She went on her own Kane Chronicles Adventure with Zia,Walt and Anubis and got powered up for a hot minute thanks to her african roots(I'm black myself but if this is offensive lmk!!).They still talk on the regular and even metup irl again once and she was the first to meet norse demigods because she housed Alex in secret for a few weeks before Mr Dare found out and kicked her out and they had a heartwarming reunion years later

BRAND NEW! ASK THE WEIRDOS!

This is an ask/lore blog for my original world and characters! My original world is based off the weirdcore aesthetic and other aesthetics related to it such as dreamcore and kidcore etc. This was originally a blog for a single original character, but due to unfortunate circumstances she had to join the gang of weirdos. (She was from TMC)

The lore is not fully developed yet! There will likely be changes, new characters, and information in the future! I will go over the general lore later :)

The characters:

👁️ Dahlia Lovegrove: Dimension hopper? Yes! Omnipotent being that looks like a fucked-up furry! Age unknown, millions of years old. Has been to multiple universes and dimensions, originates from the transformers comic book universe. Owns a farm in the small southern town of Huckleberry, where they sell mostly cabbages (but she grows other food too!) Very kind and motherly, will give you vegetables for free if you’re pathetic enough. Very southern. She/They. Doesn’t label their gender. [I have not established her sexuality]

📺 Karmen Conrad: Dimension hopper? No! TV-head! Age 16, Junior at Huckleberry High. Xe has never been outside his home world, but Dahlia promises to show him other worlds some day. He isn’t really concerned about God being missing, it has an exam coming up that it hasn’t studied for. They enjoy staring into space and picking up on radio frequencies in their free time. He/They/Xe/It. Transgender + Xenogender. Panromantic aceflux.

✨ Traveler: Dimension hopper? We aren’t sure. A… human? Humans aren’t really common in this world… They fell from the sky one day, landing in Karmen’s backyard! They couldn’t remember anything about themselves, so Karmen just named them ‘Traveler’. After meeting up with Dahlia to discuss what to do, Traveler is trying to settle down in an unfamiliar world that isn’t their own with no memory of who they were before. Ever since they fell from the sky, strange things have been happening across all dimensions… characters refer to Traveler as They/Them, but they are accepting of any pronouns. Sexuality and age unknown. Likely around 17-18 years old.

💉 Nurse Syringe: Dimension hopper? No! Has a syringe for a head. Ironically, it also works at a hospital. Happy Healings Hospital, to be exact. It’s syringe head is filled with an unknown fluid, and the eyes inside its head are conscious…! It says they are like little pet goldfish. It doesn’t talk often, nor does it show much emotion at all… Regardless, its patients say that it is the best nurse at the hospital! Nobody knows how true those claims are, but I’ll take them at their word! It/Its, probably aroace. We don’t have exact confirmation, Doctor Pill tried asking if it’s aroace and it just gave a thumbs up. So… yeah? Age unknown, it’s never told anyone…

💊 Doctor Pill: Dimension hopper? No! Let me guess, she has a pill for a head and works in the medical field… yeah. She works at Happy Healings Hospital with Nurse Syringe and many others! She’s the exact opposite of Nurse Syringe, always talking and always trying to brighten up your day! Doctor Pill has made a point to try to get close to Syringe, in attempt to one day hear it laugh and make it happy. In the eight years they have worked together, that has not happened in the slightest. But Doctor Pill is persistent, and will always keep trying! Maybe you can help Doctor Pill put a non-physical smile on Nurse Syringe’s non-existent face! She/Her. [I have not established a sexuality yet] Age 32.

🖤 Lilith Graham: Dimension hopper? No! I’m sure you were all waiting for her! She’s back, and better than ever! Legend has it her and her friends came here from another universe after it started to fall apart. She still hasn’t exactly adjusted to being here, that much is for sure… But she fits right in with the rest of the creatures! No more applying labels like ‘human’ or ‘alternate’ to herself… she can just be Lilith. And that’s what matters the most. She/her. Aroace. Age 19.

⚡️Thorin: Dimension hopper? No! Unspecified creature. One of Lilith’s friends from the other world. He forgot who he was and what happened in his life, and let’s be honest, that’s probably for the best. He is very curious, but keeps it down for the sake of his own happiness regarding where he came from. Lilith tells him that he really does not wanna know what happened to him in the other world. So, he listens. He used to be a police officer, that’s all he knows. It’s a pretty fun job, especially here! He works at Huckleberry Police Station, but usually just sits outside on the curb while pondering about life. He/Him, but in a genderqueer way. Bisexual. Age unknown.

