oh my god thats so sweet of you!!!! thank you :DD also super sorry for deleting your ask btw

To get down to business well uh iterators huh, so I can tell you have read some of my ramblings before (very fun) and I will say in general I stand by those ideas - model differences and stuff - with some smaller changes here and there, for instance I made pebbles antennas stupidly long cause I think it looks funny - plus tons of tiny refinements, but generally I dont have too much to add unless theres something specific your wondering about - so I wont focus to much on that. Instead I'm gonna chat a bit about the other stuff you mentioned (NSH and wire headwear) ^-^ so heres the guys! (I'm gonna expand a bit on their design designs)

Ok so you have actully managed to point out something I really hoped no one would notice, which is that I never draw No Significant Harrasment (NSH) - who I hope you meant when you asked about sig, if not then dont look at me - and that is because I despise him with my whole heart. Or well, his design, the character is fine but I cannot draw this guy, I hate his colour scheme and his stupid little cape and why is his head symbols green on green - who allowed this - and in general we are not friends, which is a pity because I have alot of headcanons about him. But as you can see above I have semi settled on a design for him (note the semi, I am not super happy about it) and I do have some toughts and explanations.

So first of, I put NSH as being from the same model generation as suns - so predecessing moon and pebs by a bit - with older designs that have a larger focus on "religious stuff" combined with the anchients overall bonkers fashion sense - more is more - if you wanna read more about that its in this post about suns.

- I would also, this is a side note btw, like to mention I think having them being older models gives room to have some key differences between the oldies (NSH and suns) and the youngsters-ish (moon and pebs) in that one, they have older machinery and also early machinery which means both rougher quality and more wear and tear - which I like to think give them both the idea of slugcats as messangers earlier than most, as they knew their easily damaged functions (broadcast masts for example) would not last forever, which gives them a reason to want to solve it (by breeding scugs I guess) and added onto that I - and this is pure headcanon and speculation - like to imagine a lot of the "taboos" that pebbles and moon have - or well that I speculate they have, the no killing yourself or harming citizens taboo is confirmed canon, but I dont think its farfetched to asume they have other restrictions programmed - something that would most likely be added in later modles, but would be absent in the earlier ones like suns and NSH (not the earliest models but early) which theoreticly would give them a bit more leeway and "creative freedom", which ok why am I talking about this back to why NSH looks like that. -

Back to that, so suns and NSH will share design similarities: lack of face (to represent a lack of ego), lots of robes and layers, which leads us into the slightly more relevant sidenote of iterator clotheing:

So fashion comes and goes in cycles, your mom rebeled against her grandmothers clothing choises and is horrified when that fashion comes back via her daughter who think it looks cool again (20 year old rule or whatever) and that also applies to iterator design (look at that old suns ask for more info on this). So while I have talked about general trends a little, now I wanna talk about waistlines - in robes, because I have wanted an exscuse to talk about it, I be brief promise!

: so like you probably havent noticed all my iterators have different waistlines, or at least the ones from different generations - ignore moon, I'm a no robe for moon beliver, I like to draw joints and wires to much to give her robes - and I will sadly report I have not looked to closely at actual anchient fashion for the choises I made, but well cant have everything. So the most notable is probably pebbles, where I, ok Imostly fell for temptation of a modern highwaist cut, which while moslty being about my own tatse, also is an atempt to convey some form of "modernity" because while its a bright orange robe on a robot, it has a similar cut to highwaisted jeans. Which gives the silhoute from a couple years ago with a big bulky upper body and stick legs. But pebbles isnt intresting in that way, no its because every other design is a resistence against that.

And this again leads into the cycles of fashion. Because we know iterators were built under many cycles - however long those are - so we can asume it will be kinda like how fashion has changed from the 11th centrury to now. Which gives to reason that iterators have been dressed differently too. This added with that - from what I understood - different iterator cities (colonies) had different cultures (boradcast, red, in sky islands) all this then makes me kinda figure that the iterators should have different robes. Yes that was a long winded way to say that characters look different.

So back to waistlines and how their all anti pebbles robes - the most notable difference is of course suns, who has no waistline. They are not only without to create a bigger difference between them and pebbles, but to also lean a bit on - and this might not be the same for every culture - but on the general idea that older clothes were more "modest" or in this case, there are more layers and any hints of there being a body under there is desperatly covered. and that "modern clothes" have less layers and have show more skin - not that pebble is showing skin, but hes wearing one robe instead of seven. So with that the idea that suns is older is conveyed a little bit at least, and the same then applies to NSH. NSH while also having lots of layers, is different from suns by having an empire waistline, mostly because I think their cute and need them to look different, but also to give a hint that they have different city fashion cultures and also because when I see empire waists i think old paintins and old paintings=old.

-also while I'm on the subject of cultural differences between iterator facilities. Can we talk about how we only really get to see anchient society as its presented in moon and pebbles (shared?) facility. So really its very possible the whole aestetic is complelty different like five local groups away. Food for thought. -

So faceless and robe-rich is a similarity between suns and NSH, and I could mention many more, but I'm gonna restrain myself and only talk about headphones. As you can tell I - and most fanartist here - like to draw their antennas differently for all of them! which is also canon, but I also ignored canon so were gonna talk about it. Mostly the antennas give room for some fun mini details, like how moons look like wings or fins while suns are just sunbeams.

Anyhow so most people make NSH bald, me included, mostly because the super cool official art of him gives him no antennas (sad). I asume that means he works via bluetooth.

(I was about to start speculating about their headphones but that got to boring even for me so sorry if your super intrested in why iterators probably have headphones)

But I had a ulterior motive with bringing up the headphones - and not only to be able to point out moons antenna, which I delight in drawing - but also so that I can transition into the second part of this way to long response! itertors hairdos... wire-dos? basicly this \/

(im reusing my wip because these are a pain to draw so we use what we have - I coloured them in a bit for better oversight.)

