Rainy Season - Part 3
Storm Warning
Azriel Eris x Reader
We’ve got a time jump and are swapping points of view for this chapter y’all.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 4
Tumblr media
3 months later
Eris Vanserra hated the Summer Court. The humidity anywhere outside of the temperature regulated zones of Adriata, the way his hair clung to his forehead and caused curls to form in his otherwise immaculate hair, but most of all it was just insulting to be so bothered by the heat itself when he quite literally had fire in his veins. He couldn’t get out of here fast enough.
Tarquin strode alongside Eris through the open air lower levels of his keep, three of his guards and two of Eris’ own flanking them several feet behind, one could almost forget they were there if not for the “click clack” of feet echoing through the halls. Eris would be lying if he said he didn’t have to try very hard to focus on the mundane talk of trade routes and port authorities instead of getting lost to the sounds of crashing waves and gulls outside.
Tarquin broached the riveting subject of tariffs on imports from the continent as the first rumble of thunder boomed in the distance. Now that - Eris enjoyed that aspect of the court. Autumn had no shortage of rain but the turbulence of storms often mirrored his own inner peril - made him feel less alone in the world. And truthfully, there was nothing like taking cover from the rain and listening to the rumble outside, watching the lightning dance across the skies as the loud cracks of thunder commanded the attention of anyone within earshot.
“Have your people felt the same effects, High Lord?” Tarquin broke Eris from yet another drift of his thoughts. He really should have brought a secretary or advisor along for this meeting.
Sparing Eris from the embarrassment of asking Tarquin to repeat his last three minutes of speech a cry broke through the hall. The battle cry of a…. Child?
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
Followed by a yelp of “ow!”
Eris’ head jerked as he found himself drifting toward the action.
Turning a corner he found a woman laying on the ground, curled into a ball - a child of no more than 10 with a large jagged stick standing over her with his chest puffed out, pure smug joy on his face.
Eris looked to Tarquin who only grinned with satisfaction. Eris gaped before Tarquin quietly whispered, “just watch.”
The woman didn’t move. The child’s look of satisfaction slowly turning to that of concern as she lay there. He bent over the woman placing a hand on her shoulder, his brows knit together. “Lady L/N?”
So focused on the woman on the ground before him, the boy didn’t notice her arm slowly sneak around him and “Oof!” The kid let out a startled breath as she grabbed his ankle, ripping it out from beneath him, effectively leaving the child on his behind.
The female lept up into a crouching position. Her tanned, muscled thighs pushing her up to stand effortlessly. “And that, little ones, is why you never let your guard down with an adversary.”
Eris turned, wondering how he could have missed the group of children sitting on the other end of the room watching the scene unfold.
The boy remained on his behind, hands resting on his forehead in defeat.
“Hey-“ She reached a hand out to help him up. “You did a great job. You quite literally swept me off my feet! Nobody has done that in quite some time.” She paused, sadness twisting her features as if her own words struck her before shifting back to that of a proud instructor. “In fact - I have something for you.”
She reached into the pocket of her calf-length, flowy pants and reaching handing him a shell. “Add this to your leather strap.” She tapped a leather bracelet on his wrist, one shell already strung on it. “You did great, kid.” The boy gave her a genuine smile as he returned to the rest of his classmates.
Eris shifted involuntarily. How much had he wished for someone to say those words to him when he was a child?
Tarquin chuckled “An excellent motivator. Shells. Who knew?”
Eris gave a small smile - brief but genuine before adjusting back into his usual mask. The instructor turned to face them and cauldron damn him if she wasn’t the most gorgeous thing he’d ever seen. Radiant skin that came from plenty of time in the sun, silky hair that practically begged to have fingers run through it, a soft and curvy yet toned build. A body that told him she indulged herself in what she enjoyed but was active enough to define her plush features, likely blessed with great genetics - lithe yet perfectly squeezable in all his favorite places.
“High Lord.” Her voice carried to him like an ocean breeze. She bowed her head in a respectful greeting, long lashes fluttering. “How may I be of service?”
“Lady L/N,” Tarquin beamed. “It’s a pleasure to introduce you to Eris Vanserra, High Lord of the Autumn Court.”
Her brow puzzled for a brief moment before bowing her head again. “It’s an honor to meet you, High Lord.”
“A pleasure to meet you as well, lady.” Eris replied sincerely, meeting her bright eyes. “I didn’t realize Tarquin was hoarding such beauty within his keep.”
“We have many treasures in our court, High Lord. She is one of our brightest.”
Rather than blushing, the female held her head high, giving a polite “Thank you, High Lord.”
“We must be getting to lunch now. Have a pleasant rest of your class, Lady L/N.” He turned to the children with a stern look “And children, behave for her.” following the reminder with a smile and cheeky wink.
—————
It was hours later that Eris was released from meetings for the day. Unfortunately, there was still more to be discussed that would have to wait for tomorrow. Making the way to his guest suite, Eris found himself wondering about the instructor from earlier. Something about her felt vaguely familiar but he couldn’t quite place it.
After changing out of his stuffy clothes into something more befitting of the climate, Eris paced his room. He’d forgotten how much longer daylight lasted here than in his own court, with several hours remaining before dusk. He supposed he could brave the heat and take a stroll through the palace grounds, preferably without his entourage of guards.
Relieving the pair from their duties, Eris wandered through the gardens and toward a small grove of trees on the other side of the palace grounds. He could hear running water from a garden tributary that likely connected into the river that emptied into Adriata’s harbor.
Sauntering through the grove, he was pleased to find reprieve from the heat, the cool air wafting off of the stream and shade from the trees turning the grove into a private oasis. It wasn’t particularly trekked through. “Finally.” he thought to himself. A moment of peace.
Situating himself on an iron bench, Eris looked up, only to find that through a thicket of cattails, Lady L/N was standing on a rock upstream, eyes closed and balancing on one leg. Given her steady, intentional breathing he supposed she was meditating. It was odd - seeing her like this - strangely intimate to see someone in such an isolated state of catharsis, unaware of his own presence before her. The sun rays shone through cracks in the leaves, shrouding her in tiny fragments of light that made her tanned skin near golden. Her hair was wind blown from the breeze winding through the grove off the ocean, and she’d changed into a thin cotton sundress. Gods, maybe the Summer Court wasn’t so bad after all. The way it effortlessly flowed over her body perfectly accentuating her ample curves, and those tanned, toned legs - yeah, he should probably leave.
After momentary internal warring he began to stand but before he could sneak off, she gasped. Clutching her arms to her rib cage. “MOTHER FUCKER!” she screamed. Vulgar words coming from such a pretty mouth.
What an interesting method of meditation.
She took several breaths before resuming her position. Another minute went by when she audibly growled. “Bastard!!” She clutched herself again, keeling over. Finally she sat down on the rock, the hem of her dress soaking in the stream’s rippling water, and pressed her head into her hands. Eris thought she was crying.
He really should leave but - memories of his mother crying over the years flashed into his mind. All the years that she only had he or Lucien to console her, kindered spirits brought together by Beron’s casual cruelty. His other brothers being the emotionally void carbon copies of their father they were, paid no mind to their mother’s plight.
Yet still, he didn’t know her. She didn’t know him. She likely didn’t want him bothering her.
Against his better judgement, he found himself drawn in by her familiarity and approached. As he drew closer, he realized her sobs were not sobs at all. She was muttering the raunchiest, most vile slew of curses that he’d ever heard. Lucien would enjoy this female.
As he approached, she jerked her head up. The lovely, collected face from earlier twisted into one of contempt. He wondered if she knew that, that face was, well, adorable like a fierce little kitten. Although, something told him to tread carefully. She may look adorable but he’d bet good coin that her bite matched that of a lions.
“What do you want?” She spat.
Eris only smirked. “And here I thought you were a lady.”
Baiting her. Genius idea, Eris.
“Only within the palace.”
“You’re still on palace grounds.” Shrugging with the statement, Eris put his hands in his pockets - damn these Summer Court linens really were comfortable.
“Well, I was alone until you intruded.” she murmured, not meeting his eyes.
“Did you win Tarquin’s good graces with such manners?”
Her expression filled with ire as she looked up at him. “Did you take your throne by being such a prick?”
Eris couldn’t help but laugh at her bravado. This female either REALLY didn’t like him or truly didn’t care about consequences. “Ah, so you do know who I am.”
“You’re a High Lord. Of course I know-“
Her words cut off as she clutched her ribs again, tighter this time. A shudder escaping her. This time the pain seemed to last longer. And this time he could have sworn her voice cracked as she swore.
“Hey” Eris stepped into the creek, not bothering to step out of his sandals. Before he could hesitate he crouched down before her, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Breathe.”
The thing was, he recognized that pain well. It has been centuries but damn he remembered it so clearly.
“Breathe through it. Think of something that makes you smile.”
She clutched herself harder, shaking her head. “Think of the look on your student’s face when you gave him that shell today.”
She breathed in deeply this time instead of letting out another curse.
“Good. Hold for three beats.”
“Now let the breath out.”
She breathed out. “In again.” He instructed. She followed suit. “Now out.”
As her breath steadied, she met his eyes - momentarily soft, a little broken, before ire crossed them again.
“For fucks sake, High Lord.” She spat. “I came here to meditate. I know how to breathe.”
She sure as shit seemed to have forgotten how to for a moment there, but he kept that to himself.
He only let out a soft laugh.
“There she is.”
She scowled in return.
“So, Lady L/N” he began, standing and extending a hand to help her up.
“Y/N.” She interjected, taking his hand. “Call me Y/N.”
Y/N. Fitting, he thought. The kind of name a tropical storm would be given.
Wait. Y/N L/N. Oh, he knew exactly why she was so familiar now. No wonder she’d given him that puzzled look in the palace. And, if Eris recalled correctly, his brother actually was rather fond of her - in a friendly and platonic sort of way. Though in his tales of the Night Court he’d certainly never mentioned the fact that she looked like a gods damned deity.
He led her out of the creek, not quite ready to drop her delicate hand. “So, Y/N, tell me about this idiot mate that let the Summer Court’s brightest treasure go.”
She gaped, jaw dropping into a look of genuine shock. “How-“
“I had one too. I believe you know her.”
—————
Eris and Y/N spent hours talking in the grove. He gave her all the details of his mate, Morrigan. How it killed him to leave her that fated day. Had he touched her, his mate, Beron would have claimed her as Autumn Court property requiring a Blood Duel for the Night Court to retrieve her. Though, Beron would have ensured she never left unharmed. That aside, Eris didn’t want that blood on her hands, the blood of a blood duel or any battles over her. He didn’t want it on his hands either. It killed him to feel her pain down the bond starting from their forced engagement and through the torture her father had inflicted upon her, and the trauma that lingered thereafter. The gut-wrenching, immobilizing pain that only a mate could feel shooting through to them.
He never wanted her to feel that pain. If it hurt him that badly to only feel it down the bond, he couldn’t imagine the strife she’d felt. He wanted to run to her, to comfort her, to tell her everything he couldn’t risk saying. He was too young to face the ramifications from his father and he had his mother and Lucien to protect in those days. So he protected her in the only way he knew how to at the time. Through cold, calculated indifference. He still regretted it.
As time went on, the mask he wore became heavier and heavier, burying that bond deeper within himself. It took him until after the war with Hybern to finally lay it all out to her. Y/N never knew any of that part of the story. She knew Mor and Eris had made amends but nothing of their bond, and she knew that Mor was happily committed to Emerie, an Illyrian female now. He was happy for his mate, as happy as a rejected mate could be.
Eris never claimed to have been in the right. In fact, what he did to Mor was wrong. The way he spoke to her as if she was no more than a common whore when facing her in front of his father at the High Lord’s meeting. Yes, it was an act but it was never okay. He’d live with that for the rest of his days. His apologies to her since never felt like enough.
Y/N empathized with Eris. He could see that she was torn but her gaze toward him softened although, never into that of pity. He liked that about her.
She shared the story of her mating bond with Azriel. And how the waves of anger and grief down the bond had increased in strength recently as she had continued healing. She laughed bitterly at the typical trajectory of females in her situation getting better over time while unfaithful males seemed to spiral as it went on. She didn’t say who he had cheated on her with but Eris had his suspicions. The Shadowsinger apparently had a thing for Vanserra mates. She laughed and cried over the hours they talked. They’d eventually ended up back in a palace seating area for a drink.
Eris hadn’t been so open with someone like this in so long that it felt foreign. Hell, opening up always felt unnatural for him. Perhaps he was stupid for sharing with her. After all, mating bonds could make people do crazy things. She could always take Azriel back and share the details of his little sob stories with the Night Court.
She’d occasionally let out a sharp breath as small jolts of emotion came rolling in. It was nearing dusk when she finally huffed, slapping her hands on her thighs saying, “Enough! This tea is weak. I need something stronger.” Pouring them each a glass of brandy, and another, and another.
As the conversation shifted from the heavier topics to lighter ones, Eris let it slip that he wasn’t fond of the summer court and found all of the sand and humidity to be unpleasant at best.
Her inhibitions were down and if Eris were being honest with himself, his were too. He hadn’t drank much since becoming a High Lord though he often felt the need for a stiff drink. No, there was too much work to be done and he was still getting his own inner circle acclimated. Trust was harder to give in the Autumn Court, especially after being under his father’s rule for so long. There were plenty of good people in the castle but just as many were corrupted under Beron’s rule. Weeding them out was consuming more of his time than anticipated.
Somehow, after their fourth drink, Y/N dragged him out onto the beach, determined to show him all the merits of the crusty, sand-infested shores.
Admittedly, her joy was contagious but he was going to make her work for any positive reaction.
“Okay!” She eagerly squealed. “First - sand castles! Have you ever built one?”
“I live in a castle.” Eris feigned boredom, inspecting his nails. “It seems unnecessary to build one out of… that.” his nose scrunched up, lip curling into a sneer as he gestured to the sand surrounding them.
“Ughhh.” Her eyes rolled back into her head as her little sun dress blew in the wind. And damn if he wouldn’t love to see her eyes going back into her head like that in other circumstances.
He was a gentlemale but a male nevertheless.
“Being High Lord doesn’t mean you have to be such a bore, but fine… No sand castles. Maybe next time!”
Next time. He liked the thought of that. My how far she’d come from practically snarling at him just this morning.
“Look!” She squealed, bringing her hands to her chest and clapping with excitement. “Dolphins! Now I know you don’t have those in the Autumn Court, Eris Vanserra.”
Fuck, his name sounded so good coming off of her lips.
He couldn’t resist smiling at her enthusiasm and then at the dolphins. They swam so peacefully in a pod through the harbor. One even let a young water wraith trail alongside it as a hand carefully gripped onto its dorsal fin as the creature pulled her along.
“The wraiths and dolphins coexist well together.” Y/N mused wistfully. “There’s a common misconception that they are territorial due to food supply but they have plenty in the harbor.”
She smiled softly. “The younger wraiths tend to bond with them and the dolphins have even been known to protect them from certain dangers.”
As the pair continued walking along the shore, the conversation occasionally faltered as Y/N would stare off distantly, as if looking for something that wasn’t there.
His heart ached for her. From what he’d gathered during their talk, she’d left the Shadowsinger, but the heart is slow to heal after losing a mate in any capacity.
Eris nudged her with his shoulder. “Hey little minx, where’d you go?”
Coming back to reality she halted. “Oh! Oh my gods. The sun is setting and you have to come with me! Hurry.”
She grabbed his wrist and he didn’t hesitate to follow along as she all but dragged him down the beach. “Hurry! We’ll miss them!”
They ran until reaching a secluded inlet of the bay. They climbed up a small rocky ledge where she sat, dangling her feet over the edge. “There’s an underwater cave-“ she breathed heavy, catching her breath. “here, beneath us and every night-“ another pause to breathe. “something magical happens as the sun sets.”
Eris, catching his own breath, waited patiently for more details but she only dropped a small pebble into the water and as she did, a rainbow of luminescent fish rippled to life below the surface. There had to be thousands of them, leisurely swimming out of the cave as if they were just waking up. Shades of bright pink, green, blue, orange, and purple lit up the small inlet. Eris was awestruck, so awestruck in fact that he didn’t hesitate planting his ass next to her on the crusty sand-coated ledge.
With a wave of her wrist she pulled a bottle of rum out from the pocket realm, tugging the cork out with her teeth and taking a swig, then handing it over to him.
They sat in silence as the remaining fish left the inlet and the remaining colors of the sunset disappeared into night. Clouds began rolling in as they drank and began chatting again. Much like that morning, thunder rolled in but this time he was disappointed to hear it. He didn’t want the evening to end, wasn’t ready to let her go quite yet.
He wished he’d had a warning before the ocean winds blew this wild, beautiful storm into his life that morning. Something to brace himself against the inevitable fallout of the precarious situation he found himself in. It was a storm he was prepared to ride out and he had a feeling it would be worth whatever debris she’d leave him with.
The base of the distant thunder rumbling, the cymbal-like crash of waves on the shore, and singing of the creatures of summer nights blended together into a beautiful melody that flowed through Eris. Quickly he stood, extending a hand to her. “Dance with me, Y/N?”
She froze, that distant look crossing her eyes again for a second. He braced himself for her decline but the life returned to her eyes as a smile graced her full lips. She accepted his hand and didn’t hesitate as he tucked her into his chest, her warmth and scent lulling him into a state of bliss.
No, Eris Vanserra did not hate the Summer Court at all.
————————
This was a long one and I know it wasn’t from our girls POV but I hope you all enjoyed it 🥹 Stay tuned for more! Her story is not done yet.