☕️ Coffee: Dimension hopper? No! Unspecified creature. Lilith didn’t know her, but apparently she existed in that other world. She doesn’t know much about her origins, and she’s okay with that! Frankly, she likes it a lot here anyways. So why worry about it? Works at Huckleberry Police Station with her best friend Thorin. Very excited all the time, wants to do something 24/7. She does not have an attention span. She/Her. Doesn’t label her sexuality. Age unknown.

🌚 Caligo: Dimension hopper? No! Voidkin/Child of the void. Also one of the friends from Lilith’s universe! He doesn’t talk much… and we don’t know a lot about him… he’s made purely out of void, so he’s kind of hard to get into physical contact with. Lilith says she can contact him just fine, though. Doesn’t miss the old universe, after hearing what happened to him there. He likes it better in the void. He/Him. Transgender. Biromantic Demiromantic Asexual. Age unknown.

🌡️ Diana Graham: Dimension hopper? No! Human. Lilith’s mom. She works at Happy Healings Hospital as a nurse, like she did back in her own world. Was originally doubling as Lilith’s caretaker and a busy nurse back in the day, but now Dahlia takes care of Lilith’s needs while she’s away. Diana is a very motherly woman, after being widowed she became a nurse and swore to take care of those around her. She/her. Cishetallo. 41.

EXTRAS:

🩷 Tiny: Dimension hopper? Yes! Sparkeater. A punk criminal from the transformers universe who is best friends with Dahlia! Sure, they bicker sometimes. But they’re still best friends! Tiny was the one who brought Coffee, Thorin, and Caligo here… and she wasn’t supposed to do that in the first place. It’s considered plagiarism to take cannons from their universe. She/They. Bisexual. Age? Who knows.

👹 Azazel: Demonic entity that is totally not a deity! They’re hiding on this blog, shh! You can ask them a question, just don’t tell the others!

editor's note: the "On Repeat" playlist is always an exercise in frustration to me because I listen to my Likes on shuffle 95% of the time. so what's "on repeat" is basically just whatever songs Spotify's shuffle algo constantly throws at me. turning off Automix (bc the app stealthily turned it back on, fecking rude app) did improve this a bit, but it's still a thorn in my side. also, some of these songs I've listened to literally like... twice. Heaven's Gate by SKYND is the first song on this playlist. it came out last month and I listened to it when it dropped and then added it to Likes and haven't heard it again since. I genuinely do not understand this list. regardless! I picked six songs from the list that I definitely would listen to that often, like, on purpose. tried to vary up genres too, just for funsies.

Kitchen Fork, Jack Conte I found this on a "weirdcore" playlist a while ago and I just think it's so lovely. the rest of the album does nothing for me, but this one has such a vibe.

Veneficium, Lacuna Coil been listening to LC since high school and they really just never miss. btw remember when female-fronted rock bands in the 2000s had to have a male vocalist to yell random shit in the chorus because god forbid there wasn't a man's voice in there somewhere.

Mist, Protest the Hero okay, I'm quite obviously failing at the genre variance attempt here but I was listening to this last night and I just think it's so cool when bands make songs about places they love. "yes I be a Newfoundlander b'y, not by birth but in my heart" !!!!! I get it! I know what you mean!

Demon (Failure Machine remix), Hypofixx slightly different genre, although I honestly do lump industrial in with metal vibes-wise. Hypofixx was a guy that clocked my "obvious VampireFreaks user" aesthetic when I was out chillin by a Morton Williams once and walked up and offered me a CD. this is a particular form of self-promotion that I miss dearly, I made so many friends and discovered so many cool local artists this way.

i miss the straight hair of sunny, i mostly miss the hairs of everyone LOL, but i also miss the height of mark heatcliff (i was. so tall, like a lot)

i sometimes feel the braces of heatcliff and other times feel the patch of sunnys missing eye

so uh. you ever feel like you kin a character that doesn't exist in canon, at least not exactly? like, technically speaking, you could exist in-universe, but you're not like. a canon character?

so uh. i think i might kin an egg, but like. not really any of the ones we know of?

my current ideas for who i was are either

a) the unknown (potentially dead) egg that Cellbit discovered existed (i refer to them as the Memory Egg), except i wasn't dead,

b) i was a random egg that just kinda existed as a Communal Egg for everyone to take care of.

um, other facts about myself that i vaguely remember:

- i definitely had a name, someone named me something. i'm getting the vibes of the name Kandi, so that might've been my name.

- i. Think i might've been tied to The Federation somehow, because i have vague memories of being in the building. my accessory was also a white bear hat, so. yeah.

- when the other eggs went missing, i got stuck in The Federation building for a few weeks. i hated it. i got out eventually.

- my general aesthetics were a mix of Kidcore and Weirdcore.

- Tilin and Flippa were still alive. not entirely sure on Trump and Bobby, but the first two were Definitely still alive.

