Hawkins, you had called the place home for about a month and a half, and with fall in full swing and break coming up, things were starting to get busy
Halloween was coming up and it was just as a big thing in Hawkins as it was in New York
You always loved Halloween, it's good fun, plus the colors were always a nice contrast to New York and its grayness
And you had a habit of dressing up as shitty put-together costumes of superheroes to make your friends laugh after all you were meant to be them the best one was spiderman
By best, it means crack head energy one

The Bully continued though: so no good times :(
You're basically annoyed at this point, Like would you find a few ways to harass me thanks, Wiping away marker day after day just seems like, no thought put into it
With the last week of school coming up, well, that was different.
Steve had started sitting with you during lunch, till he finally spits it out that he and Nancy had split a few weeks ago.
But you felt like he had been holding on for a while to that
So with him now girlfriend less and Tommy and Carol free he spent lunch with you.
"So what are you gonna be for Halloween?" Steve asked.
Y/n shrugged, "who knows. I was thinking something superhero."
"Like Black widow?" Steve asked.
"Try Ant-Man."
"Ant-Man? Please." he rolled his eyes, causing Y/n to chuckle.
"Oops!"
The harmless laughter was soon cut off by food being dumped straight onto her head.
"Oh no!" A girl aspirated, loudly, "not my milk too!"
Y/n and Steve were too in shock to even move, Y/n being covered in sloppy joe, mashed potatoes, and strawberry milk. The whole cafeteria went silent as the girl's laughter filled the silence.
"You don't mind if I take yours right?" She asked, "Accidents happen all the time."
The girl took the milk from Y/n's barely-touched tray and walked off to the center between all the tables, walking down as if it was some runway with her friends.
"That's It!" Y/n shouted standing up the whole table rocking as she did so.
"y/n! Y/n!" Steve called as she walked from between the tables, pulling her jean jacket off and wiping her face on it before tossing it aside, "Heather get the FUCK back here!"
The teen turned around, smirking at her as her friends laughed.
"Aw. Little nobody wants to get in a cat fight?" She mocked, watching Y/n take off her belt, "She's a whore too! Gonna undress for the whole school are you?"
Steve ran in beside her, "Y/n if you fight them-"
"It's not a fight if all I do is beat there ass." Y/n defended, "So go back to your see. Now."
Steve gulped back up towards the table. "Go sit down with you little bitch friends," Heather ordered as Y/n stood there.
The cafeteria was silent, all eyes on Y/n as she sniffled something itching her nose as she wrapped her belt around her palm and knuckles letting it go down her forearm and tightening it on her arm. The girls looked at each other and laughed under their breath.
"Is that supposed to scare me?" She asked as she started forward towards Y/n stopping barely an inch apart.
"This is your warning." Y/n demanded calmly, "you walk away, and you apologize to Steve for calling him a name."
"And if I don't?" She spoke.
Y/n nodded looking down, Heather laughing: all bark and no bite.
Y/n calmly placed her hand on Heather's shoulder, and quickly gut punched her hard, Heather crumbling to the ground in pain wheezing for pain as Y/n pushed her over easy with her foot.
"Someone else wanna come at me!" Y/n shouted.
"Y/n! Behind you!"
Y/n turned around too slow just to be rushed at by one of the girl's boyfriends, she was driven into a support pillar as he punched at her gut.
"YEAH! GET EM Y/N!" Eddie cheered, the whole cafeteria in uproar: apparently Y/n's not the only one these guys were fucking with.
Grabbing him by his hair she dragged him near a table and tossed him into it, it hit him in the gut as Y/n grabbed him by the hair once more and threw him to the floor. Another boyfriend jumped in, pulling Y/n by her hair she struggled against his grasp but dropped onto her knees, he was thrown off balance causing him to jolt forward as she grabbed him by his arms and flipped him over her, sending him to the ground and hard. She stood back up seeing the girls at the end of the cafeteria scram as quick as they could.
"Knife!"
Y/n turned her head, seeing the first boy come at her with a small pocket knife, his swings sloppy and clearly just aiming for her face, she dodged and landed a punch across his face, clean hard, and fast.
Billy Fucking Hargrove had come from no where to help, finished with his cigarette, and grabbed him pulling him away from her and beating him up. Heather had grabbed someone's metal fork from their tray in silence and rushed at Y/n, getting her in the upper shoulder with it piercing the flesh deeply. That would injure Y/n enough to teach her a lesson.
Yet Y/n pulled the fork from her shoulder and threw it aside shocking the girl as Y/n grabbed her by the front of her shirt and dragged her to a table, kicking her knees in and pushing her head to the table flat.
"Steve." Y/n spoke looking up at him, he was right there, "Top pocket of my bag, a little white box."
He looked at her in shock, "Steve!"
"yeah! yeah!"
He did as ordered and quickly tossed her the box she used her teeth to open the box, the box was a little shaker box, filled with sharp pins they'd use on maps in class. The girl squirm as Y/n grabbed her by the face, opening her mouth forcefully.
"I don't mind losing a few of these," Y/n told shaking the box a sharp pin barely hanging on as the girl started to cry, "You know this hurts, yeah it hurts real bad. I know It's happened to me before,"
"P.Please!" The girl gargled, her mouth still forced open.
"I let you walk away if what!?" Y/n argued, "What did I promise!"
The girl looked at Steve, "I'm sorry."
"What?" Y/n asked shaking the box, "I can't hear you!"
"I'm sorry! Please!" She begged, "I won't do it again! Ever! Please!"
"Not loud enough!" Y/n argued.
"Y/n that's enough!" Steve argued Heather crying.
"I Said louder!" Y/n demanded shaking the box as a few fell from the edge.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Please! Please!" She cried louder looking at Steve, Y/n catching the pins before they fell into the girl's mouth letting the girl fall onto the floor.
The whole cafeteria was cheering: the biggest bullies were completely destroyed, Billy grabbed your jacket, and Steve threw you your bag as you and Billy rushed out of there before the teachers came around.
Eddie basically being your hype man after you ran: "And Y/n Castligone wins by a not so shocking 50 points!"
That just causes more cheering.
And Billy drove you home
Luckily no one was home and you were able to take a shower while Billy sat in your room
Afterward, he helps in bandaging those stab marks from that fork
That's the first time he sees your back up so close.
He's seen plenty of girls naked before yeah, but your back is different
It's covered in old scars that had faded and blended in with your skin
He wants to ask about them so bad: but if what he thinks is true, he can't help you as much as he thinks, he's in the same situation
and he knows asking is a touchy subject
But Billy ends up staring anyways
"New York's hard on the body." Y/n responded finishing covering the fork stab wounds, "Thanks."
He's quiet as he watches Y/n put a bra on, back still to him, and then a shirt.
"You said you'd call me," Billy argued.
"Call you?" Y/n asked, "about what?"
"You know what!" He shouted, shocking Y/n, "I can't believe I actually fucking cared!"
"I don't even understand what your talking about!" Y/n argued back.
"So those scars just appear right!?"
Y/n looked at him like he was stupid, he had no idea what he was talking about: "You don't know what you're talking about." Y/n argued.
"Oh? I don't?" Billy argued, red in the face: He seemed to hurt more than anything, "fucking try me because I understand how it is to be beat for every small fucking detail out of place."
"What?" Y/n asked, this was news to her, and his anger dropped: she was genuinely confused, isn't this what they had slowly been hinting at each other this whole time?
"Hargrove."
He went to walk away but she grabbed his wrist, "Billy. Sit. please."
You had never come clean to anyone, about you and Frank's work, you swore him to secrecy, with a pinky swear and he thought you were fucking stupid
So you told him about it all: Your time in New York: everything to fighting with Frank against Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, to meeting the literal God of Thunder, from Daredevil to ghost rider, and ghost rider to bruce banner, you laid it all on the floor for him: you even told him about Pietro
You make him too vulnerable and he tells you about his dad: but also swears you to secrecy and to your demise, you promise, and he tells you everything and you actually listen which makes it that much easier for Billy to just throw it all out.
You guys just become that much closer, and he gets a well-deserved bear hug.
"Maybe I'll take you away to New York one day," Y/n spoke softly, holding Billy tight.
Yeah he'd like that.
A phone call interrupts the two of them, Y/n going to pick it up.
"God finally," Steve spoke on the other end, "You okay?"
Y/n smiled small, "I'm good yeah, nice shower and everything."
"Maybe best to lay low for the rest of the day," Steve spoke, " Everyones been keeping it to themselves, what happened at lunch. Think those girls got too scared to say anything."
"Well let's hope they don't bother anyone anymore," Y/n responded.
"Y...yeah..." Steve nervously released, "Say...Uh thanks, I don't think anyone really ever stuck up for me, ya know?- it's not like people call me names all that much-"
"It's fine," Y/n responded, "Let's just say I don't like bullies at all..."
Steve chuckled, "Yeah I can see that...but uh, you know, as a thanks...my dad has this dinner happening: with some people from work, did you wanna...I don't know come along?"
"A...party?"
"No, large dinner." Steve corrected quickly holding his breath on the other end.
"A party would have been a deal breaker," Y/n chuckled, "But uh I'm free, when is it?"
"Sunday starts at 5:30."
"Yeah, I'll run it by my dad then."
"Cool.Cool. I've gotta run."
"Mhm."
You bet he's screaming like a little girl, and Dustin's there too, he had to be there.
"It's a good day Henderson!!" Steve cheered, "Icecreams on me! Go get you, little shitheads!"

