HOWDY EVERYONE- so excited to FINALLY be able to show off my piece for this year's Bumbleby Big Bang!

Unfortunately no accompanying story as of yet- but I really hope you guys get to read it someday! The premise involves Yang cursed to be trapped inside a sword, which was an idea I KNEW I had to make move.

Details and development stuff under the cut!

Lots of fun collaboration with the author, Celeste! We worked together to find the look-of-picture, Blake's outfit, how the Grimm look, the style of the sword, the whole shabang! I'm really happy with how it all turned out!

When I first saw all the prompts, even before claims opened, I got to work on a handful of exploration pieces based on some of the summaries, to decide which of the stories I was interested in would be the best fit. Here's the initial idea for this one I put together over a lunch break:

After showing Celeste, we got to work finding the look we wanted! Went back and forth a bit and found this great look for Blake! Also shoutout to Pinterest boards for visdev inspiration I love you Pinterest boards.

Just about everything stayed to final anim, with the simplification of getting rid of that purple cloth hanging from her belt, (since I already had the rope ends to think about working with), and the light purple strap across the chest, since leaving it out would simplify the linework on her chest.

The sword also went through a bit of change! Celeste had the idea of Yang making the sword catch on fire, which I LOVED. I went with a split design so we can see the fire more clearly start from the hilt and grow to cover the whole blade.

And from there we brainstormed animation ideas! I went all over Youtube for video reference of sword work (that would be complex enough to be interesting, but short enough to be manageable). I found something we liked from Motion Actor Inc., a channel I've used LOTS for both personal and professional work (I work in 3D Animation, for those who don't know). I edited this together, to see the action from multiple places at once, which gave me the idea for that camera move that's in the final anim!

Now for the fun part! Make that badboy MOVE. For the cam turn, the first frame she's in the air I'm referencing the top left video, and the frame she lands I'm referencing the bottom left one. While she's airborne I'm just inbetweening that! No reference for the Grimm, just wanted it responding to her attacks, but I end up tweaking the roughs later on to make the block feel stronger.

Then from there we had to actually figure out Grimm designs! Nimona had just released, and Celeste and I loved it, so she asked if I could take some inspiration from Nimona's shadow form! GLADLY. Here's what I came up with!

I was going between how the movies and comic designed Nimona, really loving the almost liquid shadow of the movie, but also how the comics had this broken up/held together rougher form. Celeste liked the second to last one the best! The original plan was to have it leave a wispy shadow trail like the concept art, but to simplify the animation we left it solid instead!

Next up is tiedown! Basically just getting the roughs more on-model, so the lineart comes out nice and clean. I've also transferred the new Grimm design to the base from earlier, and fire's also outlined orange so it reads clearer. (SPOILER- if you look REAL close here, you can see Yang visible in the fire! I liked the idea of Blake's slash also doubling as Yang throwing a punch. The idea is in the concept art earlier but now it's working with the action.)

Next step- final look of picture!! I asked Celeste for sources of inspiration to draw from when thinking about environment design, and we got Nimona, She-Ra, and Owl House! Used each of those as springboards for shading style, colour palettes, and how the fire would look!

From there, we kept the straight trees/bush/lake/foreground greenery from the first one, the blues from the second, and the fire from the third!

Once I had this frame, it was a matter of working backwards and making the background work pre-camera turn (which was ABSOLUTELY the most challenging part of this process). Learned a lot doing this! Procreate isn't quite equipped to make something like this efficient, but I'm pleased to say that Dreams would make something like this easier in the future (keyframing objects instead of hand-drawing/spacing duplicates by hand, for example).

From then on it was just colouring the lineart, adding shading, and finishing up the background! Beginning-to-end this whole process was beginning of July to end of October!

