This is an assumption. But why do you think JK bought his property in Itaewon out of all places ? And now building a mansion there which means that will be his main house he decides to settle. I've seen all korean stars buying their homes to love with their family in more decent and high end areas like Gagnam, Hannam etc. No one really buys property in itaewon with an aim to settle there with family as it's like the party spot of SK. Itaewon is known for clubs, brothels, parties, drugs and prostitution, most only go there to party, have one night stands or do illegal activities. Someone visiting Itaewon often is eye brow raising enough so building a whole mansion there is sus af isn't it ?
Hey,
I understand tone can’t be accurately interpreted with written words, so I just want to make my tone clear first and foremost.
I’m speaking with no harshness, judgement or condescension.
DM me and we can delulu cutely together with no air of authority on the matter, cos we should know we don’t know shit, but can still want to coo and dream with others 🤗.
We’ve seen and been outraged by sasaengs and their stalking of members and called them out at times. We’ve literally seen Jungkook on live entering his apartment and being annoyed with sasaengs loitering outside of his building, he has even said in that same live that he knows people knows where he lives and posted online.
Put yourselves in their shoes, who wants millions knowing your full address and being able to turn up unannounced? Because they’re fans of your music, of your image? I’m gonna leave that there.
I will say in regards to Itaewon, I’m not Korean, I don’t have a Korean father, a Korean brother, a Korean bff who works at Hybe, nothing. I do have a friend who went on a program, studied there and lived there for years but that’s it. I don’t know anything about Itaewon apart from the Halloween tragedy and a K-Drama. So guess what I did, yup you guessed it, I GOGGLED💪

Incoming cheeky tone…I thought I said ‘genuine asks’? This right here sounds like laying down the groundwork to paint a certain picture of Jungkook?🤔🤨
Tumblr media
Itaewon
You said: ‘I’ve seen all Korean stars buying their homes to live with their families in more decent high end areas like Gangnam, Hannam etc’.
I say: That’s a pretty bold, blanket statement 😬
Famous idol Rain and his actress wife and children have a home in Itaewon as do many other celebrities with their spouses, partners and families
Actor Song Joong-Ki and his British wife, who was pregnant at the time, moved to his Itaewon mansion along with her family from the UK. They welcomed a baby girl in 2023.
Tumblr media
Chaebols like those belonging to the Samsung family also have homes in Itaewon
Doing my googles, Itaewon is known as ‘a multi-cultural commercial area located in Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Seoul, known for its nightlife and trendy restaurants.’ ‘Seoul's International District’.
I know some other places that sound like the above.. London…New York…Paris…
I wonder where the prostitution, drugs and one night stands come into it for people who wanna buy or build houses in those cities?
Jungkook is currently a 26 year old multimillionaire, who is a member of one of the biggest groups in not just South Korea, but the world, so I guess he’ll have lots to do when he’s not working his ass off with his intense more than full time job. Settling somewhere with family…I’m sure he’ll take Bam into consideration in his plans, wherever it may be.
Something I did find cool when doing my googles 😁
Tumblr media
‘Korean singer-songwriter JYP (Park Jin-young) and Yoo Se-yoon's hip hop duo UV released the song "Itaewon Freedom" in April 2011. The title alludes to (and the lyrics celebrate) a common Korean perception of Itaewon's "open atmosphere", in contrast with conventional Korean culture, which is more conservative.’
Tumblr media
LGBTQIA+ ‘haven’ Itaewon
‘The 2020 South Korean Netflix television series Itaewon Class is set in Itaewon. The drama was praised for its diverse and inclusive cast and its realistic portrayal of subjects such as prejudice and discrimination against foreigners, ex-convicts and the LGBT people, as well as the portrayal of misbehaviors by chaebol corporations.’
Sounds like Itaewon is a cool, diverse, inclusive place, full of sites & attractions, shops and good food. If a 26+ year old man that’s been working and in the public eye since 13/14 wanted to build a home there, Itaewon sounds like a great place and a good investment.
I’d love to visit there, if I ever had the time AND money 🥲
Thanks for the ask, it caused me to learn something new!

“The updates are making me like Idia more, but in the same way you'd like a character for being pathetic” I’m shocked you didn’t like Idia at least from what I remember? He’s basically the same as Rollo (a character you do like I think) and in more ways than one. They’re both gloomy looking guys and traumatized big bros that are self righteous and pathetic. What kept you from liking Idia before if you don’t mind me asking?
[Referencing something I said in this post!]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, confession time: when I was a little kid (I’m talking like 7-10 years old), I was SUPER into Greek mythology and more specifically the story of Hades and Persephone. I ate up ALL the Hades and Persephone retellings/reinterpretations I could find and actively hunted for more 💀 so you’d think I’d like Idia, who is twisted from Hades, given how I gravitated to Octavinelle because of my attachment to The Little Mermaid on my childhood…
I think what puts me off of Idia in spite of his similarities to Rollo, a character I do really love, is a combination of Idia's appearance and his attitude.
To tackle the shallower aspect first, I actually don't like characters that look "too" gloomy. I would say Rollo is stoic-looking, but not gloomy? He has a pretty neutral face most of the time and the only gloomy thing about him at a glance is the dark circles under his eyes. With Idia... There's a LOT going on here. The hair is definitely unique, but I've never been into super long hair. The nature of it kind of overshadows his face and Idia usually looks miserable as a default. I've mentioned before that I'm unnerved by his coloration too; the super pale skin plus the blue lips is reminiscent of a corpse and, well... while I do see there being an audience that finds him beautiful, I don't think that's a cute look for him.
Now, his attitude. I'm not going to fault Idia for being passionate about his hobbies, as we all have our niches that we're super into. What irks me is how Idia expresses himself and acts out on behalf of those interests. He talks down to people who "don't get it" and takes other measures to defend the things he likes that I think is crossing a line. For example, he tracks down the IP addresses of Ignihyde mob students that defaced his favorite idol group's website. In the EN version, Idia threatens to doxx the mobs too (though he never does, this was just a localization decision). Yeah, you could do that I guess... but should you? 😭 The other characters also do questionable things (as a J word fan, I cannot deny this) but those actions are usually so outlandish no one irl would do it (like how Azul is a high school student that runs his own shady business). Idia's behavior, meanwhile, embodies some very real and very toxic aspects of fandom culture. I think part of why I disliked Idia at first is also his manner of speaking; it's riddled with so much internet lingo that it's hard to take him seriously sometimes. This is even more true of the EN version of the game, which has added even more slang than was in JP. Like... sorry, am I NOT supposed to be giggling when OB Idia is making threats while talking like an enraged gamer (both in EN and JP)? There is a ceiling on how much pathetic I can take in one sitting, and Idia far exceeds it every time he talks. Other characters (like Rollo making cheesy villain speeches, Azul being teased, Jamil's DOKKAN, etc.) have their moments of funny ha ha-cringe as well, but at least I can still see them in a serious light.
Books 6 and 7 are enhancing my opinion of Idia solely because they focus on the "traumatized big brother" part to his character. In Glorious Masquerade too... Idia gets the courage to call Rollo out because he knows their experiences are so similar. I think the storyline was done very well, and I loved seeing how Idia grows from an event that no doubt affected him deeply and still continues to influence him to this day. It's clear that he cares deeply about both Orthos and will step up to protect them. I LOVE THAT FOR HIM, it's not as though Idia is completely throwing aside one brother for the other, he's acknowledging them both as his "true" brothers. The way he goes from laughing to crying in his post-OB flashback... Idia getting so mad at us attacking Phantom Ortho with lightning... the willingness to "go" with OG!Ortho to the world beyond... apologizing to Robo!Ortho for falling for the dream's delusion... Aaaah, it's just too good 😭
DIHLBASOFYIAYVYEBfsWPYWPF WHAT CAN I SAY... I like me a reliable onii-san character 🤡 I'M NOTHING IF NOT PREDICTABLE

