i was hoping someone would ask for this one!! tysm, dino bone bestie! i am indeed making good progress on the work - deadline one (big exam) was completed and deadline two (ba thesis proposal) is coming along pretty well. but first, it's willex time!
12. "How come you always end up in my bed?"
Alex sighs and turns over for the seventh time in two minutes. And no, that’s not an exaggeration. He’s counting.
Look, he likes being on tour just as much as his band members. He loves being on stage and sharing their music with the fans. The meet and greets were scary, at first, but he’s gotten used to them by now and it is always cool to meet fans, though he’ll never be a little worried about disappointing them. It’s wonderful to go to so many places, to do some sightseeing between the work. All in all, he loves touring.
He does not love hotel rooms.
Hotels in general are pretty cool. They have the little soaps you can take, and free pens, and hotel breakfasts are the best. It’s really fun to be just down the hall from his friends, and occasionally, to share rooms with them.
No, the problem isn’t hotels. It’s just hotel beds specifically. And, even more specifically, the blankets.
Alex runs cold. This is not news to anyone who’s ever met him. His hands are cold and his feet are cold and yes, he wears hoodies no matter what time of year. It’s just a thing, okay? And these stupid thin hotel blankets do not accommodate for that. At all.
He actually has an extra blanket on the bus that he brings to the hotels with him. It’s huge and soft, pink on one side and white on the other. It’s fluffy and warm and absolutely perfect.
And he forgot it on the bus this morning. It’s just him and his cold feet and hands and nose, somehow, against the world.
The shitty thin blanket the hotel provided doesn’t count. Alex doesn’t think that one’s on his side. No, it’s just him.
Well.
Not entirely.
Alex glances to the side, at the undisturbed lump lying next to him. Willie is snoring softly, the only thing visible the very top of his head and the start of the braid he put his hair in earlier.
Yeah, that’s one more thing Alex loves about being on tour. Sharing a room, a bed, with his boyfriend every night. And waking up next to them in the morning, and going through their routines together, and everything else that comes with it. It’s domestic and fun and absolutely perfect.
And, perhaps most importantly right now, it comes with cuddles.
Carefully, so he doesn’t wake Willie up, Alex shifts closer. He lifts up the end of Willie’s blanket – for some reason, they have separate ones in this bed – and slides under it. He tosses his own blanket on top of it for good measure. Then, Alex shuffles around until he can wrap his arms around Willie and pull their back against his chest. Then, once he’s comfortable, and already starting to feel less cold, he tucks his nose in the crook of Willie’s neck.
The snoring stops. Alex freezes.
“How come you always end up under my blanket?” A sleepy voice mumbles.
Alex feels a hand pat along his arm until it reaches his own hand, linking their fingers together. He squeezes softly.
“Sorry,” he whispers. Willie still sounds half-asleep, and the last thing Alex wants to do is wake them up completely by talking loudly. “I was just cold.”
“I could tell.” Willie chuckles. It’s followed immediately by a yawn. “We should get you a nose warmer. Like the ones for your ears, but then your nose. Or, like, a nose glove.”
Alex pulls his head back. “Sorry,” he repeats. “I tried not to wake you up.”
Willie turns in his hold so that he’s face to face with Alex. They wrap their arms around him.
“Don’t be sorry,” he says, yawning once more. “It got me cuddles. I like cuddles.”
“I know you do.” Alex presses his lips to Willie’s forehead in a soft kiss. Thankfully, his lips don’t seem to be as cold as his nose. “Now go back to sleep.”
Willie snuggles closer into Alex’s chest. Soon enough, the snores start up again.
This time, when Alex tucks his nose into Willie’s hair, Willie sleeps on.

Weird string of posts made me remember something from the uni days
For our Movie Language (language of movies??) class we had a prof who was unusual at first glance.
She would show up earlier to the classroom to write down noted on the whiteboard, set the classroom up for the movie or clip viewing like it's a little cinema and demand punctuation when class is in session and have students present on time. (I know this sounds basic but more often we's have prof late for their own classes due to stuff that has to be done in the professor lounge or something, or students would just pop in the classroom however)
She would start the lecture on point, go through her notes and seem strict about them, she disliked any kind of interruptions and be openly upset if students were late or being distraction but despite her bitter mood she would even start the lesson over if needed just so students who are late would hear it.
She would also sometimes misread the tone of the questions and be very snappy with answers, assuming they were mocking her and I was very taken aback by that but as class went on I kind of understood why she was defensive.
She was very different from any prof we had at the uni, her social cues were off but her lectures and explaining were open and understanding. You could see movies, from filmmaking to finished works were biggest passion and thus her profession.
When we would watch many of the movies in class or film festivals that were usually indie, experimental and such, she would ALWAYS take a front sit, get herself comfortable and focus on the movie through and through. She would, unfortunately for easily distracted me, also talk to point out interesting bits during the movies without pausing which was hard for me to keep up but she did liked to praise the scenes or explain why they work. She did respect the silence of the theatres tho, that's when I saw her the most focused on.
I enjoyed her class even if sometimes we'd have quite a bit of miscommunication. I will not know or remeber any of the movies I've seen in her class despite watching them through, nor actors nor directors nor stories. But it was an interesting experience, even if the one who enjoyed these the most was professor herself. I mostly picked up on language of movie making because preproduction and storyboarding was what interested me the most at the time.

