ya know what i'm realizing. some ppl may have the show every line in tags option on in xkit (like me) and this would be better as a read more as to not annoy anyone bc i started rambling

i just want stuff to work. why can't shit just work lol. ive been doing the most who gives a shit task for 2 days, stayed up til 6 bc there was a problem and i am still here. each version of the app is fucking with me & the version i want to fucking use took 2 steps back when on my ereader and i wanna scream.

typing this out now im like 'who cares' like there are actual things to be stressed over. but like i just really want to move to sy bc it has every setting i want, it works with epubs; and it will support og's folder next update.

all good things i need on my ereader! but i think bc the ereader is on android 11 that it's not working like it is on my phone that's on 13. and there's a reason i want to move away from using zip/cbz bc it's easier to edit epub metadata & boox will just see & apply the cover. for some reason it won't do that if you use an archive file until you click to open it... i have almost 500 manga on here. im not doing that.

i can still set everything up as normal ig, and tbf j2k can read the epubs they just don't show up on the chapter list correctly. but i might just do that UNTIL THERE'S A FUCKING FIX FOR ANYTING

im tried. imma get a migraine over this.

I'll go ahead and start updating the drive for Special volume 3, at least as I get done with chapters. Pacing is gonna be inconsistent, but since it's the same amount of pages, chapter by chapter progress is easy enough to do.

#Mostly one of those things where I want to feel like progress is being made #And having the folder updated say. Every week instead of a month+ of all the work at once #Just feels better to make the finished work public instead of purely my folders #I won't do more updates until the editing is done or near done and it'd be polling for the next thing #But I have found a better pace/look for 'not 100% dedusted but looks good enough' reasonable time sink stuff #If you know manga cleaning; they're a lil ugly; but it looks good when not using adjustment levels

Otaku Collection Set Functional for The Sims 2

This is a 4to2 set converted from flirtyghoul. I made the bookcase, deco manga and action figures but not the posters because there are really too much recolors. Bookcase and deco manga are low poly, action figures are medium to high (5k to 10k). The bookcase has 21 slot and is actually functional to read and "asked to be read" manga.

There are 8 random manga from which your sims can choose (children can choose only for the Doraemon one as I tought it is more "childish"), but if you don't want to wait for the favourite manga to show up you can edit the book in buy mode with the design tool and choose the cover you like (useful for machinima purposes). Sims can also put back the manga in the bookcase (and also the standard books). I made the manga object buyable in buy mode for deco purpose too ^^ Found in Hobby - Knowledge (bookcase and manga) and Hobby - Miscellaneous (Deco Manga and Action Figures) I also added a Collection File so it will be easy to find the objects in Buy Mode.

If you want to add your favourite manga you can recolor the "Otaku Billy Bookcase - Manga" package file with simpe (I added texture samples in the download folder to make it easier to figure out) or change the 8 textures already present in the file with something else. Here a Tutorial from Poppet-sims.

Let me know if something isn't working properly :)

Finished reading the manga again and decided to put some pictures of my collection here…

On the very top my most valuable item, I took a job un summer with children just to buy it, anyone who knows me knows how much I hate and despise kids, but all was worth it just to get this gorgeous set!

Under it, I have the manga with the original publish that came out in my country, since they cancelled the translation due to bad sales I got the missing volumes in Japanese; in this “floor” I also have the magazines where they published RISING in Japan, the GameCube Game for beyblade 2002, a special mini folder-like for RISING in one of the magazines and I laminated the post card you had to send to get the Wolborg 8 Bearing Blue Wolf edition that appeared on RISING’s chapter 9

And on the bottom, I have a stamp album that came out in my country, I have it twice, one is complete and the other is missing only one stamp 🥲 in front of the albums I have the full manga and RISING manga all in Japanese, and in front of the manga, I have the Wolborg 8 Bearing Blue Wolf version still unopened, I kept the plain brown box with the name too and also there are the stickers also unopened for the beyblade, and lastly my Takara Wolborg 2, sadly this one is opened 😢

And this is not shown on my collection, but I laminated the Yuriy card from the trading card game that was released in English that someone gave me last year

Wulfric Thursday - a fic about wyler's son, he's the first child (that i most prob post on ao3 once Hyde The Past is done since the two are connected, i think i actually need someone with me to think of ideas and be crazy together its a little too much to take, a wide universe. There are 3 current chapters.)