I had an absolute BLAST putting all this together. Here's to next year where I find a way to do something even more ridiculously complicated!! It's fun!!!

so a few select people know that i've been working on these bad boys for a few weeks now. this collection started because @mortimerlatrice had the audacity to try and tell me that fem!kinn wouldn't wear skirts and dresses and i pretty much broke my tablet pen in the rush to prove her wrong. also i felt like redesigning my fem!kinn and fem!porsche ideas. beneath the cut are my thoughts on these outfits plus the fashion collections they're inspired by/referencing.

fem!kinn businesswear looks

fem!kinn i feel like is the type of person who weaponises her gender expression. every part of how she presents herself is a carefully cultivated power play. she smokes cigars and drinks scotch and can talk at length about stocks and cryptocurrency, but she wears high heels even though she had to teach herself how to run in them, has long hair even though styling it is a nightmare, and is never seen without make-up, because every part of her must straddle a line of being masculine enough to be respected without being dismissed as butch, or a transgressor of gender norms. so: power suits and heels.

most of these are just riffs on the show's suits, so no real reference images, though hilarious @elnotwoods and i managed to parallel brain the exact same corset + suit look bc we are bloggers of TASTE.

fem!kinn occasionwear looks

the product launch -- upon rewatching clips from this episode i realised that the product launch apparently has a roaring 20s theme? which be wildin'. i spent so long looking at pictures of 20s style dresses until i found eliza jane howell who is a tiny british designer who has an entire collection of 20s inspired gowns. the inspo for kinn's dress was the miranda dress from her eveningwear collection.

the diamond auction -- i've drawn fem!kinn in this dress before, and i stand by it. this is a dress from ralph and russo's fall 2015 couture collection, specifically look 12. i first saw this dress months ago when i was looking for clothes for a project i was working on and it's lived in my brain rent free since.

date night i and date night ii -- both of these dresses i saw on pinterest somewhere and forget to save the link bc when i do art i usually have abt 50 billion tabs open. (i make firefox weep each time i open a new one.)

fem!kinn misc looks

okay so the theme for this one was actually "iconic kinn looks" and you know what? the towel was iconic. there i said it.

the sleepwear look -- *cries in detail work* yes all that lace is hand-drawn YES MY WRIST ACHED SO BAD AFTER FINISHING IT, this one is just conjured out of my head, no inspo look

the suspenders -- real ones know which kinn look this one is based off. just google kinn in suspenders or something i guess because we were ROBBED that it wasn't in the show. ROBBED.

the towel -- since drawing it multiple ppl have told me that they think fem!kinn would just wear the towel on her hips, tits out, no shame, and they are all so valid.

family portrait -- when i was drawing this, i got sent a look by siv that i initially discounted because it was a skirt suit and fem!kinn all about those power suits. and then i was looking for thai designers and i saw the same look and i was like, "okay but she'd only wear this in a family portrait," and then i was like hhrrrrnngngn family portrait outfits for all of them, so now it's a category. this is a recoloured version of poem bangkok's fall 2022 rtw collection look 19.

fem!porsche "pre-kinn" looks

okay so my thoughts on fem!porsche are as someone for whom gender is almost an afterthought, whose main friends are all guys, who drinks bear and kicks ass and cuts her own hair whenever it gets too annoying, who buys male toilettries because they're cheaper, who's made a career out of being rich girl's experimental whirl into lesbianism, and who can get them off real easy but isn't so good at getting herself off. she's hooked up with her fair share of guys, and considers herself more of a male-leaning bisexual. like, girls are fun and all, but she tends to have a better time when she hooks up with guys. (kinn's gonna blow that out of the water, hahaha.)

the fighter outfit -- originally this was going to be just a sports bra + jeans, but then i saw a pic of a cropped hoodie and my brain just sort of blanked out and when i was done the art was finished. porsche's abs are very important to me. as are her arms. and her thighs. she's an itty bitty titty committee member tho and i stand by that.

