So i finally decked down and wrote basically rhe entirety of the Sonic 06 timeline (not PLOT-line) because i got confused while trying to figure out some things with the story-
And unironically stumbled upon the fact that Silver and Shadow literally (accidentally) created well..
[Rambling below btw. ]
1. (Probably) a bootstrap paradox (Silver cannot be created nor can the timeline that creates him be created so i have 1 time line thats functionally exist as the origion stort yet because of the solutions the writer uses (erased timeline/ self-healing timeline solutions) this origin is functionally unobtainable, yet still exists.
But this ALSO creates-
2. A grandfather-ish paradox (because Silvers future cannot be created without Silver and Shadow preventing the original apocolypse from occuring (i.e. sealing iblis/mephiles). )
But again its an "ish" because supposively he prevents his own future from happening (via creating a portal so that Sonic can save Elise)?? But its shown like.. in the same scene (the elise dies one) he travels to the future with blaze and its still on fire.? So there could be multiple timelines (as alluded to by eggman in the final episode)
So we'd have to assume theres some weird timeline shenanigns at play here because the fucking WRITING INCONSITENCY- because there was no point in time was a character shown capable of using one portal to travel to different times- (it was always future to past or past to future not future AND past!!) which again makes it so that this gets tricky since how the hell did Silver and Blaze travel to a future that was inherently prevented and resulted in the creation of Solaris?? Which means like no iblis- or mephiles? So?????? I dont know anymore.)
Oh and Silver is the (rather indirect) cause for Solaris occuring- so theres no possible way that his future occured because its made via Elise dying by eggmans ship crashing with her still inside, causing iblis to arrise-
Which is an inconsitency, because again, the only reason Elise is alive and thus Solaris is made is because Silver went "hey just go back in time sonic and save her".
Oh about that:
3. Butterfly effect (Silver is the butterfly in this case and Mephiles is the asshole who decided to release him. If you were to write down everything thats happened because of the actions of both Silver and Mephiles you'd get the equivalent story of Silver fucks up and tries to fix it but ends up fucking up again without knowing it but somehow its in Mephiles favor then its not because of Silver AGAIN. All while Mephiles kicks up his feet and trolls Shadow the hedgehog for 2 days while occasionally chatting with Silver, then kills sonic, and then dies.
For my own sake im calling Silver "the moth effect" as not only does he indirectly (and sort of directly) help create this catasrophe, but also helps to prevent it- creating the net 0 gain of what i call "moth effect" as the boy comes back to bite. )
If we ignore the "accidentally creating his own future" part then its "accidentally became the reason as to why Sonic was able go save Elise which gives Mephiles the ability to finally kill this guy without any trouble (assuming that he couldnt kill Elise due to her protective barrier power or something idk)"
Which also makes it so he inadvertly helped Solaris.. become a thing? Because if he didnt well then we just create 200+ years of Iblis apocolypse, which will just create Silver again which means Mephiles will find Silver after 200+ years and then make him touch a shiny purple rock and send him back in time to go "lets go find the truth" with shadow and "hey just timetravel" to sonic which you'd think would prevent his future but no.
BUT HES ALSO the reason for why Solaris is NOT a thing after hyping everyone up to go find the emeralds and Elise to do her prayer thing-and then helping defeat Solaris (concious) and well knocking thag bad boy unconicous so he turns into a little flame that Elise can blow out.
Which, believe it or not, erases the future that Silver is born in, making it so that he never existed in the first place (with the exception of Blaze who now lives seperate from that dimension)
But also making it so that, much likd the original timeline #1, there is no possible way for them to access timeline #2 making me worry how many fucking timelines it took untill Mephiles (aka Soalris) managed to essentially kill himself (because again, Silver is NOT a certified time travler. MEPHILES IS. He orchastreted his own flight and death like fucking Icarus. My guy sat back, let a child loose in the kitchsn and waited till the house went up in flames i-)
Feel free to argue against me btw just provide evidence to support your claims pls, as itll help me in the long run while i continue my very own Solaris project
(P.S. Elise, Mephiles and Iblis, and Solaris, all have "S" sounds in that back of their name that make you hiss like a snake if you say them fast enough)
Oh outside of 06 its almost a "fate" thing that the world must be fucked as like there cannot be a silver rhe hedgehog without the universe finding a way to make a reality in which he can exist. Unles your Silver from colors, he gets a free run before having to suffer the horros of war.

