Two horrible screams of pain rang out through Octavinelle dorm.
"A-ah... ah! I didn't mean to hurt you..." A nervous smile appeared on Azul's face. "Oh, my precious little eels... it didn't hurt too much, did it?"
"Everyone, get back-!" Jade yelled.
Suddenly, Azul began to grow larger, to almost gigantic proportions...
"This... could be bad." Floyd sighed.
The now giant Azul picked up both of the twins, bringing them all the way up to his face.
"Where does it hurt? Anything vital? You're lucky that I noticed I was aiming at you and not those fools. If I hadn't, then the attack would've hit would've hit dead on, and then..." Azul sighed. "I would rather not think about that."
"Yes yes, we're all glad that didn't happen..." Jade said. "Now, if you would be so kind as to set us down?"
"I can't." Azul whispered. "Not after that. I'm going to need to put you somewhere safe for a bit, ok? I'll let you out when I've taken care of these pitiful anemones."
"You couldn't possibly mean-!" Jade looked very surprised. "No, not while you're like this, Azul, we don't know what will happen!"
"It'll be fine, just like it always is... now don't worry. I'll make absolutely sure you're safe."
"AZUL, DON'T!" Jade yelled, before...
Before placing Jade in his mouth and quickly swallowing him.
"-ah... stop that, stop moving please." Azul said, a hand on his neck. "This is for your sake, you know? I just want you both to be safe..."
Floyd turned away from Azul, and pulled out his magic pen.
"SHRIMPY, CATCH!!" He yelled, throwing his pen to the prefect of Ramshackle. "USE IT FOR SOMETHING!"
And then, Floyd too was eaten.
"Hm... so there's blot in here as well." Jade said to himself, looking at the tiny drips of the black liquid occasionally trickling down the walls. "How interesting."
"Aha, it's been a while since I've been in here~!" Floyd said as he landed on the soft blue flesh. "Kinda forgot how comfy it was, ehe!"
"How nice of Azul to protect us." Jade smiled.
"Oh! Oh you should've seen it! I threw my magic pen to Shrimpy all dramatically like they'd never see me again or somethin'..." Floyd laughed to himself. "Maaaaaan, you shoulda seen everyone's faces, Jade!!"
"Fufu, how mean of you." Jade tried to pretend he wasn't amused.
"You did the same thing! Yellin' stuff like 'AzUl nO!!!!!!!' and 'We DoN't KnOw WhAt WiLl HaPpEn!!!!' you did that just for the reactions and you know it!"
"...perhaps."
...
"So, d'you think Azul's gonna let us out of here?"
"Certainly. Though, probably only once he's calmed down... now, the question is, how long will that take~?"
"Hm.... I'm guessin' five minutes."
"I personally think seven."
"Welp, for now I guess we just relax until Shrimpy and the others get Azul back to normal."
"I suppose so."

Sure! I'm always down to ramble.
idoazu
This was my main ship before mallerollo popped up. Naturally, I have the most to say about them.
I started to love idoazu when I got to Azul's overblot. I assumed Jade and Floyd would fuck off when Azul was in trouble, but they stayed! I was like, "Oh my god, they love him..." or at least care about him. I was legitimately moved since I was sure they'd dip. I've read people comment on their relationship and that it's purely transactional. That the second Azul falters, the tweels will give him the boot or eat him alive or whatever. Certainly Azul seems to believe this. They say something similar to Jamil in book 4, but it's important to remember that characters can lie and they can lie to themselves. They had a chance to drop him with the overblot and they didn't. Actions speak louder than words, right, so I think it's more likely that they believe it's only transactional, but they do genuinely like each other.
Though this like doesn't mean that the tweels treat Azul all that nice... they fucked up his restaurant during book 6 for funsies. Jade is a huge weirdo and I bet he loves seeing Azul frustrated or pissed off. I love Jade so much... I'm not as big on Floyd, but he can be surprisingly normal when he wants to be. It is nice that Azul has been able to have events with both of his boyfriends and even one with Idia without the eels if you're into that.
I like how close they are and I like how they respect each other. They all know each other's strengths and they've been together for a while. To go on this go-on-land venture together I think is significant. The tweels were the first to 'support' Azul, even if it was mainly to have fun, and I'm sure Azul does feel a bit of fondness for them, even if he says it's all business. I also like how Azul is a bit afraid of them, but he knows them well enough to be able to make his schemes appealing to them. There's this ever-present atmosphere of danger. Both eels love to eat octopus, after all. They're predators and Azul has this balancing act he had to perform, but even if he slipped and they usurped his position, I think they'd keep him around anyway. Floyd uses Azul's name, after all, so he's on the same level as Jade.
I'm not that interested in tweelcest, though. I never got the appeal of twincest. They look the same... I like when there's some kind of contrast.
leovil
The main thing that jumps out at me is how well they know each other and how they respect the other. Leona picked Vil for his Tamashina event and Playful Land showed more of the way they understand each other. They know their weaknesses, too. Their relationship would be complicated and maybe volatile at times, but I think they could make it work if they wanted to. It's probably Leona who'd hold it back. I feel like Vil could encourage him to try harder, but it could easily cross into being really irritating for Leona. Maybe Leona could get Vil to chill out a little bit, who knows. The appeal for me, aside from the visual contrast, is that it's a relationship of equals.
jackvil is just really cute. They're both very driven, and they already jog together in the mornings... it could easily develop from there. There's something just so charming about this giga celebrity getting together with a random guy he knew briefly as a child. It's cute. I think Jack would be good for Vil, too, since he'd be extremely loyal and supportive. He'd also make a good househusband. I don't have as much like 'backing' for this one, it's simple and cute. Plus I'm sure Vil does have a soft spot for him. The story about them making snow stuff together was really charming.
Also I dabbled in rookvil for a while, but it's like... too easy? Like things are established already. The climax of the love story happened already, if you feel me? I also don't like Rook's home screen line from the Ghost Marriage event where he says he's fickle... It worries me. I'm not against the pair, it just doesn't intrigue me, I guess.