(also I was gonna start talking about if iterators would actully do personalisations like this - as we can argue about if they concepulize themself as their puppets and see a meaning to decorating them - I would argue yes but also its complicated- and also explain how iterators have different prefernces, which I realised most people probably already asume so I didnt need to explain that - anyhow so that got to long so I'm not gonna get into it. Instead were gonna go into this section with the assumptions that they do fun things with their wires. and also that the wires connect to their nape and backhead instead of their back or spine.)

So to me th biggest thing to remember when we talk about potetial wire headwear is that:

- iterators live 24/7 without gravity and because of that cannot be bothered by to heavy headwear, therefore theres rooms for them and anchients (and me) to get funky with it without having to concider gravity.

-anchients wore absurdly many decorations - and while giving iterators flashy decorations does take away from my earlier statement that they were based on more humble monk stuff, we are going to asume they used the fancy headwear for cermonies and festivals (which we also know anchients did) and that it was used for showcasing and fun. If some iterators preffered to keep them afterwards is another query.

So with that in mind lets break these headwear thingies down!! :D

so as you can (hopefully) tell there three components in the headwear. The headphones that are different depending on iterator and are not removable (or as unremovable a computer part can be). Then theres the actual headpieces that keeps the wires togheter. These can be switched out and changed depending on whats preffered - also I drew them in gold but any material works, if were being closer to canon they would probably be made of some purposed organism and maybe be neon pink - theres also pearls dangling from them because its a perfect opertunity. Third theres probably the part I think is the most fun which is the actual wires. They obviously go through the headpieces and then are set free via wiretassles (that also comes in different forms) and after that is where my own speculations about wires comes in. Which is really simple in that iterators can most probably move the wires at will - they can control their arm thing, pearls and other objects in their chambers, reasonably they can move the wires - and I think its fun if different iterators move them differently. Like suns keeps them straight and neat, or pebbles moves them in syncronized formations or moon who just lets them hang, so many oppertunities ok ( you can see the general idea in the drawing). The wires then connect to their movement arms and connect to the mainframe.

And thats kinda about it? I dont have like anything super intresting to say about just the hairdos other than that I think its very fun and also that everyone is sleeping on wire customizations I am obbsessed with the idea send help.

wait i might need to re-read a lil but can psy tell that jett ash blood shadow is/is part of a system? if psy met other systems could they maybe tell because of the difference in their “voice” ?

short answer: yes Psy can tell the difference in system member's voices and can tell that JABS is a system, and they have definitely come across other people with multiple voices in their head over the course of their life. but they don't comment on it at all in the narration, really.

long answer because i love talking:

in universe explanation: Psy simply doesn't care, and doesn't find it a necessary thing to comment on. thats just the way Jett is. it's interesting, but frankly it's something Jett keeps a secret from most of the people in its life so Psy would feel weird about going into it in the narration any more than absolutely necessary (like explaining its phantom limbs)

the real explanation: hearing multiple voices in your head doesn't definitively necessarily mean you're a system and we wanted to keep it kind of ambiguous to let the readers interpret that however they wanted. like, admittedly, yes. JABS is a system, heavily based on my (Cat's) system and that's technically the intention when writing him. but i wouldn't be offended (and would actually find it really cool and interesting) if other people interpreted it differently to, say, see it as him having THEIR mental illness which makes them hear multiple different voices in their head like that and/or experience delusions and whatnot.

some behind the scenes talk below the cut because you've activated my trap card of letting me talk about our comic

jett being a system was actually a pretty late decision in the writing process! as we draw the chapters i am also rewriting a lot of jett's thoughts to reflect being a system! changing some of the "i"s to "we"s and such, adding more distinct voices and conversations within its thoughts... stuff like that!

originally, it was more in line with kaido from saiki k where he sort of just writes fantasy stories and pretends theyre real? and like, kind of has delusions about them? but i have also seen interpretations of kaido being a system which i think rules. so basically, we're doing that but on purpose. a lot of Psy is us taking our fun headcanons from saiki k and doing them on purpose haha! like all the queerness for example, as well as Jett's physical disabilities

also, i at one point had the idea in my head of Psy having a habit of armchair diagnosing people all the time based on their thoughts, but quickly discarded that. it would have been in a 100% non judgemental way, sort of just "sounds like he has DID or something" and stuff. like. just cause they think it's interesting and kinda fun to psychoanalyze people since they can literally hear all their thoughts lol. i think that idea had the potential to be funny, but ultimately i was worried about it getting.... messy, and a bit iffy to write ethically, so now i'm kind of leaning the opposite way where they actively try not to psychoanalyze. tbh they probably still do this, they just dont say it in the narration. Psy knows they have people watching them. they wanna look good.

✨️Don't mind me, just peptalking myself and spewing it into the void ✨️

Its really strange having a following on social media. I've made so many friends and gotten opportunities I wouldn't have without it. Overall I think I've found a little slice of heaven online. Its 90% kindness in my corner and the other 10% is inevitable. I think the hardest part has been seeing the numbers. It's ingrained in us to view these numbers as a currency. More = better, less = worse. They aren't really numbers though, they are (mostly🤖) people.

I would never expect the attention of hundreds of thousands of individuals. I wouldn't even expect a room full of a dozen to all pay attention to me so why does it feel like rejection when the numbers drop? I know it's just people's tastes changing, people growing, or expeting something different. Why does it feel like someone is saying "I don't like you"? Why does it feel like something in my life is actively leaving me when I don't even know the username, let alone the person, leaving? I hate that I have to see the stupid numbers when I go to my profile to find a video in my saved folder. I don't want to know "how many people left me" last night. There is always this voice in my head that it means I've done something wrong, that I've harmed someone to make them leave but I will meticulously crawl through my videos to see what could have been misinterpreted or left without explanation and I can't find anything that stands out. I start to wonder if maybe I'm just too stupid to see it. Too ignorant. Too cold hearted. If maybe I'm not meeting the expectations of kindness I set for myself. Maybe I'm not funny, just strange. Maybe it makes people feel uncomfortable. I should dial it back. I should think about dialing back personality to make sure I'm more palatable... but if people don't see the real me, who would they be following?