SHAMELESS OPINIONS: S6 (cause Mickey's write off hurt and after s5, I watched again from s1 and forced myself to keep watching + no one around me likes Shameless so I need a place to vent)
overall: it's a meh season with strong plotlines
The F Word is SUCH a bop, my boy Gus ate. Sorry Fi, I really like you, but boo, you had it coming.
I get the whole controversy with Sean, trust me I do, but I enjoyed the dramatics of the relationship. He was way too hypocritical tho, the scene with the gun, as scary as it was, rubbed me the wrong way. I wouldn't blame Fiona or Carl for that. As someone raised in a house full of guns, I was taught to never ever go near one. Curiosity killed the cat with Will and he was obviously scared, but Sean my boy, no. I felt Sean sort of blended well with the family, understood dysfunction all too well so that's probably why, but at the end of the day, it was a scabbing wound.
The wedding scene, Fuck Frank, ik he helped Fiona dodge a bullet, but at the end of the day, it was never really about Fiona, it was about his damn ego as always. The whole situation was shitty for everyone and I felt for her, really. The bridge scene was dope as hell. Bravo. Cinematic.
With the Debbie v Fiona, I was honestly on Fiona's side most of the time. A decision like this, in their way of living, oof, and Fiona made it clear she wasn't gonna be in charge of another kid. Harsh, but... I wouldn't do it either. But the reality is, Debbie has always been around kids, and very clearly wanted to be a mother, as early as s1. It's just... timing wasn't right. But to tackle a teen to the ground??? Wtf. A grown ass woman. Girl. No.
Oh Lip... his lip ain't doing good. As fucked as the whole Helene thing was, no relationship has ever made more sense to me than that one (for all the wrong reasons) Mommy issues as bright as day right there. And the fact that he couldn't recognize that and saw it as a normal college Tuesday makes me pity him. People don't agree with the relationship, and they're right, they shouldn't, but not because it's a bad storyline. It should make you feel uncomfortable because it is, but that's something that sooner or later, was bound to happen with him. That scene where he walks to the bar and yaps like Frank does with a beer in his hand, and everyone in disbelief... oof...
EMT IAN. NEED I SPEAK??? My baby... Those first episodes were so hard for him... Fucking Lip being insensitive at times... FUCK Ian makes me cry. Him standing his ground to get the job back, oh lord. There's a deleted scene that should've stayed but oh well. Anyway. I love him.
Don't even get me started on Gallavich. The scene with Lana on patsies cuts me. That prison scene breaks me without fail every time. I can't. I just couldn't envision, if things really went without having to call back Noel for ratings and views in s7, that the prison scene would be -it- for them... His leave was horribly handled too... but alas...
Caleb??? I have much to say about him in s7, but he... isn't half bad here... Don't love him, but he's alright. Motivated our ginger boy to get a job that gave him purpose, gave him soft smooches and little lunches, and taught him to receive softness. I love those things but not because it comes from him, more so because Ian deserves those gestures. The HIV conversation was handled well I think??? Don't have any particular complains... yet
Frank's storyline at the start of the season interested me, with the cancer lady and whatnot, not a fan of indulging Debbie into grooming, but it's Frank, and Frank is a fucking pos, but as soon as Queenie comes along I got so fucking BORED. Just not my cup of tea, the whole organic storyline put me to sleep. Kind of wish Debbie wasn't involved cause I think her pregnancy journey had more potential than ending up with Queenie. Idk that whole thing was just boring for me.
White boy Carl... eh, it is what it is, seemed in character enough ig, everyone expected part of this future to head that way so, yeah. Nick... so many mixed feelings like everyone else. I just feel for him man, that situation was horrendous. That, along with 3x666 are the only two scenes where I can't like... they're hard to stomach, for obvious reasons ik, but yeah. That was tough. I feel like it was fun to see Carl with his shenanigans, somewhat cringe but I can't pinpoint if it's because of E's performance or shitty writing.
Mandy and Ian's moment, holy fuck. That made me tear up. Mandy my beloved... I hope you're doing well.

