I’ve never mentioned his family or upbringing before but he’s from a wealthy family. His parents are hospital equipment salespeople. They’re nice people with four kids.
They went to an international private school + university so Andre is fluent in English with a Spanish accent.
It goes:
Eldest daughter, 26: Lives in San Francisco and goes to design school. Has a popular YouTube channel.
Andre, 25: lives away from home. Only visits on holidays. They think he’s depressed and naturally a bit of an asshole, but he turned out OK.
Middle daughter, 22: Lives at home. Very smart. Very shy. Studying to be a veterinarian.
Youngest son, 13: accident baby. EMO. Going through the same rebellious phase that Andre did, so now everyone is overcompensating by giving him too much attention. He just wants to play Pokemon Go and Minecraft in peace.

Dadneto is getting more cringe every other day.
Seriously the AXIS retcon and Marvel’s obsession to make Magnus family still a thing leads to all kinds of shit writing.(Not really in this particular case but still I don’t like the word used here.) I don’t mind Joseph’s writing here but seriously calling Magneto that is weird.
Because they lose the bloodties, now Marvel needs other justifications to still sell them as a family. To the point they need to conjure none-existent family affections for them(cough Trial of Magneto where Wanda acted like a timid teenage girl).
Let’s call Magneto Wanda’s adoptive father even though dude never raised her, unless you count being a shitty ex-boss as being a parent. Not to mention she actually had adoptive parents, you know the ones where the Maximoff name came from? Django who stared down the face of an Elder God and saved his daughter, and Marya who is actually still alive in Robinson’s Scarlet Witch run. But let’s make Erik and Wanda play wholesome daddy and his little girl and pretend they had this nice family relationship and quietly erase those who actually loved and cared for the twins because Magneto is the far more popular character right? Why don’t we replace Uncle Ben with Tony Stark while we are at it?
Can we just restore the blood ties and make them estranged biological family again? I like Wanda better when she took her allegiance and affection seriously.
And as much as I love Wanda for being a sentimental person, writers’ constant mishandling of her family relationship just makes me wish she is more of a stonehearted bitch who doesn’t give a damn.

OK so I have a anime planet list of transmasc manga but since anime planet doesn't have every manga that features a transmasc in it, I'll be putting it here! This is specifically transmasc cuz A. I am transmasc and B. if I tried to name every manga with a transfem this post would be too long, if u want good resources on how to look for trans characters in manga I'd recommend checking the transgender character tag in baka updates manga!

The final chapter just came out so now's a good time to read it! It's sweet, not the best tbh (very simplistic and the story is kind of boring) but it's a wholesome slice of life

I (personally) don't like Boys run the Riot BUT it does the job! It's nice, the themes are a bit heavy handed and it makes some....shitty ass points but hey I'll take any representation !

Hamster and Gretel, oh boy..
Now we are gonna move past the unforgivable and horrendous act of this series being greenlit and given a second season immediately over giving us more Murphy's Law which, unless this show proves it's worth, I will not be forgiving anytime soon, but anyway let's talk about the actual show itself.
It's honestly not that bad. The more I watch it the more I find myself enjoying Gretel and Kevin's relationship and of course Kevin is the TRUE protag of the story (no one will convince me otherwise, we all know it's true), his character is PEAK. I genuinely like the songs, hamster is amazing and Fred is a MOOD. I like the concept of an alien species giving someone powers and then also creating villains for them to fight as well. It's actually a pretty cool concept and makes you wonder what is more at play here. I also LOVE the songs, as usual Dan's shows produce hella bangers. I also love the relationships and dynamics between all the characters.
HOWEVER
I like that they made Kevin the center focus but I'm gonna be frank, I DO NOT like Gretel as a character (so far, this is obviously subject to change as the series goes on). First of all Gretel's face makes me hella uncomfortable everytime I take a second to look at her. Her smile doesn't have any emotional weight behind it so it loses all meaning (with her character in general being as bland as white bread with no crusts, but I do respect the accurate ADHD they added to her character) and on top of that her smile is so unnaturally wide and her eyes are so big and she sticks out like a sore thumb amongst her friends and family to the point it feels uncomfortable. I get they wanted to make her overly cute but that's less cute and more reaching into uncanny valley.
Milo's wholesome smile and character was optimistic and cute, so was Isabella's, even their pets. But Gretel? I'm sorry but it looks like she is staring into my ever waking soul and plotting my demise as we speak. I'm a younger sister myself and I understand where they were going with her character, believe me, but OH MY GOD can she GRIND MY GEARS sometimes with her character and choices.
They made such a good realistically optimistic and calm yet still remorseful and caring character when it came to Milo, they treated it all with care and gave his gentle smile towards his shitty situation so much weight but with Gretel they made her optimism intentionally over the top with no other parts of her character aside from her having ADHD and nothing else, along with the fact she normally succeeds in nearly everything she does, and rarely ever see her need or try to fix mistakes she'd made on her own, and all this makes it to the point that she just feels- soulless to me and I don't like it. It rubs me the wrong way. I love the ADHD representation but they could've done a hella a lot better with her character as a whole, especially with her being a character meant to represent and inspire others.
I stand by what I said that people need to stop treating optimistic characters in media as a bad thing and projecting their issues onto them, but it's a different story when you have a character who is completely hollow and only has an over the top amount of optimism to the point it becomes boring and diminishing because that's all they are. I'm sorry but her character, to me, is like the embodiment of a children's song that is so repetitive you wanna replace your ears with cotton balls.
This show has so much potential and I love so SO many things about it, but they still have A LOT of work to do, especially with one of the heroines of the story. Here's to hoping season 2 will, hopefully, be better than the first one and they'll patch some things up at bit.
And no, her being a little sister doesn't justfy her character as in both pnf and mml they main characters were younger siblings and they were not like this, at all.

