Vaccine PSA
Since Monkeypox is spreading, I just want to inform people that smallpox vaccines are potentially very dangerous for people who have eczema / atopic dermatitis. A lot of people don’t know this, but exposure to the traditional smallpox vaccine even if it’s skin to skin contact with someone who has recently been vaccinated can cause eczema vaccinatum in people with a history of eczema. It basically causes a systemic reaction that could kill us without proper and immediate treatment. This hasn’t been a huge issue because we haven’t had to universally vaccinate for smallpox in a long time. However, one of the two monkeypox vaccines has the same problem according to the CDC. Yes, there is a safe vaccine available for people with eczema / atopic dermatitis called JYNNEOS, but the ACAM2000 monkeypox vaccine is not considered safe for us and you should probably avoid skin to skin contact with anyone who receives this vaccine. That also means you should not share clothes or other items with someone who received this vaccine until at least 30 days after their last dose. I’m not a doctor, but I do have atopic dermatitis. I generally don’t want to discourage people from getting vaccinated but a lot of people like me simply don’t know we’re not physically able to be vaccinated for this the same way as people who don’t have a skin condition. Please talk to your doctors first to figure out what you can do to stay safe at this time.
Edit:
Just to clarify, ACAM2000 is not actively in use outside of people in the military and researchers. It's in consideration for usage. It is a live virus that can spread past the vaccination site. JYNNEOS is not a live virus and it is safe for most people and you may have an equivalent vaccine available in your country if you live outside the US, though some people are allergic to the ingredients. That's why you should talk to your doctors first to figure out what you can do to stay safe. I've already reblogged this post with links from the CDC, but here's another in case you missed it:
Please read it carefully.
Eczema vaccinatum and other complications are rare, but not impossible and most people with a history of eczema do not know about them. I am not against vaccination, but people should know that the risks are not zero with certain vaccines. If you do develop these complications, treatment is available and necessary.
The directions are still the same, regardless if you are vaccinated. Mask and clean surfaces for monkeypox. Do not share items with an infected person. If you think that you've been exposed to monkeypox, most people can safely vaccinate to prevent a bad case, so contact your doctor immediately.
My intention is not to fearmonger people into thinking they're at immediate risk of death if they have been vaccinated or exposed. It is only to mention risks that are already included by the CDC and other eczema organizations, but may not be well known, in light of the US considering using ACAM2000.

There's something to be said for the strangeness of therapy and understanding not only why you do things, but why certain things make you feel like Death for no reason and sometimes why other people do things as well.
And its all well and good except its... tiring.
You go, you pay, you scoop out the seeds and flesh with a blunt spoon until you hit the rind, and then you sit there across from a sad, kind professional while the two of you try to sort out how to put it back together.
And no one thanks you for it outright. Your mom calls and you actually pick up for the first time in a month and she says you sound clearer. Your brother has nothing to say about the amphetamines in your bag because he knows something changed enough that he says an "I love you" at the end of a visit and gets one back. Your wife pulls you back to reality and you find affection and touch tolerable enough to do the same for her the week after without your skin crawling.
But then you start to feel muscles pull and things strain. Anger comes (real anger, not snapped frustration, not survival fighting, but deep, indignant flares) and it fires like an engine left to coagulate for years. It feels like an unwieldy hammer too large to control and too easy to swing all at once. You're afraid to pick it up. You're more afraid to have it taken away again.
So you start to demolish your own foundation. You find the rotten pylons holding up your childhood and leave them in the mud. You cannot move them now, only balance new beams better than your parents did.
Then the hardest room is next. The cozy sitting room with the day bed you kept open all hours and days for anyone to rest on, it goes down with the rotten floor. You never knew the mold had reached out here--you thought that was hidden behind the other doors, under your own bed, not in this space. Not here in the warm light of pride, of being kind and useful, where you curled up in too small of a chair and basked, knowing you had earned love with your tired limbs and heavy eyes. You drag the day bed to the curb and apologize to everyone who knocks. The new floor is bare and cold, the silence echoes in the empty room, but you start to ponder what color paint you might like to decorate yourself in. The roller is lighter than you expected. Maybe the bedroom deserves a coat.
