atm all my WIPs and upcoming fic ideas are Spidey related, but I used to write a lot for MLB and OL:BA (and A:TLA back on ffn in hs but we don't talk about the dark ages hahaha)

5. do you respond to comments?
So I didn't always, but nowadays I try really hard to respond to every comment thread at least, even if I don't always have the last comment on the thread. I really REALLY appreciate each and every comment and I actually often re-read them when I'm feeling insecure in my writing (is that cringe? maybe lol but it's true)
6. what is the fic your wrote with the angstiest ending?
Definitely The Beauty of Green. 268-word OL: BA drabble that smacks you out of nowhere in the last two sentences. I never write things that short anymore but it just worked
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
A lot of my one-shots back when I was writing for MLB like 5 years ago have happy endings. I prefer more *complicated* endings now, but a genuinely happy ending can be nice too. May I present Drops in a Pond for consideration though? Not traditionally fluffy or sweet, but I like to think it's a soft and hopeful kind of ending.
8. do you get hate on fics?
I haven't yet. I think I'm too small of a creator to get hate lol
9. do you write smut?
I've posted one smut fic before, Under the Moonlight, listed above. It's my top-rated fic so I guess I know a little of what I'm doing. OH and my side-wip I'm working on when SMH is too angsty for me is all fluff and kinky Parkner smut and I'm so excited to post that someday when SMH is fully out and done.
10. craziest crossover:
I haven't written any crossovers, unless you count pulling from marvel canon across different adaptations to make SMH (it's got Gwen and Harry and Miles even though they're not in the MCU 19999 as of now). But I used to write a lot of aus
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don't think so
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but I would be so honored if someone did! I once had a full conversation in the comments with someone in another language by using Google Translate and that was fun!
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
I think my writing process would be a little too unconventional to co-write with someone unless we were trading chapters and perspectives. I go back and edit my drafts a lot as I move forward and I would be too tempted to edit their writing too, which feels mean...
14. all time favorite ship?
I LITERALLY CAN NOT PICK DO NOT DO THIS TO ME!!!!! I will be a multi-shipper until the day I die, in basically every fandom.
15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have an idea for a series of long fics making an MCU HS AU inspired by Degrassi, but I think it would be just too many hours and too many words that I won't ever commit to. I love a good HS AU every now and again, but I feel like a lot of people (across fandoms with hs aus tbh) write the characters as if they already have a lot of the canon quirks the characters have as adults. I would want to write them truly as their HS selves, acting like real teenagers and all the dumb shit teens do, as the reader follows along on the journey of their growing up.
16. what are your writing strengths?
I think I really like detail and trying to portray a level of reality with the characters, even in more fantastical settings. I want the character's choices and motivations to be both complex and clear to the reader, even when they're making choices that the reader disagrees with. I also think this is a skill that is more and more prevalent in my recent writing, so my earlier MLB stuff doesn't have as much of it. My OLBA stuff and now my Spidey stuff though? Yeah.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
Staying motivated to finish WIPS. (This is something I've improved a lot on though and at this point, barring some kind of life-or-death calamity in my life, I will absolutely be finishing SMH. I'm literally 120k of a predicted 150k words deep and going strong sooo).
OH ALSO comedy! I'm so bad at writing funny characters and making them actually say things that are both funny and make sense. Sucks when writing Spidey cause he can be such a little shit with his sarcastic comments and each dialogue point takes me 3-5 business weeks to come up with.
18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?
I do it very rarely and only when it feels 100% necessary. I had a small bit in Spanish in ch 6 of SMH because Jeff and Rio were literally talking about Peter right in front of him and he could hear the words they were saying, even if he didn't understand them. But it was very brief.
I did it because the POV character literally didn't understand it, so it made sense to have it written out. In fics where the POV character understands what's being said, I prefer it all be written in the fic's primary language, for reader ease.
19. first fandom you wrote in?
A:TLA, like I said. That was back in the dark ages of my Junior Year of HS on my old ffn account that will never see the light of day again hahaha
20. favorite fic you've written?
Every current WIP has always been my favorite because that is what I'm thinking about. So SMH is definitely my current fave. It's my baby and I've put literally hundreds of hours into it (I keep a spreadsheet lol, it's nearly 150 hours of sheer writing, not including the early days of brainstorming and outlining.)
HOWEVER, back in the day, I was really proud of writing Answer Me and it's literally my lowest-rated fic, but I was such a fan of the genre and the Night Circus inspiration. Plus, I love Alya as a character and it was really fun to write from her perspective.
OH, and I'm still proud of Under the Moonlight because it taught me that my acespec ass can write smut and is also good at it, lol. I just have to write smut that's rooted in ~*~feelings~*~ and also has an element of humanism and imperfection. Which is the type of vibe I'm putting into my side-wip rn.

Imagine... a new baby brother AU by peakwonderfulness
So @peakwonderfulness said they were doing an AU where Tom and Sabine had another child when Marinette is 15, and subsequently made my brain go into overdrive 😂 so here are some imaginings I had from our discussion in @frostedpuffs's discord server...
(btw we had decided collectively that the baby would be a boy and that Adrien was 1000% invested in the baby and helping out wherever and whenever he can - I mean, Alya, Nino, Roland and Gina would be also, but they're not in this scene)
Imagine Marinette and Adrien encourage Tom and Sabine to have the night off and go for a date night, and so Adrien stays over to help Marinette look after her baby brother. Imagine Adrien heating up the baby bottle and feeding the baby while Marinette makes dinner for them both. Imagine that while one of them is out of the room (say, for example, to go shower or change the baby's nappy), the other lets their kwami fly freely around and interact with the baby, and the baby absolutely adores the kwamis, and vice versa. Imagine Adrien and Marinette taking turns trying to settle the baby, and once the baby finally drifts off into dreamland and placed securely in his crib that Adrien back-hugs Marinette, and she rests her head on his shoulder with his cheek resting on the crown of her head, standing there watching the baby sleep soundly, content in the peaceful visage and hypnotic rhythm of breathing while in the arms of one another before they eventually slip out of the room.
Imagine Adrien telling Marinette that he was already loving his first ever sleepover, and upon hearing that Marinette decides to treat Adrien to some staples of sleepovers - including a pillow/blanket fort (complete with the baby monitor because they are responsible teens). Imagine Adrien wanting to try braiding Marinette's hair, and he keeps losing his place because he really likes how smooth and soft her hair is. Imagine Adrien insisting they paint each other's nails and gossip (which was less gossip and more swapping stories from their childhoods - Marinette's memories of their classmates and the shenanigans they all got up to, and Adrien's recollections of the antics and friendships with both Chloé and Félix). Imagine Adrien is so focused on painting her nails that he unconsciously bleps and Marinette can't help but find that adorable. Imagine them having to stifle their giggles so they don't wake the baby, leading to silent fits of laughter, rolling on the floor as tears stream down their faces, the only sounds are the hiccups of breaths as they try and fail to calm down.
Imagine that they decide to watch a movie together, and because they don't want the baby to wake, they opt for making a batch of cookies instead of popcorn - as well as a plate with some vegetables and dips - to snack on, and while Marinette is looking after the cookies, Adrien finds some tea lights and votive glasses, so he lights the tea lights because he thinks the ambience would be really nice when watching the movie with Marinette. Imagine that they cuddled up to watch the movie and at some point Marinette falls asleep against Adrien as the movie plays, and he just holds her contently. Imagine the baby awakes and Adrien carefully extracts himself to go look after the baby.
Imagine Marinette wakes to find the movie paused and Adrien gone, but before she could panic she hears his voice coming through the baby monitor and she sees through the camera that he's just finished changing the nappy and he starts to try and settle the baby. Imagine Marinette hearing Adrien confide to her baby brother that he thinks Marinette is absolutely amazing, and that the baby is so lucky to have her as his older sister, because she's the most amazing person Adrien knows. Imagine Adrien goes on to gush about how wonderful Tom and Sabine are as parents, and how blessed the baby is to be so loved and cared for by so many people. Imagine she gets up and goes to her parent's room (where the crib is) and leans against the doorway as he promises her brother that no matter what happens in the future, that he'd always be there for him. Imagine Adrien turning to see Marinette in the doorway and smiles at her before putting her now sleeping brother back in the crib. Imagine Marinette hugging Adrien and whispering to him that he is just as loved as her brother is, and how grateful she is to have him in her life.
Imagine Tom and Sabine come home to find Adrienette snuggled up together in their pillow/blanket fort with the baby monitor still directly in front of the two teens as they slept soundly. Imagine them placing bets as to when the two teens would get together, because they know it's only a matter of time.
Imagine the next morning Adrien wakes up first, and he spends some time admiring the sleeping Marinette with her head on his chest, and he entertains the notion of falling for her (even though something in him tells him he has fallen a long time ago), before falling back asleep. Imagine Marinette waking up some time later, watching Adrien peacefully sleeping and reflecting on the way he looked after her brother the night before, and all the words he said, and thinks to herself how wonderful of a father he would make one day. Imagine he wakes once again and they greet each other with soft whispered "hey"s that are as gentle as the morning sun, with smiles to match. Imagine they quietly set about cleaning up the area before Marinette offers to teach him how to make omelettes, which is a fun yet slightly chaotic experience, but it works out well, and they once again realise they make a great team together.
Imagine many more such sleepovers are had, and one time as Adrien is settling the baby as Marinette sleeps, Tom and Sabine come home and overhear Adrien telling their son that one day he hopes to marry Marinette, if she'd have him. Imagine Marinette had, again, awoken to find him missing only to hear his voice saying those words over the baby monitor.
I can't wait for more of this AU (so you might see me obsessing over it every now and again) - I have more thoughts/ideas about this AU, so if you want to see them, let me know!

