Round 1 Part 7 Poll 5
Propaganda
James Flint's gay. He waged war on all of civilization in the name of his gay lover and expanded to racial equality and he almost fucking won. They (civilization) took everything from him. And then they call HIM the MONSTER? The moment he signs that pardon, the moment he ASKS for one, he proclaims to the world they were right. This ends when he grants them HIS forgiveness, not the other way around.
Marian's the black lesbian captain of the USCGC Eagle, we don't get much of her backstory other than that her shitty husband took her kids, but in the first book she gets a nice pre-celtic girlfriend she rescued from the evil proto-celts, and by the second book she's in charge of the world's biggest and most powerful navy as the "commodore of the Republic of Nantucket Coast Guard". Really cool character, I think

During my spontaneous employment on Mêlée Island and trip to Monkey Island I pirated created some new dishes.
Now available at The Captain’s Head at Port Merrick, enjoy!
Some flavour text under the cut
If you’re a ghost you may be root beer intolerant. We are not liable for any accidents involving root beer.
You are not limited to the pancake options shown on the menu. Put them together to your own liking! Grog is a standard drink on the seas and has been available before but now we also serve other variations of Grog. We also serve root beer. Please do not spray root beer on other customers especially ghosts.
Our establishment offers a few dessert options such as Scorched Alaska (it’s very hot. We are not exaggerating). From 7-11 am we also sell our limited no-name cereal we acquired from monkey island. It’s definitely not stale and not expired

My entry for the GBA MotH fanart contest! Hope I made it, because that monster of a sea and lighting delayed things... I uploaded this to Twitter as well, just in case.
This tecnically never happened, since it was born from my failed prediction on how Zed would find the Castle, after Mirrin was recovered.
Maybe the Titan Snake is not big enough, but the idea here is that the island is far enough for it to be coiled around like the author described, and then I used that light so the castle, which is huge as well, would stand out more.

JUST NOTICED THIS PARALLEL AND IT IS DESTROYING ME:
Chapter 8, Arthur about Sal's poem:
"I particularly liked 'the scratches as a history'. It spoke to me."
Chapter 15, Linus discovering where Arthur was trapped as child:
"Something in the corner caught his eyes. He approached the far wall and as he got closer, he felt his knees turned to jelly. Tick marks. Tick marks scratched into the wall. He stopped counting when he reached sixty. It was too much. He thought they were meant to keep track of days and the idea caused his heart to ache."
OF COURSE THE IDEA OF SCRATCHES AS HISTORY SPOKE TO HIM. GOOD LORD. HE LITERALLY COUNTED HIS LIFE IN SCRATCHES.

With the current walrus/fairy controversy on this site, I decided to ask my family their opinions. My mum and my brother, the more new-age hippie types, said a walrus would be more surprising. My dad and sister, who consider themselves more 'grounded,' said a fairy would surprise them more. With this very small sample size that means nothing, we're about 50/50 for people who aren't Tumblrbrained.
That is not the point of this post.
My brother's girlfriend said, and I quote, "neither." As in, she would not be at all surprised to find either a fairy or a walrus knocking on her door. I think we should all put aside our differences and talk about whatever the fuck is going on there for a little bit.