And you brace for some pushback. Not everyone likes the color. Someone else compliments the new couch (only a couch now, an overnight bed for the cats and no one else) and someone else asks why you took the old one to the dump without telling them first. Some of them leave. Some of them put a crack in your newly painted drywall as they do. Others stay, asking if movie night is still on. You wipe your eyes and sweep the dust and ask if they'd like a drink before starting. The foundation shivers, but the walls remain.
Its mundane and earth-shattering and boring and the most terrifying all at once. No one will stop you from quitting. Healing is voluntary and the easiest responsibility on a long list to drop, and yet now that the mold is gone you understand, maybe, what it might be like to even want a home in your own mind and skin. Not a hotel, carefully crafted with beige walls and fluffed pillows, but a home.

Just curious, why do you ship Megastar?
[long post incoming, apologies, you activated my sleeper phrase]
Short answer: I like these characters and their potential. I like the idea of them, and I made up new versions because I want to see their dynamic and subtext taken seriously, and not flanderized/made into a meanspirited joke by media that is supposed to be "mature"
Long answer:
when i was watching transformers as a kid i was really interested in the dynamic of two characters who are mean and jaded and instinctively push eachother away, but work extremely well together. i didn't really understand coding yet, but in my interest in the decepticons as an entity with an ideological identity that wasn't just "bad guy" (transformers was like. the first time i really started thinking about deeper meanings and propaganda in media, which probably explains why i am as obnoxious as I am) I was always sad with how megatron and starscream never really got the chance to have their dynamic approached in a different way. in a lot of ways those two are the heart and soul of the decepticons, and I've always thought that putting more care and attention into their relationship and not just writing it off as a cruel plot device would be the first step in having a more compassionate view of the Decepticons as a whole
personally I believe that, in a similar way to batman and the joker, those two have always had a dynamic that kind of blurs the lines, and at times is outright suggested. unfortunately though, like batman and the joker, over time an unwillingness to engage with the reality of that uncomfortable, sort of meanspirited coding just led to the near-sighted stereotyping becoming crueler and more abusive. acknowledging that it exists at all means acknowledging there was that bias, so the "joke" was just repeated until it became the only thing their interactions were really known for. it's an act of flanderization, and that makes me sad
i guess my case in point is--they have a lot of potential that just isn't realized. even in places where their relationship is given depth there's still almost always this really tonally dissonant violence to their interactions that's never unpacked, not really, because how are you going to sell toys of that? moreover, how are you going to make megatron "redeemable" after that? what could be considered strange, poorly executed slapstick in its origin became aesthetically worse and worse, but was never given serious thought--and I think that makes the story, overall, worse! "maturing" the brand didn't make it smarter, it just made an elephant in the room, and now Transformers is so locked in to its decided status quo that we haven't had a different perspective on any of these characters since Animated.
I apologize for the rant, but it's something I think about alot and your question is somewhat related to that. I'm frustrated by how dismissively these characters are written in versions of Transformers that are supposed to "smart" and "mature", I'm frustrated by how that negatively impacts the story, and I'm frustrated by how the people who like these characters can be dismissive of it. I think there's a lot of story potential and thematic insight into the decepticons that can be gained by looking at these two as characters with a history, and not just a bad joke! I think that you can have all the best parts--the sabotage, betrayal, bitterness, and the irony of someone you refuse to trust who still manages to know you better than anyone else, and have that shown through actions and character development, and actually written instead of having to be overscored by unintelligible violence for the sake of being "dark" and reaffirming, in the cheapest way possible, that you're looking at characters who are evil! I want to see that in a story!
my work is honestly not really about what I think transformers IS, or HAS to be, but what I think it has the potential to be, and what my interpretation of the themes means to me. I want to see all of the Decepticons viewed with a different lens, and these two are probably the most important Decepticons, both on a story/thematic level and a cultural one. transformers was the first piece of media I was really consciously critically thinking about, entirely by chance, and in the interest of art and human expression I want to make something different that is interested in being more thoughtful
anyway, sorry again for rambling. I might delete this later to keep my page clean, but I appreciate the question! I'd give more specific examples of why I like the stuff I made up but those would be spoilers.