And you back to sitting with Billy till Frank comes home, and he sees you two playing the game of life.
"This is Bullshit!"Billy protested.
"What?" Y/n laughed.
"You took the kids and the fucking car! My game piece doesn't even stand up! by itself!"
A whistle steals her attention, "Hey dad." Y/n smiled looking over at him in the doorway, "Sorry I didn't call you, Hargrove me home."
"It's. Fine." Frank spoke, "we got dinner on Sunday, at five."
"Uh..." Y/n spoke, "With the Harringtons?"
"How'd you know?"
"I know their son..." Y/n spoke moving her pieces, "I need 500 Hargrove."
"For what!?"
"Child support."
"Bullshit."
Y/n looked back at Frank as Billy counted the fake money, "Is that all?" Y/n asked.
"Your friends sent you another box."
"What? really!?" Y/n asked with a smile getting up and disturbing the game: thank God was Billy's thought.
You could care about the game now and grabbed the box from its position by the door thanking Frank before going back into the room using her foot to close the door.
Since Billy knows about your past and the whole Punisher's daughter thing, you allow him to stay for the weird shit that's being sent to you
This one's weirder than the last one, and in the Letters, Matt even apologizes for the weird shit that's gonna be in the box
There are some photos, and you show Billy who's who: But don't reveal any identities, he sees that you're happy talking about them
"Family dinner must be fun." Billy joked.
Y/n laughed, "Yeah, Sunday dinner is really fun."
A small smile painted his face, messing with a small stone sent to her by Thor, it was from Asgard apparently and highly valuable.
"Just like this week's Sunday dinner." Billy teased, "I can see it now, City bird becomes Harrington."
Y/n rolled her eyes and laughed, "Oh please. Not gonna be a Harrington if I'm blowing this joint with a Hargrove after graduation now am I?"
He let out a chuckle, setting the stone back in its velvet bag.
"Throw a punch at Harrington for me?" Billy asked Y/n smiling.
"Just for you."
"Yeah?" Billy asked with a smile, his teeth grazing his bottom lip just the slightest.
"yeah."
And that was his cue to leave, he say his goodbye to you before leaving
Turns out he has to go to that stupid dinner too, so he could punch Harrington himself
and when he tells you, you laugh in his face, and now you're running from him
Apparently, Mr.Harrington had become friends with one of his security guards during the night shifts, and Frank was always doing Extra hours during night construction on a new building for the company
That's how this happened
You told Steve about it: wow small town

