DI!Leon Headcanons on planning + having a wedding…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
RE:DI!Leon x F!Reader
Tumblr media
Leon was supposed to propose to you during an out-of-the-country trip to Switzerland but unfortunately, he left the ring behind and had to secretly beat himself up over it. One beautiful evening, after you and him had just gotten home from the orchestra, he fished the tiny velvet box from his pocket and got down on one knee, too overcome by nerves to remember the speech he swore he memorized and too much in love to stall the question.
“You’re the last person I’d want to lose and the first person I’d think of growing old with. Y/N, will you marry me?”. In the end, he got the most unforgettable ‘yes’ he’s ever heard from you.
The wedding planning took 12 months, enough time to plan the wedding straight out of your dreams. He made sure to make the occasion magical, ensuring that the wedding is fit for a goddess amongst women (in his humble opinion). The wedding rings you and Leon agreed on were perfect, eager for the day that you two will finally have them on forever and ever, the rings facing wear and tears as you go gray and feeble with him.
Everyone saw your wedding dress before your wedding day– everyone but Leon. As soon as the large doors opened up and revealed you, Leon could no longer stop the tears flowing down his cheeks– you were so beautiful and breathtaking and it was as if veiled light itself was walking down the aisle. He was unable to keep his gaze to the front, head tilting to admire you every second. “You look so beautiful,” he excitedly whispered. “I can’t believe I’m marrying you.”
Since you and him agreed on a wedding color scheme of black, different shades of pink, and varying shades of warm white, the flowers you had for your bridal bouquet also followed that scheme, the flowers being cashmere anemones; white and baby pink tulips; vanda orchids; white limonium flowers, and white mink proteas. Everyone else also wore their dresses and suits in pinks and black; Chris opted for a sleek black turtleneck and blazer with a pink flower pinned to his breast pocket. Most of the women in attendance at your wedding opted to wear pink, with the men opting for black. Everyone was buzzing with excitement in their placements: Rebecca and Claire making joking bets that whoever cries first will pay up; Jill and Hunnigan were talking about how pretty you will look; Ethan and Chris were hyping Leon up since the groom was nervous but nevertheless excited; Piers and Carlos were talking about how good everything looks and how magical the air feels.
When the priest said “you may now kiss the bride”, Leon took a small step closer to you, gently lifting the veil that covered your face. He did everything slowly, as if he wanted to savor the moment and commit every single detail– the sparkle in your eyes, the music in the background, and how everyone and everything else seemed to be a blur of colors except for the glowing bride in front of him. As soon as he removed the veil from your face, he took a few moments to admire you and pepper you with sincere compliments. He placed his left hand on your waist while his right gently cupped your cheek, big hands handling you with so much caution as if you were made of porcelain. He leans in and presses the gentlest, softest, most tender kiss ever, a small spreading on his lips when it really sinks in that he finally gets to call you his wife.
You and Leon had your first dance somewhere private since you wanted it to be a moment only you and him will share so after the first dance, you and him walk back to the reception hand-in-hand with the brightest smiles. The ring looked amazing on both your hands and Leon couldn’t stop to admire your hand. “You’ve got a ring like mine too, you know,” you’d softly tell him. “I know. It looks better with you though,” he’d respond sweetly before kissing the back of your hand. For the bouquet toss, you decided to use an exact replica of your bouquet since you wanted to keep your flowers in your own home; Rebecca ended up catching your bouquet, much to everyone’s surprise. She happily swung it around, showing it off to everyone, before walking with a happy sway of her hips towards her boyfriend Billy, which made Billy chuckle before pressing a kiss to the crown of her head.
You and Leon left early, waving everyone good night and good bye as you got in the bridal car that would take you to the hotel you were going to stay in. Since Chris was sober and had already volunteered to drive you to the hotel, he also left the party early. As soon as you two were out of the reception, it was immediately all kisses and giggles and I love yous muttered. Chris had to look you two through the rear-view mirror and say “I’m still here. You’ve got a room for all that when we get there.”
Married life won’t be all smooth sailing and conflicts are unavoidable but in facing and resolving those conflicts together, you will discover just how strong your commitment to each other is.

I lieu of October coming up, how would some of the resident evil characters spend Halloween with the reader? ♡♡♡
𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗡 ✧.*
┇LEON S. KENNEDY┇CARLOS OLIVEIRA┇ETHAN WINTERS┇ ┇CLAIRE REDFIELD┇ASHLEY GRAHAM┇ADA WONG┇ content: SFW! Ada's part is slightly suggestive! a/n: thank you for the request! I had problem with some of these for a while, but with halloween around the corner i found the festive vibes for this!! hope you enjoy, dear! thank you for requesting again!! « masterlist┇reblogs appreciated! »
Tumblr media
LEON S. KENNEDY
Leon doesn't usually dress up. It's out of the way for him to do so usually. But he can be bribed with a good meal and hug.
Old man thinks he's too cool to enjoy Halloween. But he actually really enjoyed dressing up in his low budget vampire suit from the discounted section of a Halloween store.
This is the only time in the year he would slick back his hair with gel in spite of how you think it looks really good on him, framing his features and accentuating his blue eyes. He is very stubborn and likes his hair down.
Now he wears the same costume every year. So much that you're getting really sick of it. He insists that it makes him look good (and it does)
He tries to act cool, but he hates horror movies. When you are watching it together, his hand will be clasping your arm tight, shaking a little.
"Are you sure you don't want to watch something else?" You would ask, and he would respond with: "Pfft. Me? I'm not scared at all."
Tumblr media
CLAIRE REDFIELD
Halloween is Claire's favourite holiday! She LOVES it.
And so does the kids in her neighbourhood. She always has a huge smile on her face with trick or treaters, will compliment everyone's costumes and give away extra treats.
I see her going all out for Halloween parties. She learnt SFX makeup and a bit of sewing so that her costumes and make-up are really scary.
Which is a stark contrast with her brother, Chris. He thinks dressing up is a chore and a waste of time. When he does dress-up, it's always in uniform (e.g. firefighter, cop). He thinks it makes him look cool. (He's not wrong but, what is up with Chris and uniforms?)
Already planned out her costumes for the next five years (Ideas keep changing too). She definitely wishes there are more days in Halloween because she has so many ideas.
Tumblr media
CARLOS OLIVEIRA
Carlos is a menace during Halloween.
In no way is Carlos the best at making costumes or doing scary make-up, but Carlos is very creative.
Years ago, Carlos disguised himself as a stuffed doll sitting on the porch. Gave all the kids the fright of their life. He will watch them scram away in fear, and bellows a laugh. (traumatising kids is his favourite pasttime)
Another year, he devised a mechanism that springs up a shadowed figure anytime someone rings his doorbell.
He became infamous in his neighbourhood for his antics, and it's now an attraction for both kids and grown-ups every Halloween.
I also see him and Claire becoming really good friends from their united love for Halloween!
Tumblr media
ASHLEY GRAHAM
I headcanon Ashley to crochet, so with Halloween coming, I see her crocheting a spooky themed sweater top, or a granny square bag to embrace the season.
I think Ashley loves to host Halloween parties. With the size of her dad's house, she can accomodate a lot of friends. Often going over the top with themes and decorations.
This year's theme is Harry Potter. She custom ordered a 3 metre (10 feet) tall animatronic of a Dementor in her party and everyone loved it!
She also loves bingeing spooky movies during Halloween. Ashley loves horror movies so much! I don't see her screaming at horror movies, she has grown an immunity to them from watching too many.
Tumblr media
ETHAN WINTERS
We already know Ethan has meticulously planned for Halloween almost a month in advance just for Rose.
He is determined to make Rose experience the best childhood, and that includes Halloween too.
Ethan loves matching costumes (would never admit it though), especially with Rose and you too.
When he finishes dressing up Rose, he snaps a million pictures of her, claiming he will show it to Rose when she's all grown up. And Rose will say "Dad, I don't want to take any more photos. The treats are gonna run out!"
Very protective. If anyone has a scary costume, he will steer Rose away from the scary man. Same for people who are underdressed, or is just generally creepy. Not on his watch.
Tumblr media
ADA WONG
Halloween is not Ada's cup of tea. She goes out of her way to avoid going out during these days.
For trick or treaters, she leaves a candy bowl on her porch for kids to help themselves. Ada enjoys seeing the silly costumes the kids wear, but she despises interacting with them.
If you are special to Ada, she will put on a sexy Halloween outfit in the privacy of your quarters just for you. She won't take responsibility for whatever you guys might do afterwards. But those are just for your eyes only.
Ada watches horror movies with a blank face. At this point, nothing phases her anymore. I think she'll find them boring and slightly frustrating, with the stupid things the protagonists do to get themselves in danger. She rather watch true crime instead.