the bartender outfit -- i've drawn this one before, but yes! all the buttons undone! cheapest black shirt and slacks! converse!!! YESS

the casual outfit -- bike shorts, big t, big shirt? yes. fem!porsche sits somewhere between jock and gonna-fix-your-appliances on a fashion basis and i am here for it.

fem-porsche "kinn era" looks

one of the big ideas i had going into this project was the idea that porsche feels divorced from her femininity in a way that she's not altogether satisfied with and that kinn helps her reconnect with it. because, like, let's be real: porsche has no major feminine influences in her life growing up, and she's literally always got bigger concerns. she defo plays up the idea that she's above it all, whilst also completely lost as to how to get to there. kinn is probably both an object of envy and attraction for her.

(also i have in my head that the sauna conversation goes something like: porsche: do you have a boyfriend, then? kinn: i've never once found a man that truly wants a powerful woman. porsche: huh, that's weird. i've had no trouble finding guys who want me to hold the up against a wall.)

anyway it's important to me that kinn makes porsche feel dainty and feminine.

the bodyguard look -- hrrrrngngng waist. that is all.

clubbing with tankhun -- you know how i said somewhere between jock and owns a monkey wrench? meet porsche out clubbing. love it for her.

first public date with kinn -- so the background i had imagined for this outfit was that porsche and kinn are going public, and kinn sends her a box with a dress to wear plus heels, only porsche can literally not stand for more than two seconds in the heels and hates them, so she wears her converse instead. this is almost a direct copy of look 12 from monse's spring 2021 rtw collection.

black tie date with kinn -- obvs this is a dress that kinn picked out for her, so i thought long and hard about what kinn would choose. in the end, i figured kinn would probably want her to look regal. i looked at so many dresses for this one, esp bc there was a secret requirement where i wanted the skirt to be loose enough that kinn could eat her out in it. look, i just think it would be gender if kinn dressed porsche up in this dress and porsche felt all pretty and feminine and then kinn ate her out in the bathroom at the event or something. you know. girl things. this dress is look 6 from valdrin sahiti's spring 2022 bridal collection and i had to download a pdf to get a reference picture, so appreciate my work. also shoutout literally the only time porsche is wearing heels. kinn had to give her like three hours of walking lessons.

fem!porsche minor family head looks

michael kors collection saved my bacon here. i really struggled to figure out what fem!porsche's overall aesthetic would be for her minor family head position. i wanted something distinct from kinn, but didn't think she'd go full androgyny. in the end i settled on a well-tailored suits with a military flare in their cut.

first business look -- this one is based on look 19 from michael kors collection's fall 2022 rtw collection. dem arms.

second business look -- same song, different verse. same collection, but look 7. the thigh-high boots were added by me, though. i wasn't drawing lesbian kinnporsche without putting one of them in thigh-high boots.

visiting mum -- a couple of things. this one is based on this photo i found on pinterest, because i just really liked the neckline. details you might miss: this is arguably porsche's most femme outfit here, but she doesn't have the perfectly styled hair that she has when she's on mafia business, and she's still wearing her ratty beat-up converse. she's feminine, but trying to be authentic. it's a specific kind of messaging she's trying to get across to her mum. she probably agonised for hours over what to wear. kinn definitely really likes her in it.

family portrait -- again, plucked from my own imagination. the original inspiration for this look was look 9 from altuzarra pre-fall 2020 but if you click that link you'll probably be able to tell i went completely off-script. the more i drew it, basically, the more the altuzarra look looked too japanese, which is understandable, because that collection's whole thing was about blending modern and traditional japanese fashion. in the end, i pivoted, and brought it more in line with kinn's look, because i really did want them to have similar vibes. (couples outfits? couples outfits!!)

near misses -- these ones almost ended up involved: altuzarra pre-fall 2020 look 6 for the family portrait; michael kors fall 2020 look 60 also for the family portrait; michael kors fall 2020 look 30 for minor family mafia business; look 17 from alexander mcqueen's 2011 pre-fall collection also for mafia business; this look from pinterest for mafia business that got discounted bc i was going in a different direction; and this dress from rouba.g's spring 2019 rtw collection for the black tie dress which literally only avoided inclusion here because i couldn't make the sheer fabric look right.

anyway the takeaway here is don't get into an argument with me because i will bring receipts. mort learned their lesson, don't worry.

