Prompt: Reader is bisexual and gender neutral.
Reader is considered fairly attractive and gets flirted with pretty often by basically whoever gender wise. And maybe reader and Zelda even end up flirting a little bit. Reader would have a similar lackadaisical flirty personality as Warriors has.

so as theyre invited to eat dinner and explain in the rebuilding castle, everyone’s absorbed in shadow talk or smth, and u can see Zelda’s struggling to follow along, u just casually bring it back to her, as she’s also trying to write notes and theyve moved on too quickly w/o her

so this post might be pointless, and not to have yet another malconaire family thread running, but i was responding to aoife's comment <3 and i realized there's a lot i don't know about the girls' parents and i'd love to hash that out w you guys, if lizzy doesn't already know? @thelongforgottenrealm
ok so first id love to establish first names for our love birds? [ this site ] might help w that ;D next, id like to discuss a lil their timeline as well as the broader timeline re: valentina and her kids coming onto the scene etc, bc, for example, the thing tht actually spurred this comment was me realizing i have no idea if rosie remembers her mom at all!
speaking of, rosie's bio says she doesn't remember much abt when they were wealthy, so we know that she was still pr small when valentina arrived on the scene, and from that im guessing their mama died pr early into in her life but im not sure how long lord m was a widower -- was it decades? years? months? esp since the remarriage we now know was politically motivated it really could've been any timeframe at all since it wasnt him moving on, etc
but anway! yeah basically just a few basics would be great <3
so yeah to get us started imma start w what we know (using the first event as year 1 since im not sure what the years supposed to be plus lbr roderick's probs did smth stupidly dramatic like re-starting the calendar w year 1, day 1 being his coronation day etc smdh so who even knows whats going on)
year 1 -- birth of valentina (as a result of this being the first known malconaire event, this whole calendar is a timetable of valentina's ages when everything went down which is pr interesting for me as her rper heehee)

year 23 -- birth of eithne/presumably lord and lady m were married by this time, if not before?
year 25 -- birth of brigit
year 26 -- birth of saoirse
year 27 -- birth of aoife
year 29 -- birth of roisin/last known year in which lady m was def alive
year 48 -- surrender of astaira to roderick/battle of m may or may not have already taken place but obv would've been before the formal capitulation -- im guessing it was the same year tho since the v next battle led to the surrender, but anyway likely this is the year in which lord m died, and certainly he was dead by this time
year 50 -- the present
so some notes!! i believe @forgottencassimir said...somewhere haha that cassimir was probs abt ~teenage when valentina married lord m, so that puts the marriage likely between years 31-37, and we know that rosie hardly remembers their wealth at its full height, as well as the fact that valentina was the direct cause of its loss, so she was probs 6-8 when that happened, so that puts their marriage between years 35-37ish, most likely (also never fully appreciated the age gap between rosie and cassimir till i started really thinkin abt this alksdjfaklsdfj), so we're safe to say, i think, that lady m was def dead by year 37 also, i don't want to assume anything, but i do think we're pr safe to say that the battle of m took place in the year 48 and, therefore, that lord m died in year 48
this means that the smallest amount of time lord m spent without the woman he loved was 11 years SOB, and it ALSO means that at the smallest range valentina and he were married that long, and that its been at LEAST 13 years since the marriage of lord m and valentina and thus their kids have been siblings all that time/she's been their stepmom that long etc, but possibly for even longer!
are there any major events whose timetable we know that im forgetting? i feel like there are hahah but im drawing a blank

Maybe a 3? Like, I don't hate it but I'm not too fond of it either. I enjoy reading what I have written more often than not and I like putting [GERMAN WORD] or [TBD - WRITE SMTH ABOUT XY] ever so often while writing, but I don't enjoy changing the story afterwards much. I rarely change big things, usually only a scene or two and a few expressions. That said, I have to read every scene like 15 times before posting to scour for errors - and I am certain I am missing so many anyway.

Okay, let's go with fugitive Doctor/River. (Did you expect this by any chance? ;) )