So I do it. I put myself out there. I make the silly videos with my authentic dopey self on display. I put together a little video, a slice of my day, like a diary. I love capturing all the bits. The lighting, the flowers, the bees and trees. The way my ducks waddle after me or the food I made. Marbles sleeping and her paws twitching. I love film and photography as an art form. Finding the angles and lighting to capture the feelings the moment is giving me in a way I can share with others. Part of it is so my daughter will have a way of knowing me and how I saw the world when I'm gone. I would give almost anything to have something like that from my own mother. To see how she saw the world and maybe have some clues for the unanswered questions she left me with. Outside of art and memories, film is just fun. I love finding music that's inspiring and seeing how each sound can change the entire energy of a clip. Like lining up words for laughs or tears. I would do it all again and again even if no one was watching. It's like a game where I'm trying to find the story in my day and pull out just 1 second from each moment to tell it in a way people who weren't there might enjoy watching with no context. Sometimes i win and people love it! Sometimes I think I've got something really great but no one sees it so I don't get to know whether it was watch worthy or just average. Sometimes people do see them and just dont like them, which I personally find better than not knowing.

Social media is a fickle beast. You have algorithms crawling captions for trending words - Heartfelt messages that use descriptive language beyond buzzwords wont do. You have filters looking at the videos themselves for clips that match what it's looking to push - Was every shot photo perfect? Was the lighting good enough for the filters to pick out my face or cute animals? The sound suits the video perfectly - but is it trending? What's the like to view ratio, what about comments and is that enough or are they weighing saves or shares more? Did I leave a comment somewhere or interact with a post that was too political? Am i off the fyp because of it?

I love data and being able to look for trends but statistics tells you not to play lotto, not how to win. As with gambling, it's about learning your limits and sticking with them. Knowing what you're willing to lose and never going beyond that point. If I win a bit, great! If I lose, I lost what I expected to lose and hopefully had some fun in the process ($10 on lord of the rings slot machines when in vegas was a $10 experience I was willing to pay for, plus they gave me a drink!). While I feel that sense of rejection when seeing the numbers, I know I have lost nothing. Making and sharing the art with the friends I've found is worth the sense of insecurity. Absolutely, everytime, YES. When I think about it objectively, outside of my profile page with my social currency on display, I don't care at all about the numbers. It's about the people. I love seeing what my friends have to say about the ducks this morning. I love chatting about what to grow next season or seeing all the ideas for crafts I'm thinking of. I love hearing other people's stories of their own similar experiences. I love the recipie ideas. I love finding people who want to sew and helping them find the right patterns or machine or troubleshoot. I love talking about tinyhomes and what works and what doesn't. The friendships I've made are invaluable. I get so much warmth, love and support. They don't wax and wane with the faceless numbers. This is why I continue. This is the part that matters. This is what the social mediabexperience is all about, actually socialising.

Chuck e cheese pony and I went to the fnaf movie! I have a lot of thoughts (fnaf autism you see.) so look below the cut for spoilers

(I am just copy pasting my thoughts from discord so they might be messy. also sorry if im incoherent. i have a different interpretation about fnaf games than most other fans, but thats mostly irrelevant since the movie is a different universe than the games)

it was good! i enjoyed it for what it was! nothing is even sticking out to me as “negative story elements” other than stuff that was like. “oh no people better not interpret this stupid in relation to the games” like vanessas relation to william or the fact that mike is carrying around a book that says “Dream Theory” on it (this has an explanation in the movie tho, its not related tot he stupid ass “everything is a dream” theory. its because mike witnessed his little brother getting kidnapped (by william) when he was young, and the dream theory is that “everything youve ever seen is stored deep in your memories, dreams can be a way to unlock those memories” and hes trying to remember the face of the kidnapper, he needs closure and to figure out what happened i enjoyed the storys focus on mike and his little sister (theres a plot about how like. mikes aunt who is “mean and smells like cigarette smoke” is trying to take abby away because money reasons, neither mike nor abby want this, its a custody battle) and theres themes about like. mike needing to accept the past (what happened to his brother was horrible but he cant do anything to change that now, and he needs to protect his sister Right Now because she represents like. whats most important to him and his future Now.) i enjoyed that i also like that the animatronics arent just fucking evil! they kill people but only like. bad people who broke in and vandalized. they tried to hurt mike and also they tried to kill abby, but its explained that springtrap is manipulating them to do that. the kids dont wanna hurt anyone but hes tricking them into doing it. and i enjoy how at the end, to beat william abby has to make the animatronics remember how bad he is and that hes the one they should really be hurting lol theres a scene where the animatronics build a giant blanket fort with abby

i liked vanessa. shes not a murderer or anything, more similar to the nightguard vanessa (though obviously a movie au version). she was williams daughter but she hates him. at the end of the movie he stabs her and she has to be hospitalized because she was trying to save mike and abby from dying :( that “animatronic” with open face plates right? dont worry its not an actual aniamtronic. its like. a killing machine william made. so it has an in universe explaination. its just a freddy mask with spinning blades in it lol um also fetch (i'm not sure if it was actually fetch because it looked a little different)had a cameo and i lost it. also bella. the little doll henry made. except in this she was big enough to be like. a small animatronic (like the size of a real child), she had spring locks in her. balloon boy had 3 jumpscares (including one after the credits scene. it was funny) i liked all the references. there would be small references that were like. nods to the fans the only one that made me go “NOOOOOO” was. theres a scene in a diner. and the guy who takes their order was MATPAT and it took me like 20 seconds to notice and he said “well thats just a theory” and then he left. i hate mat pat but i have to admit thats funny for them to do there were like 3 swear words. ass, asshole, shit

also while it was a little annoying. it was funny that i was in a theater of over 100 people because everyone yelled at the same time like “NOOOO” when a character hides in a ballpit. or laughing at the same time. theres a part where a girl is putting her head near freddys mouth and she gets killed and everyone shouted “WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87?” or everyone going “AWWWWWWW” When its revealed the animatronics are friendly and that theyre gonna build a blanket fort together. idk it was fun. everyone screamed at tlt fnaf song

the animatronics were cool looking! i enjoyed them :) the eyebrows and eyelids made them very expressive!

their eyes have lights in them to make them glow. they look soft…. i enjoy how their facial features move? like theres a scene where like. freddy looks so mad like hes gonna kill mike. and then abby is like “freddy this is my brother mike hes a fried! :D” and then the way they have the animatronics face move naturally to make it look like a fond friendly smile? very cute and i liked it

there was a digimon advertisement before hand and i lost my mind because i have a digimon special interest

i have more thoughts but those were my main ones :3

EPISODE 8 TRIVIA:

- the big monster they fought in the beginning was called a Crawling Apocalypse which looks like this. terrifying !!!