Cruella De Vil x Fem!Seamstress!Reader || Oneshot

Plot: Plot?... uh, I saw a picture on Pinterest of a bat corset (From JanesCorsets on Etsy) and wanted to see my wife in it XD Thats pretty much it. But um. Uh- This'll do;

You sew your boss into her outfit for the party tonight and some unexpected feelings come to life in the pit of your belly. And maybe other places, up higher.

When Cruella notices... she offers you a deal.

Warnings: Reader has a wandering eye and there's a splash of blackmail on Cruella's end.

She looked amazing in the bat corset and skirt- and thankfully, it wasn't made of bat skin.

... it was painted crocodile leather and silk lining. But still, the fact that you managed to talk the fashion hawk of London out of killing a 50 bats for her corset and skirt combo, was an achievement.

And she really did look good in it. As you sewed her into it (Yes, the outfit needed to be sewed around her), you couldn't help but notice that fact. And not in a seamstress kind of way- in a lesbian way. Vaguely you were aware that these thoughts were unprofessional, thoughts like fuck is this woman hot and maybe i should do some last-minute adjustments to the breast plate,.. but also, working for her was unprofessional to start with. The House of De Vil was more like a battle field or Italy with the Borgia Family in charge; filled with betrayal and visciousness. So merely noticing Cruella's tits didn't really seem like that big a sin.

Once you'd managed to sew the back of Cruella's corset closed tightly, so she could not slouch and so it wouldn't come loose, you take your little thread scissors and cut the string free. Then you make sure that all the string is hidden away, and no loose ends hang free... then back up to get a good look at the outfit as a whole.

... good work, if you do say so yourself. (Its not as if she'll tell you so, after all. The cold, wicked bitch that she is- even if she is remarkably appealing all of a sudden)

As you smirk and appreciate your excellent handy work (Why be humble, anyway?? You weren't hired for humble), Cruella becomes impatient. "... Well?? Are you finished?? It looks like the drawing, so I assume you are- "

"-'It looks like the picture'?? Cruella, this is a masterpiece." You snap back, waiving a hand dismissively at her. You were never one to let your work by unappreciated- even by Cruella De Vil. Never. "Take it in!; you got a wall fulla' mirrors here. The dress, and the woman in it, look beautiful."

"Ugh, honestly. You are a pest Y/N." Cruella snaps back, rolling her eyes and scowling with those pretty painted lips of hers. She doesn't, however, threaten your job like she would anyone else for the lip you just gave her. Why?? Well you both know you're the best in your field. You can speak to her any way you want- she'll never risk you getting scooped up by a competitor. All her best outfits have been by you. Have had your name sewed minutely on the inside somewhere.

... For example, this particular outfit, has you name sewed into one of the breast cups- and right now as you look at her you're quite pleased you decided to put it there this time.

Cruella's eyes stray from her form in the mirror to you; catches your gaze on her chest. " -what are you looking at??"

"My work, madam." You shrug, smoothly, brushing it off with a sarcastic tone and lifting your eyes to hers- a challenging look on your face. ... is she gonna say anything?

Her eyes, so like a snake's from beneath a rock, settle on you darkly and challenge you right back. You wish you could say this was out of the ordinary, that you didn't often engage in optical battle with your employer; but you cant. This is a regular occurrence. So you don't have any trouble giving her the eye right back for a few moments.

"... I could've sworn you were staring at my chest, darling, like some common pervert. Am I wrong??" She knows she's not wrong. You know she's not wrong.

