-Imagine going camping with your older co-worker and friend Miguel, somewhere remote in a national park, deep in the forest with not a soul around in sight
-it was your idea since both of your dates bailed for the weekend, befriending one another initially when you both grumbled over Janet at the office's potluck, and the pitiful end of year pizza party, obvious tension between both of you for months, finally worked up the courage to ask him to do something, figuring you might as well since neither of you had plans.
-Miguel makes you get in the passenger seat after seeing how silly you look behind the wheel of the enormous flatbed pickup truck you rented, both of you from the city have no clue what you're doing
-when you arrive, evergreen trees shrouding the small campsite, biting chill of mountain wind brushing your face as you step out, breathing in the crisp temperatures of the remote woods and releasing it with a deep sigh
-you bicker over the tent, finally allowing Miguel to set it up himself, when he insists that you're doing it wrong while you pout in a camping chair, attitude slowly leaving your body as you begrudgingly eat one of the sandwiches from the cooler, some chips, and a cold soda, realizing you were just cranky due to hunger and the long drive.
-Miguel smiles, telling you playfully to save some for him, to which you flip him off.
-he feels sweat trickle down his forehead watching you try to wield an axe and chop some firewood, approaching you with hands raised, telling you to slowly put it down.
-you're suddenly feeling really turned on when you watch him roll up his flannel on his thick hairy forearms, grunting as he brings the axe down, chopping the wood like it's nothing, using his collar to wipe his forehead as he pants, those wavy brown locks of his falling in his face.
-later, as the sun goes down, and the temperatures drop, he can't help but admire how adorable you look in your oversized sweatpants and hoodie, wanting to just pull you into his arms to stop you from shivering.
-you share amazing conversation and silly banter you're throwing back and forth as you sit around the fire, your camping chairs pushed close together, your socked feet in his lap under a thick warm blanket with one of his arms resting on top of your legs, roasting you some marshmallows over the fire, telling him when to rotate the skewer so it turns a lovely golden brown on all sides (except he wasn't paying attention the first time, lighting it on fire on accident and you giggling as you watched him cutely panicking, trying to blow it out, but not before it became a crispy charred mess)
-thinking about eating s'mores and your face getting warm as you nurse your Stella Rosa wine in your tumbler while he sips beer from a bottle.
"Did you feel a raindrop just now?"
"No?"
-but soon the sprinkles come down harder and harder, until it's a full on rain shower, your fire burnt out and scrambling to save the food, your chairs, and anything else you don't want to get soaked as you run towards the tent, zipping it up behind you, sighing with relief and laughing together as you hear the rain get more intense.
-"How long are we stuck in here?" You ask. Miguel shrugs, pulling you protectively closer to him.
"I don't know..." He whispers.
-your teeth are chattering, you're standing there half hunched over in the small tent while Miguel quickly unzips the sleeping bags and lays the blankets over the large air mattress, telling you to get in next to him underneath your fortress of warmth as you cling to each other in the chilly tent.
-thinking about how both of your shaking gets less and less frantic as you hold each other in the quiet tent, listening to the rain ceaselessly pelting the outside in lulling rhythm.
-thinking about his chin resting on your forehead, the smell coming off his body smoky from the campfire with the faint musk of a man who's been working in the sun.
-he jokes that your body heat between both of you would transfer more quickly if you were both naked.
-his lips part as you look up at him, asking if he wants to test that theory.
-your teeth are chattering again as you both struggle to strip down, frigid air obliterating both your bodies in a sea of goosebumps, practically pouncing on each other again under your nest of blankets when you're both bare, electricity and pure want permeating all throughout your body when you feel his skin against yours for the first time
-imagine his full lips with the slightest dust of the bitter cold on them then the feeling of his warm tongue sliding into your mouth with a little groan, deepening kisses gradually with an increased appetite than before, the crisp taste of beer on his tongue mixing with the fruity bittersweet wine on yours.

I think (usually) I'm pretty good at staying true to the characters and not making them too ooc (and I know when it's ooc, okay, I have one wip rn where I just don't give a fuck, I'm writing it anyway lol), and I can get into their heads pretty well. Also I think I'm good at the cute fluffy stuff lol idk
What are your writing weaknesses?
there's probably a lot lol - rn the one that comes to mind is descriptions probably, which is why writing fanfic where we have established characters and settings is so much easier than og stuff haha

