I love butches so much, the safety, the warmth the loveliness of butches is something people outside of the (lesbian, especially within butch/femme spaces) community will never appreciate in the same ways a lot of us do. I just have so much love and respect for them and I can't even put it into words, I love the history, I love the gentleness in butchness, I love the strength. the warm feeling I get as a femme when I see them is something I don't even know if I can articulate properly. It isn't necessarily just a lustful gaze I see them in either, even just platonically from afar there's this deep feeling within my soul that reaches out to them. Their friendship, their love, their care, their stories, their future, I want to protect all of it. If you have the privilege of being in community with them, tell them how much you appreciate them. Don't be scared of using terms like butch, it's a beautiful term wrapped up in so much history and should not be looked down upon both within the lesbian community and outside of it. I've seen a rise in people trying to replace butch with masc when there's a huge difference between the two, please respect butches. Butch is a beautiful term let's stop trying to erase it from our vocabularies.

I feel like a lot of people stands by the butch-femme dynamic just to justify toxic traits. Don't get me wrong, I AM A SUCKER FOR BUTCH4FEMME. But i'm talking about WHAT A BUTCH (or femme) IS SUPPPSE TO DO you know? Like. We have this incredible possibility to know a person. A human being. With their past, their childhood trauma, their insecurities, their own pulse to do better and grow. And we want to date an stereotype? Why? Why we would ever loose the posibility of knowing someone so deeply THAT WILL NEVER BE PERFECT (they are a person. Not a robbot. Not an stereotype. They don't have to be perfect for you. They don't have to be nobody else than themselves.)

If I say I have a thing for butches, I don't expect a prince charming. As I said a few posts ago. I WANT MY KNIGHT. And I want to be a princess WITH A SWORD TO FIGHT FOR MY KNIGHT WITH MY LIFE. I am a fire sign. I do not recommend to piss me off.