Extremely frustrating to see how many people don't bother to understand Chris Redfield outside of a shipping context. Hell, even within those contexts he's made into an idiot, hyper aggressive and easily jealous, or a pillow who's supposed to take everyones bullshit with a smile (hmm wonder why you guys keep doing that to large men you find intimidating 🤔).
So in combo with my "Jill is allowed to get mad without it framing her as evil" post, I'm going to tell you Chris' anger and selfishness is always punished.
Chris is not allowed to get angry without severe consequences aka people dying around him, and this is a different kind of refreshing because normally they save that for the women of the cast, but this gets slapped on Chris of all people. And it's good actually.
Chris has been foisted into leadership position after leadership position when we've consistently seen he works best with a partner as a team or as a team player in a larger group. Resident Evil 1 with Rebecca, Code Veronica with Claire, a couple of manga installments with Jill, Lost in Nightmares with Jill, Resident Evil 5 with Sheva, like, these are all examples of where Chris is functioning at his best because he has someone where they can fill in the gaps for each other's shortcomings. His history with the air force where they are constantly working on a team, and he was too young to be thrust into leadership positions, built that foundation.
And they keep taking the guy who's used to being a support player and putting him into a leadership position, which leads to frustration because he's the guide instead of being able to ask for guidance. This is like taking the best chef in your kitchen and turning him into the restaurant manager when he has extremely little account experience. Yes, he'll figure it out with practice, but a lot of shit is going to get fucked over in the process until things smooth out. So when Chris gets angry and loses sight of his surroundings, the narrative punishes him.
He nearly loses Claire in Code Veronica because he was on a manhunt for Umbrella. He loses his second squad (ignoring the amnesia) in RE6. He loses Arias multiple times, and Rebecca gets kidnapped in Vendetta. He loses Ethan in RE8. This man is not allowed to let anger cloud his vision for even a second, and anger is usually one of the few emotions men are allowed to show without getting ridiculed for it.
To branch it out even further and say he's not allowed to think selfishly without consequences isn't so far-fetched either. It's been beaten into Chris over and over that if he does something for himself, people are going to get hurt or worse. His life isn't his own because inspiring leader Chris Redfield has to pull everyone together, and just, the pressure of having to be this image other people built up of him based on jobs where he was working with someone equally capable in order to succeed? The team effort tossed aside to raise him up higher and higher?
As a big brother he had to be selfless once their parents were gone. Again when all he wanted to do was make sure Jill, his close friend, was okay instead of fighting another impossible world scale battle against Wesker. Again when all he wanted to do was grieve over his lost team in RE6. Again when he was just trying to save Ethan in RE8 (Look, I'll talk about the pitfalls of RE8 writing later). And these are only the jobs we see! How many times has this lesson been thrown in his face for 10 years! 20 years!
Do you have any idea what that makes his relationships outside of work look like? How he might keep to himself just enough to maintain distance but ease anyone's worries. How he would constantly put others desires before his own wants and needs. We see this in bits and pieces in Death Island. I still think mentioning Piers at all instead of them talking out Jill's trauma was dumb, but Piers death told Chris "this is his life forever". Piers death told Chris this is what he gets for letting anger get the best of him. The cherry on top of this shit pie? Piers wasn't exempt from pedestaling Chris.
They did not need Chris for that job in China. There are other people who had leadership experience in the BSAA. They seriously should've sent Chris home to recover after finding him, but they didn't. Why? Well, the hero worship remained. Piers thought his own life was worth less than the great Chris Redfield. The one time Chris tricks himself into being selfish, the one time he believes he can take a seat and step away from this life, the one fucking man he believes sees him as a person still views him as this hero he never wanted to be, and Piers dies for it. And just like the drunk and sorry state he caught Leon in in Vendetta, that anger Jill has for going in headfirst is reminding Chris of himself and how it only made things worse.
Chris doesn't say a god damn word during Dylan's commentary of him, because Chris believes Dylan's right. Chris probably tells himself those same words so he tries to be less angry, more selfless, and it fucking loops. And even though Chris has a support system, it really really makes me wonder if he's using it, or if everyone is so used to using him as a crutch that he never bothers reaching out in the first place.

“The future belonged to the showy and the promiscuous”: Why the 21st Century Loves Edith Wharton

If ever there were a good time to read the American writer Edith Wharton (1862-1937), who published over forty books across four decades, it’s now. Since the Wharton revival of the late 20th century, when directors were adapting (the Pulitzer-Prize winning) The Age of Innocence, Ethan Frome, The Buccaneers, and The House of Mirth, her star has continued to rise. As I yesterday prepared to teach The Custom of the Country, which many have called Wharton’s greatest novel, a friend texted me Sofia Coppola’s article on the surprising appeal of its social-climbing heroine. Coppola is developing Undine Spragg’s story for Apple TV. A kind of Gilded Age Material Girl, Undine has been ready for her close-up for years.
Coppola joins an impressive roster of contemporary admirers of Wharton that includes Roxane Gay, Laura Bush, Lisa Lucas, Peggy Noonan, Jennifer Egan, Stephin Merritt, Claire Messud, Meg Wolitzer, Mindy Kaling, Doug Hughes, Brandon Taylor, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ali Benjamin, Vendela Vida, Ottessa Moshfegh, and Kristin Hannah. At a time when publishing houses are compelled to scale back, new editions of Wharton’s books are appearing in print with introductions by Coppola, Egan, and Taylor.
Tumblr media