Only Friends Backstories and Secrets
I don't do this usually but this show is making me insane so here it is, an Only Friends Theory.
My personal theory is that every main character (not sure if this applies to our lesbians yet, too early too tell) has 1 solo backstory detail and at least 1 or 2 relationship backstory detail to uncover. We already know some of them, but some are still a mystery. I have some theories. The biggest is the Mew-Boston one.
I'll go in order
Top
Solo Backstory = Childhood trauma (almost died in a fire) + Insomnia (Can't sleep alone) + Possible drug problem??
Top-Boston = They fucked once, obviously
Top-Sand = This one is still a mystery but there is something there, drug delear? Ex hook-up? Top hired used to hire him to sleep with him (like in the same bed not for sex - or for sex we don't know). For now there is too many possibilities.
Mew
Solo Backstory = I have no idea, but there is something. There is a dark spark in that man eyes, I don't know what it means, but it's there.
Mew-Boston = Leaving my theory for Boston Section.
Not sure tbh maybe Mew-Ray = How they meet? Why does Ray love him?
Ray
Solo Backstory = His mom died, at first I thought it was suicide, but after reading @bengiyo stray thoughts I realized it was probably alchool poising.
This one is another sure. Mew-Ray probably (see above). Maybe also with Boston, they have not intereacted directly or alone yet, idk.
Sand
Solo Backstory = Based on the writer twitter response on the car accident theory my best guess is that someone he loved was in car accident because they were either drunk driving themeself or hit by a drunk driver.
Sand-Nick = When did they meet? Why? Are they university friends? Please tell me someone else is intrigued by how First and Mark played that scene, it literally sent sparks in my brain. I want to see more of them.
Sand-Top = Like stated above in Top section, there is definately something going on there. They do not like each other.
Nick
Solo Backstory = Something involving his parents, I think Nick lied about that store being a family business. I think he was living in a hole of an appartment because he was kicked out by his parents. Also is the Camboy theory correct? Is he one already or he is going to become one?
Nick-Sand = GIVE ME MOREEEEEEE!!!!!!
Nick-Top = Maybe, if Nick and Sand are friends he might have around when that thing between Sand and Top went down, and in the preview we saw him look at that picture with Boston and Top. Maybe it's not just jealousy but recognition on his face.
BONUS = Was anyone else reminded of Together With Me Side couple?? I had to look up the names: Farm and Bright the older Player Doctor and The University Student. Farm was an innocent boy and ended the series heartbroken and becoming just like the player and the player ended up lonely and regretting it. (We will ignore s2 for this parrallel).
Boston
This is my biggest theory section. It ties a bit into the Together with Me idea and with Parrelles in general.
Solo Backstory (+ possible reasons he seems particulary weird about Mew) = I am not sure if Jojo did something like this before because my memory sucks, but Boston could be the kind of character that had a bad expierience with sex and a realtionship and that turn into only wanting sex and thinking he is only good for sex.
What if he was someone's Nick? What if Mew and Boston knew each other first, either in High School or first year of University. What if they both liked the same boy. And they were both young and inexpierienced. What if that boy tried to get with Mew first. But Mew didn't sleep with him. And what if that boy then went to Boston. Young, wide-eyes Boston who fell for it. What if they had a sex relationship, it went on for months. What if that boy asked for sexual things, more and more, I am reminded of that Together with Me scene with Doctor Bright almost convincing Farm to an orgy and him leaving (at least I think he left before it could start). What if it was something like that except Boston didn't leave.
And then what if after all of it, the boy dumped him. Because well he couldn't bring Boston to his parents could he? He is a slut now? A sex thing, not boyfriend material, too easy. What if he compared him to Mew something like "Now your friend Mew, he is the kind of guy would make a great boyfriend, he has his virtue intact"
For now it's just a theory, something to explain Boston obsession with Mew's virginity and that wanting to basically win Top over Mew. I also love the idea of Boston being someone's Nick before and that Together With Me parrallel would not leave my brain. Anyway that's it.

MotA pt eight:
combat pilots are the glamour boys of piloting tbh (I like/am critical of this show's sprawling ambition but I'd take a BoB style miniseries just following the 332nd / 477th)
feeling a little bit back to square one in that suddenly there's a whole new bunch of guys in uniforms and masks and I'm supposed to be able to tell them apart and it took me about 4 episodes to keep track of the 100th (about 7 to keep track of easy company, but I was new to the genre back then)
(my co-watchers and I have a whatsapp group called "i moustache you a question" which is purely for helping one another tell MotA characters apart)
I don't want to be mean but I do not give a skerrick of a fuck about bucky's emotional problems, especially when that problem is boredom
"well I could cope with being DEAD" is mildly endearing
just think how much of this narration you could cut out and everything would be fine, better even
it's good to see a little bit more of capt westgate's working relationships

I thought maybe buck and bucky's fight might be some piece of misdirection theatre in aid of an escape plan but no, bucky is just that annoying. punch him again.