*breathes deeply
Oof. This was a lot. Dabi knowing he should leave but he can't because he has to know just what this guy is to Shig. It doesn't really seem that Dabi knows a whole lot about the kink scene, just by the way he described everything happening.
Dabi shifting back because he gets horny and gets off to them. 🫣 I don't know how to feel. Although knowing Dabi, he's also getting off on the shame of it too. (You know the author's good when you also feel like an uncomfortable voyeur.)
Dabi realizing that he could never have Tomura that way, because he's just a cat to him. Even if he was to reveal himself, there's the chance that Tomura would hate him for lying. That and the fear of rejection that comes with the fact that he'd been lying for months. Pretty much spying on him and using him. My heart can't take this.
Oh everyone knows, whoops.
Dabi moping after the incident, debating whether to leave or not is heartbreaking. He tries to punish himself, but that makes Shig worry so he can't do that. He can't leave either because that'd hurt him too. He's stuck because it's either him or Shigaraki suffering, and he really doesn't want Shig to suffer more because of him. 😢
No! That does not mean stop being human.
Oh, we get to see how a meeting with the less favorable League members go. Exciting!
...
...
...
TANCO WHAT THE FUCK?!?!!
So AFO bribed Moonfish with flesh to kill the 'distraction' Tomura is having. And Dabi nearly died. (How the fuck could you do this to Tomura on his birthday? He did not wish for his cat to almost die.)
The only thing Dabi thinks about while dying is Tomura hurting again. His job was to make Tomura happy and he failed at that. Agajfkrbee Dabi not expecting to be sad when he dies again fucking hurts. (He knows the League will take care of Tomura, that's sweet)
"Being Onigiri was worth every pain of being Toya and Dabi because they brought him to Tomura." 😭😭😭😭😭😭 He was happy, that's why it was worth it. He didn't think he deserved happiness, and he got it anyway and didn't want to let it go. He agrees to stay alive because he's not gonna let down Tomura. Because Tomura cares and he can't do that again. 😭😭😭😭
I can now see how you made yourself cry. You made me fuckin cry too.
Recovery is a bitch. Dabi promising to do better for the League, because there's no way he'd be doing it for himself.
Dabi hating the cone like a true cat.
Toga trying to make Shig and Keiro happen because she wants the drama and she's a romantic at heart. And her getting the pet stairs. Toga is such a sweetheart. I love her so much. Dabi trying to condition Shig to hate Endeavor.
Tomura standing up to AFO. I'm so cheering for him. Especially because he tried to fucking kill Onigiri. You don't go after a man's cat.
Stain's back! Watching Spinner and Toga lose it over their idol. And Stain just not caring lol. He just shuts them both down. It's interesting to see your take on Stain, since he's never been a major part of your writing before. I adore how you write characters and Stain is no different.
Taking buttons? Oh however can Dabi abuse them? Immediately demanding treats. Not surprising. Aww a pet button, how cute.
...I'm crying again damnit. Dabi just can't. Tomura doesn't understand because he's just a cat, and Dabi wants him to know. He wants Tomura to know so bad he wants to cry only to find out he can't. My heart can't take this anymore.
Tomura admitting to bring Stain back as a bodyguard for Onigiri. Because he couldn't handle that loss again. He's nearly lost Oni twice and he's so determined to keep him around.
It's cute that Stain tells Onigiri he did a good job helping Shig. Because it really was the cat.
First babysitting job for the cat. Tomura learned his lesson with Toga and now has instructions for the treat jar. Dabi being smug that he has more hidden. His favorite button. 🥺
WHAT?! Stain knows?! You broke my brain. Officially gone. Does that mean Stain's a shifter too? Is that how he got around unnoticed for so long? I have so many questions now.
Dabi has two choices, be a dumb cat, or tell the truth. And we know Dabi isn't gonna tell the truth.
God this chapter was such an emotional rollercoaster. I ate it up though and I can't wait for more. May the Muse be with you my friend.
Tumblr media
YES, YESS, YEEEESSSSSS!!!
Dabi was such a mess this chapter from the voyeurism, to nearly dying, to confessing his feelings, to getting found out! He was going through it!!!
Stain is so immediately done with his fan club, Onigiri is the only one who gets a pass!
Dabi does have to immediately abuse the buttons, you can bet that Shigaraki had to hide the "treat" button as soon as they brought it upstairs
I'm so excited for the next chapter and I'm so glad you enjoyed this one! Thank you so much for commenting!

Seeing that the children love you and your interesting face, she opened the nursery doors wide for you
She really needs help 🙂
She likes to sit and talk with you during breaks and hear your interesting memories
She will sleep on your lap in a 15-minute break, she loves the feeling of the fabric of your clothes on her face
The two of you were talking while the kids were watching from the sidelines, the principal suddenly came in
You buried your face in her arms, April trying to hide you behind her back as much as she could
"Oh bossss- Did you... Did you cut your hair?"
He was bald.
After a long silence, the boss laughed
"Oh, yes I know you would notice that. Isn't it cool?"
Thanks to love of Big Mama, this man was so stupid
Chaotic gfs saved their ass today too

MIKEY
Everyone knows Mikey was blown away by what he watched
"YES GUYS YOU NEED TO TRUST ME, I SAW THE YOKAİ AT THE BACKGROUND OF THIS VIDEO!"
"Mmhh yeah, you know what Micheal? You should stop watching that kind of videos."
He will have to go on a solo mission to save the other people
He shouts into the darkness with a shaky voice as he enters
"Hey Yokai...?"
When he raises his lantern, he makes a scream that will make the whole building groan
"Wait Leo? Why are you here-"
His brother's face turns white. Yeah he is not lying.
Screaming he goes inside his shell, his lantern shattered when it fell to the ground
He realizes that you are getting closer to his shell because of converging giggles
This scene would have been scarier if you hadn't really stepped on the lantern and ruined it
"OOF-" He slowly lifts his head out of his shell while you rub your aching hip
"Are you... Are you that lady from video?"
"What."
At the end of the day, you find yourself eating a sandwich with the orange turtle
Trying to make time to come to you
He really like the design of the dress, he makes one for himself too
Wow you two are matching, you definitely look so pretty
He will force his siblings to meet his new girlfriend
At first everyone thought it was fake like the previous time but when they came to your place, you had a little surprise for them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DONNIE
He was having "fun" with his family
Mikey was pacing around excitedly, Leo pissed him off and Raph... Raph is alright kinda?
Plus his dad was here too
Oh my Einstein, he wasn't in the mood to lift them today
Mikey pointed to a yokai sitting on the banks and whispered to them
"Doesn't she looks like... BİG MAMA-"
Splinter pushed them all behind the bushes
"Dad, you should talk to her."
"Wait, wha-"
"Relaaax dad, you will be fine!"
Donnie doesn't think this is such a good plan
"Guys, do you think Big Mama is really Big mama?"
Leo snorted and pushed his forefinger to his twins cheek
"C'mon Donald, I know you don't like her but don't be a-"
They all turned their heads to Big Mama and Splinter with the scream
"I knew it."
White faced woman turned her head to the brothers
You know what, Donnie really liked you. You helped him forget the boring day
He spoke to you while his family was in the front
Your relationship progressed from here
Your clothes caught his attention
Donnie is really good at designing clothes, he will make himself one too and wear it at festivals
He really like when you surprise his brothers (especially Leo) with your face
Now he have photos to blackmail them

Rewatching Good Omens season 2 liveblog
Episode 2, ‘The clue’ post 4
Link to previous post
Starting off strong with
FUCK
OFF
GABRIEL
Step in a puddle with socks on.
Tumblr media
*when my boss is watching me work and I don’t know what I’m doing*
Tumblr media
Azi and Crowley were such a disaster in this scene, just winging it. But Azi LIED for the first time!! This was so important because we saw him have to make a choice, and he had to do it quickly. So he went with what his true ethnical orientation is-to protect Jobs family. So this part of the flash back is really quite poignant for Azi. It’s the moment he feels like he fell, and was suddenly no longer safe.
Then when we’re back in the bookshop we find out Crowley just left at some point while Azi was staring at that picture? Did he try to get his attention? Does this happen allot? Crowley doesn’t seem at all concerned so I feel like it does happen a fair bit that Azi gets kinda lost in something and Crowley just goes out for a stroll until his Azirphale is ready to talk about whatever it was.
His lil concerned/traumatised face I can’t.
Tumblr media
FUCK OFF AND BANG YOUR FUNNY BONE ON THE DOOR AS YOU LEAVE GABRIEL.
I’m sorry that was an automatic reaction. He’s actually kinda cute in this scene with his lil ‘am I bad now?’
Tumblr media
‘Gotcha’
GOTCHA. David really killing it with the line delivery this season. I love Nina’s character because she just rolls with it, and Crowleys like ‘oh a human who isn’t completely put off by my weird ass’ and I think that’s why he respects her and listens to her later on when she tells him to talk to Aziraphale. She’s not put off by him even though she literally saw him skull 6 shots of espresso, get hit by lightning and then ask her about rain and the girl who has a crush on her over the road? Like this is the weirdest mother f-er she’s ever met and she’s like ‘ok and what?’ He respects that. We respect Nina in this house.
Tumblr media
STOP HIS LITTLE HEAD POPPING OUT. And did he miracle out there? There was the miracle sound when his head popped up. Why is he so cute. And I love how we can see Crowley was just wandering around waiting for Azirphale to come find him, he didn’t go anywhere he just waited for Azirphale to be ready. I just reminded myself of the final episode…shit…
Tumblr media
“Oh.” Again. This is like the fifth ‘Oh’ Crowleys done when Aziraphale says something clever this episode it’s fucking cute.
Tumblr media
This is apparently the Good Omens book this absolute FUCKWIT is holding. I’m sorry I’ll try to tone down the aggression he’s Jim not Gabriel Jim not Gabriel…
Tumblr media
#season 3 vibes with Azi sitting alone? Lol I’m in pain.
Tumblr media
But this ending scene was…oof. The symbolism of Aziraphale sitting alone, thinking he’s fallen then Crowley comes to be with him. He didn’t have to do that at all, he could’ve just left. But he went and looked for Aziraphale knowing he must be struggling.
He’s such a sweet not-lad who pretends to be big and scary but really he’s a softy.
Their conversation was so sweet and we again see how Crowley is kind to those who he can tell have good intentions. Crowley teased him in the cellar about going to hell but he could see this was a time to be serious. He was honest and admitted it was lonely to be on your own side. I think this is the moment where they really connect for the first time. They were very much themselves here, with no walls up.
On their characters-Crowley doesn’t seem to have much sense of self worth and I think that is what allows him to be so brash and confident. He doesn’t think he’s worth anyone caring what happens to him. And he is working within an impossible system so figures he might as well do what he wants and deal with the consequences later. He’s bitter and has mostly given up trying to make any big change, he just does the best he can with what he has at the time.
But Aziraphale is very idealistic and believes he can do good on a large scale. He believes he has potential and has tainted that by lying/going against gods will. And he believes this because he lacks confidence in his own judgement. He’s very intelligent, but still stuck in a very closed cycle of thinking. And honestly, that hasn’t changed a whole lot since. He’s made some headway, but he is still holding onto the same ideals more or less.
But despite Aziraphale idealistic side he is drawn to the confidence and freedom Crowley seems to possess. He appreciates his honesty and straightforward nature. Crowley says and does the things Azirphale knows is right, but can’t/won’t admit. I think in a way he also needs Crowley to give him permission to do ‘bad’ things, he wouldn’t do them alone but Crowley is an accomplice that gives him confidence.
Crowley is drawn to the pure hearted nature Aziraphale possesses. He’s drawn to Aziraphales unending hope that things can be good in the world. Aziraphale is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. And it’s a very forceful Ray of sunshine. He respects Aziraphales desire to do the right thing. Again, same with Muriel and Jobs kids. He is drawn to those who remind him of himself before he fell. He sees himself before he was hurt, before he lost all his hope and before he became bitter and angry. Maybe he thinks it’s to late for him, but it’s not to late for him to preserve those who still possess what he’s lost.
Long story short I’m obsessed with this flashback. And it shows just how LONG Azirphale has been struggling. Crowley had his moral compass pretty well oriented even back then. But Azirphale is still struggling all the way up until the last episode where that struggle really explodes and causes them to fly apart.
Ironically, this flashback illustrates how the thing that caused them to fly apart was also the thing that brought them together in the first place!
And I’m sad now so here’s a cute smiling Crowley bc he deserves the world