Second and Third are astronauts exploring a planet (I guess this would be way in the future) only to meet a handsome white-haired alien
This is based off of my own cat: AFO brings home a cat he calls Izuku, eager to be loved by the animal, only for Izuku to prefer Yoichi instead as he doesn't try to pick him up and is patient and calm. (My cat hates being picked up and will scratch, but if you're patient, she will love you :)
Everyone being scared of a spider or something, until Yoichi (who is canonically a street rat) comes by and just eats it. "Better than eating raw rats"
Here's one from Greek mythology. Specifically, Atalanta. Baby Yoichi was thrown out by his parents because he was too weak, and his twin brother AFO was kept and raised to become king. Meanwhile, Yoichi has been raised by bears. Blah, blah, blah, he ends up being brought back to his kingdom and reunited with his brother. However, he's super hot and everyone wants to marry him. Luckily for this AFO, Yoichi doesn't want to get married and challenges his suitors to a footrace. The suitors get a headstart, and if they can't win, he ends up killing them. (He was raised by bears) But a determined Second prays to the goddess of love for a way to win and gets 3 golden apples to throw and distract him. Second wins, they get married, and AFO whines through it all. Yay, happy ending (unless you include the part where they get turned into lions)

That would be an absolutely hilarious fic. I imagine that it would be absolute chaos in the void and in the living world as Izuku tried getting used to whichever vestige’s quirk he has
A future fic would be fun to do ^^ I am already coming up with some ideas for what could be alien characters (haven’t decided if they should be full alien or humanoid)

Differences in the Jocks Kwami Swap AU
More from season 2!
Troublemaker
The moment has finally arrived
Really at the start not much is different, Penny is having trouble controlling everything that's happening around her, but I'm thinking I might swap what they have Jagged do-
I don't know for sure yet but I'm considering my options. Either way Penny gets pushed to the limit and gets akumatized
Chartreux and Crimson are fighting her as they normally would, while Kitsune is having a whole ass crisis cause her plans aren't working
She kinda collapses on a roof, watching the other two heroes do their thing all chaotic and remembers her motto, the advice she received and follows religiously;
"Life your life with no regrets"
And she starts to realize that the duo make tons of mistakes and never seem to get down on themselves despite how much they should regret their decisions
Kitsune realizes that she's been thinking about the advice the wrong way. It doesn't mean to do everything without flaw the first time, but to have fun and live in the moment, have fun and enjoying life for what it is
So she goes feral
Jocks style
Joins the fight and just follows the flow and in the end the new Jocks Trio are victorious
However, Fu isn't so pleased. He can't take back the miraculouses, but he has to stop this mess before it gets worse
So he and Wayzz go for a walk, and are saved by a certain classmate, who gets invited back for tea
Gigantitan
Ugh the baby
Episode starts with Max learning about the miraculous and Fu and stuff from Fu, who hands him the turtle and asks him to become the leader the team needs
Max isn't sure about the idea at first, because if he can't even keep Kim and Alix out of danger, how can he protect his fellow heroes?
He gets a pep talk and agrees
Meanwhile the class has gathered to scheme a way to get Adrien out of his schedule to hang out with them. They were all assigned secret roles and invited by a "mysterious mastermind"
It's just Kagami
Newly living her life her way, she comes up with something so ridiculous it might just work
Only it doesn't and the Gorilla is about to be akumatized but instead it's the baby
The trio transform to fight it only to receive messages on their devices from a "Shell Shock", which they promptly ignore
When the Turtle Hero does show up, he saves their asses and pulls them aside to tell them the plan and of course none of them are too pleased
However they go with it and they win. Shell Shock explains that he was chosen to be the team leader and the corespondent between them and the "Guardian" and tells Kitsune that he will message her through the magic system thing for when she's needed. Otherwise she is to stay away from the fight
Yeah she's not happy
Episode ends with Adrien joining the class for some hangout at the park after his next shoot was cancelled due to the akuma attack
Riposte
The day has finally arrived for Kagami to try out for the fencing academy in Paris and a lot is riding on her acceptance. If she fails to get in, her grandfather will have her and Tomoe moved back home again. She'll lose her newfound freedom, her friends, her secret identity
Still upset about essentially being called a sidekick, Kagami isn't ik the right mindset for fencing. She and Trixx have a little chat in the locker room before she puts her necklace and ring in her locker
Marinette, Alix, Kim, and Ivan (the last three having just stayed past their lacrosse practice) are there to cheer Kagami on and show their support
Kagami and Adrien are paired up to fight, but they don't have any mats to practice on because they're being cleaned. While they're fighting, Kagami steps on a wet part of the floor and slips, losing in the process
No one liked that
The instructor says that since she lost she can't join and says his decision is final when people mention how unfair he's being
Kagami just walks out, trying not to show how upset she is when she calls her mother to share the results. When asked to challenge the decision and do a rematch, she states that in her family there is no room for second chances and leaves
Then haha akuma time
Having not gone back to her locker, she doesn't have the fox miraculous so it's a normal akuma
Might change some things about Riposte not sure yet
Shell Shock messages Kitsune that they won't need her at the start of the fight but things get rough for a bit there, and he can't help but think that Mirage would have been useful then
The heroes end up winning, Kagami's mother tells her to "stop being stubborn" and to accept a fair second match, deciding to keep her loss a secret from her grandfather
For the final bit, Kagami gets her proper rematch, and kicks Adrien's ass. And with that, she's in the academy and gets to stay in Paris
She goes and puts on both her ring and the fox miraculous, apologizing to Trixx for what happened while they were apart
Befana
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINETTE
The class is preparing a surprise party for her, everyone pitching in something to make it extra special
Some of the classmates discuss their gifts to her while preparing, Nino with his playlist for the party, Mylene with a plush from one of those animal charities, Alix with a collection of recipes and some spare fabric she got from her grandma all the way from Egypt
And Juleka with a CD of "background noise" music she and Luka made with Marinette in mind
As that's happening Gina (?) Shows up for her annual Nonna and Mari day, which Tom forgot about because of how excited he was for the surprise party idea
Rather than what happens in canon, Gina and Marinette take turns choosing a small activity to do together, just like every year. After a trip to some candy shop, Gina's about to have her final turn where she planned to give Marinette her gift
That's when Alya calls Marinette and claims that she's got a huge scoop and needs her trusty moderator to help her out
Marinette doesn't want to miss out on the little time she gets with her Nonna but Gina just insists she go cause it sounded important. She leaves after saying she'll see Marinette back home later
The Birthday Girl shows up to the surprise party and she's actually surprised this time cause she was so focused on picking the perfect activities for her and Gina that she didn't see the clues
Befana happens when Tom tells his mom that Marinette is at a birthday party and she gets mad that her own granddaughter felt the need to lie as if she wouldn't let her go to her own party if she asked
There's a bit of a detail about Marinette not even taking any of the candies with her, even though it's both of their favourite
I liked Befana's powers well enough, I thought that it was pretty cool. It's based on La Befana, who I believe is basically Italian Santa?? It's cool
The heroes struggle to sneak away while some of their classmates are turned to stone or into those weird angels, all while trying to keep Marinette safe
Shell Shock and Chartreux are the most successful, since Kagami and Kim are trying to protect the birthday girl
They do get a chance to transform and Shell Shock comes up with a complicated plan to stop the akuma
So obviously it gets screwed up at some point
Once the fight is done, Marinette tries to talk to Gina and explain everything, making it clear that she loves their days together
This is when Gina gives her the gift, er, gifts. First is a bag meant to allow Mari to bring some if her sewing stuff on the go
The second is a jacket just like Gina's, only it has the little blossoms from Marinette's shirt and shit, and announces that she's staying in Paris for a while longer, promising to take Marinette on a proper bike trip
Here's the next four episodes planned! I'm nearly done with season 3 now and I'm gonna wait to do another Differences post while I figure things out with 2 and 3 lmao