... You part your lips to say something, but the hesitation was just enough chance for her to strike. Damnit. With her hands (Claws) on her defined hips, Cruella narrows her eyes. "-because if you were, I'd have to file a harassment complaint- or something else silly, that the board always waffle on about." For a split second, you feel frustrated- but then Cruella simpers. She pouts her lips, and bats her eyelashes. She approaches you in that skin tight black leather bat corset and while you stand there perfectly relaxed, albeit a little honestly surprised, Cruella curls a loose strand of your hair around one of her talons. "... or," Or? "We could come to some sort of agreement? What do you think?"

Narrowing your eyes suspiciously, you squint at her. "... -are you serious??"

"As the plague, darling!" Her eyes go wide, almost innocent. When you don't respond, she sighs huffily with impatience. "Look- I haven't had a woman in months because of work. And I know you haven't had a woman in months- yes, I'm well aware you're a lesbian, dear." Well, its not as if you hide it; there's a sapphic erotica novel sitting on your desk that you've been flipping through on lunch breaks. "And I also know, that neither of us are going to meet anyone outside of work for months still, because I'm about to push the work load even further," That gives you pause, and you almost drop your jaw in outrage. She's what!?- Goddamit, this woman already has you all working 10 hour days in this hellhole- but Cruella just goes on. "So, I suggest that since we work so closely, together, anyway... -and also since you're not terribly offensive to be around... that we... " She shrugs, that pouty simpering 'innocent' look once again on her pretty face. "Make the best of it. Hm?"

With this woman's fingers in your hair, and her heated eyes on you, and her cleavage in front of you- it seems like a dream opportunity.

But you're not a dumb woman.

After an obvious look downwards towards her breasts, you give her pointed, raised-eyebrow-look. "What's the catch?"

She shrugs. She knows you're not a dumb woman. "You forfeit the chance to find a meaningful relationship outside of work, your whole life stays at work, I own you pretty much... but I already do, so that doesn't really change, does it?"

"... you own me??" You ask, deftly. Hmm... you kinda like that.

"What?.. You didn't read your employment contract?" She smiles broadly, and you're not sure if she's joking or not to be quite honest. Because no, you did not. Not fully; You were drinking when you signed it.

To be quite honest, though, you don't particularly care right now. She's right, you haven't had anything to do with another woman's body except to fit her, for too long. Your pussy's practically screaming for a fuck right now- you can barely think.

... would this be much different from your life already? You life is work- how else does one get as good as you are? And you've never been very good at relationships... not platonic ones, and not romantic ones. You're good for fashion, lesbian sex and the occasional scathing insult; thats it.

So this, with Cruella who's no slouch in at least 2 of those things as well (To your knowledge thus far), sounds...

Kind of perfect.

Instead of responding, instead of attempting to outdo her with the words she's so clearly superior with, you take the beautiful woman's face in your hands and draw her in for your first kiss which she responds to with intense satisfaction. Your hands trail down her neck, over the smooth skin of her chest and the tops of her soft breasts, then over the rough leather of her corset while her long, painted talon's scratch gently over your cheeks probably leaving marks behind.

After a few moments of voracious kissing, you both pull back; a satisfied smile on your lips and a gleeful on on hers.

"Excellent~ ... meet me at my home after the event, darling."

"See you then."

how to find your style

i think its a bit easier than you think to find your style. when i was finding mine, i thought it was hard and i made alot of mistakes that costed me alot of money but years of feeling uncomfortable in my outfits. so lets start.

do not follow the trends

there is so many trends now a days and it comes and goes in a few days or weeks. when you dont know your style, its easy to mix up your style and what fashion trend thats in. i think pinterest is good to look for things but to a certain extent. there’s a difference between trends/ fashion you like and what you like on you but it’s easy to mix that up when you’re just figuring it out.