And Nancy was talking to you about it during a class you shared, Apparently, her dad was high up and worked under Mr.Harrington too, she was complaining about going to you
but then figured out your going
And says she has to take you shopping: she just has to, because she doesn't have something to wear and wanted to get to know you better now that "Steve wasn't dragging her everywhere."
She says she'll pick you up Saturday, but if you have to go you say you'll just have your dad drop you off downtown and she agrees
You are not excited to go shopping you know you're gonna be dragged into some girly store.
You ask Frank about it at Dinner and he almost laughs: you're asking him to drop you off to go DRESS shopping, not just shopping, DRESS shopping
"Oh you're serious," Frank spoke.
"Yeah..." Y/n spoke, "unfortunately"
because that's what you want he takes you
When the weekly calls come in even Kate's laughing at you, but you're being serious: "What? What happened to pants gang?" was her response
She was right: you can't break the pants pact "Wear red," matt called from the background.
"Wear purple," Kate called.
"Purples gross."
"Oh sure, because you can totally tell Matt."
You miss the old bickering with the group
but soon the call ends because peter's gotta go save the city
you miss getting those calls to go and help
but you can't let it get you down,
So when Saturday comes along and you're dragging yourself to downtown, nancy is already waiting for you on a street corner
She practically drags you through every store, and it's not like it's slow either, she goes through each one thoroughly with you
"Okay, so what are you going to wear?" Nancy asked, "Dress? Or skirt? Maybe something with a belt around the waist? I bet Pinestrip plaid would look great on you!"
"Can I be honest?" Y/n asked Nancy nodding.
"I was just gonna wear jeans and a shirt."
"oh."
"yeah..." "Steve's uh...Mother is pretty-"
"I mean I can get a dress. I don't-"
"No! No! you should be comfortable, maybe we can go look at the business casual pants? You can still get pinstripe plaid if you want!"
"Yeah, that sounds good."
So maybe Nancy Wheeler wasn't as big of an ass as you had first thought
Though through the whole day you were downtown you had picked out just a pair of fitted pants that were black and flared at the bottom slightly, and a sleeveless turtle neck from the thrift store, Nancy still was having trouble finding the perfect shoes
"I just bought loafers from the thrift store. See there pretty good shape." Y/n defended.
"I can't wear loafers!"
"Okay. Let's calm down." Y/n spoke, "What color are you looking for."
Somehow you manage to calm Nancy down and find some damn heels for her.
She drives you home after getting some ice cream for on the way home.
"So you and Hargrove?" Nancy asked.
"Me and Billy? What about it?" Y/n questioned, as Nancy looked over at her.
"Come on," Nancy spoke.
"What?" Y/n asked again.
"Nothing, never mind." Nancy spoke, "You're both just close then?"
Y/n nodded, "Must be a city kid thing." "Yeah..."
Nancy wasn't convinced, but you were
She dropped you off and waved goodbye as she watched you go inside before pulling off.
"What you buy a whole damn store and work in it?" Frank ask, he was making dinner as she walked in.
"I bought three things."
"After," He looked at the clock, "What? seven hours?"
"Nancy couldn't find heels," Y/n responded.
"Now were the heels for you? or her?" Frank poked at her.
"I stuck to the guns, and got pants, even bought a pair of loafers."
Frank chuckled eating a slice of the vegetable he was cutting.
"Thatta girl," He praised and went back to cooking.
Y/n smiled and went to put her stuff down.
She'd help with Dinner after washing her hands, and then they'd eat together, bs-ing about the week
The main topic was tomorrow's dinner, they laughed at each other: neither were "people" people, they had their close-knit group and that'd be all, but they knew that: and it was yet another thing they had in common
Somewhere during dinner, a deck of Uno cards found its way between them during dinner, they played late into the night there half eaten food getting cold as + four cards continued to be stacked until 16 cards were drawn on Y/n's end.
That was straight of slaughter.
You went to bed after Frank's glorious win
You thought you'd be able to sleep in on a Sunday, but someone was knocking on your window at the crack of dawn.
"Nanc?" Y/n asked, "What the hell are you doin' here?"
"Help me in." She spoke Y/n sighing and taking Nancy's bag from her tossing it on the bed, then pulling Nancy herself inside the room.
"I was thinking I could help you get-"
It was too late, Y/n had already laid herself back in bed, "Gimmie another three hours."
"What? No- also your room looks just like my brothers. A mess."
Y/n shrugged, "that's fine by me."
"Come get up I wanna help you get ready!"
Y/n sighed as she sat up, "Go at it, Nancy-"
"Well, I'm not giving you a shower! come on get up!"
So Nancy drags you to get up and into the shower, she also tells you to wash your hair so she can help you do that too
"What's that."
"Makeup."
"What?"
"Don't worry, I'm not putting glitter on your face," Nancy spoke, "or pink."
"Oh."
She sticks true to her word and keeps it simple, some chapstick: which you thought was lipstick, and some black eyeshadow blended out
She had you get dressed afterward, you but you look "too plain" in her words, you're sleeveless turtle necks black and so are your pants, your loafers black as well.
"You look like you're going to a funeral." Nancy spoke, "Do you have a leather jacket? Or maybe a different colored turtle neck?"
"I have a dark purple turtle neck,"
"Yeah put that on!"
Y/n did as told, careful to watch her face as she changed it out for a purple long sleeve turtle neck.
"That's better." Nancy spoke, and went into her bag, "i brought this from home, it's originally a belt but I think it'd work as a chain too."
Nancy clipped both sides to the belt loops, leaving one loop in between.
"There!" she smiled, showing Y/n her tiny pocket Mirror, "All ready for dinner! Do you mind if I do my make-up here? I'd love to-"
"Y/n?" Frank knocked on the door
"Go," Y/n whispered. "One-minute dad!"
"What?"
"Go out the window." Y/n demanded, "Hurry."
Nancy quickly slid her bag under the bed and Y/n helped her out the window and closed it.
Y/n hurried to the door, opening it, "yeah?"
"You're up?" he spoke, but was more of questioning it, Y/n could easily sleep in till 2pm if she desired.
"Yeah," Y/n responded.
Y/n reached his hand out and she closed her eye as he wiped beside her eyelid.
"Is that makeup?" He asked looking at the black smudge on his finger.
"Yeah. is that okay?" Y/n questioned.
"yeah, yeah," Frank spoke, wiping his hand on his black pants, "You look..."
Y/n raised an eyebrow, "Bad I presume?"
"No. No," he spoke, unable to find the right word.
A smile fell onto Y/n's lips: "if it's leaving you this speechless, I can proudly say I had a good dad to raise me."
He laughed kissing her forehead, "Don't take another three hours."
"Copy that."
Y/n closed her door with a smile, and walked back to the window to see Nancy waiting, "Did you park out on the street?"
"Yeah. I can't drive on that road," she spoke.
"You can come back in."
Nancy and you spend the next hours talking as she does her makeup and she puts a product in your hair as well as her own.
And she then climbed back out your window to go get dressed at her house, just in time too because Frank knocks
"You're cuttin' it, close kid. we gotta go"
"Me? I'm waiting for you old man."
He can only laugh, "yeah well we're gonna make it just on time if you'd walk a little faster."
""Oh? I'm too slow for the old man?"
You both left, and Frank had you carry a pie he made, since when did he bake?
"You never make me a pie." Y/n protested.
"You never ask." He spoke up.
"Since when did you learn how to bake."
"I'm Italian, It's a natural skill," Frank spoke with a laugh.
"You're Italian?" Y/n asked.
"Do you ever listen to anything I ever tell you, kid?"
Y/n shrugged, "I just always thought you were 100 percent dumb ass."
He looked over at her giving her a "really?" look as she laughed, he chuckling along with her shaking his head at her, "Watch it in front of these guys."
"You got it."
Dinner would be easy: you just wouldn't talk: this would be easy
You guys got there, and Mrs.Harrington opened the door, welcoming them both in.
"And you must be Mr.Castilgone?"
"Frank is fine Ma'm."
This was gonna be annoying in full honesty, she didn't even acknowledge you besides an up and down glance and a face of what looked like disgust.
the house was uh, "modern" basic with no charm, and no warmth.
"Steve come down we have guests come and greet them!"
Steve was quick to fly down the stairs, stopping mid-way, spotting y/n at the bottom of the steps.
"hey Harrington..." Y/n smiled waving to him shortly.
"My son has a name-" This was already going bad.
"Mom it's fine." Steve stopped her, walking himself down the rest of the steps, "Hey. You...Uh. You look great!"
"Thanks." Y/n smiled, "Not too bad yourself."
He smiled, "Uh, Harrington- Steve, Steve this is my dad, Frank. Dad, Steve."
Steve thought you were scary at first glance, but Frank? Damn. DAMN, he was terrified to just shake his hand; yet did it anyways, he saw where you got your strength from
Luckily Mr.Harrington breaks up the awkwardness happy to see Frank and to finally meet you: he surprisingly was a sweet man who would have preferred you dress "traditionally", but that wasn't his comment to make, and kept it to himself
You were taken into a living room while Mrs. Harrington went back to making food in the kitchen
Do you think it was a bit of a shock you didn't go to the kitchen with Mrs. Harrington? No. Did Mrs. and Mr. Harrington? Yes: Mr.Harrington kept his opinion to himself, but Mrs.Harrington seemed to be angrier than an old man catching kids stealing from his lemon tree, Y/n could feel the anger: and cursed Matt for training in improving her senses
"I. Uh. Got some new music from..the uh. store." Steve spoke nervously, trying to make small talk with her as they sat on the couch alone, Frank and his dad talking about work as Steve's dad poured them two whiskies.
"Nice," Y/n spoke looking around, so...bland...
"You look really pretty." Steve spilled out, his palms sweaty.
Y/n nodded, "Thanks. Wish I could say you look good, but you've cleaned up better for school."
"Ouch." He laughed, Y/n laughing with him, "Maybe I take that compliment back."
Y/n smiled, "You're very much welcome too."
Steve laughed, his fingers running over his palm as he looked at his hand, "I don't think I can, it'd be-"
The doorbell rang and Steve mentally gut punched himself, his mom answering it as the hall was filled with happy hellos.
In came, the one the only Hargrove-Mayfield family.
Both Steve and Y/n stood up. Steve found it odd the way Billy eyed at Y/n, also in a "watch it" tone as Y/n went for the juggler. Billy's Father, Neil Hargrove.
"Hi, Mr.Hargove!" Y/n smiled his hand extending as Y/n grasped it: it was a firm handshake, but Y/n squeezed, hard. "I'm Y/n, Y/n Castilgone, Frank's daughter, I know Billy from school, he's really sweet, drives me home all the time."
"My Billy? No." Neil laughed.
Y/n gave a puzzling look, "oh but yes Mr.Hargrove, he always makes sure I'm very safe, it's dangerous out there for a lady like me. Isn't it?"
She was buttering Billy up, "In New York, I am always worried about the danger, he keeps me very safe. You'd always have to watch your six everywhere you go."