Marinette: Operation: Slumber Party is a go.
Alya: So, how is Operation: Slumber Party gonna happen?
Marinette: First, I'll invite him out for a fruit smoothie at the end of the photo shoot! I can call Chloe and Felix to meet us there. Then, we'll go back to my place where we can bake! After that we can binge watch an anime we like, My Hero Academia? No, Sailor Moon. And then we'll watch videos on YouTube! Maybe cat videos? Nah, forget the cat videos, we've seen them plenty of times. Hamster videos! We love hamsters!
Adrien: *appearing next to them, dressed in Felix's clothes* That sounds fun, Mari!! :D
Marinette: *screams and jumps back*
Alya: .....Felix? When did you get here?
Marinette: *looking at "Felix" closely* ....Adrien?
Alya: Marinette. I'm pretty sure this is Felix.
Marinette: Alya. I've known Adrien and Felix since we were like babies. This is Adrien. Which means...

Dad!Plagg: Kwami Swap AU

“Awww! Why the sad kitten face, Mari-caron?”
The floating feline god circled his Chosen’s head before settling on her shoulder and nuzzling her neck. She reached up and scratched between his ears, her eyes never leaving the sketchbook in front of her.
She exhaled, cheeks puffing up and let out a slow breath. “It’s this dress I’m trying to design for Mme. Bourgeois' ‘Designer of the Future’ contest.” She rubbed her eyes tiredly. “I was so excited when she announced this yesterday but today I’m completely drawing a blank.”
Plagg sighed. Tikki was better with pep talks but she was off mothering that blond kid while his sweet little kitten was floundering. He adored Marinette; she was creative enough to be a Ladybug but she had a hidden mischievous side he adored. It didn’t hurt that her dad was the best baker in Paris and his cheese danishes made him purr just thinking about them.
The poor girl always weighed herself down, taking on projects like posters for her friends’ band or being class rep. Being Chatte Noire allowed her to cut loose and vault across the roofs of Paris while she helped Mister Bug protect the city. He loved the way her joy in freedom transferred through the suit.
There was no joy on her pretty face at the moment and she slumped forward. “I regret entering that hat contest M. Agreste held at school. Way more attention than I was expecting for a simple derby.” She groaned and hid her face in her hands. “Mme. Bourgeois, the Style Queen herself, came to my class yesterday and told me after making the announcement, ‘I expect great things from you, darling.’ Right in front of my entire class!” She threw her hands in the air. “Now Chloe’s mad at me for daring to catch her mother’s eye and Lila’s no doubt plotting my death for stealing attention away from her. My life is a disaster!” She declared dramatically.
Plagg patted her shoulder as best he could with his tiny paw. “No, it isn’t! Hey, look at the bright side!” He leaned in and whispered in a conspiratorial tone, “your friend Adrien was very open about his support of you. He even told you he thinks his dad should hire you now and beat the rush.”
Marinette smiled. It was soft and gentle. “Adrien’s such a good friend. I’m glad I have his support.”
The little god tried not to sigh. His kitten was in love with Tikki’s baby bug and saw his civilian form as just a good buddy. Her obliviousness would be funny if it weren’t so sad.
He left her shoulder and flew in front of her face. “It’s Saturday.”
She nodded slowly. “Yes. And?”
“And…” he closed her sketchbook. “You should take a break.” She tried to protest but he went on, “you’re not making any progress staying home and worrying, Mari-caron, so why not go outside, get some fresh air, and try again later?”
“Right!” She grabbed her sketchbook and stuffed it in her backpack before grabbing her phone. “I might get some inspiration while walking through Paris!”
“That’s my kitten!” Plagg nuzzled her cheek and purred.
His Chosen scratched him under the chin. “Who’s the sweetest god of destruction with the best ideas?”
He snickered and enjoyed his scritches. “I am.”

Marinette had been walking around Paris for about an hour. No inspiration had hit yet but she was having a good time and Plagg was glad to see his kitten’s shoulders had begun to relax.
“M-Marinette?”
The girl looked up to see her classmate, Adrien Agreste, smiling awkwardly as he separated from his photographer to approach her.
Plagg felt his Chosen tense up for a moment then relaxed. The boy was always so nervous around her civilian form it always made her think she’d done something wrong.
Today Adrien seemed a bit less awkward, probably because he’d been modeling, something he was good at.
The boy wore a simple blazer over a polo shirt and slacks, making the ensemble look good with his easy grace.
Marinette smiled at her friend. “Adrien! Good to see you!”
“You too.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “What...brings you out today?”
The boy winced, no doubt thinking his attempt at conversation was lame.
The girl either didn’t notice or pretended not to. “I was trying to design something for Mme. Bourgeois’ contest but I came down with a bad case of artist’s block. So I decided I’d get some fresh air and maybe some inspiration too.”
“It worked last time,” Adrien replied, recalling the pigeon-inspired derby.
They shared a laugh and Marinette glanced down and noticed what Adrien had in his hand. “I like your roses.”
The model grinned. “Oh, yeah. We’re doing a casual wedding shoot today and I guess I’m the bride.”
Marinette laughed so hard she nearly doubled over. “Well, you’re the loveliest bride I know.”
Adrien blushed. “Thanks. I try.” His eyes lit up with an idea and he held out a rose to Marinette.
She looked at it. It was a lovely variegated hybrid, light pink with darker shades around the tips of the petals.
It was perfect.
Marinette carefully took it from his outstretched fingers. Suddenly she smiled and exclaimed, “Adrien! You’re a genius!”
The model looked confused. “Thanks?”
She gave him a huge impulsive hug. “You just gave me the best inspiration for the design contest!” The dark haired girl kissed his cheek. “I’m gonna go home and get started. You’re the best!” She sped off towards the bakery.
Adrien touched the cheek she’d kissed and stared after her, wide-eyed. “I’m not sure what just happened, but I’m perfectly fine with it.”
Somewhere in his pocket, Tikki giggled.

Marinette held her breath as Audrey Bourgeois walked around her design entry. She was rather proud of her gown. It resembled an upside down rose; strapless and blush pink with a skirt ruffled and tiered to mimic rose petals.
Each tier had been dipped in increasingly darker shades of pink until the hem was nearly magenta.
The young designer had been rather proud of her ingenuity but seeing the Style Queen’s expressionless face made her nervous.
“Mlle. Dupain-Cheng,” Audrey crooked her finger at the girl and the bluenette approached her. “I don’t like this gown.”
Marinette’s heart plummeted until the woman took off her trademark sunglasses and gave the young woman a rare smile of approval.
“I love it!” the maven of fashion patted the skirt. “It’s so clever and perfect for spring! Rose inspired gowns have just become the new thing, thanks in part to you, and bringing back the ombre look? You clever girl!”
The designer stood frozen in shock until Adrien gently nudged her. “I’m very flattered, Mme. Bourgeois.”
“As you should be,” Audrey pressed a business card into Marinette’s shaking hands. “Let me know if you change your mind about being mentored. Since I’m staying in Paris for a time it should no longer be a problem.”
“Thank you,” the girl managed but the woman was already making a sweeping exit, Chloe trailing in her wake.
“Congratulations, Marinette,” Adrien smiled at her and dared to give her a gentle hug around the shoulders. “I knew you’d win.”
“That’s so kind of you,” Marinette smiled at him and promptly burst into tears.
Adrien jumped away. “I’m so sorry! I-”
“No, no.” Marinette waved a hand. “I’m just so happy!” She kissed his cheek and then ran to the girl’s bathroom.
Once he was sure they were alone Plagg darted out and hugged his Chosen as best as he could with his tiny arms.
“I’m proud of ya, Mari-caron,” he told her. “I knew you could do it, all you had to do is relax and let the ideas come to you.”
She kissed his furry head. “You’re the best kwami I could hope for, Plagg.”
“Eh...more or less,” he was glad his kitten couldn’t tell he was blushing. “That Agreste kid helped too. Maybe you should make him something?”
“Yeah...do you think he’d like a scarf?”