Like at best, you personally managed to shrug it off because of having a good support system (extremely uncommon for all trans people but especially groups struggling with erasure), having other identity privilege (in which case congrats on ignoring the lived realities of more marginalized transmascs than you), or whatever.
At worst, you're actively suppressing trauma or similar which is not healthy and in fact often leads to harmful and toxic behavior like???
I want to feel for this person, because I truly understand where the urge to do this comes from. You get told over and over and over that you are a nonmarginalized ally in your own community and you don't want to hurt the people you care about so you shove down all the pain so far that it cuts off the nerve and you become numb to it and you present yourself as a good little sacrificial lamb privileged man who knows his place and grovel for scraps from a tiny vocal minority of a community who are petty bullies who never grew out of their pick-me and mean-gender phases.
(Note, I'm only specifically targeting patterns of behavior with that statement, which is gender-neutral on purpose. Trans people of all genders are guilty of this shit.)
And listen, I know I'm an outlier as an intersex person, as someone who is both transfem and transmasc, as someone who is ambiguous in every sense of the word. But just fucking. LISTEN to people. People are the most reliable narrators on their own experiences with marginalization! Transfems are not the authority on what non-transfems experience, just as transmascs are not the authority on what non+transmascs experience!
CRIPES, it's almost as if marginalized people don't hold the sole knowledge and authority even of bigotry that primarily targets them! It's almost as if bigotry isn't neat and clean and is in fact based in, idk, NOT respecting people's actual identities?! It's almost as if the person bleeding at the end of the day is the target and victim of any kind of bigotry?!
Fuck, man. I'm tired of this shit. The disabled community in general does it. The neurodivergent community does it. The autism community does it. The ADHD community does it. The personality disorder community does it. The mobility disability community does it. The chronic illness community does it. The cognitive/intellectual disability community does it. The plural community does it. The traumagenic community does it. The endogenic community does it. The dissociative disorder community does it. The general queer community and general trans community does it. The transfem community does it. The transmasc community does it. The nonbinary community does it. The ace community does it. The aro community does it. The lesbian community does it. The gay community does it. On and on and on and on and ON.
Your identity makes you an authority on your own lived experiences. Your time in a community, if you listen and learn, can often make you at least a reasonably reliable authority on broader experiences within that community - though only if the community itself is diverse in terms of other identities, and you are aware of the privileges and marginalizations you hold and how they are intersectional, and make an effort to make space for people who are comparatively marginalized to you.
And as this post demonstrates, there's a reason for that paragraph of caveats. You will always have more authority to say "this marginalized identity DOES struggle with this" than "this marginalized identity DOESN'T struggle with this". Because the thing, is, the former is saying "at least some of us face this". The latter is saying "none of us do, and if anyone says they do they're either lying or their experiences don't count and are not worth mentioning". If you say "none of us face this (or if any of us do it doesn't matter)", you're probably not fucking listening.
Having a marginalized identity also doesn't make you a reliable authority on what other identities do or don't experience, are or aren't harmed by, what they can and can't reclaim, the levels of violence and hate they face, the struggles that directly result from their identity (so, not just ones that come from external bigotry), and so on.
I dunno. I face danger from both transmisogyny and transandromisia daily. I have actual physical traits that are demonized or otherwise used to abuse me in common with both trans men and trans women. Most of these occurred without hormonal or surgical treatment; those that were made more prominent or occurred due to gender affirming care also straddle that line. I live in a barely red-violet area in an increasingly fascist state. I'm profoundly disabled and am unable to move, for more reasons than just money alone at this point. I'm sick and getting sicker because of abusive and ableist doctors. I have no energy left to fight. I may never be able to receive treatment for my most severe disabilities because my specific manifestation of the combination of MCAS, POTS, chronic pain, and likely ME/CFS eliminates MOST treatment options for those and my other disabilities. I'm also fat, am dealing with ongoing severe trauma from multiple sources, and am considered as "mad" and "stupid" (cognitive disabilities) as I am considered "crippled". I live far below the poverty line supporting myself and my partner on a single SSI income and a tiny stipend - one which still reduces my SNAP benefits to $23 per MONTH.
Like, I'm fighting the intersection of a half dozen different marginalizations. I'm out here LIVING the theory you're arguing about. I don't have time for people "well ackshually"-ing my real, ongoing trauma and oppression. I don't have the energy to hold understanding and compassion for people actively feeding into erasure of that!
Oh, and aside from intersex people, AMAB transmascs who face transmisogyny exist, asshole (@ the screenshot). Not that assigned gender actually is a reliable indicator of whether or not someone experiences transmisogyny either, but since people like them typically mean "AFAB trans person" when they say transmasc and "AMAB trans person" when they say transfem, it's worth noting. But that IS, btw, what people mean when they say tma/tme reduces people to their genitals. At least, their infant genitalia. Because sure, maybe a few people acknowledge that bottom surgery exists or tokenize intersex people to defend their use of it. But in common use, "tma" is only ever extended to people who are AMAB (or "AMAB-adjacent" if intersex, which itself is massively intersexist) and "trans enough" (which usually means being a womanhood or "femme enough", and only begrudgingly allows even transfem butches, let alone AMAB nonbinary people, into the term).
That's without even getting into how, even if some trans people MAY be LESS LIKELY to experience transmisogyny, none are truly ever "exempt". None of us sicko genderfreaks (in cis people's eyes) will ever be safe from transmisogyny for as long as it still exists.

