhh sort of??? for doctor who i just..... am not suuper invested in their relationships in a romantic or sexual way, i prefer just a really interesting dynamic, which is often not one that could end in a nice happily ever after yknow??? But. gonna be honest i was not sold on thoschei when i was mostly seeing tensimm stuff but twissy changed my mind completely. like the art people do for tensimm is great but idk not really my thing i cant quite get past the year that never was, but then after the end of time and then into twissy stuff there's a...... its not even a redemption arc for missy but there's a level of character development that makes it better for After the end of time. like simmmaster refusing to regenerate in teh doctor's arms & ten crying over him was, to me, something i only got at an intellectual level idk - like ok yeah he's upset cos that's teh only other time lord in existence buuuuuut he did just keep you prisoner and humiliate you and torture a whole planet for a year idk man........... like it was wild but it doesn't invoke the same feral energy in me that twissy does. does that even count as the same ship?? it kinda doesnt. idk. but idk i havent drawn tensimm but i have drawn twissy a bunch of times and if were to write a doctor who fic other than the one i've got going atm (i would put missy in it if i could but she doesnt quiiiite fit) (except i just had an au of my au idea for that lol) it would have twelve and missy in it for sure

9. Hmmm, trying to think of a second answer to this ask... I'm going to say Pingxie, because they're like a lot of other juggernaut fandom ships - not my first choice, but a reliable fallback when you want more works to enjoy.

Or, oooooh, we could mix this up a little from DMBJ by going over to Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, because I my OTP is Sui Zhou/Tang Fan/Wang Zhi, but I still quite enjoy Sui Zhou/Tang Fan if I can't get my first choice on the menu. :P

13: My absolute favorite fandom type of anything is where someone proposes a slightly off-the-wall AU or what-if or fan-theory and everyone joins into a gleeful game of transformative yes-and in the comments and it builds into a completely unhinged and wavering tower of Babel that's only halfway intelligible when the high wears off and you come back to reread it the next day. That's less an event and more of a *happening*, I guess. Oooh, I like those events where people have to make art for fics or fic for art, etc - I love seeing that second layer of transformation happen.

17. That everybody loves is a big ask, because how often does everyone agree on anything, LOL. Ummmm... tbh, though, I don't think I've ever seen anyone say a bad word about Kan Jian, so there you go; puppy boy wins them all! If we can go with "a lot of people" rather than "everybody", the canon commitment to making Liu Sang suffer beautifully is so, so good.

Okay same as Crowbar I hc that he's a mammalian leprechaun accept he was made using domestic cat DNA code(instead of shepherd dog like Crowbar) and like the common house cat he is incredibly sadistic and cunning but lovable and cute. His "pranks" are very home alone-ish but more lethal. Getting pranked by Clover is like a death sentence you think it'd be something silly like switching your sugar out with salt but it's more like rigging a paint can to a door to knock out whoever opens it. He never pranks Snowman and Doc scratch though

Time for my ✨silly little ramblings✨™️

B “A pairing-platonic, romantic or sexual-that you initially didn't consider, but someone changed your mind” : Ooooooo, this is a good one. Well I’m not a big shipper naturally tbh, unless I see undeniable chemistry and/or suggestive scenes between characters, I’m probably just going to ship what was canon— that was until I fully entered tumblr and related fandom spaces. Now I see ships everywhere. Especially with Ao3.

Ao3 has made me ship soooo many ships, the OG being Superarrow/Kariver

More recently tho: Coldflash (my current OTP), Snowest, Hartmon, and I personally prefer them as platonic but I definitely support them as a ship— Barrisco

Also as much as I hate to admit it— I understand Eobarry and why people ship it (One sidedly it’s basically canon) but I still do not like it and definitely don’t ship it. (Ok but how tf could it ever be two sided guys— it’s also creepy af) nvm I’m not jumping into that rabbit hole today.

N “Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)” : Hmm— does more fanfiction count?💀 Ok ok, three things let’s seeeee

1: More merchandise. I finally have a STAR labs sweatshirt and it is one of my most treasured possessions— but I wish there was more options, I wish we could get Ciscos vibe glasses or smth like that (I know we can on ebay and stuff, but it’d be nice if the CW or WB put in merch effort) Ah. The pain of smaller fandoms (and I say this in relation to my other big fandoms being Star Wars and the MCU)

2: Less discourse/hate. I’ve calibrated my space here on tumblr to be on the positive side of the fandom but I remember when I couldn’t look at comment sections without seeing at least 10 hate comments (from other fans may I add). Idk maybe it’s not as bad now. I also notice this was primarily around the topic of shipping; specifically around Westallen vs Snowbarry, I saw some pretty bad stuff on both sides. Personally I just believe in ship and let ship. If you don’t like a ship then that’s fine; but don’t attack the people who do. But like I said; maybe it’s not as bad now. (Sry that was a long one lol)

3: M o r e w h u m p— including taking place in later seasons; 9x4 has so much potential and I really want someone to take advantage of it (I say, knowing full well that I could write it— I can’t though; The Bad Ending is taking up all of my writing time/energy)

Either way; whumpers I love you and I hope more of you find this fandom

Now as a fanfiction writer, I have to have headcanons; it’s how I make the story and characters work while giving them extra depth. Naturally however; it’s not something I would usually think of outside of that. I have created the most fanfictions for this fandom by far (It was also the first media I ever wrote it for) so naturally I indeed have headcanons that will make their way into my fics.

Oliver trained Team Flash in hand to hand combat Now this one is less of a headcanon and more something I wish happened— cause where tf did they get their training from?? Maybe I’m missing/forgetting something and if so sry my bad— but this seems like something that absolutely could’ve happened. (I’m not counting superhero fight club as canon btw; as fun as it is)

Everyone goes to therapy

Gods this one is more wishful thinking than anything else— I’ll never forgive the CW for having Barry and Iris take couples therapy when what they both need is therapy therapy. The number of life threatening scenarios the entirety of Team Flash has gone through is more than enough to warrant therapy (and some form of PTSD but that’s a whole nother topic). The only possible exception I would make is Barry, because it would not surprise me at all if Joe had him go as a kid and the therapist didn’t believe him about the man in yellow just like everyone else; plenty of people have bad experiences with therapy that make them not want to go and that’s completely understandable.

Team Flash has movie night

You can’t look me in the eye and tell me they don’t.

Barry has claustrophobia

Nothing to support this really, but hey— that’s why it’s a headcanon

Also I have sexuality headcanons for most characters but I’ll do those another time.

That's not to say anything bad about those who do ship them, lots of my friends do! Also interested in her relationship with her people!