The irony of this is
Dutch haters are far more toxic than Micah fan base in fact I in all honesty have not come across one microfan that I have actually dislike. And I hate Micah I cannot stand him as a character and nothing will ever change that. I do love his voice actor and there is one picture of Micah I like. Other than that the fact that Dutch haters are more toxic than Micah fan base really does say a lot about you. A majority of RDR fan base is toxic as hell and you're the main ones who cause trouble in Mayhem and then try to make it look like we're the ones being Troublemaker Just because we're Dutch apologist. I never thought that I would say this I would rather be around a Micah fan at this point than to be around the rest of you. So when y'all say we deserve to get blocked or blocked us I don't give a fuqk. What am I missing out on? Most of y'all have crap content most of y'all come up with shit scenarios and lore and theories regarding the entire rdr. Y'all don't have a creative bone in your body's half of you steal from other content creators and then think that we've lost something by you threatening to block us are thinking it's wholesome to block us we don't give a fuck and I think I've made a post like this before not caring. I haven't posted anything in weeks and when I come back here a fellow friend of mine's is dealing with toxic Dutch haters. Y'all can say what you want to about Dutch but we're not the one causing trouble or bring it all the toxicity in the community y'all are. But go off.

So, I'm gonna lay here on the floor and think about how Tawan probably betrayed Kinn with a lot of fancy words and flowers and "baby" and then there's Porsche.
He's never been in love before, he doesn't know what he's doing, other than the sex part, he isn't suave at all like he is with the ladies, instead he's cute and bumbling on himself and he plans this date but he goes into full caretaker mode because caretaking is the deepest love/way to show affection he knows.
Not only that but he wants to go on this date to make memories. This is when we started. I didn't really see anyone talk about it but this is a character who specifically has memory gaps, so of course he would want photos and things to remind him of their first date. He wants things he can look at and recall how happy they were because he has so few of those and what if he suddenly loses that again? He has a very specific stake in wanting to have trinkets and reminders of things that are important to him.
That to me is the biggest show of Porsche's love, his want/need to keep Kinn because he's never really felt like anyone was his. He's just borrowing them and he has to give them back or they were never his in the first place.
Porsche is the definition of a giver, an empath (hypertuned to Chay; can't even turn it off for his shitty uncle), he's always experiencing life at warp speed with every single emotion to him happening at once but Kinn is the first time he slows and reaches out and takes this man's hand and says, I want him to be mine. I want his soft smiles, i want to snuggle in bed and walk hand in hand, arms wrapped around each other soft.
Kinn for Porsche is the ability to stop time and breathe, so it's no coincidence we see them in the water. Even when he's afraid, Kinn sitting him down and talking over his fears lets him breathe. Lets him calm down and feel more centered on himself.
I said about Porsche's wiggle feet (contact grounding him) but in truth it's Kinn's whole person. We see it in ep7 when he comes to see Porsche at the minor family's house. Sure, Porsche is cocky about dick, which is fun, but Kinn takes them to that soft space, the space where they breathe and everything calms and everything slows. When Porsche is justifiably angry from being hurt by Kinn and replaying his own barb, Kinn holds him in the frame of his arms, just breathe, until everything rights itself.
Porsche doesn't realize it, and maybe Kinn doesn't either that he himself is doing it, but he's making Kinn home in the form of a person. Somewhere where Porsche can feel safe, loved, taken care of. He's placing importance on someone outside of his family unit for the first time ever. He's building a future with a past of photos for the first time ever.
And he does all of it without words. He doesn't make it flowery, doesn't make up some bullshit. He just feels it with his good, honest heart. I know words are important and have a lot of value and both of them need to hear it like a metaphorical gush of water through a valve, oh, you love me, but Porsche's love is so much more than that. He is showing and experiencing love in so many different ways without words because words won't/can't make people stay. It can't keep them with you if it's time for them to leave. Porsche takes none of it for granted.
IDK, I just know that there isn't a purer best boy out there falling in love so innocently and wholesomely.