Uh I don't know if you still have the requests open but can you do souyo + Halloween costumes/day? I got sad that they never gave us more interaction from it except in the dungeons and they look so good on it
I hope that this is to your liking! There's also some background Yukichie as well as implied Kannao in this one too. For a content warning, there's drinking in it as well, but it's taking place post-canon when they're in college.
I actually really like how this one turned out - it's one of the longer ones that I've done for these
“Yosuke, are you almost ready to go?” Yu called from the bedroom where he was just finishing putting on his costume. It was Halloween and they were about to head out to a party that Rise was throwing. It was going to be a fairly small gathering, but it would be fun.
“Yeah, give me one more minute,” Yosuke called back.
Yu hummed, adjusting the top hat on his head. He was dressing up as a vampire, so was wearing a cape over the top of a puffy white shirt. He had the top of it unbuttoned so that his collar bone was just visible. He didn’t think that it looked bad at all. He had forgone getting any teeth for it, but that was mostly because he didn’t want to deal with talking while wearing them. That sounded like too much of a hassle.
He was done with his costume, so he walked out into the living room where Yosuke was sitting on the couch, struggling with something around his neck. He frowned, walking over.
He was dressing as a werewolf, saying that it was to contrast Yu’s vampire, and, he had to admit that the costume looked nice on him. The only thing was that he was now struggling to get a collar around his neck. It looked to be an actual dog collar, red and with a small chain attached to it.
He was just finishing buckling it when Yu walked up to him.
“A collar?” Yu asked.
“Yeah, I think that it looks good, don’t you?”
He hummed, reaching over, and grabbing hold of it, spinning it on his neck. “I didn’t know you were into that kind of thing.”
Yosuke let out a choking noise, his face turning red. “Yu!”
“What? You’re the one wearing a dog collar. Maybe I should get a leash for it.”
Yosuke glared at him, crossing his arms over his chest.
Yu smiled, leaning over, and pressing a light and chaste kiss against his lips. “It does look good though, you’re right. We should probably be going now though.”
Yosuke pursed his lips. “All right. I guess.”
He let out a small laugh, heading toward the door. Despite everything, Yosuke followed close behind him as they left their apartment, going to the nearest subway stop. Because of the holiday, the two weren’t alone in their costumes, the majority of the people that they saw were dressed up.
After a few transfers, they were getting off the train nearest to Rise’s place. She lived in a high-rise apartment building up in the penthouse suite. It was always kind of a culture shock whenever they went over there, but she was one of the top idols in Japan, so it made sense that she lived like that.
This was going to be a pretty small party - it always was if they were going over seeing as she had a public reputation to maintain. It would still be fun though.
They had to call Rise to confirm for the doorman that they were coming there at her invitation, but they were let up, taking the elevator to the top floor. They walked up to the familiar apartment, knocking on the door.
Almost immediately, it swung open, Rise smiling widely at them. She was wearing what appeared to be a devil costume, complete with a pointed tail and horned headband.
“Yu-senpai, Yosuke-senpai, you’re here!” There was a slight lilt to her voice that indicated that she had been drinking.
“Hey, Rise,” Yu said back.
She looked at the two of them. “Aww, you’re a vampire and a werewolf. That’s cute!”
She invited them in after that. It seemed like they were the last to arrive, everyone else already milling around, looking up as they came in. It was just everyone that had been on the Investigation Team back in High School, minus Teddie, who apparently had to work and was very upset about it.
Yukiko was dressed as a witch, Chie standing next to her as a pumpkin. Kanji was Frankenstein’s Monster, and Naoto was a cat.
They exchanged greetings with everyone before Rise announced that they needed to play a game now that everyone was there. Both he and Yosuke grabbed a drink, then they all sat down on the couches in the living room.
“What game are we playing?” Yosuke asked.
Rise thought for a few seconds. “Ooh, how about ‘Never Have I Ever.’”
She briefly explained the rules, going to grab a bottle of vodka and pre-pouring a shot for everyone, then they got started playing. Chie was up first.
She hesitated. “Uh, never have I ever kissed a boy.”
Yu reached for the shot glass in front of him before Rise stopped him.
“No, no, no, Senpai, it’s if you have done the thing that you take a shot.”
“I know.” He downed the shot, grimacing at the taste of straight alcohol.
Rise was looking at him in apparent shock, only looking away, toward Yosuke, when he also grabbed the shot glass in front of him, refusing to meet anyone’s eye as he drank it.
“Yosuke-senpai?” Her voice was pitched higher than normal.
She looked between the two of them as she also took a shot. Naoto did as well, leaving the only ones who didn’t take one as Yukiko, Chie, and Kanji.
“All right, so, uh, Yu-senpai, you’re up next then,” Rise said.
She seemed so confused at that, it might be fun to mess with her a little bit more. Of course, it wouldn’t be a lie, but it would probably shock her a bit. “Never have I ever kissed a girl.”
“What?” Rise said loudly.
Beside him, both Chie and Yukiko took a shot, as did Kanji and Yosuke. Rise and Naoto were the only two that didn’t.
Rise looked between Chie and Yukiko. “Okay, I have so many questions now. Yu-senpai, what boy did you kiss?”
“I don’t kiss and tell,” Yu said.
She grumbled, crossing her arms. He wasn’t sure what everyone’s reactions would be if they knew that he and Yosuke were a couple, but he didn’t really want to risk it.
They continued on with the game for a while until all of them had had a decent amount to drink - between them all, they had finished the entire bottle of vodka.
Chie and Yosuke had started lightheartedly arguing about something while he hadn’t been paying attention and now she was dragging him into the kitchen.
Yukiko walked up to him while he was deciding whether or not to follow them.
“I was thinking about going out and getting some fresh air if you want to come, Yu-kun.”
That actually sounded nice. It was starting to get kind of hot in there. He nodded. “Okay.”
They walked together in a comfortable silence out of the apartment and down the elevator, stepping outside onto the street. It was very loud and lively out, everyone drinking and celebrating halloween. Even still, it was nice to be outside.
They walked for a bit before Yukiko started speaking. “So, I’m sorry if this is assuming anything, but are you and Yosuke-kun together?”
His first instinct was to deny that, but he thought back to how both her and Chie and said they’d never kissed a boy, but both of them had kissed a girl. He hesitated. “I think that our relationship is probably similar to yours and Chie’s.”
She turned to him, giving him a small smile. “That’s good to know. I hope that the two of you are very happy.”
He smiled back at her. “You too.”
It made his chest light to have that out in the open - at least around one other person.
They continued walking, talking, and catching up on what the other had been doing. He hadn’t talked with her in a while, so it was nice to do this.
He got very absorbed in their conversation and before he knew it, close to an hour must have passed.
“We should probably get heading back pretty soon,” he said.
Yukiko nodded and they started heading in the direction of Rise’s apartment.
He took his phone out as they were walking to check the time, blinking in surprise. He must have left his phone on silent after he had finished doing some homework earlier because he had twelve missed calls from Yosuke along with a handful of texts. He couldn’t quite make out what any of the texts were trying to say - Yosuke didn’t type well on his best days, but it was almost totally illegible when he was drunk.
Had something happened? Why had he called him so many times? Was he okay?
He pressed the button to call him back, putting the phone up to his ear. It rang a few times before he picked up.
“Partner,” he slurred through tears.
His blood went cold. “Yosuke, are you okay? Did something happen?”
He started speaking, but he couldn’t make out what he was saying. All of a sudden, he made a distressed sounding noise and then Naoto’s voice came through the phone.
“Chie-senpai and Yosuke-senpai decided to have a drinking contest and when he couldn’t find you afterward, Yosuke-senpai got very distressed and hasn’t calmed down since.”
He blinked. He was crying because he missed him? Despite himself, that made something warm form in his chest. “Can you tell him that I’ll be there in just a few minutes?”
“Of course. I’ll see you in a bit.”
“See you.” He hung up the call. Yukiko was giving him a questioning look.
“I had a whole bunch of missed calls from Yosuke and so I called him back in case something had happened, but it turned out he just got really drunk and couldn’t find me.”
Her expression turned warm. “That’s really sweet.”
He couldn’t help the smile that tugged at his lips. “Yeah.”
They hurried back to the apartment, going back upstairs. As soon as the door opened, Yosuke was right there, his face flushed as tears ran down his cheeks.
“Yu!” He slammed into him, wrapping his arms around him, burying his face against his collar bone.
He hugged him back. “It’s okay. I’m right here.”
“You’re not allowed to leave again.” It was still hard to make out his words.
“All right. I won’t.”
“Maybe you should get a leash so that you remember to take me with you.”
He couldn’t help the smile that tugged at his lips. “Okay, maybe I will.”
He just nodded.
He was really drunk though. It was probably about time to get him to bed. He turned to where Rise was.
“Hey, Rise, is it okay if we stay here tonight? I don’t think I’m getting Yosuke home like this.”
She nodded. “Yeah, of course. You can have the spare room.”
He thanked her, then started dragging Yosuke up the stairs to where he knew the spare bedroom was, opening the door, and heading inside.
Once they were there, he made him sit on the bed where he started getting him as ready for bed as he could with what he was wearing.
He hiccuped. “Sorry.”
“What are you apologizing for?”
“For making you take care of me.”
He gave him a soft smile, leaning in, and pressing his lips gently onto his forehead. “You’re not making me do anything. I like taking care of you. I like knowing that you’re happy and that you’re doing okay.”
He just nodded, looking down.
Yu reached over, starting to undo the buckle on the collar.
“I thought you said it was good on.”
“It is, but it won’t be comfortable to sleep with it on. Besides, I love you. I don’t need to keep you on a leash to know that you’ll stay with me.”
He looked down again, tears forming in his eyes. “I love you too.”
He smiled as he finished undoing the collar. “Let’s go to bed.”
He nodded. “Okay.”
Yu wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling him down with him, making him lay on his side with his back to him.
He buried his face against the side of his neck, enjoying the warmth and closeness. All in all, he didn’t think it was too bad of a Halloween.

