what happens when you live in a house where you have to be extra careful about everything you do and say is, even the simplest and safest thing you say can lead to 2 day long arguments and much worse, violence. everytime the blame when something wrong happens or somebody gets angry comes on you. so you start learning to be more quiet and obedient. because you don't want to cause fights. because you don't want to get beaten up or be called a burden. you learn to say sorry for everything, take less space, put their needs first, always try your best to impress them, agree on everything they say, you learn how to become invisible. but nothing you do helps in making that house more peaceful? you shrinked yourself so you don't hurt them and yourself but were you able to change anything? no? why- because you're not the problem.

then you hear other people around you saying "she's so mature of her age" "are you always this quiet?" "thank you so much for always being so understanding " "why are you saying sorry?" "you don't need anything?" "I'm not lying, you're really amazing" "I'm not lying, you're talented"

and soon, somehow you make it out of there, you were so sure that it'll get better, you'll find people to have a good time with, you'll ace every class but wait, you never stopped hiding in plain sight, did you? oops. it's your fault you don't try socialising enough. it's your fault you don't express yourself. you are lazy. it's your fault you didn't work on yourself. you don't try hard enough. nobody could ever want you. you are not funny, you are not cool, you are not pretty. you are not like them and you never will be. it's you. you're the problem. it's you.

no precisely anon, it really appears she does and it’s a serious shame. I’m so disappointed and grow more so by the day. she can’t think she can play both fields peacefully (and silently) and not face backlash or critique when her supposed new guy has laughed at deeply racist things about her new collab among countless other groups. those actions matter and I for one can’t tolerate building someone like that (mh) up the way she has. I’ve said this in tags but I’ll say it here again. I’m not willing to twist my morals and do mental somersaults just to appease her ambiguous stance on this entire mess. I’m annoyed and pissed off and would’ve hoped for better from her.
