French Lady Barbie, from the 1997 Great Eras Collection
It's France in the early 1800's and the name Napoleon Bonaparte is on everyone's lips. Self-proclaimed emperor in 1804, he and his beautiful wife Josephine are the leaders of French style and fashion.

While Napoleon led French armies in conquest, the beautiful, brooding music of composer Ludwig van Beethoven was heard throughout Europe. In France, artist J. L. David achieved fame and popularity as did portaitist Jean Ingres. In 1806, the Institut de France was created by combining Academie Francaise with other academies, all designed to protect and promote everything French, from art to architecture! The beautiful city of Paris began to take form and shape as the famous landmark, the Arc de Triomphe by artist Claude Clodion, was begun in 1806 and completed in 1836.
Rarely in history has one nation ever commanded so much prestige, so much success and so much style. In this magical age of Napoleon, everything the French touched rang with glory. French Lady Barbie captures this glory in her brilliance of style and sophistication. as the year has ended, i just wanted to make a post and thank all of you here for helping me find my love of writing again ♥️ i haven’t written for fun in over three years, so i was nervous about jumping back into it.
below, i wanted to thank a handful of people because of how much they’ve helped me in the year that i’ve made my return ♥️

actually thats avery interesting question, generally im a little bit sad my pwhau comics are not that popular but also it's completely understandable - its an au after all, im still amazed at how popular the piece with scar sitting in a tree is, even before it got picked by tumblr, i like that piece but i would never think it would be so popular
in general i try not to stress notes and followers that much, dont get me wrong, people yelling in tags is the ultimate serotonin dispenser for me but i like trying out new things and i like making art little me would never dream of making

Cartoons and family reunions
Cw: Chuck has a bad relationshipp with his dad, not bad bad, they dont know how to communicate (And both are emotionally constipated)
Summary: Chuck and Herc mend their relationshipp a little bit thanks to cartoons.
A/n: this idea was based off a post made by @/Christian-latte-anon.