I've run into a problem...
06 sucks!
Like we knew that, but writing wise, 06 is such a mess, and I don't- I don't know what to do about it, I have fanfic ideas that take place in 06! And it's such a mess that I feel like it'll tank the quality of my fanfic just from its garbage-ness!
And you might be thinking, oh, but 06 isn't that bad, you said yourself, it's one of your favorite games of all time, and other people deal with it just fine so–
No, you don't get it, it is that bad. And you can tell because almost nothing from that game made it out alive. Like, conceptually, there's some really cool stuff in 06. Crisis City's unique environment, Mephiles as a villain, double chaos control time powers (well...), Iblis, Soleanna. All that stuff is good, but because it was in 06. 06's garbage kinda rubbed off on it, and when everyone realized the game was horrible (including SEGA) all that stuff was never attempted again. No one decided to try and make Mephiles work in new games, no mention of Crisis City, or Solanna, or anything. It all just died with the game. Which makes it all the more impressive that Silver made it out alive.
But that's not the point. We all know it's bad.
The point is that idk where to go from here? Do I keep it the way it is? Do I change it? I'm leaning towards change but what should I change? Would people like those changes?
For example, Blaze is a mess. She's "got amnesia" or whatever, and she's here, but she doesn't talk to anyone but Silver (she almost does when she says "blue hedgehog" but that barely makes any sense and it wouldn't surprise me if it was secretly a pun lost in translation), she always seems to know what Silver was up to even if she wasn't there, she doesn't affect the plot other than making Silver doubt his judgement and then leaving, it's-, it's just a mess.
So, what if we cut Blaze out, altogether? Like, she left before Silver runs into Memphis so Silver's on his own. And since silver can't rely on her to tell him whether or not to trust Mephiles, it makes it so Silver believing him shows it off as a character trait of Silver's desperate naivety instead of it feeling like Blaze sitting there watching him get tricked cuz "it'd be funny". That whole scene really feels like Silver and Blaze get tricked by Mephiles because the plot demanded it of them more than anything else.
Plus, if you don't have Blaze here, Silver's heroes journey can be, in part, trying to figure out what to do when no one's around. Lean on other people less, make his own choices. You wouldn't even really need to cut Blaze's dialogue because Silver would be thinking "what would Blaze do/say?"
And I think it'd add to their friendship, the idea that when he comes back to the future and says he knows how to defeat Iblis, she just goes along with it, and is willing to do anything for Silver because they have such a strong relationship, because she trusts him.
But would people like that retcon? What if people hate it cuz there's less Blaze content?
Idk. It's just something I've been thinking about, there's more things I'd like to change, but luckily, a lot of 06 can be improved by adding extra context, or slightly different introductions that barely change the story.
I'd love to hear what other ppl have to say about dealing with 06's writing, tho

No worries about tangent-ing! I think you raise good points; I didn't think much of it when issue 8 came out, but with other people on Tumblr pointing out the oddness of a canon character from the 'main' medium (the games) extensively gushing about a newly-introduced one in a new medium (the comics), I've increasingly found myself also considering it a ploy to hype up Whisper more than anything else. At the very least, it paints quite the negative picture of Silver, or at least greatly undoes how powerful he is supposed to be. But then again, he seems like the type of person who would absolutely destroy himself to help others (like at the end of 06 where he tries to seal Iblis into his soul), so with some suspension of disbelief I could imagine that in the Forces!war he got in over his head and got into life-threatening scrapes and had to get helped out there. (On the other hand, iirc Sonic plus the Avatar easily broke one of those massive grey Death Egg robots or whatever they're called with a spindash through the face, sooooo... But then again, in that game little got done without Sonic for six whole months anyway. I personally enjoy Forces, but that aspect of the Resistance imo definitely is odd.) Still, I think it is strange that Silver's fanboying is getting dragged up again after it should have gotten resolved at the end of the MV saga. He had his fight with Whisper at his side, they succeeded (twice, if you count the Metal Sonic stuff early on and MV afterwards), he's gotten to know her as a person who is just as fallible and flawed as anyone else, so why does the comic insist that he still has this amazingly high view of her after it has not gotten brought up since like... issue 8 and a VERY minor mention in issue 26? It doesn't come out of nowhere, but to me it feels displaced.
Furthermore, now that I think about it, Sonic's snarky reply about Whisper being Whisper's name when Silver actually whispers during her true introduction ("No, genius. Whisper is her name.") absolutely is him being a dick! That has always bothered me. As well as that whole "Couldn't even play along, had to bring the mood down." part. Maybe some concern about the world you are living getting imminently ruined, Sonic? Hmm...
I guess sorry for my long tangents in your askbox too, but I actually find it quite interesting to think about it all and analyse it in such a way!
Yeah, it gives an odd impression. I know that calling comic-exclusive characters "OCs" is controversial :P but it really feels like that. It's a lot of telling and hyping up a character that belongs to a "lesser" canon by using a character that belongs to the "main" canon.
(also, friendly reminder that Flynn back in the day explained his decision to create Tangle by putting down all canonical female Sonic characters. That's also not a good move.)
It feels like they don't know what to do with Silver and they've also ran out of characters to use, so they're bringing back one trait they had established about him to create Conflict. To be cynical, they may be not putting in much effort to be more creative since the comic is in severe danger of being cancelled :P
Boy, I re-read those few pages of #8 to put them in the post, and geez Sonic is just so unlikeable. "My over-eager friend here is Silver" dude, c'mon! Imagine if your "friend" introduced you like this to someone you admired! This is not like Sonic calling Knuckles a knucklehead after being tricked and losing them two Emeralds, it's just making fun of a guy for being awkward, I refuse to believe that Sonic would be so insensitive! Man, if I think of all the things we let slide from early IDW because of the hype... :\
(Team Sonic Racing, which came out a year after #8, had a similar chemistry between Sonic and Silver, but it came off as more endearing, and also more befitting the context because it was during a race so Sonic was expecting some trash talk lol)