"Nice to know he's finally got some sense in that head of his," Neil spoke with a smile, Y/n releasing his now red hand.
With the end of that Y/n met the rest of the Family Susan was sweet. And Max seems to like you

Billy stood between you and Steve and leaned over to speak to you, he seemed mad, but when you leaned back to whisper in his ears his shoulders seemed to fall a bit like you had helped him relax

"Ms.Castiglione." Mrs.Harrington spoke up from down the table, "You will say grace for us? You've been so quiet."
Grace? Uh okay. Okay what would Matt do?
"Um. Sure."
Y/n glanced between Steve and Billy they had no idea how to help her, everyone grabbing hands and looking down.
"What do I do!?" Y/n mouthed to Frank silently, he was just as loss, he knew Mr.Hargove knew Frank didn't exactly raise the you with religion set in place.
Plus it was gross seeing Mrs.Wheeler seem so turned on by Frank's hand simple holding hers. EW
"Uh...Hi God...jesus...who ever's up there. Just wanna say thank you for the good food and all. Wish you were here? Bet you enjoy it....Oh and P.S. I have a friend named Matt in New York. Tell him I said Hi. Keep not only New York safe, but Hawkins too. Thanks."
Mrs.Harrington was LIVID and you could feel Neil glaring daggers at you, but before she said anything Mr.Harrington spoke up with a loud Amen, the others following behind him.
"Was that alright?" Y/n whispered to the two boys.
"You want the truth?" Steve asked under his breath.
"Well yeah."
"Absolute shit." Billy laid out quietly, "You're rep with the adults. Fucked."
"I can fix it." Y/n defended quietly.
"Good luck." Steve spoke.
Luckily Mike and Max were the ones able to fish you out of your akward hole.
"So you're from New York?" Mike asked.
"Micheal." His mother scolded
Y/n nodded, "Born and raised."
Mike didn't listen: "Do you know any superheros?"
"Superheros? Mhm a few." Y/n spoke.
"Wait. Seriously?" Max spoke up, "Who?"
"Who's your favorite?"
"Black Widow!"
"Black Widow?" Mike Argued, "Thor's a god. He's the best."
"She didn't ask for the best, she asked for our favorite."
Y/n smiled, "I know both of them."
"Really?" The two kids asked happily.
"Did you fight with them? Are you a side kick?" Mike asked.
"Micheal. Be quiet." Mrs.Wheeler scolded, Mike growing quiet.
Y/n looked at Max, "Natasha and I know each other well."
"Are you a widow too?'
Y/n shook her head, "No. Im not. But. I will say she stays in contact with me."
"What about Thor?" Max asked, she knew Mike wanted to hear it, Y/n leaned in closer and so did Max.
"I helped him in a grocery store. Don't tell him. It brusies his pride. Unlike thor though, Deadpool? You know him?"
The two nodded, "He'll go out straight stand on a table if he has to and scream it. He's very theratical."
She laughed and Mike tried to contain his laughter.
"And is this why you don't know how to say Grace?" Mrs.Harrington spoke up.
"Mom." Steve scolded.
"Yes Ma'm. It's hard to study such Hero's without a fully opened Mind. Most come from very harsh backgrounds. Its a completely clean slate that you have to study them from." Y/n smiled.
Okay. That seemed to settle waters with Neil but not with either of the mothers,
Dinner was alright: Mrs.Harrington wasnt a great cook it was so bland considering the food you've tasted from New York.
Dinner kinda goes smoothly from there, talking amongst themselves and Frank kept looking at you like he felt bad but you would only roll your eyes drinking from your glass ,and spin your hidden finger signally insanity
The first time you did it he almost spits up his drink in laughter but managed to contain it.
"Mommy," Holly spoke up, she had still been staring at Y/n this whole time.
"Yes Holly?"
"That's the pretty girl from the store. Remember."
You froze, almost two months ago, two months since they've been in Hawkins, Holly had remembered you...if she had said that....that means it was Mrs.Wheeler who had called you basically ugly.
It's just one after another that punches keep being thrown
"If I may." Y/n spoke up, "Mrs. Harrington."
Mrs. Harrington looked up from her food, "what?"
"I'd be so appreciative if I could use your bathroom." Y/n responded, "Please Ma'm."
"Upstairs down the hall on your right."
And you leave.
Franks just about had it with this shit. He tried, You both tried. Very hard to seem like...perfect little people
But you're just not. You're not and It weighs on both of you
But there borderline bullying you now with their side glances of disappointment and scoffs as you talk about something you're so genuinely interested in
But in a way your different he's so use to it- So used to taking the shit, and he's always taught you You don't put up with it.
Before he gets to the punch Steve gets it out of all people hearing an under-the-breath comment about you being a dyke
"Alright. I'm done." Steve spoke up, pushing his plate forward.
"Steve have some Manners." His mom ordered.
"You know what? How. How am I going to have manners when you clearly don't have any?" Steve argued, "You've done nothing. Nothing but attack. You know that?"
"What are you talking about-"
"Mom! Be serious!" Steve argued, "Y/n's done nothing to hurt you. She's been nice and sweet this entire time! She brought a damn pie!"
"Watch your mouth when talking to your mother Steve." His father demanded.
"No swearing fine!" Steve agreed, just to go back at his mother: "What did she do?"
"Steve I-"
"What did she do?" Steve asked again.
"She didn't do anything."
"So what I'm getting at is that. Because she wears what she's comfortable in. She's a dyke?" Steve argued, "It's okay to call her dyke because she's being herself."
"It is not my fault that, that girl needs a lobotomy-"
"Alright." Frank spoke standing up grabbing his Jacket.
"Frank!" Mr.Harrington called, "Let's sit down. Let's all calm down."
"You want me to calm down?" Frank asked, "I've put up with this bullshit all through this dinner, now I've taken bigger shits than this in the damn war. I've taught my little girl no one talks to her this way, not behind her back not to her face. And that makes me a pretty bad father for making her sit through this shit. Doesn't it?"
"Frank-"
"Now if I hear you little wife talkin' about my girl again. I don't care if it's in praise or in a slur. If my little girl's name ever comes out of your wife's mouth, it bein' a rumor she talked or not. I will be putting your wife in the hospital." Frank threatened, "Do you understand?"
"Frank I understand you're angry-"
"I said DO YOU UNDERSTAND!" Frank shouted, classic army shouting, ordering you inline, it caused the whole table to straighten their posture in fear.
"Yes sir." Mr.Harrington spoke quietly.
Frank nodded, looking back and seeing Steve looking at him, "You got a good kid Harrington." Frank complimented before walking out of the dining room.
Y/n was coming down the steps, "We're leaving."
Y/n only nodded and followed Frank out the door. It slammed behind them on the way out causing them all to flinch.
"God..." Steve spoke under his breath, "God fucking damn it!"
He hit the table pushing himself out of his seat leaving the dinning room.