Heyyyy! Can I request 2, 6, and 21 for the excerpt ask? 😌 Thanks!
Hiya f-oighear! Of course you may, and one of these is pretty long, but I hope you enjoy 🥰~!
2 that makes me laugh
There’s quite a few that make me laugh, but this particular scene from COTF Chapter 23 always makes me giggle:
The children blinked at Yami’s words. A versus battle? They looked at each other with a mixture of excitement, confusion, and a bit of fear.
“ Alright! This is awesome!” Hikari and Brielle shouted excitedly, their eyes lit up as though it were christmas morning. Josslyn snorted slightly.
“ This is going to be a bloodbath,” Josslyn said with a shake of her head, then she turned to look at Ezio. “ Rest in Peace Pinky.” Ezio suddenly looked at her eyes wide in disbelief.
“ ‘P-Pinky’?! Your hair’s pink too, Joss!” Ezio shouted, his voice slightly high pitched. Josslyn couldn’t help but laugh a bit.
“ Alright then, the first person is; Hikari and,” Charlotte pulled out another lot. “ Ezio.”
“ I repeat. Rest in Peace Pinky.” Josslyn said, turning towards the pink haired boy, this time putting her hands together in mock prayer. Ezio could do nothing as he gaped like a fish out of water, but Hikari smiled brightly at him.
“ This’ll be fun! Do your best out there Ezio!” Hikari said, Ezio just stared at her as his face paled. As Charlotte began to draw more lots Ezio muttered under his breath how he was too young to die.
6 that i struggled with, but triumphed over
Oof I’ve had a lot, they were mainly pregnancy and birth fics, but there was one scene in particular that I really struggled with, and it wasn’t a pregnancy or birth fic; it was actually a fight between Yuno and his OC daughter Miku in COTF: Shadows!
“ Is something wrong?” Miku asked as she gently closed her book and set it aside, worry etched into her eyes that something had happened to Kya again.
“ No, nothing's wrong,” Yuno quickly said, but her father’s eyes betrayed him. “ I just wanted to ask you something.” Miku nodded slowly.
“ Can we push your training back again?” She blinked in surprise at her father’s question, before the surprise turned into exasperation and annoyance.
“ But it’s already been pushed back twice!” Miku said as she sat up straighter, and her voice slightly exasperated. She had been looking forward to training with her dad again, his smile turned sad and regrettable.
“ I know, and I’m sorry, but-,” Yuno tried, but he heard his eldest child sigh in irritation as her fists clenched the edge of the couch tightly.
“ ‘But something came up’, that’s what you were going to say, right?” Miku muttered, her tone becoming very annoyed. “ Something always seems to come up whenever you and I try to train.”
“ I’m sorry, Miku, I promise we’ll train tomorrow. I’ll clear my entire afternoon, how does that sound?” Yuno bargained, but he watched his daughter roll her eyes before she stood up, which made his eyes narrow a bit.
“ Yeah, right,” She grumbled as she walked towards the door. “ You’ll clear your afternoon, some nobles will come to visit or something else will come up, and you’ll push it back again. If I were Kya or Kito this wouldn’t happen.”
“ Hey,” Yuno called after her, his tone soft but holding a serious sternness to it. “ You know this is my job Miku, and it’s a 24 hour 7 day a week one that doesn’t give me time off or a chance to rest. I know it’s hard, but you just have to be patient-.”
Miku stopped walking and spun around when she heard those words leave her father's mouth, her purple eyes held a fiery anger in them. Her fists clenched at her sides, and she stomped her foot down onto the wooden floor with such force that it made a loud ‘boom’ echo though the room.
“ Patient?! I’m tired of being patient, dad, I’m tired of waiting while everyone else gets a turn or a moment with you! I’m tired of always having to be the grown up and waiting my turn!” Miku shouted angrily. “ I’m starting to think you and mom are pushing my training back on purpose!”
“ I asked Miku if it was alright that we push back her training to tomorrow, and she…got upset.” Yuno muttered with a shrug, and Miku glared icily at her father.
“ I’m not upset,” She exclaimed angrily as she stomped her foot against the ground. “ I’m just mad because you’re being a jerk and aren’t keeping your promise to spend time with me!”
“ Hey, don’t call your father a jerk,” Neva warned seriously as she looked at her daughter. “ Apologize. Now.”
“ No, I won’t!” Miku said angrily at her mother. “ Why should I when he’s a liar and keeps breaking his promise to train with me? He always says he’s too busy and can’t drop everything, but when Kya went missing he was able too!”
“ So it’s just that you don’t trust me to take care of her? Or is it that you don’t want to give her to me? Or did you already promise her to Kya?!” Neva quickly shook her head at her daughter.
“ That isn’t it either Miku, your father’s only saying that taking on Sylph is a big responsibility, and that he wants you to mature a little more before he-.” She tried to tell her, but instead of cooling her daughter's temper, she seemed to fan the flames instead.
“ You two just don’t want me to inherit Sylph and always want me to be dependent on you!” Miku shouted as she backed away from her parents.
“ That isn’t true-!” Neva began, but Miku’s gaze shot towards her mother.
“ Yes it is! You just want me to stay weak, like you!”
“ Miku Vega!” Yuno shouted, his voice raising for the first time during the entire disagreement. He could handle any insult their eldest daughter threw at him, but he wouldn’t allow her to insult and be disrespectful to her mother.
“ I hate you both,” The girl muttered. “ And I never want to see either of you again!” She shouted before running out of the library, leaving her parents standing there irritated and somewhat dumbfounded.
21 that i liked, but had to cut
Actually…I don’t have any 😅. The reason I don’t have any? Because I usually end up deleting what doesn’t work, even if I like it, and I either use it somewhere else or it just gets lost in the void. But, i did find two different excerpts for “Dandelions”! One is an “alternate” way that the beginning could have gone, and the other is when the two break up!
William frowned, he remembered there being papers on his desk about a person smuggling in goods without the proper documents a while back. They hadn’t been able to locate the person, but they did know they went by the name ‘Cinnamon’.
Wait, ‘Cinnamon’?
He looked at the shop's sign again before looking at the woman. No way, this couldn’t be.
“ Is the owner around?” William asked suddenly as he walked away from the bench and towards some other plants.
“ Did…I do something wrong?” He asked softly as he came to stand beside her.
“ No, you didn’t.”
“ Then…is the date not to your liking?”
“ No, it’s been perfect.”
“ Is it because of my scar?”
“ Of course it’s not because of your scar.”
“ Then please tell me what it is so that I can fix it!”
“ You can’t fix it William. You can’t.” Zera said defeatedly as she turned to look at him, her eyes held tears in them that she tried to desperately blink away.
William watched as she slowly pulled her engagement ring off her finger, grabbed his hand gently, and placed the ring in the center of his palm.
“ I’m sorry.”

(Netflix) Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ep. 2
Oof. Spoilers.
Man this is rough. I am trying to meet this thing halfway, but some of these scenes are like high school theater bad. A lot of the adult actors are just phoning it in. Not the guy playing Zhao, though. That dude's having a good time.
Wasn't super in love with Avatar Kyoshi showing up, story-wise. Looked badass, for real, but this story is about Aang and everybody. We're supposed to be seeing what Aang can do. I dunno, man. Just kinda sat bad with me.
I think maybe because it felt like pandering to me? I know Kyoshi's a fan favorite for some reason, not sure why. I think she pops in for all of about ten minutes in the whole cartoon. (I guess she got a comic run or something?) She's always struck me as like the Boba Fett of ATLA, I guess. In the show for a hot minute but everybody's convinced she's the coolest, kind of thing. So it felt a little like the show was pandering to that attitude instead of telling the story, maybe?
Suki was awesome, love her, she should be in more of the show. Her actress was pretty great, too. Love the "hidden from the world and mad about it" thing for her. Makes sense. Absolutely no way in hell she wiped all that make up off in two seconds with a couple swipes of a towel, though. "Tell me you've never tried taking a faceful of Halloween makeup off without telling me..." and so on.
Not too sure about Aang being scared of/worried about his power? Like, it makes sense. It could work. And later on in the cartoon, after he'd had a chance to flex and accidentally hurt some folks, we did get some of that. But in episode two? Mmm. I dunno. A lot of his journey in the first season of the cartoon was about him being a lighthearted little clown who also happened to be kind of a badass Airbender on the side, and him learning to take things seriously, and I feel like it's doing his character a bit of a disservice to cut that short.
Jeez. Iroh is just fucking painful to watch. It's like the writers have no idea what his character is about, and the actor has no idea how to play him. I remember seeing about thirty seconds of an interview with the actor and he seemed really into the role and geeked about playing Iroh. I had high hopes for him. But damn this is bad.
The kid playing Zuko is doing all right with what they're giving him, though. Sokka's actor is doing a pretty solid job, too. I look forward to seeing more of those two, and Suki, too.
The scene pacing is really off in this, though. It's just slaughtering the laugh lines. What the hell.

