2) If you read the SAG-AFTRA demands, a truly STUNNING amount of their points involve protecting background actors, and trying to improve conditions for the 87% of their union who makes less than $26,000 a year.
3) As WGA members know, this is not a strike for the showrunners. We're trying to fix the fact the the current younger generation of writers can't even afford housing and their pathway to advancement has been cut off.
4) Like … folks, I'm fine. There are maybe two proposals in there that affect me. I'm walking in 90% weather and losing over 50% of my income for the year because I want the younger writers to get what I got at this stage of their careers.
5) Our unions and the CEO's and various negotiators have a fundamental cognitive disconnect. Because CEO's types only succeed by FUCKING THEIR PEERS.
6) Zaslav, Iger , those types of execs, etc have never gone without so a fellow exec or a junior exec could thrive. A fellow exec failing is the moment to use your own leverage to advance past them, if not destroy them.
7) Part of it is the money but part of this, I think, is a genuine inability to grasp even the concepts of any labor action. Because it is always other-directed.
8) So many people treat capitalism as part of nature red in tooth and claw, but it's not. It's a human construct. There are different rules you can play by -- but not if you want to win.
9) The greatest gift capitalism ever granted was the ability to validate selfish behavior as a virtue because that's "just what's necessary, I don't make the rules!" (Look ma, it's reification!)
10) This is where I usually point out that Adam Smith wrote that you have to overpay workers to keep your labor force up, and you need to take into account the psychic damage of capitalism to the workers, and that admiring the rich is the greatest source of moral corruption …
11) But I'll stave off that diversion to just land with … this is a discontinuity of attitudes which I think was once breached by the fact that management USED to come from people who loved building their company or their trade, even if they eventually did management shit.
12) Now, even that thin thread of SYMPATHY (Adam Smith joke, get it? People?) is gone. The CEO's are working off a different scorecard, practically and morally. We're not just playing by wildly divergent rules, our lives and careers are DEFINED by those wildly divergent rules.
13) To them, we are IN FACT being "unreasonable", as our behavior does not make sense in their moral framework. They don't think they're being evil, they think they're playing by the actual rules, and we're nuts.
14) There's not great conclusion to this, other than to note that the bit about making writers homeless was described as "cruel but necessary" because they genuinely don't understand the meaning of cruel, because they are always on the other side of the power dynamic.
15) And if they're ever NOT on the top of the power dynamic, they're not suffering, they're dead. They are un-people in their own eyes.
16) These men are not irrational, but they are deranged. This isn't about money, it's about identity. And in a fight about identity … they will set billions on fire.
Because they can always get more money. But they'll never shed the stink of losing to their lessers."

If I see another fic about one of the 2012 turtles "finally knowing what a real family is" in a rise!crossover, I'm gonna lose my goddamn mind
I feel ya Anon I truly do. It's honestly getting quite ridiculous.
To be honest with you, seeing this stuff happening to the 12 series lowkey breaks my heart. Like this is the show that I as well as so many others have grown up with and to see fanfics put these beloved characters in such uncharacteristic and horrible lighting is a quite upsetting to be blunt. Like I usually don't get involved with this kind of stuff, I'd rather just stay in my corner and just vibe but this is something I've just gotta get off of my chest. As a Rise fan myself, it's disheartening to see some fellow fans turn a blind eye to the faults that Rottmnt has and instead tries to make it seem like it's the best show out there. Like don't get me wrong the show's amazing, but it just like every Tmnt series, has it's flaws and weaknesses. Seeing the 12 series getting torn apart in this way and being treated in such a disrespectful manner reminds me way too much of the episode/movie from the 03 series that had the crossover with the "supposed" 87 series. Much like the fanfics going on now, the episode put 87 in a very bad light. It made the series look awful and basically tore it down and because of it, a lot of newer fans like myself at the time, didn't touch the 87 series at all. Not to mention that there was fans who tore it down and made it seem like the show itself was a waste of time.
Just like now, it's happening all over again. Only it's now the 12 series that's being torn down. It's honestly just upsetting to see something that you love and cherish be tarnished and ridiculed by people who've never even seen the show. Like I understand that people love Rise and they want to encourage others to check out the series so it can get recognition. But doing things such as putting down other variants of the franchise just to lift Rise up isn't the way to go. Especially when it's because of shows like the 12 series that helped paved the way for Rise to get to where it is now.
I love both shows, just like I love the others as well. And as a fan of these beloved series, all I ask is that there's some respect shown for both shows. Cuz this trend that's happening just isn't it fam. Like I get it, writing different characters can be hard and getting them completely in character can be challenging. As someone who's got their own crossover fic going, I understand completely how difficult it can be. So I try to be not too harsh with these things, but lately........it's become increasingly difficult not to.