Those who think they don’t know Wharton might be surprised to learn they do. A reverence for Wharton’s writings informs Sex and the City (whose pilot welcomes us to “the Age of Un-Innocence”), Gossip Girl, Downtown Abbey (whose “Lady Edith” suggests a nod to Wharton), and HBO’s The Gilded Age which, like Downton, is created by the Wharton-appreciating Julian Fellowes. His Bertha and George, after all, are named for the power couple from The House of Mirth.
But why Wharton? Why now? Perhaps it’s because for all its new technologies, conveniences, and modes of travel and communication, our own “Gilded Age” is a lot like hers. For the post-war and post-flu-epidemic climate that engendered The Age of Innocence is not far removed from our post-COVID-19 reality. In both historical moments, citizens of the world have witnessed a retreat into conservativism and a rise of white supremacy. Fringe groups like the “Proud Boys” and “QAnon” and deniers of everything from the coronavirus to climate change and Sandy Hook are invited to the table in the name of free speech, and here Wharton’s distrust of false narratives resonates particularly well. Post-9/11 calls for patriotism and the alignment of the American flag with one political party harken back to Wharton’s poignant questioning, in a 1919 letter, of the compulsion to profess national allegiance:
how much longer are we going to think it necessary to be “American” before (or in contradistinction to) being cultivated, being enlightened, being humane, & having the same intellectual discipline as other civilized countries?[i]
Her cosmopolitan critique of nationalist fervor remains instructive to us today.
Edith Wharton seems to have foreseen the excesses, obsessions, and spectacles of our current moment. The scandals documented in Wharton’s narratives serve as harbingers of the sensations that flash across our hand-held screens. Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking touches on the same nerve as the sexual exploitation of minors in Wharton’s Summer (1917) and The Children (1928). The quid pro quo run-in between Wharton’s Lily Bart and Gus Trenor looks uncomfortably forward to Harvey Weinstein and #MeToo. The rise to power of Donald Trump would not surprise Edith Wharton.
Tumblr media
Photo: “Vanity,” by Auguste Toulmouche, circa 1870.
Wharton’s tenacious Undine Spragg—as horrifying to progressive era readers as she is admired by Generation Z—can be conceived of as the original social media influencer conscious of her brand. For Undine and her creator know that “the future belonged to the showy and the promiscuous”[ii] and that the turn-of-the-century “world where conspicuousness passed for distinction”[iii] foreshadows our own. Wharton would describe Undine in terms we might use for a “Real Housewife of Park Avenue”: “If only everyone would do as she wished she would never be unreasonable” (162). Undine’s world encourages her to aspire to the rank of trophy wife and the sexual double standard dictating that “genius is of small use to a woman who does not know how to do her hair”[iv] would apply to Wharton herself who, on the 150th anniversary of her birth, would be assessed by a male novelist in terms of how she sizes up to Grace Kelly or Jackie Kennedy.[v]  The writer who would declare, in her wildly popular interior design manual The Decoration of Houses, privacy “one of the first requisites of civilized life”[vi] would be appalled by what is broadcast across social media. Wharton also would’ve anticipated the racism directed at Meghan Markle and why granting Oprah an interview would not help relations with her spouse’s family. Children forcibly separated from families due to morally dubious immigration policies echo the plight of war refugees for whose welfare Edith Wharton labored, while the distrust of the cultural other echoes the writer’s own complicated nationalist allegiances.[vii]
Ten years ago, Lev Raphael took the temperature of Wharton studies declaring in the Huffington Post: “Edith Wharton is hot.” She is now positively on fire. I offer below a short excerpt from the introduction to The Bloomsbury Handbook to Edith Wharton, which appears in print today.
                                                           *********************
Tumblr media
The image gracing the cover of The Bloomsbury Handbook to Edith Wharton, capturing a scene on the terrace of Edith Wharton’s French home, reflects the cultural work that this book takes as its task. The writer is in her element: she cradles in her lap her beloved dogs, she sits outdoors at a well-appointed property she lovingly transformed, she surrounds herself with fashionably dressed cosmopolitans, and she smiles. The moment validates an idea expressed in The Age of Innocence: that “the air of ideas is the only air worth breathing.” As host, Wharton, by this point an internationally acclaimed artist, has brought together representatives of an admiring generation from diverse backgrounds that would outlive and perhaps learn from her. That sunlit terrace is doing something we hope this book will do: provide a foundation for future conversations with Edith Wharton at the center.
Tumblr media
Photo: Edith Wharton publicity shot.
Around the time this photograph was taken, Wharton would reflect in A Backward Glance that “[t]he world is a welter and has always been one; but though all the cranks and the theorists cannot master the old floundering monster, . . . here and there a saint or a genius suddenly sends a little ray through the fog, and helps humanity to stumble on, and perhaps up” (379). Wharton’s writings arguably send a ray and help humanity stumble on and up in our own Gilded Age. It is the aim of this collection of essays, produced by leaders in the field at a time of global crisis, to make a meaningful contribution to the scholarship on and dialogue about the work of Edith Wharton and to open up new possibilities for understanding and embracing a writer whose corpus is as enormous as it is resonant. To borrow from Wharton’s preface to her anthology The Book of the Homeless (1916), in which she conceives of her volume, as she so often does, as a house: “You will see from the names of the builders what a gallant piece of architecture it is. . . . So I efface myself from the threshold and ask you to walk in.”[viii]

@thatscarletflycatcher replied to your post “@malewifebillcage replied to your post “I CANNOT...”:
I don't hate MI3 (tbh, I don't hate ANY of the MI movies) but it is the one I like the less. I think it is overall a better movie than MI2 simply by reigning in the nonsense, reigning in the masks, understanding that Ethan does not work as a playboybond type character, going back to female characters being more than sexy lamp love interests… PSH elevates the movie, the introduction of Benji was a good choice… but it isn't FUN. MI2 is FUNTM. Taken in and of itself, the writing goes from blah to bad, it's formulaic (even for this type of movie), and introduces certain dark, desperate, cliched tensions that don't fit with the tone of the MI movies as a whole. Not even MI1 is this tense… and for what? But also I understand how retrospectively MI4-6 elevated several of its mediocrities.
cw for full negativity mode here, sorry MI3 fans
I mean, I was very hyped for PSH and I do think he's one of the best parts of the movie for sure, but there is literally no writing there. that's what I mean about the script, like, Cruise and Hoffman and Rhames and Monaghan are giving it their all but there's so little to work with. like, PSH is... he's giving 100% but like Owen Davian is a void of motivation. He has none, there's no reason he's such a motherfucker, his entire character is "I'm the bad guy" which just... is really hard to swallow when compared to Phelps and Claire, Solomon, even Colbalt has purpose behind his shit when he was so not the focus of the movie. Davian just.....
I only think one of Benji's scenes is good, like the antigod speech made me want to claw my eyes out, it's so bad. But when Ethan and Benji have back and forth over the phone, that had charm and chemistry.
And there's multiple points where, as a writer, I can see the strain of the script. I make fun of the inexplicable IMF-Issued Unsexy Bondage Mask but I know why it's there, because if Ethan could say anything the whole plot would unravel. And when Ethan is alone with Musgrave in Shanghai and he just..... spills the entire plot to Ethan and lays out his motivations, like that's another function of the weakness of the story.
AND THEN ON TOP OF ALL THAT is the atrocious moment to moment writing. all those lines like the weird incest joke. AND THEN the complete lack of establishment of the team. I remember when Maggie Q had that nice little moment about the prayer to bring her cat back. I literally said to my friends "that would be a nice character beat if I remembered her fucking character's name."
I'm not even touching on cinematography/lighting here because that's a WHOLE other post but my point is that all the good character moments are completely thanks to the cast bringing their A game to a Z tier script and it drives me up the fucking wall.
SLAMS FISTS ON THE TABLE
I COULD RUN A CLINIC ON THIS GODDAMN SCRIPT OKAY
sorry that's it i've exorcised my emotions now

The Barnes Carrick Children
Like I said in my last post, I decided to update my get know the children of Adelaide and Claire and here's Adelaide's.
Tumblr media
Claire Mae Carrick:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her birthday is August 2, 2022
They found out they were pregnant with Claire (and her twin) a few days after they eloped
When they had started to come up with names for her, they wanted to name her after important people in their lives
Both of them thought naming her after Adelaide’s best friend (and one of my other MC’s) Claire would be a good idea (which Claire was thrilled about sharing a name with her non-biological, but still her niece)
Tobias had also suggested using Adelaide’s middle name (Mae) but she wouldn’t cave in until about 2 months before Claire was born.
They also agreed to use Tobias’ last name, since Adelaide wasn’t going to go by her maiden name once they got married.
When Claire grows up, she becomes an actor. She mostly does Broadway musicals like her mother’s favorite, Six.
She then goes on to marry Oliver (Claire and Ethan's son), and they go on to have two daughters.
Ethan Jude Carrick:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His birthday is August 2, 2022
They found out about Ethan at one of their appointments when they were trying to find a heartbeat but found two instead.
Also like Claire, they decided to name Ethan after someone important.
It took a lot of convincing but Adelaide got Tobias to agree to name him after his bestie Ethan.
Tobias was against using Ethan’s full name to name his son, so they compromised on Jude as his middle name.
Again they used Carrick for his last name.
When Ethan is older, he becomes a writer for different newspaper companies like The Boston Post and The New York Times.
He goes on to marry his co worker, James and they have no children
Atlas Theodore Carrick:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His birthday is February 16, 2026
When they were thinking of names, Tobias suggested they named him after her twin brother Atlas, which she agreed with.
When they told Atlas, he was shocked but very excited that one of his nephews would have his name.
His last name is also Carrick
Atlas grows up and becomes a music teacher in London.
He goes on to marry a west end actress, Courtney, and they have a girl.
There is Adelaide and Tobias' Children