Okay, takeaways from "The Avatar Returns" :)
-The scene showing Sokka putting on warpaint paired with Zuko getting on his Fire Nation armor is fun :) Zukka rights
-I forgot that Sokka...wasn't that good at fighting when the show started lol. Seeing him get kicked down by Zuko was an oof moment. But then seeing Zuko get bonked by the boomerang & immediately after that knocked down by Aang was pretty funny xD
-That said...Sokka just STANDING there & not moving as this big ass ship comes toward him is honestly heartbreaking. He probably had a lot of guilt over how the last raid went. You're just sitting there as the audience & begging him to move & he won't, he's just standing there, trying to protect his village :(
-I also like how Sokka asking Katara if she's willing to choose Aang over her people is the thing that gets Katara to turn back. This episode drills in that Sokka & Katara have a lot of loyalty to their people & to each other.
-Zuko yelling at Aang that's he just a child & Aang responding "you're just a teenager" & Aang saying "have you ever tried?" when Sokka tells him they can't fight the Fire Nation with fun & Aang coming up with a list of fun stops for them on their journey the North Pole....<3 <3 <3 <3 Aang's persistent reactions to everything as a CHILD & determination to always find the fun <3 The way he recognizes even his enemy as "just a teenager" <3
-Gran Gran telling Katara that she gave her hope & telling Sokka to "be nice to his sister" as her parting words before their journey is a really interesting moment. It's sweet & both siblings hug their grandmother & she's showing support for their mission to save Aang. It's a nice moment, I don't want to undermine that but it also poses an interesting setup where we see that Katara is considered special because of her water bending & Sokka is constantly subtly (though NOT purposefully) put down because of it. The insecurity over Katara's bending & powers that Sokka feels is something that's prevalent throughout the entire show. Despite this inherent competitive nature to their relationship & the jealousy, Sokka feels toward his sister, their loyalty to each other shines through & they work together to go & save Aang. I'm sure there are no parallels any of us can draw there or anything, just an observation :)
-APPA FLYING <3 That is all. I just really love that moment. I love Sokka flipping his shit & then seeing Katara smirk & trying to play it cool. Love it so much <3
-I like the parallel that Aang plans to "go home to look for the other Airbenders" not even remotely having processed the news that they're extinct & Zuko is talking about how this is his chance to "go home" & we'll later learn that home is a dysfunctional & toxic mess for Zuko. Aang/Zuko parallels my beloved <3
-Speaking of Zuzu - Villain! Zuko my beloved <3 I think the show does a great job making Zuko & Iroh intimidating & scary but also funny & relatable. It's really good writing & I just love when shows do this with their villains, tbh whether a redemption arc is in the books or not it's just fun & improves the story.
-Aang gets his first "oh shit he's so cool" moment in this episode. In episode 1 he's sweet & endearing sure & I like him right away but in episode 2 we get to see badass! Aang make his debut. "I guess you guys have never fought an Airbender" followed by Aang just kicking the shit out of Zuko's crew is so satisfying. Plus I love how it's true - Aang uses it to his advantage that these guys have never met an Airbender & completely shocks them with his powers & it's so fun to watch. Also, the first Aang Vs. Zuko fight is a lot of fun.
-Avatar State! Aang!!!! I fucking loved Aang just BLASTING out of the water & scaring the shit out of Zuko lmao :D
-Iroh going "oh this is great the avatar is just a kid" at the end & Zuko having to point out that Aang wrecked their shit & most of the crew is frozen or unconscious....Okay Iroh...
Anyway another fun episode :)

I watched Birds of Prey and here's my thoughts on it even though this movie has been out for like three years
Tumblr media
It wasn't #girlboss
This movie didn't feel like a hyper-feminist capitalism girl power we-will-overcome movie. You know what I mean? Like it was very much a movie about women, but not in the 'watch this movie because hashtag feminism' way that Hollywood likes to give us. Women were the focus and the movie didn't make a big deal about it and it was nice.
2. Gotham was bright
If you watch Batman movies, Gotham is always gloomy and overcast, but in Birds of Prey Gotham has sunlight. Gotham actually looks like a place people could live in which was pretty cool and different.
3. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) was a backwards title.
It might have been called Birds of Prey but it was undeniably about Harley Quinn. It could have more accurately been called The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (and the Birds of Prey). Harley took center stage, which, to be clear, wasn't a bad thing. (To be fair, it's also known as Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, so.)
I think this scene with Harley and Dinah at the club really gets at what this movie is about.
Harley: "How do you spell "mercenary"? Merceninny… Merceran? Singer lady woman! You're really, really good."
Dinah: "Yeah."
Harley: "Know what a harlequin is?"
Dinah: "Janky-ass clown with bad eye makeup?"
Harley: "Oof! Ouch! A harlequin's role is to serve. An audience. A master. You know, a harlequin's nothing without a master. And no one gives two fucks who we are beyond that.
Dinah: "Yeah, I don't know who you think I am, lady, but I'm not her."
Tumblr media
It's about Harley breaking with what everyone, including herself, thinks is her role in the world. She's no longer willing to serve the Joker, but she's still performing for an audience, trying to get a reaction out of the people around her through the crazy things she does. Harley, throughout the movie, learns to (somewhat) define herself on her own terms and stand on her own two fee. She's by no means perfect at the end, but she's grown from the sad, pathetic, just-been-dumped Harley at the beginning of the movie.
4. Roman Sionis and Victor Zsasz gave me Gaston and LeFou vibes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something something hyper masculinity something something queer coding idk idk
5. None of the main characters felt flat
Harley was, of course, the most fleshed out, followed by Dinah and Renee, then Cass and Helena. Helena was, in my opinion, the least developed character, but least-developed is not the same as under-developed. In movies where there's a team of people, there's always going to be characters that get more focus. However, my pet peeve is when teams have useless characters, people who don't do anything and could easily be cut from the movie without really affecting much, and I didn't see that with Birds of Prey.
6. The fight scenes were delightfully violent
I just really liked seeing Harley hitting people. It was fun, and the entire sequence of her fighting at the police station was really entertaining and well choreographed. Additionally, Roman's demise was shockingly and delightfully abrupt.
7. Final Review
3/5 stars, so a pretty solid movie in my book! The plot was pretty basic but was helped by Harley's non-linear narrative, which thankfully did a fairly decent job of keeping things fairly straight on where we were in the plot. The characters were interesting, and I felt like the actors all did an excellent job portraying their roles. The cinematography was beautiful, and though it wouldn't be the first movie I pick, I wouldn't turn down a rewatch if offered.
Tumblr media
(This gif is what Batman would have looked like dancing at the club with Harley had he been in this movie, just fyi.)

I'm on the final episode of Star Trek Next Gen
I feel like Deanna is kinda getting tired of Worf saying the word stimulating😂
Data's house is full of cats, whata mood😂
Riker is definitely not all good with Deanna dating Worf, and I find it completely hilarious that he's distracted by it
IS THE CAPTAIN OF THE MEDICAL SHIP BEVERLY?!
Hell yeah! It is!
Wait, Beverly is married to Picard? Huh.
Beverly's look at Jean-Luc when he also responded to the person saying Captain Picard 😂
Huh, they're divorced. Sounds about right 😂
"He's Jean-Luc Picard, and if he wants to go on one more mission, that's what we're going to do." The foreshadowing to Picard👀
The poor past Enterprise crew is so confused😂
It seriously took Picard that long to realize Q was involved? I figured that out as soon as the first people showed up in his vision.
Oh SHIT, THE TRIAL NEVER ENDED!!
"You're going to deny us travel through space?" Dude no, he's Q, he's probably gonna deny you the ability to exist
I was right! Ha!
Yeah Jean-Luc, you definitely have a much bigger problem than you realized.
Jean-Luc Picard,
The man who caused the annihilation of mankind.
Tumblr media
Role model indeed.
Q sees Picard as a pet💀 thank you Data 😂
There's no love lost between Worf and Admiral Rider, it would seeem🤔
Not gonna lie, I thought Word's ship slammed on the brakes abruptly when he jerked forward saying "Dor-sHo GHA!"😂
Aw, Beverly had Picard sit in the chair for old times sake😭
Poor past O'Brien, he's so confused
Oh my god, did they find old footage of Riker? Because it doesn't look like he's talking on a video call
"So, Captain, how long shall we stare at each other across the Neutral Zone?" The extraness of this dialogue delivery 😂
Makes me wonder how long they were staring at each other on video, or if the dude is referring to the ships
There is nothing there, future Picard, nothing. No need to yell.
Tumblr media
And undermine Beverly on her own ship!
Seriously though, the poor past Enterprise crew 😂
Oof, I do not envy Geordi right now
HOLY HELL, HE'S GROWING NEW EYES?!?!
*deadpan* Oh no, a rupture in time. Whatever shall happen, I wonder? However will they survive?
Seriously tho, I would have such doubts about going on the Enterprise if this Picard was the Captain and being completely confusing.
Rip to Ensign Chilton
Goodness, that makeup Riker is wearing is quite something 👀
Ok, there is definitely some tension between Worf and Riker. Did something happen to Deanna and that's what's causing the tension? I wanna know!
Alyssa's baby, noooooo.😭
Why hello Q
Picard is the cause of the anomaly 👀
Truth be told, I thought that was where this was gonna go.
Oh shit, three identical time pulses 👀
Oh no
Okay, so the thing between Worf and Riker has been going for over 20 years🤔
Deanna's funeral? Shit, I didn't want to be correct that something happened to her
"I always thought that we would get together again. And then she was gone."😭 Meh heart💔
Picard, you do sound kinda cray
Good job Data! You understood what he was saying. Of course, when it comes from Data everything makes much more sense.
Sometimes.
I would really prefer to transfer to another ship if I was on the Enterprise during this past Enterprise experience
The ship shaking makes me imagine the scene to the song Party Rockers
It worked! Yay!
The Continuum didn't believe in Jean-Luc Picard, but Q did, and sometimes that's all Picard needs
Q's out here giving so much good advice.
And it's back to when he interrupted Worf and Deanna's kiss!😂
That long look shared between Riker and Worf, you would think they were having a telepathic conversation 😂
Deanna!! She sat next to Will, and in my book that says something good😂
Picard joined them at the poker table ❤️
That ending scene, man. It was a sweet end to the TV series 😭😁
Now I gotta go find which movie to watch next
Overall, the show was good, and on a 0/10 scale, I'd rate it a solid 8.😁