Chuck was returning from a long day of working on striker eureka, tired, sweaty and mildly cranky he walks towards his girlfriend's room.
"As soon as I get to her room ill greet her...give her a kiss...shower and cu-- what the hell?" From outside her room, he could hear a voice with an ustralian accent "dad?" Chuck thought "no. Its too high pitched to be his..."
He opened the door carefully and found his girlfriend curled up with Ice cream watching a cartoon on her laptop
He chuckles and leans on the doorframe with his elbow, one hand on his hip-- 'Ello luv, what're ya watchin'
Jerico turns to him and smiles-- hey handsome, im watching a cartoon of australian dogs
--Aussie dogs? Now im interested-- he said closing the door behind him-- excuse me -- he sits besides her and leans in.
--Chuck! You smell like oil and sweat! Go shower!-- jeri whined pushing him away a little.
--Oi! This is a kiddies cartoon-- Chuck had heard about it what was the name of the show-- seems famliar..bunley? Buley?
--Bluey, Chuck
--Ah right, Bluey-- he agreed-- I have no issue with you watchin' em, they arent my cup of tea
--im not gonna stop watching them, just so you know, go shower-- she cupped his cheeks and kissed him briefly.
He kissed back, a tired smile on his face-- you always know what I need, dontcha
She giggles, kissing his forehead-- cmon, go shower
--Yes ma'am
Chuck left for the shower, and once she heard him get in, she bundles up in her blankets and keeps watching the show.
Chuck could hear her giggle and laugh, besides cooing at the show. Maybe he could give it a chance. If only for her.
So, with a towel around his hips he lays down with her and steals a couple of bites of her Icecream-- how did you even get these past pentecost?
Jerico shrugged-- he likes strawberry icrecream
--The upstanding citizen pentecost acceptin' bribes? Talk about end of the world omens -- he joked.
He cuddled up besides her and watched the show.
Charkes had to admit, it was really cute, but he couldnt help but notice something
The main character, bluey, has a great relationshipp with her dad. It reminded him of the kind of relationshipp he wanted to have with his own dad.
He cleared his throat and Gently said-- can you turn it off? -- to then turn away.
Jerico closed the laptop and looked at him-- ey, everything okay? -- she asked putting a hand on his bicep.
--Its nothin' its just uh..-- he sighed-- the main character reminded me of somethin'
--You wanna talk about it?
He shakes his head and just lays ontop of her a little, her arms wrapping around his neck and her head ontop of his.
--maybe ill go for some fresh air..I dont want to interrupt yer marathon -- Chuck said quietly.
--its okay, Chuck -- jeri reassured him-- I can always watch it later
She held him tight,murmuring sweet things and pressing kisses to the top of his head until he felt better.
Now every time he was around she'd watch the show later, to avoid any more incidents Like that.
Chuck was defenetly done with the show, but the show with him? Not so much.
Pentecost announced him and his dad would be doing a VA Gig for funding, neither of them were going to argue with the marshall so off they went to Australia for a couple of days.
--The marshall refused to tell us what we are supposed to do-- Chuck told his dad on the airplane-- we couldnt bring jerico over either, what the hell is up with that?
--Apparently we are goin' to participate on a special for a kid cartoon-- his father explained-- Bluey I think its called?
--Bloody 'ell-- he muttered holding the bridge of his nose.
--Isnt that the show Jerico likes so much?-- herc asked.
--You know it?-- the younger hansen asks.
--yeah? Sort of? I watched a couple of episodes with Jer -- the older hansen admitted.
--How did you Sit through 'em?
--Ah theyre not that bad,son
Chuck only huffs and looks away. If there was something Chuck Hansen hated, was to experience emotions.
Once there, they are soon taken to the studio and the recording starts.
With some voice coaching lessons and various takes, they Get it done, they dont do a great job but its passable.
Both were given a copy of the episode and decided to watch it.
Chuck couldnt really stand it so after ten minutes he stood up-- I dont watch kiddie cartoons -- he growled,already heading for the door.
Herc finished watching it And ended up silently crying.
The Next day, Jerico was going to marathon the New Bluey special.
She felt incredibly excited, she had heard some famous people were going to be guest stars and she couldnt wait to see who were they.
For the first five minutes nothing seemed out of the ordinary, then three bulldogs appeared, the father was named Herc, the oldest son Chuck and the youngest was Max.
Jerico had to do a double take when she heard Hercules' voice. How come they didnt tell her they were in the show? Maybe they wanted to Keep it a surprise?
the special was about how the oldest of the two kids joined the military, following in the steps of his dad, and making him very proud.
Jerico could now understand why Chuck hadnt mentioned anything to her.
"Mum and Daddy have eachother! Do you have someone like they do?" Bluey had asked dog Chuck.
"I do" Chuck had taken out his phone to show bluey, it was a picture of what seemed to be a female Manchester terrier, that oddly resembled jeri a lot" this is my girlfriend and shes the best, shes always lookin' out for me and my dad, shes always up to help me with anything...shes the greatest!" And jerico could tell when the Real life Chuck said it, he felt it with all his being.
The episode ended with a heartfelt speech about how the dad was proud of his son regardless of what he did with his life. Which had jerico shedding a couple of tears.
She closed the laptop and went to find her boyfriends, finding Chuck working on Striker Eureka with rock music Blasting at full volume.
She sneaked up behind him and tapped his shoulder-- fuck off-- he replied angrily.
--and who took a shit on your breakfast this morning?-- she teased.
The Man turns around the instant he recognizes the voice-- babe! Im so sorry I didnt mean it!
Jeri laughed playfully pushing him-- its fine
He hugged her waist pulling her closer --Well, now that you scared me, did something happen?
--Nothing, but I did wanna ask you something, nothing bad dont worry-- her arms hugged his hips and looked up to meet his beautiful green eyes-- I swear every time I see you you just get more and more beautiful
He chuckled--ah well im just trying to match your Beauty , watcha wanted to ask me?
She giggled and nuzzled his chest-- what I wanted to ask, you smooth fuck, was if you worked on the New Bluey special!
The color drains from his face and he looks away-- uhm..yeah...sorry I didnt tell you...ya know how I get
--Its alright!, it was a pleaseant surprise, you did miss my dumbfoded face
--Aww Man! What a shame-- he teased.
--But it was really cute!-- jeri reassured him-- two of my favorite things mixed toghether, you and my current favorite show
Chuck smiled and kissed her Gently, squeezing her a little.
--Will you come by so we can watch the special toghether? -- jeri asked-- I know how you feel about it but...its something worth sharing with your dad!, And its a good way of connecting with him.., ill be with you there for support
He sighed--...I.. alright, once im done with the repairs ill swing by
--Thank you Chuck.. I know its hard for you and I appreciate it-- she pressed a soft kiss to his lips and he kissed back.
-- its all worth it if its for you-- Chuck whispered, allowing himself to be vulnerable for once.
--That means a lot-- jeri mutters back-- any idea where your dad is?
--Neck deep in paperwork probably, check his room maybe?
She nodded and gave him a final quick kiss before leaving-- love you!-- she yelled as she left.
--love ya too-- he said under his breath with a small smile , waving at her.
Jerico soon reached herc's bedroom, knocking on the heavy metal door-- herc? Honey?can I come in?
--Come in!-- opened the door and let herself in, seeing herc hunched over some papers with a cup of coffee that has Turned cold a while ago.
--ey-- she said softly.
He looks up from his paperwork and smiles-- 'ello,what brings ya here?
--Wanted to ask somethings-- she replied closing the door, sitting on the edge of his desk-- I heard you on the New Bluey special, that made me really happy!
Hercules smiles and his cheeks turn a little bit pink-- ah right! I was going to tell you but then stacker gave me all this bloody paperwork and--
--Alright alright, before you get a stress ulcer- old man, how about I make you some coffee
--first, dont call me that, second youre a life saver-- he replied kissing her knuckles.
Her face feels warmer all of the sudden, but jerico cant help but laugh and kiss the top of his head-- and one more thing, Will you swing by in a couple of hours to watch the special with me and Chuck?
-- thought Chuck didnt like that show?
--He doesnt but hes doing it for me, and itd be really nice if you could come, I think its a good way of connecting with Chuck...
--Ill go, dont worry your pretty little head
--Thanks herc, I love you-- jeri says, kissing him briefly and grabbing the cold cup of coffee.
Before she leaves he grabs her by the wrist and playfully tugs her on his lap.
--Hey!-- jeri exclaims light heartedly.
--You call that a kiss? -- he teased, before kissing her again. This time it lasts a little bit longer, he holds her a little bit tighter, melting into her arms.-- if the kaijus dont do me in, this bloody paperwork sure Will
Jeri laughed, playfully slapping his bicep-- dont say that!
He let her go and smiled-- this paperwork is a nightmare
--Youll get through it-- she promised kissing the top of his head and ruffling his hair-- be right back
After a quick coffee run, jeri left to her room to get it all set up.
Comfy pillows, blankets and both of the hansen's favorite snacks.
After some hours they arrived, Chuck was visibly unconfortable but it eased up once he was in bed with some coffee and Lamingtons.
He leaned his head on hers and herc held jerico with his arms around her waist, Chuck held on her left arm with his free hand.
As the episode progressed, both hansens couldnt help but cringe a little bit, did they really do that bad of a job?.
But jerico didnt seem to mind,she was too busy giggling and smiling at the computer's screen. And for them it was worth sitting through it if that meant they'd see their lovely partner happy.
The episode ended, and herc had to look away, Chuck copying him
--Thanks for watching it with me!-- jeri squealed.
Chuck smiled and hugged her a bit tightly-- youre welcome, babe
--I know its difficult for you two to sit through it but I appreciate it, I love you both
--We love you too-- herc said kissing the top of her head, to then turn to Chuck as if to say "I also love you".
The younger hansen can only reply with an acknowledgement nodd.
--as much as I would love to stay here and cuddle-- the older hansen said-- I gotta get back to that awfull paperwork
-- ill make some tea-- Chuck piped up, to then remember hes a hardass and add-- I guess I could make some for you
--I could use a tea, thank you son
After saying goodbye, and kissing her, Jerico saw both hansens go out of her room, but not before Herc side hugged Chuck and whispered something to him.
Chuck froze but hugged back, still trying to Keep that hardass persona of his, and leave.
Both of them still had a long way to go, but eventually they would find one another, and best of all they didnt have to do it alone, jerico would make sure of it.