Atsv Spoilers (not really or kinda depends on opinion I guess? Better safe then sorry) Just thinking about Spider Reader with the destroyed universe getting fucked over by YouTwo and snapping back with "Then just send me home!" and then the Go Home Machine failing cause there is no universe to send them back to. Miguel being horrified that he's made such a terrible mistake, Reader staring at Miguel with absolute hatred in their eyes so caught up in the euphoria of justified rage they don't realize that they've effectively trapped themselves in a neat container for safe keeping.
No but deadass I spent my entire overnight shift last night just like, literally brainstorming different and horrible ways Reader could be "kicked out" and one idea I thought of was, Reader gets confronted and accused of being YouTwo, and YT themself is there to help pour on the tears and treat you like such a nasty awful bully and make up all kinds of accusations and also just different little ideas on things the SS does to make Reader spiral into WANTING to leave (like for example what if Reader and Miguel have a big argument because you were there during like the second movie and you're like "O'Hara what you said to that kid was genuinely so fucked up" and start avoiding him which drives him crazy, more so than you usually make him by just existing anyways
Imagine if instead of using the machine to send you home, YouTwo just strides up and basically suckerpunches you and steals your bracelet right off your wrist, saying you can just glitch out and go home that way (because YT is literally trying to fucking kill you at this point)
You're just glitching and you're crying and SCREAMING in terror, because even if you've been so depressed you were contemplating suicide, ideation is different than HAPPENING RIGHT NOW, and NOW you don't have a choice, and you're getting hysterical BEGGING "I'll go somewhere else and never come back! Don't do this! Don't take my bracelet! I'll die!! I'll die!!" And most of them don't believe you because they're convinced this is another manipulation attempt by the person they THINK you are and they don't want to give you the bracelet because they don't want "fake you" to come back
Some of them, though, realize you're just a bit TOO upset, and that maybe something really IS wrong. You start looking at people and calling them out by name, trying to recall specific events and memories, but many are convinced that "you" were so devoted on spying and copying "the real you" that you must have had them bugged or stalking them and just overheard these moments. They're all so tricked that maybe YouTwo even claims they had a diary that you stole, and that's how you know everything
These are people you've spent months and months if not a few YEARS with, being their friend, training with them, fighting alongside them, helping them through grief and loss, and suddenly you realize, oh my fucking god if you weren't a Spider and they didn't think you still had a home universe to protect, still had a home universe that would collapse without you, would they actually fucking kill you? Like imagine the horror at realizing the unspoken threat and knowing they WANT to kill you or significantly harm you, that they WOULD kill over something like this, over what is essentially just... personal beefing? Idk but, I was also thinking, what if YouTwo had actually sabotaged the elevator project from the other idea I had, so, maybe they've been up to all kinds of dangerous shit
(As a side bar, imagine Miguel investigating the accident bc he thinks the whole like suddenly falling apart thing was very sus and maybe there had been an explosion and upon investigating he learns "you" planted bombs and he like. Gently confronts you about it like "I know you've been stressed and feeling like you need to prove yourself but you can't do things like this" and you're just like. Goddamn that hurts for him to just not even, doubt it was you, maybe YT has created some sort of alibi. He doesn't like, punish you or anything, but, you just kind of blow up at the accusation and I think it'd be pretty entertaining if you're like, "ok you know what, fuck you actually, I'm going to go live in the normal part of the city" and he doesn't even, take that seriously, he just sort of acts like you're throwing a tantrum but he's like, clearly not wanting to punish you even though he's obviously disappointed in you, for something you didn't even do, ouch)
But anyways, so, I've thought about how Reader would get the bracelet back, and it's ranged from "Reader saying something only the true you would know, something that was private or no one else would know about but you and certain witnesses" to "Reader has a food allergy certain people know about but YouTwo doesn't so you just say 'ok bitch watch me prove this shit and also fuck you' and you deliberately eat the thing and go into straight anaphylactic shock out of spite"
YouTwo fakes an allergy attack and says you poisoned them and you're just like "oh you wanna see a REAL allergic reaction bitch" *starts seizing after licking an almond joy*
But no anyways back to more serious ideas, you're just, starting to glitch out more and more, screaming and begging "don't kill me!" and Miguel is starting to wonder if maybe he should just give the bracelet back, he's got an, uncomfortable feeling, and A Lot of Spidey Senses start going off and you're freaking out because you literally think you're about to die (although for closure I like to think you just, bounce somewhere else, and you'll maybe keep bouncing before you find another sort of anchor, and also for spite of course i like to think of that anchor being another Miguel, like either you naturally "settle" there or he gets you a dimensional watch)
And my preferred preference of routes here varies. "YouTwo exposes themself on accident by saying some dumb shit" to "you say something only you would know, something like extremely personal, like maybe you even stalk up to Miguel and bring up something he said to you about losing his family and like, how you respected him for going through all that and how you were glad he was the society's/your leader and he barely gets that bracelet on before you vanish" to "asking YouTwo to prove theyre you by answering certain questions" to "they realize youre telling the truth but literally JUST as theyre about to put the watch back on, you vanish" to, finally, "you cant prove your innocence fast enough and they genuinely do just let you fucking disappear on purpose but instead of dying you just go somewhere else until you meet a different Miguel who rescues you and now you're like hardcore trauma bonded to that man because you were just bouncing around terrified until you found him and he's just like insanely protective of you and you're just kind of, glued to his side bc you only feel safe when he's there to protect you, because you're scared of, everyone at this point, like totally traumatized by what happened and also if you're with him 24/7 you can't be swapped out and he won't think you're a fake and try to kill you right?? Ha ha you aren't traumatized at all :) and it just makes your hero all the more, attached to hear all that you went through, from the beginning, and see what it did to you, and it 'definitely' isnt feeding into any extremely intense feeling of his that you WANT to be with him 24/7"
Ok actually that concept is about to highjack this post, I need to swing back to that later bc there's some real potential in, like, Reader being like so extremely fucked up over what happened that it immediately thrusts you into the arms of another terrible situation. Like you just got straight betrayed and "murdered" by all of your friends, like basically your entire social community, and Miguel2 is now the only one you can trust, and meanwhile he feels genuine empathy for you and is angry at the people who hurt you and he just kind of vows to protect you, and, I like to think, maybe Reader has time before they glitch between worlds (unless you just, magically settle again like you did in the other Nueva York, maybe you're a mutant or your destiny is tied to Nueva York or at least staying alive.) so maybe he literally develops the tech to anchor you down within like, the days you have there, maybe it's a 3 day time limit. So, now you've got just him and you, no Spider Society, no original Miguel, and maybe you just kind of totally fall in love with this dude, but of course Miguel 1 is obviously horrified by what he did to you when he somehow finds out you're still alive. Like an anomaly villain breaks into your new home and, oh great here are some of your old friends and your ex, um, boss showing up and he's just, speechless when it becomes obvious youre the same one. Like imagine you tried to not even speak to them and avoid them to try and keep your new life but youre so obviously scared of them and you accidentally look in your original Miguel's eyes and he knows immediately it's you. Bruh his PAIN AND REGRET when he steps forward to try and embrace you in relief and joy bc oh my god you aren't dead, and you just flinch away from him, maybe you even cling to the new Miguel, and the original just. He's ready to fucking fight. He wants you back, he wants to apologize, he wants to be able to make things up to you and go back to how things used to be, especially if he has feelings he had wanted to act on, whether being more romantic or just more platonically affectionate in general, more open and vulnerable with you, but never got to before the YouTwo wrecking ball came swinging through
But yeah I'm just. Thinking of dramatic painful ideas and grinding them up and snorting them like crack. I think it's the whole "you burned me and now you're groveling for my forgiveness" that does it for me 🤌

I'll start with: even tho flint is famous for being in a region with like, 3 fire type lines in the dex, he is imo not the worst divergence from from his Elite 4 Type. I'd argue that crown goes to Agatha and Lance: Agatha has one common type among her pokemon in most gen 1, being the only elite 4 member where that's the case. It's not their ghost. It's poison. Lance mostly has flying types. And also, in every game except BW2, he has a pokemon that knows hyperbeam, and I'm very game except BW2, Stadium, and HGSS, ALL OF HIS POKEMON KNOW HYPERBEAM. And in let's go, he has Seadra on his team, cause Kingdra isn't available, but still that's neat! However this means he has 1 (one) actual dragon type on his team.
Lucius (Sinnoh) is kinda just Will (Johto) 2. They're both psychic trainers, and the only ones in their respective Elite 4's to fully stay On Type. Plus the design similarities.
Speaking of Will, according to Bulbapedia: "There is data in Pokémon Crystal for the gender of every Trainer class in the game, with the exception of Eusine. This is used to select which dialogue pool to sample from when randomly choosing the opponent's dialogue. Interestingly, Will is one of two male characters to be identified as female in this array. The other is Bugsy."
I have been trying to find anything about this (there is no citation or clear info on how this worked) but I have trouble thinking it was faked bc sure, Bugsy, notably androgynous okay. But Will????? Just Some Guy??? (Though there is a... Theory? Idk how widespread. That Lorelei like. Transitioned into Will. Bc of their similarities. Which sure. Why not)