Jiminette String Part 3
I’M BACK BABY! I know you’ve been waiting for this, here it is, everyone!
Part 1 Part 2
Adrien looks at his fingers, seeing strings on his fingers, confused about them.
“Don’t be bemused, it’s just the news! A new Akuma, going by the name, “Soulfinder” is walking through Paris, making everyone see Soulmate strings. Oh, it seems he has an announcement to Paris.”
Adrien looks towards the TV to see the supervillain smirking at the Camera near the Lourve.
“People of Paris, I am Soulfinder. I’ve been called crazy for years, insane because I saw that some people just aren’t meant to be together. They said I was just trying to break up all the good couples, but now you all get to see who your soulmates are! Let me explain the strings. Thumbs are like the pointer, but the thumb is your soul sibling. Those that are too close to be friends, but are not romantic. Pointers are strictly platonic. They can move to the middle finger, which is Soul enemies. The ring finger is romantic, and pinkie is the soul parent or child. It depends on your age. But be warned, if you grab your romantic soulmate string and you aren’t in the same place as them, something weird could happen. It could be you lose sight in one eye and so does your soulmate, but your soulmates would be seeing from your sightless eye. You could switch bodies with your soulmate. It’s random. Enjoy knowing who your soulmate is!” Soulfinder smiles.
Adrien looks at his finger where Plagg’s ring is residing, seeing a dark blue string on his finger.
“What do you think you’re doing, Adrien? You need to go out there and help Ladybug take down the villain!” Plagg exclaims.
Adrien protests, “But I could finally prove that Ladybug and I are soulmates!”
Plagg growls, “Didn’t you hear the Akuma? There are side effects! You could swap bodies with your soulmate, which will drive both you and them insane and you won’t be able to help Ladybug! You could lose sight in one eye, making it extremely hard to fight!”
Adrien frowns, “It’s a risk I have to take.” reaching for his string.
“Adrien, NO!”

Kagami frowns, quite confused at this turn of events. She ignores her romantic string, quickly realising that isn’t important, and grabs her thumb string, seeing Marinette in her mind's eye after she grabs it. But what surprises her is seeing Marinette transform into Multimouse, which Kagami approves of Ladybug’s choice, but then drops the string in shock at something else.
“What are you doing, Kagami?” Longg asks.
Kagami frowns, “I don’t care who I belong with. I care for Marinette. We need to help Ladybug. Longg, bring the storm!”
Kagami transforms into Ryuko, only to look at her hands and see her thumb and pointer strings haven’t disappeared from her sight. She looks up to see where her thumb is leading and follows it.

Marinette hides in an alleyway and frowns, “We have to save Liam!”
Tikki nods, “Just say the words, Marinette!”
“Tikki, Spots on!” Marinette exclaims, transforming.
The suit appears to have been upgraded, getting more armour around the chest area, on her legs and shoulders. (I’m horrible at describing this. I just want her to have a better suit.) Ladybug then looks at her hand to realise that the pointer and thumb strings haven’t disappeared. She ignores that because she can ask Liam once he’s been de-akumatised. She throws her yoyo and swings away, looking for Soulfinder.

Claire and Jim jump out of a Shadow portal onto a roof. They see Soulfinder walking away from the Lourve.
“How can we do this?” Claire asks.
Jim exclaims, “Wait, look!”
Ladybug lands in front of them, quite surprised.
“How’d you get up here?” She asks.
Jim sighs, “That’s not important right now, Ladybug. What is important is that we can help!”
Ladybug pulls them out of Soulfinder’s field of vision and asks, “How can you help?”
Claire grabs Ladybug’s shoulder and answers, “I use shadow magic. I can make portals quite easily and quickly and can move shadows. Literally.”
“I’m gonna need more than your word for that.” Ladybug frowns.
Claire puts her hand to her left, opening a portal to a few feet away and sticks her hand in, causing it to come out the other side. Ladybug’s eyes widen.
“We can help!” Claire frowns.
Ladybug puts her hand to her chin in thought.
“You can’t help like this. If Hawk Moth new about your power, he’d try and take it from you, either by kidnapping or some other way. But- Of course!” Ladybug snaps her fingers. “You stay right here. I’ll be back.”
Ladybug swings away, leaving the two on the rooftop.
“Do you think we should’ve told her what weapons we prefer?” Jim asks.
Claire shrugs, “Probably.”

Ladybug jumps into her room and detransforms, walking over to the Miracle Box she’s hidden underneath her pillow.
“Are you sure about this, Marinette?” Tikki asks.
Marinette nods, “Trust me, Tikki. We can trust them. They offered to help, and if Hawk Moth assumes Claire’s power is from a Miraculous, she’d be so much safer than if he knew the truth.”
She opens the Miracle Box and looks at the Miraculous inside, reaching towards it, trying to figure out which to use this time.
“Of course!” Marinette exclaims as she grabs two.
She quickly transforms and runs back, hoping they’re still there. On her way, she bumps into Ryuko.
“Ladybug, do you know where the akuma is?” Ryuko asks.
Ladybug nods, “It’s in a chain bracelet. We’ll probably need some help, though.”
Ryuko nods, “I trust you to pick worthy holders. But, Ladybug, after the battle, I need to talk to you.”

Downstairs, Sabine and Tom look at their ring-fingers to find they are attached to each other, and they are relieved.
“At least we were meant to be together, Tom.” Sabine smiles.
Tom replies, “I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be my soulmate.”
“He’s such a sweetheart. I’m glad we’re soulmates.”
“She can kick anyone’s butt. That’s what I fell in love with.”
(I am so sorry, I had to put this in.)