i’m doing my annual reread of “gone girl” (happy women’s history month!) and as much as i ADORE the movie, both as a movie and an adaptation (seriously i think it’s one of the best adaptations i’ve ever seen), the book just has something to offer that i feel like couldn’t really be translated into film: the narration.
like yes there’s some narration in the movie, but films are a visual medium. for the most part, you don’t have the character tell us what they’re thinking, you show us via their actions. but a book, especially in first person POV as the book is (alternating perspectives between nick and amy), you have the benefit of having the character’s thoughts, and their actions, which can often hint at some stuff the characters don’t realize or don’t want to admit. especially because in the book, nick and amy are both aware they are telling you a story. they are both playing to an audience, they both know you’re there, and they both want you to side with them. and that is fascinating to consider as you read.
and we’ve all seen amy get made into this feminist girlboss heroine, and i know some people are joking (i mean, i joke about it), but some people are not. and that is baffling if you read the book and realize amy is also a complete misogynist. (actually she’s a misanthrope, she hates everybody, but she really has contempt for other women that doesn’t come up as much in the movie.) i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: it is a tragedy the book cut out hilary handy, because what amy did to her is an EXCELLENT example of amy’s lack of care for other women.
the book also delves more into how amy, while brilliant and clever, is also not nearly as smart as she thinks she is, and she’s also a complete spoiled brat. the movie definitely mentions that amy was rich, but in the book, it’s clear that she’s never actually had to have job in her life (she does have one, but it doesn’t pay that well and it’s clear she could quit and live off her parents’ money any time she liked), and when she complains about being dragged “penniless” to missouri, she can still afford to not work and never has to think about the cost of gas. like she and nick aren’t RICH anymore, but they’re certainly not poor. amy in the book pays ten dollars for a carton of milk because she doesn’t realize she’s being overcharged. she expects $12,000 to last her nearly a year living in hiding, without actually budgeting (or rather, sticking to her budget) or compromising on comfort.
furthermore, the book gets more into amy’s childhood and why she is the way she is, and also how her actions affect people who did nothing to her. the book spends a lot more time with her parents, who while not GOOD people in the book, get a lot more depth and really highlight amy’s callousness. the book does more to explore her psyche to make it clear that amy isn’t some super-cool ice queen mastermind who Does What She Wants; she’s on the edge of a breakdown basically 24/7, she’s a total hypocrite, she’s completely oblivious to her weaknesses and other people’s strengths, she’s motivated almost entirely by what others think of her, and her ego is both VERY inflated and incredibly fragile.
and in the book, amy and nick are perfect for each other. seriously. i have personally concluded that neither of them are capable of selfless or healthy love--except nick’s love for his sister, which is his main redeeming quality as a human being--but they do love each other in the most twisted, fucked-up, masochism tango way possible, and they’ll live miserably ever after because neither of them could ever be happy with someone else anyway.
like i get this stuff had to be streamlined or downplayed to make a 432-page book work in a single film. but i wish more discussion of the story was centered around the book instead of the movie, because i feel like when you have to cut down on stuff, some nuance and depth inevitably gets lost. and i wonder if amy would be as widely idolized and praised if the fanbase was centered more on the book than the movie.
tl;dr: if you’ve only seen the movie of gone girl, i implore you to pick up the book. it’s fantastic and makes an already stellar story even better. the audiobook is also excellent, although it did take me a couple chapters to get used to the narrator’s voices. they’re both FANTASTIC but it was jarring to hear nick as Not Ben Affleck and amy as Not Rosamund Pike

Imagine helping your f/o get ready for the day:
Watching them groggily turn off their alarm while they grumble their way out of bed, rubbing their eyes and placing a gentle kiss to your forehead before leaving the room to wash up. You wake up shortly after, following along and leaning against the bathroom door as you ask them how they slept and ask about what they have planned for the day!