Daughter of the black hood
Tumblr media
Claire, the daughter of the notorious serial killer the black hood. As for which he “died” years ago as they say. Claire had a special relationship with Ethan Landry, a nerdy college boy which she met a couple months ago. Everyone knew who Claire’s dad was but they just didn’t say anything because of how sensitive she was about it.
3rd person-
Actually ethan didn’t care for it that much, as him and Claire were best friends and he wanted to be something more, but she didn’t know that. Claire had thought of Ethan like a little brother, Ethan obviously didn’t feel the same. But Ethan had a secret, the secret that him and his family were just like them, and if Claire ever found out. She would never talk to him again, and that’s something he would never want.
Claire’s point of view
Today was another day of being “the daughter of the black hood” as they say. I hate it, I hate the name,my dad, all of it! I wish my dad just could have been normal. And not some stupid serial killer, now that’s all they know me as. “Oh what if she is a killer too” “Omg your dad was the black hood” it’s a constant reminder as people at school give me weird and concerning looks. My family legacy is horrible, my mom is a stuck up suburban woman,my dad is a killer, my sister is really the only normal one in my family. And the only one I can talk too, besides ethan. My best friend who’s been here for me through all of it. I’m just glad it’s over, he’s gone.
There’s a Halloween party today! Maybe this will get my mind off it today, I walked out of my dorm and saw ethan. I invited him and of course he said yes. He’s always up for a party! I went and talked with the group and they were all coming too. I guess today will go good after all, I continued my day normally barely thinking about the black hood. This was a good thing, I’ve been trying my hardest to forget about him. But it’s impossible when something like that happened to you, it’s something you just can’t get off your mind.
Ethan’s point of view-
Today Claire invited me to a Halloween party, I already know she’s gonna look beautiful in the costume she’s wearing. I saw Quinn sitting on a bench and she told me to go over there, then she started talking about how we need to help our dad with the killings. This came like a shock to me, because what if Claire finds out? What if the whole group finds out if we do this! I looked back over to Quinn, “I’ll do it. But we better not get caught” “we won’t you big baby!” She said. I walked away rethinking my words, well there’s no going back now. I saw Claire standing and talking on the phone, she turned over and showed a small wave with a smile. I don’t think she knows how much it means to me when just smiles at me. And even acknowledges my existence, im pretty lucky to know someone like her, and I don’t wanna lose her. Ever.
It was getting closer to the Halloween party, I was on FaceTime with Claire talking about what we were going to be tonight, just like when we were kids. “I heard chad was going to be a cowboy” she said. “OH!! I know what you should be!” She said “oh god what..” “ a cardboard night!” She said giggling. God her laugh is beautiful, she stopped laughing after she realized what look i was giving her. “Hey you ok?” “Oh yeah! Sorry just zoned out for a minute” I guess I played that off good. “Well I gotta go plan! Bye!” Once she hung up on the phone I plunged myself on the bed, just thinking about her in a costume. She’s gonna look beautiful while I’m in a cardboard night costume.
Claire’s point of view-
Well now I know Ethan’s gonna be a card board knight… I should get a 70s costume! I know it dosent match that well but I’ve always wanted to dress 70s since I was a kid so now is my chance!
Tumblr media
The costume🔝
I walked into the party and saw Ethan standing in his cardboard night costume and laughed, he looked like a little kid! I walked over to him chad and Tara, she greeted me with a little hug. We drank and danced and everything was going well, it was almost like we were living a normal college life. Until I got phone call, It was from a unknown number, I hung it up and continued dancing until it rung again. I finally picked it up..
“Get away from your friends claire, now.” He said, i knew this voice, the black hood. My hands shaking holding the phone I walked away from them slowly and into the bathroom. “You know who I am and what I want” tears filled up my eyes thinking that it was finally over, but obviously it was far from it.

Note
I'm bad at thinking on the spot, but I have some firm faves, lol. (Disclaimer, I accidentally wrote you an encyclopaedia, sorry!)
1. Jill. REmake was my first game early this year and I played as her. It's what sucked me into fullblown brainrot lmfao. I've played most of the series now and for the most part, Jill has remained one of the most consistent and realistic female characters throughout the series (imo). I mean, I've never looked at my screen an thought "has the director ever seen her character before? What the hell is this?" Which in RE is a rare occurrence lmfao! She isn't super, overly sexualised and I honestly just thoroughly enjoy her personality and story. She knows who she is and what her goals are. Death Island absolutely solidified this for me. It made me feral, I stg. Her arc was phenomenal. I want a brand new Jill campaign. I need her as a main game character again soon. She's one of the best. SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE WITH CHRIS KILLING WESKER INSTEAD OF SHEVA SOMEBODY HAS TO SAY IT. An original that holds her own. Just... *chefs kiss*.
2. Claire. Similar reasons to Jill. She has clear motivations and a good arc. Her campagin is my favourite part of RE2make and I think it's shamefully underrated. I found her realtionship with Sherry a lot more significant than Leons and honestly, her A playthrough was just... better? That's perisnal opinion though. I wish they'd let this woman buy a new outfit. She's worn the same jacket since '98. Recycling queen I guess, lmfao. I don't think people really give her enough attention or credit. She's incredibly kind and patient but could also beat me to a pulp. Phenomenal.
3. Chris. Okay, a few iffy portrayals but he's overall a very solid character. I like him so much because he's a "terrifying but actually very soft and huggable" trope in my mind, lmao. I can't shake the Awkward Father vibe, no matter how many 400lbs machine guns he plays around with. I just think he's very tired and wants to watch a football game with friends. Give him a break.
4. Ethan Winters. It's fucking Ethan Winters. Ethan and Rose were excellent new additions to the cast. I adored them. They were something different, refreshing, realistic (minus the lego man hands... dude's made of mold tho so...) and just very likeable. Dude just chills in the background at functions wanting to go home.
5. Leon. Leon's equally one of the most interesting but frustrating protagonists. I think his OG progression is a complete mess. There's some parts I love, some parts I think make zero sense. I always got the sense that they wanted to be ambitious with Leon, but didn't know what the audience would and wouldn't accept. Does this man have a personality? Yes, we'll hint at one, but we absolutely must adhere to naughts cringe hero stereotype just incase. He often leaves me perplexed, but I enjoy him. He's fun to nitpick and study (and make fun of!!!) and he arguably has one of the most interesting long-term stories. I think remakes are going harder to bring this to light. At it's core, the Leon story is about his relationship with corruption, the government and how he deals with it and who to trust. It could be... SOMETHING. I think we're getting there. The changes in remakes are making it more and more possible. They're taking risks and it greatly benefits him as a character overall. He makes sense. He's understandable.
(PS a lot of this sounds like nonsensical jumbled ass, I'm so sorry lmao. I did not sleep and I need pain meds today bc hashtag chronic pain. If this message is total dumbassery jibberish you have my deepest apologies!)
Ahhh, hi! I absolutely love a good old encyclopedia ask, don't you worry. (And you're probably gonna get a long ass answer too, lmao).
REmake Jill is my favourite Jill. Her kick ass determination and personality are just so good. She was my first ever example of a strong female character as a kid, and she's always been my absolute fave. Totally agree with you that DI sold her to me even more. She desperately needs a new campaign in a mainline game ASAP, I've missed her too damn much.
I feel like Claire has had most hate in the franchise (in my personal experience, at least), and honestly, I don't get the whole "Claire is so annoying" crap I've seen people say in the past. She has good motivation. A college student going to search for her S.T.A.R.S member brother when she doesn't hear from him, only to survive a hellish night amidst a viral outbreak and cure a child? So badass.
Chris is 100% awkward dad vibes despite his badassery and boulder punching skills, no doubt about it. He's more sensitive than people understand him to be. (Which literally makes no sense, considering how broken he is whenever someone he cares about doesn't make it, lol). Let this man live, put his feet up and relax.
Ethan, my guy. I fucking love him so much. I remember how so many people hated him, back when RE7 first came out. "Oh, but he's just some random guy who is looking for his missing wife. How boring." Uh, isn't that what makes him so much more interesting? He's not an agent, or a S.T.A.R.S member, or whatever like the others are. He's a man willing to go above and beyond to save someone he loves. He gets put through so much shit and still selflessly sacrifices himself. What a guy.
Leon is a hot mess (affectionately). Capcom wanted to do things with OG Leon, and they just didn't know how to go about it. He's definitely a fun one to pick apart and analyse. You're right, though. I definitely think they could really polish what kind of character they want him to be with future installments since they've already gotten him to a pretty decent place already. I've always loved him, but he sure has been a roller coaster ride, hahaha.
Honestly, I always love getting long asks like this, especially from mutuals I wanna talk more to. It's just a shame I'm such a socially awkward coward and can't initiate conversation myself. 😂 I had a lot of fun answering this, so thank you, and I really hope you can rest up soon!