Twelve months was the longest period of time you’d gone without seeing Steve Harrington.
You’d seen him basically every day for your entire goddamn life and then he’d just…disappeared. Left the arcade in a cloud of shame and then you hadn’t seen him since. He was fine; you knew that much. A quick call to his parents had let you know that he was with them in Florida. Fuck knows why, because as far as you’d known he had hated his parents almost as much as he hated Florida. But, as it had turned out, knowing didn’t account for much. You thought you knew Harrington’s every move, but everything in the last year had completely blindsided you. Even if it was just an anomaly, it was enough to make you question everything. It had hurt more than you cared to admit – the sudden revelation, the disappearance, the lack of contact – but the realisation that he’d admitted to loving you had carried you for just a little while.
Only a little while. Three months at the most. After that, you lost hope and moved on.
Did it feel like part of you was missing? Completely. Was there anything you could do about it? Absolutely not.
Steve’s name became something of a curse word amongst your friendship circle. Friendship triangle, actually. The combination of Eddie and Robin had been the only thing carrying you through. Hawkins had changed as you knew it, because as it turns out, you and Steve had shared a pair of rose-coloured lenses. The town sucked without them and man you hoped Florida was even worse for him. Maybe one of the crocodiles or swamps would swallow him up. At least that way you could get closure.
It was hard not to think about him; to think about whether or not he’d started dating again, about how much he was probably suffocating under the same roof as his parents. The part of you that had been hurt by him wanted so badly for him to be aching too – for you, for the familiar, for the realisation that Tampa Bay might have been great, but no place was truly great without you – but the rest of you just pined. For him, for his dumb sarcasm and ridiculous ability to be so smart about everything, for his shitty driving and that stupid cologne and the cursed BMW that you were afraid to shine a UV light in for fear of a live Jackson Pollock experience.
You missed him.
Eddie and Robin were good company. Every time you were sad, you would find yourself with them at the Hideout, laughing about something stupid and then revelling in the realisation that you were going to be fine. Everything was going to be fine. You had your friends.
“So…I like her, but I don’t like like her, you know?” Eddie’s aimless ramblings filled your ears one cold Wednesday night. Class had been long, but not as long as this conversation. Was he even going the right way home? You’d no clue.
“So, break up with her then, Eds,” you replied, unable to resist an eyeroll. “It’s obvious.”
“But she’s so hot!”
“And?!” you shot back. “You can’t just hold out for someone because they’re hot.”
“Right. If you did, you’d be in a Florida swamp by now.”
You shot Eddie a glare. “Watch it.”
“I regretted it as soon as I said it,” he grimaced. “Sorry. I really am.”
Eddie reached across and squeezed your arm, giving you a smile. He was far too easy to forgive.
As it turned out, he had been going the right way, because your apartment building had finally made an appearance in the distance. One of the better developments in your life in the past year had been that you, Robin and Eddie found a place together. It was a complete shithole, and you were pretty sure your neighbour was a pervert, but it was yours. More yours than your place in New York had been.
Hopping out the van, you shut the door behind you and fumbled around for your keys. Eddie wasn’t far behind, just taking a moment to assess the damage the pavement had done to his wheel when he’d collided it with at the morning. Something about the government shouldn’t have put a pavement there and I don’t pay taxes for this shithole to destroy my van.
Unlocking the door, you stepped inside and was immediately greeted by Robin. She was in attack mode, elbowing her way past you and towards Eddie.
“Munson!” she yelled. “How many times have I told you not to smoke week inside? I’m trying to study for my finals but all I can smell is your skanky goddamn stoner broccoli- “
“- woah, woah, woah!” Eddie held his hands up in defence. “Before you rip my head off, don’t you want to have that conversation with our beloved roommate first?”
You glanced at them, thinning your eyes. “The hell are you talking about?”
“Uh…” Robin trailed off. “We should go inside for this.”
“Or you could just tell me here?” you suggested.
Despite your advice, your friends both took an arm each and lead you inside to the sofa, where they laid you down. Robin did have a point about the smell in here.
“You should sit down for this,” Eddie began.
You propped yourself up on your elbows. “I’m lying down?”
“Oh…” he trailed off. “Then you might want to sit up for this.”
Rolling your eyes, you sat up and swung your legs round so they were on the floor. “What did you want to talk to me about?”
Robin gulped. “Steve called.”
“Here?” your eyebrows shot up.
“Yeah. Six times, actually,” she continued.
“What?!” you exclaimed. “When?”
Eddie and Robin glanced at each other.
“Guys,” you pushed. “When?”
“Three months ago. And also, nine months ago, and also ten months ago, and he also tried calling my house the week he left and…” Eddie trailed off. “Why do you look so angry?”
“Why the fuck are you only telling me this now?!”
“We thought it was best you didn’t know!” Robin chimed in. “He just made you so miserable and-
“- that’s not your decision to make!” you snapped.
“No, you’re right…. we know that. Now. We know that now,” Eddie said. “We just thought it was worth telling you because rumour has it, he’s back in town.”
“Rumour has it from who?”
“My eyes,” Robin admitted. “I saw him yesterday at the coffee shop down the road. I think he was looking for you.”

It wasn’t in your nature to dramatically storm off. It was even less in your nature to steal Eddie Munson’s keys and aimlessly speed off into the night, but you probably earnt the right to do after learning that your best friends had been lying to you. Betrayal from Steve had sucked, but even more so from them. What sucked even more was the realisation that he hadn’t been ignoring you for a year. That was a lot to deal with.
You found yourself driving to Lover’s Lake. It had been an unconscious decision – less conscious that the one to fuck up Eddie’s tyres even more on the way over – but it was weirdly peaceful once you got there. Freaky alien portals aside, it was a pretty relaxing place when it was empty at night. The water was completely dark, lit up only by the moon and stars, where you could be alone with your thoughts and-
“I have a gun!”
The words from your mouth had been quick – and a lie – when you heard someone step on a twig behind you. It wasn’t the worse lie in the world. You could have had a gun in your pockets. Maybe. How big were guns anyway? You didn’t know.
“If you come a step closer I will fucking END you-“
“- you don’t carry a gun.”
There was only one person in the world who could be truly certain of that decision. Steve fucking Harrington.
A beat passed and before he could say anything else, you’d thrown yourself at him. You both fell to the ground – Steve breaking your fall with his body and letting out an ow – and for a split second, you weren’t sure you were decking him or fighting him. The decision came to you naturally, it turned out, because when he tried to sit up, you tackled him back into the ground with a hug. Steve sat there aimlessly for a second, but quickly wrapped his gangly arms back around you.
“Fuck,” you murmured. “What the fuck, Steve?!”
“Couldn’t I be asking you the same thing?!” he demanded. “You’ve been ignoring my calls for a year!”
You took a step back from the hug, glowering for a moment. “I haven’t. I promise.”
“Well you haven’t been answering them-“
“- it was Eddie and Robin!” you cut him off. “We moved in together…it’s too fucking long to explain, but they are meddlers. They are meddling meddlers. I’ve spent the last year waiting for you to call Steve and for fuck’s sake, man! It’s me. If you are genuinely stupid enough to think that I would willingly ignore your calls then you don’t know me at all!”
Steve was silent for a second. That was a lot of information to process. It was good information – encouraging, indeed - but it also meant he had to change his entire worldview that he’d spent the last year adjusting to. Not unlike you had in the last hour.
“Besides…” you carried on. Yeah, it was all coming out now. “You’re the one who accidentally confessed your love for me. You’re the one who ran away! So even if I had been ignoring your calls, who’s to say it wasn’t justified?”
“No, yeah…you’re right,” Steve murmured. “I’m sorry. I really am. I know that doesn’t cut it at all. It doesn’t even begin to make it right but if you would just give me the chance, I promise I will make it up to you.”
“A chance?” you raised your eyebrows. “What kind of chance?”
“The same kind of chance I asked for the night you left for college almost two years ago,” he said. “The chance that’s been fucked over and over because of bad timing-”
“- have you ever considered that maybe you were the one who was about twelve hours behind everyone else?”
“Have you ever considered that maybe you were twelve hours ahead?”
You smiled. “Get to the point, Steve.”
“I love you,” Steve declared. He flung his arms out at as he did, almost as though he were announcing it to the dark clouds above you. “I’m sorry for running away, but in doing it, I realised there’s only one place I want to run and that’s to wherever you are. Even if it’s almost midnight, by a lake, on a freezing cold night.”
“How did you even know I was here?” you asked.
“You have three places you go when you’re not home and that’s here, my house or the record shop and – look, I don’t want to rush you, but it would be really wonderful if we could circle back to where you stand vis-à-vis that love declaration-”
“- fucking obviously I love you too,” you cut him off.
Steve smiled. There was no doubt in his mind that you were still seething but finally, after two years of swings-and-roundabouts, you’d finally said the same thing at the same time. It had been a two year long head-ache – one you still felt dizzy from – but hey. You’d finally caught each other at the same moment. And god forbid you’d ever let him go.
“But this has to be it now, Steve,” you poked him in the chest. “No one-night stands, no other people, no bullshit. I can’t take bullshit.”
“This is it,” he said affirmatively. “I promise. I’m not ever letting you out of my sight again.”
“You promise?”
Steve grabbed your hand, pulling your pinky out of your balled up fist and wrapping it around his. “You have my word.”
Finally, he kissed you.
You’d kissed multiple times before; that fateful night two years ago, the even more fateful one in New York, and the time it almost happened in the lake just two miles from where you were stood. All of those things had taken you a step closer to this but the moment in itself felt like a weight off your shoulders. Almost like it was something that had been written in the stars since the first day you’d thrown a Lego brick at him, and both of you had been holding your breath waiting for you to happen ever since.
“I’m gonna kill Robin and Eddie, by the way,” you quietly said.
“Don’t,” Steve murmured against you. “I only just got you back. I can’t have you going to prison.”
"Yeah, fair point," you laughed. "Besides, if I can forgive you, I can forgive them."
"Hey!"
"Sorry..." you trailed off. "I love you."
Steve smiled. "I love you too."