People have been speculating that she is talking about 13, which I get, definitely. But I want to argue that it is the superior interpretation that she would be talking about the fugitive Doctor (or another incarnation the Doctor has forgotten about but where would be the fun in that?). For the following reasons:
Vibes. This is the important point. River says 12 reminds her of the wife, so they have to be alike-ish. And I feel like 12 and the fugitive Doctor have a certain similarity in their demeanour. I think a big thing is how they hold themselves upright, actually, but also the whole Danny calling 12 an officer when the fugitive Doctor actually is one. Also the underlying kindness both of them possess and the end-life-crisis. They both lose all of their companions (Clara, Bill and Nardole vs Karvanista, Gat and Lee - one lives on but they can never see them again/forget about them, the other two die (or that's what they believe at least) and it is their fault) and I would argue they both are thinking about not regenerating this time. (I reckon the fugitive Doctor does not have a choice though.)
Loss. See the last point. The Doctor loses everything in fotj. Give her her wife, at least, please. Let River bring her some love and companionship <3 13 loses a lot as well but she's got Yaz. Which also leads us to:
Thasmin. Like, you know, if River had been tangibly in the 13th Doctor's life in any way, thasmin would have kissed. 100%. They didn't, so River didn't marry 13, simple as that.
Timelines. River does not know about more faces of the Doctor and well, 13 is older than 12. Of course, she could lie to her and yes, River gets married a little carelessly, so she might have married some John Smith!13. But if she met the fugitive Doctor - who seems very different from the timelord she knows and has no recollection of the Doctor's life, it would be easy for her to draw the conclusion that the Doctor is just some other person going by that name. And the fugitive Doctor would forget about her, of course. There's also a good possibility, River isn't actually married to the Doctor but to Ruth.
Time, Doctor's side. Honestly, 13 just doesn't have enough time to get married to River. Am I still hoping we will get those two on screen (or audio) together? Of course! But 13 is kinda busy, most of the time we either see her with the fam (who don't know River, see lotsd) or very occupied with stuff (like apocalypses or prison).
So, yeah, headcanon: The fugitive Doctor is River's second wife.
(The first is Cleopatra, right? Like Idk if there is canon confirmation but it feels true.)

2. Strax fairytale!! written by you :)
Strax as a fairytale protagonist is SUCH an inspired idea and I am hoping very much that you will get round to it some day. But I can't really tell you anything about that that you don't know better yourself.
Or, maybe, I can: I have become kinda enarmoured with the 'Strax as the faithful Johannes' idea, I have always adored that tale, mainly for the tragedy and extremely strong friendship theme. Like, it is so clear that the king's most important relationship is his friendship to his servant. The princess is lovely but they barely know each other, yet. And I think there is SO much potential to improve the abduction scene and the ending. So, yeah, I have been turning that around in my head a bit.
But no matter which tale you will pick, if you ever write a fic for him, I am sure I will absolutely love it!

3. Heather is an integral part of s10 by @marvellouspinecone
You remember that genius powerpoint Pine made, I assume? Wouldn't it be spectacular if someone wrote that as a fic for me to read? I would choose Pine as the author because she understands the vision best, of course. But, like, I am so grateful already that the powerpoint exists for me to read and dream about :)

So, I actually enjoyed the 60th anniversary (at least wild blue yonder, that much very much had a premise of my type of dw ep) but I still believe we could have done better than bringing back dt for the umpteenth time. (Listen, he is lovely, don't get me wrong, and I liked '14' too, but just - )
I have written a post about why I think making the fugitive Doctor's face return would have been a more interesting choice and I would still love to read it as a fic.
I don't really care whether it would be a simple retelling of the three eps with her instead of tenteen or a completely different tale. I WOULD like to see Donna though (because can you imagine?? Also that scene where Donna just acts like she knows the Doctor all of a sudden? When the Doctor doesn't even really know herself but feels like she should?) and if we could spring for some Karvanista on top, that'd be ace <3
I would give this one to DiscipleOfBrad because I trust them to write a convincing fugitive Doctor. I really enjoyed her in The Cul-de-Sac (which btw I can highly recommend if you'd like some soft thasmin and an intriguing premise. There is a heavy side of whouffaldi, though, I'm not sure whether that is your thing?).

I feel like it always helps me to get myself into a 'I can't do anything else now anyway' situation? That's why trainrides are so good for writing. I just need to be in a situation where I can't take care of more pressing matters, so it won't feel overwhelming if I don't take care of them?
Like, I will rather scroll tumblr than work on my thesis but I won't write. But if I am away from wifi, I might not be able to work on the thesis anyway, so I will easier find the peace of mind (and hence energy and creativity) to write?
Idk maybe that's just me. Maybe it's not working at all either. Honestly, I don't quite know where energy, creativity or motivation to write come from. They just knock and then they're there.
🏜️What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?
Well, obviously, I adore long comments, who doesn't? But just saying 'long' feels both greedy and like cheating, so let's talk content.
I think, what excites me most in a comment is when I can sense the enthousiasm? It doesn't necessarily have to be for the content of my fic, I had someone write 'YOU MADE A CROSSOVER FOR THESE TWO FANDOMS?? THEY'RE MY FAVOURITE!!" and it made me smile for a day. Just, I write those things because I love the characters and themes and if someone shows that they share this passion? That's community, that's what we're searching for, isn't it?
But also I got a comment today that was just a bunch of predictions about the next chapter of my current fic and that felt amazing! Generally, when people notice things or I feel they have been paying attention, that is SO GOOD. That's probably also why we love long comments. I mean, generally, every second you spend reading the comment is gold, so the longer the comment the more seconds there are, but also a long comment will usually go into detail. Make predictions. Notice things. Talk about how they perceive the characters and why something made sense/surprised them. Quote your fic back to you. And like, all of that is so much fun. It's like reading your story again, remembering why you wrote it. It's the best feeling in the world.
I very dearly love comments.