17. YOU AND HER? HER AND YOU?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
DAWN GREETED US WITH THE SUN BEAMING AND THE ORANGE SKY. I still couldn't believe how beautiful the dawn was. How it breaks from the night. The red eyes managed to feed somewhere but under the condition that it would be only bad people that they could feed on. The only thing odd about the counting days to the confrontation was that Ethan had been gone more often than usual. When I asked my family or other vampires where he was, they would reply with "I don't know" or "he's out hunting".
Yeah, sure he was "hunting".
I sauntered through the woods with the sun shining through the trees. I looked at my pale hand and saw a little glimmer on them. They were like little crystals embedded in my hand. Maybe comparing it to a disco ball was an overstatement. It seemed like arriving home late from a party with body glitter still on. I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked on me.
I went under the tree's shade and the clouds slowly began to cover the sun. Once it disappeared, I walked away from the tree and onto the leaves and dirt. The birds chirped in the forest and the animals made their noises.
Then, I heard laughing. Yet I knew those waves of laughter. I scanned through the woods and I saw Seth and Ayla walking up the path. After looking up to check if the sun was still gone, I ran to them.
"Hey, guys," I said and they smiled at me.
"Hi, Violet," Ayla greeted me first.
"We were just coming over to see you," Seth added.
I looked at them, shocked. "Really?"
Seth nodded. "I was planning to ask Edward to get you."
"Well, it's a good thing I'm out here," I chuckled and placed my hands in my pockets. "So, what are you want to talk about?"
Seth turned his head to Ayla.
"Well," she began. "I asked Charlie and Sue about it and they said it's a great idea."
"What is?"
"As you know, Christmas is approaching—," Ayla said.
"What?!" I gasped, making them look at me with wide eyes.
"They don't celebrate it?" Seth asked.
"I-I mean, I'm sure they do," I stuttered. “I didn't realize how fast it is. How fast time flies, huh?"
"Yeah, it sure does," Ayla beamed. "Anyway, I was thinking that... maybe you come to Charlie's house for Christmas?"
My gold eyes enlarged at her request. "W-wow," was all I could say.
"And your new family can come along too if they're not too busy," Ayla added.
"S-Sure," I managed to reply. "I'll come. I'll ask them."
"And don't worry," she continued. "Bella, Edward, Jacob, and Renesmee will be there."
That didn't surprise me; I just smiled back at her.
"Also, Leah is going to bring her imprintee with her," Seth said happily.
"Excuse me, what?" I asked, bewildered.
"Yeah," he nodded rapidly. "Leah has imprinted on a guy."
Leah has imprinted on a guy? I couldn't believe it. I was happy for her.
"I mean, it's the best thing to have ever happened to her. She was heartbroken when Sam imprinted on cousin Emily. But now, she can move on from him."
"Well," I struggled to search for words. "That's gr—!"
Then, I thought about Jacob and Renesmee and my face cringed. "Wait, he isn't—?"
"No, no," Seth was quick to answer. "Definitely not a child, unlike Quil's imprintee."
I glared at him. "What do you mean?"
"Her name is Claire Young; she's Emily's niece."
"Okay?" I sounded unsure. "And?"
"She's two," he sighed.
I froze. Quil's imprintee was a literal child!? And not like Renesmee when she could grow up fast. She was a human child! And then, I gagged.
"To be honest," Seth said. "We never thought it could happen."
"It shouldn't!" I half-shouted and shook my head. "She's a kid, so—?"
"From that point forward, Quil acts like an older brother and a close friend to Claire."
"And what will happen when she grows up, huh? He'll be an old man!"
"Not exactly," Seth answered.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"We're what consider as 'Quasi-immortal'," he air quoted the last word. "In other words, the more we phase, the less we age."
"Oh, yeah, that makes everything better," I sarcastically said and then looked at Ayla, trying to be calm, and rubbed my nose. "Sorry, anyway, Leah has imprinted?"
"Yeah, and he's very mature," Ayla said and then whispered. "Perhaps more mature than Sam." Then, she giggled.
"And older," Seth added as well.
"Mature and older?" I remarked with a slight nod. "How old?"
"Well, he's sixty—."
"Oh, hell no!" I screamed and shook my head, stumbling back. "No! No! No! No! First, the children! Now, the elderly!"
"You didn't let him finish," Ayla laughed. "Calm down! He's sixty but he looks like he's in his late twenties."
I put on a puzzled look. A sixty-year-old man who looks like a man in his late twenties? I put my hands on my hips.
"Okay, that's sorta give me some relief," I said. "You're talking as if he's a vampire."
"He is," Seth answered.
"What?" I said, my mouth dropped open and my eyes widened. "I thought she hates vampires. She called me a leech, remember?"
"I know. I was shocked when she told me that," he admitted. "But it sounds awesome; she also told me not to tell the pack about it."
"Let me guess," I sighed. "They still don't like vampires."
"Not just that, she's the first female shapeshifter to do that! No one has ever done that. Maybe since Renesmee's birth and Jacob's imprinting on her, it somehow breaks this... invisible wall between the two sides."
"Invisible wall?" I said. "Are you serious?"
"It's just a theory," Seth replied.
"So, who is he?" I questioned. "We don't know everything about him."
"Actually, we do," Ayla said, a little smirk growing on her face.
"Really? Who?"
Then, Seth leaned his head to the side and smiled. He rose his hand and waved it. "Hey, Leah. Hey, Ethan. We were just talking about you guys."
My face froze in a shocked expression as Seth walked past me. I slowly turned my head to Ayla, who gave me a wide smile.
"Ethan?!" I whispered, bewildered at the revelation; Ayla nodded. I inhaled deeply and shouted, "ETHAN?!"
"Hi, Violet," I heard Ethan's voice behind me.
I rotated my body and saw Ethan and Leah, holding each other's hands. He grinned widely and Leah... Something was odd about her, but not in a bad way. Instead of the stern bitter look, I was used to, there was warmth on her face. Her mouth was curved upwards and her brown eyes were a little warm instead of the coldest stare she gave to people. I blinked, thinking it was just my imagination but they were still there.
"Hey, it's nice seeing all of you here," Leah said.
I turned my head to Ayla, my eyes still open. "Mature and older?" I whispered.
"Yeah," Ayla quietly replied.
I looked briefly at them and back to her. "One of those things is correct."
All she could do was giggle. I couldn't wrap my head around it. Ethan and Leah? Leah and Ethan? A shapeshifter and a vampire? I stared at them as I folded my arms.
"So, you and her?" I spoke, my hands gesturing to them. "Her and you?"
"Yep," Ethan replied.
"So, when you said you were 'hunting', you were actually with her?"
"Yeah, he was," Leah answered, a smirk on her face and her arm resting on his shoulder; I rubbed my ear with my right hand.
I rested my head on my hands. "Does our family know?"
"Not exactly," Ethan said. "I mean, the only ones that know are Uncle Jo and Aunt Ro, but—."
"Hold up!" I yelled, quickly raising my head. "They knew?!"
"Yeah. Uncle Jo read my mind after I told him I was hunting, and then Maggie said I was lying." He cringed. "Then, Aunt Ro grabbed my hand and saw my memories of me with Leah."
"And?"
"I told them to keep it a secret."
"Why?"
"You remember my mum telling me about how we shouldn't interact with wolves?"
Then, this conversation came to my mind.
"So, who was being attacked?" Ethan enquired.
"Seth Clearwater."
"Oh, yeah, I know him. He's an alright kid."
"Ethan!" His mother yelled at him. "We're not supposed to be talking to wolves."
"Only Children of the Moon," defended Ethan. "Not shapeshifters. There's a difference."
"And it didn't say we can't interact with shapeshifters," Simon joined in.
"Children of the Moon, shapeshifters," Alana moaned. "They're all the same to me."
I cringed. "Yeah," I sighed my answer. "Right before Dad flipped the table."
"Hm-hm," Ethan nodded.
I looked over at Leah. "And when did you imprint on him?"
"When I looked at him for the first time," Leah admitted. "While you were beating Jacob up."
Another memory came to me.
I looked over to Seth and he glanced back at me with his eyes seeming to tell me that it was okay and he wasn't doing it creepily. Then, I looked at Leah but she wasn't looking at me. I followed her gaze and saw that she was looking at my family. She probably hated that more vampires were coming to stay. She did call me a leech at the reception after all.
"You weren't just looking at my family," I said. "You were looking at Ethan. But I don't..." I shook my head and my back curved. "Y-You hate vampires."
"I did," she admitted, nodding her head. "We were told stories about them. How evil they can be. How they don't care about human lives. And I'll admit, I did want Renesmee to be—."
"Don't—!" I yelled.
Destroyed. That was what she was going to say. Leah bit her lip.
"But it literally all changed when I looked at Ethan," she continued. "And... it felt like time has stopped. Non-existent, even. Then, everything just shifts, and then he appears."
Leah looked at Ethan, her russet face glowed. "I never thought it would happen to me."
Silence filled the forest. My body felt like it became smaller. I folded my arms and my golden eyes glanced at the floor. I didn't know what to feel. I was happy but at the same time sad. Excited yet angry.
"I've got to go... get something," I sighed, turning around and running.
I couldn't recall if one of them asked me before I left.

