Fun Fact
BuzzFeed published a report claiming that Tumblr was utilized as a distribution channel for Russian agents to influence American voting habits during the 2016 presidential election in Feb 2018.
"You shouldn't gift people your own merch, Judai, that's tacky!"
"But he asked for it?"
"..."
On the other hand, Judai finally got his very first Synchro Monster, and he's over the moon!!
^ Is this foreshadowing a very fucked up story that I may publish later this year? Who knows...
Hey @the-nerdy-alpaca I'm your Secret Santa! Even though my tablet breaking means it's now an entirely different holiday, and forced me to finally unpack my analog art supplies (╬⓪益⓪)
Hope you like this gift! I sure smiled to myself quite a lot while working on it (♡´౪`♡)
I absolutely love @adeepindigo 's mods. I have almost all of them in my game. The problem, though? They are a pain in the ass to update. I don't know what it is about her patreon, but her links to mods she updates doesn't work for me. They just bring me back to her patreon in a never-ending loop. That means I have to continuously scroll through ALL of her patreon posts in order to redownload each individual mod I use from her.
So, I attempt to use her new itch.io site and it's the same issue. Hitting download doesn't work. Just brings me back to the home page. It is driving me absolutely bonkers! I've even used different web browsers to see if it's something going on on my end, but it's the same issue. I have additionally tried to check my settings in my browsers and set it so there is no blockage from popups or whatever and that didn't work either. I also have googled this issue extensively and there are a few people having the same issue, but their 'solution' is very vague, so I can't repeat whatever they might have done to get it to work.
If anyone has a solution to this issue that they might have figured out, please, PLEASE save me from this torment! Lol. I can't live without these fantastic, irreplaceable mods in my game.
The Last Airbender (2010) is better than the netflix adaptation because the art created by an unstoppable force (weird auteur director who's whole oeuvre is awkward, tongue in cheek horror movies) and an immovable object (studio execs desperately trying to crank out an inoffensive family fantasy movie to be their own bespoke harry potter) coming together to taxidermy the acclaimed 9.3/10 on IMDB source material into one of the most inscrutable films of all time is just inherently more worthwhile than a show that's primary goal is to meekly regurgitate the events of the original story in a roughly accurate and nostalgic way in the hopes that The Fans will think it's better than M Night Shyamalan
Oh, this is my favorite behind the scenes image ever {link to original post here 👁️📻}
To explain, in Wendell & Wild the teams used different sized puppets to make the characters look smaller depending on the scene (this was especially used when they were on screen with Buffalo Belzer).
Hey all. Over the past couple months, I've gotten a lot of followers who probably don't know about my OCs and portfolio projects that I'm also working on, so I'm making a quick master-post for it!
K.O. CRISIS is a series of artwork––character designs, illustrations, sketches, and animations––inspired by late-90s/early-2000s anime and Y2K culture.
Set in an alternate-history Los Angeles in the year 2001, the story follows disabled Taiwanese-American Ashley Tang as she fights her way to the top of the bracket in the national augmented boxing championship.
As the youngest female fighter in the championship, she'll have to fight tooth-and-nail to defend her place amongst the heavy-weights. While her rare dual arm prosthetics help even the playing fields, it'll take more than brute strength to prove her worth.
But this isn't a story about an underdog triumphing against all odds. Throughout the story, Ashley will push herself to the limit for the sake of validating her existence under the grinding heel of the sports media machine, in a world that values disabled bodies more than their lives. As the championship rages on, one question seems to linger through the roar: Is Ash strong enough to win, or is she brave enough to quit?
Through the project, I'm hoping to explore representations of prosthetic-users in pop culture as "enhanced superheroes," as well as discussions of trans-humanism under medical capitalism, the fetishization of new technology, and the commodification of disabled people as entertainment.
Accompanying her journey include characters like Noora Balakrishnan, a local transfem prosthetics engineer who doubles as Ashley's ringside mechanical cutwoman.
The project is still in its early stages, especially since I sorta rebooted it earlier this year (meaning I'm no longer using past, outdated art for the project). If you enjoy it, you can find more artwork for the project under the #ko crisis tag!
does anyone have that video of the news guy going around nyc and passive aggressively announcing each and every Dunkin he encounters out of pure spite?
far from the illustrious view of the stars, the ARK-tic research station where they both live is cold and bleak. going outside is strictly prohibited, since the project's existence is top secret. (plus, jupiter, who retains maria's illness from canon, would not fare well out there in the snow and ice for long.)
the environment has had an impact on jupiter's attitude. it's tough to stay positive when you're stuck in a freezer! callisto tries his hardest to cheer her up, though.
hold on where are you seeing the boys in the basic t shirts i wanna seeeeee
they've been posting them on the twst_jp twitter account, and the merch for them is up on the Aniplex+ store! they're literally just drawings of anime characters wearing black t-shirts, but the art is really cute and, I dunno, there's just something about the Twst boys posing in their little matching t-shirts that is hilarious to me. it's adorable.
and of course, there's something about Mal especially that is just like