Imagine if the reader has met Rick since S1 and after Lorri died they got closer and after they thought they were safe in the prison they ended up getting really close one night and after the prison fell they were separated and left on awkward terms so when they saw each other again ( say reader was with Judith and Carol) and didn't come out the same time Judith came out bc she was shot in her arm or stabbed or like burned from the fire so she has a bandage and after a minute she walks out and gives like Carl or Michonne the baby and runs to her and is all worried and later when they get so safety and is a house tells her what happened and thay since the moment he saw her he's loved her but felt like it was so wrong and they kissed but he was afraid to do more but she's still hurt but not as bad and he doesn't want to ruin anything lady repair but reader is like please Rick I want it or I want/ need you and maybe in the end he thinks reader is sleeping and tells her that he loves Reader and can't live without her and maybe in the morning when their both awake she says it back and he just looks at her awe bc this is just a fairytale ( also that Carl had said before that he loves Reader and hinted that he wants her apart of the family so maybe he walks in and sees them kissing or over hears her saying that she loves Rick and just absolutely goes Ferrell with happiness) just a thought

Having so much luck in a situation he was forced to live in makes me cry so ugly 😭
He definitely deserved EVERYTHING good and confessing his love without intending to get a response is so wholesome (and suits him sadly well) 😫
Like he wasn't even aware that he could get this kind of love back...he's always so focused on everyone but himself 👉🏼👈🏼💗

Hey there. Thank you so much for putting this out. I know it’s difficult, but believe me I understand. As a follow mha fan who has severe mental health problems and difficult family issues, DFO has always been like my safe haven.
I’ve gone through so much loss and trauma during the last 2 years and even failed 2 uni courses which took me months to get over the shock. I was introduced to mha when Covid started and it’s been my emotional support pillar ever since.
It’s a small community, but the DFO art, posts and fanfics have just helped me so much by giving me something to lean on and appreciate. I love the characters and how wholesome they are together. Just knowing DFO might not happen because of the recent chapters has really put me in a shitty spot. I was so confident about it too (Like after all that evidence you can’t seriously tell me it’s not true). It sounds so dumb and weird but to me it’s so hard and upsetting knowing that it might not happen and my comfort character (AFO) will end up dying.
I have exams this week, the chapter was the one thing I was hoping would help my sanity yesterday. Hori absolutely deserves a break, but I felt my soul twist when I heard it was a 2 week break. The ONE thing I look forward to.
I’m glad to know I’m not the only one feeling this way, neither are you. At the end of the day, even if DFO doesn’t happen, we still have this community and all the posts and past fan arts to look back at. I’m not in a good spot and I don’t mean to be hypocritical, but please keep on going, things will get better. I want you to keep a little bit of your hopes up, you never know what Hori will come up with. If you ever need support there is always someone who understands here for you to lean on and talk to. 🙏🏻

Moreover i have crisis in my faith now. No matter that i ask in praying things got worse. I asked for my cat , for my finance, for my job, for my new job. Nothing will happen or things getting worse . So i decided one day to pray for DFO reveal and MHA. (THIS SOUND RIDICULOUS I KNOW) Maybe this ridiculous request will e fulfilled and now it got much worse. I am really upset now and fear to pray.