The set up: I wrote a fic where Chris proposes to Mia... like 3 hours after Ethan dies because in his mind "This gives me an excuse to protect Mia and Rose without anyone asking any questions as we know people are after them." So far, so good! EXCEPT! Ethan had a family. A family that were already a bit frustrated at how Ethan had to suddenly cut them off in weird ways. And Erica had already lost someone to weird government stuff before. When she was about 9, her best friend's family moved to Raccoon City and then suddenly died when it exploded. Erica never got answers so growing up, she spent her time trying to figure out what exactly happened. And the name "Chris Redfield" popped up quite a bit... So she doesn't trust the BSAA, she never trusted Chris and Jill when they showed up to support Mia during Ethan's (Very delayed) funeral. (Cover story was Ethan fell down a chasm while hiking and they never found the body. Erica wonders if Mia murdered him) and because of all this she becomes a reporter. (Elliot is an accountant and a foodie. Never figured out what Ezra did) She gets sent to Paris to do a bunch of journalism at once, including interviewing Claire Redfield. This is also when Mia and Chris' "Honeymoon" arrive in Paris. She obviously never told them, and they never told HER they got married - let alone that it was fake. This drives Mia into having.... a really bad night while Claire tries to smooth things over by taking Rose and Erica out for the evening. Dropping Rose off the next day with Claire and seeing that Mia and Chris were... not as lovey dovey in Paris as one would think, she asks Mia for the Truth. And she gets it. All of it. How her brother was no longer human. how he REALLY died. What Chris was doing. What Rose was. And with that Erica joins the little Conspiracy of Chris, Mia, Claire, Jill, and Leon to figure out who the heck wants Rose, what the BSAA are doing, and why. I'm not very good at creating OC's. I look more for gaps in the story or abilities that they need to fill, and I honestly really like Erica. She's suspicious but not paranoid. She's tough but she listens to things. She plans ahead as much as she can but she goes with the flow too. She got a pet lizard the holiday after Brittany died because her family didn't know what to do and decided presents was SOMETHING and she named the lizard Brittany. She uses her jouranlism skills to help them in the end. (the fic is "As Long As You Should Have Lived" and I wish I had an excuse to go back to the world since I've finished it. But it ends nicely with no need. I do feel like Erica and her family are still kicking around in RE unless Capcom declares Ethan an only child Orphan. While the relationship between Chris, Mia,duty, grief, and guilt is the core of the fic, Erica is her own angle on those themes too. I love her. She also looks like Ethan's female twin for the most part too. Or a 30 year old Rose)
WHAT this sounds so interesting!! I really like this because I think there is a significant lack of information about what on earth happened between RE8 and the SoR DLC (I don't buy the half-assed "explanations" they give in game at all.) Erica sounds so cool, I love her. I am partial to OC's who are reporters (Kris is a journalist in Chrysalis) so I already love her. What kind of lizard is Brittany?? I think creating OC's is genuinely quite hard when working with existing material and it doesn't get appreciated enough. Like, sure, you can just make any guy and shove them into the story, and honestly sometimes that is very fun and turns out well, but having them actually feel like they fit and belong is sometimes a monumental task. I think looking for gaps and someone to fill them is a great strategy! And frankly even if Capcom canonized Ethan being an only child, I would ignore it lol. They are so, so bad at consistency in their own lore and it's borderline comical.

After the Miami kiss, Claire is hanging out with the gang and Ethan is (not so discreetly) staring at her, and a song starts playing that makes Ethan feel all kinds of emotions towards her, what is that song?
Hi!
*voice from the tv commercial* So you’re catching feelings for your coworker?
I know that it’s entirely his morals that screwed them over in Miami (that and him being a stubborn “I dOn’t HaVe a CrUsH oN hEr” teenager) but what I can’t deny is that it’s hard on him too. Poor E, would want to be anywhere else other than the spot he’s in at that moment to save himself from the feelings he has for C, both literally (because he believes if he puts distance, it will make him not think about the Miami Incident™️) and figuratively (because if he didn’t stop himself, he would be in a very different place regarding the relationship he has with her in that moment - and she most likely would be there with him)
So this song comes on. It’s not exactly “relationship touchy feely makes you think about love” but it’s special enough to make Ethan think. What’s making matters worse for him is that it just happens to be C’s favorite band- (OneRepublic is my favorite band and since it’s always been “What Perrie likes, Claire most likely likes too”, it’s no surprise that C likes them too. And for a good reason, they SLAY.)
[yes I’m going to brag here because while I was gone, I went to see OneRepublic in concert and I fought and waited my way to the FRONT ROW IN THE PIT BABY, I HIGH FIVED RYAN LIKE FOUR TIMES, best concert ever. And our concert was live streamed so I have a high quality recording of the whole show to look back on - I’m even shown in some moments 😌]
- and Ethan knows it. They talked about it on the way to Miami when she popped the headphones in to listen to some music - on his request, she gave him one and they listened together. This song was one of the ones they listened to, so Ethan knows it. Which hits even harder.
When he looks over, he sees her swaying with Sienna in their booth, singing along with all her friends (all of them slaying the song to a different degree). C is the only one that’s singing quietly and softly, which is only because she’s deep in thoughts. As Ethan looks at her, she turns her head towards him and their eyes meet. Before he can look away, she mouths along a line of the song, then winks at him and turns back to her friends.
How the hell do these always turn into story times, I don’t know. But there we are. He’s deep in his feelings even though he’s doing everything he can to prove that he isn’t (he’s trying to convince Naveen because his mentor sees right through his bullshit. And himself, most definitely himself, that he isn’t falling for the pretty intern that calls him out on the said bullshit). And Claire is just there, kinda struggling to make sense of it all because the whole situation is complicated.
And then they went to the opera and he kissed her face off
Man, I missed OH. Maybe it’s time for a replay.

