Let’s start from the beginning one last time.

My name is Dre/Jade/Dom, and I think I’m y/n.

A few months ago, I met a guy who looked like an off brand version of Miguel, like he could be his brother of some sort.

We started sleeping together and it was like he was obsessed, but he had been widowed less than a year beforehand and he was dealing with some mental processing issues, so I was like “no problem dude, we’re just chillin and getting to know each other and enjoying our time.”

BUT NOOOOOOO, HE THOUGHT I DESERVED SOMEONE WHO WAS READY FOR A RELATIONSHIP.

So he pushed me away. And slept with someone else. And then told me after sleeping with me again. And got scared when I started laughing.

That shit hurted i wont lie. So then I cut things off, got drunk, slept with him again, and cut things off again.

And then got drunk again and texted him that this was all bullshit and it could have been good, but he answered with this one line jack-ass text, and I cried. And then he WENT TO EUROPE FOR THREE WEEKS. NO CONTACT, NOTHING, AND STILL POSTING ON INSTAGRAM.

So I started healing, and I met someone who looks EXACTLY like Miguel. Mainly speaks Spanish, name starts with an M, super calm and collected all the time, cold demeanor, gym-lover, wants to work in supplements and health, and READY FOR A RELATIONSHIP. His ex’s name even rhymes with Xina.

So we’ve been together now for a little while and things are so perfect. Great talks, a lot of laughing, emotional honesty, amazing sex- the list goes on.

BUT NOOOOOOWWWW this Great Value Miguel comes back and starts hanging out at my job and trying to hook up with girls two feet away from me all night, and then STARING AT ME to try and make me jealous.

But I love my boyfriend. A lot. But this is totally fucking with my head.

So this is me, apparently the y/n of my universe, begging the multiverse to STOP LETTING THESE VARIANTS OF MIGUEL THROUGH. ITS ENOUGH.

Bryce hate?? Over Hunt?? (HOFAS)

I’d say I’m usually Hunt’s biggest defender but the fact that I’m truly seeing people hate Bryce for a fight that lasted 1 day? She pushed aside his feelings??? I had to go back to her POV because no. Her actual thoughts:

“But each of us made choices that led us to all this. The weight of that’s not only on you, and it isn’t—”

“I don’t want to talk about this.” He started walking toward the center of the room.

“Hunt,” she started. He kept walking, wings tucking in tight.

Pushing aside his feelings looks a lot like her trying to address it and him not. 🤔

“That’s the old Umbra Mortis talking,” Bryce said, fumbling for humor amid the cold wash of pain and worry at his words, his dead tone.

Not having the right words. Feeling hurt for what he’s going through. Hmm, careless indeed. 🤔

But maybe it was that need to protect her that was leading to the guilt, the fear devouring him whole.

She’d meant every word she’d said to him—it wasn’t good enough for him to go along with things. She needed Hunt, all of him, fighting at her side. She didn’t know how to convey that. How to make him understand and embrace that.

Her acknowledging the root of his worries and not knowing how to communicate better but it all stemming from care.

Here’s her literally apologizing:

“I’m sorry,” she said quietly. “For being a dick to you about what you’re going through.”

“I apologize for everything I said to you about getting over it,” she went on.

💀

One spat that was resolved. Hunt didn’t die from 1 outburst. Can a girl be stressed? Can a girl be imperfect? Can a girl make mistakes? Can a girl apologize and be forgiven? Y’all love keeping FMCs in a box. It’s weird.