I don't 😭 The place where I live doesn't allow pets and besides, I am away a lot and not planning on staying in this town much longer anyway. So, yeah, it'd be difficult to have a pet. I really, really want to though. Preferably a cat but I'd be so happy with a dog as well. Or a turtle? Or bunny? Or a lizard? I think you could make me happy with almost any mammal and many types of reptiles <3 (not much into insects or fish though. And I feel weird about birds in cages.)

Thanks for tagging me @harleywritesshit. I always love talking about my stories and I'm actually in a bit of physical pain and couldn't write this idea I got, so this is a good replacement!

1. What is your absolute all-time favourite ideas you’ve ever had?
Honestly, all my ideas are my favorite because my brain comes up with whatever and I have to sort through the broken pieces to get a good story. If it makes it out, then I love it. Also, I cherish all my ideas and can't really pick a favorite.
2. Is there a question you’ve been asked in the past that really stands out to you, and you still think about sometimes?
Unfortunately not really. People don't talk to me and on the off change I do engage with someone, my anxiety usually makes me clam up so much they stop talking since they think I'm not interested 😅
3. What is your favourite part of being a writer? What parts could you take or leave?
Adding to my previous question, my favorite part has to be how I can actually express myself, my words, feelings, experiences, etc... in written word. I struggle so much talking to people that writing is the only place where I feel I can say what I really want to.
What I would leave out is how little most people care about writing. I wish we lived in a world where instead of Monday Night Football, we got Writing To Tomorrow or smth idk.
4. What is your greatest motivation to write/create?
The idea that I might one day be the author/owner of a book/character that heavily impacts someone's life for the better.
5. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever read or been given as a writer?
I think that would be the advice where people say "your favorite author started off with terrible ideas too."
That made me realize I don't have to rush in making a "masterpiece" because it might not even be seen as one. I can just make good enough stories and go from there.
6. What do you wish you knew when you were first starting out writing?
That I can actually write whatever I want lol. When I was younger, I thought that you had to follow strict formulas; like, you could only write women as damsels and men as heroes. Little Miss Ann found out that's definitely not the case 😂
7. What is your favourite story you’ve written to completion? Link it if you’d like and can!
8. What is your favourite out-of-the-box quote?
I'm terrible at endings and even more horrible at actually ending my stories, but the few that I have are normalities because of how easily the story came to me and was written, and A Fourth Dimension Reality: The Strange Beginnings because it's my crack baby that I technically "completed" because it was so long I broke it into separate volumes.
"Don't forget to eat breakfast tomatoes."
I don't know what to even tell you, this is my humor🗿
9. Which of your characters would you say has the most controversial mindset? Why do you say so, and how do you personally feel about their ideals?
Probably them all. So, typically, I tend to have strong opinions and some of them are considered "hot takes." This bleeds into my stories, but I'd say the character who'd rub some the wrong way is one old one, Dia, and one new, Lazarus.
Dia is a demon who believes angels are no different than his species. Considering he was a former angel, he knows angels can be just as "evil" as demons and doesn't have a concept of "good" and "bad"
Lazarus is just an asshole who likes girls who are introverted and shy because he hates how extroverted and loud the rest of the world is.
I actually based Dia's mindset off my own since I have negative experiences with Christians and a similar negative outlook of them. (I'm totally fine with the religion itself, but not some of the crazies who practice it.)
Lazarus, on the other hand, is someone I don't agree with because I don't feel a personality trait can make someone better than anyone else. Still gotta love Lazzy boi tho~
10. If you, when you first started writing, met you now, what would younger you think?

The last person I kissed on the lips was one of my two childhood friends and if she screamed that she loved me, I'd just scream that i love her too because she'd probably be freaking out about that new keychain i gave her. it's completely platonic, no strings attached. we're just really close that we peck each other on the lips when we're excited.
2. Did you get to sleep in today?
I normally wake up at around 8 because morning lectures start at around 10, so I need time for my morning run and breakfast. Today I woke up at 10, because I didn't have to wake up early. So yes, I got to sleep in.
7. Did you stand on your tippy-toes for your last kiss?
Nope! I'm the tallest of my little friend group (I'm not tall, I just have short friends) so that friend i mentioned in the first answer had to stand on her tippy toes, while i had to bend down a little.

My mum. She was a little pissed off because of some family problems (which i try to stay out of) but then she gave me this whole summary or smth about what happened and who did what and then asked for my opinion, which is something i never thought would happen, and then i gave her my opinion and she just sighed and said bye to me. honestly, the problem itself is something about my dad and my aunt having this big fight involving my dad's brother in law who decided to do some stupid shit. i dunno the rest.

Jeans. Those little shits who I consider my closest, childhood friends decided to take me to a movie. So one of them, Amy told me "it's the best movie i've EVER seen" and then the second one, Manjita was like "It's only January and this is the second movie you've seen since 2023 started." and Amy is all "Do you want Hannah to come or what?" and Manjita is like "Oh yeah. Change quickly, we're coming to get you in 2 hours" so now i'm all ready and waiting for them to pick me up.
15. Are you a different person now than you were 5 years ago?
I think so. I mean, when I was 14, I was basically the same version of myself but emo-er. I had my goth phase, which my mother discouraged. I'm not THAT goth now, but half my wardrobe is still black and my friends (read: little shits) never lets me forget that phase of mine.
16. What were you doing at 4 am?
I was actually in the bathroom, at 4:17 in the morning, sniffing the candle that sits near the sink while I was peeing.