I know plenty of people have already talked about that particular line in the last scene of chapter 40 but can I just say thank you for letting kanut be the one to have that moment with Zuko. That genuine moment between these two queer people means so much to me.
As an asexual sapphic I struggle a ton letting these identities coexist. It often feels like I gotta pick and choose between them. So many people have this mentality that people like me are the queer asexuals unlike cis aroace/arohet/acehet folks. Like I'm queer despite my asexuality rather than it being an equal part of my queerness. Reading that conversation I instinctly expected Zuko to realise kanut isn't like him and dismiss that experience and advice as relevant to his situation. But instead you let them relate to each other and I haven't stopped thinking about that.
I went to pride a little over a week ago and found this acearo stand. The guy there told me they had a few WhatsApp groups for aspec people so I gave him my number. I live in a very small country in the Mediterranean basin so there really isn't really an asexual culture here at all. So I thought I'd at least try but I couldn't master up the courage to use the WhatsApp link he sent me. Anyways all that is to say I finally did it today because of this chapter and kanut. Congrats on getting a win over my anxiety.
Completely unrelated the whole thing with Zuko and the flower in his hair hit me so hard as a plus sized person. I've felt so many times in my life I needed to be more masculine and aggressive and to not put any emphasis on my body or my appearance. I know that definitely was not your intention and I'm not even sure if it makes any sense but my ed has been really bad recently and that part made me want to put flowers in my hair and cry in the summer sun.
Sorry if I'm being way too personal with this but that chapter has got me in emotional shambles. So I just wanted to let you know how impactful your writing is. I am never not floored by your insane talent.
asks like this mean the absolute world to me i genuinely treasure them and hold each one so close. im so glad you found something comforting in my writing. it was a personal chapter for me too and it was really important to me that zuko and kanut have that connection where they relate, not see each other as different. idk if it's tiktok or just the internet generation as a whole but there's a really disheartening trend atm of queer identities pitting against each other, competing over who has it worse and sometimes we all just need to step back and remember what unites us. each person has different experiences with their own queerness even if they share a label with someone else. it doesn't need to be a battle and that's what i was trying to show with kanut and zuko and thankfully i think i got that across pretty well based on the overwhelming response ive had from that chapter. it's truly touched my heart so please dont fret about this seeming too personal. you deserve to be recognised and the fact you messaged that group despite your anxiety? knowing i had even a minor part to play in that is going to make me smile for DAYS. i hope they offer you more of a community than what you've received so far. you deserve flowers in your hair xx