i talked previously on how i just love thinking about the paths characters are and what it means about their character or story and nothing makes it more obvious than going "of course, what else but erudition" at jade, realizing I forgot to even register what path firefly is but going "uuuh, destruction. what else could she be" and just checking for confirmation.
so i guess i'll loosely define what personality traits i personally think each path represents (very very loosely bc it really does depend on the character and there's a wide spectrum for interpretation. i'll put some examples). and right away i'll tell you i do not have harmony figured out. it's the hardest path. like, i'll try, but i am not confident.
also i'll say this, none of these "personality traits" are inherently good or bad. like for erudition i used the word "manipulator" bc i have no other word i can put down but i dont meant it in a bad way. jing yuan manipulates people all the time but it's generally for the greater good.
destruction: pretty literal. linked to destructive behavior (hook) or destruction of others and/or the self (blade/firefly). dan heng IL is so neat because technically he is so non-confrontational and doesn't Want to be destructive but it's his past self that carries it over. like, he can't escape it, it still haunts him and that is why his true path is destruction. delicious, right? also destruction of bonds (unwillingness to reconnect with jing yuan etc.) clara is the hardest to interpret but if you got a big robot with you that fires lasers then idk what to tell you
erudition: chess players, manipulators, "genius/smart". do i need examples? it's so self explanatory. easiest path to interpret for real. i think argenti is the weirdest one to be erudition, but we also dont know much about him yet and i think he's plenty smart and manipulative just. in a very eccentric way?
hunt: "has a goal to follow" in the simplest terms. very narrowed in on that goal. stubborn. (yanqing wants to get stronger, dan heng wants to be free/escape his past etc. etc.)
nihility: disconnected from people or the world around them. (in different ways. welt is from a different dimension and guinaifen works mainly online but both disconnects them from the people around them. which doesnt mean they cant form bonds or care about people)
preservation: very simple and obvious but a protector type. "by the book" (doesn't cheat). upfront. (you'd think aventurine would be the outlier but i maintain that he's more honest than people expect him to be and he hates cheating. so he plays by the rules even if he bends them and he HAS a protective instinct. i personally actually think march is the outlier here who's a bit hard to pin down but what can you expect from a girl who doesnt even really know herself)
abundance: researcher type. fascinated with humanity in one way or another. (so so hard to pin them down but i think this fits broadly, at least for now, even for gallagher. may change the more abundance characters we get. dont mention huo huo, Please, she's like a harmony/abundance hybrid anyways. and she IS fascinated with humanity ok, fascinated how confident her coworkers are anyways)
harmony: bro please, idk. look at the characters we have and tell me what they have in common. i'm dying i'm in the desert and i have no water. i WOULD have said administrators/bureaucrats who are willing to take on responsibility but then sparkle happened so i don't know anymore. also she's playing a character so what do we REALLY know about her. how about "puts their all into things". "commits"(to the bit). that feels vaguely right.
so anyways this is what i have so far. i've thought more about some than others, obviously, i have my favorite characters, but i think this can at least for now broadly apply.

time for me to be obnoxious about an april fool's game at almost may wahoo ft. an unexpected moment of character analysis because i have no chill

i hope this game is canon because rouge doing petty pickpocketing is my favorite thing actually

i could go on about how much i love these kids being unhinged and chaotic but unless i want to reblog this post a million times i have to cut it down. let it be known that i adore the kids and their antics tho
you know what i also adore? blaze committing crimes in the chaos dimension because she can get away with it. i think i need more of that in my life actually
although right after he says he doesn't wanna do more crimes i'd like to think he grows out of that opinion eventually. let the little guy steal stuff i want him to hang with rouge and have her make him worse actually
look here shadow's had it rough in the writing department for a while but i very much appreciated this plot point of him going out of his way to get concert tickets for amy and even (reluctantly) agreeing to go with her to said concert even if it isn't his cup of tea. i know it's more presented as him trying to y'know be polite and considerate and he's going about it in an edgy way but i'd like to think it's just his way of presenting things if you will? like he know what amy's favorite band is and sees how hard the tickets are to get so he goes out of his way to get them because he cares about his friend and knows how much attending a concert like that would mean to amy. and in terms of this screenshot in particular i also appreciate amy appreciating her friends' presence at her party even if they hadn't gotten her anything! sure it does kinda come across as her being bummed about not getting gifts from them and maybe she is but i think that's okay? like she's 12 (or 13 now i guess?) getting excited about presents is pretty normal, and it's not like she's super upset about it anyway. i think she genuinely appreciates her friends attending her party more than anything
i also found this a lovely little detail lol and it does kinda make sense! the bitch has been in stasis for 50 years and computer technology has taken leaps in that time, of course he'd be a lil rustier with them compared to his peers
more on shadow, this guy's brain goes overdrive the second he realizes he fucked up and needs to get something nice for his friend now. like i don't have the brain power to form it into words atm but i just love what this all says about him as a character!!
i could flail about the art in this game the whole evening honestly it's so lovely and colorful and pretty and i love how this scene is composed and shadow being seated on the windowsill idk this just put a big smile on my face when i saw it :)
frankly obsessed with amy's unhinged energy can we please get more of this bc i live for it
the fucking blowdart. i cannot tell you how fucking off the walls these teens are like espio's instructed to use a blowdart on sonic with non-lethal poison and he's like yeah that checks out and sonic's just like wow cool guess i'll snooze for a bit then like this shit is exactly why teenagers should be given superpowers and be put into Situations(TM) i love it

THE FREAKIN WARRIOR CATS ROLEPLAY. I know EXACTLY how it feels to be dragged into a WCRP when you've never read the books or know anything about the series, more middle school trauma for you there

Ok in regards to actual Discord, I freakin love him. Again, I was playing this game with a friend, and she said his trans experience was so relatable to her. Then I spoke with another friend and he said the same thing. We all agree he's very gender looking, even tho two of us are femme XD
When we finished the Good Ending my friend said that Discord's feminine persona looked a lot more fake than initially thought now that we knew the truth, and that's honestly great character building. The maze was such an interesting way to get to know Discord better too, even if all the mythology reference were askew lol
I think both versions of Discord are incredibly cute and adorable but Masc Discord is my favorite cause he just looks so much more comfortable in his own skin if you know what I mean? Or maybe I'm just projecting idk
I've actually hit 12 photos already so idk why Tumblr wont stop me from adding more. Maybe it's different on desktop than mobile idk
Anyway I loved both routes and I wish I could gush about them more but I have a certain social experiment session in an hour (shoutout to the two people who actually read through my experiment tag) so I'll just leave it here

ep 1 pilot
haven't seen a lot of it, mostly that people like it, that it's made by people people really like and that it's gay (or at least people make it gay) so you know, good pick for me. and i just watched to animations/animatics on youtube with bad endings and bad endings fuck me up, so hopefully this is happier.
intro is a fucking banger. also god has a fem voice? nice.
accurate skin colour for the earliest humans. not surprised, but appreciated.
making fun of theology and great banter? i love it.

i REALLY hope they don't expect me to remember these names too well. many of the characters seem fun though.