Thinking about how Wonder Woman in the Pérez run/early 87 series really needed a secret identity. (Stick with me here!) Now, this isn't something that as a reader i would want (I've never had much interest in "Diana Prince") or that would be helpful for Diana's mission, and I actively think a true secret id would be something Diana would dislike immensely and hate to use and maintain. But I honestly think having one, at least at a limited level, would have saved Diana and her loved ones SO much pain down the road. Because while they loved Diana, her presence in their live brought so many villains back to their home which in turn hurt the people she cared about
Like I just think about all the horrible things that the Kapetelises (especially Vanessa, she was used as such a punching bag) went through just by virtue of loving Diana... Its truly awful the unintended consequences that came with loving her and taking her into their home, just because everyone knew she was Wonder Woman. Which while cool still was damaging! I mean Nessie was in MIDDLE SCHOOL of all places and everyone knew she was hosting Diana. It was shown that whether or not most people at school wanted to be around her directly and saw her as interesting or desirable depended directly on Diana and if she was in town with them! And that's really just the tip of the iceberg there with Vanessa but she was put under so much pressure and given such awful conceptions of herself through her peers knowing she was close with Diana.
It's just such a mess. And like I don't think a secret identity would be something that she would ever think of having realistically at this point, especially because she's so new, and there isn't a strong and visible need for one, (and her public identity as ww was already attached to her loved ones) but I do think that many things may have turned out better for the Kapetelises later if they were publically joined by Diana Deneiros, Julia's niece from Greece, as opposed to Wonder Woman

Questions after the cut.
Q: You have immense skill for improv work and always stand out in your performances. Is this something that you practice and plan? Or do you see an opening or an opportunity in your scene, and jump on it?
A: What a lovely thing to say! So first of all, thank you!! The question depends on which kind of performance you’re talking about. If it’s Korra, I really didn’t improvise on LOK at all, because I was so devoted to the scripts (and it wasn’t really something that was being strongly encouraged, which was fine with me!). In other stuff, esp. on-camera stuff, it’s always only after being told by the director that improv is encouraged for that particular take, etc. Nobody wants the class clown disrupting the “class” unless clownery has been encouraged! ;)
Q: How was the relationship between you and the other voice actors similar or different to Team Avatar's?
A: I think that like Team Avatar in the OG series, we really didn’t know how whether the show would be big or not. It’s true that we knew (and in some cases were big fans of) the original series, but in this industry, you’re really taught quickly that nothing is certain and not to have expectations. So PJ and I always joke that I kept waiting to be fired, not because anyone was upset with my performance, but just because it was all such a dream come true, I was afraid to believe it was really happening! So like the first cast, we didn’t know how big the response would be. And there’s a lot of love between us, as there was/is with Team Avatar!
Q: How does it feel to know that Korra has made such an impact on people and even the cartoon industry at large?
A: It’s the best thing about my entire career so far. Truly. I’ve said this elsewhere, but both my parents were teachers, and I grew up in households where having a positive impact on people out in the world was the best gift to receive of all time. So getting to do a show that was so brilliant and that affected people on multiple levels (and then getting to hear from people about their experience with it) is profoundly wonderful. And that’s not even taking into account the impact Korra’s sexuality had in the continuum of animation and representation! Which is a whole other gift I can’t ever be thankful enough for.
Q: What do you think is the most important lesson people can learn from Korra's journey?
A: I think there’s maybe not just one most important lesson, honestly, since people are so different, their journeys are so different, and they come to Korra at so many different points in their lives. But to name a couple biggies for me, I would say having a healthy relationship to patience; not trying to do things alone when there are amazing support systems offering up their help and love; not believing everything you think — as in the stories we tell ourselves, or that others tell us about who we are. And to forgive ourselves and not turn ourselves into our own worst enemy.
Q: What is the most valuable lesson that you personally learned from working on The Legend of Korra?
A: Wow, good question! Always be a student, maybe? Working on that show was so incredible because I always felt like I was learning something new from every single actor, writer, producer, tech, etc. I worked with on the series. If you stay open to what others can teach you, it’s amazing how much that enriches your life!
Q: You have to spend a day hanging out with Korra; what do the two of you do?
A: Oh boy! Well, I would love to do a little pro-bending. Then maybe a big old noodle lunch with Bolin? … I just realized I’m not sure if this means I’m in the Avatarverse or if Korra’s in MY reality!! So let’s keep going on me being there, since I can cheat and involve every other character, hee hee! A ride with Naga somewhere snowy and beautiful… of course taking Asami along as well… and then just sitting around someone’s living room with the gang and Tenzin and his family, laughing and telling stories.
Q: With Fandom’s celebration of Women’s History Month, do you think that The Legend of Korra has changed the representation of women in the animation industry?
A: I think it’s been part of a wave of amazing female characters and I’m so honored to have been even a small part of that! I love how buff Korra is, and that she doesn’t have to fit into a stereotypical “video game ‘hot girl’” animation style, if that makes sense. And of course, Korra’s background, family, culture (the inspiration, love and respect Mike and Bryan have for native cultures) definitely has had an impact. I have been fortunate enough to get to be at conventions where I meet FANTASTIC people of color of all ages, genders, shapes and sizes who feel inspired and motivated by Korra. And met lots of future voice actors!!
Q: Were there any scenes with female characters that you felt were underrated?
A: Hmmm, good question. I’m so deeply embedded in ATLA because of the Braving the Elements podcast, I’m not pulling up any specific scenes in Korra that I felt were underrated. In fact it’s been awesome to talk to people about how fierce and fascinating characters like Kuvira were, and how that dynamic was so well-written.
Q: What scenes did you, as the voice actor of Korra, find the funniest, the easiest and the hardest to do?
A: Funniest is probably having to pretend to be falling from a great distance, which is also the hardest. Turns out that’s a really hard thing for me to fake! But nobody was going to push me off a cliff in the studio to get the “authenticity” of that performance, so I had to learn from my brilliant peers and Andrea Romano how to sound like you’re falling when you’re standing still! Easiest… basically just any and all of the dialogue, because it was so great, it just jumped off the page and felt so natural.
Q: Do you have one scene that had a major impact on you personally?
A: Probably Korra’s letter to Asami in Ep 1 of Book Four, or the last moment of the show with Korra and Asami.
Q: Did you have any inspirations when voicing Korra, whether that be voice actors or other franchises?
A: Oh gosh, there are so many actors I love and was/am inspired by! I’ve said before that when I verrrrrry first started auditioning for Korra, I actually had Christina Ricci in my mind, because she’s so amazing at playing these kind of aloof characters who are at the same time very emotionally vulnerable underneath. And of course I love the Cate Blanchetts, Viola Davises, Kate Winslets, Indira Varmas of the world. In VO, naturally I bow to the talents of folks like Grey DeLisle, Jennifer Hale… the list goes on forever!