I just wish I was never a fan of her 😭 like the way I got pulled in was, I was attempting to take my English learning journey to a more vocal level yk? Because just grammar rules and spellings aren't gonna help you if you don't listen to spoken English.
And apparantly my friend made a whole playlist of Taylor's song because she listened to English music a lot, and I was blown away by her mediocre writing because again, I was young and a beginner in English.
That led me in a rabbit hole of her lore and when things got bad at home i wasn't allowed internet access so I only had my keypad phone with these downloaded songs so my exposure was limited to the western music world, you know?
And upon googling everyone was talking about how she is and it's Cute that she stalks fans for years and years (!! WTFFF) and invites them to her house if they are "devoted and true" to her (the biggest red flag what the hell).
And you know, i used to also think that everyone who hates her is just because she's a woman and the world doesn't like to see a successful woman. Now apparantly my brain has developed well enough to make judgements on my own and not take everything at face value, I can See everything is just fake about her.
"nobody calls out Ed Sheeran and Burno Mars when they write abt their exes" it's cause they don't revolve everything about themselves around their exes
And a dozen other things can be debunked just in a click if one sits down with their mind open.
It's scary how wide the fandom is and how far they'll go to defend her, remember them romanticising Ma*ty ??? Ewww
I guess depraved "idols" attract depraved people
i saw a post where swifties were dragging Brittany Mahomes or whatever her name is, for doing a campaign with kim kardashian because it goes against swiftie culture. But before that, they were defending her of being a sexual assault apologist saying "it was just an aggressive kiss" like can you imagine how toxic that cult is? I've seen the lines they crossed to defend matty healy and most of them were whites which tell alot itself. I'm so glad for people like you and i and other anons out here who has come out of that web. at least we have our own morals and judgemental process to define what is right and wrong instead of believing everything she potrays with her terrible acting and pr schemes.
and about the ed sheeran and bruno mars topic, can you tell me one name of their exes? At least i can't tell a name, let alone say which song is about whom. it's because they don't make their relationship a public circus like her. the problem with taylor swift is we can exactly tell who she was dating at what point and who the song is about. her own fans jump into this first so why won't media feed into it? it's not her fans' fault either because she has created this marketing strategy of having a parasocial relationship with her fans, so they think they have rights to do so, because they have to defend their pop princess from her villain exes because they hurt her. it's all so ridiculous lol

I’ll be waiting for your commentaries on Doyoung youth documentary! I think you’re really gonna like a lot of the contents during this promotional era. Thankful that promotion nowadays are not just about going to variety shows. Thanks to social media, we got to see him appear to talk shows and see him talks more. We’re seeing more of Doyoung who is not part of NCT. His thought process, his interaction with people outside of his circle or out of his field. I can see he’s a lot more confident too. He really says ‘This is who I really am’ through this era (album-wise and personality-wise). Despite being ambitious he’s also aware that this album will not appeal to all due to people’s preference. But most important thing to him, he’s satisfied with it. I learnt a lot from him through this album. Once again, you’re really gonna enjoy it!!
*sobs* Yeah, only in June. I'm in a new country, and the prices for mobile internet are insane here. Plus there are complications with buying a package in the first place giving my location and lack of a credit card. I have to severely safe on data. Unlimited is not even an option.
I see that Doyoung goes on a lot of programmes where he can sing live. It's really great he has the opportunity to do now what he had been longing for for so long (remember how he complained about his parts in NCT songs? "I will do what I have to do"). All his patience and perseverance is paying off.
I think, it is extremely hard to wait for postponed gratification (when an idol starts to invest blood and tears since day one of a trainee life), to see other, younger people, making it or doing what you want to do (like freshly debuted groups achieving more awards than NCT), add to it the loom of enlistment over male idols. Fortunately, in comparison to poor Taeil, and even Taeyong to a degree, Doyoung lucked out with the debut time window. I'm really happy for him and for his fans.
I also suppose that he got a full album because he found those additional 3 songs himself (one he wrote, one from Lucy's guy, maybe Kenzie's or the one with Mark can be counted as the 3d). As it is less about money, and more about finding enough of good songs that can go together. The songs were collected over a long time as well (Tae had less than a year after Shalala).
I said before that I don't find idol Jaehyun interesting, he is bland to me. (His real self I'm sure I will like, what's with the love for arts, old things and jazz). Doyoung is a different case, but mostly because I invest in knowing him and see past his fake facade of a cute trembling bunny. The real Doyoung is tenfold more charming than his idol image that he developed over the years in apprehension of antis and not his NCT fans. After his shift in image (from savage) there always was a difference between what he allowed to show being in a group setting with other 127 members versus his communication with his own fans. With his fans he was more honest (Doyoung/Dongyoung divide, fake boyfriend pictures, etc). And as a soloist he is even more sincere. I'm looking forward to seeing him open up in those interviews (he will never be not self-censored, but still).
I thought yesterday about Doyoung's words about standing out. To me, he is a more unusual and rare individual than even Taeyong. I guess "tortured artist" is a well-explored personality, heh. There are many of them in the industry. Meanwhile a "tribal chief" could be more often found behind the scenes, not on the pop-stage. And if they exist, they are not "seen". The idol culture exposes artists, shows them from many sides, it is very different from how pop-scene is elsewhere.
Real Doyoung gives off a lot of energy. Active positive energy. Many idols are a subject of desire (sex appeal), adoration (cuteness) or empathy ("mistreatment"), not many are "class presidents" (Hanbin seems to be one, btw), those who push you.
I'm sorry, I'm rambling, but Do's chant guide cracked me up. It heavily reminded me how he persuaded his class to participate in a choir competetion and led them to win it.
Doyoung: "Repeat after me. You all emit light, you are all fireflies and stars, you are all kind and meant for great things. You are my support, I'm your support. If I can do it, you can do it. Do like me, do better than me. Sing with me."