I would rather give a speech. But, I'm pretty good at writing a paper too. Writing a paper is easier, but speaking actually makes me feel good, for some reason. Especially if I'm speaking about something I'm really passionate about. I give guest speeches at schools sometimes.

I am what, people might consider, the 'goody two shoes child' but once when I went out with my friend (yk amy from the previous stories) I told my parents I would be going to Cold Stone (a coffeshop/ice cream place) but then I went to Baskin Robbins instead.

I hit my hip on my desk cause my desk just decided to move 5 inches forward on its own.

Hi, it's me again. Sorry to bother you once again. ^^'
What you told me last time made sense, but I feel like I do both almost equally. (getting in situations I don't want to be in, being a doormat & I also have a long history of running from problems.)...
At this point, I would encourage you to forget tritype, and focus on finding your core. Spend a week "as a 9" and see if it "fits." Pay attention what is 9ish and what isn't. Journal about it. Then do the same with 7. Which one seems to fit better, at the end of the week, and which one was easier, for you to "be a 9" or "be a 7"? Spend time, before you journal, thinking about why you think you made the decisions you made that day. Then, as you read both accounts later in the month, compare them to a good 9 and 7 profile. Which fits? If you only get ONE type and ONE wing to explain you, which one is it?
The situations I was in that I didn't want to be in... Was it really me that didn't want to be there, or in reality I wanted to be there and I'm just excusing myself and blaming my mistakes on that? This is just me throwing the question out there "out loud". xD
Or is this a 6 wing, analyzing yourself? Something to ponder.
I've seen plenty of 7w6s get into bad situations due to a lack of discernment (that 7 tendency of magical thinking / re-framing / happy vibes / ignoring the bad signals this person is giving out and focusing on only what they want to see / over-romanticizing people).
About withdrawn and assertive, I'd say I'm definitely more withdrawn, but at the same time, I wonder if I'm assertive but I'm just so used to it that I'm not seeing it. Or rather, I don't want to see it... I'm aware of how manipulative I can be sometimes and shape things how I want them to be. 7 describes me well, maybe except the assertive stance &...
Ask someone who knows you extremely well which one you are, after pointing them to my Enneagram pages for both. Their answer might surprise you.
I feel like I'm too passive to be a 7, bcs most of my "exciting" activities aren't that exciting... When I read 7s descriptions, I only think of adrenaline activities, like bungee jumping, or traveling, rock climbing, etc. Not to say I wouldn't like to do those, I just 1 - don't really have the money & 2 - I lack opportunities where I live...
Those are sensor things to do.
7w6 can also mean fantasizing, finding things to look forward to, not being "in the present" because you are thinking about the next fun thing you want to do, seeing the world through rose-colored glasses, being resentful of others who seem to be having more fun than you are, avoiding anything that might mean you get "stuck" in a situation that could become "boring," avoiding dwelling on negative thoughts, and fear of missing out.
My husband also used the expression "full-Boyle" for me and my hobbies and interests. It comes from the show Brooklyn 99, and in case you didn't watch it, it means I go all out with it. It's like my whole life revolves around it for that time, almost to an obsessive extent. Until, untimely, I grow bored of it and drop it for the next interesting thing. And thus, the cycle begins again. When he points it out, however, I try to underplay it and make it seems like it's not a big deal. I do the same with my parents, but he unmasks me if he hears me downplaying it xD

He also says smth that I find weird, but he mentions it so often and I never notice it. He tells me I always have an excuse for everything and never, anything is my fault. I wouldn't say I feel that way, but apparently, the way I express it sounds like that, I'm guessing? Well... I notice the tendency to excuse myself and make up excuses but I never really notice doing it with others. This is when I do smth that is not so right...
7w6/6w7s do this a lot, but in fairness, a lot of people make up excuses. But 7s will try and talk their way out of things, or insist they did nothing wrong, or refuse to take responsibility, because admitting they did something bad, selfish, etc., means their starry-eyed, happy, positive perception of themselves isn't true. They don't want to see themselves as bad, hurtful, neglectful, etc., anything that isn't positive and pleasant. It's part of re-framing.
At the same time, I feel like I'm too impatient, assertive, aggressive, fast-paced, especially with more boring and menial tasks, and even bossy to be a 9.
9w8 could account for it, but this also seems "bratty" 7w6-ish.
However, I'd like to ask you if you don't mind expanding a bit more on how an INFP 7 would look like? What I already read, except the "always on the move" part, describes me well. (I'm physically lazy, especially if I'm feeling a bit low or sad, and I need to plan things ahead a little bit. [just a little bit, not a lot.] Even more, if it's smth I don't feel like doing, don't like doing or I don't want to do. I'm not really "on the go.") Even the Ne dom mistype... Crazy as it may sound, I was convinced I was an ENTP for months before I came to realize I was a Fi-Te user.