TMNT MUTANT MAYHEM IS THE BEST VERSION OF THE TURTLES!
I said what I said.
For all who want to hear my explanation then here:
MM is the first time in turtle history (since '87) that the turtles actually acted like teenagers. Since this story beginning, the turtles weren't once voiced by actual teenagers; now we're finally getting that. Their voices suit them very well; you can tell that they're new to the whole heroing thing and that they aren't sure what they're doing.
The moment where Raph's Sai stabbed Donnie's leg. On top of the fact, it was really funny; it shows how inexperienced they are not only as ninjas but as a team.
As someone who loved all iterations of the turtles; I truly believe that MM is one of the best if not the best adaptation of the brothers we've ever seen.
I noticed a lot of people complaining about how not only the brothers, but April is ugly. Let me tell you something; TEENAGERS AREN'T PRETTY. Teenagers are sweaty, hormone filled, idiots, who have no idea what's going on.
I hate when social media and people in general sexualize teenagers to be these beautiful beings. Teenagers aren't beautiful, what you're seeing is make-up and fake confidence; teenagers are emotional, and anxiety filled.
So, not only to see the brothers happy and having fun without the world judging them. They're being kids. Social media love to also portray teens as mature adults; I think that's what bothered me so much while watching the original TMNT adaptations. Rise did a really nice job showing that teenagers are still kids, but I think a lot of people brushed it off as a kids' show being a kids' show.
But 2012 was also a kids' show and the discussed death on multiple occasions, I also remember growing up that 2012 would give me nightmares. On top of that the 2003 series was aired on 4KIDS; a program that was aimed towards smaller children than Nick. the 03 series was worse with the death message; there was an episode where Donnie went to a different dimension and watched everyone, he loved die for crying out loud!
I think what I'm getting at is, August is five months away; so, before you start judging a movie off ONE trailer, give it a few months, and if it still doesn't seem appealing, don't watch it. BUT don't go to others that actually like the movie and bully them because they're opinion doesn't agree with yours.
Hell, I might be eating my own words by the time that the movie comes out. You don't know what's going to happen in the next five months; so, let's all as a fandom sit back and let the story unfold itself.

Yet another reason why Lari breaks down in Vol 5 (major spoiler)
During that climatic moment, Lari feels so bad for doubting rupert because she chose to refuse completely trusting him, and felt especially bad after Belois betrayal
To recall: At the very start of the series, Lari suffered the annihilation of her family in TL1. From March to August, she saw her entire family killed off, and she was the last one.
She once told Rupert that
“The moment I lost my family, i realized how precious they were. The things most precious to us are usually so close that you wouldn’t realize how truly precious they are until it’s lost.” (Omitted in the manhwa in chapter 84).
This is consistent with what she’s said before - in TL1, before Rupert started to target Belois, life was simple and boring for her. She just lived daily life under the careful watch of Count Belois, she didn’t interact much with Lehan, and she acted as the ideal noble lady. She mostly kept to herself and didn’t socialize with the other nobles, especially since Riche started acting cold to her as well when they were around 14 (just like TL2). It wasn’t until she saw the imperial knights, including Louis raid the Belois mansion and drag Lehan and the count and countess then she realized that she took her comfortable life for granted. Especially Lehan - she was always indifferent to how they were so different, but now she had so much regret - now he was dead, there was no chance of mending that relationship. She should have shown her family more love instead of being so quiet and subdued. She had so much regret that she couldn’t love them while they were alive.
Because she was kept in the dark this whole time, she was very naive: she made her own conclusion that her family was framed. Because to TL1 Lari, her “truth” was that her family was one of upstanding nobles who served as a model for the others. They kept to themselves, were frugal and didn’t bother anyone. The accusations of her in chapter 1 were true: that Belois planned treason and enjoyed indulgence, because they did plan treason and they raised money and built up an army in the background with their funds.
After they died, without answers, Lari had formed her own conclusion: TL1 Emperor Rupert was a psychotic, cruel tyrant who enjoyed to hurt others. Coupled with the rumors that he murdered Tory in cold blood, killing off other nobles that defied him, she took solace in turning him into a scapegoat - someone whom she can put all her blame on for her misfortune.
For the lost, naive, immature, over-protected Lari, hating Rupert gave her a reason to live for those 6 months until she was ordered to be beheaded. She spent months in a dark, cramped jail cell, where she was wasting away, with only her thoughts of regret and consumed with hatred for him.
To Lari, those obsessive thoughts of her hatred for him is what kept her “sane”, So when she died, those thoughts are essentially embedded in her soul: that she hates rupert, that he’s a complete monster with no redeemable features, that she’ll curry his favor and manipulate him so he wont hurt her cherished family and another childish thought - to get access to his riches so she can show him what “true” indulgence is.
I think it’s masterful story telling that at the start, new readers think Rupert is irredeemable, no way RupeLali should end together, no way lari should forgive the person who killed her, but those who have stuck to chapter 87 now think Lari needs to accept the reality that Rupert is different, that she’s being stupid/cruel to him.