hiiii is it ok if i ask for some advice? im sorry im gonna sound rambly but uhhh i'm 14 and starting high school next year (which i alrdy dont feel too good abt haha) and my (overbearing asian) parents are going to send me to this private lutheran hs instead of the public one i was supposed to go to bc its more upper class and smart (?). tbh i was genuinely surprised that i liked the school, academic-wise, and i rlly liked that i had the space in my schedule to take more fine arts classes (i dont have any in my hs) but like the first thing the principal said to me was that i "needed to learn to be a good christian". a whole hour each week is dedicated to jesus and i just know my atheist ass is going to be uncomfortable asf. first, one of my best friends has a thing for jesus (he says jesus is too hot to be straight 😭) and i cant tell if hes joking anymore, and second, i dont have a problem with people who are religious, but i do when they are flat out hateful and harrassing people from communities they "dont agree with", and i just know the people preaching at this school are the latter.
also rn i am the *only* poc in my entire school, and i noticed there were a lot more asian students and students of color, so hopefully there'll be less kids pulling at their eyes or calling me slurs :D
anyways i not a fan of the fact that "homosexual behavior on or off campus" warranted for expulsion, since i am a *very* queer and bisexual individual. at my current school, i dont really need to hide my gayness bc no one cares, and my teachers are accepting (my homeroom teachers a lesbian lol <33). i dont think i can handle having to hide such a big part of my identity at home *and* at school :( too add to that i really suck at making friends, so being somewhere without people i'm comfortable with, my anxiety gets really bad, and i just shut down completely.
my hs is p rundown (like most public highschools are) and the classes are average at best, so idk man, im torn :( i dont know if i should suck it up and go to lutheran school bc their good academics, or ✨be myself✨ and go to p shitty school :/