My Beef With Barbara Gordon
I'll start off by saying this isn't any hate post to the character, merely an analysis because although she's never really stood out to me, i believe she's an interesting character and I'd like to share my point of view and if possible hear others' takes on her too
the basics, babs is the daughter of commissioner gordon and the first batgirl, later taking on the mantle of oracle (usually because of the killing joke thing, which I'll address later on)
usually the reason i don't get along with most representations of babs is because she's mostly written to be "the girl bat" instead of "the bat girl". I've only seen some clips from btas but i can mostly tell that's the case. it's a smurfette syndrome classic. i apologize if I'm getting the wrong idea out of it, though, as i said, I didn't watch the series.
when she's not written as such, she can be a good character. i love her version of the harley quinn show, i think it fits what I'd usually expect out of batgirl//oracle, a computer nerd who wants to help people and might be a little impulsive, but means well. though there's not much media of her where she's like that.
and although she's not exactly like that in the lego batman movie, i think that version is also pretty good (not when she's introduced, i think she gets better when she shows bruce that she's batgirl and yk, badass and such). not a computer nerd and also a bit older, but i think she's pretty neat.
I'll admit the fact she gets with bruce in the timmverse (specifically in the timmverse) pisses me off... age gap things are not my thing and it feels like grooming, i believe that's why it's not a very popular ship for either but the fact it's official in at least one dc media makes me sweat (cough cough and they say superbat is a stretch cough cough /j)
like i just mentioned with the lego batman movie, i have no problem with it when they're about the same age or, idk, at least he doesn't meet her as a teen or whatever. I'm not crazy for finding this weird, right?
and there's the fact she dated dick on the timmverse as well, which makes me even MORE uncomfortable. if it was me dating my father's previous lover, for example, I'd probably take that as a weird thing. dick is already traumatized enough, thank you very much.
and also she's bruce's friend's daughter? that's not so weird, i myself have friends who are way older or way younger, but it be creepy af to see one of them dating someone my age, specially if it was someone close to me, I'd be very concerned and it'd take a while for me to get used to it.
but yeah, if it's an au or multiverse shenanigans, it can be alright.
and then comes the killing joke thing... honestly, I don't know what to do out of it. I'm a new dc fan, I've been for nearly six months now, and I can't really decide how to feel about it.
on one hand, oracle is badass and shows that it doesn't take superpowers or immense dexterity or inhuman strength to be a hero. i respect her a lot, and when she's written well like in wfa, i appreciate her character as is.
but the killing joke itself... it doesn't make much out of barbara, and focuses more on her father and personally i think that sucks. i know it must hurt for a dad to see his daughter paralyzed, but joker using it as a means to make him snap doesn't seem, idk, very jokery. even with the picture things, i think babs in that situation is used more as a plot device than as a character and it makes me uncomfortable idk.
and then they made her able to walk again...? honestly that's where i lost it. there are too many versions of batgirl//oracle in my head already and that just made me more confused??
so the reason I don't like her as much is because she lacks consistency, every time I'm reading about her i gotta guess which version is it and every single piece feels more like au fanfiction of itself. like, okay, i do enjoy those, but if I'm seeking something official it's hard to understand where it's at.
but i still love her with every cell in my body when she's written like the true sarcastic girlboss that she is <3