Two months later
Since that night Cutie and Geordi either texted or called every night. Eventually Geordi moved back in with them, and for the first time in a while, it wasn’t silent. They still never asked to enter his mind, but not because they were over stepping that boubndry, but because they still didn’t trust themselves. If they did it once what was stoping them from doing it again. They couldn’t hurt Geordi like that, not again.
“Hey,” Geordi’s voice was soft, “Penny for your thoughts?” He gave them a half smile as he set their breakfast down in front of them.
They just shook their head, “No- nothing. It’s nothing.” They picked up their fork and started eating.
“Hey, Cutie…” Geordi also picked up his fork but didn’t start eating yet.
“Hm?” They hummed with mouth full of eggs.
“I- I’m not saying it’s something you have to do… not if you don’t want to… but I’ve just noticed that… you haven’t asked to you know-” He couldn’t even get the full thing out before Cutie almost choked before swallowing their eggs.
“I haven’t. I haven’t read your mind. I haven’t gone in there. I- I’m better I swear. I wouldn’t do that to you.” Panic filled their voice.
“No, no,no that-. I didn’t think that you did. You say you’re better and I believe you, it’s just… you haven’t even asked to… and… i guess its just… I kinda miss it.” He shrugged. “Do you think you want-”
“No.” They replied sharply without looking at him.
“That-... that was fast… is… is everything okay?” He was taken aback from how quickly they shut him down.
“Im fine.” a short respond with the same sharp tone.
“Cutie, I don’t mean to pry, and seriously if its something you really don’t want to talk about I’ll back off. But, I know you my love. I can see something is wrong. I’m still Geordi, you’re still my Cutie. The only thing thats changed is you’re getting help. You can still talk to me. Trust me. Like I trust you.: His eyes were full of concern, with love, with adoration.
“I-.. I do trust you Geordi…” The tossed their eggs around their plate with their fork.
“But-... There’s a but in there isn’t there?” Geordi layed his hand ontop of theirs.
“I don’t… I don’t trust… I don’t trust myself.” They looked up at him with sad eyes. “I’m scared Geordi. I’m scared if I’m allowed in once, I’m going to fall right back into that shitty person I was. The one who didn’t respect your boundaries, the one you felt necessary to compare to so shitty ex. I’m scared I’m going to hurt you again.” Their eyes began to water, they tried to bat away any stray tears, but Geordi took both of their hands in his.
“Look at me. Cutie, look. Recovery is a slow and strenuous process, I know it may feel exhausting, sometimes you’ll fall backwards and it may feel like you aren’t making any progress at all. But hear me when I say this, as an outside perspective, not as you, not as your lover, not as your boyfriend, as just Geordi, you have come so far. And it touches me to hear you say that the reason you haven’t is because you don’t want to hurt me, thats sweet, it is. But Cutie, you can’t trade one extreme for another. I like it when you talk to me in my head, its fun, it feels intimate, all I ask is that you ask before you do, and if I ask for some time, then give me a little time.” Cutie was nodding their head the whole time he spoke. “Now, do you think you would maybe want to…”
“I-.. N-... uh…” Cutie struggled they did, they really did, but like… one talk isn’t going to make those thoughts go away.
“It’s okay to say no. But just know that right now, in this moment, I want you in. I want you to listen.” He looked deep into their eyes. Cutie felt themselves nod their head. “Okay. well, youre more than welcome.”
Cutie entered his mind. Cute, so cute. They care, they’ve changed. Change, good, good change. Beautiful eyes. Can they hear? Can you hear? Are you listening? Cutie nodded their head. Good. good. Smile, cute smile, I love that smile, I love you. Never leaving. I won’t leave. I love you. Cutie chuckled “Geordi”
My name. Sounds sweet. I like when you say my name. “Yes?” whats up baby? What do you need? What can I do. Smile, keep that smile. Love that smile.
“Go eat your breakfast you dork.” They laughed
Laughing, cute laugh. Sounds like music. Like angels, I love that laugh, I love that smile I love you. “Right.” He got up and went back to his seat to eat. I’m so lucky, I love you. Look at me, let me see your eyes. Beautiful eyes, gorgeous eyes, I could get lost in those eyes. Hey don’t roll them at me. You know what? Just for that…

With that the door bell rang.
I’ll get it! Geordi ran to the door before Cutie could even get up. They heard the door open Who? Familiar. They look familiar. Name… damn it why am I so bad with names “uhm… hello.”
“Hey! Cutie here?” A familiar voice rang out.
They got up from the table and went to the door, wrapping their arms around Geordi, “Hey Stealth, Hi Milo.” They waved to the slightly smaller male behind their friend. He was taller than Cutie, almost Geordi’s height but Stealth was a giant so they made everyone look small. He didn’t respond to the greeting.
“Milo, be nice. S’ry He’s a lill grumpy cause I made Him come. If we had it his way, we’d been layin’ in bed all morn’.” They waved their boyfriend’s pouty mood off.
Tall, scary, why does that man look so mad, should I let them in? I should let them in. Don’t be rude Geordi of course you should. “W-well, come in no need to uh, no need to stand out in the open. Un-unless you want to.” Geordi said nervously. He had met Stealth before, not Milo though, yet he was still intimidated by Stealths height. Shit, we didn’t clean. We haven’t even finished breakfast. Did you invite them? Why are they here? We didn’t have any time.
“Sorry about the mess, um. We weren’t really expecting you. Glad to see you though.” Cutie smiled at their friend.
You didn’t invite them? What kind of person invites themselves over?
My best friend kind. Geordi be nice.
Sorry.
“Oh it’s not a big deal to us. If you’d like we could leave and come back when ya’llfeel like you’ve cleaned up the place. Although, it looks super clean already. Well compared to how you had it when-” Stealth began to share too much information.
Cutie cleared their throat throwing them a ‘shut the hell up’ look. “No you don’t have to leave. It’s fine. Why’d you come over anyways.” They asked.
Compared to what? Why’d you stop them? What are you hiding you menace? Was it when I was at my sisters?
Shut up Geordi
“Oh honestly we-” Milo cleared His throat, “I- wanted to see ya’ll. Sorry bout Milo, he’s not usually this grumpy. He’s normally a super sweet guy.” They gave him a side glare.
“Not anything against you, you are a great person Cutie.I was just told we were going to the store and going back home. Sorry if it seems I don’t want to be around you.” He apologized.
“It’s okay Milo. Well while youre here you guys want a drink or anything? Wanna play mario cart or something?” At Cuties offer Milo’s eyes lit up.
“Oh hell yeah. I’d love to.”
They all sat on the couch and played marrio cart

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed glitching. It’s a bit embarrassing to say, but I barely interacted with it in any way that you could see because the format made me feel guilty about reading whump in a way that I hadn’t felt in a long time. That’s a compliment to your writing! Glitching was about being an accomplice and moral choices and I got caught up in it that I stopped participating in the polls after a few posts. I really liked it though.
Since you couldn’t see the likes that I very much wanted to give the series, I’m sending my thanks directly. You are really good at writing, and your specific style is one of my favorites on this site. Your writing is just brutal in a way that a lot of whump writing isn’t, and your characters are extremely compelling/whumpable. I can’t describe exactly what I love about it, but I do love it. You also made glitching really quickly, which is impressive. I’m still in awe of how you made all the different endings for the finale. That must have taken forever.
Was Glitching always going to end the way it did? If the audience had voted to kill Seth at the earliest opportunity, would that have happened? Are there any other pathways that you had planned out that we didn’t get to see? Basically, I loved Glitching and I want to hear all the behind the scenes details that you are willing to share.