That is such a sticky situation. Cause maybe you can try to persuade your parents especially since they'll be paying for the private school on top of college tuition in the future, it can be a huge selling point. I know that's how I won in the decision of beauty school over college it's cheaper. And christian and catholic schools are heavily based in religion like it's a huge part of it so if you don't believe in it it can be absolutely mind numbing. I actually didn't go to Christian school, actually wasn't forced to go to church as a child, I was like 11 and for some reason told grandma Christianity is responsible for all the bad things that happened in the world. Which is wild that I even was able to come to that conclusion as a child she just brushed me off. But I did go to church summer camp to be with my friends which my friend and I got scolded for holding hands but she was just leading me through the crowd of people. So that's still unfortunately a huge part of christian beliefs
the thing that really caught me off guard is the homosexual activity off campus can lead to expulsion. On campus like sucks but is expected of a christian school sadly. But off campus in your day to day life is like your actions off campus shouldn't be judged by the school. Like I can't wrap my mind around that. I think since you have a whole summer maybe look for more schools you can attend I remember doing this in middle school because my home high school was an F school so you could choose any high school within a certain range. You'd be really surprised with how many schools are around you I'm assuming you're in the us but I'm sure everywhere has a ton of schools. And look for a school that holds some of what your parents want and also your own values and needs for your education. And maybe your parents seeing you take initiative might be an extra point.
If your parents are deadset on it. I think try to make the best out of it as much as you can usually there's a group of people in the same boat you're in where their parents forced them to be there. Trust me no matter where you go you will always be drawn to those like you every single time. But if you do get the choice of going to the original public school firstly screw every single racist little bitch who does that to you that is horrid I am so sorry you have to endure that. People suck. But you can also learn extra independently I always did that cause I was a bit ahead of my class. But I really think researching more schools in your area would help you find the perfect school for you. I personally was in love with Waldorf schools they're more creative led schools and freer, I wanted to go to one so badly. So figure out the exact kind of education you want like a magnet school, charter school it doesn't hurt to see how receptive your parents will be to it.

Hello! I have kinda a longwinded question about fantasy dwarves, ive read your posts about the topic and id like to know if what im considering is distancing the idea of 'dwarves' from the real history of little people. I have a homebrew d&d world where ive created a fair bit of worldbuilding for a number of fantasy races, dwarves included. Everything you were saying about fantasy dwarves makes total sense, and I dont want to perpetuate that, so I'd like to change my homebrew setting to be more respectful of LP and their history. Is changing the name and physical characteristics (i.e. Not having the species called dwarves, not having them be small humanoid mining people, etc) and including fleshed out characters with dwarfism in other races enough to distance this from real little people?
To make up for a potentially heavy question: all the outfits you post are Excellent, what are your favorite clothes to find and alter? Or, is there any piece in your wardrobe you really love/ are proud of? I dont alter too much of my clothing but i always treasure finding a pair of pants i can reasonably take in and make work for me! Hello! Thank you for these questions ^-^ I've noticed that a lot of dnd players and world builders are working to create more accepting settings for their players, which is a great endeavor for the world of fantasy.
Q: Is changing the name and physical characteristics (i.e. not having the species called dwarves, not having them be small humanoid mining people, etc) and including fleshed out characters with dwarfism in other races enough to distance this from real little people?
Solid question - I think that the only real way to distance real little people from fantasy "dwarves" is to drop the made up race all together, which you would already essentially be doing once you stray from the necessary characteristics that draw the parallel. Basing a made up race of beings off of a marginalized community shouldn't be happening - full stop. And it shouldn't be missed. Yes, freely include little people in the fantasy genre, but don't use their bodies to mystify them. Don't turn them into a class other than human.
And removing "dwarves" as a race classification is really just a drop in the bucket. Include real little people in ALL genres outside of fantasy. Create positive representation. Use media as a means of destigmatizing and romanticizing bodies like mine, and step outside of the written word; Fight for equality for real life little people, and by extension the entire disabled community. Take stands against inaccessibility, workplace and medical discrimination, healthcare inequality. Educate yourself on spoon theory, take up sign language, question the nature of the world we've built in the same way you do regarding gender, sexuality, race and mental illness.