ahhh thanks for the tag @amidalleia <333
How many works do you have on AO3? 22!
What’s your total AO3 word count? 68,137 - i am not good at writing long fic hahaha
What fandoms do you write for? mainly Kinnporsche the Series... and I guess all the jeff multiverse jeffcest ridiculousness.
What are your top 5 fics by kudos? The Wiked Lies We Live, It's Kim and Chay and Chay's Phi Jom, the height of romance, Nice Legs (omg old Teen Wolf fic haunting me lmao), these tulips were made for talking.
Do you respond to comments? usually, yes! i did fall behind on WLWL... was hoping to catch up on comments in the next few days haha
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? oooh that is probably the Big/Porsche ficlet three kisses (that did, shouldn't have, and didn't happen)
What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i have a few with cute/happy endings, but i'll go with It's Kim and Chay and Chay's Phi Jom.
Do you get hate on fics? no just requests to update faster (sorry my friends, but unless i come into a large amount of money, i don't think i can take the time to spend all of my time on writing)
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes. what does this mean what kind??? i'm still kind of "aksdjlfaw AHHH!" about it, but it feels more comfortable each time -- kind of like action scenes.
Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? if the mood strikes? hmm, i do have a Death Note Howl'sMovingCastle!AU fusion on my old LJ account but I don't think that really counts as a proper crossover. In Which Sunako is Sent to Ouran Academy to Become a Lady is the only crossover I've posted on ao3. It's a Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (Wallflower) and Ouran High School Host Club crossover from.... 2006. ohmygod.
Have you ever had a fic stolen? not that I'm aware of!
Have you ever had a fic translated? yes. hand wash with care has been translated into Russian
Have you ever co-written a fic before? i guess so. @snickerdoodlles and i were "yes and-ing" on tumblr with a drunken kimchay thing that accidentally went down the path of knife/blood play lmao. it's up on ao3 as drag my teeth across your chest to taste your beating heart. also did a ridiculous "yes and-ing" survivor-idol-show kimchay thing with @subtextsays and @mightyyoiko you can read part 1 here and part 2 here.
What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? listen, if it takes me 10 years, it takes me 10 years. i'm not giving up on anything yet!!! hahahaha
What are your writing strengths? uuuhh. i don't know. maybe things on the sweet and silly side? i feel like i do my best writing when i'm having fun with it.
What are your writing weaknesses? writing consistently? i cannot for the life of me stick to a writing schedule. deadlines for fandom exchanges/events are fine. i'm great at meeting deadlines. but if it's me setting some arbitrary writing deadline for myself??? especially for multichapter fics?? HAHAHAHAHAH *disintegrates into nothing*
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? if it's necessary. sometimes there's cultural contexts to consider and sometimes the english equivalent just doesn't sound right.
First fandom you wrote for? gundam wing fic on some long gone yahoo group. good luck ever finding it.
Favorite fic you’ve written? ahhhhh how to choose?? i have a big soft spot for the height of romance because it got me back into writing fiction after over a decade hahaha. but also if you want an answer that will call me the fuck out, i'll say you are what you eat (they're twins) (the filmania!kim x boc!kim pwp) because i am way too invested in jeffcest. just tattoo that sickos image on my forehead *sobs*
okay snickerdoodlles, subtextsays, and mightyyoiko, i'm going to cheat and say you've all been tagged to do this (if you want) and of course if anyone else wants to do this, please do! i wanna read your answers :D

📢Psychonauts NSR AU Observations, Chapter 3: Akusuka District📢
Traditional Mask
Milla: Is this supposed to be a traditional mask of the east? It more looks like a cheap knock-off!
Sasha: Despite the appearance, it’s supposed to be a replica mask. They used to be popular around here, but now these ‘replicas’ exist. Guess that Akusuka is no longer ‘classy’.
Traditional Drums
Milla: Man, these things were impossible to find! There were back-orders of these things within performance halls.
Sasha: I’ve played drums like these since college. They were a form of escapism ever since I stopped talking to… 'him’.
Raz Toy Capsule Machine
Milla: Oh dear… a toy capsule machine. Sasha hates these things. Better not let him see this.
Sasha: …Das ist ein Stück nutzlose Scheiße.
Internet Service Provider Stand
Milla: Ok, I know that Raz is an idol, so the music industry tends to make sponsors with musicians like Raz. But this has nothing to do with music at all!
Sasha: As far as celebrity tie-ins come, this makes sense. But wouldn’t it be better to have celebrities sign autographs?
Vallermo Dam Replica (Fanmade)
Milla: A dam? Well, I get that he is a sailor and a dam blocks water. But… I got nothing. At all.
Sasha: Even though Akusuka is influenced by Japanese Culture. It was heavily influenced by Grulovian Culture as well. The Vallermo Dam was one of the well known landmarks of Grulovia. It was most notable for the 'Vallermo Dam Break’. Which killed thousands. Kind of weird but historical for Raz to place it here.
DIY-Droid: Keishi Ver. (Fanmade)
Milla: Ok, I know that Raz is supposed to be a digital idol. But this… this is really creative. I won’t lie.
Sasha: DIY-Droid is a vocal software where artists can create songs using digital idols. I’m guessing that this was a sponsor by Raz where that users can use his older siblings. Shame that it didn’t work at all.
Deep-Sea Angel Manga (Fanmade)
Milla: Aw! Raz gets his own manga? That’s kinda cute. But that’s a bit much to ask for… and I want it to be free.
Sasha: According to sources, Deep-Sea Angel is the story of a sailor who ends up crashing into a mysterious sunken island where he ends up helping Raz creating the 'Song of Miracles’. That's… that's… that,s bizarre for my taste.
Battle Stars Movie Poster (Fanmade)
Milla: The Battle Stars are getting a movie? For their 30th anniversary? Sign me up! It better be good, unlike it’s 20th anniversary. Ugh.
Sasha: I didn’t watch this show when I grew up, but I did hear that one of my former roommates loved this show. His favorite character was Mystic Star, who had the ability to change into four forms that each had a power of an animal… shame for the actor who played him.
Sniffles-Branded Honey (Fanmade)
Milla: OMG SNIFFLES! IT’S SNIFFLES-BRANDED HONEY! AND IT STILL SMELLS FRESH AND IT’S FREE!
Sasha: Milla told me about Sniffles. She was a well known bassist. She also specializes in beekeeping. I bet Milla will buy four jars of this type of honey and finish them all in 1 hour.