"I helped plan d-day and then slept through it" is a great story for the grandkids. I'm being flippant but also: it kind of is

I'm always a bit lost when the 100th point to one another through their plane windows and say things like "look! there's blakely!" because I simply cannot make out any distinguishing features. the tuskegee planes are great though, much more distinctive
Second Smug Nazi is a slightly more charismatic actor imo
the writers have got themselves into that "this time period was racist but Our Heroes cannot be racist" dilemma so, as per the classic dodge, some relatively minor character gets to be the Only Racist. sorry hambone. you are very blond, after all. (sometimes it's "this time period was homophobic" or "this time period was misogynistic" but the solution remains the same)
I quite like alex and buck's interactions, despite not having been terribly invested in buck so far. good chemistry? just the novelty of a new character relationship? anyway it helps when butler and turner get scenes with other people for a change. one of the best tools for character development is giving them multiple relationships; the different commonalities/tensions/chemistry are v revealing
I am not immune to a Secret Plot Montage
tell me more about macon and demarco, is this a budding friendship (don't want to overegg a "standing next to each other" moment but I'm starved for supporting character development and I'm finally giving up on that significantly changing)
I think westgate is probably right to call things off with crosby sooner rather than later (I always support hbo war ladies when they dump guys #feminism)
yeah I do quite like rosie, he's a good person/leader/pilot. very obviously not (as winters described guarnere and speirs) a natural killer, but that's not his job and he is a natural pilot and therefore cannot bring himself to leave the other guys before the war is over
I think I have done a relatively good job of keeping track of the influx of new characters. don't remember everyone's names yet (alex! macon! daniels!) but I'm doing better on faces

i try my best to, but for various reasons comments will accumulate in my inbox and i might not respond to them until even a year later. but please believe me, i do read every single one.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
i write a lot of HEs... perhaps only an echo, since the entire premise of that (unfinished) series is an AU where Wu Xie isn't there to fulfill his ten-year promise with Xiaoge. rather than angsty endings, i write more angsty stories? in which case, the angstiest might be 千里自同风 | no distance too great as a canon-compliant post-canon fic that follows Fang Duobing's journey of grief. (but i don't think the ending of that is sad, tbh.) alternatively, 飞蛾扑火 | for you, i'll gladly burn is another contender given Shen Yi's big reveal in the last chapter (but also don't think the ending is sad). 红尘似水，万事入歌 | the world becomes song is pretty sad too if only because we the readers know the characters' fates in canon.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
honestly, i think most of my fics are HEs. or if not "happy," comforting for sure. most of my fics end with a promise to be together, to spend an ordinary life together, to have the chance to be in the moment together. it might not be super, like, grand or dramatic or anything - but i genuinely think all my fics have peaceful endings. so take your pick, peruse my works～

rarely, and the few times that i have, i've simply deleted them.

my 往前走 莫回呀头 | go forward and don't look back series 🥹 i had two more parts planned originally after Xiuxiu's POV... one was Liu Sang, the other was Xiaoge. (there was an undetermined Bai Haotian POV fic too.) i also definitely won't be finishing the sound of snowfall (and don't want to LOL)
16. What are your writing strengths?
atmosphere and rhythm, i think. maybe because i used to write a lot of poetry? i also have faith in my world-building (bc i do a LOT of research) and dialogue. in terms of tropes, it must undoubtedly be hurt/comfort.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
i'm not good at writing fight/action scenes (probably another reason why i literally cannot write smut). i also don't think i'm super great at description, but i think i've been improving.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
this is an interesting question because i actually write all my dialogue in Chinese first and then tl it to English since i pretty exclusively write for c-media now 😆 i like that a lot bc i think it helps me to more accurately characterize these ppl - but also it sucks tremendously when English is just the ugliest-sounding language in the world, LOL. (i always think my original Chinese dialogue is prettier and has more depth～)
19. First fandom you wrote for?
the first fandom i posted fic on AO3 for was Good Omens: i love(d) you. but in my life, it was probably like... Warriors (yes, the cats) or Shugo Chara..? idk, or maybe Case Closed (still love that series despite how insufferably long it's gotten).