know what you are comfortable in and what flatters you

for example, i feel kind of uncomfortable in v necks, turtle necks and low rise jeans, certain cuts and silhouettes doesnt flatter my figure, i know certain colors make me look paler and some wash me out. it takes a bit of research to know this and sometimes you just know. i never liked v neck even when i was a child but i forced myself to wear it as a teen because people said it flattered my chest and every girl wore it. i cant lie it was cute but it made me insecure and i did research on other alternatives. square neck cuts still flatters my chest but i feel comfortable in it. understand your figure and research what type of silhouettes compliment it. pay attention to certain colors that wash you out and wears you instead of you wearing it.

figure out who you tend to look at for fashion inspiration

for me, my mother is my fashion icon. she was in her 20s when she had me and i saw her dress in 2000s fashion and early 2010s fashion. i wanted to dress just like her and i love that kind of fashion. 2000s fashion have a few subcategories but its the 2000s latina fashion so big hoops, lip gloss, cheetah, tight jeans, low cut tops, you get the look. look for someone you look up to for fashion, it doesnt have to be family obvi or anyone actually, you can look for a specific style or many styles.

i made two pinterest boards, one i got inspo from and i had a few folders.

this helped me when buying my clothes and if i get stuck on what i wanted to wear.

dont box yourself

i have so many styles i love and wear and thats fine. i dont label myself in just one category. i will dress in y2k fashion and the next like a grandma. its okay to have different style sense and its so much fun to play with styles.

start with the basics

i think this is a broad statement to start with basics because maybe my style basics is jeans and tees, while yours is skirts and tube tops. this is why you have to learn what you like and find what basics would go with that. basics are items that can be versatile in many outfits. for example, i started with basic color tops, jeans, basic dresses. these were items that i could make an outfit and be comfortable in and then i invested in more 'staple' pieces to make it my style.

dont worry about others

some styles are a bit more out there than others and if you like a style you know draws attention, dont be afraid to wear. if it makes you comfortable, confident and happy with yourself then dont pay attention to the chitter chatter. its easy to say than do and its a work in progress but live for you not the acceptance of others.

impulsively made designs for the voices! they're kind of more like concepts so they're likely to change if I get better ideas for them. I didn't want to make them too complex and give them pinterest outfits lol (I might do that another time though). notes for each voice under the cut!

Hero: I was kind of inspired when a friend said they'd picture that Hero would have similar armor to Artorias from Dark Souls, partially the reason I started drawing the voices

Contrarian: the first thought was to make him a jester, but I thought that's what people would usually imagine him as. so I gave him something more modern to stand apart from the rest of the voices where they're all medieval-ish. also the only voice with a completely round head and the only one without a lower eyelid. he looks silly too so bonus points for that. Contrarian can open his other eye, the diamond on his face is like a tattoo of sorts lol. The X on his chest is a reference to the Razor when he skewers himself (or ourself but same difference)

Stubborn: the first one I actually tried to design. I had the idea of giving a sharper, more prominent chin to the voices who seem more likely to resort to violence. the only idea I had for him was his arms so I had to google and this is the best I could come up with

Hunted: my first roadblock. I was clueless and even considered leaving him as just the base form, but a friend suggested giving him a bandana on his neck, so I did that. a little later I decided to make him fluffy instead of giving him clothes and it took a bit to figure out how to do that

Cold: I found an outfit while I was looking for ideas for Stubborn and I thought it was perfect for Cold. my original idea was just a scarf, but I really liked what I found. don't mind the bad posing by the way lmao, I had an idea for a separate art piece but executed that very poorly so now it's part of the design drawings

Smitten: I got some inspiration from Reverse 1999 for this one actually, but the idea was a little too similar to Hero so I mixed that in with something a bard might wear and gave him a funny feathery hat

Paranoid: I drew him before this post and nothing changed from there. the eye on his hood is one sided and there's nothing else underneath. I don't know how to fit all the details in a pose that would make sense so I'll make another post later lol