- bizly really liked that william banished it. he was originally not gonna let him do that but then "i realized your character can do so little and that was cool so i said fuck it" we love william pity points he is such a loser and he rolls so terribly <3

- they start talking about one piece because grizzlys saying things abt how certain parts of dakota are inspired by luffy and bizly goes "ive never watched anime" which is the biggest lie in the world

- grizzly: "yknow we were about an hour into the episode before i realized wow i havent done anything productive yet"

condi: "you just hit on vyncents mom for like 20 minutes!!!!"

- and then they start talking about how dakota and chip (bizlys pc from riptide) would either be best friends or hate each other which is really funny bc there are now MULTIPLE what if crossover episodes where they meet and interact and thats exactly the dynamic . i love them

- condi wasnt expecting his dad to be dead, he thought theyd have to fight him

- he kind of hesitated taking the sword !! vyncent doesnt really know how to feel about using something that belonged to his father

- he wasnt entirely Present for the part where his dad betrayed the party, he was sort of fading in and out of consciousness so theres a chance he didnt actually get the full picture. condi knows this out of character and vyncent knows it in the back of his mind somewhere that his dad might not actually be fully evil but hes too angry to come to terms with that yet

- hes struggling a lot with the fact that his mom.doesnt know about the betrayal. he doesnt want to tell her because "its not his fathers pride at stake, its his mother's memory of him" and that makes me so . :(

- THE GREATS!!!!!!!! THE GREATS ARE HERE i love the greats. surely nothing bad is happening to them

- they have a couple theories as to whats going on with the greats:

-- condi: theyre in this state because vyncent took too long getting them back here out of his head

-- condi: they were killed when they got transported to the other world and there was no way to get them back completely

-- charlie: something happened in the time where vyncent was transported to prime and the greats had died, so someone did something to keep them alive by putting them in his head. maybe they could only be kept alive by being in vyncents head

- grizzly tries to insight check bizly irl to see if any of their theories are close so far. this does not work . he rolled a 17 btw

- none of them trust minerva they think she might be secretly working with the lich. bizly defends her by saying "shes also in the middle of basically an apocalypse i think shes allowed to be a little mean to you"

- le frog is the only french person ever. this is brought up with NO context no explanation

- bizly is sharing some of the thumbnail art from youtube because this was right around the time the first few episodes were being put up publically !! most of them are just the same as the official refs but the most important one is le frog bc im not actually sure if youve seen his offical design yet . also tide used to be white. we dont have to talk about white tide

- bizly says pd feels more like a DC comic than a Marvel comic. hes right about this

- charlie starts talking about marissa meyer books and this is important 2 me because the lunar chronicles was an extremely formative piece of media for me . she apparently has a book called renegades thats superhero themed and i have not read it yet but i put it on my list specifically because of this. wahoo!

tgis is SUCH good trivia for this ep thank u dude... ouagh. really solid meal here. i love these last couple episodes so much.. there's so much fun stuff happening here i'm enjoying all of the greats stuff & getting like a solid Vyncent Moment for a while.

i LOVE the william pity points its great! it WAS cool as fuck!! also i gain +5 hp every time a gm goes "who give a shit if this isn't technically how the game mechanics should work, it's fun for everyone at the table & makes for something cool and makes sense narratively."

first of all and i CANNOT stress this enough, trans. she is a trans woman. this is very important!!! RAAHHH

and to add to that i'd like to think that her "design gal" appearance is the product of her finally expressing herself, which is why she's wearing a lot more colorful accessories and trying a new style she usually didn't have prior... and the whole "new passion for fashion" quote is DEFINITELY an indicator of her being more comfortable with herself and her interests, especially branching out to other things that don't have to do with the EPF

dot is fond of giving her fellow agents nicknames! she likes to call rookie "rooks" and (canonically) calls the agent "ace", she also teasingly calls jpg "big guy" just to annoy him

heres some relationship stuff below!

to rookie, she is a very dependable and understanding older sister figure. the two are very close and rookie enjoys going out on missions with her just as much as he enjoys doing so with jpg. dot has always been offering a helping flipper to rookie

to jpg, dot is very sassy and kind of ruthless. she likes to tease him a lot, mostly to see his reaction. but the two do get along, especially when talking about their common interest in fashion. jpg owes a lot to dot's talent and skill, even if he has to take in all of dot's teasing all the time

dot owes a lot to aunt arctic, mostly because of ANOTHER SCENARIO I MADE UP IN MY HEAD but basically it had to do with dot first coming into the island, and more or less being really distant and cold. a lot of that personality really softened when she got recruited into the EPF

occasionally, her old cold-hearted nature can sometimes stick out, especially when she's angry. which is one of the main reasons why jpg never attempts to fight back against her teasing. she is simply too girlboss i fear

i also originally planned for her to be the one who made rookie's hawaiian shirt. i scrapped the headcanon in favor of an oc explanation, but i'll just leave it here :3

dot enjoys scrapbooking and crafts in general! there is a board in her igloo that contains a lot of photos, she is very crafty!

dot's parents are both models, and they taught her how to improvise on fashion when she was younger. that's how she ended up being really good at making disguises out of simple materials.

despite that, dot does not get along well with her family!

dot has crossdressed a lot before, mostly for her disguises, but occasionally she does it for fun.