this is honestly.... mostly all i wanted to achieve w glitching. (my first objective was to create a whump cyoa story where the options were all bad, bc in all the other ones ppl kept picking the good ones and i was like :| but my whump..? no whump..?) several times i felt like maybe the second person pov is too much and its too real and itll turn everyone off... but then i thought. thats. kind of what i want. i want it to feel a little gross even if its fiction. i wanted to make ppl feel conflicted.
so please dont feel bad about not interacting! i understand how it could feel rly bad and guilt-inducing. im glad u made the decision to stop interacting when u did, its NOT embarrassing in the slightest. this message means a whole lot either way.
hehehehehe im GLAD theyre brutal! thats very much the style i wanna be known for lol and the style i enjoy! i want stuff to be gruesome and disgusting! i want it to be brutal and unforgiving! i want violence! i want gore! and also thank u, im glad my characters r whumpable. especially w glitching, i saw that when other ppl put their cute ocs in situations no one wanted to hurt them, so i was like ok whos my most vile most hated most disgusting oc whom everyone would Love to see be punched in the face- in general i love making my ocs whumpable and pitiful. i love a pitiful little guy
i stopped writing glitching when my exams started at college, and iced it after maybe chapter 8 or 9. then i picked it back up again after i got a 20th message in my inbox abt how ppl miss it, and it successfully forced my hand to finally sit down and just Write. (i do have to be forced to write a lot of the times. it doesnt work for everyone, but it does for me. obviously i can never get in the zone if i dont even open the document yknow. thats why i write a lot of shitty drabbles! it keeps up momentum!) and then i just kept writing. and writing. and writing. trying to get a chapter out every day because i knew what i wanted to do and i wanted to finish it. when it comes to the finale, iiiii decided i wanted to do that whole thing literally 2 days beforehand. my friend told me "wow these options r all good" and i said "i know i kinda wanna see all of them too". and the idea was born. the seed was planted. the bug was in my fucken ear.
so the next morning i checked the poll on chapter 13, and saw that of course the option to keep seth alive was winning by far. so i wrote that in advance. then i started writing out the endings for the finale. i managed to get maybe 3 of them done. then the next day i finished the other 6, tweaked the earlier ones, all that. i uploaded them all, posted everything privately, fiddled forever w the links (which i knew were likely gonna break anyway-) and THEN WHEN THE TIME CAME I WANTED TO MAKE ONE LAST EDIT AND ACCIDENTALLY POSTED IT. so i had to unprivate everything in a fucking frenzy like OH MY GOD PPL WONT UNDERSTAND I RUINED IT I RUINED EVERYTHING. but anyway yes it took me like 2 days of writing and editing but the response was soooooo worth it. ppl were so so so kind to me. it was honestly amazing.
one thing abt me, i started planning my stories At All in the last few months. before that, Nothing. and especially w smth like glitching, where the audience's decision influences the next chapter and i cant plan ahead, i didnt even bother. whatever the audience chose was always gonna happen. if they chose to exit the stream on the very first poll, i wouldve ended it. im serious. i thought abt pulling "you try to exit but it doesnt work" but then i was like. no. ppl can have one (1) chance to turn their heads away if they want, as a treat. i wouldve written a chapter about the debilitating guilt and lifelong "what if" feeling, and that wouldve been it. as for the earlier murder options, yes! i wouldve gone thru w it at any time. starting from maybe the 6th chapter (or whenever i brought in the murder option) the audience held the power to end the stream and seth's suffering. they chose not to. but they couldve.
one option that i wanted that never got chosen was the baseball bat. im obsessed w beating someone to the point of broken bones w a baseball bat. so when the ending was getting nearer and nearer, i thought about simply disregarding the last poll and writing a single chapter where the host goes "i respected the choices u made up until now, but this time, im making the decision". but i was like. no fuck that. this is an interactive story all about being able to choose ur own decisions. i just asked the audience to supply me w puppy seth commands, citing how it was interactive. i couldnt just go and ignore that two chapters later, yknow? plus as u said it kind of all hinged on the feeling of "i did this. im responsible". so if i took that responsibility away in the last second IN THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION OF ALL it wouldnt have been good enough
most of the time i just kept giving the options i really wanted to write, and eventually, ppl picked them. it was a good story in the sense that the order didnt matter too much. i could give the same options, and the host was still able to carry them all out.
some more behind the scenes- i thought about revealing the host's identity multiple times. i thought about making them someone the audience already knew (like ren, my friend's oc who greatly inspired the character from the very first chapter), or someone who couldve been vaguely familiar but unknown (a former friend of pumpkin?), but in the end i just settled on the mystery. especially since i decided to give it a paranormal twist. i couldve NEVER made a better reveal than the mystery itself. never ever. some things dont have to be revealed.
but yeah! thats that. i rly enjoyed glitching, i loved the response i got (it was by far the most popular story ive ever posted on here w the most tags and comments and asks), and i loved how i managed to do the finale. it was concise, i can say i finished another story, and its just all around a great time. thank u so much for ur message !!!

WWDITS RANT <3
Ok i just finished watching the WWDITS season finale and It made me laugh so much but also some of it was shitty and i feel like sharing to the class.
So most insane things first I have no idea why Guillermo decided not to be a vampire. It is even explicitly shown how great he feels after drinking human blood like he is ready??? and then suddenly its like a switch flipped and he has a problem killing a human. He has never really gave a shit about that for FIVE FUCKING SEASONS. He is even like yeah i know i dismembered a shitton of body and lured people to their deaths and killed a shitton of vampires (who tbh he can definitely empathize with like humans as he has been involved with them for years) (OVER 10 YEARS) but i cant suck this guys throat owo. Like he has devoted his entire life to this for a decade and all of a sudden he backs out? I'm not saying this isn't just weird bad writing but the lamp nandor pulled out was the big one which he knows has no wishes left. I think its possible either nandor wished that Guillermo wanted to be human OR Guillermo purposely got himself turned back into a human so Nandor could be the one to turn him. Like he had everything set up with the necromancer to undead Derick pretty quickly...... idk im just saying. Also It feels like nothing has changed. I wish Nandor would have helped him with dericks body or something. Just to show that Guillermo is accepted a little more. I know you guys will debate me on this but its the little things like that that make you really feel part of the group. Lazlo came in clutch as always though I love him so much he really is one of my comfort characters of all time. (I even think that if my theory ends up being the case that Lazlo knew about Guillermo's plan cause that would definitely go along with the theme of Lazlo and Guillermo hiding stuff from the others throughout the season) But yea. Weird ending with Guillermo and im gonna be PISSED if there isnt a seriously good explanation for that.
Next: the Guide... Yea WHAT THE FUCK they did her so dirty like no hahah we liked you the whole time haha. Are you for serious. are you joking with me. This could have been a HUGE chance for character growth on the vamps part. They could have realized that yea. healthy relationships need to have mutual respect and both people need to contribute. They could have brought Lazlo's journey with him becoming a bit more human this season full circle. Nandor could have realized that how he has treated Guillermo is not great. He could have been like yea no wonder he got turned by someone other than me. I have been using him to do dirty work for years and stringing him along with the promise that I would eventually turn him which even I convinced myself was true in order to keep things just as how theve always been. I wont kill him because he means more to me than a stupid vampire rule that im only doing because its what is always done. (Like Nandor realized he didn't want to kill Guillermo after a second of seriously thinking about it.) Guillermo could have let him out of that cage and they could have hugged and figured out what to do like the fucking found family they are damn it.
NADJA ......... nadja's whole thing this season was the fact that she treats people like shit and is pretty selfish and she didnt even have a moment where she actually showed change. IM SICK IM DYING IM THROWING UP IN THE STREET.
I realize that them liking the guide the whole time is a funny joke but guys. was it worth it. was it fucking worth it...
For the things I liked lol I really liked Lazlo he is allways slaying his fits were spectacular his matching hair with Nadja is incredible He is a real friend to Guillermo and everything that comes out of his mouth is hilarious.
Im glad the guide got some kind of revenge she deserves it I love her.