Valentina Francoise - a fic about wyler's daughter, the younger sister (wont say much but she's the best and worst combination of her parents. there's only one chapter and its mostly notes.)

Girl Next Door - this fic was either tyler would be the new kid who moved into town or it was Wednesday. it was hard to decide but i think i settled with Wednesday. I don't know if this would come to life though, wish me luck. there are no chapters. yet.)

wyler tyler has a twin gemini - yep. the title speaks for itself lol. ( i wanted to do something like migi and dali or ayesha's secret, if you know the anime or manga, well you know *wink *wink)

wyler - sunflower - a fic where Tyler dies or it has an alternative story where he faked his death and goes to live in the Addams manor. God i was such in an angsty mood i wanted someone to die with me, and of course its my favorite white boy to write about)

Tyler Galpin - just a compilation of songs i was thinking of editing Tyler in.

Wyler PROMPT - just an unfinished prompt from a dc prompt where Tyler is Fran's and Vincent's son.

Wyler spies AU - again the title speaks for itself lol.

WYLER ITS OK NOT TO BE OK - if you know the kdrama then nice, but if you don't its basically Tyler would be a psych ward nurse or something like that and Wednesday is a children's book writer that sometimes visit hospitals to read her book.

HYDE THE PAST TYLER BOOTCAMP - my heart cries fir this fic. title speaks for itself. suppose to be a filler chapter.

WYLER DRABBLE - alice in the wonderland fic. its just an idea wont prob make the cut.

Longing For draft - just a short fic where Tyler followed Wednesday to her house.

Liar, liar - Tyler teasing Wednesday.

its not always rainbows and butterflies - a short fic where Tyler attends nevermore and learning how to control the Hyde but in Wednesday's pov.

wyler (3) - Tyler has full control of his Hyde and pretends to be nice but Wednesday sees through him.

wyler (4) - (just wrote this 2am earlier lol) wednesday goes to yoga and mourns Kitty's death, has a mental breakdown while Tyler consoles her. As the title says, I've been putting together a little resource drive! While it is mostly centered around Kuro, I also have a few folders set up for generalized gif, video, and photo editing as well!

As time goes on I'll add more and more to the drive, but if anyone has any resources that they think I should add/link to, then please send me an ask about it. Currently the folder includes:

Tutorials, program recommendations, and places to find content for gif, photo, or video edit making. Mostly basic info and resources you could use for any fandom!

Various resources on both the canon of Kuroshitsuji as well as the everyday like of Victorian era Britain. Includes both official sources and fan-made posts!

Screenshots and interesting information on various locations as well as certain props and things that I think stand out!

This is a WIP as I make my way through reading the manga, if you have manga caps to add please feel free to send me them

Images of characters or other fandom content with a transparent background, usually for use in edits and things.

Character guide pages and reference sheets from Yana and Kuro team! If you see any more official refs floating around then i would appreciate the link to them~

Part Two

Leviathan had only seen '[Name]' a few times over her stay in the Devildom. She never seemed to talk unless it was to Diavolo or Lucifer regarding important business and was very quiet in class but attentive.

But in the few times of seeing her, Leviathan thought she was beautiful.

"Probably a normie though..." He'd always think to himself.

Little did he know, that wasn't the case.

If he had ever stopped by to visit her room, he'd find a large Sucre Frenzy poster on her wall beside her desk and several Ruri-chan figures neatly littering the shelves where she kept her manga volumes and anime box sets. Assassination Classroom manga took up a whole shelf in her small bookcase whilst a second shelf was dedicated to her games and smaller, handheld consoles. As a centrepiece to the games shelf, a copy of Diabolik Lovers stood proud with a PlayStation Portable™ laid in front of it.

[Name] would usually be found in her room, either wearing her headphones to listen to anime openings and game soundtracks while reading or studying. Sometimes she'd be at her desk gaming; almost always in her oversized Ruri-chan hoodie.

Truth be told? [Name] felt the same way about the Envious Third-Born. As soon as she heard him talking about TSL and how he seemingly had an eidetic memory for it all, she was astounded.

She tapped her pen to her lips, deep in thought, "Would he want to meet me if anime was involved?"

[Name] Hey, Levi. Leviathan Hey [Name]. [Name] I got the new collectors edition of TSL, wanna come watch? Leviathan YOU WHAT? OMW NOW

No more than 15 minutes passed before there was a knock at your door.