18 year old TL1 , and 12 year old TL2 Lari, CANNOT accept Rupert.
It’s like a mental block. *She CANNOT have affection for, can’t empathize with her murderer*
THAT’S Why Lari struggles so much. It’s completely ingrained to her that Rupert is someone unreachable to her. After all, he’s the one that killed her once, and has the potential to flip a switch and kill her again. Although she hates him less, especially in Chapter 59, she still has her doubts.
Season 1 and 2 Lari had a huge shock in that she feels that she can’t trust anyone: Her best friend Riche hated her, Aunt Amelia was ready to kill her to help Duke Ventibolt steal the throne. Tory tried to kill her as well. This includes Rupert.
Because of being betrayed so much, she always has a corner of doubt towards him, even though she WANTs to trust him. But that corner of doubt will always remain there, and that’s not something that can go away easily.
Other readers are also misunderstanding Lari, in the sense they think she’s stupid for not noticing Lehan’s feelings for her, or not understanding that her family is shady and questioning them more. The thing is, lari *does* know. Something is off. But she CHOOSES to not question it. She CHOOSES to trust them. In my opinion, i think this is just human nature: to maintain the peace/status quo, she CHOOSES to ignore the red flags and to have faith in her family. Because of the trauma from TL1, it’s as if she developed an idealized version of her family - one that loves her dearly, and she loves that and she will do anything to protect that happiness. But she also knows, that something is off - but she’s stubborn and focused in her mission to protect them.
Again, she doesn’t have anyone else to trust, so she defaults to trust her family. There’s no way that they can betray her, since they’re family, after all, right?

Even when she told them she regressed, none of the Belois truly believed her. (This is mentioned in Vol 5, that Rupert is the only one who did when he learned of it). It’s implied that when Lehan said he never doubted her when she said she regressed - it was a lie (he doubted her, so that’s why he was sent to the CP’s ceremony to verify Rupert became CP). Her family just used that knowledge to raise more funds and secretly build an army (that Rupert knew about).
So when she learned that they were truly planning treason, her entire world shattered.
Their betrayal CUT DEEP.
What was she working so hard for?
Why did they not believe her?
Why did they lie to her face?
Why did they use her as a political tool?
Why did her beloved brother love her as a woman?
She told them that Rupert was strong, why did they ignore her?
Why do they continue to keep her in the dark?
Her existence in TL2 was solely to protect them, but they didn’t feel the same. They used her as a tool to achieve their own goals. Again, history repeats. Rupert will find out, and Belois will be annihilated for treason. There’s no reason for him to spare them, treason is treason.
Keep in mind, Lari is an incredibly lonely person. She didn’t have true friends in TL1, and everyone, now including her family, betrayed her. As much as she trusted Rupert, she didn’t trust him enough to request that he spare her family. What could she do? Go to him and beg to spare them? That’s ridiculous. He may care for her, but treason is treason. It’s a serious offense. It’s a crime punishable by death.
By that point, the ‘reality’ that lari was alone without allies hit her hard.
She has no friends
Her family didn’t consider her as a member of the family
Tory’s out to kill her
So many people have betrayed her
And Rupert…
In addition to being betrayed by Belois (which gave her a mental shock), and realizing that she was being cruel to Rupert by “emotionally manipulating him”, she got another mental hit in that *she was completely wrong in not trusting him, and blaming him for all her misfortune*
In a later scene, that you could apply to the climatic scene where she tried to die, Lari mentions how on some sleepless nights, she would wander out for fresh air, and she would sometimes see Rupert, who also was unable to sleep. She would go to him and ask if he was ok. During these moments, she felt that they were the same - they both suffered loneliness. Her, with the burden of her memories of TL1, and him who as a powerless princess who had nothing. (This is mentioned earlier by Rupert, who said that when he had those sleepless nights, she would trot up to him with a light, and ask if he was OK - he also cherished those memories as well, as he greatly appreciated her concern for him). Because she experienced loneliness in TL1, she was able to recognize very easily the loneliness Rupert had as well. Although she said she was taking advantage of it, (i really believe) that’s her trying to justify her desire to comfort him. She may say that she CAN’T accept him, there’s NO WAY, but ultimately, she naturally goes to him and gives him reassurance that things will be ok.
I mentioned before, that in the scenes where she says that she feels guilt when she looks at him, her heart aches - this same description is mentioned when she sees him smiling brightly, when she sees him sad, when she’s away from him for a period of time - it’s implied that its actually her growing feelings for him, and her missing him. By this time in Chapter 90, Lari won’t admit it, but she cares for Rupert wholeheartedly. She will continue to deny these feelings, but they’re there. The manhwa is much more obvious - like in chapter 88 when she imagines a scene where they kiss, she blushes brightly, and says she hates the idea after she thinks of Rupert rejecting it - if she truly hated him, she wouldn’t blush like that, and she definitely won’t feel bad if she thinks Rupert didn’t like it either.
Back to the climatic scene: Lari knows how much it hurts to be doubted by one’s loved one. So all this time where Rupert was being honest with her, trying to tell her she cared for him, tried to get closer - she realizes that’s she was being cruel to him because she didn’t accept his genuine kindness. She was so traumatized and unable to trust anyone because she thought EVERYONE would be unchanging - she had ignored how much HE had changed. Without a doubt, TL2 Rupert is not the same as TL1. She finally accepts how he is his own person, and the feelings he has for her is genuine - but she absolutely cannot accept her own feelings for him. She realizes that she’s been so cruel to him, cruelty he didn’t deserve at all, because she can’t unsee “TL1 Rupert” in him, even though he hasn’t done anything at all to hurt her - if anything, he’s the one that puts himself in harm’s way to protect her, over and over again. Like.. she may have felt betrayed by Belois, but what hurt her as much, if not more, is how she feels so heartbroken when she believes SHE’s the one that hurt Rupert the most. He’s suffered so much already, and she’s just adding on to it. She’s been so stubborn, so blind, so cruel to him, and she can’t forgive herself for it.
After all, her honest wish right now is that Rupert finds happiness. It kills her, literally, to think that she’s the one who is doing the opposite to him by doubting him, not trusting him, and “pretending” to like him.
So yes, Lari has a ton of emotional baggage that she needs to deal with and move on from. She is able to move on quite a bit, but of course, Rupert is the one who will help her fully heal from the trauma together :)
—- Count Belois is a piece of work in the sense that he’s xenophobic, racist, and elitist.
He knew early on that Rupert wasn’t the Crazy Emperor’s child, and considered Rupert inferior/lowborn because he was born from a Willetan mother (Eva). in TL1, he was especially offended because he insisted on marrying Tory, who, officially, was a commoner with a rich merchant father.
He thought it was sacrelage that both the Emperor and Empress had no drop of true “pure” blood, and that was going to ruin the Empire. He had already plotted treason years ago.
In TL2, again, he knew early on that Rupert was born with Willetan blood, was not the Emperor’s (Royal) blood. When he sneaked Lari out of the palace, that was his intent. As a fiercely loyal supporter of Akan, her real father, he planned that once Crazy Emperor stepped down from power, he’ll have Lari regain her “rightful” seat of the throne. A year after adopting Lari, he and Amanda Belois were able to conceive Lehan so their plan was set: Lari, with her pure royal blood, and Lehan, with his pure Belois blood, will be the new rulers of Vellnenli. Not the low-blood Rupert who tricked everyone so boldly. To do that, he funneled all the money from Belois into raising a powerful, strong army, to be used against Rupert when that time came. Unfortunately for him in both timelines, he completely underestimated Rupert who was able to find out about planning for treason, and apprehend him before he set his plans in motion.
He never truly believed in Lari’s regression - he just used her knowledge to build an even stronger army this time. He wants her back not completely for her safety, but rather he wants his “puppet” back in his hands.
Another thing is - although he wanted Lari on the throne, it was to be with Lehan ONLY. After all, Lehan was conceived to be her partner, after all. Also, Lehan fell in love with her easily both timelines, so it works out very well for the Belois’ plans. Of course, it doesn’t matter what Lari thinks, because as a proper lady, she’ll listen to Belois’ wishes. (Except in TL2, she is able to think independently and argue back).
During the Belois vacation arc, the entire Belois estate get a first hand experience of how obvious Rupert likes her. Count Belois does not accept at all the possibility of a relationship of Rupert and Lari - he considers Rupert dirty and beneath them all. He had already seen how close they were in chapter 80 - so he went home and prepared a bunch of “marriage candidates” for Lari to distract Rupert from pursuing her. During Rupert’s time in Belois, the count had hinted to him many times to not look at Lari, not covet her, she’s off limits etc. He repeatedly says that Lari, as a Belois, has a duty to marry whomever he deems is the best for her, and of course both Rupert and Lari don’t like that idea. Obviously Rupert doesn’t want Lari to marry some random guy and leave him alone at the palace, while Lari doesn’t even want to marry anyone right now because she’s trying to survive right now and make sure Rupert becomes Emperor safely.
Of course, when Lari finds out how much Belois looks down on Rupert , is offended on his behalf. She thinks Rupert worked so hard, suffered so much, that he is the person who deserves the throne the most, and it’s unacceptable for anyone to dare think about stealing it from him. She’s never thought that he was low born, or that he was dirty for not being born from Vellnenli - to her, Rupert is just Rupert.