y’all really took Umbrella Academy season 2 for granted and I bet you’re regretting it now that we’ve all lived through the clusterfuck that was season 3
Luther was smack in the middle of a realistic and well written “redemption” arc (redemption in quotes because he was never really a villain in the first place). The Allison/Luther bullshit was firmly behind us and we got to see him FINALLY being pissed at Reggie which was so satisfying.
We got to see Diego’s softer side in his relationship with Lila but we also got to see him being a capable badass at the Commission. And the HAIR. 🥵🥵🤯🥹
God I miss season 2 Allison. I miss her so much. She deserves to have a wholesome, supportive relationship and the character development of her living a life that she EARNED was so satisfying. I still wish we’d gotten to see the aftermath of her injury a little more but it was nice to watch the flashback where she and Ray fell in love. (Raymond Chestnut my beloved you will always be famous)
I know we all like to clown on Klaus’ cult storyline and how dismissive he was of Ben but I see Season 2 Klaus as a necessary waypoint for him to get to a better, more well adjusted place. Recovery isn’t linear and I think Klaus did need to hit a few more rock bottoms before he got there. He was also such a sympathetic character, dealing with loss and the long avoided consequences of his actions. And yeah, the Ben/Klaus beef came kinda out of nowhere but it was realistic for Ben to start to resent Klaus after 15 years of putting up with his bullshit nonstop. At least it was more realistic than whatever happened with Viktor and Allison in S3.
Five was just Five. He’s always Five. But I feel like he was peak Five in season 2. The paradox psychosis episode? His conflict with Viktor? The Five-Luther-Elliot-Diego-Lila bonding time? We got to see him be closed off and hyper focused but somehow still bonding with his siblings.
Ben 🥺 Ben 😢 Benjamin Jessica Hargreeves 😔 I miss you so much you were so kind and loyal and supportive and sassy and hot and I don’t understand why they brought you back if you were just going to be a shell of your regular self. we love you we miss you thank you for your sacrifice.
And don’t even get me started on Season 2 Viktor. God, what a badass. I think giving him temporary amnesia was a really good choice because he got to be free from the anxiety and guilt of everything that had happened at the Academy. And then we got to watch him evolve into the badass that he is and give the middle finger to token homophobe Carl and the entire FBI. Sexy of him.
And the new characters????? Listen Sloane is cool and all but she will never be Lila or Sissy or Ray. Also cutting The Handler was a shitty decision. She was such a good villain and I miss her.
It’s also funny to me that S2’s definition of family bonding was the salon scene and S3’s definition was Klaus getting thrown into traffic by his abusive father.
And the aesthetic was so good?? It was bright and colorful but still felt like The Umbrella Academy, which I’m sorry but season 3 did not.
Anyway thank you for letting me scream into the void. I’m gonna go rewatch season 2 and pretend that season 3 had no impact on canon. Hargreeves Siblings I love you all and I’m sorry they replaced you all with inconsistent cardboard cutouts. Goodnight and god bless.

Combing through every single episode of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous for Yasammy moments to write meta analysis about part 10, the final part in this post series T^T (master post with all the parts)
I love Yaz and Sammy's relationship so much because they've been through so much together and grown together and they've been close for a long time, they have established a bond of mutual caring and maintaining each other's safety but now they get to be giddy together, they've established a rapport complete with banter and inside jokes, based on Sammy's confused reaction when Brooklyn asked her about crushes and Yaz's phrasing of, "I've had crushes on boys before" I don't think either of them has dated before so this is something new they get to experience and explore together (and for once it's something positive they get to experience), they're both so excited to be affectionate and say the word girlfriend out loud (which is honestly adorable and reminds me a lot of being in relationships when I was a youngin and had just recently come to terms with my queerness)
There's a lot of freedom for them now that they have confessed their feelings to each other, like when Sammy takes Yaz's hands and says, "My girlfriend" or when Yaz is so overcome by Sammy's big heart that she just has to kiss her cheek and she doesn't even hesitate, it's only when they're worried about upsetting Darius and Brooklyn that they feel the need to hold back, I don't know if I'll ever be over how cute it is that they come up with a secret code to flirt with each other on the down low or the fact that they are snapping back and forth to each other the whole time they are walking back into the service tunnel
I love how supportive the whole Camp Fam is about Yaz and Sammy getting together, Darius and Brooklyn are literally like, "No, you guys are adorable together and seeing that makes this shitty situation that much more bearable" and I love that
I would like to point out that when Kenji comes back to the group, Yaz looks to Sammy before she gives Kenji that hard stare, which suggests that she is more worried about how Sammy will react and/or how Sammy felt about Kenji leaving in the first place, that look says, "You hurt Sammy and if you upset her right now you'll have to deal with me" but she softens immediately when Sammy goes to hug Kenji, she's even quick to jump in with, "It's me, I'm the girlfriend" when Sammy tells Kenji about their relationship (side note: that interaction is so cute it makes me happy scream)
I find it really interesting that Yaz calls Sammy Sam in the scene where they are wrangling the baby dinos, I don't think we've ever heard another character call her Sam before and I kind of like the headcanon that this would be something Yaz calls her occasionally and she's the only one who does it
Also, I like the way that Yaz and Sammy cling to each other for safety and comfort even more now, Yaz also looks to Sammy for comfort when they're having that conversation about leaving the dinosaurs, they hold hands and put their arms over each other so much now and it makes my gay heart very happy, even during the reunion scene with their parents on the dock they hold hands for comfort while they come out to their parents (I love their reactions too, the support is real in this show)
I would also like to point out that while Yaz hugs Roxie, Sammy comes up to hug Yaz instead of going to one side to hug Roxie directly
Can we talk about how Yaz and Sammy are still together after the time skip? Like, Yaz is staying with Sammy's family in Texas and touring colleges there, which sets up the idea that they'll probably go to college together and/or live together during college and I love that for them, Sammy teaching Yaz how to lasso? Adorable and wholesome
Mushy conclusion: I predicted some things in earlier posts which have proven to be canonically true or likely so that's cool but I can't express with words how deeply happy I am that Yaz and Sammy really ended up together, maybe it's because I'm an old-timer in the shipping game who remembers queer ships in cartoons only ever being subtext and headcanons (until Korrasami) but I still genuinely feel so fortunate every time I get to experience one of my ships becoming canon, I'm glad that today's queer kids get to grow up with cartoons like this, I'm really sad the show's over but I'm so incredibly happy it exists