"But I really feel that to understand jikook, you have to look at them from a best friend POV first. How much they mean to each other. Then these kind of gestures like the tattoo and GCF T wouldn't be such huge topics of discussion.
Would I make a video of my bestie with a romantic song in the background ? Sure!"
Previous anon here again. What you just said remembered me of a convo I had with my boyfriend about Jikook. He’s not an Army per se but likes some of their songs and he’s watched some content with me over the years, especially Run episodes. I ask his opinion about Jikook from time to time when something new drops because tbh I tend to trust guys pov way more on this issue. He’s more convinced that I am than Jikook have a thing, it’s not really a question for him he usually just say "it’s obvious". I prefer to leave some place to doubt personally. GCF in Tokyo was one of the things that got him so sure about them. I’m probably over generalizing but I think it comes from differences between how men and women navigates their friendships. I could make a cute vlog about my best friend with a romantic song in the background and people would mostly think it’s cute, but two guys doing the same? Most people would find it ‘sus’. Hence the fandom’s general attitude regarding Jikook imo. Not that guys can’t be close to their bestfriend and if they are they’re automatically dating but in the realm of male friendships it is mostly perceived that way it seems. My boyfriend has no problem being touchy with his guy friends and flirting as a joke but there’s some boundaries they would never cross, like making a vlog with a romantic song in the background lol. For the most part I think male and female friendships vary and unfortunately guys have less ‘freedom’ in that department, if that makes sense. I’m not sure I’m explaining my opinion correctly, I think there’s much more to say about this but I would go off topic probably. And I guess I could get canceled saying more as this isn’t exactly in alignement with today’s populars opinions, probably.
Sorry I'm a bit late to this ask. I really liked your POV and wanted to read it properly before answering. You are right that men and women view friendships differently. And if we add the skinship difference in cultures, then again people view things differently. For example, when I got into kpop first, the skinship between male idols was very new to me. I didn't find it sus, but it made me raise eyebrows sometimes. Over time, i understood that it was common behaviour. But if a guy friend from my community sees a skinship compilation they would just go " that's hella sus or hella gay".
I guess what you are trying to say is that filming your guy friend and adding a romantic bgm is a big deal for guys more than it is among girl besties. So you do admit GCF tokyo was romantic, right? Lol. I hope so, because to me it was. And also to the countless locals in the comments. Because let's call a duck, a duck. It's art and free to interpret and most of us interpreted it as romantic.
Also, aren't we viewing things from a gender binary perspective, here? I wish I had more exposure to all perspectives.
I just find it very amusing and endearing that jk had no problem with his work being seen that way. Feel free to share your POV anon, you won't be cancelled as long as you are polite. Get behind me.

Michael with santa maria times in 2003 talking about his life; He talks briefly about wanting a relationship (which I find cute since he hasnt met Tony yet :)), his early time with diving, how he gets casted, thoughts about new york, and his composing!
Before Michael Gruber sang on Broadway, he was an NCAA All-American diver at the University of Michigan.
"I was diving during the Greg Louganis era," said Gruber, 38, referring to the prolific American athlete who medaled in three separate Olympics. "There was really only one more space after his on the team. After the 1984 Olympic trials came and went, I needed to make a choice about whether I wanted to train another four years (for the Olympics)."
Gruber, who performed in high-school musicals, opted to leave competitive diving to focus on becoming a song-and-dance man. He transferred to the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, where he honed his performance skills.
He then moved to New York City and earned roles in the musicals "A Chorus Line," "Miss Saigon," "Kiss Me, Kate" and "Swing." His most prominent Broadway role to date was as Munkustrap in "Cats."
Through July 20, Gruber is starring as Bobby Child in PCPA/s revival of the comic musical "Crazy for You." When not belting out a classic Gershwin brother/s tune, Gruber (as Child) spends most of the play trying to win the hand of local beauty Polly Baker (Melinda Ann Parrett). Guess whether he gets her.
Audience and media reactions to Gruber/s performance indicate that competitive diving/s loss has become the Central Coast/s gain.
A Times review of the play raved that Gruber "gives a performance that recalls musical idols of the Silver Screen, who literally swept their ladies off their feet with graceful dancing."
Starting Friday, Gruber and the "Crazy for You" cast will move south to Solvang to perform in that town/s open air Festival Theater.
"Michael is one of the rare breed of triple-threat performers who sing, dance and act 77 all first-rate quality," said Craig Shafer, PCPA spokesman. "His presence strengthens an already strong cast of resident and guest professional artists and interns on and off stage."
Recently the Times caught up with Gruber via telephone to talk about his life in the arts.
Times: So, do you miss New York?
Michael Gruber: We had two weeks off after the Santa Maria shows and before we moved down to Solvang, so I went home to New York. To be honest, it was like major culture shock. I was used to this mellow environment (on the Central Coast), so I was a little fried when I went to Manhattan. I was very happy to get out here again.
Times: Have you seen much of the Central Coast?
MG: I/m living in Santa Maria right now. I/ve also gone to Pismo Beach and the Avila Valley Hot Springs. They/re great. I/ve gone up to San Luis Obispo and down to Santa Barbara. I/ll have Mondays and Tuesdays off soon, so I hope to do more traveling. It/s so beautiful out here.
Times: Do you mind doing shows outside of New York?
MG: I/m happy to fill in the gaps between Broadway shows by going out of town. I like to get a break from the manicness of New York. Regional theater often has more interesting projects.
Times: After performing in melodramatic Andrew Lloyd Webber shows like "Cats," how do you approach something lighter like the Gershwin-inspired "Crazy for You?"
MG: The audience really informs you of what you can get away with in something like "Crazy for You." They sort of construct your performance by their reactions.
You really have to extend yourself when you/re doing farce, and take some chances. There/s a lot of slapstick, tripping and falling. The audience sort of constructs your performance. A show like this is so fun, but you have to be brave. And so far the audiences have been great. Everybody/s really enjoying themselves.
Times: Do you see any parallels between diving and theater?
MG: I guess being in the zone, and having that kind of concentration is very similar. And both are a kind of performing.
Both diving and acting involve judging. There/s a lot of bias and politics to both. If you/re competing against Louganis, and you did a dive comparable to one he did, he would still likely get the higher score. In theater, it/s the same way 77 a lot of it is mystique.
Times: Do you still have to audition for shows?
MG: Sometimes I/m just offered parts; that/s really what I prefer. Sometimes, if they don/t know you, you have to audition, but I never have to go to cattle calls anymore. They do what are called agent-submissions, where you/ll go to a private audition. Each show is something slightly different.
Times: Do you have any interest in doing television or movies?
MG: They/re such different industries. So much of (filmed) work is by who you know and who knows you. I don/t have any kind of network in the industry. And I/m much more broadly skilled in theater craft.
Times: Is it difficult to have relationships when you/re on the road so much?
MG: I/m not a big relationship person. I have my friends, but I/ve never really dated that much. It/s very hard to pursue relationships in this business. I/ve actually sort of been dealing with that right now, because as I get older I/m starting to want a more serious relationship.
Times: What would you do if you didn/t make your living as an actor?
MG: I/ve been working with a partner on composing some (musical theater) pieces. We/ve done three pieces together and we/re writing the fourth one right now. It takes place in 1975 and it/s called "Vegas Organic."
I/m totally addicted to The Beach (a Central Coast radio station), because that/s the era of music we/re writing for. I love Heart, Steve Perry from Journey, Freddie Mercury and Queen, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith … classic hard rock.
Times: So, I read that you were into psychotherapy? Are we talking Freud?
MG: No, classical analysis didn/t really work for me. I found it too one-sided. And from what I/ve read, classical therapy has not been that successful. It/s not necessarily practical.
The therapist I have now uses gestalt therapy. It/s great. He collaborates with me. We have a dialogue. It involves more problem-solving and is more immediate. But when I/m on the road, I take a break. I don/t want to become too obsessive about it.
Times: What kind of foods have you been eating in Santa Maria?
MG: It/s total In-N-Out and Taco Bell. When I/m late for rehearsal it/s McDonald/s drive-through. It/s bad because my metabolism isn/t as fast as it once was.
Times: What have you been doing for fun around here?
MG: I went out last night to a friend/s house. We watched TV and laughed and talked, drank a few beers and ate a pizza. College student-type stuff. It was a lot of fun.
Times: What/s the future of the Broadway musical?
MG: It/s tough to say, because the economy isn/t so great right now, and people are more careful about how they spend their money. In this type of an economy, and when a Broadway ticket is ,90, people are gonna want to see "The Producers" or "Phantom (of the Opera)." Or maybe they/ll see "Chicago" because the movie was so successful. Those shows will always make a killing.
Producers want a market value. Unless you/re Stephen Sondheim, it/s very hard to get a different kind of musical produced. And even his shows don/t have longevity because they/re not going to bring in tourists.
"Long Day/s Journey into Night," by Eugene O/Neill, would never be produced on Broadway now if it didn/t have Brian Dennehy, Vanessa Redgrave, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Robert Sean Leonard, who are all movie actors. It/s all about the economy. Once the economy improves and rich people start spending more money again, there might be more risky productions.
Times: What role do you really want to play?
MG: I/d like to play George in "Sunday in the Park with George." It/s beautifully written and I relate to its themes, which involve the isolation of an artist.
Times: Are you looking forward to moving down to Solvang?
MG: It/ll be cool. We/re doing five shows a week with no matinees. It/s a cool town and it/s always great to work outside.
Times: What/s your favorite part of doing the show?
MG: I enjoy the contrast of doing the romantic side of Bobby Child and the wacky silliness of Bela Zangler 77 that whole level of being in disguise.
(For part of the play, Child disguises himself as the wealthy Bela Zangler)
There/s a song in the show, "Embraceable You," and it/s the first time Bobby realizes that Polly/s falling in love with him and not Bella. It/s the turning point. He doesn/t tell her who he is because he doesn/t want to lose her.
And he/s realizing where the journey is going, and he doesn/t know how to handle it.