The og party dude, I love 87 mikey a lot hes such a dork at times in the show but sassy and its just the funniest thing to see. Mikey for sure is mostly just light-hearted and upbeat. He is normally the more positive one out of his brothers. I do love that no matter what though Mikey is always shown to be just ad skilled if not more at times in battle do to his natural raw talent uwu

I like to think due to Mikey's bit more matureness in 87 series at least he dose have a less sloppy hand writing, and thanks to him being creative he still likes to had some flare into his writing. Mikey letting sizing of course shows he is out going but it;s a pretty easy thing to say when it comes to the orange banded turtle. The spacing in his letters show that well Mikey may like alone time here and there he perfers the company of others. He is very much a dependent turtle. Not that he can't handle being alone but if the option of being around someone else is there he will rather that that. He uses a soft pressure due to his empathetic and sensitive nature. 87 Mikey is pretty in tune with his emotions. Likely thanks to him being the youngest and having said freedom to be as such. It's why he was able to tell Casey had a crush on Raph, or that Don was truly heart broken over what happened with him and April. And well he is someone who can be dependable in this sense if you notice how far off to the left the dot of his i is you will also learn he is a massive procrastinator. Even if this Mikey tends to take training a bit more serious than other versions he still rather watch tv or make pizza at times.

in Raph I had forgotten the turts have been to Europe but also other dimensions even. So I would argue traveling to different world may just be further than anywhere they have been on earth.

I love constantly making fun of the turtle not being into camping despite it also being like the one time they can fully enjoy just being out and about at times like even in later seasons when the turtles are more free to walk around in later seasons they do go some stigma against them. I feel Mikey just truly has become accustomed to the modern conveniences is all.

far as I am aware or can recall 87 turtles never had a childhood per-say. Their baby stage/kid stage of life was spent when they were normal turtles and by the time they mutated they were already mature which is why they just pop as we see them in show. I feel that is when Mikey first memory kind of starts himself. Not that he don't recall somethings at time just his mind was developed in the same manor so it's easier to recall anything since that moment. Besides it's pretty life changing when you think about it.

I feel you have to be a fake fan not to know the turtles love pizza especially Mikey u-u and like many of the Mikey's it seems that love takes him to learning to cook. I feel he learned the basics from Splinter. But since most his cultural intake is from tv he started to try stuff out from tv shows and just really go into cooking ever since. Not like baking himself he perfers the savory stuff. But He would love to hear about Caasey being a baker uwu he has an odd friendship with Casey so I think he just like to bond with his brother in law this way. Look the moment he clocked into Casey crush he decided Casey was family u-u.
In truth HE should be the one making food for Von I like to think he was the one who gave Raph the idea that cooking would be the way to make peace with her. But Mikey sort of understands where Raph is coming from he should step in and help sorry Von but he knowns it wouldn't quite do the same if he made the food for Raph to give.
But he likely will be the one that has to sort of point out to Raph why this make casey jelly uwu Mikey understand the relationship to food.

Mikey dose love music of course, he tends to like more pop and rock music. A big fan of the likes of Modonna and Billy Joel. And just music that fits his more upbeat persona himself. Often can be found blasting music in the lair when he is in the kitchen or alone in the room it's always a karaoke session with Mikey.

Mikey's pretty good about learning to let things go. Being the youngest dose often mean he sort of gets his feelings hurt unintetnationally by his brothers time to time. But Mikey's able to understand and sort of see where they come from. When Don takes his frustrations out on his inventions being stolen or not working. When Raph makes snarky remarks or Leo even can get to be a tad demanding. His empathy dose allow him the head space to come to an understanding. he isn't immune to making petty comments or sassy remarks himself when he dose get baited into it. He's just a tad more emotionally mature.