miss harapeveco since we are in the topic of anime pls drop some recommendations I don’t have anything to watch
Omg oks so I have a very shitty taste in anime so this will be a very disappointing list but the ones I mostly recommend are:
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun: literally every scene is funny and iconic, it also invented m/f yaoi don’t ask it makes sense
Owari no Seraph: I mean this very unironically this anime fucking sucks but in a good way like nothing is ever explained, nothing makes sense and they gaslight you into believing the main boys are gonna be endgame by showing you a homoerotic scene of blood drinking. Just roll with it and don’t ask questions it’s better that way
The Persona 3 movies and the Persona 4/5 anime: the movies are really good they did a good job condensing +80 hours of gameplay in 4 movies (except the third movie but we don’t talk about that). Now when it comes to the persona 4 anime you can tell they didn’t give a shit that thing is just 24 episodes full of jokes and comedy the game wishes it had holy shit it’s really funny for no reason. The persona 5 anime is more complex in the sense that it’s very unwatchable if you go to it expecting something good. It’s bad it’s very bad it’s poorly animated and rushed and it’s just borderline unwatchable but it is really funny if you wanna have a good laugh about how bad something is I recommend it
Osomatsu-san: the first episode of the first season being yeeted into oblivion bc it was very much illegal to show all of it makes it worth it. Keep in mind this is an adult show (even if it doesn’t look like it) so there’s a lot of crude humor and sex jokes but all the characters are such trashy people I like to see them suffer
Kiss him not me: if you are a shipper this one is for you. Basically the MC is a yaoi obsessed fan girl who wants to see her classmates date each other yaoinly but they want to date her instead
ID Invaded: really good anime with a really good mystery and plot! Main character did everything wrong but I still love him also Sou did the opening for it
Happy sugar life: very fucked up horror about a high schooler in love with a literal child but it doesn’t go like you think it goes, they don’t portray it as romantic or cute they very much portray it as the fucked up thing it is and how wrong it is. It’s good if you like feeling unsettled and like to watch things go from 0 to 100 real fast
The promised neverland: amazing series with an amazing mystery and atmosphere! It’s a shame it only has one season tho I hope they make a second season of it in the future but it’s a shame it only has one
Dr stone: it has science, it’s horny, you have over the top characters, what more do you want
Natsume book of friends: you love to cry? You wanna cry after watching every single episode? Ofc you do! This shit will hit you in the gut so hard you will never recover. A beautiful story about acceptance, platonic love, found family and yokai with the best and most realistic character development I’ve ever seen
Gegege no Kitaro: this one is very broad bc no kidding this anime gets a new adaptation every decade. There’s a 60s version, a 70s version, an 80s version, a 90s version, a 2007 version, a 2008 version that is more adult and follows the manga and a 2018 version too if you like recent stuff more. Most of these are lost media tho good luck trying to find any version that is not the 2018 one. I forgot about the plot of it yeh uhhh basically a kid ghost is a medium between humans and yokai but he mostly play favorites with the yokai and sometimes fucks the humans over so idk if he’s really a medium, he’s very biased about it
The dangers in my heart: I talked about this one before but I’m talking about it again idc. Really cute and wholesome the MC is kinda horny but he’s like 14 boys at that age are pretty horny we have to stop pretending they aren’t. The first 3 episodes are so cringe they are very painful to watch but if you can go through them you will witness what I think it’s the cutest romance after horimiya. I don’t usually read manga bc I have the attention span of a rock but even I did a binge read of it bc it was just so good
King’s game: edgier than shadow the hedgehog 2006, it’s painfully bad like I can’t even begin to explain how horrible this anime is but good lord it made me laugh all the way through
Chuubyo gekihatsu boy: one of the main characters is a catboy called Rei Tsukumo and another character is a cringe Utaite what more can I say? It’s just dumb cringe kids being dumb as fuck for 12 episodes and you know what? It’s very good at it
Horimiya: just watch it for the love of god just watch it
Sasaki to Miyano: you have miyano who is like “I wonder if I’m gay??? I’m not sure???” While he reads gay manga and straight up imagines himself kissing his guy friend in the mouth like bestie COME ON
Thats all the anime I can think of the top of my head, well adding anime classics like fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, haikyuu, my hero academia (I only follow it bc the Todoroki family drama is the only thing well written in it), dragon ball (not dragon ball z bc as much as I like it I prefer dragon ball and the cutesy adventure aesthetic it has) and ofc how to forget sonic x