So im rereading dive (again) and im curious with yeri and miyeons relationship like its clear yeri treats miyeon like shit but does it ever change? does their relationship still continues as it was before sana confronts yeri or did she finally wake up and decides to treat miyeon better and also be a better alpha/sire for their family?
Im really interested in their relationship and i would love to see you go more in depth about their relationship and family after your done with with the main storyline
Also has yeri ever cheated because the what she said about jihyo made it look like she has done it before but ughhh i just feel so bad for miyeon
unfortunately i doubt that yeri would ever change her ways even after sana's confrontation she's just that dumb of a person she never thinks the problem is really her, she'll continue to be shitty and her kids will just grow up with that knowledge of how horrible she is, it wasn't always clear to others how shitty she is to miyeon, yeri just came off as an asshole in social circles and it was very much an "oh well that sucks" kind of situation but as time went on people could see how disrespectful she is to her wife
she has definitely cheated :( esp when miyeon was pregnant with rei and their newborn she kind of just goes off and does what she wants, and sadly at the end of the day she's a security that miyeon wants in a family so she stays and for the sake of their kids, so even if she ever thought about leaving yeri it would be a lot more complicated than it seems
they're an interesting couple in the background that i never put much thought into but i'm glad people are curious about their relationship, it's admittedly really fun to write such a shitty person lol

okay so for one THE PERCABETH FIGHT SIBDKWBDOWBDOWND I am so fucking angry at Percy even though i totally get why he was so angry. But when he was saying all that shit to annabeth i wanted to just fucking pummel him. I get his anger and hurt and I do feel bad for him but his insults were SO below the belt and with every blow he landed on her I felt like I was physically breaking apart. And the timing was so fucking awful like annabeth just lost her adopted BROTHER, and even though Jason was close to Percy too their relationship is not quite the same. And annabeth hasn't even had the fucking time to deal with all the trauma from Mount othrys and luke and she now has 1000 more things to deal with including the death of one of her closest friends and finding out that luke is now hosting Kronos and Percy being... Well. Like that. And just. Their fucking fight. Oh my god. I feel just a little shitty for being focused soley on annabeths feelings but honestly idc i just want my baby girl to be happy and have the best life ever.
I have SO many more thinsg to say but it's like a have a mindblock and my brain is telling me if I think anymore about this I will shut down.
anyways i am SO looking forward to the next chap bestie, take your time with it because it's possible that I might still be processing all the shit from chap 4 by the time the last chapter comes out lol. well 👁👄👁 there r quite few,,, and the main reason is colouring most of these r comps and i a b s o l u t e l y sucked at comps and esp at making the colouring consistent there lol so lets begin lol 1 (u have no idea how muchi love this set) 2 (i fucking mastered it i wanted to remake it for two years and i finally did!! 60 fps smooth good moments iconic performance iconic hair colour his attitude bruh and ofc the fact that i could do sth with colouring,,,,,, and chose such an unusual colour scheme that i doubted jckdckfdk and it still worked out 🥺) 3 (lol i had this idea written down since 2018 as well and this year i could finally collect all moments i needed and oh boi yeah,,, AND COLOURING I COULD ALMOST yeah almost do sth decent with it there r still couple moments id changed but im pleased) 4 (im so happy whenevr i see this CUZ IT ALL WORKED OUT it was such an impulsive comp i literally only saw couple moments for past few years as well where i could see three of them in one frame and suddenly I WAS LIKE I FUCKING MUST POST THOSE MOMENTS SOMEHOW and im so proud of colouring it looks so well T_T) 5 (the colouring ofc im still :o that i could get rid of that shitty shit dkksjkj AND THE MOMENTS ITSELF?????? AND BLACK SWAN???????? EVERY PERFORMANCE???? HAIR?????? OUTFIT???????? EVRERYHTIGNM???????? HIS FUCKING STARE? FACE??? DONT MAKE ME CONTINUE AAAAAAAAAAA also if im not wrong this set in particular made me start my before/after posts 🥺) 6 (i jujst love everything about it e v e r yt h i n g also i could made ppl believe that jin fr has purple hair here when in reality its brown djhfdhskdf one of blending modes or adjustment layers worked this way lol) 7 (i wont even comment this tried a great tutorial with great beautiful resuls for the first time ever and it worked out so well and i like it so much and the whole yoongi here,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, also love me some borders that add cinematic feels to some gifs or just make them pretty in a dif way just like i did with prev post i mentioned imo lol) OK LAST ONE 8 (I USED A VIDEO OF STARS AND ADDED IT TO THE GIF FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER I FUCKED WITHMASKING FOR 3 HOURS GRRRRRRRR THIS IS SO HUGE FOR ME!!!!! i cant even explain whew IVE NEVER DID ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE SO I WAS REALLY PROUD TOO even tho i fucked masking up on some layers lmao but lets not pay too much attention to it 👀)

i wasnt tagged but i really wanted to do this so here it is!
What was your biggest writing/reading achievement this year?
im glad that im still writing in the first place tbh. ive read more fanfic this year than i have in my entire life for obvious reasons. but im glad i finally wrote an angst piece for the first time in my life. also almond poppy see muffins is my literal child (as well as @enchantedamusedslightlyconfused ‘s, we co-parent)
What did you learn about yourself as a writer/reader this year?
i learned that my reader inserts are more of me inserts and that isnt necessarily a bad thing considering i mostly write for myself, i had just never thought of that. also slightly nsfw but i learned that reading smut makes me sleepy?? so i started reading smut before bed lol
Did you dive into something familiar or try something new this year?
familiar: yeah fluff is like a go to for me in whatever fandom. new: DEFINITELY i started writing for kells in 2020 (can you believe) and i also started writing for spencer reid :) many nice new things
Share a comment (if a writer) or story (if a reader) that lifted your spirits this year?
i love every comment people leave me (i also read all the tags) and i compile all the ones that i like to look back on with the tag #beautiful people on my blog, but ive also been told by a couple different people that they re-read my stuff which is insanely mind boggling so yeah
as for stories theres two mgk ones i go back to whenever im going thru a rough time: fit by my side by @angrylizardjacket and vegas run by @harringtonstudios
as for criminal minds, ive got my bookmarks on ao3 for my favs on there but my ultimate favorite writers are @reidscanehand and @write-orflight who are only on tumblr as far as i know so i felt like i need to include them :) anything these two writers post i will read no questions asked

in general? being alive and healthy. but a lot of good things happened to me this year (as well as some really really shitty stuff but oh well). the best thing that happened to me this year no doubt was meeting @enchantedamusedslightlyconfused i love you with my whole heart jordan
im also grateful for kells, he helped me in a way no artist ever has. if u had asked me a year ago if i even liked rap i would have laughed in ur face i kid you not. he changed me along with so many things this year and i truly feel like im the best version of myself that has ever existed

Have your style (writer) or tastes (reader) changed this year?
im not entirely sure? i feel like with every piece i write i get better. in the sense that its a bit more realistic than when i first started writing. i know my fluff pieces are insanely fluffy and out of reach and very fan girly i truly understand, but it used to be so much worse. so overall i feel like my writing has gotten more realistic, which im proud of.
as a reader, i hoped i could see the appeal of angst this year but i dont think i ever will.
What’s the first thing you want to read or write this year?
i dont think i wanna have writing/reading goals this upcoming year. 2020 was the worst year of my life, but just cuz the clock struck midnight on the 31st doesnt mean that the shit show is over. so i hope that if i do continue writing this year, i do it when im ready.
Anything new you want to try in 2021?
writing wise (again if i even do keep writing this year), maybe work on some ocs. ive never done that before. itll probably still be incredibly self indulgent but something new. and possibly write a few more soulmate!au’s because those bring me such joy

i just had my financial accounting exam which lasted 3 hours.. and omg, if i did not study so much for it, i would have failed it. there were so many trick questions and tricky situations.. my god.. even my smart friends thought it was tough. like rip if i could get a B+ in this course i'd be pleased. no wonder the profs agreed that if students do super well on the final, they'll disregard the midterm because that final was complex af! like there were so many intermediate calculations and whats even mindfucking was all the numbers are in millions cause he used real life examples from companies like aaa im just glad my many of my calculations matched the dropdown choices but some i just had to make an educated guess
and its sooo dense!! like so many words and the questions had a LOT OF FLUFF especially in financial analysis! and in bond amortization, the excel provided was so shitty i had to set my absolute reference manually.
i dont know how i feel about that exam. but i can predict many will not do well. as soon as the exam finished, every student was talking about how much it was a nightmare. it's really friday the 13th LOL. i am praying the scale saves me cause gosh that was the toughest exam ive taken this term so far. like im confident i wont fail but at the same time who knows!!!!

ok so it's me again and honestly im glad tumblr ate my earlier ask cause it was VERY long but essentially i dropped yoi because i was pissed jj the canadian jetplane won gold while pichit, absolute king of everything, didn't even place i think not sure i haven't watched the show since the finale
i was also mad that the writers has the perfect opportunity, SEVERAL TIMES, to address or make a commentary on the racism and colorism in the professional ice skating scene, but NoOoO we just gotta let the white man with the mediocre performance win bc of "personal growth????"
the more i talk about this the more you'd think the writers DID sneak something in and i missed it, but i'd say i had pretty good critical thinking skills 2 (3? 4?) years ago so i should have picked up on it
another point, it's anime and that garbage industry is infamous for it's racism and colorism (among other things) so. fuck it all (obv im not saying every anime is racist/colorist but like. pichits a side character, clearly shown to be important to yuuri, shown to be on par and even above in skill to yuuri, kind, compassionate, full of art and life and love and he made SIXTH despite "a near flawless performance" so.)