Silver’s future in Sonic 06 doesn’t make any sense and they should have showed more of it to make it anything near believable, because it leaves questions like:
•Is the entire world like this? If so, how come we never find anyone other than Silver and Blaze there? Why don’t they talk about other survivals or anything like this? Are they really the only people alive in the rest of the world? We only ever see the future from Soleanna’s area, at the heart of Iblis’ destruction, so are the other parts of the world similar or less worse than what we see?
•Talking about Silver and Blaze, how come are they still alive in this apocalyptic situation? Do they search for good food and water, or better, do these still exist with the world in this state? I’ve seen theories that say that in the future, people have grown to have super powers (is this even confirmed?), so they also grew to not needing to eat anymore? Do they even sleep at this rate, knowing that at any moment Iblis could return and attack them? Why aren’t their struggles fleshed out in the story for me to care about them?
•Why wasn’t there a global campaign for searching the Chaos Emeralds to try and revert what happened? Why did humanity blame Shadow for the incident instead of joining forces with him to save the world through the emeralds?
•How can things like computers and machines still being intact and functional after 200 years or even more, while being subjected to an apocalyptic weather, on the heart of Iblis’ destruction? For example, the computer that Shadow and Rouge used to see where and when they are. How didn’t it deteriorate over this fucking long time? Even worse is Omega’s situation, like, this guy here managed to find a very convenient and lucky spot in the center of where Iblis lives, where he wasn’t affected at all by the situation he was in, being exposed to the outside, of an apocalyptical world, where for a miracle: The ground he was in not collapsing to the lava beneath him; not having any of his metal and/or internal parts deteriorating while being in stand-by mode; not being attacked all this time by a single Iblis’ minion; still working fine after all this time (was he using the chaos emerald as the backup source?), without any regular maintenance procedure. With the only consequence of all of these things being… just staying dusty. That’s certainly not a fucking absurd and stupid series of contrivances and lucky scenario and odds, right?
Wait, if all of this time he was with a chaos emerald inside him, how did not Rouge detect that there was another emerald inside Omega while collecting the emeralds in the future? Actually, this is the same emerald that she just have collected a time earlier, so why didn’t her radar pick up the same chaos energy inside of him? Holy crap. This doesn’t make any sense.
This game is so stupid, oh my god.
I mean 06's plot is pretty fucking stupid in general.