Was bored and kind of had a neat little MCD idea where Gene and Dante swap roles but only kinda?? It's weird but I'll try to explain it I guess lol. Also will probably be a long one again cuz I have many thoughts and need to put them somewhere lmao.
So at first,nothing with Gene and Dante's whole backstory changes, Gene is still a scheming dubious hoe that Dante still looks up to anyway. But things change regarding the issue with the lord's daughter. Idk what to do exactly but I was thinking that either Gene doesn't come up with this idea at all or he does think about it but ultimately never goes through with it. Either way, one of those things happen so in the end Gene never messes with anyone's memories and life is still the same as always... or is it?
While taking a break of sorts from his duties, Gene spends some time with Dante and they probably have like a picnic or something idk. Anyways, they end up getting attacked by bandits and unfortunately said bandits snatch up Dante and use him as a ransom of sorts against Gene. The bandits basically demand that Gene steal a huge amount of gold from the lord for them or else they'll kill Dante. Gene obviously doesn't want to lose his precious little bro, so he leaves the area hesitantly and heads straight to the lord's home. He explains to the lord about the situation and essentially asks his lord if he can just willingly give the gold to the bandits so that Dante can be saved. The lord thinks about this but ultimately says no as he claims that the village was on hard times and really needed that gold to stay afloat. Gene understands this but is also very upset about the situation as he desperately wants to save his brother.
Gene does consider just stealing the gold behind his lord's back but he then comes up with a plan that's better in his mind. He'll just order his guards to perform some sort of sneak attack on the bandits and brutally kill all of them for even thinking of trying to harm Dante. After creating the plan, properly organizing it and going over it with his men, they launch this plan into action. Everything seems to be going okay at first but it wouldn't stay that way forever. With most of the bandits distracted, Gene goes to grab Dante but the bandits' leader steps in and blocks Gene from doing such a thing. The two get into a fight and when Gene tries to stab the leader in the chest, the bandit does something supremely fucked up. He grabs poor Dante and uses the child as a human shield, meaning that Gene ends up stabbing Dante instead of the leader. Gene is obviously in shock and is mortified at what he's done. The bandit leader laughs in Gene's face before telling the bandits to just surrender and retreat which they do.
Dante dies in Gene's arms almost instantly and Gene... he has no idea what to do or say. I imagine he doesn't even cry because of the amount of shock of what just happened. Dante's funereal happens but nobody in the village blames Gene for what happened, not even Gene and Dante's parents who reassure Gene that there was nothing that could have been. And Gene hates it so much. Because Gene thinks himself as nothing but a filthy murderer that doesn't deserve forgiveness so it pisses him off that people are being so understanding towards him. He probably snaps at his parents at least once because how DARE they forgive him for murdering Dante, for murdering his own brother, for murdering their son. Gene quits being head guard and isolates himself from everyone, including his own family because of the guilt that's eating him alive. He failed his little brother, that he always swore to protect, so he doesn't feel worthy to be trusted with protecting an entire village of people. There's also the guilt that settles in from the fact that he schemed his way to get that position so he especially doesn't feel worthy of such a job. He's actually becoming aware of what a shithead he was.
The pain and the guilt from all of this became too much for Gene and eventually... he decides to leave his village and never return. Without Dante, Boboros didn't feel like home anymore. He also couldn't walk around the village without being constantly reminded of his sweet little brother that should still be alive right now. Gene just couldn't do it anymore so he packed up some of his things and quietly left his old village behind in the dead of night. But not before using his magicks to make everyone, even his parents forget who Gene was completely. He didn't want anyone coming after him but he also believed that someone as awful as him shouldn't be remembered by anyone. Everyone still had the memory of what happened to Dante but Gene altered it so that everyone would think that Gene was just some random disgusting killer that took Dante's life, exactly how he viewed himself now.
Gene proceeded to just wander around the Ru'aun region, staying in random villages for a little amount of time before moving onto the next. He became a lost soul of sorts, growing into a reserved and quiet person who keeps to himself. All motivation for life had died the day his brother died and for awhile it seemed that it would stay that way forever. Until Gene accidentally gets too close Eastern werewolf territory and finds himself being thrown in their prison. He kind of shrugs it off as he's been through worse on his travels. Of course he meets Donna and Logan who also accidentally trespassed onto this territory and got thrown in jail for it. But he also doesn't know how to react when they treat him rather nicely (well that's mostly Donna but still). After so many years of being alone, he isn't sure how to accept other people being kind to him whatsoever especially when his self-esteem is horrendously low. So he prompts to not say anything in response (not like he was much of a talker anyway). But yeah just like canon, Donna escapes with Gene from the Eastern werewolf tribe but unfortunately have to leave Logan behind. And it's the first time in a long time for Gene when he feels this great urge to help someone in need like this. And maybe that has to do with the fact that this situation is a little similar to what happened with his brother and Gene will be damned if someone else had to go through the same pain he did.
Meeting Aphmau is... kinda awkward at first. Because for one: Gene hasn't interacted with a lord in ages and he still has some bad blood towards his old lord that he served once upon time. But then there's also the second thing: Aphmau reminds him a little of Dante and that is definitely still a sore spot for him. So yeah, Gene's even more quiet around Aphmau then he is with like Donna or just other people in general. Aphmau at first thinks she accidentally offended him somehow but learns from Donna that Gene is just kinda like that for whatever reason. Aphmau understands and tries to not make Gene uncomfortable but conversation proves to be hard with how quiet Gene is. They're very awkward with each other until they end up in Malachi's castle. Gene being a magicks user himself immediately senses that something is very off with this place and his protective instincts kick in. It doesn't matter that he hasn't known Aphmau for long because again, he's not going to make the same mistakes as before. He's not going to let someone else die because he didn't do enough to protect them like a proper guard should. Like a proper older brother should. Gene used to be a hardcore con artist but now he's given up that lifestyle, now he's going to prove himself worthy to wear the armor and wield the sword of a guard.
Aphmau is unable to convince Gene to not go by himself so she waits until he's deemed that the coast is clear. But then she gets tired of waiting and goes after Gene herself. And just like in canon, Aphmau eventually finds Gene but he's cast under Malachi's fear magick, muttering the name 'Dante' over and over again. Aphmau as per usual sees her own worst fear which of course shakes her but she was certainly not prepared to be hit with Gene's worst fear nor the contents of what said fear was.
The vision Malachi shows her, tosses Aphmau into a middle of a fight between what she assumes are guards and bandits. Things are clearly intense but in the midst of all the fighting she sees a 12 year old boy being held against his will but what she assumes is the bandit leader. Then she sees Gene, who looks a little younger, running towards the leader and engaging in a fight with him. She sees Gene make an attempt to stab the leader but what happens next makes Aphmau sick to her stomach. The leader grabs the young boy, using him to shield Gene's fatal attack, meaning that Gene had accidentally stabbed the boy instead of the enemy. It's clear that Gene felt the same way as Aphmau as he dropped his sword, immediately holding the boy close while being almost in a complete state of shock. She hears the leader laugh and sees him run off with his fellow bandits. The boy had died by then and Gene was still in a horrified shock at what just happened. Then the world around them turns into a black abyss, the young boy's mouth suddenly turning into a twisted grin as he looks up at Gene. The boy begins telling Gene that he's awful, that he's a terrible murderer and that he'll never forgive Gene for what he's done. Gene finally starts sobbing as the boy continues to say these things over and over again, blood pouring out of his mouth as he continues to talk.
Aphmau suddenly snaps out of the vision and looks over at Gene in great concern. She had no idea what she just saw but it chilled her to the bone nonetheless. The rest of this section would be the same with Garroth and Laurance losing their shit with that fake illusion of Aphmau kissing someone else (which I personally find DUMB but that's a post for another time). Gene is definitely not pleased to be woken up and have a very angry brunette threatening him for some reason. Boy is just highly confused and has no idea what is going on anymore. Also I imagine Gene is very uncomfortable/scared of Malachi at first due to the fact that the ghost straight up psychologically tortured him and that's not something you get over so easily. He warms up to the kid eventually but he's gotta have some time to recuperate after reliving one of the most traumatic moments of his life. And speaking of trauma, Aphmau being the way she is will inevitably try to talk with Gene about what she saw but it doesn't go well initially. He just brushes her off and says he's fine despite the fact that he's clearly not. Aphmau lets it go at first but is still concerned and hopes that Gene talks with her eventually.
Gene does do that and for the first time in awhile, he actually tears up as he tells Aphmau his story. It feels weird to him as expressing emotions hasn't been something he does as of late but he almost feels comfortable doing that around Aph. Probably because at that point he would've warmed up to her more but also her reminding him of Dante had something to do with it. After hearing this, Aphmau proceeds to hug this poor, traumatized man and reassure him that what happened to Dante was not his fault whatsoever. Gene has a hard time believing it but appreciates the comfort anyway. It's been a long time since Gene has been hugged too...
Because Gene never died and became a Shadow Knight, he actually does age here. I hc specifically that Gene is about 4 or so years older than Garroth and Laurance so the dynamic is a little different here. Garroth gets a tad nervous around Gene because he sees Gene as an authority figure that should be respected as he has more experience than Garroth. Garroth lowkey thinks Gene is a little cool even if he's weird. Laurance, however, does not give a fuck about respecting authority and does not like Gene at first (which partially has to do with the kissing incident lmao). But Laurance starts viewing the other differently after he overhears Gene talking with Aphmau. Laurance feels a little bad for Gene as no one should go through such a thing. He still sasses Gene but it becomes more playful rather than full on venomous like it was before. Gene is confused but just goes along with it. But as for Gene's POV of his relationships with Garroth and Laurance, he's awkward at first (as per usual with this sad, pathetic and technically homeless man lol) but soon enough he ends claiming the two guards as his younger brothers. Whether they like it or not does not matter because nothing will stop Gene from his spontaneous adoption tendencies. And while I don't think I need to say this at this point but he also adopts Aphmau as his younger sister.
There's more I can add to this for sure but right now I kinda ran out of ideas so maybe I'll do more with this another time. Also I'm unsure if I should either keep Dante dead or turn him into a Shadow Knight. Cuz if I did do the Shadow Knight route, I'd make it so that Shad alters his memories and like makes Dante hate Gene or something. Idk I still have to think about it more.