Once they're clean, you help them pick a nice outfit for the day. If they're heading to work, you choose your favorite outfit of theirs and compliment them once they have it on, even asking them to give you a twirl to show off their look. If they're staying home, you help them choose the comfiest clothes and steal one of their loose shirts while you're at it, wearing it over your pajamas.
Then, you both head into the kitchen to get breakfast. If you cook for them, they'll be watching you with a lovestruck look while thanking you for the meal, eating it like it's the most delicious thing they've ever had. If they're cooking, you wrap your arms around their waist while nuzzling the crook of their neck, humming your favorite song as you enjoy the smell of fresh food before digging in.
If they leave for work you pout as you get ready for them to leave, hugging them tightly and placing a kiss to their cheek. They turn around and scoop you into their arms, kissing you repeatedly and thanking you for keeping them company while they got ready.
If you get to stay home together you get yourselves comfy in bed and put on something to listen to in the background, while lazily scrolling on your phone or playing videogames, cuddling them and enjoying the feeling of their hands rubbing your back gently.
Either way they're happy to chat with you as they go through their routine, feeling a bit more ready for the day thanks to your presence. They're always happy to have you around and words cannot describe just how in love they are with you.

Okay, so I know everyone loves the joke about pre vampire Astarion judging based on vibes, but I do feel like his more...Foppishly flippant persona is one he put on after being turned and enslaved by Cazador. You see peeks of his previous personality in dialogue, such as this one linked here
Tumblr media
I don't think he was a corrupt magistrate in the way people tend to think. Silly, accepting bribes all the time (maybe every now and then, though, don't get me wrong) and just only getting the job due to nepotism.
We've seen Astarion already have prejudices against gnomes, Gur, and other minority groups. It's not far to say that he allowed these to sway his rulings or even have him push for a ruling, such as what he may have done with the ruling that the Gur killed him for. Hell, he might have even refused a bribe from Cazador and that's what put him on Cazador's radar to set him up to kill. (Or something. I do feel like Astarion did a thing that annoyed Cazador and he wanted to "put him in his place.")
I do have this question and this is going to bring some speculative thoughts.
Why is a guy who was probably a high moon elf so prejudice and cut throat? Moon elves aren't known for being prejudice and cruel, in fact they detest cruelty and unfairness. Sun elves were a bit more prejudice and believing in elf superiority, known to act first when dealing with drow and ask questions later, but I hesitate to consider Astarion a sun elf due to the fact we see the other spawn. Their colorations didn't change except their eyes.
The only reason I can think of is if his family wanted to leave behind the free spirited, traveling attitude of their moon elf brethren and wanted to reach for some higher status, and found a way to do that in Baldur's Gate. Astarion does mention a moon elf noble house in Evermeet, so he isn't so disassociated with his people as some might suggest.
Tumblr media
"House Nightstar was a moon elf house led in 1367 DR by the twin sisters Halaema Nightstar and Saelihn Nightstar. (x)"
So taking in this guy's possible family ambitions to maybe be up in the high elf pecking order as some of the sun elf houses....
Astarion would have been a serious magistrate, albeit a highly biased one.
He would know the laws like the back of his hand, and yet would bend them to fit what he wanted them to be in his rulings. Yes, this is the law, but wouldn't it be better if we kept the vagrants out? Yes, I know this is the typical standard, but we should be more severe on these people so they know not to step out of line. He would do everything by the book, but some of the rulings would be viewed as severe due to who he was working with.
And would he enjoy the power and influence of the job? Yes. He would have indulged himself outside of the office. But inside the office, he'd be cut throat to gain the next level to build up the family power level.