(semi-canon?) she has a lot of friends around the island, and maybe even moreso in the fashion industry

her personality has hardened a lot more after the events of operation blackout, she became a lot more focused and just.. a teensy tiny bit more stern

everyone in the EPF means a lot to her, she cares about all of them like family. (and she probably cares more about them than her own family but i digress) just like gary, she'd rather be cryogenically frozen 20 times over than see the EPF get destroyed in front of her

Really, in all fairness, Michael had absolutely no right to be as thoroughly ticked off as he was at the moment. Quinn had done nothing wrong — he was just annoyed about the fact that someone else was trying to coach him in his job here, at his own father's company. Every little bit of assistance or instruction felt condescending. It wasn't, of course, Quinn was just trying to help, to get him situated properly during his first few shifts, but, God, he knew all of this already. Could probably take one of these bots apart and put them back together in his sleep at this point — at least, he'd like to think so. Okay, maybe he wasn't that familiar with the intricacies of his position, but, Hell, he'd quite literally grown up alongside these things. With how obsessed his father was with these creations of his, they'd seemed as much a part of their family as he and his siblings had, at times. There was no other explanation for it — why else would his father prioritize them so far above him if that wasn't the case?

Elbows propped up on his desk, he covered his face with his hands for a moment before sliding them down to support his chin. Letting out a shaky breath. Needed to control his temper — this minor irritation was both entirely inconsequential and entirely not Quinn's fault, not to mention unproductive. He needed to get himself under control. Snapping at his instructor wasn't going to help anyone.

He could probably blame his lack of patience on his current state of sleep deprivation — which, obviously, was more common than not, nowadays, unwilling as he was to put himself through his constant nightmares just for a few useless hours of rest — his mind felt raw, overworked ... it was no wonder he was having trouble keeping it together with the throbbing ache that had made itself at home behind his eyes.

"Look — they're just robots." Freaky robots, yes, robots that he'd never wanted to set foot near ever again after what had happened when he was younger, but they were just robots nonetheless. "I don't care about them– about what goes on out there. That's not part of my job — I'm just supposed to be here in my office. Keeping an eye on things. So why, exactly, do I need to know how they work? They're all the way out there. Where I don't have to worry about them." A pause, uneasy silence — eventually he had to turn to see the employee standing behind his chair. "Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked, voice very much level and calm and not at all worried. Certainly not. "They are going to stay all the way out there, right?" The question would sound paranoid in just about any other situation, but, of course, this was the only one where his fears might actually be founded — unbeknownst to him, of course.

He was in way over his head, and yet he was exactly where he was supposed to be. It wasn't like he'd expected this job to be smooth sailing, what with his history with the company, but he'd known he was uniquely suited for the role. Applied, took the offer out of a sense of duty, of necessity — not because he wanted to be there or anything. No, he wanted to be as far away from this place as possible, but he was used to what he wanted being entirely disregarded at this point, so why would he even bother giving his own opinion any weight?

"Please tell me they're gonna be staying out there. The bots aren't the part you thought I could 'handle,' right? Please tell me you meant something else." Oh, Michael. You never should've taken the job.

i would like to share with you some aspects of and quotes from the longest fic ive ever written because i wrote it a year and a half ago and it is fucking insane (despite me actively trying to make it less insane than the first iteration which is also my second longest fic) its a k2 fic and this is the closest itll ever get to seeing the light of day :))))

i hope this is as hilarious to others as it is to me 😭 also it is indeed less insane than the first iteration lol. that one is.. oh man. oh boy.

kyle calls principal victoria a neo nazi

“Things I'd regret, huh? he mulled. That was true—there are many things he'd done while alone that he would later regret. What had Kenny done? Smoked too much weed? Cheese-grated his jeans a little too much?” one of many examples of me not knowing how to be funny

kyle has abusive parents and a tragic backstory bc of course he does

“In his mind, he hit himself over the head with a rolled-up newspaper as if to knock the gay out of him. It didn't work, surprisingly.”

kyle is a colossal asshole to kenny but kenny continues to try and be his friend (and fuck him) and i even acknowledge in the text that it makes no sense but i dont bother to try and come up with an explanation. maybe kyle was just that sexy idk

“Kyle liked doing assignments on Google Docs because there was no need to get eraser shavings everywhere and suffer through constant hand cramps. It was so much more efficient to turn in his work, too.” did i just put a little google docs ad in my south park fanfic??

“Kyle would do everything he could to get Kenny to stop talking to him. He was not afraid to threaten murder.” kyle please 😭

one paragraph basically goes like this: “kenny wanted to fuck kyle. he decided he would have to befriend kyle first if he was gonna get lucky. oh and he wouldnt mind just being friends with kyle hes cool” YOU CANT SET UP THE PREMISE THAT KENNY IS GONNA BEFRIEND KYLE TO FUCK HIM AND THEN IMMEDIATELY CONTRADICT YOURSELF SARA

“The rest of the day passed by quickly, Kenny being wrapped up in his thoughts and barely noticing the time passing by.” <-me not wanting to write the rest of the day bc i wouldve gotten bored

kyle makes a very un-kyle-like joke (“‘One of these days a poor person is gonna make themselves at home in there,’ Kyle remarked harshly.” [hes talking about stans locker]) because every single character in this fic is so ooc it physically hurts to read

“He didn't know why—he just really liked blood. Maybe it reminded him of all the fights he'd won, the agonized wails of his enemies, the satisfying feeling of bones breaking underneath his fist.” jesus christ kyle

kyle makes so. SO many really stupid and goofy sounding threats but everyone reacts like what he said was actually threatening and not ridiculous (example: “‘If you ever attempt to fuck with me again, I'll scoop our your nerve system with a grapefruit spoon and eat it like spaghetti, with your blood as the sauce.’ … It seemed like everyone's jaws dropped in that moment, Kenny's and Stan's included. He was taken aback, to be sure.” THAT IS SO SILLY WHY)