"Come in!" You yelled, unable to tear yourself from writing your game's cheat-sheet and studying simultaneously.

"You said you had the New TSL Collector’s Editio-..."

Leviathan's words had gotten caught in his throat upon seeing your room.

'This is almost everything I like too...'

You saved and quit your game, sliding your cheat-sheet into a folder beside your monitor, "I do indeeeEEEEED."

You suddenly felt flustered, it only took you turning around and seeing who was in your room to lose your confidence. You hadn't seen his text saying he was coming!

"[N-Name], are you okay?" He asked at your sudden shock and the strange way you had given your response.

"I, uh... I didn't think you'd actually come..." Your voice trailed off quietly, a red hue taking over your face.

"You have the new Collector's Edition of TSL, of course I'm going to come! It's got deleted scenes and behind the scenes with animations, interviews with the English and Japanese voice actors, bloopers-"

Leviathan proceeded to rattle off all of the different features that this version had, evidently excited.

When he finally stopped, you gestured to your TV and games console, (gotta love how they double-up as DVD players!) "So... shall we?"

Levi nodded enthusiastically, following you to plonk down on the floor with all your pillows and blankets.

When you had turned around after putting the disc in, he saw your pastel pink hoodie was a Ruri-chan hoodie.

"WOAH- Where did you get that hoodie?!"

You looked down, pulling the oversized fabric out to look down at the design, "Uh... it was from an event-based prize draw; it was the 4th place prize, I think?"

"You made it into The Top 5?! Impressive! I was Number 1!"

It seemed the more you and the Envious Third Born would nerd out, the less shy you became and the less awkward the atmosphere was. You were both talking about TSL as each scene went along, discussing the plot, the characters alongside various other aspects.

You were sitting very close.

It wasn't until you were practically leaning your chest on his shoulder that you both realised how close you actually were. Clearing your throat you turned to sit normally.

"Uh... [Name]. You can... lean on me like that... if you want. It was... kinda comfy." Leviathan stuttered out, awkwardly pausing to think about his phrasing.

"Uh... sure!" You went back to lean on him and tried not to squeal. When he puts his arm around you, you let a small squeak slip out.

He hit the pause button on the controller, turning to you slightly, "Are... you okay?"

You nodded, unsure of what- no, unsure of how to say how you were feeling.

'Yeah Levi, I'm completely fine! Just trying not to die like a fangirl meeting her boyband crush at the fact you put your arm around and cuddled me. I'm in love with you!'

Leviathan leaned in slightly, staring intently into your eyes, "[Name]..."

"Le... Levi..."

You both felt like an anime protagonist reaching the peak of the plot where they finally confess to their love interest. Lord, how much more cliche can this night get?!

"[Name], can I..."

You tilted your head, "Can you...?"

You could feel your heart beating heavily against your chest; Levi could probably feel it. You moved forward, bringing your face closer to his, the brightness of the TV screen being your only light in the room.

"Kiss you?" / "Kiss me?"

A gasp escaped you both, before happily kissing him; the excitement of the situation caused you to knock him over, he was now leaning back on his forearms with a hand threaded into your hair and you on top of him.

You parted from the kiss, giggling sheepishly and pulled him back upright. "Sorry about that..."

"I-It's fine!" Levi was extremely flustered, "It was nice!"

There was an awkward silence...

"[Name]?" / "Levi?"

"You go first." / "You first."

You both laughed, "Count of three?" He nodded.

"One...

Two...

Three..."

"I like you!" Was the simultaneous statement. You pressed your head to his chest, smiling ear to ear.

"But... I thought you thought I was a normie?"

"Yeah, but [Name]... you're my normie."

Yeah I can share a little bit! Thanks for asking! I used to do graphics for Twitch streamers but then it started to bore me and I wanted to make things that were tangible so now I do mostly stationary. Because the convention I am tabling at this fall is also has a anime/manga portion to it I did a collection of stickers, keychains, and pins around being in a BL/GL book club. Wanted stuff to rep all the GL manhua I read lol, and people seem to like it online, we'll see how it goes in person! The other stuff I make is usually internet-core related, goth/alt community related, or LGBTQAI+ pride related. I've never posted a link because I don't want people here to feel like I am pandering to them or something IDK

I've started doing prints but I don't sell them online just in person or I make them for people, these aren't them but the style of the stuff I usually make (these are from back when I did gtarp and my character was a artist so I needed to make stuff for her/her company to post, I don't play anymore because its a cesspool so they just sit in a folder now lmao).