I love talking about my favorite stories so I don't mind at all!
It's Time to Change the Genre - A woman transmigrates into a revenge novel as the negligent aunt of the protagonist. She vows to take care of her nephew until the plot begins, but then all of a sudden he refuses to leave her behind.
Currently this is the one I'm following closest! It's got great characters and they're all hilarious. There's prominent romance, yes, but it doesn't overshadow the family content, which I like. A good draw to this one, I think, are the twists, which I did admittedly spoil for myself. If I hadn't, I don't know that I would have kept reading, but I still do very much like it. Also, the art is gorgeous!
Endo and Kobayashi's Live Commentary on the Villainess - Two high schoolers stan the tsundere villainess of an otome game. One day their voices are heard by the main love interest, the prince, and from there they try to give commentary of the game to give the misunderstood villainess a happy ending and make sure everyone comes out of the plot alive.
This is a good read for when you just want something non-stressful. Tsundere characters can be questionable, but I love Lise. I found the ending of the webnovel to be a bit lackluster, but overall it was enjoyable and I like to reread it on occasion when I want to feel good. I think the romance was also fairly well-done, and the side romance also has pretty fantastic moments. Plus, it's getting an anime soon! Very excited for that.
Roxana / The Way to Protect the Female Lead's Older Brother - FL transmigrates into an R18 reverse harem novel as a daughter of the cruel, bloody family that captured and killed the heroine's older brother. In order to save her own life, she becomes the older brother's "owner" while she devises a way to set him free.
Okay. So this one is a bit of a doozy and I cannot, in good conscience, talk about it without warning. Trigger warnings include: body horror, self-harm, death, torture, mentioned rape, drugs, captivity, I think implied incestuous feelings (which FL does not return but does use to her advantage), and probably other things that I'm forgetting. This one is not for the faint of heart.
That being said, I love it. I love fucked up women in fucked up situations. The FL was a normal girl who was forced to become cruel in order to survive and it's terrible, but wonderfully done. I mentioned the incest (ugh) in the warnings but she does have one sibling who loves her as a sister in a normal, platonic way and I actually really love their relationship! Again, only read this if you're prepared for it, but I like it a lot for when I'm interested in reading something just, completely fucked.
I Became the Hero's Mom - FL adores the protagonist of a certain novel and transmigrates into a time when he's still a child, long before the novel begins. She supports him as his biggest fan from afar, but ends up getting the attention of his father, who assumes her attention was actually for him, and he accepts her "feelings". On the bright side, she gets to stan her fave from up close!
This one's not actually villainess which is why it's at the bottom, but I'd be remiss if I didn't add it for the transmigration aspect, also just because I love it and want to talk about it. It might actually be my favorite het isekai romance, but the translators stopped translating a while back, so I kind of lost track of it for a bit and have yet to catch up to the official tl (which I think is on tapas? Gonna have to check tho). Even so, it's the best. The family content is so pure and wholesome, Abel the hero of the novel FL read is simply adorable, and there is no ML like Hades. Once you meet Hades you will never accept another shitty emotionless conceited son-hating love interest ever again. I mention Hades a lot whenever I'm complaining about MLs because He Is The Standard, my friends. Get you a man who loves his wife AND his son. Also, there's plot! There is a truly astounding amount of plot and it's making me lose my mind! FL is doing her best and I just want her to be happy. Read this one, you won't regret it.
Now, you may have noticed, hey! Only Roxana is actually evil, what gives? And the reason for that is that it's very, very hard to find a villainess story I like that also has a truly villainous protagonist. Reverse the hourglass started out strong but at some point I got bored, beware of the villainess was also good but pushes way too hard without committing to the implications that the heroine likes the villainess, and various others lose points for similar reasons or just because they're too long. That is, if the FL is even truly a villain in the first place. Also bad love interests will ruin my enjoyment entirely, no matter how much I like the FL.
So yeah. Technically these are my favorites as far as what's currently published in the genre, but they're not actually what I would call my preferred villainesses. (Hero's Mom excluded because she's not supposed to be, she's just here because I want her to be)