Review of va’s first 4 episodes
I watched the first four episodes of Vampire academy, and I can tell I’m going to have a love/hate relationship with it. Be warned: I’m a book purist. I’m going to rip on some stuff hard.
Love:
The main four actors. Everyone here has really captured the personification of their respective characters. Sisi is perfectly playing an outgoing, reckless, headstrong Rose. Daniela IS Lissa to a tee; sweet, a little naïve, and very loyal. Andre is a terrific Christian and does a good job of portraying a slightly annoyed outcast. I’m hoping we see more of his mischievous side. then there’s Keiron. I LOVE his Dimitri. He captures Dimitri’s stern, no-nonsense side superbly, as well as seeing his playful side. It’s rare in the books, but still there.
The relationships. First of all, Christian and Lissa are really cute. The chemistry is there, for sure. That’s all I’m going to say on that, because I don’t actively ship them that hard, not even reading the books. Now, to the important stuff: Romitri. OH MY GOSH. What has been portrayed so far with their relationship is exactly the dynamic I’d been missing from the movie. They don’t exactly get off on the right foot, and isn’t warm right away. He thinks she’s reckless, and he to her is just another strict disciplinarian and a killjoy. It felt like that too in the first episode (it didn’t feel like there were a bunch of sparks; felt off a little). When we get to the second episode, the chemistry becomes more apparent, and we then begin to see Dimitri appearing troubled over Rose, which I LOVE. We also have Rose softening toward him, seeing him more as a person, respecting his position, and gaining that initial attraction. By the time of their last interaction in episode 4, the “Rosa” feels earned (though I think it’s a bit early to hear it). Everything on that front is what I’ve been hoping for. However, I’d really like to see them verbally get into it, because that’s who they both are: passionate, stubborn people.
Don’t love:
Umm, everything else...? Where do I begin?
Character changes/mash-ups: Oof. First of all, The Moroi ruler. Yeah, not a fan. She’s so aloof, and I’m not impressed with her acting. Why can’t we just have a 30 something Tatiana if they wanted a younger ruler at the start? Speaking of, why in the world did they change her family name? What is the purpose? I can’t think of one. Next are Mia and Sonya. Sigh. Yeah. Okay. Big issues here. The personification of Mia is spot on, but at the same time, the actress sounds tired and flat, like she’s slurring her words. Sonya, now...not feeling her. The fact that we’re seeing what Lissa was going through in the first book with Sonya is just wrong. That is what Lissa’s storyline focus should be right now. Her plot of doing the research right away, a book 2-3 thing, just feels weird and wrong. Whatever it is, I just can’t get invested into it or her relationship with Mikhail. Oh, that love scene in the greenhouse, with reviving the bird? Not cheesy, but a special kind of cringe.
Plots and Pacing. This is a big issue for me. Too many things going on in this season for its own good. I can see plots from 5 out of 6 books so far. There’s the whole battle for the crown, the guardian age restriction, a big massacre at a different location, Rose’s conflict with her mother, the novices going through trials...those are the major things I’ve noticed. It is making time go incredibly fast in-universe. I get that the first book wasn’t totally exciting and action-packed, but come on. I am concerned that if this gets more seasons, they’re going to write themselves into a corner, and there are 6 flipping books to draw from. It should be one book per season. it shouldn’t be a GOT situation.
The location. I’m not too disappointed about everything taking place in Europe, but it appears that Court is in the same vicinity of the school. It makes it a little less special and exclusive on both ends, if that makes sense.
CGI. Uh, where did this show’s budget go? Filming in Spain? Well, it was most likely the magic. But still, the psyhounds? Pathetic. I get that this isn’t exactly HBO or Prime, but even WB/CW shows in the 2000s had better CGi animals than this.
Lesser issues
People will probably call me out for this, but they’re rushing Romitri’s romantic relationship, specifically with the Shadow Kiss fight scene, and the nickname, which I would have liked more in episode 7 or 8. Don’t get me wrong, both scenes were HOT, but one thing I have always loved is the slow burn of the first book. Rose besting Dimitri, and its effect on both of them, comes at a point where they know what they feel for one another. Discreetly, they don’t bother hiding it. It’s only been like, what, a week or two since they’ve met? Maybe more?  Oh, then we have the Mason issue. My main problem here is him noticing the attraction. It’s so trivial. NOBODY, except for Victor and Adrian (because of who they are), knew about them.
Dimitri’s accent. This one I could probably live with, because in the book it describes his Russian accent as “faint”. Hopefully Keiron slips it in from time to time like he did in episode four.
Lissa’s compulsion. Her ability should not be able to be seen. It’s not how compulsion works. Plus, the effect looks dumb. It would be better for it to be the eyes glowing or something. Oh, also, Lissa is as royal as it gets in the Moroi world. She should be called princess no matter what.
Rose’s sixth sense. There has been no indication that Rose has been pulling darkness from Lissa, nor has she killed a Strigoi,
Strigois may not have souls, but they’re not mindless creatures. They’re just narcissists with no inhibitions, and very, very hangry. What we see in Frostbite and Blood Promise are very smart and calculated creatures.
So, yeah, I have a crap ton of problems with this show, and one might wonder why I’m bothering to watch. But darn it if I’m not already invested in this version of Romitri. The movie didn’t provide a whole lot of romitri footage for me, and now we have this. I’ll take it in any form I get. Like I’ve said above, the personalities and dynamic between Sisi and Keiron have already met my expectations and I hope it continues.

SPOILERS FOR PUSS IN BOOTS THE LAST WISH!!!
I'm putting this here cause there's no way I'm putting this on twt(again...twt had nuff of my bullshit) or anything but I consider this a rant just because I can't, won't and do not want to spoil my friends about the movie but I'm too fixated on how well constructed it was.
First off, I was watching the first few scenes and oh my god. They brought in so many memorable takes from the first one which was so sweet!
My favorite was the "Ooh" cat popping up in the cat shelter.
I just realized that the sleeping giant seemed to be an example to amplify how big of a threat death was. The sleeping giant was a possible ploy, as it poses a great threat to the lands. However, Pib is met with someone who's able to fit in the same room as him. Someone that resembles himself, someone he couldn't possibly be, because it's someone we'll always end up meeting in the end, staring at it. It stares at us with its red beady eyes. Death himself.
The design for death. man. Man.
The scene where Pib(Puss in Boots) felt genuine fear from bleeding from his head. The red piercing eyes and the fucking strength he shows. From first glance I kinda knew he was death already, since his presence alone said a lot. I love how you don't even need so much to tell the audience what a character is meant to be perceived as. Giving them a few lines, visuals and subtle movements and cues are enough for the audience to pick up on it.
And of course, who could forget the portrayal of panic attacks. That one gets one of the stars for me. I love how they framed it as something that basically gets you in a way where you feel like you need to leave. You have to escape. You have to survive and live.
Each scene of the panic attacks occurring played important roles that constantly concern Pib and the viewers. We first become aware of the threat, how we know this threat could appear at any time. Now that–that's terrifying to think about. Which is true, death can come for us at any time which we least expect, which I really like how they were able to represent that as well.
The scene where Pib was worried about someone coming for him, aka Death, where he stares at the front door and sees a snout sniffing near it. I knew it couldn't be death at his door since it was well established that he was being hunted by the Goldi and the Three Bears. I like the detail where he's literally concerned that he constantly has to keep his eyes peeled twice now for something that's larger than life.
The first of the main characters that were introduced were Goldilocks and the three bears. First thing I thought, "she's hiding something isn't she. Oh she wants the wish, oh she wants to find her family again doesn't she?"
Then the second one was Perrito, love that lil guy. This dude breaks my heart honestly. I mean. Fuck man, something this innocent (well partly) gets hurt in every way and still does his best to forgive... I honestly like how he was introduced to Pib just cause they have contrasting personalities. I love how he's determined to be a therapy dog one day! Aaaaahhh
And then the third was Jack horner, yeah no. I got nothing else to say other than the fact that he looks like the guy from the lorax with dyed hair and power hungry issues. No need for me to predict shit at all. I hate that guy and his Mary Poppins, Doraemon ass bag. (They made a good villain, good job, I hate him👍)
And then the last if I'm not mistaken was Kitty Softpaws, so glad she was back around. But oof, damn exes unite huh. Thought about her wishing she could trust someone from the get-go. Of course, she was wishing for Pib, obviously.
I was honestly thinking throughout the movie, like what's the point? Right? You have one wish, but you have these people around you already. What could be so great that could potentially be a wish come true to them?
Except there was me hoping that Pib would at least get his lives back MAN. I WAS SOBBING.
To be fair, some areas were predictable where others weren't but I don't care. I loved it. I loved the hell out of it. I don't care about the cliche. I care about the story telling. What I could not predict was QUALITY AND WHOLE. And oh my goodness, don't get me started on that, the DESIGNS THE LIGHTING THE ANIMATION, THE FIGHT SCENES WERE SO WELL MADE SO WAS THE MUSIC ACCOMPANYING THE SCENES HEEEELL YEEEEEEAH.
THEY DELIVERED A CONCEPT THAT WORKED SO DAMN GOOOOOD!!
In the scene where the characters stood for the corners of the fucking star my god that was so smart. I was like "THEY PLANNED THIS ALL WAY TOO INTRICATELY I LOVE HOW EVERYTHING CONNECTS!"
I really like how the scenes weren't common. Like the fight scenes and everything. Where they take place and what kinds of combat could be possible with the equipment they're available with. I always love those kinds of combat.
We got like two found families except the other guy was just thirsty for world domination I guess. Yes I am insulting you, jack horner. Edna mode would kick your ass tbh. (Sorry I'm salty, I hate him, he was mean to Mr. Grasshopper cricket thing who I assume we might see again so that he gets united with Pinocchio, cause that was the first thing I thought)
The references are pretty good too. The jokes, the one liners were fantastic. I love how some of the humor transcends old style humor and some of the common ones today.
I was sobbing for almost the entire film cause of how well written and made it was. Jeez.
Wait, I think I've already done this before...huh deja vu.
Anyhow if I remember anything else I'll probably add it but whatever!

Time and Chase
Pairing: Five Hargreeves x Fem! OC
Author's Note: Hello and welcome. This is a major throwback but we are kicking off my TUA series of fics all the way from season one so that this story actually makes sense. Or about as much sense as it can be. I will be posting daily. *Please note that I am well aware that Elliot Page portrays Viktor, but due to season one being before his transition, that is why his character is still Vanya. I am not deadnaming him and I sincerely hope I don't come across as such. I will transition when I write season three.*
Warnings: Slightly long post, mention of murder, blood, cursing, injuries, and violence.