Seven Bridges - Hate Control: Chapter 16
Location: Tanabata Stage Characters: Mitsuru & Mao
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mao: Putting that aside for now, one of the main features of this year’s “Tanabata Fest” is the fact that there are a total of seven stages.
For example, Venue 1 is in the Yumenosaki courtyard while Venue 2 is in the auditorium. There are similar stages set up in a variety of places.
Thanks to the establishment of ES and the new students multiplying campaign (?), it feels like there are way too many idols… There’s no way all of them can fit in one venue.
And there’ll definitely be idols who won’t get the chance to stand on stage. “Tanabata Fest” is an event that’s only held at night, so it’s possible the night can end without their turn ever coming.
But Anzu probably didn’t want that. She’d want to let as many idols stand on stage as much as they want.
That’s why we increased the number of venues. It’s seven times what we had last year.
Of course, that meant our work also increased sevenfold and I was THIS close to dying.
Mitsuru: Are you okay? You want to stand on stage too, right, Student Council President Nii-chan?
Mao: I’m fine, I’m fine. I’m used to the hecticness. This is nothing compared to the performance that became the trigger for our revolution – AKA the very first “S1” last year that no one knew how it’d turn out.
This is an event Anzu poured all her time and effort into making a reality – I know for a fact that it’ll definitely be a success ♪
I also know that it’s highly unpredictable and that it’s something unhead-of, so it’s possible something unexpected can crop up.
Mitsuru: It’s okay! The sky’s clear too! Tanabata is a day that’s all about making wishes come true, y’know!
Mao: You’re right. Haha, I feel better after chatting with you. “Ra*bits” is great.
Mitsuru: Heheh ☆ We’re doing our best to make sure everyone knows that, y’know!
That’s why this Venue 4 is one of our challenges.
Mao: Ohh~ This area is the art division, right? Looks like you guys can’t use your usual weapons, huh.
Each of the seven “Tanabata Fest” venues have a set theme, like cute things or western music.
…Or even a sexy theme.
Mitsuru: Why were you kinda hesitant to say that?
Mao: There are a lot of female idols making an appearance this time, so it’s, uhh, one of the last things I need to see.
Mitsuru: Nii-chan also told me that’s the one venue I shouldn’t get close to, y’know! Why not? Why not? I wanna challenge everything, y’know!
Mao: You’re still too young for that… But I don’t think Venue 4 is suited for “Ra*bits” either because the theme is based on art~ You guys would be unparalleled if it was the cute venue, though.
Mitsuru: Not exactly! It looks like the culture for female idols and their audience is kinda different, so Tomo-chan and the others were saying how we might have a pretty hard time, y’know!
But it’s fun ‘cause it’s hard! It’ll make this year’s “Tanabata Fest” worth it~♪
Mao: Haha. Well, I’m happy to see you’re enjoying yourself.
Oh, I was totally speaking like a “producer” there. I’m also an idol, so I’ve gotta do my best in that aspect too.
Besides, I’m not in a position to give any sort of advice pretentiously, either.
This time, each stage has a certain theme so we kinda stand out from the crowd in the other sense; “Trickstar” doesn’t really have anything specifically unique.
We don’t particularly specialise in one thing. We’re not like “Valkryie” which has an art theme or “Akatsuki” whose concept is based on a traditional Japanese style…
But on the good side, we’re a wild card. On the bad side, we’re just “normal idols” with nothing special about us.
In a good way, we’re like a commonplace meal that anyone can eat at a family restaurant.
We don’t have any weapons like the other units. I guess that’ll be our goal in the future, huh.
Mitsuru: Hmm~? Tomo-chan says similar stuff but you guys aren’t normal at all, y’know? In my eyes, you’re all special and unique people.
Mao: I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’d like some sort of unique trait, so that everyone could see us that way. Actually, it’s always been my goal since I’ve never had anything that I could call a weapon.
That’s why, this time, we’ll break into all the venues with the mindset of learning what we can do in each of the themes.
If we’re in the cute venue, then we’ll fully embrace our cute side! If it’s the art venue, then we’ll show our artistic side! We’ll do our best and see how far we can currently get with each theme!
I feel so thrilled about it that I don’t think I can contain my excitement! It’d be nice if “Tanabata Fest” could go on forever ♪
Mitsuru: I think so too! No, I think everyone feels the same way, so I’m sure our wish will be granted, y’know!
Mao: Yeah. Anzu will definitely come up with fun events for us again, so we’ll be able to experience this happy feeling over and over again for sure.
We definitely have to work really hard and make sure this “Tanabata Fest” is a success first.
This is an event our “producer” created while thinking of us.
…Although, it does look like the things between the “producer course” and the “Peace Party” aren’t exactly straightforward. Well, it should be fine. We’ll do our best to back her up.
We’ve stood by her side and overcome our difficulties time and time again. It’s the same this time and it’ll continue that way in the future too – I’m sure of it.