Master chef / Culinary crucible with IdoAzu lense

MasterChef where octa appear as judge:
2 mer: Fish- Floyd Azul, Paprika- Jade Floyd, Milk- Jade Floyd.
1 mer: Meat- Floyd, Spice- Jade, Bean- Azul, Potato- Azul, Noodle- Jade, (maybe there'll be solo judge Floyd later?)
As for personal story:
Azul judge Jamil (fish). He's lucky he got Jami. It'll be disastrous with his ultra sensitive taste bud if he get amateur cook.
Jade judge Floyd (noodle). Awfully suspicious judge rotation, how can he end up here? Bitching about the food too, really asking for a fight eh. He's always like this with Azul too. Sigh How handful.
Floyd judge Leona (milk). Leona failed it and it entertain Floyd so much he keep laughing at Leona. He thought all land dweller should have known how to use microwave, I wonder if this is knowledge he obtained from Jade and Azul because they're his sources.
Chef Octa
Bean Jade: poisoned Rook
Noodle Floyd: somehow Jade is his judge and critiques how he need more.
Waiting room Azul:
Oddity of Floyd master chef card (by extension, Sebek)
This card series buddy bonus supposed to be the other chef and judge in personal story. So Sebek and Jade and yet it's Sebek and not Jade. Sebek buddy bonus also not with his judge Jack, instead there's Trey. Where's those person then? What's happening with this banner cards? 🤔 It feels like either someone mess with the judge list or both original judge can't attend at the same time.
I'd love to think it's because Jade messed up the schedule ofc 😌, it's a very great move from him.
Octavinelle judge sprites comparison
that started because of Halloween Jade battle sprite baring his fang, so I got curious of their teeth in currently running cooking events in both servers since we have all octa attending!

Let's begin teeth inspection
Azul only have one spoon feeding move to eat his entire serving, Jade two, Floyd three. Azul use of napkin after he eat.
The one with same animation as Azul during potato event is Vil. Riddle and Lilia also use napkin but they eat two times. Difference in physique?
Btw Grimm blow his food first since he has cat tongue and proceed to eat his food in one gulp).
Floyd hold the cutlery flipped but use right hand while holding the score board.
Interesting thing during milk event, there's 1 point difference with Jade giving less score. Even thought on previous event where they're both present aka paprika event, they have exact same score. Jade and Floyd have different preference with milk.
When they open their mouths while eating
When fed with Mystery food X or less than average food.
Expression for score 2,3,4. Just politely smiling at the amateurish attempt. Azul arms pose is half of each twin, right hand Jade and left hand Floyd. Super cute
Score 5,6,7. Getting better. Why do i feel like Azul smile because he find potential chef to work at mostro. Again Azul pose is half2 of the twin, big love.
8,9,10. Still need to point out how I like Azul arms look like that. Now it's the opposite from previous pose, his right just like Floyd and left same as Jade.

Just wanted to mention for the other anon that the correct ship tag would be MalleIdi. It doesn't much matter in EN spaces but in JP spaces, the "Ide" refers to both the twins at once since it's shorter than adding both their names. Hence why the IdeAzu tag has twins with Azul while IdiAzu is Idia and Azul! Hope this helps!
Not really, Anon, unless I misunderstood your point. The tag for the twins is Ido(イド) and for Idia is Ide(イデ), since his name in Japanese is spelled I-de-a). I went and checked on pixiv: IdeAzu (イデアズ) is Idia/Azul, IdoAzu (イドアズ) is the twins/Azul
That's why we're using both AzuIde and AzuIdi btw: while the first one is a Japanese tag, we assume the second one would be more logical on tumblr. Well, both are empty, so whatever lol