- i remember that the eggs where i came from were like. the dragon hybrid designs a lot of people have. so yeah :]

- i might've been the Communal Egg, but i think i hung around Quackity, Charlie, Phil, Jaiden, and Bad the most. i also was around Cellbit a lot, but i think i nearly scared that man to death several times. i was really quiet, so he almost never saw me coming, and i don't think the hat helped any.

I have a new blog now where I'm reblogging a bunch of rainbow and kidcore stuff, it's @rainbowsprimkle if you're interested. I'm actually reblogging from some blogs to this blog that I was afraid to reblog from before, because before when I just had one blog where I was reblogging any kind of image I liked to it regardless of what category it fell into that included things like knives, bloody skulls, etc. because those are things that I thought looked cool. For other blogs that primarily post things like kidcore, however, they may not feel comfortable seeing those kinds of things mixed together, so I wouldn't reblog from certain blogs out of fear of getting blocked. Now that I have a whole separate blog for it though, I feel a lot more comfortable interacting with all kinds of people through this blog because I know it wouldn't risk those people coming across an image that they find disturbing or makes them uncomfortable as much, and it feels a lot less like I'm pushing people's boundaries.

If you're more interested in the other types of images I would often reblog to that blog (which includes weirdcore, random trinkets, random web graphics, liminal spaces, pictures of knives and swords, some picture of a fungus, etc.) I've just been reblogging those kinds of images to @clownmeatpizza which is just my blog for reblogs that don't fit with my other blogs. Most of it is under the "clown meat queue" tag as that is the tag that I give to all of the posts on that blog that were queued posts, though some posts in that tag are self-reblogs from my other side blogs so not everything will be an aesthetic post, some if it will be reblogs of my art and/or gifs. If you'd really like to see ONLY those kinds of aesthetic posts though without any of the memes and text posts and whatever show/game I'm currently obsessed with whenever I come online, I'll consider making another side blog that's just for miscellaneous aesthetic stuff.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little surprised that anyone actually misses that clusterfuck of an "aesthetic blog" I had. There are blogs for people who like seeing cute plushies and there are blogs for people who like seeing old web graphics and there are blogs for people who like seeing pictures of dirt and raw meat, but you usually don't see each and every one of those things on a single blog if it's meant to be an aesthetic blog and not just a general-purpose blog. And there may be several people who might enjoy two or more of those different aesthetics, but I can't imagine anyone would enjoy EVERY type of thing that gets posted there unless they're actually a clone of me, and there's bound to be at least one type of aesthetic on that blog that would make people no longer interested in following it even if what that aesthetic is is different for each person who comes across the blog.

i miss seeing your posts. i hope you’re doing alright!

But yeah I'm fine. I was just looking through my general inbox on desktop, and when I saw this ask, I remembered I had posts for this blog sitting in my drafts. So thank you for sending this ask, it was a good reminder.

There’s a couple reasons I stopped being as active on this blog. The first being that I switched my focus to working on a different sideblog of mine, and thus I began loosing interest in the grimey purposely unpleasing aesthetic I had going on here, and began focusing on an entirely different one. That’s the sad thing about sideblogs dedicated to certain interests, people change and focus on other interests that come up in their lives. I don’t hate this type of aesthetic at all, it’s just not my main focus right now.

That being said, it’s been awhile and I’m a bit hesitant to fully come back. As one of the reasons I haven’t been super active lately is because I don’t like some of the environment that surrounds this aesthetic. For instance the way “weirdcore” and “liminal spaces” have become synonymous with “traumacore.” I don’t want people coming to this blog thinking that’s what it is. I’m not trying to scare people or trigger trauma or whatever. At the time, the photographs and art that were considered “weirdcore” simply fascinated me. But it also kinda unnerved me the amount right wing hate group type blogs seemed to be interacting with my posts, which I’m not used to, but I think that’s what happens when you run a blog where you mostly only post photos, and it was kinda scary cause on mobile I can’t block people on sideblogs, so I’d have to wait until I got on desktop to block them, which made it exhausting.

But the main reason is simply because I’ve been working on myself and my mental health. I made this blog because I wanted to draw settings similar to these photos. I remember really wanting to draw a cockroach sitting at a computer, or cockroaches sitting at a poker table. But I couldn’t because I just didn’t have the energy or focus or drive to work on improving my art skills. So this inspiration blog was somewhat pointless. But I’m finally getting treatment so I’ve been able to work on myself and my art skills as well. So thank you for checking in on me, it’s very kind, but I’m actually starting to do much better than when I started this blog, so I think my absence will be better for it in the long run.