Yeahhh that totally makes sense. Do/did you follow figure skating? From like 2011-2017 I was really into figure skating and gymnastics, and I definitely agree with you. They’re beautiful sports, but the judging is so corrupt. (Case in point: The Sotnikova/Kim controversy in Sochi 2014) Among skaters/coaches/etc, colorism, racism, and classism are all huge problems, too. I wasn’t really thinking about that when I was watched it originally, so I’m really glad you pointed it out.
I haven’t watched YOI in a while, but I genuinely can’t remember there being any commentary on these issues in it. Which, on one hand, does make sense. It’s meant to be a pretty upbeat show that centers Yuuri’s relationships and growth; obviously they’re going to steer away from portraying major controversies. On the other hand, Phichit was robbed for no reason.
It makes no sense to focus on JJ’s development over Phichit’s, especially when his success came at Phichit’s expense. JJ’s backstory is interesting, and I did enjoy it at the end, but there’s no reason for him to have medaled. (I checked and at the GPF, JJ got bronze, while Phichit was second to last :/) Arguably, it would have pushed more character development for him to have given his best after moving on from his mistakes and it still not being enough. It would have forced a lot more self-reflection, you know?
Or, they could have kept that storyline, but had some commentary about the judges favoring certain skaters/countries and intentionally boosting their scores (ie., Lipnitskaya’s solo performance in Sochi resulting in fifth place despite a disastrous short program). Especially considering that JJ is from Canada, a country that’s fairly influentially/favored by the ISU, while Phichit is from Thailand, a country that hasn’t made any major contributions to figure skating. (Note: I’m pointing this out because judges are known to favor skaters from countries that can contribute more financially/etc to figure skating at large. Basically, there’s no benefit to boosting a Thai skater, but they would have an incentive to boost a Canadian.)
Towards the end of the series, Phichit also takes a back seat to JJ’s development. Like you mentioned, he’s actually important to Yuuri, and he’s been in the show from the beginning. It is weird that he kind of fades into the background as the series reaches its climax. It’s especially frustrating because one of Phichit’s main goals is to make figure skating popular in his country, and he knows that in order to do that, he needs to become a very successful skater. JJ’s goals are just focused on himself. It’s fine to be selfish; I’m not judging that. But Phichit’s goals are more compelling, and I wish we had seen him succeed more.
Anime definitely has issues with racism and colorism, and it’s important to point that out here. When you’re surrounded by these prejudices, it’s going to affect your work. It’s important to critique it or you’re also going to absorb those biases. It’s definitely likely that colorism had a role in Phichit’s and JJ’s placings. It reminds me a lot of how female characters are randomly deprioritized to make way for a man. The exact same thing happens with key brown/black characters being downplayed to allow a white/light-skinned character to succeed. It’s so shitty, and we do need to discuss it. You can’t do better until you’re willing to acknowledge your current and past mistakes.
I’m so glad you sent this ask anon!! Thank you for sharing your perspectives on the series. When I first watched YOI, I was definitely not in a headspace to critically evaluate it. I’ve actually been planning on rewatching YOI for a while now, though, and I’m really excited to watch it with these thoughts in mind. VENT cuz i literally can’t talk to my friends or anyone cuz im alone and want to write about my life, this gets deep and sad
its about my current situation but i just end up talking about my high school days
lol guess who’s college semester is cancelled??? ( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉)
i have no sleep schedule and end up getting up at noon.
the only good thing i’ve doing is eating oranges but i think my body is making me crave them so i don’t get scurvy _(:3」∠)_
whatever at least i don’t have to do the group project/ presentation my teacher wanted to do.
im so glad everything for my transfer paperwork is already done. i can’t even begin the express how relived i am that the college wanted me to start in the fall, i can’t imagine what would’ve happened to me if i had gone there in the spring like a applied for.
im so tired all the time and trying to fill my time talking on discords and working on art, pretty much anything to fill my time with constructive stuff. trying to not shut down and become depressed like in high school cuz i still have online classes to finish in a few days.
have y’all seen steven universe future? i can’t believe its ending i swear it feels like just yesterday i was 13 watching the premier (lol when people actually watched tv) it the only constant i’ve have for so long, i literally grew up with it.
animation and fanfiction keep me going like nothing else, other people have doctor appointments on their calender's but the only stuff i have are cartoon premier dates. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the only thing i have to look forward to are the new episodes of stuff like steven universe, the owl house, and duck tales but im super excited to watch new shows like midnight gospel and solar opposites.
i keep think i just have to be to summer, all of this will be over, you can see your friends and partner. you can pack everything up and live somewhere else for the first time, sure i’ve left my home but only for 2 weeks at most and im so ready to live on my own. maybe make some friends, the life long kind that return my calls and texts instead of ignoring me till i stop trying.
ever since i was little i’ve never had long lasting friends they either moved away or lived somewhere i would have to drive to which as a kid couldn't. no one lasted more than 3 years.
i think i’ve spent more time in my life alone than with people, walking alone to the liberty after school because there was nothing to do at home.
i know deep down im a different person but i can’t help but keep grudges especially against the people around me that made situations worse. like my freshmen year where every class was full of people i hated because they treated me like shit or just ignored. how depressed i got and even after therapy and medication that my family and teachers knew about they still said stuff like, “you’re soooo smart, you can do better”, “why aren’t you trying?”, and “i expect more from you”
i still remember the warm summer nights i spent listening to the few songs i had downloaded cuz my mom turned off the internet off because she expected my grades to go up with in a day. she would call my teachers everyday to micromanage my life. i have a better relationship with her now but even after therapy and medication she got for me she expected everything to get better instantly.
i slept through all my classes, a obvious sign of depression. i was so depressed, it was like everyone around me saw laziness instead of sadness and i shut down until the year was over
i’ll never forget summer school after i failed freshmen year, i actually learned because the teachers they had cared and how my only friends over protective parents started to like me and i got to spend so much with her.
around a year later i started this blog, and it became a place a could post my art and my art got better everyday. i could never imagine the following i have today, most of the art from the beginning still only has 2 to 7 likes and even that meant so much to me.
by then my abusive sister left for college and i finally got happier, i got a fresh start and did better in class and looked forward to going home to an empty house that i could do anything in.
the next year i met the love of my life, it was literally instant and we gravitated to each other. Ha they thought i was straight till i came ito class with a pride t shirt, that year was amazing.
and then the next year fell apart, my partner had a falling out with their best friend. then that friend predeceased to treat me like shit, i got put by myself by the new teacher and i was alone again.
but i got through it and now i’m here and i’ll never have to see any of those shitty people ever again.