Mikey is someone who can just sort of clonk out once it time for bed he is very much like the sun come morning he is up and beaming bright. Which im sure can annoy others not feeling the same way. the sunnier the day the sunnier Mikey himself is going to be. He can be an early riser even soon as the sky is awake Mikey is awake. Even with them often having to be active at night though he find its tough to stay up too late with out being busy he can do it and often can survive on little sleep and still be happy as can be.

Which i feel it dose and should be more often. I truly see Mikey being a fan of many cooking shows and liking to try and plate and presentation food in a similar fashion. Its only for fun so he only dose it when its just him in the kitchen or if hes making something special for someone else. He may also make it look nice buuut that's resevered for someone he had feelings for more than anything uwu or his brothers just to cheer them up.

I know there was like forms of social media in the time that the 87 show aired over and such but with the fact the turtles tend to not really give much implications of wanting to really interact with humans at times but will help because it's the right thing and something they can even do. Mikey seems content with the friends they have ant not in a real need to expand his circle any time soon.

I find the idea of mikey not being extroverted hilarious. Mikeys someone who tends to be able to openly talk with others with out issues often the friendest of the group as well. Where Mikey can be sort of between his brothers when it comes to thier involvement with the humans he tends to lean more on Leo's end not so much to be a hero but very much following his brother well also feeling it is the right thing todo. He dose enjoy meeting new people but that dosent always mean everyone. Sometimes he can find some charaters a bit much and be happy to just move on with them but he's also happy to welcome them back as well. It's just who Mikey is after all.

Mikeys real only education has been his ninja training so to help protect himself after all beyond that it's very much a if he wants to learn deal. Mostly mikey is more invested in not sitting down and learning stuff he dosent need to or even want to. He isn't like an idiot he's been shown to understand some concepts here and there but he's still got his gaps in knowledge he just at least have some common sense. Surpingly.
◐ : My muse and animals. (If they like animals and treat them well, do not care for them at all, e.t.c.).
"I've had a few pets even got some fish for Raph!"
Mikey's had at least three or four pets himself in the show and even got Raph Japanese fighting fish once. I feel like he's very much a guy who sees an animal inn need if home and wants to help. I don't think he keeps any pets himself but will have a pet for a bit before having to take them somewhere they can live a happier life at instead. But of course he dose have a soft spot for cats like many Mikeys Do.

As mentioned before he did gift Raph some fish and its sort of over looked and misinterpreted that 87 raph dosen't care for fighting where it's ture he isn't looking for a fight he sure dose like to pick them still and even express interesting in contact sports still. So I feel mikeys pick of the fish shows this understanding of people he is close to. He did get upset when he thought everyone forgit his brithday but he seemed more down about just not getting acknowledged for it over a party or gifts.
Dosent mean Mikey dosent enjoy getting gifts of course but he dose agree its all about the thought that went into it over what the item is.
I feel like he lokes to try and out the same though behind gifts he may go for others but he dosent really got out of his way very much a it's your brithday or Christmas so I'm getting you gift person.
☘ : My muse’s relation with their family. (If they speak with each other and how much, if they are close or estranged, e.t.c.).
"My brothers can be annoying buy I love them."
It is sad to me how I feel Splinter dose very much and clearly viwe the turtles as his sons but the turtles are some of the few to not see him as a dad but I feel it's that they do. They worked through the first season alone to try and help him demutate from being a rat after all. And when he had advance to go back to the human world theu were all sad at the thought of never seeing him again. Mikey shows he respects Splinter a lot and will often listen to him. Like when he refers to them as man and gets scolded he corrects himself. I feel he dose see Splinter as someone who cared and cares for him but worries he may lose that.
But knows he at least has his brother always.
Mikey dosent take advantage of being baby brother comaprednto later interactions fo and will. But I feel his brothers do instead viwe him a bit more that way so it dose allow Mikey to get away with his antics and such but also at the same time getting seen as equal to his brothers as a ninja.
I feel Mikey is the closest to Leo.he often follows in thier lead with not real fight. And tends to team up with Leo the most well sharing in Leo's ideals at times here and there. It could be he is just following because Leo is in charge but often he also speaks up when ever Don or Raph tend to expression not seeing why they need todo something he will speak up before Leo.
I feel he is about the same closeness to Don and Raph. But feels the pair are much closer he dosent have anything against this because he in turn os the same with Leo after all. But he also seems just as happy to be around either of them as Leo. But Raoh at least dose seem guilty of seeing Mikey as baby brother even expressing he can't beat even a robot version of the guy and the time he because a kid turtle didn't help. So he will at times get annoyed with raph and is often opposite of the more rude brother. Where with Donnie he seems to try and hold mkre balance along with.

I have finally finished watching RESET (technically I watched it the other day, but whatever) and wow, I really loved this show.
A little summary: Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun are stuck in a time loop. They're on a bus that keeps exploding, and they need to find the cause of the explosion so they can stop it from happening – and hopefully put an end to the loop.
The series consists of 15 episodes and they're all available on YouTube and Viki.
Okay, so: I love time loops. There's a lot you can do with this concept, a whole sea of possibilities you can explore. They can get frustrating if you don't handle them well, but it's definitely not the case for this show, which kept my interest from start to finish.
This show has everything: good characters, a good mystery, funny moments, interesting conflicts, good pacing, some twists, and a satisfying ending. I'm so glad I watched it ~
Also wow, the acting is VERY good. Especially one character, but I'm not gonna say who. If you watch the whole thing you'll know who I'm talking about 👀