Ok so honestly? I don't do angst much haha, and literally never sad endings. Its all gonna be tied up with a neat little happy bow from me, baby! I think I left chapter 3 of Bardic Inspiration in a pretty sad state - does that count?
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Orgasms cout, right? ;D Right now what comes to mind though is the only fix-it fic I've really written - (I only need) the working of my hands Where I give Hellcheer the happy, sexy ending they deserve (but make it Sapphic with a side of coming back wrong)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not yet! Fingers crossed it remains that way! I usually try and stay miles away from any fandom drama tbh
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I am determined to! Like sure I would call some of what I've already written smut but I feel like I'm not quite fully there yet. I haven't fully realised the lengths of perversion/intimacy hyperfixation that sits in my mind! Its an ongoing process hehe
Regarding what flavour of smut I write, its always queer, soft, and a little gothic in the undertones... Would love to do some more genderqueer stuff in the future as well
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Not yet! I'm not against them, and I loove a good AU, but nothing has stuck so far. Maybe one day I'll write that Stranger Things Persona 4 AU. (look it would work so well!! Eddie as Kanji makes me feral ngl)

I'm pretty proud of how I set the mood of a scene - the colours, the light, the sounds... just hinting at a feeling without describing the feeling itself.

I can like, either do super dialogue heavy bits, or really descriptive bits, and its so hard to marry the two together!! ahh!

Look english is hard enough lol

Harry potter haha, wrote some truly terrible angsty self-insert when i was 14 (luckily that is gone forever!!)
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Honestly, I really love When I am done, its such a snap-shot kind of fic, and its got such a mood that I love. Keeping a one-shot simple and to the point is really difficult, and I think this one is my best attempt at it.

Another option for RWBY working with Ironwood and sharing important information with him: They're not actually bothered by working with a dictator until that dictator is no longer on their side. Which would make them pretty vile, tbh. So it would reflect better on RWBY and co if he wasn't a dictator until the end of V7.
Exactly. Like, I've been paying attention to things like Miles Luna saying they'd originally written Ironwood to be a bit of a dick but then 'discovered he had a heart' and the writers saying that he was a 'fallen hero' and had paved the road to hell with 'good intentions' and that the ethical dilemma at the end of volume seven (rescue Atlas, the already evacuated Mantle citizens, and the Relics Salem wanted at the cost of leaving behind the remaining Mantle citizens or trap Atlas, the already evacuated Mantle citizens, and the Relics Salem wanted at the risk of losing everything on the off chance they might be able to save more people) was meant to be one with no clear answer and no clear right and wrong. The 'Ironwood was always an evil bad dictator' people should logically see that sort of thing and actively think the writers are incompetent or liars, or that they're so opposed with 'Alpha Males' that they didn't even realize they were writing a dictator, or... They're pro-dictator. Either way, it would - using their logic - reflect badly on the writers and would inevitably also make the group of heroes look really really bad in universe.
Like, the way that I see it is that the writers made Ironwood with the vague concept of maybe potentially being a bad guy later on, but using their flying by the seat their pants writing style decided that Ironwood worked better as a good guy during the Beacon arc and tbh also the Mistral arc, and then continuing with their fly by the seat of their pants writing style, decided to try to do a morally complicated plot with the whole volume seven, and then decided they wanted villain Ironwood and started making him a 'villain with a point' who was against Salem but also way too 'ends justify the means' and also needed to be stopped. And although I don't really like fallen hero arcs as a general rule, the concept itself isn't a bad one and I just think it was really poorly executed. But the way this angle of the 'Ironwood was written as a flawed good guy who did morally gray things with his back to the wall and then was suddenly written to be villainous evil for the sake of it scum' thing reflects on the characters in universe... Isn't super bad actually. Sure I think Ruby and co could've made some better choices and some of the way the writers decided to characterize them is annoying and again, badly done. But 'they were working for a good guy despite the fact that they didn't always agree with him on everything and he wasn't always perfect, they had a pretty big ideological difference of opinion that drove them apart, and then Ironwood started going absolutely off the rails bad seemingly out of nowhere, making Team RWBY and co have to take him out'... While I still think it was badly done, that reflects so much better on Team RWBY and co than the 'they were willingly and happily working for a dictator for months and the only explanation for it is incompetence or them actually not minding dictators' that comes with the 'Ironwood was always a bad evil dictator' angle.
Like, seriously, what is the angle that the anti-rwde posters think they're taking when they say that the only people who don't think Ironwood was a bad evil dictator are either stupid, pro-dictator, or misogynists who love alpha men, when TEAM RWBY AND CO didn't think he was a dictator, and the writers talk about him as a fallen hero with good intentions? If Ironwood really was a dictator, than Miles Luna and the other writers and Ruby Rose and the other heroes are in the exact same slot that I am.