I won’t be too active on here for awhile, but I of course will be keeping this blog up. And at some point I should also edit my carrd. Also wanna go back and tag my posts so I can organize them better. But I hope one day I can come back and post My Bug Art. As for now, I’m still working on my fundamentals. I’ll still be reblogging/posting images here and there every once in awhile, as my friends still send me posts/images they think would fit this blog. Feel free to @ me on any post you think I may enjoy. Again, thank you for checking in. It’s good to know that you enjoyed this blog so far, enough to send an ask like this. Realized I never publicly dropped the lore about the depiction of Sergy Lermantoff that i made in collaboration with @sp00kfr0st so im gonna try to fix that!

Here are big details about him that y'all might be interested in.~

He has no interest in the guardian vs Pitch conflict these days. He didnt at first but was swayed in by Pitch's honeyed words. Sergy doesn't care about children and their belief. He just wants to stay tucked away in his Valley Of Lost Dreams and experiment with the dreamsand.

Sergy is an expert on dreamglass. It was his study of it that drew Pitch there in the first place, besides the rumors of the Valley itself. He likes to melt it down and put irrelevant dreams next to each other in mosiacs. The experiments he does isn't really ethical but he doesn't care. It isn't like hes harming actual people.

Sergy doesn't have many allies outside his valley but he has a handful! (See below)

Ombric was a good friend and they studied magic together. Sergy stole a number of books from The Library Of Alexandria with Ombric's assistance. Ombric foresaw the library burning down and Sergy impulsively acted(to the surprise of no one who knew him) He looks upon those books fondly and misses his old friend.

Sandy was suspicious of Sergy at first but had a silent truce with him prior to Sergy's serpent transformation. When he heard Sergy was saved and was back in the valley... it made him curious. They began to slowly develop a tight friendship as Sandy vowed to help keep him out of the war between Pitch and The Guardians. Sandy helped clarify things about dreams and reignited Sergy's fixation on his former studies. Presently, Sandy is one of his closest friends and playfully teases him whenever he visits.

Mother Nature is his closest ally alongside Sandy. It was her who saved him from death by the guardian's hands after hearing him actually say how he didnt want to die. (Which should've been impossible for him to speak in his serpent form.) She kept him in her realm to help try to reverse his curse and her merciful act confused Sergy greatly. Her patience, mercy and protectiveness allowed him to be more vulnerable around her. He knew she had a connection with Pitch but never tried to pry. He knew she was hurt by him in some form and felt a kinship with her. They feel no romantic love for each other, but the platonic love between them is strong. He adores her visits and watching her navigate under the valley's dizzying effects. She saw past his monsterous exterior and he saw past her intimidating stature and hardened walls. They saw themselves as two monsters finding someone who could finally understand them.

He has a signature weapon! Its called a Ranseur. It has some stones imbedded in it that renders certain entities/spirit's powers null. It mostly effects dream spirits.

Sergy has happened upon unfortunate humans that were claimed by the valley multiple times. If outsiders aren't careful, they will fall into an endless sleep as their dreams flow through the valley until they die. He has no power over the fate of one in such a condition. All a victim can hope for is that Sergy finds them before they fall into the cursed slumber. He's indifferent to seeing such sites ironically enough. The most he does is leave an offering out of respect and then let the valley have whatever is left of them.

He's kind of an asshole who doesn't care much for human life. Considering he is barely considered a human at this point, he doesnt see it as hypocritical. If a human dies in the valley then he does not focus on it. Its those who die while suffering that make him care.

If you asked me what -core aesthetic fit him the most, it'd be Dreamcore/Weirdcore. The valley he lives in makes outsiders hallucinate wildly in similar manners to dreams or just batshit visuals. He loves to document what people experience and watch them trip out in his presence. Sergy has a high resistance to the valley's affects but he can allow it to overtake him for a short amount of time.

His relationship with Pitch is dubious present day. They have yet to interact after Sergy was presumed dead. Pitch has no idea Sergy is alive and Sergy tries to keep it that way. Pitch tries to bury their past yet he cant bring himself to throw out the dream mosiac Sergy made for him. Sergy has very conflicting feelings over Pitch and tries to avoid talking about him. They were initially drawn to each other by pure fascination, since Sergy showed no fear over Pitch and did morally questionable things with Dreams. While Pitch's powers over nightmares appealed to the darker side of Sergy's interest of dreams.

His home is what you would imagine a magical dream wizard researcher would have, but you'd be surprised at the odd pieces of furniture he has tucked away. Sometimes outsider's hallucinations inspired him to conjure odd furniture just because it sounded hilarious to him. His favorite piece so far is an inflatable chair shaped like a bear. The concept sounded so bizarre to him that he couldn't resist.

Sergy Lermantoff is gay! 🏳️‍🌈