ABOUT THE CHARACTERS
The main characters are really likeable and relatable, and the secondary and background ones are interesting too. Each passenger has their own story that is explored while Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun carry on with their investigation, and some of them made me so emotional 🥺
Li Shiqing is amazing. She's smart, she's determined, but above all she's very compassionate. She cares about people and wants to save everyone from their fate, I think she's a very admirable character.
Xiao Heyun is a living meme. I swear his expressions always sent me. He's very relatable to me because he's logical and pragmatic, but he also has a strong moral compass (which is often strengthened by Shiqing's presence) so in the end even when he wants to protect himself he always decides to do the right thing.
Lu (Apostle of Cats, Conqueror of Asthma, Chosen One of the Light) Di is such an awesome character! I love love love him, he's so sweet but also the way he wants to be a hero? To get the chance to save the world? Precious 💖
All of them go through so much, although the ones who suffer the most are Shiqing and Heyun, since they remember everything.
So much trauma, guys 😩
ABOUT THE STORY
The mystery surrounding the explosion is handled very well because there are layers to it. You think you know what's going and on and then nope you don't! There's always something you're missing.
I loved how there were little details sprinkled here and there throughout the series which you could only truly appreciate at the end :)
The ending made me so emotional I cried 😭
ABOUT THE THEMES
This show deals with many themes because of how it's structured. Since we get a glimpse of every passenger and their story, we come in contact with very different backgrounds and situations. Some of them are very poor, others struggle with family issues and guilt.
And then of course there's the theme of justice... and also the questions raised by the loop itself: since no one will remember what we do when the day starts again, does it mean it doesn't matter?
MY LITTLE HEADCANON NO ONE CARES ABOUT
Both Lu Di and Xiao Heyun are bi af. I have proof when it comes to Xiao Heyun because if not bi why bi lighting?
Wait I also have proof regarding Lu Di because he says both Heyun and Shiqing are cute, but I'm not sure it wasn't just a weird translation gfbfjf
Anyway they're both SO gonna enter a poly triad with Li Shiqing, supporting each other and their ambitions and interests and adopting 87 cats.

hey it’s the anon who asked about your ocs. i’d love to find out more about lotus blossom, kitsune and echo.
Hello anon! Before I start, I want to mention that Lotus and Kitsune are my original creations, they are already existing characters in the TMNT franchise (Lotus being from the 87 series and Kitsune being from the IDW comics). This is just my version of how I image them to be in the 2012 series. As for Echo, they are an official original character. Now, let’s get started!
Lotus Blossom
Lotus Blossom, her true name is unknown, is a lone warrior from 700 AD China during the Tang Dynasty. She was the youngest of 7 children and the only girl. Tragically her entire family was attacked and murdered by evil crooks, leaving Lotus to be the only survivor. She now travels the land, finding those who need help and assisting them, as well as hunting down the men who killed her family.
The Turtles met Lotus when they were on another time traveling adventure with Renet Tilley. Their paths crossed when she was on her journey and offered to help the Turtles and Renet return home. During their adventure her and Leo formed a bond, respecting each other as swordsman and having an understanding towards each other since they are similar in both personality, past experiences, and loss. Eventually a romantic interest blooms between them, though Leo is hesitant if he should open his heart to her since his last experience with love didn’t end so well.
Kitsune
Kitsune was old friends with Splinter, Shredder, and Tang Shen during their youth. The four were inseparable. Growing up Kitsune was a prodigy in using magic, often entertaining her friends with her spells. As time went on Kitsune grew to hate how Saki and Yoshi constantly fought for Shen’s affection which led to her to resent her friend group, and especially grew to despise Shen (she kinda had a crush on Yoshi too). Eventually Kitsune left home and refused to stay in contact with anyone, and eventually had a daughter named Shinigami. Raising her daughter alone, Kitsune taught Shinigami the ways of witchcraft and dark magic, all while also being a loving and supportive mother. She was even the one who originally owned Shini’s cats eyes Hypno ball weapon she uses in the show.
Years later Shredder reunited with Kitsune and offered for her daughter to join the Foot Clan. Despite hating Shredder, she accepted and quickly saw through his lies (ex: she knows Karai is Miwa and Shredder isn’t her real father) but you know what they say keep your friends close and your enemies closer ;)
Echo
Echo was a part of one of the many Kraang experiments a few years before the Turtles were mutated, where they took animals that had special abilities (like Chameleons with their camouflage ability) and experimented on them, mutated them, testing them and seeing how they operate. These mutagen experiments led to the creation of Echo. Thanks to the mutation it enhanced their camouflage abilities, upgrading them into shapeshifting powers. After a few years of practice, Echo master their new mutant powers and escaped the Kraang prison.
To hide from the Kraang, Echo took shelter in an old rundown theater, up above the stage. There they found their love in acting and drama. They would watch all the shows and learn new acting tips and ways to truly get into character. One day, Echo spots the Turtles and the Mighty Mutanimals, and seeing them as the perfect cast of characters Echo decides to test their powers and acting skills on them, as well as the bonus to mess with these fellow mutants (Echo is a bit of a prankster). What starts as a harmless prank however gets out of hand and goes way too far. Echo starts as a enemy who truly doesn’t know better, but slowly turns into an ally of the Turtles and a future member of the Mutanimals.

Ngl, I had...no idea who to ship Donnie with. Raph, Leo, and Mikey come with Love Interests thanks to the 87!Series but Donnie was giving me a hard time to ship with. So thank you for giving me a new OTP, I love them and want to write oneshots/stories with them!

Honestly this is wonderful to hear! I'm super glad our ship is catching on and other people are enjoying our Crackship and Rarepair! And I'm glad we were able to give you a romantic pairing for Donnie! For me personally, I'm not really into shipping when it comes to the rise turtles, so it was a surprise when me and Dakota created this ship out of a joke in a Discord server years ago and it truly struck us from the start. So I get it with the OTP thing! These guys are literally everything to me in more than one way!
As for the second portion, we knew this was coming eventually, and it's not like we can or even want to control what people do, or act like we own these two characters (news flash: we don't), but I'd like to state the following for anyone wanting to create something for our ship since it's catching on:
Both me and Dakota are extremely uncomfortable with T*cest and while we know people have most likely already made fanfic of Jason/Donnie before, we'd kindly ask that if you're basing *our version of Jasonnie in any sort of association with T*cest that you don't. Not only that, but that you never, ever, ever associate us with your work or your version of Jasonnie in that case. (*Jason's backstory, our original characters (which we do own), reference our fics in major ways, etc.)
Both me and Dakota are ace-spec, so if you're going to associate us with your Jasonnie work please don't when it comes to any kind of sexual work. Which, if you're using our version of Jasonnie, shouldn't be a problem because both the characters are asexual within our series. This applies to kinks as well.
Other than that however, here is what you can do:
If it isn't sexual or in any way involved with T*cest we'd love to see your work on our versions or your version(s) of Jasonnie!
Write/draw/create whatever you want!
I've never heard of a ship that you credit the founder(s) of before so there's no credit necessary, unless you're creating something based on the events of our series/the main story: It's Unfair! Which will always be appreciated if you linked the original story/series in your creation!
You can all treat Jasonnie as any other ship, just please respect our boundaries if you're going to associate us with your work!
We love these boys to death and welcome any medium any one is willing to create them in! If you do create anything that doesn't go against our boundaries please @ us, send us a link, or submit it and we'll happily take a look at it if we want to!