I welcome other thoughts, because my ADHD just ran out of steam.

Oh? My fucking god??
Tumblr media
THIS WAS THE CONTROLLER FOR THE SUBMARINE THAT WENT MISSING???
The Logitech F710??
Tumblr media
Like, okay, apparently the U.S. military* uses Xbox 360 controllers. I get that. It's cheap. It's technology already familiar to many young adults. I get it, I do.
*(fuck 'em)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But still. STILL.
I don't know anything about gamepads, but I do know the Logitech F710 came out thirteen years ago. I just found it on Ebay for $16 including shipping.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But surely that means that through the test of time, the Logitech F710 has proven itself to be the best around, right? A work of video game engineering so flawless, even a relatively sane individual might agree to trust it with their life....right?
Tumblr media
Oh. Oh. Jesus Horatio Christ.
Imagine your joystick drifts and your buttons get stuck and your controller lags...while you're steering a submarine...13,000 FEET UNDERWATER.
(That's about 4,000 meters, or just under 2.5 miles. And yes, I know it's actually a submersible, not a submarine.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh my god. Oh my god.
For context, according to Naval Post:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A submarine specifically built to rescue people from subs sunk deep in the sea has a maximum depth of 7,500 to 10,000 feet (2,250 to 3,000 meters). But no, with the Titan, we're talking 13,000 FEET.
So if the pressure at approximately that depth is 5,775 psi, which means 5,775 lbs (2,619 kg)—or ALMOST THREE TONS—per square inch...
Tumblr media
...and the atmospheric pressure where I live is sitting at 14.5 psi today...
That means the sheer pressure of the ocean at that depth is, like, 400 times that of the air we breathe. So if your fucking 13-year-old video game controller drifts you into the wreckage of the goddamn Titanic, the moment your hull sustains a little damage, even the tiniest leak, you're gonezo. The sub implodes and you're pulverized. Instantly.
(Plus I hear the compression rate is so extreme, the molecules so fast-moving, that everything heats to combustion in the split second before the water puts it out. So really, you'd be incinerated before you'd be crushed. Ain't that a treat?)
But hey, maybe the pressure hull remains intact and you just lose power. Or get entangled in the wreckage of, again, THE GODDAMN TITANIC.
Then it's just you and your four rich buddies crammed into a metal tube, waiting for your 96 hours of oxygen to run out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Navigational computers on the fucking floor. No backrests. No seats. No padding. Nothing. Just one small toilet sat in front of one tiny window.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So when the power dies and the lights go out, it's just a claustrophic sardine tin of the wealthy, alone in the suffocating pitch-dark at the bottom of the ocean, choking on the smell of their own shit.
All this, for a quarter of a million dollars per head.
Tumblr media
Which they paid even though Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate himself, said that SAFETY IS A WASTE. OH MY FUCKING—
Tumblr media
A sadly unshocking thing to hear from the CEO of a company that's engendered safety concerns! For! YEARS!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also unshocking: the waiver apparently mentions death three times on the first page.
You know.
In case it didn't get through to you after the first two times. Or after reading that the sub is experimental and hasn't been approved or regulated in any remotely meaningful way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But it's okay if the MacGyvered fucking submarine crumbles like a Saltine cracker, because IT DOESN'T MATTER IF EVERYTHING FAILS! AS LONG AS THE PRESSURE HULL'S INTACT, IT'S OKAY IF YOU'RE STUCK 13,000 FEET UNDER THE SEA WITH A RAPIDLY DWINDLING SUPPLY OF OXYGEN! THE CEO OF OCEANGATE SAID SO!!!
Tumblr media
HAHA! HA! YES, THE TOTALLY SUCCESSFUL MACGYVERED SUB WITH A COMPLETELY INTACT PRESSURE HULL!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh my god. Oh my GOOOOOOOOD.