Claire and Jim watch as Soulfinder looks at people’s worried faces as he passes by them.
“How can we turn him back to Liam?” Jim frowns.
“We can help with that.” Ladybug smiles.
The two teenagers turn to Ladybug to see Ryuko with her. She swipes her yoyo, causing it to open and a glowing white light appearing inside. Ladybug puts her hand in, pulling out a box. She holds it towards Jim.
“Jim Lake Jr, this is the Miraculous of the Tiger, which grants the power of the hunt. You will use it for the greater good. Once the mission is completed, you will return the Miraculous to me. Can I trust you, Jim?” Ladybug asks.
Jim nods, “Of course you can.”
He picks up the box and opens it, causing a small glowing orb to fly around him, giving him deja vu. When the light dies down, a small tiger-like creature appears.
“Hello, young cub, I am Roaar! I’m your kwami for today. All you have to say it Roaar, time to hunt!” Roaar smiles.
Jim smiles as he puts on the Panjas bracelet, “Roaar, time to hunt!”
Roaar goes into the Panjas bracelet. Instead of the usual feeling of Armour surrounding him, he feels fabric forming on his skin, including on his face. When it’s finished, Jim stands with a bit of dark purple in his hair, a mask with black and purple stripes on it, and a purple bodysuit with black stripes, and a tail attached to his back. Claws protrude from his fingers and two swords lay on his back. Ladybug’s face almost turns as red as her mask seeing how attractive he is. She quickly pulls out another box and holds it to Claire.
“Claire Nunez, this is the Miraculous of the Horse, which grants the power of teleportation. You will use it for the greater good. Once the job is done, you will return the miraculous to me. Can I trust you?” Ladybug asks.
Claire smirks, “Yep. Not that I needed it.”
Ladybug explains, “Yes, but Hawk Moth won’t know that. He’ll just assume you’re old enough to make more than one portal.”
Claire opens the box to reveal glasses. Another glowing orb appears, and it flies around Claire. As the light dissipates, a little horse kwami appears.
“Oh, hello. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?” The kwami asks.
“Claire Nunez.” Claire answers.
The kwami asks, “Are you glorious and famous?”
Ladybug rolls her eyes and goes to say something when Claire answers, “I’m the daughter of a Councilwoman back in Arcadia, so I’m a little famous. What do I have to do?”
“All you have to say is, “Kaalki, full gallop!” Kaalki smiles.
Claire puts on the glasses and smirks, “Kaalki, full gallop!”
Kaalki goes into the glasses, and Claire transforms. Her white patch in her hair grows, covering all her hair, which has grown and is pulled into a high ponytail. A horseshoe appears on her waist. (If anyone can do fanart, I would love that, please. I can’t figure out how to describe her transformation.)
“You have a gaggletack?” Jim asks.
Ladybug asks, “What? It’s just a magical horseshoe. Like my yoyo. Oh, and what are your names?”
A/N: I’m baaaaack! Damn, you’ve been waiting a while, haven’t you? Admittedly, not as long as for other fics, but gah! Oh, this was fun to write. I had to make a nod towards the Gaggletacks because come on! Oh, and I have no clue for names for the heroes. I mean, Claire’s Spanish, so we can give her a Spanish name, and she can suggest something for Jim! Please, though, I need your opinions and FANART! I am terrible at drawing, and editing pictures, so I need YOURS! Please! I’m begging on my knees.
Oh, and Adrien’s soulmate, can anyone guess who it is? Dark blue because the character I picked out of nowhere seems to where that the most. Seriously, she seems like she doesn’t have any flavour in her closet. Just stripes. I apologise for giving you such heartache. And, what should happen to Adrien when he grabs the string? Blind in one eye, soulmate teleports into his room, swap bodies, what do you think should happen? I do have a plan, but if I’m given a better idea, I might do it.

Black Cats are Some Kind of Luck
Oh god this might just be a little bit of a crack fic but I had way too much fun writing this.
Rated M, probably? Iunno. LukaNoire!

In most of the mornings Luka had in his life after toddlerhood he woke up alone in his bed. When Juleka was younger, maybe a toddler herself, she had dragged him out of his bed to hide under a blanket on the floor when she had nightmares. Anarka would find her babies in a tangled nest, since sleeping on the floor meant finding no monsters under the bed to very young imaginative minds.
This morning he woke up with… someone else snuggled next to him. Someone who looked a lot like Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
He hadn't gone to sleep that way. Pretty sure of that. He was and had been sober.
He had no idea what happened.
Gently he pried himself away from her, extricating himself carefully from her grasp. He took a quick look around his room and yep, this was his room in his flat that he shared with his best friend. His guitars were hung up against the walls, his music sheet paper was on his desk in random piles, his hoodie was thrown over his desk covering his laptop.
But it was Marinette. In his bed. Oh god, he thought, HOW was she here? Somewhere deep down inside of him he didn't find the idea of him waking up next to her unwelcome but… there was a natural progression to things. Sure, he'd been in love with her for years but she was Marinette Dupain-Cheng the up-and-coming fashion star and personal designer for Jagged Stone. He was just Luka. He hadn't ever given himself even the slimmest of chances when she was Marinette and she had her eyes on Adrien Agreste, the supermodel and son of Gabriel, who ran the most prominent design house in France. She was probably 2 standard deviations out of his league.
"Shit," he whispered to no one in particular. He checked himself over and double checked that he was sober and dressed (oh god we didn't… did we?). She was wearing her pajamas and it didn't look like they did anything so that wasn't going to cause an immediate meltdown. He should probably wake her up and… figure out what happened. He knelt by the edge of the bed and gently shook her by the shoulder. "Hey. Marinette?"
"Mnnng," she groaned, eyebrows furrowing as she frowned. She grabbed at his blankets and pulled them in toward her, then started opening her eyes. "Hi," she said, lazily smiling up at him. She must still have been waking up, but if she smiled like that to whoever she woke up next to he'd happily have them both go back to sleep just so they'd wake up together again.
"Do you know where you are?" He asked. Maybe there'd been an akuma attack and she got teleported here? He wasn't sure. "You're in my room. Do you remember how you got here?"
"Yeah," she yawned. "I cam--" Her eyes shot wide open mid-word and she slapped her hands over her mouth. "Th-there was an akuma!"
∴
Oh god, she almost said she came here on purpose, and not because she'd been high as a kite on whatever kitty hormones had coursed through her veins while she was Lady Noire.
Well, she couldn't blame it just on the kitty hormones. Regular hormones were bad enough. And if she was even more honest with herself she had wanted to wake up next to Luka Couffaine, the gentleman rocker, ever since she found herself thinking about blues more than greens, distressed more than clean and crisp, shy but warm laughter more than confused smiles.
So basically for a couple of years now.
She should have seen it coming. When she and Mister Bug decided to swap permanently she'd been informed by Plagg that should she choose it, she'd be able to tap into some latent powers with the side effect of being more like the animal the Miraculous represented. She didn't think it'd be a problem so she chose it. Cats just slept all the time. If she didn't have to worry about being Ladybug anymore she could afford more sleep, right?
What she didn't really account for (and she should have after a facepalm worthy moment where she realized Plagg had been teasing it all along) was the heat. Or whatever it was that made her way more… touch-oriented, and way less inhibited than usual.
She'd been alright with napping more often. She'd been alright about unconsciously licking her hands clean. It was convenient that she was the daughter of bakers and helped out making pastries. She was practically covered in flour and sugar all the time anyway (regardless, she always washed her hands after). She didn't have a tail to swish around whenever she was annoyed so nothing about her was more cat-like than usual. Though she was annoyed more often now that she thought about it.
The cat-ness also severely affected her sense of smell.
She wasn't alright with how good some people smelled, especially near her period. When she and Kagami were having a juice date Marinette legitimately drooled at how vibrantly citrusy the fencer was. Alya, Nino, and most of Kitty Section smelled pleasant. Her parents smelled… well, familiar, which was to be expected. Adrien also smelled familiar, which was unexpected.
Luka was the worst. She couldn't place the scent but she kept thinking of blueberries, sea salt, chocolate, ocean waves lapping at her feet, the warmth of a crackling bonfire with the cooling sea breeze, and how badly she wanted to curl herself around him and take in his everything. It wasn't just near her period. It was all the time.
It seemed like after the late-night/early-morning akuma attack she had nearly gone ahead and wrapped herself around him in her kitty hormone addled brain. God, he had smelled so good and her brain had still been fuzzy at the edges when he woke her up, but she had quickly gotten to her senses after he had looked a little panicked and she had noticed that she was detransformed.
She couldn't blame him for being panicked. If the situation was reversed she might have screamed and tossed him across the Seine.
"I'm… I'm so sorry, Luka," she said in her own panic. She looked off to the side and nervously played with the rose-gold ring on her right hand, wondering where Plagg had gone. She looked back at Luka when he blew out a relieved sigh.
"Hey, it was the akuma," he laughed. "You alright? Not hurt anywhere?"
"I'm alright, yeah," she answered, then suddenly frowned. Plagg, that little shit, what the hell was he doing? She found him laying on top of Luka's head, smiling a wide Cheshire cat smile.
"I don't know why the miraculous ladybugs didn't drop you off back home," Luka said, sounding like he was talking more to himself than to her. "Maybe it works differently for Mister Bug?"
Marinette could definitely fudge it and say that the Miraculous Ladybugs kinda… skipped her. "Haha, maybe I was too far from them?" Marinette forced a laugh.
Luka shrugged. "Still, I'm guessing you'd wanna go back home, right?"
Hmm, not really. And well, her ride back home was currently lounging in Luka's hair. She reached out a hand to try to catch Plagg but the kwami slipped out of her grasp. She ended up just… petting Luka. "Oh! S-sorry you had something in your hair," she said quickly, trying to cover up her embarrassment.
"Thanks?" He said, a deep blush rising up to his cheeks. He swept his hair back after Marinette reluctantly drew back her hand and for a long moment Marinette just stared. The younger Couffaines had a mild tendency to hide behind brightly colored bangs when they were feeling shy, but Luka had as much unconventional beauty packed in his features as Juleka did.
And Juleka could very well be a supermodel if she wanted.
"I'll give you a ride back on my bike. Is that alright?" He asked as his blush faded. He still looked a little nervous with his hand on the back of his neck.
"I'd love a ride," she said absently, another yawn overtaking her. Ugh, his bed was so warm and smelled so nice and she would most definitely like to ride him--ride with him, WITH him, WITH him. Yeah, she should go home now before she ruined everything.
At least, that had been the plan. They had gone down to the garage and chatted lightly after getting geared up one after the other, both more than thankful that Luka's roommate was dead asleep in the other room. The ride was smooth and relatively short so she hadn't been thinking about how she wanted to feel him under her the whole time, no, not at all. He parked nearby as her housing complex had like, no available spaces, and walked the block and a half to her apartment with her so she could get out of the borrowed gear without going barefoot in her pajamas.
As he was heading out with the spare gear over his arms, she stopped him. "Thanks for getting me home and… for everything. I'm… I'm glad I didn't end up anywhere else," Marinette said with a shy smile. She got up on her toes and kissed him on the cheek.
"No problem," he said slowly, mostly surprised with a blush creeping over his face. "See you later?"
She had a giant yawn escape her after she closed the door and started walking back to her bedroom. Plagg zipped out of her pajama pants pocket to float in front of her. "Yanno you kissed him on the mouth, right?" he snickered.
∴
Luka slowly leaned forward and rested his head against her door. Had she just kissed him? Had she just kissed him and he said "see you later" like a dumbass? He tried to stifle a groan and pressed his head harder into the door when the door swung open away from him with surprising speed. Three things worked against him as he tried to recover from stumbling forward: being caught off guard, his arms already carrying stuff that made him unbalanced, and gravity.
Good thing Marinette was there to break his fall. The bad thing was Marinette had some really amazing reflexes and honed self-defense skills because she guided his momentum into throwing him onto the floor, landing him on his back. She gasped, covering her mouth with her hands after realizing what she had done. "Oh my god! Luka are you okay?!"
"Don't know," he said, blinking up at the ceiling. He'd been dressed for the slide but definitely felt hit by a truck after she'd kissed him. "Probably," he said after a beat. "Was that an accident?"
"… Yeah, I don't usually throw you to the ground?" Marinette replied, confused.
"No, you kissed me."
She made a couple of noises that sounded like abortive starts at sentences. "I… guess I don't usually do that either," she ultimately sighed, pressing one delicate hand to her very red cheeks. She knelt down next to him and brushed his hair away from his eyes. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'll be okay if you kiss me again," he said, thinking he'd be able to get away with ha, just kidding if she wasn't into it but desperately hoping she would be. Something in her expression shifted and he almost felt his soul leave his body. He started propping himself up by his hands looking for the gear that got flung aside when he was pulled up the rest of the way to sitting by his jacket collar.
He got hit by another metaphorical truck. She pressed her lips to his, which was pretty great by itself but then it got more and intense and open and she unbuttoned his collar and zipped down his jacket. The temperature of the room instantly got stifling and he was sure part of his brain melted.
She pulled back a bit and they got a few breaths of air. He should have used that time to ask Can this be an every day thing but then she licked her lips and all coherent thoughts evaporated. He didn't notice that she successfully tugged his jacket off. Didn't feel it when he got pushed back down. Did notice when she sat on his lap and leaned forward to kiss him hard over and over again. He only heard the faintest buzz of his phone that had almost been drowned out by her tiny, breathy moans, and that had only sunk in and registered after she sat back up and growled at it.
She picked it up and nearly threw it against her couch except she caught a glimpse of something and said "Goddamn it."
It wasn't his finest moment. "Huh?"
"Akuma. Sorry, Luka!" She took his hands off of her ass and jumped up. Somehow she hauled him up to his feet and pushed him out the still opened door, pressing his jacket and phone into his hands. "I'll get the rest of the stuff to you later okay? I'm so sorry!"
"Wait. Hold on, what--" She cut him off by kissing him again, which was a surprisingly effective tactic.
"I'll meet you for lunch, but for now I gotta g--hide! Be safe! Sorry!" Then the door slammed shut.
The phone buzzed in his hand and he took a look at the notifications. They were all from his roommate, the bastard.