I’m not planning on watching volume 2 because of the sheer mess of volume 1 and the disgusting Stancy shipteasing but could you say what the gross Stancy scenes are and if there’s actual substance behind them? Make it make sense please I just wanted Jancy to reunite and be happy and have them have their own individual storylines without this stupid love triangle :(
Hey anon so after all I'd def recommend watching volume 2 if you watched volume 1 because, well volume 1 is worse. On all accounts, both regarding Jancy and just the show in general. And the season ends with Jancy having a sweet reunion, then there's an ambiguous scene with them where they talk but don't really resolve all the tension between them, but at least say they're okay. And most importantly: Final shot of s4 has Jancy, Jopper, Mike, El and Will all together watching how the Upside Down is now fully leaked into our world. And in the shot they have Jopper stand together holding hands and Jancy stand together holding hands. So the season ends on Jancy holding on and staring danger in the face again together, which is of course good. Plus the fact that they mirror Jopper in the scene, the Jopper ship was super realized in vol 2 with making out scenes and all.
The Stancy shipteasing remained just shipteasing and onesided. It was very gross to watch and completely unnecessary (the love triangle is absolutely not needed, they're doing Nancy a huge disservice and Steve as well). First shiptease moment in vol 2 is when Nancy comes out of Vecna's trance (Nancy has a really good scene with Vecna that opens vol 2 so that was cool), basically Vecna just lets her go after telling her everything (why he did that I don't fucking know maybe it'll come up in s5?) and when she snaps out of it Steve catches her and is like "I've got you". Gross but nothing more than that.
Then there's like a moment when they and Robin go into the UD again later, they like halt and look at each other for a moment but nothing more.
There's a scene where Steve randomly tells Nancy that his future dream is to have 6 kids and drive around the country in a winnebago WEIRD THING TO TELL YOUR EX WHO HAS A BOYFRIEND STEVE. Nancy is surprised and says "That's... nice?" and then is like "except for the 6 kids part". She clearly doesn't want to be a baby making factory in a winnebago. I take Nancy in that scene as not really into Steve's future dream but glad he suddenly has one after being so directionless previously. Then later when they're in the UD Steve tells her he wants Nancy to be the woman in that future dream, aka his baby making factory (my words not his but). Nancy looks at him shocked but Robin interrupts before she can respond.
Then they're p much busy fighting supernatural stuff so not anymore big shipteasing moments between them after that, that I can remember at least but I pulled a 13 hour shift before watching vol 2 so I might forget smth.
So the season ends with the Cali gang finally rolling back into Hawkins two days after the big battle. Jancy have a super sweet reunion, he lifts her up and everything, presses a kiss to her forehead. Apologizes for that she couldn't get a hold of him and she tries to start explaining what happened in Hawkins but he tells her he knows, and she's confused and he says he'll explain everything. During this Steve is in the background looking forlorn and Robin pats his back lol.
Then Jancy and El, Max and Will go to see Lucas and Max at the hospital (Max is in a coma). Jancy don't have any lines in this scene but I like that they took the kids.
Then they're at Hopper's cabin, where they plan to hide El. The cabin is in uh bad shape so Nancy whips everyone into cleaning mode. Jancy then have a scene where they talk while boarding up a hole in the wall. First they have a funny moment watching Argyle being weird. Then Jonathan says he's sorry he wasn't there, but Nancy says she's glad he was with Mike and Will. Then Jonathan says he's glad she was in Hawkins bc "Otherwise, who'd have been in charge? Steve?" WHICH IS TRUE everyone in Hawkins would've died 20 times over by ep 3 if it wasn't for Nancy. But here's what I despise the Duffers for, they then have Nancy say: "He's actually grown up quite a bit, you know?" Which is like, fine whatever, that's not saying she has feelings for Steve but it's just so weird to keep a little shipteasing alive still by having Nancy bring up Steve here. Then Jonathan asks if they're okay and Nancy says yeah, but there's some hesitation from both, then they agree it's hard and Nancy says "life keeps throwing things in the way of our big plans" and Jonathan is like "sure seems like it". Then Nancy jokes about putting "saving the world" on your college resume. Then she asks "not that it matters at all" if he's gotten his acceptance letter and he says no not yet and doesn't mention the community college thing. Then scene ends. Then Jopper show up and the Byers family have a sweet reunion as Nancy looks super happy watching it, then it ends with the final shot I mentioned above.
So this was rambling but yeah to sum up: I still think Jancy is endgame. But I hate how the Duffers have written them lately. I don't get why they try to keep the played out love triangle alive into s5 but I guess they think it's good for buzz around the show or whatever. Like I said I hate they have Nancy mention Steve in that last talk, not bc I think she has feelings for him, but bc it's just unnecessary. I think the other stuff they talk about in that scene, the feeling that life keeps throwing obstacles in their way, and the issue around their college plans, that's enough for tension in the relationship. The Stancy shipteasing is completely unnecessary because it's clear Nancy absolutely doesn't want what Steve wants. Also, given all the "looks" in the Stancy shipteasing moments, take note of this: The way Nancy looks at Jonathan is WAY different, deeper, happier, muuuuch more meaningful than how she looks at Steve.
I think Jancy will work through some issues in s5 and come out the other end together. The obstacle of issues around college plans can be solved a myriad of ways, and like Nancy and everyone else says by the end of s4, stuff like that don't really matter much anymore given everything else that's going on. Jancy will be together for s5, face off against evil together again, when they're at their best. And I do think they'll work through their shit and at the end be together.

