I hope Pete finds Kenta after Way's funeral. I hope he's been using his money to fight for his freedom despite murdering Tony. I hope he's thinking about him even as he mourns Way. I hope Pete finds Kenta and protects Kenta and loves Kenta. I hope Pete holds him in his arms and lets him cry. I hope Pete tells Kenta he matters, that he's important, that he is loved, that he did the right thing.

I hope Pete goes home at night to Kenta in their home and they hold each other through grief and loss and they rebuild what they lost and they learn that they can love each other and shine in a world that keeps trying to hurt them.

I hope they smile together.

I hope Pete makes Kenta smiles; I hope Kenta makes Pete smile.

I hope they find joy together despite the pain and loss that has haunted their lives.

Being old, I like old sayings. I especially like the old Scottish proverb from the 1600s, “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.” No, I didn’t actually use it myself in the 1600s, but I think it clearly conveys that you need to make things happen and not just wish for them to happen. However, I’m not sure the term beggars is politically correct these days. I think financially-disadvantaged…

After Only Friends all I want is a NeoBook show and a FirstForce show. MondBook would also be great. NeoForce? Hell yes. FirstMark? Yes, please. No more pair branding, chaos only.

Please. Give everybody a good shake up and just spread the pairings all over the place. They could be so good.

(NeoBook would do an amazing enemies to lovers show about, like, academic rivals or a much better My Gear and Your Gown. FirstForce could do something amazing in a business setting with both of them trying to be professional together also pining. MondBook would be amazing as a jock-nerd pairing. NeoForce could give us just about anything but I think I'd like them in a more serious BL, with lots of deeper undertones just in general. FirstMark would do an AMAZING light and goofy romcom.)