The most interesting au crossover idea for me is canon meeting the good [character name] au. Now when I say good [character name] au I don't mean that the character is trash...entirely, I mean that the shitty things that the character does don't happen because the character is no longer a complete asshole or was never a complete asshole in the first place.
For example, good-dad-Endeavor au meeting canon. I wanna see the Todoroki kids and Rei get the Enji they deserved! I wanna see good-dad Endeavor detroit smash some f*cking sense into canon Enji. I wanna see them have a lesson about how a real father acts. I wanna see good-dad Endeavor give the kids, all the kids--that especially includes you know who for those who have not read the manga, some genuine fatherly love, care, advice, just...just give them everything they deserve. I wanna see him give a heartfelt...idk apology? on behalf of his shitty alternate self to them and Rei.
I wanna see good-mom Odalia b!tch slap her canon self and basically do everything I just listed above to her alternate dimension family. Maybe throw in better-dad Alador too, have him give canon Alador some tips on how to be more involved and such. To be honest, I haven't seen many good-mom Odalia au's or anything of the such, mostly just her still being manipulative and such but still somehow 10x better of a wife/mom than her canon self. I think @wako_dreamer on Instagram has the most wholesome Odalia, she's actually a good mom.
now I know Enji is trying to be a better dad but I still do not like him and would like it if he got a good beating for all the shit he put his wife and kids through...I don't entirely hate him, but I don't love him either...he's okay I guess. A lot better than Odalia tho when it comes to redemption tho, he actually tries and wants to get better. Her on the other hand, well she just sucks...which sucks cause I was hoping she would have a revelation and be like 'damn...I'm such a b!tch and am shit at being a mom, I should work on that'

Young Justice finale ~ MY OPINION
(YOUNG JUSTICE SPOILERS AHEAD)
I've been DYING to talk about the season finale, but college is killing me, fr. My friends don't watch the show and my brother is still catching up, and I really need to get out of my chest some things.
I think they wrapped things up to quickly. It was so quick It was hard to process and It felt like going through a check list of things they were going wrong and now look IN ONE MINUTE IS ALL ALRIGHT AGAIN. It felt rushed and I didn't like it.
About Ma'alefa'ak, I'm happy he got what he derseved, he is an asshole, and he has been one since season 2. I've read people say that he actually has a point, but he's an extremist. And I agree Mars is SUPER RACIST and they need to change their ways ASAP, but for me as soon you start killing people and children, you don't have a point anymore. And specially Danny Chase, even though he had a shitty life he was a sweetheart, and deserved a happy ending.
And the worst part about this whole thing is that in Mars THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW he was getting the A'ashenns a whole planet. What are you even doing man? You got a political movement, and you do things by yourself and get involved with an intergalactic terrorist? How do you expect your people to follow you like this? I really wish we could see REAL ACTIVISM is MARS. I HATE seeing people with good points and motivations become extremist in media, and the plot line is so popular nowadays. Give me an actual activist PLEASE.
Now ships wise, I've never been a M'gann and Conner shipper, I'm not an anti but I'm not a fan; specially because I feel that M'gann is very toxic... But Conner seems happy, I guess.
Is funny to me that the writers push so much their love line to us, but I can't get excited about them. In their wedding I was literally more hyped about Icicle Jr being there and catching the bouquet or Jon carrying the rings, than the wedding itself.
I was not going to write this, because I didn't want to be THAT Stan... But I'm still pretty pissed that there is NO NIGHTWING IN NIGHTWING'S ARC. I'm not demanding to see him all the time, if you wanna let go of his character THEN LET HIM GO, give me one scene or mention that he is living his best circus life, but don't go around town saying that you're going to give me 6 episodes that focus on him and then GIVE ME ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
But it's not all bad I guess.... We have Conner with the Superfam! There's no many places where we can see Conner having wholesome moments with the Superfam and in Young Justice we have a few, I specially love the bond between Conner and Jonathan, they are the cutest together, and Jon loves him so much, I wish we could have a relationship like this between these two in the comics.
And don't even let me start in Clark's and Conner's brother like relationship. To think that Superman didn't even talk to Conner in S1 and now it's part of his family, that now he knows the Kents and they accepted him as their own, it just makes me so emotional, ok?
I'm kinda worry about the definition that Jon now have of death, though. But I'm glad they're addressing it.
Now, I hate to admit it but I'm a SUCKER for powerful evil women, and let me just say that I'M SO HERE for Black Mary and Kara Zor El, they look STUNNING and POWERFUL, they better give them a good storyline next season