I Heard A Rumor
~ * ~
On the first day of October, 1989, forty-three women around the world simultaneously gave birth. None of the women showed any prior signs of pregnancy. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and playboy adventurer, made it his personal mission to find and adopt as many of these children as possible.
He got seven of them.
~ * ~
The rain was pouring heavily now, but Allison kept driving. Karina was quiet, listening to the radio and watching the rain come down.
When they arrived at the secluded cabin in the middle of the woods, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. Allison and Karina got out of the car and carefully made their way up to the cabin. They peered through a window, but saw nothing except Vanya's violin case in the living room.
Karina turned and Allison jumped as a bird flew away, startling them both. Allison sighed.
"Let's go into town and see if we can find anything there," Karina suggested.
Allison nodded and they got back in the car. Allison drove off away from the woods. Only for them to get stuck in traffic. There was a crime scene nearby full of police cars and yellow tape.
Deciding to see what was going on, Allison slid her sunglasses on and got out of the car. Karina quickly followed her. Allison saw a scarf hanging from a light in the distance and took it down, examining it.
"Vanya," Allison breathed.
Karina quickly followed her as Allison crossed the yellow tape.
"Hey. Pardon me. Hey!" an officer stepped forward.
"Oh-" Allison paused in her steps.
"I gotta ask you to stay behind the lines. We had an accident here last night," ht explained.
"A…what kind of accident?" Allison frowned.
"Ma'am. The line, please."
"Okay. Yes. Sorry," Allison said as Karina gently tugged her back and the two got on the correct side.
"Got a lot of stuff on the ground, okay? To be wary of."
"What happened?" Karina wanted to know.
"We're trying to figure that out. As soon as we do, you'll be able to read it in the newspaper with everybody else. So, have a nice day," he began to walk away.
Allison took her sunglasses off. "Look, Officer, if there is any way-"
"Holy shit!" the officer exclaimed. "You're Allison Hargreeves, right? I saw you on TV two nights ago in that Sandra Bullock movie about underpaid teachers that rob a bank!"
"Yeah. That's me," Allison chuckled.
"Oh! Wow. Hey. If I'm being honest, my wife and I, we prefer you in the romantic comedies," the officer informed her.
"Oh."
"The Love on Loan trilogy. Oof!" he complimented, which made her blush. "We can't get enough." He chuckled and sighed.
"Copy, Cheddar?" a woman on his radio spoke.
"Yeah, what do you got, Fred?" Officer Cheddar returned.
"Hospital called. Perp from last night just regained consciousness."
"Copy. I'll be right over," he sighed, chuckling in disbelief. "Allison freakin' Hargreeves!" he laughed. "Wow. Ah, my wife's not gonna believe it." He chuckled and then suddenly remembered he had a job to get back to. "Anyway, I…I…I…I gotta go."
"Oh," Allison nodded.
"Um…Work stuff."
"Yeah. Yeah, of course. Sorry!" Allison chuckled, watching him duck under the tape and head to his car. That was when she got an idea and she hoped Karina was good with thinking on her feet. "Actually, that's…why we're here. My brother's girlfriend and I! We're…well, I'm, researching a role. A law enforcement role."
"Right, yes! And I'm a film student at my high school trying to scope out some places for the project. I can't believe I'm at an actual crime scene!" Karina put in a bit excitedly.
Officer Cheddar was taken back. "In Jackpine Cove? We haven't had a murder here in years."
"Oh, uh…it's about, um…a small-town cop who takes down a drսg cartel," Allison lied. "In fact, maybe we could tag along while you conduct some official police business?"
"We promise we won't get in the way," Karina added hurriedly.
"I just…I think you could really, um…help me develop my character, if I could live a day in the life, you know. And Karina here can get inspiration as well," Allison finished.
Radio chatter filled the air as Officer Cheddar stared at them both thoughtfully. "Day in the life, huh? Eh…come on. Follow me."
Allison and Karina exchanged a relieved look before following him to his car.
~ * ~
The three arrived at the hospital and went inside, going into the room of the patient Officer Cheddar needed to learn more about.
"Mr. Luntz? Mr. Luntz, can you hear me?" Officer Cheddar spoke.
Mr. Luntz groaned. "Who, um…Who are you?"
"I'm Sergeant Cheddar, and these are…these are my…associates," Officer Cheddar acknowledged Allison and Karina. "Just have a couple of questions for you."
"Am I in trouble?"
"No trouble, nothin' like that. I just…I wanted to ask you about the accident in the Bearskin Tavern parking lot last night."
Mr. Luntz sighed. "You're a cop. You gotta protect me no matter what, right?"
"It's my sworn duty."
"It was no accident."
"What do you mean?" Officer Cheddar took a small step forward.
"This guy…hired us to start a fight," Mr. Luntz began. "He wanted us to rough him up in front of his girlfriend. He paid real good, up front. We got drunk. Took it a little too far. Started to hassle the girl, too. And then, all hell broke loose."
Allison and Karina exchanged a concerned, fearful look as they moved towards the bed.
"The guy who paid you, what did he look like?" Allison spoke up, causing Officer Cheddar to eye her. "Brown hair, light scruff, slight build?"
"Yeah. Yeah, that's him," Mr. Luntz responded.
"Well, that's a…a really good guess," Officer Cheddar held his arm out.
"Allison-" Karina warned her.
"Is this the girlfriend?" Allison pulled out a piece of paper with Vanya's face on it and showed it.
"Hey, uh. Just, um…just a moment," Officer Cheddar interrupted, taking Allison outside and Karina trailed behind them. "Hey, by any chance, is your movie called Small Town Cop Falls for Hollywood Superstar's Bullshit?"
Allison sighed. "I am sorry for misleading you."
"I believe the word would be "lying"," Officer Cheddar remarked.
"I'm sorry I lied. But I didn't know how else to get answers," Allison held up the paper. "This is my sister. And we think the guy that put him in this hospital has her. We have to find her."
"I could get fired for just bringing you down here with me," Officer Cheddar told her.
"Please. We think she's in trouble. We need your help," Karina pleaded.
Officer Cheddar sighed and turned to Mr. Luntz. "Answer the lady's question. Is this the girlfriend?"
"Sorry, but the doctor's ordered more tests. You're gonna have to ask him questions later," a nurse came in.
Allison was in complete shock and disbelief as the three silently left the room so the nurse could tend to her patient.
Out in the hall, the three waited for a while before the same nurse went over to them.
"Hey, Dale?" she greeted.
"Yup?" Officer Cheddar looked at her.
"Have you seen Mr. Luntz?"
"No, why?"
"I took him to X-ray, and then he disappeared."
"…You better let security know. I'll call it in."
"Yeah," the nurse sighed and turned to leave.
"Oh, wait, one more thing," Allison stopped her. "Do you recognize this woman?" She showed the nurse Vanya's photo.
"Mm. She left with Mr. Peabody this morning."
"Wait, this morning?" Allison repeated in shock.
"They must've been here when we stopped by the cabin," Karina mused.
"Yeah," Officer Cheddar was deep in thought.
"Maybe they went back there. We're gonna go get my sister," Allison headed off with Karina.
"Whoa, hold on!" Officer Cheddar stopped them. "We got a missing vic, and this guy might be dangerous. I need you to stay here." He chuckled as he went off. "Allison frickin' Hargreeves, man, oh, man."
However, Allison didn't stay and neither did Karina.
~ * ~
Allison sped off for the cabin. When they arrived, the wind was blowing and the faint sound of a violin filled the air. The two went up the porch, noticing the chairs rocking and the lights swinging.
"Vanya? Is that you?" Allison called out.
Karina opened the door and the two slipped in to see her in the living room, playing her violin.
"Vanya, there you are!" Allison was relieved.
"What is going on?" Karina looked around.
Vanya stopped her playing and turned to see them. "What are you doing here?"
"We came to find you. Are you okay?"
"Yeah."
"There's something…weird going on. What's causing it?" Allison wanted to know.
There was a pause between the three. The sound of insects chirping filled the silence.
"Me," Vanya replied simply.
"What do you mean, "me"?" Allison slowly asked, stepping towards her.
"I mean…I made those things happen. With my powers," Vanya replied. "Turns out I've had them all this time. It's weird, huh?"
Allison gasped. "It's in…it's incredible."
"But?"
"Ca…Can we do this in the car?"
"Why?" Vanya frowned.
"You're not gonna want to hear it," Allison sighed.
"Well, that's never stopped you before," Vanya remarked.
Karina sighed and decided to step in. "Leonard Peabody? His real name is Harold Jenkins."
"Remember when I couldn't find anything in the library on Leonard? It's because Leonard Peabody doesn't exist. Harold Jenkins does," Allison took a step forward. "He was in prison for 12 years. He murdered his father when he was 13."
"This is…insane," Vanya commented incredulously. "His dad was an engineer at the-"
"We have the police report in the car, Vanya. We can show you," Karina looked at her sympathetically.
"I don't…I don't understand," Vanya shook her head.
"Leonard, Harold, I…I know it doesn't make any sense, and I know it sounds crazy, but we were in his house," Allison went over to her. "He has pictures of all of us with our eyes gouged out."
"Wh-What?"
"I…I promise I will tell you everything in the car, but it is not safe," Allison tried to take Vanya's arm.
"No, stop," Vanya pulled away.
Allison sighed as Vanya sank down onto the couch.
"Look, um, I can't imagine how hard it is for you to hear this. How you feel right now, but I…I love you, and I…I just…I wanna be here for you, as your sister," Allison knelt down next to her.
"There's just no way," Vanya was despondent as Karina sat down next to her and began rubbing her arm comfortingly. "I love him. This just doesn't make any sense." She ran her hands through her hair. "And this power. I…I don't know. I don't know what's going on. I don't know what to do." She sniffled.
"I understand now," Allison quietly realized. Karina eyed her curiously and cautiously. "When we were four, Dad told us you were sick. You had to be isolated. We were so young. None of us knew to question it. But then he asked me to do something I never understood…until now. I heard a rumor…you think you're ordinary," Allison reminisced in horror. "He made me an accomplice."
Vanya looked up at Allison as realization, betrayal, and anger began to cloud her eyes and her face.
Karina slowly pulled away and stepped back, looking at Allison nervously.
"You did this to me?" Vanya lowly questioned.
"I…I…I didn't realize," Allison stammered out.
"You knew this whole time? That I had powers?" Vanya shot to her feet and turned her back, going over to her violin case.
"No, no! I didn't really understand until I came today, until I saw it!" Allison argued, standing up.
"Well, now it all makes sense. This is why you never wanted me around," Vanya accused.
"What? No!"
"You couldn't risk me threatening your place in the house, your…your dominance!"
"That is not true!" Allison was exasperated.
"Vanya…Allison…" Karina warned.
"Save it! Did you know about this? Did she tell you? Is that why you're here?" Vanya glared at her.
"No, I had no idea, I swear."
"I don't believe you! I get it now," Vanya turned to Allison. "You couldn't handle the fact that Dad might find me special."
"You are special, with or without powers," Allison had tears forming in her eyes.
"Don't…Don't say that!"
"We have a chance to start over."
"You destroyed my life!" Vanya was beginning to lose control.
"Oh, please, Vanya. Everything is out in the open. We can move on!" Allison exclaimed.
"Oh, I'm moving on. But not with you, with Leonard," Vanya seethed.
"With Harold, you mean," Karina corrected her.
"Stop calling him that! He is Leonard! The only person who has ever loved me for me," Vanya bit out.
A tuning fork resonated and a rumbling started. Allison bitterly laughed as Karina looked around. A wind began picking up and she wasn't liking where this was headed.
"I know things are not okay right now, but, can we both just calm down?" she glanced between the sisters.
Vanya tilted her chin and stared Allison down. "Look me in the eye and tell me you're not threatened now."
Wind chimes clattered and the wind whistled now.
"I don't wanna argue with you," Allison choked out.
"Then go! Both of you!" Vanya shouted.
"Uh…" Karina jumped when a crash occurred.
"We're only trying to help you!" Allison exclaimed.
"I don't want your help!"
"Vanya, I love you!"
"Stop saying that!"
Karina inhaled sharply as the air rippled. The chandelier above was swinging, glasses were clinking on the table, and she heard glass shattering. "Vanya? Are you…Are you okay?"
"I said go!" Vanya screamed.
The chandelier light bulbs burst and Allison yelped as Karina ducked. Vanya was breathing heavily, glaring at them.
"Please don't make me do this," Allison choked out.
Glass smashed now.
"I heard a rumor…" Allison began and Karina inhaled sharply.
Her voice echoed to Vanya, but in a fit of anger, Vanya took her bow and slashed the air as Karina tried to knock Allison out of the way. Vanya's bow ended up slicing across Allison's neck and Karina's shoulder.
All three screamed as Allison's throat began to leak blood and blood began to stain the sleeve of Karina's jacket. Allison wordlessly grabbed her neck, choking.
"Allison! Karina!" Vanya cried as she and Karina caught a choking and gasping Allison.
"No! No! Allison!" Karina exclaimed.
Allison grunted and Vanya gasped. "Oh! Allison!" she screamed.
"Vanya, wait…" Harold Jenkins suddenly raced in. He broke out into an astonished look when he saw the bloody scene.
"Allison!" Vanya cried.
Allison was choking even more as Karina grabbed a nearby throw, trying to stop the bleeding.
"I didn't mean to…" Vanya screamed, hyperventilating and panicking. "I didn't…I didn't mean to! I'm sorry! I'm sorry. I…" She was sobbing uncontrollably.
"You did what you had to," Harold told her rather unsympathetically.
Vanya was hyperventilating even more now and Karina glared up at him.
"Vanya. Vanya!" Leonard grabbed a bag. "We have to go!"
"No! I can't just leave her!" Vanya was screaming and crying.
"Vanya, no! No, don't take her!" Karina stumbled to her feet.
"We have to go now!" Leonard grabbed Vanya and she screamed.
"Oh no, no, no!"
"Vanya, come on!"
"No, no, no, no, no!"
"Now!" he dragged her out the door and shoved her off.
"Vanya, wait!" Karina raced after them. "Harold, give her back!" She grabbed onto him and kicked him in the shin.
She blocked his punch and grabbed his arm, twisting it backwards.
"You psycho! Get off of me!" he ran her into a nearby wall and she yelped out, hitting her head on the bookcase and crashing to the ground, unconscious.
~ * ~
Meanwhile, Luther, Klaus, Diego, Ben, and Five were making their way for the cabin. Albeit not at top speed, but at a pace fast enough to where Five wouldn't get pulled over.
"Hey. Can you go any faster?" Luther poked his head between Klaus and Five up front.
"Ask me again and I'll burn you with a cigarette lighter," Five retorted.
The rest of the ride was just pure, tense silence. Luther was anxious to get there and while Five seemed calm on the outside, he was internally worried that maybe he made the wrong choice letting Karina go. However, he kept reminded himself that she was a trained Commission Agent, despite being kept away from the field. She could handle herself.
They finally arrived at the cabin. Luther jumped out of the car and raced up the steps with his brothers in tow. He threw the door open. What they didn't expect to see were Allison and Karina both on the floor.
"Allison!" Luther ran to her.
"Rina!" Five blinked to her side. "God, no! No, no, no!" He checked her pulse and her breathing, which was faint but still there.
"Allison," Luther scooped her limp body into his arms. "Oh my God, Allison," he began crying, bringing her to his chest. "Please, look at me, please."
Klaus had his hands on Luther's shoulder and Diego was knelt down near Five and Karina. All the boys shared a look, silently agreeing to get them back to the Academy.