Thank you so much ^-^ well I'm a really big fan of earth tones and mixed patterns - lots of browns, greens, blacks, and mustards. I love finding things that I don't have to alter, but when I must I like to adjust sleeves - skirts and dresses are a bit more work. Currently my favorite garment is the skirt seen in the top left photo (description: knee length polyester skirt that sits at high waist, black with diagonal matte gold stripes) which I love to pair with both green pallets and red and yellow pallets. Mostly I love to have a lot of witchy fun with my clothes :)

mcc 17 vod time: cyan edition baby
hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii <3 this mcc when watching other team vods i had some thoughts and decided to post them here lol? not much too it. im not an expert nor am i anyone whos opinion you should value to so dont sweat it if you disagree lol.
I'm not gonna go over every game and more of where i had something to say so <3 time to get into it i guess <3
starting off controversial lol. skybattle i. didn't really enjoy. cyans placement wasnt that notable but something I noticed is they kind of revolved their strat around dream? round one the way he dies bridging to mid and then asks for ponk to do it at that part so *he* doesn’t get sniped again aswell as just prioritizing himself over his teammates a bit? just didn't really vibe w me lol. its not anything id call an issue and more just something i noticed, and kind of reminded me of the funneling strat for dodgebolt (something dream is well known for) vs arrow splitting. i don't like funneling but i also main falsesymmetry for mcc so. i am biased lol. dream is obviously a bit more of a sweat compared to players like h or pete who prioritize making sure all there teammates are getting their own shots in while dream goes for the win for all of them by doing the majority himself. tldr he can be a sweat good for him. dream fans please dont maul me im but a humble blog
moving on from the opinion that's most likely to get me cancelled (/j) sands of time!!!!! i think their sot strat was super smart and while i don't know if its ever been used before id love to see it again in the future! karl as sandkeeper was a great decision as he was on top of comms and communicating when he had keys, how much sand, and when he needed them to give him more. dream was great at instructing them on what to do and saved alot of time not running back for vault keys but instead going on a set path intending to get the vault, instead of go in and pray you stumble upon it lol. the entire team worked well and its genuinely a shame they had a shit run in with those ravagers. comparing the scores, first place was 4300ish, and cyan had at one point 4500ish coins, meaning they would have gotten first if not for it. never forget the cyan 17 incident </3

NO YEAH I TOTALLY GET YOU they feel so familiar to me like. i dont see them as old historical figures who had been dead for 250+ years they are just,,,, family yk? or like old friends from some time ago that whenever you think about them you get this feeling of warmth and familiarity djlbflbsblflns so when something happens to them (sad or happy) you kinda feel it as if it was happening to a family member or friend. it's another sort of connection i really don't know how to explain it they literally feel like my children now
that was such a messy explanation oh god snlfhjpdpjr anyways i can't believe im so emotionally attached to a forgotten family from 18th century america when i'm not even from the us but i have no regrets because i've met wonderful people around the world that happens to love this family as much as i do and helped me go back to drawing stuff that i love while growing a small community <3

--Just Jokin', sugar-- Gambit answered kneeling to Gaias eye level.
As they wait for their target, theres an comfortable silence, Remy cant help but look at his companion.
Gaia, Jerico Gomez, an omega mutant like him. The Kindest soul he has ever met, he smiled, oh he loved her so much, he was lucky enough to be her partner (in crime, And romantic). And he treasured every single moment he spent with her.

Remy's smile grew shy as his cheeks heat up-- oh shucks sugar, youre too sweet to remy...

The robbery went on without a fuss, between gambits and gaias skill, the work was swift and discreet.
They used the money to get supplies for some of the poorer parts of the neighboorhood, returning home at the crack of dawn.
As soon as they found themselves on their shared room, they collapse on the bed.
Remy hugs his girlfriend from behind, pulling her closer to his chest, sighing as the scent of green Apple invades his senses-- Youre so sweet, cheri.., Thank ya for stickin' with me
--Hey, you got me head over heels, for you, yknow?-- jerico Turned around to face him and cup his cheeks.
-- And you got me head over heels for you as well-- he leaned in, kissing her softly, his arms hugging her waist, legs tangling with eachother.
Soon she fell asleep, and with heavy eyelids, remy caressed jeris hair, soft smile on his lips.
"Maybe you are right, cheri" he thought" my nurture never changed my nature, and you are my prime example.."
-- J'taime, mon cheri-- he whispered before falling asleep.