Book Review : One Last Stop, by Casey McQuiston

Alright so this was delightful from start to finish. The concept, first of all, was great - loner college student with a knack for investigation, August, falls in love with badass butch amnesiac from the 70s who is stuck out of time in the New York subway, Jane ; awesome. I find subways fascinating, full of history and spooky vibes and potential encounters and dreary routine and urban poetry (I guess this feeds into my obsession with underground places lmao) and the story made full use of the setting. Plus something about the smut scene in an empty metro carriage at 3 am over the Manhattan Bridge was like !!! ok unrealistic but blablabla women being scared away from public spaces and queer ppl being assaulted in the metro etc etc. beautiful. healing.
the dialogue is funny, the two main characters are interesting and likeable and their chemistry has a lot of electric zing and realness to it. sweet but not desexualized or trying too hard to be 'wholesome'. something about their dynamic of two characters who have drifted between places and have never been able to really put down roots due to complicated family history, finding an anchor in each other (on a moving train no less!) really worked for me. plus points for making the love interest a beautiful, desirable, butch character (and Chinese American as well) bc i feel there is so not enough of those. plus it's nice to have a bi character that's an awkward virgin instead of a Casanova, that's also stereotype breaking. honestly good bi rep.
i also really liked the found family of quirky roommates. overall it's a pretty classic stories of early-twenties coming of age, becoming an adult, learning to let people in, putting down roots, daring to become yourself fully, letting go of your past, etc - but done very well. liked all the nods to queer history as well, how entangled it is with city life, and i loved all the 'missed connections' notes of how Jane made an impression on people throughout the years.
unpopular opinion but i was never the biggest fan of Red White and Royal Blue, found it fun but too tropey, kinda bland, and honestly overrated. (and the Disneyfication of US politics really grating. also i just read too many presidential AU fics that were like. better.) my fave part of it was the character of Nora, the foul mouthed witty friend, and the author went with that sort of tone here, which i think she does very well, plus overall it feels like a more original and fully realized story. (which, again, is just my opinion, but it's again frustrating how little wlw stories get attention compared to mlm ones, etc.) so she's kind of won me over with this one, i might pick up 'I kissed Shara Wheeler' at some point.
a few quibbles that kept it from being an all time fave : i do still find her writing a bit, hm, immature in places, not as evocative as it could be. things do get tied up almost a little too neatly, and the love interest's radical politics feel a bit more like an aesthetic gimmick but the book has a big subplot about saving a landmark diner from gentrification so i'll give that a pass. Regarding August, i am also kind of annoyed that every single shitty parents storyline ends up with 'but they tried their best and we're more alike than we know and we reconcile because family!:!!!' like it would be nice to have characters' happy ending be them enforcing their boundaries and wanting distance for once. but maybe that's not fluffy romance territory idk. Also, the cover is - if not awful, nice colors - too close to boring Canva corporate style, i hate this trend, this could have been so much cooler honestly !!! but none of those things are a big deal.
anyway !! i enjoyed it a lot and as a light, funny romantic beach read it was perfect. definitely goes on my list of fave sapphic romances.

Season 2 Episode 2: Family
Episode Reviews: 1 | 3
All abroad the angst train!! It was really interesting to see the different types of family and their parenting styles - not just Nick and Charlie's! I adore the fact that my faves Taoelle are getting a good amount of time dedicated to developing them and their relationship. Also we get to meet some new friends, Sahar, Felix and Naomi!! David and Ben are also here, being pricks as always. 🙄
Lil funny sidenote: the GSCE scenes gave me such intense flashbacks to my own - can't believe it's been almost decade since I've had mine 😂
Now onto the Spoilers:
- I really appreciated seeing all the different parents and the transitional montage of Meet The Parents was a stroke of genius. It was a really cool and quick way to show how everyone was progressing in school and personally
- As I said in this post, while Jane was a little harsh and could have explained her reasoning better, she was right to do that. It's just the boys acting like the end of the world. Which as a teenager I remember what it feels like. But do not demonise Jane for doing what is best for her kid. It's not like they can't see each other at school or text. She might be the strictest parent on the show but yet this was still pretty mild compared to what I've gone through.
- I do think it's sweet that Charlie does The Most to try to meet up with Nick and it's very realistic in terms of teenage shenanigans. I do wish he had just talked to his mom. Now he's gotta deal with the consequences of his actions.
- Ben and David,,, where do I even start?? These two need to leave Nick the hell alone.
- They managed to give David an even more douchey hairstyle than in the comics. My head started throbbing the moment he came on screen. The climax of the episode with the Nelsons was done really well. David is really such a prick and everyone acted their asses off. Thank you to Sarah for calling out her shitty son, I bet she has never wanted to throw hands with him more than in that moment.
- As for Ben, he needs to stop starting shit with Nick in Study Hall and leave Imogen the hell alone (I wish she would listen to Nick). I know I shouldn't hate on a child but by god is Ben a demon.
- On to new friends: Sahar is the cutest person in the world!! I love her so much and can't wait to see more of her soon
- Felix and Naomi!! So glad Alice decided to write in new characters. They are both so cool and I'm glad Elle will have new friends in art school.
- Though this does bring in angst for Taoelle and I am not complaining cos it's done so well and isn't toxic. Hella realistic and it just made my heart burst they got a huge amount of time as the B plot this episode. The fact that it eventually pushed Tao to admit to the boys that he likes her!!
- I also LOVED seeing their parents. Tang Xu is just such a wholesome mom and very different from your typical Asian parent. I loved that Alice turned that trope on it's head. I really adored seeing more of Tao and his relationship with his mom. We also got hear more about his dad! I love love that Tang saw parallels between her relationship and Taoelle - what a cutie
I cannot wait to see all of this progress over the season. Overall, while not so much of a comfort ep, the angst was top tier!! I love all of them so much and can't wait for things to get better