But hey! Remember! :) If the Juulpod-sized, Atari-run hunk of hubris doesn't literally fucking implode with you inside it, it's okay that there are 18 bolts locking you in that can't be undone without external assistance! Because Stockton Rush said you're safe as long as the (definitely pristine) hull is still intact!
So if you're bobbing on the surface of the ocean, watching seagulls cross blue sky through your single tiny porthole, listening to the pulse of white-crested waves ruffled by the cool sea breeze, drowning above water because you can't escape the slow ceaseless hourglass that is your stagnant air supply without a rescue crew—a rescue crew that can't even find you because you're mired in a vast expanse of savage ocean and oh, by the way, your communications going down is what started all this in the FIRST PLACE...
...well, don't worry! Titan's many, many, MANY successful past voyages should give you comfort! :)
Tumblr media
But, on the very off chance this could be a dangerous and likely deadly situation, tell me: which would be the worst way to go?
Incinerating in the abrupt birth of a terrible, crushing singularity?
Asphyxiating in the lightless abyss that lurks like some arcane hell at the bottom of the ocean?
Or suffocating just as slowly above the water, with air so close you can see the misty breeze yet still...just...out...of reach?
God, I hope we save these dumbass idiots. Especially since one of them's just a 19-year-old kid. I don't even care how rich and stupid they are. I just can't imagine dying like that.

Billy is tired.
So tired, but he wants to shower.
It took a lot out of him just to get undressed.
He's gotten used to washing himself with wash cloths and a basin of water, but his hair feels gross and there's spots he still can't reach.
He's too prideful to ask for help.
He just wants to feel the water rain down on him and wash it all away. Wash away the dirt and grime. The blood. The pain.
His wounds are crusted over with scabs and there are staples in his skin. He's pale. So pale he can see his veins, and his brain plays tricks on him.
Maybe that thing is still there. Black ink yet to be flushed out. Laying dormant. Ready to infect him again when he least expects it.
He wants to wash it all away.
When Billy steps into the shower, he's barely got his hand on the nob when his vision gets spotty. Dizzy. He catches himself, sliding down the wall before he passes out.
He comes to within seconds, but he can't push himself up. He reaches a hand out weakly but it's no use. Can't turn on the shower. Can't get up.
He sits there for what feels like hours. It will be a while until Steve comes home from work. Maybe he will just sleep there.
He feels pathetic, unable to move without effort. Drifts off to sleep, despite the cool tiles on his naked skin chilling him.
"Hey," Steve gently shakes him, "Billy. Wake up."
Billy stirs, a shiver seizing him.
"Are you okay?"
Billy begins to sob.
"I just want to be clean."
"Oh, baby..."
Steve pulls Billy into his arms, careful still of his exposed stitches and staples despite the doctor insisting they were fine.
Steve strips down to nothing, and helps Billy stand. He turns on the shower and holds Billy up as best as he can.
The warm spray of the water feels divine. Billy opens his mouth and takes a deep breath of the humid air, lungs opening up.
Steve instructs Billy to hold onto the wall. Billy closes his eyes as Steve's fingers work through his hair and scalp, lathering and rinsing.
He washes Billy's back... and lower, between his thighs.
They've seen each other naked plenty of times, but Billy is embarrassed nonetheless that this is what it has come to. Steve doesn't seem to mind.
Steve helps Billy out of the shower and into a towel, sitting him on a stool while he finishes showering himself.
"I'm sorry"
"It's okay"
"I wanted to do it myself"
"It's okay"
"I can't -"
"It's okay"
It's not okay, though. When he's not there, Steve is stressed. Worried. This is exactly the kind of thing he thinks about all day.
Billy falling.
Apart.
Steve kisses his forehead and helps him get dressed in warm pajamas. They settle into bed, and he tries to think about what he can do.
"I've got something to show you," Steve says to Billy a couple days later.
Billy grunts in reply, lazily spooning cereal in his mouth at the breakfast table.
"C'mere"
Steve guides him to the bathroom with a hand on his back, and opens the door. Billy stands there for a minute. Confused.