My pals from discord and I were talkin shit about Aphmaus Minecraft series and two of them wanted to rewrite Diaries n Mystreet respectively and the more we talked the more I wanted to rewrite Diaries as well so now Im gonna watch/rewatch it and write my notes down here
Ive only actually watched the first season before bc I really liked Zane in Mystreet when he was a bastard asshole and ive heard that he was the villain in Diaries but then I wanted to look up his age on the wiki and found out that he really wasnt too important in seasons 2 n 3 so I never watched anything of aphmaus again. until now
Heres my notes on ep. 1:
Im considering renaming Aphmau (as a character obvs) to Jess/Jessica or smth. Idk like, all the other characters (aside from maybe Kawaii-chan but I'd prefer not to think abt her in general) have these very normal kinda generic names (Katelyn, Garroth, Zane, Lucinda, Lawrance, Aaron n god knows who else) so Aphmau as a name just seems really out of place but im not fully sure yet
Okay, so I think im gonna keep the plot stuff about how their Lord recently passed away and now everythings in chaos and theyve lost contact to all those other village states and theyre running low on resources oh no, I think thats a good excuse to keep it contained to one single place in the beginning as everyone is trying to deal with this shit. I dont remember too much about the plot from when I last watched this series though, so I might change some stuff later to have some foreshadowing and maybe make things more cohesive
Because this is a Minecraft Roleplay Aphmau doesnt really have a backstory which makes perfect sense in the context of it being a Minecraft Roleplay since we (the audience) dont really need to know anything about what happened prior the RP starting, however, Im trying to approach this like more of a traditional story so I think thats kinda necessary. I actually kinda already rewrote Diaries when I first watched it a few years back (but I was also using my own OCs back then so idk if it really counts) and the way I dealt w/ it there was just, the Main Character has amnesia. The full backstory was that she was actually the daughter of a noble (idk if it was the noble running the community she stumbled upon but its likely) and they did some magic/herb bullshit to make her forget everything but her name in order to protect her from being killed like the rest of their family and then shes just kinda a helpful nice girl in this struggling community until her past catches up w/ her yknow? I'd like to basically just do that but w/ Aphmau here
Im gonna go more into detail when we actually get to it, but I know towards the end of the first season they reveal that Aphmau is actually the reincarnation of Irene (whos basically Jesus in this world) and I feel like thats a bit much?? So im just gonna say shes like, Irenes only child or her only living child instead and sort of tie that into my previous idea, but again Im gonna get more into it when we get to that part
Im also leaning a bit more towards realism here (obvs its still fantasy I'd just rather nor have Minecraft physics yknow)
Aphmau finding the village is gonna go like this: She sees Vylad on patrol or some shit, follows him to the village, sees the other guards and kinda hides in the bushes nearby, eavesdrops on them (hears Garroth n Zenix have their exposition talk, (G) "I dont think anyone in the village will listen to any of the guards. Not after how horrible the last Lord was..." (Z) "Now that the Lord is gone the village is in chaos. What are we going to do?"), wonders whats going on and sneaks to the village without alerting the guards
Aphmau is staying more or less lowkey and just kinda walks around the village for a bit, sees all the villagers and all that, maybe has some little interactions with them idk
She nabs some carrots from one of the fields bc shes hungry (this is basically all just like it is in the OG Diaries but less Minecraft RP-ey yknow)
After that ya girl jusg sort of wanders around in the village, maybe pointing out some stuff that needs fixing and thinking about how she could help (bc shes definitely not leaving) and its kinda like foreshadowing her being this really good and helpful presence in this struggling village n shit
Im not fully sure how Im gonna deal w/ the Minecraft stuff initially, like, before it transitions into pure story and more or less cuts out all the modded!Lets Play shit. Bc in the RP, they dont really craft things (if I remember correctly) they just. get them somehow but Aphmau is gonna be crafting quite a bit in these early episodes im pretty sure. Now I have tried to convert this type of MinecraftRP into a proper story before, and the way I dealt w/ the crafting aspect there was by having a sorta Fullmetal Alchemist style magic system, where you have to put raw resources in this summoning circle thing and they work exactly a crafting bench but more Mystical n Magical but Im not sure if that would work that well
Aphmau is exploring the area a bit (and collecting some stones for better resources, if I'll actually go for my idea w/ the crafting benches) and hears weird creepy noises?? I dont remember if that leads anywhere, but Im putting it here in case it actually does or in case I can use a scene like this for something else
She doesnt really worry about finding a home and just kinda does her thing for a bit, exploring the area and all that, but then she realizes Oh Shit. At the police station, Kim Hongjoong's name was close to the top in the most wanted criminals list. His gang, leaded by him, had established their turf around most of the city, their main business being drug dealing but didn't limit itself to that. Robbing, street races and arms trafficking were some other of their crimes. Not to mention Hongjoong himself took part in various murders as gangs didn't follow the city's rules but their own rules; justice was done by their own hands. But in a city where murder is condemned with murder by law, criminals like him were prosecuted insanely. Seonghwa had previously tried catching him, his neat, perfect plans to corner him failing even if it might've been close. Hongjoong was too smart, he was the leader of his gang for some reason.
It made him majorly frustrated, and maybe that's way he didn't think it twice when he saw Hongjoong that night, even if he tried to motion him to leave back in that dark alley. Obviously, his awareness and tense moves should've alerted the police but instead he stepped right in to try and catch him, aiming his gun at him but failing once again when a bullet from the opposite gang brushed against his chest. After both managed to escape, Hongjoong could've easily shot him down in the spot. Seonghwa had some type of obsession to catch him, and he could get rid of his plans and him easily. But even though Hongjoong had killed before, he only killed when his close friends' or his own life was in danger. Seonghwa was a new officer and he was entertaining, he would let him think he had caught him only to escape so easily. It was like playing an eternal game of the cat chasing the mouse, the police in front of him thinking he was in the winning side. For him, he wasn't any type of threat. So instead of leaving him there with a wound in his chest, he took him back with him with the condition of not saying a word about where were they going AND giving him his own weapon, radio and phone, along with some other stuff that might compromise him.
Seonghwa really thought Hongjoong was stupid enough to take him to his own place if he followed him, maybe that was why he acceded. Maybe he was the only stupid one here for following a criminal who most likely wanted to get rid of him. To his relief and disappointment, Hongjoong took him to a rather expensive hotel room. The place was nearly empty except for the staff due to it being late at night, but it still was incredible how the staff didn't know about Hongjoong, about these criminals; they treated him like some other normal person. They were all oblivious to what happened in the crime world.
"I was just doing my job." Seonghwa answered, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink when the younger one kneeled in between his legs to take off the black vest and begin unbuttoning his black shirt. Hongjoong's eyes swiftly looked at the name tag while doing so. Park Seonghwa. He smiled to himself as he finished exposing the older's chest.

