I think I can trace my intense hatred for the whole "regulations are just corporate bullshit, building codes are just The Man's way of keeping you down, we should return to pre-industrial barter and trade systems" nonsense back to when I first started doing electrical work at one of the largest hospitals in the country.

I have had to learn so much about all the special conditions in the National Electric Code for healthcare systems. All the systems that keep hospitals running, all the redundancies and backups that make sure one disaster or outage won't take out the hospital's life support, all the rules about different spaces within the hospital and the different standards that apply to each of them. And a lot of it is ridiculously over-engineered and overly redundant, but all of it is in the service of saving even one life from being lost to some wacky series of coincidences that could have been prevented with that redundancy.

I've done significantly less work in food production plants and the like, but I know they have similar standards to make sure the plants aren't going to explode or to make sure a careless maintenance tech isn't accidentally dropping screws into jars of baby food or whatever. And research labs have them to make sure some idiot doesn't leave a wrench inside a transformer and wreck a multi-million dollar machine when they try to switch it on.

Living in the self-sufficient commune is all fun and games until someone needs a kidney transplant and suddenly wants a clean, reliable hospital with doctors that are subject to some kind of overseeing body, is my point.

Justice League identity reveal where they don’t know who Batman is and one day a bunch of them walk in on him just casually eating yogurt in the cafeteria with his cowl off. A bunch of them recognize him, a couple don’t, and they’re all shocked.

Turns out Batman didn’t realize none of them knew who he was, since it had taken him all of ten minutes and three google searches to put everyone’s secret identities together and he just assumed they had all figured it out by this point. Or maybe he had meant to tell them and then just forgotten. Either way, he regularly interacts with half of them outside of hero stuff and hasn’t bothered with the whole separate persona thing with them in years. Shouldn’t they really have figured this out by now? So what if he forgot? This is clearly on them.

Okay, so since the One trailer came out (and I've finally stopped losing my mind over it) I want to say more things about Skybound Screamer before I forget

So. We all know how last issue Soundwave "killed" him right? Well, lots of us are wondering how that's gonna play out from now on because, you know, it's Starscream. He's not gonna stay dead if he doesn't want to. And while there is the possibility we could get to see Ghost!Scream again, I want to first bring your attention to this:

So if you click on the link, it will take you to a timestamp that shows DWJ working on a cover that is CLEARLY for the Transformers comics. And you'll see that he is inking a seeker, in pain, and clutching his arm, the same one Soundwave ripped apart in #7.

And like, yeah yeah, the seekers all look the same so while in theory it COULD be Warp or TC, context makes it clear that DWJ is drawing Starscream, hurt and injured and in pain, but alive.

So yeah. That's all I really have to say on this, but I'm lowkey so excited to watch how the next arc plays out!