Interesting note is that almost all of those are early in the Sandman/Dreamling fandom where there was more activity and less fics in existence.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I would LOVE to respond more to comments. I read all of them and treasure each one. However, spoons are limited and most of the time recently my brain is just not cooperating. I used to respond to every one and exhaust myself. Now I'd rather spend that energy reading and writing more. But when I am feeling like I am a shite writer and others do it better and why am I even continuing to do this I go back and re-read comments and it really does help.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't think I write angsty endings, tbh. The angstiest of those that are finished would probably be i will take me away. There is, however, one that will definitely be the angstiest once it is done. 😉
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I chronically write happy endings. I think my happiEST ending is Hypnopompia turtur, followed closely by high enough (you got me good)'s Chapter 4
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nope! At least not yet... <.< >.> <.<

You would have an easier time counting the fics that do NOT contain any smut. You could count them on one hand.
I mostly write BDSM and/or graphic smut. Lots of porn, sometimes plot.

Yes, rarely. I think my recent delve into Sandman+Ted Lasso with Keeper is pretty fucking weird (as much as I adore it).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not that is published. I am currently collaborating with someone on future White Horse Mafia fics.

Oh Christ, that is like asking what is my favorite bird. *pulls out laptop and projector and slides* In this TEDTalk, I will...
Dreamling is definitely the one that has had the strongest grip on me in a very long time. Lestat/Louis is a classic I will never be completely over. Harry Dresden/John Marcone just thrills me for reasons I cannot fully pinpoint. Chris Pike/Ash Tyler from Star Trek also is very dear to me, as is Clint Barton/Loki from back at the start of the MCU.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
My Chris Pike/Ash Tyler/OC triad from Star Trek. I want to finish it in my heart, but I have lost the thread of it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Apparently porn. At least that is what I gather from feedback from others.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Does comparing myself too much to other authors count? Like, too often looking at another person's fic and being like I want to BE THAT instead of embracing who I am and how I write. Does that make sense? It is one thing to be inspired by someone's work and try to learn from them, but sometimes I find myself wanting to try to change my WHOLE STYLE to try and be "more successful" or "more liked", whatever the fuck that means.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I avoid it unless I feel I really need it for Plot Reasons™. I will use Google Translate if the language is common, but also other websites for common slang phrases or dialects that Google Translate doesn't have. I am more than happy to have people correct me, though!

The Vampire Chronicles
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
OK, this is almost as hard as choosing my favorite bird...
I really really love what I was able to achieve with the style of i had a dream (i got everything i wanted). I am so proud of Hob's first-person journal and a part of me will always wish it caught more people's attention.
I still impress myself with the amount of world building I was able to cram into the less than 10k of find in me your rhythm and the less than 3k of Stay the Knight.
What I was able to do with Hob's snarky voice in A Change in Tactics also cracks me up.
But I think the one I am most proud of overall is You create me against your lips. It started out with a blurb inspired by an Instagram post and in the end will be the longest fic I have ever written and the longest fic I have ever finished by far.
What is interesting is that most of these are decidedly NOT my most popular based on AO3 stats. Fascinating.

Hmmm... most of them have happy endings so idk... maybe Strategies for Play bc Kuroo's "masterplan" worked and it ends post great sex with everyone cuddling in bed being super cute?

Nope, not ever received hate on my fics but I have received hate about my fics on here (the Astarion one)

Most of what I write tends to be smut lmao. And I guess all kinds but usually with some kind of bdsm/kink dynamics to them? 4 of my published fics are smut (cater to you, he was made to be broken, strategies for play, and the miya atsumu humilation show), and an additional 1 has some sexual content in it (just watch me). My more "risque" content is currently languishing in my wips waiting to be finished (yeah i'm looking at you inumaki/itadori/sukuna fic)
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Yes, but none of them have been published yet LMAO. I can't tell you about one of them that'll be published soon for the They Were Roommates big bang, but I did/do have a bluelock/D&D cross over that's probably the "craziest" one (and also SO much fun to plan). Deep in my wips I also have a BokuAka Greek Mythology AU and sketches for a Haikyuu/Dirty Dancing AU