… Didn't the whole thing with akumas mean he should have stayed indoors? With her?
He wasn't sure he could sit on his bike comfortably for the next little while anyway.

Mister Bug swore almost every other akuma was some damned mind-control wizard. Of course it had to be one of those today, and of course today Lady Noire was especially pissed off so she was slightly more reckless than usual. Which was saying something, as Mister Bug had seen her go on a rampage not 8 hours ago and that had been one of the quickest akuma fights he'd ever seen. Seen and not participated in, as he'd been left nothing but cleanup.
Heatstroke or whatever had literally thrown the akumatized object at Lady Noire's feet after she had beaten and clawed the shit out of him. He was cowering in the relative security of a dumpster bin when Mister Bug found him.
She must have really loved her sleep. It'd been maybe 2am?
This latest akuma called herself the Directator. She'd been managing a movie set and of course something had gone wrong early in the day. So Hawky gave her the power to truly direct everything to her heart's desire or similar bullshit like that. Mister Bug and Lady Noire took maybe a few minutes to try to figure things out when Lady Noire skipped straight to the attack phase, beating Directator with the director's chair.
He should have noticed that she was ready to pounce when Lady Noire's ears were angled back and her electric green tail was whipping back and forth in a threatening fashion. She'd been way more actual-cat-like than he ever was as Chat Noir.
Directator panicked and commanded Lady Noire to 1) stop attacking her, 2) put the director's chair down gently, 3) be a nice kitty, 4) take off and go.
Mister Bug spent the next few minutes chasing after Lady Noire. When he finally caught up with her and stopped her, she put up her hands. He sighed with relief that she still wanted to work with him. He'd been relieved all up until she started slapping him with those hands and he fell back in surprise. She took off again.
It looked like she was heading in a particular direction so, after deciding to stay back a bit, Mister Bug trailed after her to see where she ended up. He didn't have to wait too long until she stopped running across the rooftops and dropped down to street level, where she seemed to chat up a dude in full riding gear next to a motorcycle. The next thing he saw was Lady Noire taking motorcycle guy by the waist and using her baton to propel them both to the roof of the tallest nearby building.
Maybe he should… do something about that? Especially since it seemed like Motorcycle Guy was screaming out a "what the fuuuuck".
Mister Bug went after them and found Motorcycle Guy sitting against the raised ledge of the building with Lady Noire curled up against him, sitting on his lap. Adrien coughed to hide and try to suppress his laughter. Motorcycle Guy raised his visor (oh hey, it was Luka) and asked "What's going on?"
Before Mister Bug could answer Lady Noire leapt up and stamped her foot in front of Adrien. "No! He's mine! Leave us alone!!" she hissed.
"I'm what?" Luka said incredulously.
Mister Bug backed up a few steps to placate her. "Yeah, okay," he chuckled. "You're being a nice kitty, right?"
She huffed and crossed her arms. "I'm always nice."
"You're right. So the nice kitty will let me talk to her friend for a minute, right? 'Cause you're such a nice Lady Noire?"
"Only a minute," she said unhappily. She was pouting.
"Great!" Mister Bug said cheerfully. He walked over to Luka and contemplated what to do on the way.