And I am glad you like the edits!! Thank you! I have one ready I am just waiting to post it because I just post the little Wednesday hair post. lol

These icons consist of all official art I could find from the light novel (which is mostly likely cancelled), the two-shot meant to promote the light novel, and all current chapters of the manga (1-14).

Many of these icons in the beginning might seem like they are multiple of the same image at different sizes: this is because I was personally prioritizing making as many icons of her initial dress and with a sword as possible, as well as close-ups of the face. It goes like this until around icon 508, as I don’t care that much about having a lot of icons of her school uniform specifically.

Like my Colette icons of this same series, these icons will likely be updated publicly at around chapter 20.

Tales of Vesperia Blurays

hello to anyone who’s scrolling the vesperia tag! I have finally gone around to digitizing other vesperia materials I possess that aren’t.. really anywhere online. (i may have put this off for at least as early as when I scanned light novel stuff)

anyway. the drive folder im providing includes: the vesperia stage play!!, the 10th anniversary party!!, tales of homeroom: tov edition!!, first strike 2019 bluray version!!

just keep in mind the following: you’ll have to download the things to watch them. you’ll most likely need to watch them through VLC media too. and they’re all unsubbed because translation is really not my forte

if you’re seeing this post and havent in any form completed/seen the game then do beware spoilers being in there, proceed with your own discretion. other than that, have fun! if anyone wants to translate these (they are all RAWs after all) please feel free to :)

goes without saying that if there’s any errors (there’s only so much I can proof-watch at once), do let me know!

that all aside. here’s the Contents (details) :

-Tales of The Stage: Justice of Light and Shadow (2019). Includes disc 1 (the play itself), and disc 2 (bonus content included in the bluray itself. stuff with the actual stage actors and whatnot)

I have so many thoughts on the stage play and i consider it a worthwhile experience! its like a little treat (though the speedrun being done here to get as much main story content covered within 2.5 hours is a sight to behold LMAO) (and even then, the stage play diverts from the main story to a good degree :3c)

-Tales of Vesperia 10th Anniversary Party (2018), also known as the celebratory party that was done live with all the voice actors leading the show! it’s overall very sweet and charming. this includes 2 discs, each containing a recording of 2 different days when the party took place, if that makes sense. any other videos in the folder is the bonus segments included in the bluray too, in a similar fashion to the stage play

-Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ 10th Anniversary Edition (2019), and Yes, we do have the movie available online, but i figured i could provide the bluray version that you would get if you got the definitive edition of the game in Japan. could make use for some HD screenshots perhaps.

the plus to the new bluray: it INCLUDES a 30 minute skit present on the disc as a bonus. im also providing the menu animation for the bluray since I somehow could rip that too and it looks pretty neat (:

-Tales of Homeroom, the two tales of vesperia episodes that you could only get through, again, the first strike bluray (2019). If you’ve seen some of the tales of HR videos uploaded on youtube, then you’ll know what this is about. if not, no fret! it’s just 2 tiny episodes centered around the vesperia cast on a vacation :)

how to colour icon panels !! 🍒✨

want to give your icons a bit of spice under the psd ?? give it a little POP of colour ?? don't worry babes, i gotchu !! it's much easier than you may think && in this tutorial i'll give you all the lil tricks i use on a daily basis. ( remember if you found this helpful, reblogging && likeing is highly encouraged but not required )

this tutorial will cover 2 ways of colouring panels, plain white panels (without starting colour) && pre-coloured panels such as webcomics.

firstly you'll need : photoshop (PS for short) , manga panels source of your choosing ( i use this source here ), and a reference for colours to make things easier on yourself. it's recommended to use a drawing pad of somekind but this can also be done with a mouse && keyboard.

i'll be using panels from Therapy Game by Hinohara Meguru as an example. collect your panels by saving them to your pc, and also a reference image. this can be the title page / cover or a reference image of your muse. ( this is to be able to colour pick easily but if you can raw-dog colours you can skip this step Picasso. )

upload you ref && your panel side by side like this :

on the side with the panel, you'll add a NEW LAYER overtop and set that layer to MULTIPLY located at the bottom right corner. this is the layer you'll colour on.