Watching Locke and Key. I’m currently on episode 5 these are my thoughts.
Kinsey is not a good person and I don’t k ow if it’s somehow because of the lack of fear or what. What I do know is that she seemingly has no moral compass. And Scot Cavendish is to good for her. Unless he he can make her better, then maybe.
Tyler is giving Scott-I’m-the-oldest-and-I-need-to-protect-my-family-and-I-have-daddy-issues-Summers vibes. I feel for him. Also, way to go with the anger issues pal. It sucks, I know. So far the worst thing he’s done by far in my book (after lying and saying he slept with that one girl) is the whole I’m going to throw books into my mind to learn stuff to impress Jackie thing. I mean, I do think it would be cool to just have knowledge. Like, that sounds great. But the whole thing (and the subsequent scene) was very painful and iffy.
Bode. Poor Bode. If I were at that age I’d probably just think it’s cool and love and angst and lowkey emotional whump. But no. I’m 21 and all I see is a kid who first had his dad murdered and didn’t know if he would make it out alive that is being terrorized by an evil….person. Whatever she is. If she is an even a she. It seems like she could be part Lucas? Or maybe absorbed some of Lucas? At least that’s the impression I got when Ellie visited the well house. Anyway, yeah, Bode. He felt like he was alone in the key situation. And even though he technically wasn’t he still felt all the responsibility and still had his life and the lives of his family threatened by something unknown that already tried to kill his mom once. And while Tyler finally understands the full gravity of the situation due to the whole fire incident Kinsey seemingly doesn’t care. Or rather, she’s not aware. When she got rid of her fear the next episode very much felt like the “Accepting Anxiety” Sanders Sides video she has yet to realize that maybe it was a bad decision. And the fact that she doesn’t have fear anymore definitely plays a factor in that. But shouldn’t she at least realize it’s dangerous? Shouldn’t she know logically that she should be a bit scared? So yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out. I asked my sibling if Kinsey has morals and they said yes but only a little bit. I don’t know if my sibling was watched past season 1 but if they have then that doesn’t bode all that well. But I’m hoping that the Kinsey storyline is done well. I’ll just have to wait and see.
But yeah, back to Bode. The poor kid brought a hammer to school. And he’s drawing out maps and possibly battle plans for when Echo comes back. (It would be kinda cool if when Sam Lesser shows up something Bode planned or set up takes care of the situation even though he didnt know it was Sam Lesser who was going to attack.
And there’s Duncan. I can’t not mention Duncan. The fact that Aaron Ashmpre is in this show is part of the reason I decided to watch it in the first place. Anyway, Duncan not knowing about the keys and stuff, not really knowing what Bode is talking about was sad but expected. I think he’s going to unlock a memory or something about the Key House and then go “Oh shit”. I mean, there’s a reason Rendell left. There’s a reason practically everyone in Rendell’s group of old friends is dead. There’s a reason Duncan hates that house almost as much as his brother did. So yeah, it’ll be interesting. And when Bode told Duncan that it’s not his fault he doesn’t remember and it’s okay and hugged him. Oof. There is so much on poor Bode’s shoulder and he is terrified. I mean, he brought a hammer to school and I can understand exactly why that was actually a good idea. Poor kid. Seriously, Bode is a child and out of everyone in the show he is one of the ones with the most common sense.
Also Ellie. I don’t know all of what’s going on with her but I like her and the actress does a really good job.
Nina. So obviously some part of her was left back in the mirror place. I hope she gets it back and figures it out. Her own subtle investigation and all that is great. I need to go otherwise I’d talk about her more but yeah I like that well the kids are trying to handle the keys she doesn’t know about them and is looking into the Omega symbol and Rendell’s past and it both the same type of thing as the kids deal with but also something completely different.
Also, quick shoutout to the English teacher. I don’t remember his name because every time I see him in my head he is Rufus from supernatural. And there’s already a Rufus on the show. So yeah, I’ll have to work harder on remembering his name is not actually Rufus. I was very confused when Bode mentioned him b cause Bode shouldn’t even know who he is. I had to like, pause for a second and rewind. On one hand I feel like an idiot. On the other hand it’s Rufus from supernatural and he seems happy.

hey! just wanted to inject some nuance into the dwd conversation (sorry for the length but... oof people talking about this make me frustrated). right off the bat - i totally agree that a lot of people are way out of line with the response to dwd and to olivia wilde in particular, like that one twt account ppl mentioned in the tags (just vile). but i think that there's layers of context here where there are legitimate reasons for people to be upset, they just are... high jumping over any kind of nuance or reasoned discussion and right to weinstein rape apologist language.
it was definitely decided that the promo for this movie was going to play up harry styles' sex appeal and draw attention that way. i mean, the first trailer included an oral sex scene. there was a deliberate decision made to include that, knowing that it would get attention. now, we don't know if that decision was olivia wilde's, or a studio marketing department's, or (most likely) some combination of both, but it did occur! it's not just the fans making it all about the sex. from what i've heard from those who've seen early screenings, there isn't actually a lot of sex in the movie outside of what's in the trailers, because the sex isn't the focus of the movie itself. so, again, this is how they chose to market it, and it did get attention for that.
i think olivia wilde herself, as the main person promoting and speaking about the movie so far (in interviews, etc) has gone along with that marketing strategy. the full context from the vogue story of the sex quote is that first, in the preceding paragraph, olivia is the one to bring up sex in movies.
“The 1950s get this rap as a very controlled, conservative era, when in fact it was incredibly debaucherous. My grandparents on my mother’s side loved to party,” Wilde says. One of Wilde’s aesthetic reference points for her film was Poolside Gossip, Slim Aarons’s photo of coiffed women in caftans chatting over cocktails in a Palm Springs backyard whose manicured perfection can’t help but imply some Lynchian rot lurking beneath; another was the thrillers of Adrian Lyne, like Fatal Attraction and Indecent Proposal. Those movies are “really sexy, in a grown-up way,” Wilde tells me. “I kept saying, ‘Why isn’t there any good sex in film anymore?’ ”
then in the next paragraph, they ask about that scene in particular, and you get the "though she readily volunteers that she intends for her audience to 'realize how rarely they see female hunger, and specifically this type of female pleasure.' " quote.
again, the sex isn't the focus of the movie and we don't hear anything about how the sex relates to the themes of the movie (other than aesthetically). they could choose not to talk about it. but this is the promo strategy they went with, and it obviously has worked at drawing attention. on a more personal to olivia note, a lot of people took issue with her sharing an instagram post from an account called the clit.test about good sex in media approving of dwd (again, focused on that scene in the trailer).
moving on with more nuance - the non-con of it all. again, a lot of the response has been 'how dare this movie depict non-consensual sex' which is... not the most productive way to engage with art. BUT i do think it's valid that people are feeling some ick about having watched the trailer, having absorbed the messaging of the headlines around the film, having felt one particular way about the sex in it, and then learned that it's non-consensual. i don't blame them for feeling uncomfortable. for example, the clit.test actually took back their instagram post when they learned about it (also apparently after a healthy dose of harassment from all sides, so... great job guys). this is also where the way the larger themes of the movie have been framed gets (for lack of a better word) problematic, and is more directly tied to olivia.
again, full quote for context, but this is how olivia teed up the themes of the movie (and they've stayed consistent) at cinemacon, with the first trailer drop:
“I want you to imagine a life where you have everything you could want,” she told the crowd of theater owners. “Not just material, tangible things… like a beautiful house, perfect weather and gorgeous cars. But also the things that really matter, like true love or the perfect partner or real trusted friendships and a purpose that feels meaningful. What would it take for you to give up that life, that perfect life. What are you really willing to sacrifice to do what’s right?” Wilde asked. “Are you willing to dismantle the system that’s designed to serve you?”
this framing - implying pretty heavily that florence pugh's character has "true love" or "the perfect partner", or that her situation is a "system that's designed to serve [her]" when her consent to the sex they're having is dubious at best, because of her lack of awareness and agency in the overall context is... it's just a yikes.
so - just trying to give context, that while most of the backlash against the movie has been over the top, misogynist, and bullying - there are some actual potential issues with it, and i wish people talked more reasonably about it instead of just going with "boo olivia wilde evil boo".
Oh anon. I know I'm not really one to talk - but that's a lot of words. And all it suggests to me is that you don't know what nuance means.
I disagree with your central premise and also think this ask is steeped in media illiteracy, hypocrisy and a terrifying view of consent.
I can't tell if your argument is that it's wrong to try and make sex scenes sexy, with this premise (I'll try and avoid spoilers). Or if your argument is that it's wrong to include sex scenes in the marketing campaign or a movie with this premise. I don't think either argument is sustainable - and are incredibly limited and controlling attitude towards art. (The same thing is shown with your bizarre reading of Olivia Wilde's quote, which suggests you have completely missed the point she's made).
A few more points:
Profile writers don't always replicate the order conversations happened in their profile - so 'this paragraph came first' is not evidence that it happened first in the conversation.
We do know who makes the decisions when it comes to how movies are marketed: marketing departments. The fact that you don't speaks to your lack of interest in the subject, not that it's mysteriously unknowable.
The premise of this movie makes large elements of it non-consensual. (I cannot believe that anyone who is trying to take the moral high ground would call something that is clearly non-consenting dubious consent).
Harry has talked about doing sex scenes in this movie. Harry has used sex to promote his art. Harry has made art where sex is one of the key themes. He's made unclear references to lack of consent in his art. The hypocrisy of fandom is really clear.