“It had been so satisfying to feel the bone break underneath his fist, to see the idiot's fat face contort into an anguished grimace. The blood gushing out of his nose was like a beautiful ruby-red waterfall, and his scream was an intricate symphony composed just for Kyle.” KYLE OH MY GOD

this isn't for the ask game I'm just curious! I know your a big liphiyo shipper but what are your thoughts on the other hiyori ships? like asuka x hiyori, mona x hiyori, juri x hiyori, chizuru x hiyori, nagisa x hiyori and hina x hiyori?

oh! sorry i am late getting to this, anon, i was in the basement. i have a lot of thoughts!

i like asuka/hiyori as an explanation of canon, mostly? i dont know how to put this but like. i dont want them in a relationship but exploring the dynamic of hiyori liking him is so interesting to me. because the entire point is exploring the typical shoujo love at first sight storyline! hiyori falls for this guy and it's explored that she really is just romanticizing a guy she barely knows and that he really isn't the perfect prince she's imagining. like it's the idealization of an image he can never live up to, one that is more forced on him than a reflection of who he is, and then hiyori realizing that and being okay with it. i am in love with the exploration of immature first loves that become happy bittersweet memories. sometimes your first love ISN'T like the ones out of romance movies or manga or stories and THAT'S OKAY! hiyori moves on! she becomes his friend instead! because this is a story about how the experience changed her as a person and helped her grow closer to aizo and yujiro!

mona and hiyori are very cute and i wrote them a hundred fics one week. the only thing is that like. i super hardcore headcanoned mona as aroace and it's hard for me to like, unwire that to ship her with people? like ive only managed that an utterly miniscule amount of times compared to the total amount of fics ive written. so like all of my attempts to write hiyomona fics i have actually been fighting my instinct to say mona is aroace.

juri and hiyori are cute but to be honest i've actually fallen in love with juri/kodai as a ship since their mvs came out! so my image of juri/hiyori is mostly "they are smooching and they told their boyfriends and their boyfriends are fine with it"

hiyori/chizuru occupies a funny space in my head because. chizuru is insane and punched hiyori in the face out of love for aizo, BUT, if you can't tell from my love for liphiyo, i love shipping hiyori with tsunderes, and there is something insanely funny to me about the idea of chizuru being in denial that she loves hiyori even as she's replacing her aizo shrine with a hiyori shrine. like it's funny but also if i stop to think about it long enough that would be an incredibly fucked up dynamic

nagisa/hiyori is like? i actually love childhood friends and pining guys and i adore ships with that dynamic in other media but. but this is the series with liphiyo in it and liphiyo rewrote my brain wiring? like if liphiyo weren't there and nagisa were introduced sooner i might have liked it but my brain just focuses on liphiyo more

hina/hiyori is cute! i do like hiyori adoring her senpai and i think the idea of kotaro competing with hiyori is funny.

tl:dr : every ship except asuka/hiyori and mona/hiyori is a "if liphiyo didn't exist i might have gone insane over it" and mona/hiyori is just like. i struggled with writing mona romance fics because of my aroace mona headcanon until i just ultimately gave up on writing her dating anyone and just had her be besties. asuka/hiyori is just like. i love the realistic take on moving on from your first love so i like the dynamic independent of liphiyo but also. it's a dynamic that hinges on them never getting together

enough on the writing、you did follow my ideas well so dont worry !! kaname still thinking he'd be so slick and all but in reality is just a little guy with a mind bridled with mess is so real and true.. i dont think he'd change much anyway so :") ;; the idea of everyday dates with him was ideal and i didnt even think of it. of course we'd want to talk everyday with our old best friend after seeing him again after so long! the personality you portrayed for the reader was also close enough to mine in a way、i feel、so even with the little teasing and all it felt so personal and nice in a way to me AND I KNOW YOU COULDVE HAD NO IDEA OF THIS BUT AHH 😭💖💖💖 and the confession part where he stopped us mid way to say it instead.. and the kiss... it was all and all so so perfect really :") i couldnt have asked for a better fic than this. it was also so much longer than i expected! i really wish i could write EVEN MORE to show my utmost gratitude towards this but genuinely im out of words、feel like i wrote too much at the same time as well ;; thanks once again anddd i cant wait for the other kaname fic as well!!! salutations to the other kaname requester ♡♡

and the fact that your personality is similar to y/n’s is so funny AHDJDJD i won’t lie and say i inserted a few things about my personality in there. extrovert (y/n) x introvert (kaname) is my favourite trope out there

unfortunately i mixed up the names in my head and there actually isn’t another kaname request rn 😭 most of my reqs so far are actually tsumugi!

MADOKA: so powerful, so cool and clever and aaaa I love her sm

definitely one of my faves ever. I know I said it a lot but her laptop scanning and battle explanations were like the highlights of the show for me!! Also the scene where she enters the survival battle with Yu and Kyoya ?? iconic behavior, it was awesome!! I really like her pink jacket in fusion, I really wish she got more screentime and storylines centered around HER. It's like that with a lot of characters and even more so with the girls of the series but Madoka appears in almost every episodes but she very rarely gets to shine and that makes me sad :( I know other people talked about it better than I did but yeah

also the goggles, very nice, makes me think of Hay Lin from the W.I.T.C.H and that's awesome. Also yeah I blasted her with my nonbinary ray, madoka non binary true and real

Kenta the sweetest of boys: he's just he's so nice and so pure and aaaargh!! his role in fusion is really cool and I love to see his evolution with bey battles during the whole series, I think he is the character whose training and improvement shows the most how far he's come!! I love that, he doesn't give up on becoming better and that's really nice, he wants to keep having fun with his friends :(( And he was done so dirty in masters, he was put on the sidelines and that really sucked, I liked this season but man,, Kenta :(