Broken: in the Tower route pledging yourself kind of was like becoming a priest for her or something so I gave him the first thing I saw on pinterest when I was looking for priest like clothes. there's a shard of glass connecting the cloak together. he also has stab wounds on his torso from the Tower route

Skeptic: so the last three I struggled to think of designs for so much. he has a scar on his neck from just before the Drowned Grey route where giving him the knife would get him to slit the player's throat. the outfit was inspired by something I found on pinterest and thought the chain going across could somewhat be like the chain going around the player's neck

Cheated: this took the longest to figure out and I gave up on thinking of something. I just gave him whatever outfit I could find on pinterest I thought that would fit him lmao. the only thing I managed to think of was putting bandages around his wrist. he has a scar under the bandages from the Razor

Opportunist: I don't know what I was thinking when I designed him or his clothes. I think he just kind of gave me merchant vibes so I tried going for that and gave him a silly hat. he's definitely not hiding a blade behind his back. the coin was just an extra thing I thought of adding. I ran out of paper space on the page and didn't want to put Opportunist on a different page all by himself so he's the only one without a full body drawing, but it wouldn't make much of a difference if it was a full body

about my commandant oc: kye

a.n. i'm sorry in advanced if absolutely nothing makes sense :P kye's lore is all over the place that honestly can be summed up to "wait a minute…. i'm not supposed to be here :jori: erm- anywaysss—". but yeah, here's a lil behind the scenes of kye and some of her lore??? also i made a post about her lore a while ago but deleted it since i wanted to update her lore a bit and i didn't like the way i wrote it. so if you saw that post, no you didn't :)

evolution of kye's design

first two designs were made in 2021 and 2022 respectfully, most recent design was made 2023 i pretty much redesigned kye like every year lol- but i'm pretty happy with her design now so it's been (kinda) finalized after 2 years. the purple/lavender mostly has to do with combining all of the gray raven members' signature colors (for liv i used white rather than pink since i don't really know how to use magenta properly :'))). her most recent design is a bit more monochromatic than her previous designs due to kinda wanting to stick close to the canon skk design while also putting my "small" twist on it. also the template i used for the most recent design was a template i made for a different oc so i might need to update the ref to match with her current body shape :')

kye's outfits

all of these aren't really set in stone, they're more just something for me to default to if i ever run out of ideas on what outfit i want kye to wear in a certain drawing (which won't happen anytime soon lol pinterest be feeding me outfits like there's no tomorrow)

no.001 // commandant of gray raven. normally wields a semi automatic pistol, but can exceed in wielding a greatsword

no.002 // has existed in the times long before the punishing virus, though when confronted with others in regards to the golden age she pretends like she knows very little to no information about that time

no.003 // has had numerous interactions in the past with kurono, but due to her drastic appearance change, many won't recognize her unless if her name is mentioned. most of her interactions were never pleasant, except for interactions with a certain greatsword wielding soldier

no.004 // does not originate from this world, but a completely different world where there are no counterparts to the people she's met here. while she may have stumbled upon this world on "accident," she's quite fond of the people here and refuses to find a way to go back to her home world

no.005 // "accident." this isn't the first time she's been in a world like this one. she has traveled to a world like this one, but the ending of that world wasn't what she had expected in the slightest

no.006 // the key characteristic of what made her "different" was the gemstone infused into her body. thankfully, the gemstone was located at her stomach, so even if she wanted to keep it in her, at least it wasn't visible to the public eye. however, she insisted on surgically removing the stone herself, knowing well that even a slight crack in the stone will lead to a slow and painful death. surprisingly, she was able to remove it perfectly in one piece, which does bring into question how she was able to execute it so well for it being her first time doing so

secrets

secret 01 // loves spicy food, though liv has intervened a few times and ends up lecturing kye about how eating too much spicy food is bad for her

secret 02 // her spine is completely made out of metal due to her constantly breaking her back from carrying constructs (lee) for long periods of time

