SMALL SPRINGTRAP DOODLE 2 CELEBRATE FINALLY ESCAPING ART BLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT MIND THE WEIRD DIALOGUE I HAD FREE SPACE AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT TA DO W/IT
I HAVE NO IDEA IF I'M FITTING FOR THIS
I HAVE 0 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE, DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO WORK WITH SOMEONE WITHOUT EXPERIENCE??
I MEAN
I AM READY TO DO SOMETHING IF I CAN DO IT
BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT I REALLY CAN DO SOMETHING FOR IT
I HAVE TIME, ENOUGH TIME, I DON'T NEED MONEY, BUT I'M JUST SCARED THAT IT MIGHT BE DIFFICULT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE AND LACK IN A LOT OF THINGS
I AM AN ENJOYER OF THIS SERIES, NOT A CREATOR, I AM EXITED TO SEE THINGS FOR IT, I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS GOOD OF ME TO GET INSIDE OF IT LIKE THIS
I Honestly wasn't sure what you meant! Because i have drawn him so so many times digitally BUT this one is special
BECAUSE!
Normally i do do my sketch Traditionally, But i chose to take this ask as a personall challenge to do the WHOLE thing digitally
looky at my digital sketch!!
just like my trad sketches, it is just very very light. Im so used to drawing lightly because i erase a LOT
oh and hey, while i'm at it, just take my ding dang time-lapse
ahahaha just in case you guys ever wante to watch me manually color and yes yes, do those shading lines by hand because i love them.
oh and ty Ibis for having background elements bc backgrounds are HARD. (But putting the little stickers and bgs together feels like scrapbooking and its fun!!)
If you actually watched me draw, you may get motion sickness from just how much i move my canvas around lmao
ok ok ok like i thought “the chosen” would suck cause “blah another series about the life and times of jesus” like we GET it it’s been around for CENTURIES you guys make the same damn movie all the time
but it’s actually legit really good? lots of pretty good representation! not everyone in the movie is white. actual portrayals of jewish culture instead of just ignoring that part. disabled people. matthew being autistic. characters that aren’t just two dimensional. the people in it feel like real people. there’s actual jokes, jesus cracks a few and they’re really funny?? so far nothing hateful, no gay or transgender bashing. it calls out the church for being judgemental and hateful in a way that’s very tasteful
it’s not perfect tho. jesus is…still white for some reason? despite mary not being white? and no one else around him being white? no gay people in it which is kind of a bad and a good thing…but it’s a portrayal of jesus and the people around him as human. as real life people who felt things and made jokes and rolled their eyes and stuff. also the guy they cast as jesus is pretty hot as are all the disciples. which isn’t the point or whatever but i can’t say i’m complaining. it’s free online and i think it’s worth a watch!
More casual doodles. I suddenly had the urge to draw some of my edgy OCs from 2007-2009ish. These were my babies back then! (Of course the DEVIL had to be the main villain...ish.)
This was a story where I had trans characters in it even tho I didn't even really know what trans meant! So. That's cool! And these are like...40% of the characters. There was so many of them....10% were actually relevant.
intaglio prints i did of my oc Dave for a class assignment like a year ago! a bit about Dave's feelings being a friendly but eternal, undying, and interdimensional sort of guy. being a little outside of the rest of the world's phase of reality, wanting to connect but knowing it can never last etc etc. was very fun!
I’ve been collecting enamel pins for a couple of years now, and sometimes I want something that is either too niche to already exist or is related to an uninvolved party’s copyright, or both.
To get around this I’ve dabbled in DIY pins before, hand-etching acrylic panes to use as molds for solder—don’t try this at home unless you know what you’re doing—as well as 3D painting onto flat bases, but both methods take forever, and the results have always been pretty ugly unrefined. I’ve recently started experimenting with 3D-printing and potentially combining it with silicone casting (don’t want to spend 50 bucks every time I want to try a new color or want to gift one).
Of course, my favorite horse bot has been on my To-DIY-list for a while, so I thought why not use this as an opportunity to test some new sizes and depths with the material.
The above drawing and 3D model are based on nostalgebraist-autoresponder’s avatar, which is itself an edited version of the painting Horse in Analogous Color Scheme by doni19.