if you had been writing the women in metal gear what would you change with them (a lot i know) because i feel like just the idea of women being written well in metal gear will benefit us all
I'm answering but just so we all know my qualifications here are just that I'm a woman I am not a writer or game designer or whatever also as it goes on I get more pissed off so it gets a little messy structure wise hope that's ok anyways here's what I wrote:
Um ok, so it would take sooo long to write a full structured analysis so I'll give little things for each character. Uhh mgs1 make Meryl less of just a flat love interest stand-in because the rest of her backstory in that game feels like it’s shoehorned in to make it seem like she has actual character when she's just meant as the glorified damsel in distress (not to say she can't need help but a lot of it felt like a bunch of "leave me Snake, I can't help you I'm just a GIRL!!"). Also, this is just my personal HC but it would add so much to her if she was transgender but it's not like NEEDED- anyway also Naomi was meant to be brown idk what happened but I would return her melanin to her I think.
Mei Ling is mostly fine character-wise but I would remove all of Snake's weird advances and comments about her. I would actually remove that from all of his interactions with women in that game I think.
OH and Sniper Wolf should put the thangs away I'm thinking like a fur coat and also I want her whole character to be more than just a sexy lady with a tragic past. her speaking in a seductive voice 80% of the time and just being honestly creepy was stupid. I think she could just be a person maybe. that would be cool I think. She could've been just tough and standoffish and then revealed her true feelings as she was dying instead of all the weird seductive stuff
Ok now Mgs2, Fortune is pretty much fine but I wish she didn’t have her booty cheeks out on the seemingly cold big shell bc Raiden was shivering and sneezing like a little wet dog when he lost his suit so I'd assume she’s cold too. if she was wearing some cool pants or something that would be neat but other than that I think she's pretty well written.
next Emma ummm her personality itself isn't the issue to me but I didn’t like how Raiden was kind of creepy towards her (not really but like. “You should wear contacts” I'll punch him maybe).
Also, she should've had a cooler outfit but that's it. Honestly, I’d have to rewatch or replay Mgs2 to get a good grasp of her character but I see no crazy issues.
Rosemary omg I think she’s fine but I hated how it kind of felt like it was Raiden and Campbell vs Rose and she always loses even in non-canon codecs it was so annoying. Other than that once again I will have to listen to the codecs again because I haven't heard all of them in a while. Actually, I just remembered I didn't like how she was kind of written to be oddly insecure?? Ig?? I mean she spent a lot of time in codecs talking about personal stuff and not the mission which I guess was intentional but I found it odd. Olga’s fine no notes. Don’t think there's anyone else.
(skipping mgs3 bc it only has 3 women and I think they’re all written ok I don't have many issues.)

other than that Meryl was actually really good until the final part on outer haven that was so bad “I can't protect anyone” or whatever she said girl fuck off the only reason she said that was so that big strong man Johnny Sasaki could come to save her omg fuck you also Johnny Sasaki should die that's crucial to this
anyway, Mei Ling was fine but I’d remove the codec call where Otacon and Snake say that Mei Ling probably just slept with older men to get to her job position I just think I wouldn't have that in the game probably.
Naomi ok so I haven't finished mgs1 so I can't tell you exactly if what she does in Mgs4 is fucked up compared to how she is in mgs1 I mean personality wise but also I was eating a really gross ass sandwich when I watched one of her long cutscenes and it skewed my perception of her a bit oh also I would personally like to button her shirt up for her.
uh idk Rose once again was fine but also I’m killing everyone for the mistranslation from the JP version of mgs4 that in English made her seem like some evil liar idk anyway you look that up if you really wanna know it’s on Twitter.
uh who else does Sunny count doesn't matter she's fine no issues.

Because I skipped 3 games I’ll do MGR Courtney her character itself was fine I didn't like the codecs where 1 Raiden jokes that she should get lipo and 2 the call that's just Raiden and Kevin talking about how much they don't wanna date her also her design is so like beauty standards boring as shit at least make her look cool or something idk.
and Mistral I’m so tired of femme fatale characters in Metal Gear it’s not cute it’s not like empowering the way it’s done her entire character is sexualized and it is JUST because she's a woman. I said this about Wolf too it’s hard to feel bad for a character’s sad war backstory when it is also very clear they’re just meant to be a sexual object with no substance it’s not cute either it's just stupid.
Also, there’s other stupid sexist codecs about her too obviously lastly uh Sunny’s also in it she's fine whatever