(Just a bit earlier)
Where had Marinette disappeared to? Luka had knocked several times after she shut him out but she didn't answer. He pressed his ear against the door to see if he could hear anything but it was dead silent on the other side. She wouldn't have made out with him and thrown him out like this and ghosted him… would she? It didn't seem like a Marinette thing. Not that he was an expert in all things Marinette… one day he'd like to see if she'd let him become one though.
He had loitered around her place for probably 20 minutes trying to convince himself to not break in and find out what happened. He'd have to respect her privacy and he did, really, but the last akuma attack magically teleported her to his someone else's bed and his thoughts were slowly spiraling into dangerous territory, where he imagined her ending up in Adrien's bed and her realizing she had better people than Luka to roll around under the bedcovers with.
Be cool, man, he thought at himself. Not going to help anyone if he suffered a mental breakdown. There might be a non-zero chance that she ended up back at his place? Okay that seemed too optimistic but… he should probably let his flatmate know he was fine and that he was heading back anyway.
He walked out to his bike after putting his jacket back on and unlocked the rear seat off to get to his helmet. He'd been ready to get back on the bike and ride off when he heard more than saw someone plunk down next to him. He turned and Lady Noire was looking directly at him. "Hi Luka," she said. "I need you."
"For the akuma?" He asked. Maybe he needed to be Viperion again? "Okay?" She rushed in and threw him over her shoulder, then they were a hundred meters in the air. "What the fuck?!"
He got plopped down against the ledge of the building and then she sat curled up on him. It might have been his imagination but… she was purring? This was… not making any sense at all. Luka saw Mister Bug land on the roof and the spotted hero managed to get Lady Noire off of him for a minute.
Mister Bug walked over and sighed before talking with Luka. That was a bad sign. "I'm sorry to have to ask this, but could you… stay with her until I can deal with this akuma? I just needed to know she's safe and in one place."
"… What?"
"Mind control akuma. Lady Noire's been hit with some weird commands." Mister Bug paused and looked thoughtful. "Hmm, I don't know, actually. Seems like she's just doing whatever she wants to outside of being ordered to leave the scene."
"Can't you fix that? Or… maybe get me out of here?"
"It'll be fixed after I deal with the akuma. I don't know if you noticed but Kitty here has been pretty extreme recently. Might be safer for everyone, including both me and you, if she's here and not ordered to Cataclysm anyone or anything." Mister Bug dropped his voice to a whisper. "Never thought she'd be a loose cannon. She might just attack me again so I'm not going to tempt fate if she just wants to hang out with you." Mister Bug shrugged at Luka. "Hey, greater good and all that. I promise I'll fix this as soon as I can. Take care of her, alright?"
"Hey wait--" "Bug out!"
Mister Bug up and left them. Shit. Lady Noire came walking back and looked over the edge of the building to make sure Mister Bug was gone. She sat back down next to Luka. "Okay, good, it's just us!" she beamed, hugging him.
"Uh," Luka started uncomfortably. "Not… to try to make things any weirder, but… could you get off of me?"
She pulled back, looking hurt. "You don't like me?"
"I… don't know who you are. I mean as a person, not a superhero." Luka tried to say that gently enough to not set her off. "I might like you if I got to know you?" He backtracked, feeling unsure. "But I mean, I'm just not great with the touching. I'm… into someone and it feels wrong to have someone else be this close."
Her ears flattened out to the side. "Who's that?" she asked, half sad and half… bitter? He felt like he just waded into turbulent waters. He didn't want to throw anyone under the Lady Noire murder bus, least of all Marinette.
"I'll tell you if you stay here," he compromised, hoping that he didn't just sign any death warrants. "Besides, you know her already. She usually chases after you."
"Alya?!" Lady Noire was shocked.
"No, Marinette? She always runs out to--"
"But I'm Marinette."
"… You. You're Marinette? Marinette Du--"
"Dupain-Cheng, yeah. That's me."
Oh. "… I thought you weren't supposed to tell anyone who you were?"
She snorted. "I can do whatever I want!" She leaned in closer. "So does this mean I can touch you again?"
∴
It was just a few moments shy of Mister Bug letting the ladybugs set everything back to normal, so he ignored the notification on his yo-yo from Lady Noire. He checked it after and saw one line: "Taking Luka home now! ;)" Oh boy. Well, she should be relatively okay now. Luka would be fine.
Hopefully…
∴
Lady Noire started whining and that whine turned into a full blown scream in the middle of dropping from the roof, just as the Miraculous Cure worked its magic over her. Luckily she still landed softly enough while she held onto Luka, so it wasn't that she had lost control or anything. She immediately jumped away from him after setting him on his feet.
"Oh my god I am so, so, so, so sorry Luka," she cried, covering her entirely red face with her hands.
"Thank god you're back to normal," Luka sighed, leaning back against the building.
"Any chance you could forget all that?" Lady Noire asked nervously, dropping her hands back to fiddle with her baton. She looked like she wanted to leave Earth as soon as she possibly could.
All that included him taking his helmet off, her crawling back into his lap and grinding herself against him, her ripping apart his jacket and shirt (they were fixed now), peppering him with kisses and tiny bites everywhere, and doing all of this while she was Marinette Dupain-Cheng underneath it all. He did his best to keep up and reciprocate but she was superpowered. She barely let him breathe but he survived. And he'd enjoyed it. He had enjoyed the hell out of it. But at the same time he had gotten thoroughly overwhelmed.
He didn't want to forget all that, but… "I can if you want me to," he sighed. She'd been mind-controlled, after all. "It was all the akuma, right?" Too bad. "What… about earlier?"
She opened her mouth to reply but inhaled too quickly and started coughing. "Um, I…" She coughed again. "Er. Um…" She bit her lip and looked down, muttering something to herself.

Goddamn it, Plagg. Plagg had mentally kicked her and the voice in her head said "Cat's already outta the bag, toots, you've been wanting to mount that guy for-e-ver. Don't you dare take it back." It startled her enough to cause her to choke on air.
"Um, I… Er. Um…" She kicked at the ground. She wanted this. She wanted this. No mind-influencing akuma had told her to kiss him, that had been completely her. "No, don't… don't forget anything. I wanted all that," she sighed. "It was all me."
He raised his helmet visor to get a better look at her. "Are you sure?"
She nodded and looked back up at him. "I'm sure. I… kinda want to continue, too?"
It sounded like he choked. "I… wouldn't mind that."
She glanced back at her apartment a few blocks away. "See you in a few?"
∴
(Some time later)
Luka hadn't completely gotten used to waking up with someone else in bed. He wasn't sure if he ever would, since every time he woke up next to Marinette it'd been nothing short of amazing and he'd felt like he was dreaming but no, she was actually there.
Occasionally he'd have to deal with waking up in the middle of the night because she'd leave for patrol, or had come back from it to snuggle back into his arms. It wasn't really a problem because they were together in the morning.
He didn't really miss waking up alone.

ML Sweet-ember day 1
My top 10 list of episodes! They’re not in any particular order but these are the 10 episodes I enjoy most in the show and why.
1. Heart Hunter
Aka the episode that made me sell my soul to Adrigaminette. It’s just...perfect to highlight how well the three of them work together, and it’s got Adrien and Kagami having fun, and Marinette with her hair down, and I just love love to rewatch it whenever I’m down because of these three idiots.
2. Sapotis
Look!!! At how!!! Ecstatic!!! She is!!!
This episode is basically Alya’s time to shine and I love it, I love her, and I always go back and rewatch it when I want to be cheered up because it’s so SOFT.
3. Anansi
HE LOVES ALYA SO MUCH LOOK HOW DETERMINED HE IS TO SAVE HER I’M 🥺🥺
And she just??? Figured it out??? Right away??? This is THE DJWiFi episode for me and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve rewatched it for the softness.
4. Oblivio
“No wonder I fell in love with you.”

THEY WORK SO FLUIDLY TOGETHER EVEN WITHOUT THEIR MEMORIES AND ESSENTIALLY ON A BLANK SLATE JSDFBSKDJFSD
5. Stormy Weather
The animation is just...GORGEOUS. So crisp and fluid! And the banter between Ladybug and Chat Noir! If anyone insists that Ladybug secretly hates Chat, this is the episode I aggressively point to. And Marinette’s fumbling awkardness! And as one of the very first episodes, it’s just so...nostalgic. A true feel-good episode.
6. Gorizilla
THE ADRINETTE!!!! AND LADRIEN!!!! WE WERE SO SPOILED THIS EPISODE!!!!
Adrien trusting Ladybug to save him! 🥺 And figuring out how to keep his identity a secret! 🥺 And running around Paris and then disguising themselves! 🥺 And the role reversal of Adrien of the damsel in distress kidnapped by the giant monster! 🥺 This episode is just AAAAAAAAA
7. Origins (parts 1 and 2)
THE UMBRELLA SCENE JKSHKSDJFHDSJKFSHFSDJKFSDHJK
Okay, it’s totally not cheating to smush them together, because it’s essentially one episode cut in two! Just...seeing how these two idiots fell for each other! How it wasn’t love at first sight but rather flawed first impressions that they had to work past! Chat Noir being there for Ladybug right from the very start! The unstoppable team! It’s pretty much a sin not to include this on the list.