Steve opens the shower door.
Inside is a plastic shower chair and hand rails installed into the wall. Billy doesn't move. Doesn't say anything.
Steve scratches his head, hand on his hip. Nervous.
"This... for me?"
"Uh, yeah..."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
Billy wipes a tear from his face and sniffs.
"Yeah," Billy nods.
He grasps Steve's face, kissing his lips. Steve's hands move up his side tentatively, deepening the kiss but afraid to hurt him.
Billy grabs his arm. Encourages him to hold him tighter.
"You're not gonna break me," Billy says between a kiss, "You're never gonna break me"

LOVE'S RAGE .. an assortment of lyrics from the artist ethel cain.
i love the way it feels to miss you.
'cause what's the point if you're not by my side?
can you read my mind?
i've been watching you.
i only want him if he says it first to me.
and piss him off until he hates me.
good men die too, so i'd rather be with you.
could you be someone else, if someone else is what i need?
you have tasted love and it tasted sweet.
don't sink in me with your dog teeth.
call me what you want and i'll be that.
he's mean, i'm meaner.
oh, babe, i'm too good for you and it makes me need it even more.
show me where it hurts and i'll lick better.
he's so good to me and nobody else.
i'm bad, he's worse.
i'm not scared of god, i'm scared that he was gone all along.
he hates the way you look at me.
i've loved before, i'll kill again.
everything hurts except for you.
and i like thinking i'm no different from you.
am i not good enough for you?
baby, don't you lie to me.
is there someone who has your heart that keeps you gone, away from me?
do you not love me like you did?
'cause i love you more than i thought i could.
'cause i don't hate you like i know i should.
tell me i'm no one else's but yours.
you're like an angel, nothing can touch you.
you know my weakness, but you don't know what i'd do.
i know i'm gonna lose you, but god i don't want to.
i know i don't need you, but i'm terrified of letting you go.
how am i supposed to feel good about myself when everything i do is wrong?
and we've been cursed since the start.
see it on your face, you won't change in your ways.
jesus can always reject his father, but he cannot escape his mother's blood.
trouble's always gonna find you, baby.
i've killed before and i'll kill again.
where you're still the good guy, i'll play pretend.
you wanna get my clothes off.
you're all the same, black leather and dark glasses.
he's cold-blooded so it takes more time to bleed.
something they all want that only you can have.
you wanna see me on my knees.
and if you hate me, please don't tell me.
you love blood too much.
suffer does the wolf, crawling to thee.
i am the face of love's rage.
i am no good nor evil, simply i am.
i have come to take what is mine.
i was there in the dark when you spilled your first blood.
you can't hide from me forever.

Imagine being comforted by your f/o when you're feeling bad about your appearance:
Once they notice you seem a bit sadder than usual, they'll keep a close eye on you and ask you what's wrong once they feel you've warmed up to them, rubbing your back carefully and listening to you vent away.
From then on they set their mind to make sure you feel like the most gorgeous person in the world, at least for the day. They know how amazing you are and they want you to appreciate yourself just as much as they do.
They'll place soft kisses all over your face while gently wrapping their arms around you, resting your head against their chest so you can hear their heartbeat while they shower you in compliments.
They reassure you about whatever is making you feel self conscious, telling you how all of you looks amazing and that they adore every last inch of you. They couldn't dream of a better partner and they consider themselves extremely lucky to be with someone as perfect as you.
They'll make sure to take care of you if self-care feels like too much work, keeping you fed, hydrated and well rested all throughout the day. They'll occasionally sit by you and just place kisses on your skin, whispering about how wonderful you look.
If you're up for it, they'll suggest having you dress up so you can go on a date together. Once you show them your outfit they'll hype you up and gush about how pretty/handsome/wonderful you look and hug you extra tightly as they smile at the sight of you.
No matter how you see yourself, your f/o will always see you as the most perfect being on every universe. They want you to remember that they love you more than everything.
