Idk who will read this rn as I made this account yesterday because I decided to quit Instagram and move my art here. But I swear that I love the fact that Tumblr doesn't have a stupid ass algorithm that doesn't let most people see your creations, or the fact that hashtags are actually useful here.

For those who don't know, Instagram made a new update were you can't see the recent posts in hashtags unless they're popular (top posts and recent top posts) . So now it's only the algorithm that decides which posts it will let you see. Horrible.

I love making things. I love exploring. I love learning. I love art.

I wanted to try sharing my art on a different platform to see how it impacts my process. I don't sell anything, art is just my hobby. But I feel like instagram creates a frustrating cycle of focusing on social media more than actually making art.

I'm excited that tumblr is more image and blogging forward, rather than video first.

I experiment with all kinds of mediums including acrylic, watercolour, gouche, and printmaking. I will draw with anything and everything.

I'm hoping to find other experimental and curious artists who like sharing their progress!

With this AI training horror news reaching tumblr too, I think it would be sane to prepare for the worst. Until we have certain news that Tumblr won't get sold out to AI companies I'm going to stop posting ficlets as full text here and will only embed the link to my locked AO3 profile (you have to have an AO3 account to view).