i love that new bubble tea fic how did u know i was craving some - what do you think leon's and rebecca's bubble tea order would be?
-🍫
⦑ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐛𝐚 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 ⦒ [ part one ]
read part two here (ethan winters, jill valentine, jack krauser, claire redfield) read the 'boba tea date' fic here (leon kennedy x gn! reader) characters: leon kennedy, rebecca chambers, chris redfield, ashley graham, carlos oliveira & ada wong a/n: funny you asked, because i had a convo ab this with my friend hahha! also added some other characters too ;) what other characters should i do? content: SFW
Tumblr media
LEON KENNEDY
Ever since that date, he sneaks off when you're not around to try all the flavours.
He would be a sweet tooth (despite how passionately he will deny this), and orders the limited edition seasaonal tea with extra foam on top! Always 100% ice and sugar.
He's a closet sweet-tooth (especially RE2 Leon, he looks like he pretends to like coffee, inspired by this)
When you find an empty cup in the bin, he will act nonchalant and say "Oh I happen to pass by for work".
But you already know he's lying when you found a membership card in the frontest pocket of his wallet - probably eligible for a few free drinks at this point.
Tumblr media
REBECCA CHAMBERS
Caramel milk tea with pudding. Extra sugar and standard ice.
She likes sugar, and she's not afraid to admit it!
Always get the large size since she works long hours in the lab, so she sips away her drink throughout her shift.
Probably hyped up the shop to all her colleagues already, hoping to find a companion to join her.
Very close with the shop manager since she goes there daily - will chat and banter with them
Tumblr media
CHRIS REDFIELD
He would just get plain black tea, no sugar and less ice.
To keep up with his physique and body fat percentage low, he doesn't usually drink unless you drag him there.
Raves on about the antioxidants in black tea and how it's good for you (such a health nerd)
Starts complaining 'it's too sweet' everytime he sips on any of your drinks - apparently even a hint of sugar is too much for this old man sometimes.
Tumblr media
ASHLEY GRAHAM
Matcha with fresh milk, extra sugar, cream on top, and mini pearls!
I think she will start drinking mango fruit tea/fruity with popping pearls but eventually branches out to matcha.
She probably thought of doing a bottomless bubble tea stand for her dream wedding ceremony.
I think she would get along with Rebecca with their mutual love for bubble tea! I think they'll be such good friends if not their age differences!
Tumblr media
CARLOS OLIVEIRA
Normally, Carlos orders a very normal coconut green tea with no modifications.
Until one day he decides to be really cheeky and order it with every topping the shop has to offer
Rainbow jelly, pearls, pudding, grass jelly, etc. (yes, even red beans)
So many toppings that only half of the cup is liquid and the other half is a concoction of chaos
Bobarista is terrified, but Carlos is grinning widely
Still inhales the whole drink in less than an hour anyway
Tumblr media
ADA WONG
She will go for a warm brewed tea (thinking between oolong or earl grey), no toppings or sugar.
Don't think she enjoys iced drinks in general, rather have warm/hot drinks or just plain water.
Something in the bubble tea gives her acne breakouts so she avoids it. Plus her job is so busy that it doesn't allow her such luxuries.
Might indulge in extra sugar if she wants a treat, but suffers the consequences later.

the resident evil ship?
Ooo ok! I dont ship often but RE is one of the few fandoms I have ships for. I'll go with Jill and Carlos, Claire and Leon, and Ethan and Mia
·When I started shipping them: After I played RE3R! I thought their dynamic was cool, especially Carlos doing his absolute best to protect Jill in the hospital (that part of the game was the most stressful sjdjf). For Claire and Leon; at the end of RE2R. That scene where theyre basically recovering from the fight and taking Sherry by the hands and leading her someplace safe was so heartwarming and I love them all very much. For Ethan and Mia, when I finished RE7
·My thoughts: I know RE doesn't really have the best writing when it comes to relationships, but I like how like, what a great team Jill and Carlos when working together! For Claire and Leon; yknow that one meme thats like "best friends secretly think of each other as sidekick", thats them. Leon and Claire should have been able to adopt Sherry. For Ethan and Mia, I know Mia is a bit. Odd. But Ethan loves her SO much. Like, hes absolutely willing to go through hell and back TWICE for her, even to the point where hes literally falling apart. I don't like Mia a ton because shes kind of a flat character, but Ethan is like. Husband of the year
·What makes me happy about them: For all of them, I'm not sure how I'd narrow it down except that I like it when characters are so devoted to each others safety, even though thats a trope used all the time. Like. I'm not even sure HONESTLY how id go through something so scary and hellish as like, the Bakers house in RE7, and all for someone I love. Same with the others; they encourage me to go the distance no matter how scary for the ones I love, and thats pretty cool imo.
· What makes me sad about them: oh boy oh boy alright. 1. Carlos was in RE3 (a game that came ouT IN THE 90s) and never used ever again. Jill haven't been in a game since Revelations 1 I think 2. Claire and Leon didnt get together and adopt Sherry and Sherry grew up raised by the Government pretty much. Infinite Darkness really belittled Claire's character next to Leon sjsjdkf 3. Uh. *Spoilers for RE8* WHOOP Ethan kicked the bucket without even saying goodbye to the wife he loved so much
·Things done in fanfic that annoy me: I can just think of one, and its people writing Ethan like. Getting together with one of the Lord's when uh. They all pretty much dismembered his kid. Pretty awkward. Also there seems to be a disturbing amount if hate towards Mia like. To the point where people love to kill her off in fanfic
·Things I look for in fanfic: I don't read fanfic much but when I do, I usually like reading about them all going on adventures or missions together
·Who Id be comfortable with them ending up with, if not with each other: Can't think of any really. I personally headcanon Claire as ace but that might be me self projecting lmao
·My happily ever after for them: Good question. For Carlos and Jill; I can't imagine them wanting to settle down that much. I would LOVE to see another game where they work together behind the scenes. Please RE9. Please. For Leon and Claire; honestly I cant think of much. They both need therapy and a vacation. For Ethan and Mia; they should have been able to live somewhere quiet and away from all the horrible things theyve seen and raised Rose. Simple, but thats what they deserve