What do u think abt the recent PJMS mess on twt...
@/darlinjimi turning out to be masc jimin obsessed (scary tbh) and then resorting to hate on him when he did smthg that was contrary to her ideal image of him. The way she was tweeting as if she controlled the entire pjm fandom was scary and very eye opening to me abt the fan culture in kpop
I'm only a little🤏🏻 worried abt how this affects the fandom
The depth of it all...
It wasn't a secret that she was a raging heterosexual obsessed with Jimin, but the homophobia of it all... But it makes sense. Jimin was just a tool for her, and her content was very specific and always stayed in the same category: sex. The problem was that at some point, I guess she noticed that Jimin was not providing that type of content for her to get her... creative... juices flowing. She can't post a photo like this and honestly go "I wanna sit on his legs so bad" or something like that.
Tumblr media
If you know the tiniest thing about Elvis, you'll understand why she caved in to that movie and the actor and even to the dead man himself lmao. He loved the ladieSSS, loved their attention, had that deep MANLY voice, you know. She didn't need much to start comparing Jimin to Elvis and/or the actor. Jimin was simply not useful for her anymore. Jimin was not feeding her fantasy anymore. Which is okay, at its core. It's okay if someone's not doing it anymore for you, we get over our attraction to people all the time, and people close their accounts about their interests all the time ,or they move on to other fandoms; it doesn't tell me much more kpop fandoms beyond what everyone already knows: that we're consumers. Every member of BTS and the group itself, it's all there to be consumed. Everyone is free to walk away when the content out there is not something you want to consume. A lot of armys walked away because the music and the performances was no longer to their liking. A lot of us feel the same way about that. When it comes to idols, their personalities, personas, whatever you wanna call it, it's up for consumption too. It's why they are encouraged and why they know that they have to be multifaceted and show something for everyone. Nobody needs to give the idols any instructions. The "duality" is there so the people who like them pretty and cute can have pretty and cute; but they have to be sexy and dark too so the people who like sexy and dark can have that as well. I guess one side of Jimin's "duality" was getting too big for her to ignore, and it's not the playboy side she liked. It's why Jungkook on Instagram stories was the talk of the town, because he was catering to fans. He was giving fans the sweet flirty talk, the you're mine, I'm yours, I will be your boyfriend, etc. He was being consumed. I know it sounds weird, because nobody ever puts these things into words like this, but it is what it is. We all know it's happening, we just don't really talk about it in an analysis type of way.
In this case she was angry not only because at some point Jimin stopped catering to her fantasies, but because there's something worse about it: Jimin might be gay. Maybe Jimin is not telling her you're mine or whispering sweet nothings into her ear not only because he doesn't know her, but because he might not even be interested in the female gender at all. How is Jimin not being the type of man she needs him to be for her to be attracted to him.
And here comes the thing that most people don't talk anymore about homophobia: most will be okay with you being gay as long as you aren't "rubbing it in on everyone's faces". People look at let's say Ricky Martin, and once they're past the initial shock of remembering "oh shoot he's gay", they forget that he is gay. Because he doesn't act gay, and most importantly: he doesn't look gay. He's still desirable to women and he looks and acts the way it's socially accepted for men to look and act.
On the other hand, there are other men that don't let you forget that they are gay. And darling Jimin would've been okay, she would've been just fine and could've kept doing whatever she did and not resent Jimin if he was still desirable to her. If he still acted and looked the way it's socially acceptable for men to look and act. Even Elvis could be gay as long as he's still acting like a man, you know. Someone who would pick her up in his arms and have her sitting on his legs. Unlike Jimin, who as time goes by seems less and less interested in doing any of that.
One of those freaks said something like "if he's gay he should be the top at least". And it's all because of what I said above. In the unconcious mind, there's a deep rooted idea that GIVING DICK is better than RECEIVING IT (homophobia meets misogyny). Being "the top" would mean a more manly Jimin, someone who still caters to her idea of masculinity and to the fantasy that he would be able to and would want to fuck her.
There's so much more I could say about it, sexuality and all it encompasses it's such an extensive field, but I tried to stay on topic on not bring other people into the discussion Maybe another time.
Yeah LMFAO the way she acted as if she was physically destroying something with her tweets with 5 likes. All along it's always been about her. PJM twitter and even Jimin himself had to be about her.
Anyways, Park Jimin.

Yoooo it’s your girl, this girl 🤠
So I’ve finally done the impossible,
I’ve gotten into Proseka!
Tumblr media
I’ve done NOTHING as you can see but I feel like after over 5 attempts (Attempts being me redownloading and deleting the game for reasons I can’t remember) THIS is the timeline I finally get into it!
Only reason I haven’t pulled at all yet other then the 4 star Ruki I was amazingly lucky to get they’re having an event banner with my least favorite group I’m waiting to end (Pulls in my experience are hard to save up in this game so sorry group I don’t like that much whose name I can’t be bothered to spellcheck rn)
If I had to rank the groups in this point in time it’d be
1. More More Jump!
2. Wonderland x showtime
3. Leo need
4. Vivid bad squad
5. 25 something 🫠
I’m a giant Mitchie M fan and More More jump just HAPPENS to have all my favorite vocaloid songs like- literally also I’m a slut for Idols so 🤷‍♀️
With wonderland x showtime it’s pretty much the same thing as More More jump just to a lesser degree I like Tsukasa’s “star factor” and I just find his whole “I wanted to cheer my little sister up” thing endlessly endearing (I’m a sucker for a good big brother idk) Rui Is handsome, Nene is adorable and I like Emu’s energy!
I like Leo Need’s characters and story more then their music tbh ya see as you can probably tell my personal experience with Vocaloid before this game plays a lot into my opinion of the groups and while I love J-rock and the like I never ventured much into that sphere with Hatsune Miku but I’m pretty much an infant when it comes to this whole “Sector” of vocaloid but I do like it! Especially “Roki Roki” it’s my favorite! Also Saki and Ichika are my favorite Proseka girls (My other two favorites being Minori and An)
With Vivid bad squad I think they’re cute but they don’t do much for me, but again I love An, I think Touya is cute and they do have songs I like just not as many as other groups! (Ready steady and drop candy to name some!) but dang it An is cute! I wanna eat the Candy in her hair! *Noms at nothing*
25 nightcord does absolutely nothing for me I’m sorry everybody, I have failed every emo in the classroom. You see as I’ve said previously my past experience with vocaloid plays a lot into my experience with the groups of this game and they represent a lotta different vocaloid “Sections” really well! The hip hop inspired stuff the stuff trying to be more Idoly or cheerful and even rock! And of course, Emo vocaloid (I say this with affection) It’s part of our culture damn it! But like I found vocaloid as a kid and as a kid… I was drawn to shiny pink bubblegum stuff (L.O.L was my anthem as a kid) So the emo stuff flew under my radar very easily I didn’t hear Rolling girl until last year (And I did myself a favor it’s a masterpiece!) But other then one or 2 I can’t think of I can’t think of a single 25 song I like and the characters haven’t done anything for me YET (I hope this will change)
Anyway I’m also gonna talk about D4DJ mix cause as much as I’m enjoying ProSeka I’m enjoying that more lmao
(Link to D4DJ post cause they’re sisters I guess)