12. There was no question 12 so I'll make one up myself: What's the longest you've ever spent working on one fic? And the shortest?
LMAO. I love this because who made this one up? idk! If we're going by published fics then The Miya Atsumu Humiliation Show took me from May to October 2023 (5 months), and I've been working on my TWRRMs bang fic since May (currently 6 months). I've also been planning/writing Fire On the Horizon since Jan 2023!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I've co-created a fic, as in coming up with the idea with another person, and I've also co-created in the sense of working with beta readers for bang fics. I've not co-written anything yet though, but I would love to!
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Nooo... what a cruel question. I'll give you my top 5 bc I simply cannot choose: krbk (kirishima/bakugou), stsg (gojo/geto), skts (sakusa/atsumu), bkak (bokuto/akaashi), bokuroo (bokuto/kuroo)
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
gods. So many of them tbh... I might one day muster the will to finish he was made to be broken. I want to finish the kunichi (kunigami/raichi) one but idk if I will ever get round to it. And the bllk/D&D one would take a lot of work, but maybe if/when I get back into bllk that'd help
16. What are your writing strengths?
I always struggle with this question bc I have really bad writing insecurities but recently I've been able to conclude that I think I'm reasonably good at comedic writing (people tend to find my fics quite funny), emotive writing (I make people cry/feel Emotions, even if said people don't usually when reading fics), and descriptive writing (I get lots of compliments that people can visualise exactly what I've described)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
idk if it's a "true" weakness but I'm always paranoid that my dialogue is weak as balls. I also don't have much experience with writing long fic, and thus also character + plot development, but this is something I wanna work on. Oh, the biggest one is probs confidence in myself though!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I think it sounds like a cool idea if it works within the context!

Hahaha so technically I think the first fandom I ever wrote for was Spyro the Dragon when I was like... 6 or 7. On Ao3 though it was Harry Potter in 2014. When I returned to writing in 2022, the first one was My Hero Academia
20. Favourite fic you've written?
Oooooooooh. I think my favourite is Strategies for Play. I adored writing it and it was the easiest one I've ever written. Plus writing Bokuto/Akaashi/Kuroo/Iwaizumi dynamics was *chefs kiss*. Otherwise, the [redacted] TWRMMs bang fic I'm writing at the moment is one I've had lots of fun with and am excited to share (very, very soon!) Just Watch Me is also one of my favourites bc krbk my beloveds and it's the one that brought me back to fic writing so its v dear to my heart

Do you have any idea which dimension Birdperson's from/if he's Ricks "original"? I'm assuming he'll be back at some point cos we saw his daughter (plus "I'll see you when I see you" doesnt really sound like a goodybe tbh), and him being Ricks specific bestie has been shown to be important to Rick (i.e. they're not interchangeable). And if he was outside his original dimension and got sent back by the reset it could make things really interesting...
Its pretty ambiguous as far as I can tell, but (unless the writers choose to ignore it lol) I think he must be either from C-137 or the Prime dimension, right? And... probably the Prime dimension? Like, assuming that's where Rick went hunting for Prime first, and then he met BP there? I guess it could be just some random dimension too, but I feel like thats less likely just because it wouldn't add much to the plot?
I'm mostly asking this because I think him and Prime meeting before either of them see Rick again would be excellent tbh, so idk if it'll matter cos they might not do that lol, but I love your dimensions timeline and I figured if anyone has a good argument for one dimension over another it'd be you katy-133
Hi there!
I'm not sure at all. We know that Birdperson lives in "Bird World," a place that has homes that look like bird's nests (and a cityscape with different architecture). It seems to be its own planet. But that doesn't determine its dimension--just that it's not on Earth.
Trying to build a timeline, Birdperson met Rick after meeting Rick Prime, so Rick could have done a lot of dimension-hopping before meeting Birdperson (at the music festival seeing in Birdperson's memories). Did he meet Birdperson in another dimension, in his own dimension? It's unclear so far as I can tell. And there's even a memory of Rick looking like he's in his 30s to add to the confusion:
In Birdperson's house, we see that there's a picture of Rick holding a baby who appears to be Morty, so it looks like that Birdperson from season 2 knew our Rick, even after Rick and Morty jumped from the Cronenberged Dimension in season 1.
The "you matter" line Rick says to Birdperson makes me think that Birdperson is always the same dimensional version of himself when he's seen on screen. Rick could have replaced Birdperson with another BP from another dimension (his garage's AI suggests it and Rick refuses it) instead of going into his memories.
Also, in the Rick and Morty Character Guide (Dark Horse Comics) includes this:
"Homeworld: Bird World. Affiliations: Unknown." [Source: Den of Geek]
So the idea of Prime and Birdperson meeting each other before seeing Rick looks possible, as it doesn't contradict anything as far as I can tell.

not really, I did get like two not so nice comments ever (one even very recently, and I'm in a place where it hit harder than the previous one lol but it's fine) but generally I don't, my comments are filled with love and I appreciate that so much <3

I think I'm pretty good with dialogue and feelings
and in smut I'm good at making it soft and sweet but also hot and horny at the same time haha
and usually can write characters so that they don't feel too ooc (I think? that's the feedback i often get, idk lol)

overusing the same words over and over again (but like, synonyms don't hit the same lol), probably way too many adverbs, and I'm not great with descriptions of characters or places etc and trying to work on that haha