The Talanah and Amadis situation from the perspective of someone not wearing shipper goggles. (I'm going to regret this phrasing, aren't I)
Minor spoilers for The Burning Blooms and Need To Know.
Kinda long post ahead (sorry if I come off looking mean with this, I swear, I hate being mean, it's simply my tone coming off as such)
I touched a bit on this on my post about my thoughts on the game but I fully expand here just because.
Hot take: Amadis doesn't deserve the hate.
Before I go into anything, I'll say this first: I ship neither TalanahxAmadis, neither TalanahxAloy. I'm a stickler for canon ships when it comes to this franchise lol (now you"ll say isn't TalanahxAmadis canon now? Not really, it never got confirmed, you could say that what got confirmed was that they might as well not get together if anything.)
So what I actually wanted to write about... Whatever did he do to you? lmao
Like if he was a bigot or something like Ahsis, I'd get it, but he's not? In fact he seems to be against all those things, if him not giving away Nessa to the Carja for what she did (secretly join the army when it was forbidden) is anything to go by.
If he was an a**hole or something, I'd get it, but the most a**hole move he pulled was not writing to Talanah like he promised. (In fact that kinda made me wonder though, how does letter delivery work here- is post service a thing? Where do you go to get letters delivered? If there's something like that, with all the dangerous machines going around, I wouldn't be surprised if many letters never got to their recipients actually). And you can't really say he led Talanah on for that to be considered an a**hole move. All that he wanted was to find out what happened to Nessa so that he can move on from her in peace (that didn't happen because yeah, she's apparently alive and doesn't really seem to give a sh*t about him anymore, how is it easy to move on in peace from that lmao).
If it's about the shipping aspect of the whole thing, then, I'm very sorry if I come off as an a**hole with the way I phrase this, but 1. How can you read the Sunhawk comics and not see the very obvious romance setup between Talanah and Amadis there? I saw where they were going with this from miles away. And 2. This is my reading of the whole situation, but even if Talanah was confirmed to be not straight, I think there's still a chance that she'd go after Amadis anyway, because since when do you need to be smitten with someone to go after them and make sure they are ok?
Now about Talanah.
I don't see what's so out of character? In the first game she was against people like Ahsis who were bigoted, misogynistic and all that. She wanted to make the Hunter's Lodge more than a trophy hall.
I didn't see anything in HFW that went against that. Her journey to the west (sorry lmao, iykyk) might as well have been a vacation leave from the Lodge or smth, you never know. As for why she uses her time away like this, as I said in my last paragraph on Amadis, you don't necessarily have to be in love with someone to go look for them. In this case it just happened that she was.
As for why she didn't stay to help Aloy, I have some reasons for that.
One, it simply wouldn't make sense for a side quest character suddenly become main. It doesn't matter if they are popular or not, not everyone is going to find out about them, because not everyone is going to invest time in all the side quests unless they want the trophy for all allies. (Some people say Talanah was majorly advertised. Oh yes, major advertisement is definitely *checks notes*... only appearing in one promo art piece and nowhere else, not even a glimpse in a trailer or something. Yeah. I'm pretty sure that the only reason Talanah even appeared in promo art was to just show that they didn't forget her and to appease the fans who were curious about her, not to imply that she'd become a major character.) Not everyone cares about side characters.
Second, Talanah still has a place in the Lodge. Who knows, maybe she was only allowed to leave for a short time. Knowing her status as the first female Sunhawk and how not everyone would welcome this change, probably there'd be several people eager to try and claim the position the longer she was absent and knowing how hard Talanah worked to gain this position, to give up on it now would be dumb. The only way I see her being available to help Aloy on her quest was for her to give up leadership of the Lodge and yeah, I doubt she'd do that.
Third, you'll say, Talanah joined the fight against HADES, wouldn't she join in a fight which now has even bigger stakes? Reminder that even lesser characters appeared in the battle, pretty missable ones too. (I personally didn't even know about Aluki at first, because I didn't know you could talk to more than one Banuk in the encampment, so I was wondering who tf are you lmao.) So Talanah showing up didn't mean that much if you ask me. Another thing is that I didn't really see her be that interested in Aloy's cause in the first place. Aloy very much cared about Talanah's cause about what she wanted to do in the Lodge. I didn't see Talanah even attempting to ask Aloy about what she was doing. Unless that was just an attempt of keeping things professional and all that between Hawk and Thrush, then I don't know if Talanah was even interested to know. I'm not saying that Talanah didn't care about Aloy at all, in fact I believe that she does care, more than she shows, but what I'm saying that she could have at least tried reciprocating that interest and care Aloy showed towards her.
That's just my opinion on the whole thing, and opinions are subjective, so we all are entitled to our own. I'm up for a civil talk tho :)

