I don't understand why people pressure writers and make them feel guilty for not updating. It's really selfish tbh. I'd rather the writers take their time and write something that they're happy with than make them post as often as possible. It'll stop being fun for everyone if they start writing their fics just to get it over with. I love reading different types of fics and you can really tell when the writers actually had fun with their stories. And it makes me so happy when they themselves say how excited they are to update.
I mean it's FANFICTION. It's supposed to be fun. You won't die if one of your favorite writers takes a break. Be patient! If you as a reader keep making them feel bad then you might not get any fic from them anymore. Bc what's the point of posting for people who don't appreciate it.
And also, you're reading this FOR FREE. And you're complaining? It just sounds so disrespectful. Writers are allowed to take breaks whenever they want. And for whatever reason. Readers should appreciate all the masterpieces they get on here!

Weds 20th March
My first proper work from home day! I am fully hybrid working now so I'm at home for the rest of the week 😅
Which means I can walk Maggie in the mornings now when I'm not driving an hour to the office, so we went out at 6.30 today and it was such a lovely way to start the day 🥰 marveled at spring doing its thing, the blossoms are all out and the trees are starting to get their leaves back and it made me so happy.
Had breakfast when I got home, made a cup of tea and went upstairs to work. I was on the phones and had the rude lady from the orher week listening in to me. She was an absolute nightmare. Customers would be asking for totally reasonable things and she's there messaging me going NO NO NO and I couldn't justify why I was saying no bc really it was just her being an asshole. But equally I'm not experienced enough to go against her bc she has years in the job. It was just so stressful. So I took a longer lunch break than usual and played with Mags in the garden, had my lunch and sorted some laundry.
Thankfully the phones were quiet this afternoon so I didn't have to go back on - I got to just sit in peace and do my work with my music on. Then was getting messages about my hen do which I don't even really want and that stressed me out. So as soon as it hit 5pm I got my shorts on and worked out and it felt so good.
Had a gin & tonic in the bath for extra decompression 👀
And now am finally chilling on the sofa for one full hour before bed, with absolutely no intention of moving.