@anamazingangie tagged me - and what better way to procrastinate on actually writing any of my fics??
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 92
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 378,489
3. What fandoms do you write for? House of the Dragon (Daemyra) almost exclusively now; previously mainly Dragon Age: Inquisition and Horizon Zero Dawn, with several different single fic fandoms like Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Skyrim, and probably others I'm forgetting.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I found some hate for you, just for show

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to! Sometimes I respond right away - other times it takes me a while to get to it. Tbh sometimes it's harder to think of a comment reply than it is to write the fic - especially those amazing long, thoughtful comments. I always worry nothing I can possibly respond will properly express how happy I am to receive them. But I truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to comment - nothing makes my day more than seeing that Ao3 comment email.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
It's got to be i've looked at clouds from both sides now - the ending is just purely hopeless angst. Even my necro fic where Daemon & Rhaenyra both die somehow has a less angsty ending.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
It might surprise people to learn that a lot of my fics actually do end happily, despite my deep, abiding love of angst. peak ends very fluffy and happily; and after some angst in the middle, better not touch (i want it too much) has a very happy ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not outright hate - sometimes I get comments I don't necessarily appreciate, but I've been pretty lucky so far I guess? Maybe I'm not writing fucked up enough stuff, idk.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. Whatever I'm in the mood for - which in the past couple of months has been cannibalism and necrophilia. So. But usually it's some flavor of Daemon being dominant and dirty-talking a lot, featuring my not-so-subtle hand/finger/ring kink and choking kink. I also really enjoy writing Sad Men Jerking Off.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Crossovers aren't usually my thing, although I did recently write a ridiculous HotD/Naked Attraction crossover: Naked Attraction: The Lost Episode.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Only once that I know of, but it was quickly taken down. It was literally a copy/paste of do you really feel alive without me mixed with the work of another Daemyra author.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, with my permission.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, although I definitely take a lot of inspiration from conversations I have with other writers in the fandom. I like to think we all mutually enable each other's ideas, with excellent results. And the #ghost 2 au that you might see pop up from my asks has definitely been a collaborative idea with a number of anons! Otherwise, my writing process is too chaotic to make co-writing really viable. I would end up being too stressed over annoying my co-writer with my disorganization.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Daemyra quickly took root in my brain and became my forever OTP. <3
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have confidence I'll finish all my HotD WIPs. I have an outstanding fic I wrote for The Magicians for a prompt event that is supposed to have a second chapter, but I don't know that I'll ever get around to it since all my fandom energy is spent on Daemyra these days.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I feel like I come up with some interesting premises and can push myself creatively pretty regularly. I feel like I'm good at adjusting my prose and narrative voice to suit the setting? Idk, I like my own dialogue and am not ashamed to admit I make myself laugh when writing a lot of it.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Uhhh plotting lmao. I mostly write based on vibes. Also planning, outlining, posting with any sort of regular schedule, etc. Like I said earlier about my writing process - it's pure chaos.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I use High Valyrian phrases mixed into dialogue a lot, but otherwise I'm way too lazy to write in a language other than English because I'm nowhere close to fluent in any other language, and I don't want to embarrass myself with shitty online translations.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter. Dramione was my original OTP. <3
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
My favorites change constantly depending on what mood I'm in. Here's my current fave from each of my fandoms:

1. How many works do you have on AO3?
16 atm! (1 anonymous) Which is wild to me. English was my least favourite subject in school.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
198,609 which, again, absolutely wild.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
At the minute, just stranger things. But my early fics were Game of Thrones and Bridgerton.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I'm just going off ST fics so:

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes! I definitely try my best to respond to everything as quickly as possible. I feel very honoured that there are people out there who take time out of their day to let me know they enjoyed. Makes my day every single time!!
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Oooh okay, Haunt Me, Then! (kinktober spectrophilia fic) for now, but it's very possible that She's Got A Boyfriend Anyway (classic cheating-on-Jason fic) might beat it when I get round to finishing it.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I don't know if any of my fics have particularly strong happy endings, but off the top of my head it's got to be This Be The Verse.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Defo not on hellcheer ones! Everyone's so nice here!!! <3 My very first fic got SO MUCH hate on it but that's because I wrote it when I was 17 and it WAS terrible.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Really never thought I would, but more of my fics have smut in them than not these days lol. Idk, something about hellcheer just really made me go ...these two should be going at it.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I don't, and I'd be very surprised if I ever do tbh.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope again!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I haven't, and I'm not really sure I can ever imagine myself co-writing.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
I mean, I've not written 13 fics for any ship other than hellcheer so that's something. In terms of longevity, Katniss/Peeta and Finnick/Annie still have the same effect on me as they did when I first read the book at like 13 years old.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
What a stressful question! I doubt I'll finish off Hard to Forgive (Hard to Forget) because it would be one of those proper multi-chapters (40k words ish by my estimates) and I just don't think I could do it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Hmm I'm not sure. I used to be quite good at setting a scene but I think I'm losing that a little. If I'm honest, recently I've been really proud of the sheer volume of what I've been writing and my willingness to venture out of my comfort zone.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
God, where to start. Weak dialogue, my repetitive writing style, difficulty writing endings, complete inability to do anything concisely. But I genuinely feel like I'm slowly improving bit by bit!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I did French and Spanish in school, French to a slightly higher level than Spanish, so I'd feel comfortable including either of those at a school level (like them trying out saying things like "at the weekend I like to go to the park" and "I have two brothers and no sisters" in a class) but wouldn't want to risk anything more complex!
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The Hunger Games. I never posted it anywhere, but I still have my old drafts for fics that I look back on every now and again just to see how far I've come!
20. Favorite fic you've written?
So hard to choose! This Be The Verse because it felt so immensely personal to write or Cherry (sapphic hellcheer) because it was a long time coming. Both are eclipsed by a soon-to-be-uploaded kinktober foot fic that I will reveal is called Heart and Sole (and yes it's as dumb and silly as the title implies)!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

3. What fandoms do you write for?
Teen Wolf primarily, only one of my published fics is for another fandom (What We Do in the Shadows). I do have WIP fics in that fandom as well as Stranger Things and Hannibal, though I don't know if they'll ever get finished or published haha.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Hearts in the Byline (Steter, 62,395 words)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yep! Pretty much all of them! At least all initial comments, and as long as they're made in good faith. Criticism or petty shit I pretty much just ignore. I just know I always like it when authors reply to me, so I like to reply as well. It's a good feeling!!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Depends on how you're defining your angst, but I'm personally going to go with For This I'll Burn where Stiles lets the nogitsune in on purpose. 4,409 words, no pairing.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Tough one! I'd have to say either Foxes and Wolves or The "No-Bite" Rule. They're both Steter HEAs (5,289 and 3,869 words respectively). Forever might look different for Stiles and Peter than it does for other people, but they definitely deserve it.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I have before. Most of the time I can just shrug it off, and it doesn't really bother me. Like I said, I just don't engage with those bad faith comments. I got one on Hearts in the Byline while I was writing it (I believe it has since been deleted lmfao I couldn't find it) on a chapter that asked if someone else had written it because the quality was so bad and they felt it was so incongruous from the story. It was hurtful and awful and at the time it really sucked. I think I've grown as an author and something like that wouldn't bother me as much anymore, but that was my second or third fic, and the longest one I'd written (and still holds that, I think, lol).
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes :-) Some from my own brain and others requested from me. And all sorts!
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't yet. I have one TW/Buffy crossover WIP that I don't know if I'll ever really get to finish, but I'd like to. It's more of a fusion than a crossover, anyway.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of! Hopefully it stays that way haha.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Once! Someone translated The "No-Bite" Rule into Ukrainian here.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have not! But I would try, I think it seems fun.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
It's gotta be Steter, man.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I don't know! I would definitely like to finish all my WIPs, but it's probably unrealistic. Writer in the Dark is a Kira/Cora WIP that I started but lost motivation for. I hope to revisit it someday, but if something won't get finished, that's probably it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Character growth! I feel like I do a good job showing how characters have changed through the narrative over time, no matter if that's years or months or even a very impactful night.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Action is definitely one. I struggle to write combat scenarios (the closest I've gotten with it would be in Mission Control, I think). I'm also not always great at balancing background characters/b-plots. I've had comments before like, "where did x character go???" and I'm like "shit. forgot they were here tbh." But I'm working on it!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I probably wouldn't do it, write dialogue not in English. The only exception might be German, since it's what I studied as a second language, but even then I'm rusty enough that I wouldn't trust it well. Anything else I'd be tossing in Google Translate and hoping for the best, so it's a no-go for me. I've used pet names or short phrases in another language before, but that's really the extent of it.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Technically Marvel but none of what I wrote is up anywhere (that it can be traced back to me, lol, all of those works are orphaned). That I actually count? Teen Wolf.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
I think it has to be Down to the Marrow. I just really, really loved writing that fic. I think it will always have a very special place in my heart. Before then, since it was so recent, I probably would've said Shall We Not Revenge?