the colouring doesn't have to be neat-- and you don't need to colour the whole thing. you're going to crop them for icons later anyway. i'll also warn you now, it's going to look FLAT. that is okay !! because you'll be adding your own psd to it later anyway.

see ?? super flat, but we add a little psd and suddenly the graphic looks much more unified !! it'll hide alot of your shading mistakes so don't fret !!

now this part comes from a personal recommendation from yours truly -- save the whole panel WITHOUT a PSD !! put it in a folder somewhere on your pc / external drive, ect. the reason for this is because having a stash of coloured panels at your disposal allows you to just pull up PS and make and icon lickity-split on the spot without the need to batch edit or spend your time making a million icons when you could be focused on the fun part-- WRITING !!

now that you know how to do the basics-- what about pre-coloured panels ?? DON'T WORRY !! i said i gotchu babes ! i'll use the same example and we'll just pretend its pre-coloured.

the steps are basically the same except we will be adding 1 more to the beginning. first upload your reference and panel like before. then on the panel side, BEFORE YOU ADD A NEW LAYER, go to the top add click ADJUSTMENTS.

click on hue/ saturation && bring the middle slider ( the saturation ) all the way down. this makes your panel black & white.

left click on the new layer labeled hue/ saturation and click merge down. NOW you can continue the rest of the tutorial as if it were a plain panel !!

thats it's that the WHOLE tutorial !! 🍒 way to go superstar !! 🍒 now you can experiment with brushes and giving your icons / graphics your own personal touch. i use this method myself && it works like a dream. if you enjoyed this tutorial or found it helpful, consider reblogging. it helps me out alot !

no offense taken LMAOO ur kinda right I just used the first eren panel I could find with the right shape 😭😭 Should probably change it but im lazy…. I have a lot more Eren panels saved now but sifting through my entire eren folder to find them all would take me SO LONG…. I really should’ve organized it a while ago when it was still smaller but its too late and eventually ill have to take a couple hours to split it up 😭😭

what do you do when inspiration suddenly hits you? like do you just memorize it in ur head or note it somewhere or do u work on that idea immediately?? im very very curious about ur creative process PLEASE OVERSHARE because i believe there are things that are new to me. like you write and draw and it's amazing how tou do both! i'm more curious about ur writing process because i don't write much (nowadays i only journal or write diary entries, in the past i did write fanfictions but they're almost all oneshots or unplanned dropped after 2 or 3 chapters). (how) do you plan your storyline? do you consider yourself flexible (like are u comfortable with changing plans in a big project where one change could lead to other changes?). Do you beta read by yourself or is there anyone who does it? if you do it by yourself, what do you feel when re-reading your writings? i literally have sm questions but i don't wanna overwhelm you 😭😭😭 you don't need to answer if you don't want to, that's alright!!!

for whenever the inspiration hits, i tend to start on it immediately. writing is such a mood booster for me and i'm in a low mood most of the time so i seize the moment whenever motivation comes :'D sometimes when i'm busy (let's say school/work) and a great idea pops in (usually in quote format), i just lay it down in my gdocs. for oneshots, 1 doc would suffice. for longfics, the docs per chapter are contained in a folder.

i don't think i'm great in fan arts (i just get the boost from those who draw well—like u!) so i'm glad you appreciate it as well <3

regarding my writing process, someone actually asked me about it before! but to generalize my answer there, i ponder on 3 things (plot, characterization, & chapter study). my first fic (and my first series in general) was dusk in the brightest. i worked on chapter study first: detailed sequence of events from C1-10, vague concept in 11-15, then the rest is just 2-3 sentences of how i want the story to end. the 2nd one, character study, was smth i learned from a professor in one of my subjects when i submitted a one-act play script to her and she heavily criticized my characterization (like so badly i still get jitters remembering it) 😭 since then, i've been very wary with getting things accurate and consistent with my characters. for my plot-heavy fics, that's what i'm most serious for.

i think my flexibility (i dont even think i got that) was v challenged during the last arc of DIB because i suddenly had a complete change of mind with the ending (exactly what u had mentioned: changes that would lead one thing to the other). it was def not comfortable but a great tip (i think) to work around it is that: go back to your earlier chapters, pick up the most random scenarios you had made, then come up with a reason why that random thing ensued. an example of executing it is how isayama worked around aot's first scene (child!eren crying & mikasa being the first one he sees) by connecting it to his last scene in the manga (ofc i wouldn't assume isayama just thought abt it midway. it's just with how he executed it).

