quite literally cannot stop thinking about how wonderfully the lockwood and co universe is built. george is precious to me and is therefore correct in everything he does but he is especially correct in his fascination with the problem because i am fascinated too.

there are limitless stories to be told about the early years of the Problem, so many questions that have not yet been answered!! i can see why george is so deeply invested in all of the theories and speculation because let's be honest, if i lived in their world you could bet all your father's sardines that i would be right there with george researching all of this at the archives.

Unpopular opinion but I don’t want the Champions and Rhoam to return in TotK

Like, I get we all want more of these characters, but they were in BotW, and the arc the story gave for them was good. There were character arcs, there was development, there was finding out who they were and what they meant to Link, and at the end they got to rest. Their mission was complete, their souls at ease. There was no longer any need to haunt the living world, and I just think that they all deserve to finally rest.

BotW was a story about grief, and by the end, they had finally healed, or something close to it, and I just don’t think it’s fair to undo all of their story.

Listen I went to watch Barbie for the second time the other day and for some reason this shitty concept entered my head and held me hostage, so now introducing:

ABOUT THE NEW ZELDA AND THE FLOATING TUTORIAL LEVEL!!!! DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO SEE SPOILERS FOR THE TUTORIAL!!!!

But like I get into the shrines and I look at the statue at the end and like… man, that lady sure was together with that ram creature, huh. Like the start of the entire royal family and its a girl and her ram creature. Real sus.

Also how does this fit into skyward sword lore? I’m imagining that hylians lived in the sky, then it all came down to earth and THEN maybe the Zonai came down and established hyrule. OR the zonai helped Hylia get the hylians up in skyloft after the terrible war that happened when other creatures got jealous of the hylians having Hylias favour and they established the royal family up there but they didn’t become rulers until the earth was returned to the surface and hyrule started becoming a thing. I think the main big bad this time is Demise instead of Ganondorf. This makes sense since I thiiink I remember sealing Demise underneath skyloft which must have later become hyrule castle which is where we meet the big bad this time. Skyward sword and tears of the kingdom are literally centuries if not thousands of years apart on the timeline since this is a direct sequel to botw. I dunno man. Another thing I realised is that the Zonai have a very similar aesthetic to the twilight folk from twilight princess which is intriguing.

This is interesting. I will update if I think of more. Also it is like 2 am it is time for slepp

do you ever think about what if Sailor Moon Crystal had been a true marriage between the character development of the 90’s anime and the untapped possibilities of the manga? And if SMC had like three times as many episodes?

What if each senshi x shitennou pairing was given appropriate room to breathe and develop?

Imagine an episode dedicated to Sailor Mercury and Zoisite’s dynamic, plots and counterplots and banter (well, one-sided banter, at least Zoisite likes having an appreciative audience until he realizes—she tricked him into monologuing) and they drive each other nuts but also, like, this is the Worthy Opponent I’ve been waiting for; I’m saying an intellectual battle of wills with hints of Something Else; whether that’s little hints or a full on moment of “Oh. Oh” is up to the fanfic writers.

I’m gnashing my teeth about the SMC season 1 that we got.

What’s Venus and the yellow one like in your au?

Neither Venus or Jennika are in either of my aus. Mostly b/c they haven't shown up in Rise and these are both cannon divergent Rise aus, but also b/c i don't really know much about them past they are girl turtles.

i've only seen Venus in the live action tv show and it felt like she was only there for the boys to try to romance, which really weirded me out so i never finished it. (i just looked it up and apparently she's literally only from that? ok. so i guess i have encountered her in the source media, i just blocked most of that out under the 'please don't make me watch the boys hitting on what's essentially their sister' thing.)

and i haven't gotten to IDW comics that Jennika is in yet so haven't encountered her. (its slow going since the books are expensive and my library only has them digitally. and from a platform i can only take out 5 things a month.) I will say this, Jennika looks pretty damn cool and i'm actually excited to meet her in the comics.

🌾 Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them

This was one of my favorite prompts from this list, so I'm glad this was included in the ask! I'll be describing Harley through Jade's perspective. As a fellow artist, I can totally picture Jade stepping away from the canvas and attempting to write sappy, flowery poetry or journal entries about her feelings to give her some form of closure and understanding. In the style of Agent Ace, this will be written from the third-person perspective (the thought process is long-winded and a lil messy, but that could just as easily be me 😅):

From the first time they met, Jade had always noticed the little things about Harley—the pattern of freckles across her nose, the way her bangs swept over her forehead, how her eyes were the exact color of sea glass. Her hands were cool to the touch, but it was the most grounding sensation Jade had ever felt. Heaven knew she fell too easily, but every time she thought she'd overcome her feelings, she sank a little deeper. Harley always had a strange gleam in her eyes; she never stopped thinking, even when she stopped paying attention to her own brain. She solved a hundred problems a day figuring out how to make her gadget of the month work, and thinking up solutions whenever it didn't. Her humor was just as bright as her mind, and optimistic in spite of every reason she had to look for the dark. They were friends, but maybe there was room for more. After all, it was impossible for Jade to ignore the way her heart skipped whenever Harley saw a creation of her own, with a look on her face like she had never seen anything more divine.

🌸 What are some of their favourite things and why? List as many as you can think of!

Alright, here we go!

The outdoors! As children, Harley and Sophia were always outside, playing in the woods behind their house or visiting the Arkley Bay Beach to look for crabs and fish in the tide pools under the docks.

Her family has always been important to her, even though her mother is the only consistent figure in her family. Harley never had the chance to meet her father, and while she still loves Sophia dearly, Sophia's strained relationship with her mother means she never gets to see her. It hurts her to see the people she loves so broken up.

Her favorite piece of jewelry, a bracelet made of strung-together wooden beads and green jasper stones. She bought it with her allowance when she was seven, along with an identical bracelet to give to Sophia as a parting gift when she left for Guard training. Sophia wears it just as much as her wedding ring.

Her best friends, Jade and Max. They were the ones she first met when she started attending the Westheight Institute, and they took her under her wing when she was all alone. There isn't much she wouldn't risk for them.

Music is the best fuel for her creativity. Whether it's dancing at a club or concert or blasting music through headphones while she works, it's invigoration that she can't get enough of.

Books. Harley is an avid reader, and spent much of her loneliest childhood days at the corner bookstore in Blumoore, getting lost in every story she could find.

Food! She'll try everything and loves almost everything she tries. Her mother's baklava is her favorite dessert, and she has a taste for sushi and barbecue—the spicier, the better!

Tinkering around in her free time. Harley is fascinated with discovering how the world around her works. Like Jade, she considers herself a creator, but she's more geared towards the sciences rather than the arts. She's a problem solver under pressure, and thrives off the trial-and-error of building new tools and gizmos and getting them to work.

On a similar note, anything related to robotics! She actually won a robotics scholarship for college, although she ended up turning down the opportunity to work under her uncle, Atticus Manalis, an underrated but genius inventor in his own right.

Once again following a related train of thought: I like to imagine that the show BattleBots exists in the Harmont Heroes universe, and that Harley, Jade, and Max all follow it religiously. The friendly competition of drawing up brackets and placing bets on which bot will prevail in each fight is what drew them together as friends in the first place.

She has an appreciation for art of all forms, since the most she can do herself are simple sketches. Her favorite art style is anything Jade makes.

Lastly, the city of Harmont, where she was born and raised. Even though her uncle's quiet, rural home has its own appeal, there's something charming and electrifying about city living, and she couldn't imagine calling anywhere else home.