But then I liked how once again he got put aside in Fury but it resulted in him having one of the best plots in the season/entire show!! His dynamic with Ryuga is really cool, although I would have liked to see more of the two together and learning to tolerate and understand each other :(( like at first before watching fury, based on the fandom posts I saw I thought they acted nicely and like friends towards the end but nope ryuga just pushed him to the ground :') i didn't find that scene very touching like I was led to believe, disappointed but not surprised.. Anyway Kenta is an awesome character, I know he's not the protagonist but his journey really is one of the best in the show and more people should appreciate him. His dynamic with Gingka: Awesome, lovely, wholesome, can be a little angsty if you think too much about it

with Benkei: awesome, love how he's a big part of Benkei's character development and their back and forth

with Madoka: cute, love it, i imagine them cooking together

underrated: his relationship with Sora is very good too, I love how he's the level-headed one and we see how much of gingka's personality and values he got from him it's very sweet

I love his bey, it's one of my favourite and I'm really really happy because I have it :D the colours are just *chef's kiss*

Also he looks 8 and travels alone in fusion and fury?? in what world-

Little my!!! Really like her, she's funny and feral and really a good addition to the moomin family. I love how she was canonically adopted, and just does whatever she wants all the time. I want to carry her in a handbag and she'd totally fit and fall asleep in it

And also her dynamics with other characters are just the best, my favourites are with Sniff, Moominmamma, Moomin and of course Snufkin. The feral siblings are just the best and they even do vandalism together, I love them

Heads up, all of this is purely based on my head cannons for him

My NOTP for them: tobi, its really funny to think about but not really for me. I dont think my notp for him is because he hates all uchiha but more so because Tobi's and Deidara's personalities dont mesh well together, and i do also mean [spoiler]'s personality as well.

List of other people I dont think mesh well with Deidara:

Kakashi, Kankuro, Ino, Kakazu, sasuke

For a lot of these ships, in my opinion they just dont work for me.

My BROTP for them: ok so I do ship Sassori with Deidara but like hes just a really cool bro as well. Kishimoto does an amazing job of providing us with brotp ships that are homoerotic, hate each other, but like also theyd die for one another. I think more times than often about how Deidara and Sasori just veg out in a hidden away nook in their journeys and either spend all their resting time arguing and venting while meticulously working on their art, usually its when one or both of them are stuck on a new design. or they sit in complete silence, saying nothing, while smoothing out their fibishjng touches. And while the two may not agree on the other's art medium , their opinions matter to one another and passively ask for the other's opinion on what build would work better in what scenario. I can go into an essay about this so I'll stop here.

My OTP for them : -Mumbles- my oc....

..... as an adult I have realized how volatile their relationship would be. But as an adult, I no longer care. My OC Mathilda and Deidara are my OTP because of how different their personalities are and how much they apart of the "i can change them" squad. I feel like Mathilda (she/her) would actually make Deidara question his sexuality rather than piss him off right off the bat and she would make him self reflect..... like why dooooes he hate the uchihas so much? They're an eternal art that he can't understand, they go against everything he believes. Mathilda would be too, but she's a safer option to explore his sexuality with, and better yet? She too hates the uchihas????????? Fuck yeah sign me on- what do you mean I have to self reflect to get on this ride?theres a lot more to it that is heavily fanfic heascannon fodder so I'll save you from my lengthy explanation and give you my other OTP with a character that exists in the story.

Otp pt2: sasori. I mean, again, for all the reasons theyre a brotp theyre also my otp. They just GET eachother even if they hate the other's choice of aesthetics. If I want to make an argument of sexuality I feel like Deidara and Sasori's relationship could occur very naturally, had they had more time (every day im furious with how fast they were killed off instead of used more for story purposes), however I feel like it would be a lot more pinning on Deidara's part. Sasori goes against all of his beliefs but still he keeps Deidara motivated and interested.

My second choice pairing for them: itachi. Listen..... we all know Deidara has some pent up confused gay emotion directed towards itachi. Well literally anyone who can defeat him or render him powerless (lenny face here). If these two were paired up for anything, misssions would take forever to be completed but they would get done. Both would tire eachother repeatedly, making the other hate the other more until one of them, its itachi, asks what the fuck is going on. Deidara would say "i hate you because you're not art" or something along those lines and throw in a bit about how emotionless the uchihas are. Itach replys "whatever" this only enrages Deidara more till he attackss, itachi reponds and everything goes back down to an equilibrium where Itach i could ask what was really wrong and how could they change something so they could actually work together. Deidara would go on a long tangent that Itachi (lady doing math meme) deciphers that Deidara has pent up gay emotion and tells Deidara this. This sets him off but quickly fizzles Deidara out and leaves him silent for once. Oh look he's self reflecting now. Itachi/Deidara is a great ship to see Deidara mature pine and I love every second of that.

My fluffy pairing for them: sasori again, I dont think Deidara is a big physical touch person. But its about those small slice of life moments between these two if you want them to have fluff.

Another could be Sai. Yeah, there would have to be a lot to happen there for anything to develop but I feel like these two could develop the other emotionally and physically.

Too late

"Travis you have to get up you need to get ready for your game." I say and shake him awake. I've been living with him for a year. He thought it was easier for me to just move in with him. Then I started sharing a room with him for about a week.

I had taken him to dinner after winning his first game (not preseason). We had just gone to a little pizzeria. And while we were there we ended up confessing our feelings for each other.

He grabs my waist and flips over so that he's laying on top of me. "I don't wanna." He says like a child.

"but you have to" i say. I start to play with his hair and rub his back. He groans but after a couple he gets up.

"i'm gonna go take a shower." he says.

"I'll go make breakfast." I reply and get up heading to the kitchen.

I make him a some toast and eggs. After he was done with his shower he comes to the kitchen.

"It looks delicious baby." He tells me.

"Thank you." I say and then my phone goes off. "Hello? Yes this is she. What? Ok I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Whats wrong?" Travis asks me.

"My brother broke his leg." I say grabbing my purse. "I don't think I be able to make it to your game, but I will try as hard as I can."