i don't have lots of friends in this app so i usually do the revisions all by myself. i'm a type of author that releases chapters impulsively—i'd publish smth that i hadn't proofread yet, read it in the app, then just do all the editing there. i'll repeat the process until i finally get satisfied. i think it's easier for me to point out mistakes when i feel the urgency to do so (like omg i have to hurry in polishing this bc readers might click anytime soon 😭) though someone helped me change POVs (from 1st to 2nd) in DIB C1-13 and let me tell u that i never thought having someone help me beta read my work could bring me so much delight.

and pls don't worry about overwhelming me! using this app and dumping all my work here are literally what keeps me sane from the overwhelming things in my life atm. to have u appreciate it gives me joy & comfort. thats why i'd be honored to answer all of ur questions :'D

Worst fandom takes: Itachi had more agency and responsibility for his crimes at thirteen than Orochimaru did for his crimes at thirty/forty-something.

Congratulations, this ask aged me by about ten years and made me go into my 2012-era reaction gif folder.

12/10 for how tired this take makes me, but... hm... 8/10 for rancid. Mostly I won't give it full rancid points because usually the "Orochimaru was just MANIPULATED by _____ factors!" crowd isn't like.... actively arguing what he did was okay (although they're like two steps away from this argument)? Nor do the weird "Itachi should have done XYZ!" people argue murdering children is okay. So I will not give full points.

But jfc, fandom. Why? The narrative does fucking backflips to make the Uchiha Massacre other people's responsibility in addition to Itachi's, and while I won't make the argument he was doing the best possible actions wrt to it, I don't think the story makes sense if Itachi thinks he has other options. He was thirteen, he was taught complete obedience to authority figures, and he was taught violence and murder are acceptable, viable solutions even if he personally doesn't like it. He was told "if you don't stop this, there WILL be a civil war" and "the solutions are either you kill everyone but your brother, or we'll kill everyone AND your brother." Does he hold responsibility for agreeing to murder? Yes. Were there other players actively pushing, supporting, commanding a thirteen year old to do this? ALSO YES, JFC

But, given how some Itachi stans want him to be a 100% morally pure uwu bean, I can kind of see why a person might get frustrated by that and push for Itachi having more culpability than the manga ultimately gave him. Like, the whole situation was deeply fucked up, and I do agree it's weird to completely absolve Itachi of it... especially given every other decision he makes about Sasuke afterwards. (What the FUCK, Itachi?) So while I am tired by less than nuanced takes on Itachi, this isn't driving the high rancid score.

But I do NOT get the fandom push to absolve Orochimaru of planning and then carrying out secret child experimentation projects, and then continuing them in Oto. Like, okay, you want Danzo to also be in on it because life is easier if there's one clear villain guy driving everything, alright. But do you really think Orochimaru, a full grown man and master manipulator, is somehow being brainwashed into.... doing something he genuinely seems interested in doing, and continues to do for the rest of the series? Like, at BEST, maybe Danzo was promising him he'd have support from above for ignoring the normal ethical standards. Orochimaru still chose to experiment on and murder children. You can argue he's Like This due to past trauma, sure, but other people had shitty childhoods and they don't murder children. Come on. The sorts of moral contortions you have to make to go "oh yeah, a full grown man wasn't at fault at all for things he literally planned and carried out while in a right state of mind--" is just exhausting. Also, by denying his responsibility for his own actions, you are just making him a less interesting character. Can we not do this?

Also god forbid you think both things at once. "Thirteen year olds should know better than to listen to the ninja president, but a full grown man should be able to have a hissy fit and murder children when his sensei is sort of mean to him." Actually, full 10/10 rancid if you're trying to argue both things at once, fandom. Please just admit you like one character and dislike another rather than twist yourself up in a pretzel trying to argue one is morally fine and the other is a moral failure.

EDIT: To clarify that last point, it is totally normal for the internal logic of your feelings on fictional people to be inconsistent. I definitely have characters I like because they're fucked up little guys and character I don't like because they're fucked up little guys, where the difference is shit like "one is FUN about it and the other isn't" or "one is pretty." But I think think if, in the same breath, you try to make a moral argument about two characters at once... please admit your standards are inconsistent because you like one more than the other (totally fair; I do this too), rather than trying to argue something that doesn't make sense and potentially just makes you go "children can't be manipulated but full grown men can :("