dream trip: i don't think i rlly have a dream trip?? i prefer travelling around times that aren't too like hot temperature wise tho!! n i mostly prefer less warm countries! (high temperatures and sun are both things that trigger different parts of my chronic illnesses) aa and then i mostly prefer like adventure type things in the form of going to nature places n like exploring ruins n that but like in a calm pace?? oh also to preferably stay in like a little cabin type place or a b&b rather than like a big hotel!!

Had a dream I was playing an interesting board game with my dad and sis 1 and having fun but eventually I had to let the dog out of the kennel and she was covered in poop and she was running around outside without a leash or collar so I was like oh no can't let her go she might get lost and my mom started yelling at me saying i should stay in front of the dog and hold onto her and I was like ?? I got her it's okay! So I went inside to give her a bath but one was already running and i asked who it was for and my mom said it was for sis 2 and I looked into our old office and sis 2 was pouring water into another tub like thing and i asked who that was for and sis 2 said "me" and I was like okay..
So the dog had run up to my dad and I was like "wait, she stinks, you might not want to pet her" but he already had a bit before i was able to grab her. I went back to the bathroom where my mom was and apologized for the way I handled things outside, i said i wasn't trying to be rude with my response (*cry* she looked so upset but she was calming down) Eventually the dog lay down on a white bedsheet or smth and i was like oh well i can wash that later too and i waited for everyone to be done with the bathroom but. things started drifting to odd(er) dream territory
So I found these like fancy British people in a room playing a game like the one I'd been playing earlier, only they had a bunch of fancy food to play with, you had to take a bite of something to find the questions to ask other players, so I was happy to join but. The food. Was SO bland, I wanted to cry, I was like idk if it's just me but this is awful who did this lol
Clark Kent was there kinda? Like I was him but not, maybe it was a sometimes thing but regardless it was weird. So it was late now, we still couldn't get the dog washed, scenes played in my head about how the dog was acting even though it looked like a completely different dog (she bit a pillow and peed on a laptop and I tried to stop her but of course dream me be useless af so anyway) we had an epiphany: we couldn't wash the dog because we had to stop lying to this random little boy and tell him we're Superman! Easy enough.
So we grabbed our silky super suit and headed for the front door so we could change outside but the boy saw us on our way and asked what we're doing and we were like "you'll know." So we ran along the side of the house in case he tried looking through the window but there was a woman where we went, talking with an older man and we were like *just great* and tried changing inconspicuously and i was like "where are the little black socks, i know i grabbed them" and it was taking FOREVER to figure out how to put the outfit on, we were like forget this and moved from the shadiest part and just started stripping our shirt and the woman was like "oh my gosh what are you doing?!" Also she made a comment about our chest and seemed into one of us but I couldn't tell who.
Anyway the rest was like the happy ending sequence of a comedy movie, it was implied that we eventually got the suit on and told the kid our secret and I assume washed the dog.. I woke up and looked on the bottom bunk where Clark was with that woman from outside 💔 like rude okay I liked him first and now they're kissing in my room for why 🤮 then there was another scene showing that bestie Ran had joined the football team