8. Ikari Gozen
RYUUUUUUUUKKKKKOOOOOOOOO
I’ve heard complaints that this made Marinette look like a bitch but actually? It showed her flaws in a really good way, like the lengths she’ll go to be with Adrien, and it wasn’t inconsistent with past moments she’s had. She’s a kind precious bean, yeah, but she’s only human, not some amazingly perfect queen that some people make her out to be.
And it delved deeper into Kagami’s psyche too! I know there was a lot of hate for Kagami before this episode for being a bitchy Ice Queen, but I had faith in her and this episode delivered. And it’s what truly kickstarted my belief that she’s autistic (like me!!!!) because I just...resonated with her. Having to use apps to make friends? At this point, I’m close to it.

9. Startrain
BABIES 🥺
The sleeping scene will always kick me in the gut just as hard the first time. And Alya showing that she’s got Marinette’s back, contrary to what people think! And Max becoming a superhero! And seeing him with his mother! I just...AAAAAA
10. Dark Cupid
Only love 🥺 can conquer 🥺 hate 🥺 And the poem!!!!!
There’s not much I can say beyond this being a super feel-good episode and keyboard smashing tbh. It speaks for itself.

The Pharaoh: aka the start of Alya being the damsel in distress and she’s already so done with it and it really shows the Ladyblog for the first time and I just love her to bits
Gamer: seeing their teamwork 🥺 And Max deserves a whole lot of love too! Not many people would openly accept their defeat and then walk away to process their emotions, rather than exploding and taking them out on others.
The Dark Owl: seeing how much they trust each other 🥺
Troublemaker: “Are you lying to me?” 😏
Chat Blanc: seeing what could have been 🥺 It just hurts too much to truly rewatch and make it into the top 10

Swapped Identities
“Hey, guys,” Ladybug begins, clasping her hands together. “I called you all today because Chat and I had been considering something.”
Rena, Carapace, and Queen Bee exchange questioning looks. Chat speaks up.
“As you all know, we all have kwamis, and Ladybug and me have swapped ours before. As a group ‘bonding’ activity, Bug said that we could switch them for a bit.”
They exchange smiles, and Ladybug looks on with approval. The team had been getting closer in the past year since the duo had given the three of them their kwamis permanently. However, they were still a bit wary of each other because technically, they were still competitors.
“How are we going to swap our kwamis without looking at each other?” Rena asks.
“Good question. We decided that we’d do it in pairs?” Chat says, looking at Ladybug for confirmation.
“Cool,” Carapace says. “Can me and Rena go first?”
“Sure,” Ladybug says, “but don’t swap. One of you give your kwami to the other, then pass it on to someone else.. if you catch my drift.”
“Yeah,” they say. They go behind the building, and three flashes of light later, Carapace comes back wearing Rena’s suit.
Chat stifles a laugh. Ladybug glares. “You look cute, Cara!”
“Yeah, if cute’s what you’d call a deranged caterpillar too,” Queen Bee snarks. Carapace, or rather, Renard’s, costume is akin to Rena’s: it has an orange base and white center, but it’s covered in a weird mix of fur and fuzz. His tail is absurdly fluffy, and he has smaller ears than Rena’s.
Renard flushes. “I panicked when Trixx asked me what I wanted my costume to look like, okay?”
Queen Bee just shrugs and makes a noise of contempt. “Anyways, I’m going next. Rena! Give me Carapace’s miraculous,” she orders.
“Not until you ask nicely, Queenie,” Rena says from behind the wall. “Also when you say it like that, you sound like Hawkmoth. ‘Give me your Miraculous’,” she says, mocking him.
Queen Bee laughs, and then she takes the miraculous that Rena hands her. She walks over to another section of wall on the rooftop. Two flashes later, Queen Bee walks out as Vivaneau. She struts out, overdramatically. She looks good, and no one can deny it.
Her costume is a green suit with varying shades of green on the bodice. She has aviator-style glasses perched on her head and the shell isn’t on her back; instead, it sits on her hip. She walks like she’s on a runway and her team members all clap for her, playing along.
“Whoo, nice, Queenie!” Chat says, whistling with his fingers loudly. She turns and faces him.
“There is no more Queen Bee. There is only,” she says with exaggerated flair, “Vivaneau.”
Ladybug claps for her. Carapace fake-swoons. Rena watches from the shadows.
Chat takes Queen Bee’s miraculous when offered to him, and he transforms, too.
His costume is identical to Queen Bee’s, down to the black swirl in his hair. The only difference is that he has pockets, much to the annoyance of Vivaneau. “You can call me… Frelon!”
“Nice, Chat,” Ladybug says drily, “now I have to wear your miraculous.”
He winces and stops his strutting. “Oops? But if we change now then it’ll be so much work…”
Ladybug sighs. “Whatever, just give me yours. Rena, I’ll give you mine in a second.”
She transforms into Lady Noire in a few seconds. Then, handing her earrings to Rena, she does a flip.
“Do another!” Frelon calls. She does a double flip, just to show off. Rena comes out a moment later, and her costume is similar to the original one, but she added wings.
Lady Noire frowns at Coccinelle. “Hey, that’s not fair. How come you get wings and I don’t?”
Cochinelle just smirks. “Guess I’m just a little luckier than you are.”
Frelon beams and high-fives her enthusiastically. “Yes!”
Vivaneau sighs heavily and face-palms.
“Do you guys wanna race to see who can get to the Eiffel Tower first? Last one has to buy hot chocolate for a week!” she asks, and before anyone can respond, she’s already sprinting.
Frelon calls after her. “Hey, that’s not fair!”
The rest of the team already started sprinting, and Chat was left in the dust.
“Guys!” he says as he realizes that he has to sprint like a normal person. Renard looks over his shoulder to see Frelon catching up.
“This is what happens when you spend too much time talking!” he says, and then he plays his flute as he continues to run.
The buildings in front of Frelon start changing, and the landscape looks completely different.
“Hey! That’s not fair, Renard! You can’t just use your powers!”
“Bug never said we couldn’t!”
Frelon closes his eyes, and continues running. He knew every inch of the city like the back of his hand, and he wasn’t going to let some illusion mess up his chances of winning.
Meanwhile, Cocchinelle hits Vivaneau on the head with her yo-yo; after all, all’s fair in love and war, right?
Lady Noire sits on the top of the tower, watching her teammates bicker over winning.
Vivaneau knocks Cocchinelle out with her shield, and then sprints ahead. However Cocchinelle’s nothing if not a fighter. She summons her lucky charm, and it turns out to be a grappling hook. She thanks Tikki for the easy solution.
She swings toward the Tower and when she’s close enough, she chucks the hook all the way up.
“Take that, Viva! You lose!” She says as she scales the rope with amazing speed. She plops down next to Lady Noire, who looks on the rest with amusement.
Vivaneau pouts as she sits down next to the pair, a few minutes later.
Renard and Frelon fail, and they climb up the tower with defeated looks. Frelon finishes the climb a moment after Renard.
“I believe you owe us hot chocolate?” Vivaneau says to Frelon.
He sighs, and turns on the kitten eyes. “But I don’t have any money!”
They laugh as Lady Noire pulls a wad of cash from his pocket.
“Go!”
He returns with five steaming hot mugs less than ten minutes later. “Lemme just tell you, this was a real hassle to bring up here without spilling, especially with Bee’s power. If I had my baton I could’ve done it in half the time.”
Lady Noire coos at him mockingly. “Aww, did the little baby have a hard time without his superpowers?”
“Yes, actually,” he says, dropping his head to lay down in her lap. They toast to him, clinking their glasses together.
Their glasses are found by a very confused Eiffel Tower janitor.