(You don't have to look further into Harvest Moon but If you do look for a lets play of sorts or something Harvest Moon DS/DS Cute & Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town/More Friends of Mineral Town (Gameboy) are the ones that from my knowledge look the most visually similar to Stardew Valley. But Harvest Moon Animal Parade takes place in a coastal/island-like town.)
The dynamics seem like they'll be really fun! It was also nice to hear the reasoning behind it all. You've put a lot of thought into how they interact. I'm excited for future scenarios ^^ I really enjoyed reading all of it. Also thanks for talking about them as siblings. You don't have to apologize for not answering tho, you can always not answer, I'll understand.
Addionally, I think it's really cool how the lionfish worked out ^^
Okay so for BigB's tail, I wanted to give proper ideas, I only came up with three sorta suggestions so I’ll also share my thought process a bit so that maybe that instead will help you further decide what you do or don’t want. So my first thought was a shark. I’m not entirely sure that’s, like, equivalent to Scar being a lionfish but I think that the reason I considered the idea is that sharks can be dangerous but, like, also they’re not as dangerous to humans as they're portrayed? Ya know what I mean, like I think it’s gotten better but like they were more feared than need be. Like I’m struggling with the words but do you get what I’m saying and the correlation? Idk. If not that's okay. I wasn’t really sure about sharks anyway. Next,
I searched for fish that burrowed. And I did this because I was thinking about why canary!BigB and rabbit!BigB exist and if I recall correctly him being in the mines/underground alot were overlapping points. (I woulda considered satyr!BigB but I know nothing about that. And thinking about it now dogs like to dig too and sometimes he’s got dog ears because double life so I think this is an okay hole I went down). I’m too indecisive and picky and wasn't sure what kind of fish you'd like though so I only have three fish to present to you as options so hopefully if none of these strike a chord with you. This whole thing helps somehow:
1, The Bonnethead Shark. Yea I found a shark that burrows. So even though I wasn’t entirely sure about sharks and I gave up on finding small sharks, I thought I’d share this one. Besides sharks are cool even if many fear them & Jimmy & Grian come to think BigB's cool right? So maybe that lines up?
(Also did you know that sharks used to be called "sea dogs" and that there is a Dogfish Shark, I didn't do much research so I can't give it as a suggestion but I just looked it up while typing this so I thought I'd mention it.)
2, The Yellow Headed Jawfish, this fish was honestly just too pretty for me not to recommend. It’s got a bit of blue in its fins (and that’s really all I can give you on blue fish). Plus on a site that sells fish they were described as “playful and like to people watch” so I thought it might be fitting. Note though, if you look up this fish, you might come across images of it carrying lots of eggs in its mouth. That’s something they do, carry their eggs in their mouth. I did see a term for it but I forgot what it was. But if that’s gonna be too disturbing you might wanna be cautious(wasn't the first few images when I looked it up) or maybe not look it up just in case. But it is really pretty in my opinion if you do.
And lastly there's the Southern Stargazer. I guess it is considered an ugly fish so heads up on that? Personally, I do think looking at a close up of it's face while it's buried can be a bit spooky but also I think otherwise it's a bit fun to look at & its tail is neat. And it turns out they're also venomous, not enough to kill, but it's still painful, can cause swelling and induce shock. ("also" because Scar's a lionfish)
Speaking of, this fish is the closest one I found in terms of size to Lionfish not sure that matters to you but yea
I did attempt looking for, like, actually blue fish but like the Cichlid is a freshwater fish and Idk if it's a funny or cruel irony to suggest a damselfish when they are actually seen as food to lionfish if in a tank together. Especially when I don't know if it's true for all damselfish or just the yellow tailed ones. (Plus they don't do great in solitude which kept being a thing for blue fish but I think I mainly found, like, river fish.) But I guess this difficulty is probably part of the reason you said it didn't have to be a blue fish lol
Thanks for sharing what you do have so far for the side characters :3 Question: For the pub, does it include the arcade area and/or would the stage be in that general area?
Also it seems like a cool idea to include more creatures. Besides the spirits are there any you're thinking of but haven't decided who it could be? Or alternatively, any others you think you'd want to be something supernatural but haven't decided what yet?
And if it's not too much to ask, do you think that on an events timeline the potential Pearl arc would be closer to the beginning or further down the line.

I absolutely LOVE your idea for bigb as a shark, when I first read that I think I genuinely yelled out in excitement. You're a GENIUS. That's such a good idea, I really enjoy it and you got your point across well! I love canary/rabbit!bigb (my design for him is a bunny so this is RIGHT up my alley) and I love the idea of a burrowing fish and bonnethead shark is absolutely GENIUS. He was really fun to draw too!! Thank you SO much for the suggestion! I think I want a scaled fish design, though, but I still appreciate this one so much since it was SUCH an interesting idea. Sharks are sea puppies, dogs dig, rabbits also dig, so burrowing. Very logical line of thought from me.
Oh this guy is GORGEOUS!!!!! So pretty and so lovely. I think fish and the ocean is so cool so I thought the egg carrying is actually so fascinating so don't worry, both of the little warnings you gave about weird fish weren't necessary fish are awesome and cool forever. I don't know what to say, just a very pretty fish and fun to draw!!
The stargazer is SO HANDSOME!!! I can't believe its considered ugly :( I love that little connection to Scar's lionfish-ness, this is such a cool fish (the fins are gorgeous)

Answering questions time! Here's a little doodle of what the saloon looks like! (names still pending but probably something moon or dogwarts related) Theres a kitchen and backstage area somewhere but that doesnt matter right now :)
Man, I had one draft of this response where I had everything written out for other creatures but my computer restarted and didn't save it but I will try my best to write it out again!
I like the idea of fae or some kind of land-based creature, but I feel like fae are a really complex species and just in general such a large world to also incorporate if I do go for any land-based creatures, so I don't think I will sadly. Trying to think about this in terms of how I would tell the story in an actual piece of writing instead of these posts of loads of exposition, yknow? So, final verdict, no cool land creatures (except maybe werewolf because i am a sucker for some rendog werewolf fun) . I love avian stuff though so a very high likelihood of birds coming into play in at least some form? Birds are just so cool to me. Also, there are probably gonna be a decent variety in sea creature species! Like there are sirens, standard merfolk, and selkies so far but if I can think of another type of sea creature then i'll probably add them in. On the topic of sea creatures, an updated list on all the merfolk! (also if you want to see some other hermit mermaids, or mermits, check out jalo-parker's art from the past few weeks! we thought up some fish designs just for his own use and they're really cute, and if some of the humans were mermaids they would 100% be those)
Scar lionfish, Bigb yellowheaded jawfish, Bub whale shark, Cleo sea nettle jellyfish, Etho AND Bdubs selkies, Joe Hills leaf sheep nudibranch, and even though Martyn is a human if he was a mermaid he would be a mimic octopus! These aren't all of the merfolk, they're just the ones i've decided on and assigned a fish (or selkie) to :)
Also don't worry! I actually already have a barebones timeline for what I think is going to happen with the plot points I know so far! Jimmy and Grian move, hang out for like 4 days, then the whole siren plotline starts and ends, since everyone is now happy they have a good few months of just bonding with the merfolk and the townsfolk which I can't wait to think about more, then Pearl's whole arc starts! I think that's the natural progression of the plot as the stakes in Pearl's arc is the actual apocalypse bringing the end of the universe which is just a little bit more intense. I don't know a whole lot of the details about that quite yet though.