First Sense: Hearing || Ethan Winters ||
A/n: He’s so effin adorable, I love this man, also I’d like to note I am ignoring / changing parts of  Resident Evil Village though it will still contain slight spoilers.
Pairings:
Leon x Claire {{ Mentioned }}
Ethan x Female!Reader
Slight / hinted: Chris Redfield x Mia
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ethan Winters did not think much of you when he’d had first met you. To him you were another one of those agents, the one that Chris Redfield was like.
Though you insisted you weren’t.
“I’m a doctor actually. It’s thanks to me that you’re even alive.”
That took him off guard, what did that even mean?
“I was the one that treated the molded infected in you..so you’re welcome.”
Maybe he was a little harsh on you, being stuck in that facility. People asking him question’s was getting to him. Not to mention it felt like he and Mia were drifting a part and thanks to the two barley speaking to one another he found himself wandering down to your office. He couldn’t explain why but your voice soothed his nerves.
Gentle, never judging him and over the time in the facility he found out more about you. You’d lost your family due to a incident that happened in Raccoon City where you then met a man name Leon Kennedy and Chris’s younger sister Claire. He found out that you and Leon where still good friends and Claire was your best friend, he smiled at the picture you’d shown him. You were holding a baby.
“Claire’s son, so adorable. They made me their godmother”
He didn’t like how your voice dipped, you sounded sad. Did you want to be a mother?
He never meant for the question to slip past his lips and you’d looked up at him in surprise.
“People like me don’t get families Ethan...how can I?”
It hurt knowing that but it was the truth, Leon and Claire. They only got out thanks to Chris.
“Enough of this talk, you should get some rest Ethan. It won’t be long until you're able to leave.”
Leave? he didn’t want to leave....how could he? He didn’t want to leave you- Then it hit him and for a split second he could hear his heart beating loudly in his ears.
He didn’t love you? Did he?
Slipping out of your office he quickly made his way towards the room they had him staying in, nearly colliding into another body.
“Ethan?”
“Mia?”
Mia sighed as she looked over her husband, the man looked distraught though for a moment she noticed something change in his eye, something she hasn’t seen in a long time.
“Ethan..I think we need to talk.”
“I.”
The man didn’t put up a fight when the woman gently grasped his hand, he stayed quite when the two were in his room.
“So.....did you tell her yet?”
“I...tell who what?”
Ethan adverted his gaze, he wasn’t sure that he was able to look her in the eye.
“Y/n...did you tell her how you feel?”
“How did you?”
“Know? Ethan we’re married...and I haven’t seen that look on your face in a long time and your laugh...it’s not the same when you are with me...I’m not mad Ethan. After everything that had happened between us...what happened with the Bakers...you deserve some happiness in your life.”
“Come on Mia...how...how can I just tell her...tell y/n how I feel. What if she rejects me.”
Mia let out a laugh shaking her head for a moment as she placed her hand over his. “Ethan...she feel’s the same way...trust me...you can hear it in her voice... after all the hell you went through I didn’t think that confessing your feelings would be tough.” she teased.
Ethan shifted his body then stood up, unsure of what to do. “I...Mia...thank you.”
Shaking her head, Mia stood pulling the man in for a hug then placed a kiss against his cheek. “Be happy Ethan, you deserve it.”
Watching him leave, Mia felt a small twinge of pain in her heart knowing what was to come but she knew it would fade. Slipping out of the room she knew she’d had to figure out how to get some divorce papers, maybe Chris could help.
Feeling her cheeks burn for a moment she decided to ask the man herself, hoping her crush wouldn’t be to noticeable, she hoped he would know what to do though she stopped hearing Ethan’s voice.
“Y/n...I..I need to tell you something?”
“What is it Ethan.” You were concerned for him, cute..you two would make a nice family.
“I...think I love you...and you don’t.”
A soft laugh cut Ethan’s voice off and for a moment Mia wondered if she was wrong about your feelings.
“Is that right? well I think I love you too Ethan.”
A small kiss then a hug, she wanted to leave you two alone. For Ethan to explain everything though she felt good. Stepping away from the door the young woman clasped a hand behind her back walking off, it wasn’t until a deep voice stopped her in her tracks.
“Mia...Ethan said you needed to talk to me?”
Turning around she spotted Chris standing in the halls, he had a nervous smile on his face. A smile soon formed on hers as she walked over to him, titling her head to the side she gave him a nod.
“I did, do you mind if we walk and talk?”

In between their worlds (Lethan)
Ethan was kind. He was well-liked and you could always talk to him. He had that kind of personality that made it easy for him to be instantly loved. Blond hair, soft eyes, a smooth face. He was friendly but firm, remaining polite when necessary and baring his teeth when the situation called for it. Ethan tried to make everyone feel like they belonged, he made small talk without it feeling awkward, he was friendly and his smile and hearty laugh could fill ballrooms.
Leon was like a herding dog, Claire had once said. When the agent had raised an eyebrow in response, she explained that he would protect his friends at all costs, but would bite anyone who wasn't part of his circle of trust. Leon had taken a sip of his coffee and grumbled about the statement when Claire had laughed and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. Leon had winced and had tried to cover it up with another sip of his drink. Leon was reserved, bitter about everything he’s been through, awkward at small talk, and reluctant to leave the circle of people he knew; he thought at Claire's words. Maybe she was right.
Apart from all this, Leon was also freezing, he walked quickly down the street, his thin leather jacket thrown around his slim shoulders in order to protect himself from the relentless rain. He really should have taken his motorcycle instead of walking to the store, and now he was regretting his earlier decision as he felt the paper bags in his hand disintegrate due to the weather.
With an umbrella over his head, Ethan looked at the man in the leather jacket who rushed past him. Maybe the blond man looked a little too long at the wet jeans that hugged the other man's hips just right, or at the long, dirty blond hair that nestled into a handsome face with stubbles, but all Ethan could think of as the man with the paper bags walked past him was to say, "Hi!"
The man in the leather jacket looked at Ethan and stopped for a second, nodded briefly, and then continued on his way, glancing over his shoulder once more before hurrying home.
By the next morning, Ethan had already forgotten about his encounter with the man in the leather jacket. He was sitting in his favorite coffee shop, sipping hot chocolate and eating a piece of cake when the bell rang, signaling that someone had entered the building. The blond man's gaze drifted to the person who opened the door, and he smiled as he ate another piece of his cake.
"Well, I hope this leather jacket is warmer than the one you wore yesterday?" Leon looked at Ethan, who was sitting at the table, and furrowed his brows, wondering where he knew that face from before it came back to him and he awkwardly grabbed the hem of his jacket. "Yeah, yeah, it is." Leon stepped up to the counter and ordered a loaf of bread and some bagels, taking the bag with the food and paying at the register while the blond man's eyes were fixed on him.
Ethan's thoughts were spinning, he stared at his food and then back at Leon, who looked like he was about to leave the coffee shop. Ethan had to talk to him, who knew if fate would be kind to him once more, maybe he would not be able to see the man in the leather jacket a third time if he didn't take his chances now. Ethan heard his own heartbeat so loud in his ears that he could barely make out his own voice as he asked, "Are you in a hurry?"
Leon's hands tightened on the freshly bought baked goods and the words he wanted to say got stuck in his throat, so he just shook his head and looked into Ethan's kind eyes, which looked back at him sheepishly. "Would you mind if I bought you a piece of cake and a coffee then? The cake I have is great, would you like to try it?"
For a moment Leon wanted to say that he could pay for his own food, he wanted to refuse the chair that Ethan had pulled out right next to him and sit across from Ethan instead, he wanted to say that he would order his own cake, but then he thought of Claire and accepted the offer, sitting down in the chair next to Ethan and saying that he would love to try the same cake as the other man.
"I'm Ethan," the blond man said, flashing a smile, and his smile filled Leon's heart with warmth as Leon repeated the man's name softly, a whisper only he could hear.
"I'm Leon." - "It's nice to meet you, Leon. I mean, officially, now that I finally know your name and all." The blond man laughed and his face lit up; Leon had never believed that an entire room could be filled with the presence of a single person, but here he was: proven wrong.
And five years later, when Ethan's head rested on Leon's chest and Leon kissed the top of his husband's head, he had to smile.
It was as if they both came from completely different galaxies and yet had found each other in between their worlds.