Guys I’m hollering. SO MUCH AN STUFF IS GOING TO COME OUT SOON. Like did you see the next event??!! AN MODELING ! She’s in a wedding dress! I saw a fanart of Ken crying seeing An in a wedding dress and I feel you Ken.
Here’s the picture of a translation of the event description.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I guess An is like a poster child of Vivid Street and it’s so heartwarming seeing how much An loves her hometown. Plus plus, Shizuku and An interaction?! Let’s get our YYJ interaction a reality!
AND AN’S SONG IS COMING OUT SOON TOO!
I’m also still waiting for the Power of Unity event translations somewhere.
So much VBS stuff coming out and I’m so happy for them. Good for them. I think the new song that came out is alright. I think I like other VBS original songs more, but I still like this one too.
I’m here to call for more An appreciation, bc I feel like An isn’t appreciated enough by people. Like with VBS, I feel like I normally see ppl talk about Toya or Akito, which is fair. They’re both interesting characters, but An also has a pretty interesting  backstory too.
The daughter of a local retired musical legend who wants to create an event that will surpass her dad’s peak event. She greatly admires her father, her uncle Taiga, and Nagi (is Nagi like an aunt, a mentor?, we don’t know yet). She wants to help revive her hometown’s music culture by surpassing Rad Weekend, but she needs a partner. She’s lonely though. She doesn’t see her old childhood friend Haruka much ever since she became an idol, and even after she retired from being an idol, Haruka goes to another school. Her friend Mizuki also doesn’t show up to school often. She is acquaintances with Akito and his partner Toya. She knows they have the same dream as her, but even then, she’s not that close to them. Still, she doesn’t give up and keeps singing. She helps out with her dad’s cafe and maintains a friendly relationship with the locals. On the outside, An is a social butterfly who always has a smile on her face and is positive. She doesn’t mind helping out others (she did join the discipline committee bc her friend asked her), but she also wants to be doted on too (she has a thing for older sister types so I mean).
But then one day, she finds her partner. A cute, meek girl walks into her dad’s cafe lost. She runs out, but then she comes back and how could An forget someone like her (who sticks out so much compared to the usual patrons). She hears Kohane sing and knows that she’s the one, the one who can help her surpass Rad Weekend. It’s then a typical shounen story, but you get the idea. An has more depth to her than what most people originally think. It just gets buried sometimes or the fans pay more attention to the other member’s stories. Bc An’s journey keeps evolving as her partnership with Kohane grows. She realizes that Kohane is amazingly talented and goes from someone who had to guide Kohane to someone who might be left behind by Kohane. And that terrifies her. She doesn’t want to be alone again. Like she talks about it with Kohane, but her doubts are never completely cleared up, so we still have more to see in regards to her relationship with Kohane, Akito, and Toya.
So I guess when people pass up on An, I get kinda sad bc An is actually pretty interesting. I sorta HC that An is actually just burying all of her angst deep inside of herself so she can maintain her upbeat, peppy persona around people. But with Kohane, she sometimes can’t just avert her eyes from her doubts, bc Kohane’s growth only strengthens her fear of abandonment. Akito and Toya also see Kohane’s absurd growth, but are also motivated by it. So I hope that those two can help encourage her more in the future. I’d also like to see Bad Dogs struggle against Kohane’s growth too. Bc Akito would probably get intimidated by Kohane’s talent compared to his own and we know that Toya is insecure about his own life experience in comparison to the others. I’d also wonder how conflict between Akito and An as well as between Toya and An would look like. Would it be in the form of family (Akito and/or Toya being jealous of An’s supportive father), experience (An has been exposed to street music much longer than Akito and Toya), or something else we have yet to see. Bc I always kinda felt like they made it seem like ‘oh Akito has so many connections’ and ‘oh Toya is such a musical expert’ that I feel like they end up forgetting that An probably has a lot of connections too as well as music experience. Bc An knows the Weekend Garage patrons/Vivid Street folks really well (they all probably watched her grow up) as well as being a fan of her dad’s music (sure RW inspired her dream, but she still probably listened to her dad and his group practice/perform).
So yeah, TLDR, I really adore An and feel like a proud parent seeing all the stuff coming out for her lately. So let’s give her some more love too. (i’m still crying over not getting her in the SBD event).

What I Read in June/July/August 2022:
3 months for the price of one! It's a bargain. I don't think this is an exhaustive list, but I'll hit the main ones.
NOVELS/LIGHT NOVELS:
American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis
The most prestigious novel on this list, by far. I LOVED American Psycho. The insane ramblings of Patrick Bateman, investment banker and serial killer(?), as he lives in New York City. This book comes with a list of trigger warnings about as long as it is, and genuinely contained the most upsetting thing I've ever read but I still really liked it.
A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie
A book rec I got off a website I need to stop trusting, A Little Hatred is nonetheless very enjoyable! A fun multi-POV story about a fantasy world on the cusp of an industrial revolution, with all the problems that brings. Good stuff. I am excited to read the next book!
Roll Over and Die: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword Vol. 2
Listen, I'm a simple person. I like light novels. They're like reading YA, but you get to complain about weird translation choices. ROAD, as I guess you could call it, is the story of a girl named Flum who was fated to bring down the demon king, but was betrayed by a member of the party, and ends up in an awful position. I enjoy Roll Over and Die, as just kinda turn your brain off fun. It's pizza, to me.
Scum Villain's Self-Saving System Vol. 3 by MXTX
An isekai where a reader of an online stallion novel reincarnates into the role of the villain. These novels are so funny, and faelicity's translation really shines. Can't wait for the extras in volume 4 tho.
MANGA/COMICS
BL Fans Love My Brother!?
Terrible title, but a cute single-volume 4koma manga about a brother who's a big yaoi fan (and manga artist) and his relationship with his younger sister. Good stuff.
Delicious in Dungeon Vols 2-4
I didn't love the first volume of Delicious in Dungeon, but it's getting so much better as it goes along. The genuine mysteries of the dungeon and the supporting characters add a ton to the story.
Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan by Gaku Kuze
A workplace comedy about an actor and host on a Japanese children's show. The cynical humor and the jokes really hit just right for me in this one. Would recommend.
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom
Bisexual reverse harem isekai manga!!!!! I wanna read the light novel for this one.
Phantom of the Idol
Probably one of my new favorite manga ever, a really hilarious story about a reluctant male idol who ends up sharing a body with an extremely gung-ho female idol ghost. It rules. The commentary on idol culture is hilarious, and the characters all read as funny exaggerations. Definitely gonna be keeping up with this one.
The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter
A salaryman gets dragged along in a fantasy world's summoning of a teenager girl to be their holy maiden. I have a weird (bad) soft-spot for Isekai, and this is a pretty fun BL take on it. Would recommend!
Witch Hat Atelier
A little girl discovers the secret of magic, and moves into the titular atelier to learn magic from the man who lives there, along with a few other little girls. Beautiful art and adorable characters. Reading this just makes me FEEL cosy.

ughhh I sent the anon and I'm korean + grew up with 1st/2nd gen idol music so i do feel pretty negatively about the state of that terrain. personally I've moved more into k-indie music and whenever i look at the top songs on naver i just feel sad
mmhm that's a p common sentiment and discussion and ur allowed to feel however u want, korean ppl r talking all the time about the decrease in talent/effort/looks/concept and that's very debated but overall true i guess.
but i just kinda pick and choose what i'm looking at and try to have a good time? i'm not rly into 4th gen but i have a couple groups like stayc and billlie i'm rooting for cuz i think they're fun and cute and have good music. skorean pop culture rn is looking back rn and recognizing how great and impactful the highlights of first and second gen r which is cool. the industry is simply so large now that there's a ton of output and there's never a time in any music industry where 100% of the music is good. and i'm always looking for more older music, korean pop music in general feels v abundant to me. and ballads and osts have been a part of korean popular music forever and k-indie joined their ranks in the 2010s it's not like kpop is the only mainstream korean pop music. we're never gonna have back to back to back dance pop/edm hits like 2009-2012 tho :( there was a certain energy back then and a license to creativity.