"Hey just make sure your brother is ok. His health is more important then coming to another one of my games." He tells me.

"Ok Thank you Trav." I reply and then go to the hospital. That idiot is always doing something to get him hurt.

I ask the front desk lady what room he was in and go to it. He's sitting on the bed and football is on.

"I thought if you were going to miss Travis game you might as well watch it here." Micheal tells me.

"Thanks bro." I sit down in the chair next to his bed and we watch the game. As we are watching we see Taylor pop up on screen in Travis booth. "Wtf?" I say.

"Maybe she just really wanted to go and Travis let her come." Micheal says hopefully.

"Yeah maybe." We continue to watch the game. I can tell that his mom was a little upset and so was I. As the game progressed I notice him looking at Taylor a lot.

"Maybe he doenst actually like me." I say a little sad.

"Im sorry sis. I can turn off the game if you want to." He says. I shake my head.

"Its ok." I say. "I might start job hunting. I dont know if I could see him again. Especially if he is with her. It would hurt too much."

The doctor finally comes in and examines him. He gets put in a cast.

After I take him back to his house I go to Travis’s. When I get in there and I see Travis pacing around the room. "Y/n thank god your here there is a reasonable explanation to why she was there." Travis tells me. "She really wanted to come to a game and all of my ticket were full and then your brother got hurt and I thought it would be a good opportunity to make sure she went."

"You didn't tell me though." I reply " I would've been less upset if I knew she was going to be there. Plus why were you looking at her like that."

"Like what?" Travis asks.

"Like your in love with her." I say clearly upset.

"Baby the only way i look at her is with admiration. But you I look at you with love." He tells me. I blush a little bit.

"I'm still upset." I say.

"I'm guessing you are so that's why I'm taking you out go change into something nice my treat." He says and I do as I'm told. I change into a red dress and do my makeup. As I'm about to curl my hair Travis comes in.

"You're taking forever." he complains.

"It takes me a while to get ready. I'm almost done though I just need to finish my hair, get my purse, and put on some shoes." I tell him.

"I'll pick out some shoes for you." he tells me.

"Make sure they match." I say.

"Yeah yeah i know." travis says and picks me out some black heels. "So that you wont be that much shorter than me."

"hahaha your so funny" i tell him with sarcasm. I finish getting ready and then we go to dinner celebrating his win.

Still in the middle of D3 so no spoilers please!

I dont usually make up family headcanons with same-age characters (it leaves myself more room for shipping) but for some reason I came up with three of them here. Okay I just realized the first one theyre not same age but, uh, anyway!

Ryoma is Hiyoko's uncle. I dont have much of an explanation for this. At first I thought it would be a funny idea if Ryoma was Hiyoko's dad but then I realized that Hiyoko's dad goes to all her dance recitals while Ryoma's been in jail for a while, so that makes it kind of impossible. Just a silly idea.

Kazuichi is Kaito's younger cousin (idk what the timeline is for D3 compared to the other games yet, and I know often times this class is headcanoned as younger than the D2 class, but this is all in an au anyway). They're same-voice actor cousins. Kaito gave Kazuichi the idea to build a rocket engine, maybe they watched alien movies together when they were little. Kaito hasn't seen Kazuichi since she was still in her booknerd phase, so Kaito would laugh a lot if you told him that his nervous, fidgety cousin went through a "scary punk phase." Have an idea for a short fanfic where he calls and says he's coming to visit her again and she's mid-transition at this point and unsure about coming out to him - I think he'd be cool with it. He'd possibly confuse trans with drag at first but he would be supportive and say that he's glad to see Kazuichi gain some confidence and self-esteem "even if you're still a bit fidgety" (Kaito that's not from being afraid that's just the adhd). Also Kaito and Zoey get along alright.

Nagito is Kokichi's older brother. (potential ableism trigger warning, also a warning for that sibling dynamic where one kid is neglected for the sick/disabled kid). There's angst potential as well as funny potential. This is more subject to change since there's a lot I still dont know about Kokichi, but from what I can tell he's a manipulative liar always making scenes to get attention and even though some of the fandom says he is "a normal person faking mental illness," I dont buy it. Maybe he's faking something, but he definitely has something too. Not sure if this is a controversial opinion, but I believe that people who fake mental illnesses (to this degree at least) are not neurotypical, it's a cry for help and they do need something, so they shouldn't be brushed off as just "ableist assholes" because there is something going on, though on the flip side it is not the job of other mentally ill people to coddle their feelings when that person is being ableist.

I think Kokichi also went through some trauma, like something happened with his family that made him have to attend court sessions (he said in the first trial that he had to go to trials all the time a long time ago "for his crimes as an Ultimate Supreme Leader" but I think that's Kokichi-talk for "he was a little kid and had to sit in trials for some family drama and the adults constantly blamed him for problems that weren't his fault," which is why he plays up this sort of misbehaving bad kid role). Anyway, my ansty hcs is that Kokichi was neglected because his parents focused on Nagito's illnesses, and that's part of why he acts up to get attention. He has some resentment for that but blames his parents more than Nagito and he and Nagito have the type of sibling relationship where they're sometimes on good terms and sometimes can't stand each other. They've thrown some shade at each other but Kokichi really knows how to piss off Nagito and is not afraid to bring up "hope" to mess with his head (though if anyone else did this they would suffer Kokichi's wrath, as far as he's concerned he's the only one allowed to pick on Nagito). Nagito thinks he goes easy on Kokichi when they fight but he can be petty and sassy back and has a lot of embarrassing dirt on Kokichi. They're the kind of brothers that will pester and argue with each other but they'll bury the dead body for the other no questions asked. And Lord help you if they're in the same courtroom, they could find the dumbest little things to bicker with each other about and filibuster the case, but also Nagito will totally back up Kokichi's lies and vise-versa. Whatever creates bigger hell at the moment for the player. It was a mercy they weren't in the same game.

Anyway, since I haven't finished the game yet there's probably-definitely stuff I dont know about these characters but I got excited to share this with you.