secret 03 // all the scars on kye's body are from some battle, whether that be from training or battles on earth. minus the scar on her lip, she was trying to open some canned food with her mouth instead of her hands and ended up cutting her lip in the process—the food wasn't worth it

secret 04 // has kept every bot lee has made for her and attempts to maintain them properly, though majority of the time she ends up pleading for lee to help her (he ends up just fixing it for her while she watches from the side)

secret 05 // her favorite flowers are lily of the valley

secret 06 // no one knows that kye isn't from this world, nor will she ever confess about it to anyone

secret 07 // mainly got highlights in her hair because everyone else in gray raven had highlights and wanted to join in

secret 08 // has breakdanced with noctis at least once

secret 09 // the ability to pick up and use kamui's weapons, but everyone jumps in and takes it away from her and lecture her about how it'll cause back pains if she were to use it. only camu knows she can wield a greatsword properly, he's even assisted her in training, but doesn't tell the others about it

secret 10 // she often wonders who gray raven's commandant would've been if she didn't end up in this world, and occasionally regrets existing in the world she's in

secret 11 // her journal consists of memories from both her original and current world. she refuses to let anyone see it, though ayla might've looked through it without her knowing

secret 12 // she used to have longer hair, but it got annoying to maintain and it has out of the ordinary highlights underneath so she decided to chop it all off

secret 13 (lee exclusive) // has learned to read and communicate in machine language, solely from the fact that lee would always send heartfelt messages in anything but a human language

secret 14 (noctis and selena exclusive) // can sing and dance at the same time. doesn't really show it off unless if she's alone or with someone else who can join in with ease

honestly this was all so that i have something to put in my th, but i haven't found a template that i liked there yet to put all my ocs' lore in, especially when so many templates have so many places to put down info that i just dont have :')) anyways, if you made it this far, thank you for reading, stay hydrated and hope you have a good rest of your day/night 💖

Salem’s Modern AU master list

Redesigns:

i accidentally tim drake-ified danny… i love skunk hair danny so i had to include it

Sam got a more punky hairstyle, and all her clothing is thrifted, handmade, or bought from cruelty free clothing brands

I gave danny and tucker matching dumpty humpty shirts, and decided that where danny’s accent color is red, sam’s is her pop of purple eyes, tucker’s should be yellow to set his pallet apart from danny and sam’s. they all got mainly black and gray clothing so the accent color is too differentiate their pallets.

For Paulina i went for the “clean girl” aesthetic. I wanted to keep the pink in the design but i just couldn’t get any shade to fit right with her palette and decided that it could get saved for different outfits

For Star, i definitely leaned into the small town “cheer is my life” mentality (because i’ve experienced it lmaoo) and made sure to give her a cheer crew neck that has accents to match her cheer uniform. As far as my search went, I couldn’t find any sort of canonical last name for star, so i gave her one with a US last name generator website. i input her first name as Star, birth year as 2004, and searched through the results until i found one that i liked, so she’s now Star Wilson.

Valerie got a more “effortlessly pretty” look than paulina and star. i kept her outfit simple with the lighter green to compliment her green eyes. i really liked the idea of a headband but i couldn’t fit it into a modern context with her outfit, so i went for a scarf style i saw on pinterest.

the casper high cheer uniform was pretty much ripped directly from my uniform in my freshman year but with a mock neck top and a slightly different skirt. the poms were referenced off my sophomore year poms, and the bow was based off one of my freshman bows. my coach never let us wear socks that weren’t ankle high or no show, but i love the “old school” vibe of the tall socks so i decided to bring them into my design.

i had no part in the creation of the background other than lighting effects and drawing star, her pose, and her uniform. the base image of the football field was pulled from pinterest.

My Modern AU is set in 2022-23, the kids were born in 2004-2005 so they’d be about 17/18 now.

(these are my current peers so i’m unfortunately very aware of how they act…)