are yaoguai similar to djinn? also are they the same as the yokai/oni?
Okay so as per usual I do have to give my disclaimer that I am pretty ignorant when it comes to work mythology, but from what I do know it seems that yaoguai (of China), djinn (of Arabia), and yokai/oni (of Japan) ARE similar in that they are all supernatural entities who while often malevolent towards humans can be benevolent as well (unlike the Western concept of demon, who are always [at least traditionally] hostile). There also seems to be a huge variety among the shapes they take and places they dwell in, so that seems to be another point of commonality. That said, each group of supernatural creatures are quite unique in both behavior and geographic local to the point where I'd say that while they have their similarities you DEFINITELY can't call them the same.
Here's how the Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures by John & Caitlín Matthews defines the djinn:
"These are the primary species of demons in Arabic tradition and are widely known throughout most of the Islamic world, especially in the Sahara and parts of the northern and eastern Mediterraniea. There are many variations to their names including Dgen, Dschin, Genie, Ginn, Jann, Jinn and Junun. There are actually several classes of Djinn, including the powerful Marid, the Afreet, the Shaytans and the Jann. Not all are evil and some can be quite helpful--like the Genie of the Lamp in the story of Aladdin. However, the majority are very ugly and savage in nature. They can take numerous shapes and have been known to appear as human beings, monsters, cats, ostriches, dogs and snakes. When they do take human form, it is often that of a beautiful woman, who may only be detected by the fact that the pupils of her eyes have vertical slits. One young Djinn, named Azazel, was taken prisoner and brought up among the angels. In time, he became their leader and took the name Iblis. When Adam was created, God commanded the angels to worship him; the only one who refused to do so was Iblis, and for this disobedience he was turned into a devil and became the leader of a race of Djinn called Shaytan, from which the Western name for the devil, Satan, derives.
Djinn mate and produce families like human beings, and when they are thus domesticated they live in a far-off country called Jennistan, the capital of which is the City of Jewels. But the Djinn seem to be seldom in this place, as they are found mostly in wells, rivers, ruined places and, sometimes, in market places. Earth Djinns dwell in drains, toilets, cemeteries and dark damp ruins. Water Djinns inhabit any water source, be it river, fountain or well. They are deemed particularly malevolent and like nothing more than to entice humans into the water so that they can drown them. Tree Djinns inhabit the trees and are the most benign of the species, with the exception of the Djinn that inhabits the fig tree, who causes humans to quarrel with each other if they chance to rest beneath the shade of its branches. Stories are told of humans and Djinn marrying but while a human man may marry a female Djinn, a human female may not marry a male Djinn. The offspring of such marriages will appear human but have the magical abilities of the Djinn, including the power of flight, the ability to walk through walls, and extreme longevity. In general, Djinn are very hard to kill and are extremely long-lived, but men have found ways to kill them, and in their own wars the Djinn can destroy each other. It is also said that comets flung from heaven will kill them."
Yaoguai, for their own part, are mostly malevolent animal spirits (such as the Demon Bull King, the King of Spiritual Touch [Guanyin's goldfish], and arguably Sun Wukong in his time as the Quitian Dasheng) or fallen celestials (such as Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing) who acquired magical powers through Taoism. While they are often mischievous and/or horrifically violent towards humans, their overarching goal is to gain immortality and this become deities. They also have a wide variety of origins, from being the Earthly reincarnations of former celestial figures to originating from humans remains (a was the case with the White Bone Spirit). They do seem to have a preference for mountainous caves and lonely places, but can be found everywhere, with some even pretending to be human rulers. It is apparently possible for humans and yaoguai to have children, but these kids look like and seem to have the same power as any other mortal. In any case, there does seem to be a fair amount of fluidity between humans, yaoguai, and deities, with the cycle of reincarnation and possibilities of transformation meaning that one could definitely go from a high spot in the celestial realm to a very lowly position as a human or yaoguai on Earth, and vice versa.
Finally, the Japanese term "yokai" is apparently a derived from the Chinese "yaoguai" and does refer to similar kinds of creatures. The "true" Japanese equivalent is the term "mononoke," with that being an umbrella term of "evil spirits." "Yokai" however seems to be even more of a catch-all word, as it refers to monsters, spirits, as well as strange and inexplicable phenomena. More recent years have seen it particularly used for tangible and Japan-specific creatures though, such as the kappa, tengu, and kitsune. While they can been viciously harmful towards humans, yokai have also demonstrated a kinder side and helped humans out of various troubles, with some even falling in love and marrying humans. As with the yaoguai, there also does seem to be quite a bit of porousness between humans, yokai, and deities, with it being very much possible for one to turn into the other. That said, there are plenty of notorious yokai; the oni (ogre) Shuten doji, the tengu Emperor Sutoku, and the kitsune Tamamo-No-Mae (whose stone body/stone prison split early this year!) are even known as Three Great Evil Yokai because of the violence and chaos they caused.
This is just a very brief summary of but a few of the similarities and differences between these three types of supernatural entities, but I hope you find it a good starting point to understanding these interesting supernatural beings, anon!

Since that was just a parody and random concept drawn for the sake of drawing rouxls as a big powerful being, all I used was “big being that can be summoned” and [ left out ] the rest of in-game lore (what I mean to say, is that RK is family-friendly. No r18 stuff in mind)

I didnt think much when i drew, so i believe my design is far from authentic or realistic. I just saw Omne in the game and I thought she reminded me of RK with her wink.
To be fair, Bla ck Hat being Mada ma Butterfly doesnt fit the lore either, I just drew them bc I thought itd look cool.

Ignoring Jehtt's parody for a sec
-It was 200 years of Iblis. I legit don't think there's a profit to scamming people into thinking they can save the future. 2-3 gens directly tied to the Great Disaster already are dead, and GUN seems gone too
-We already beat Iblis only to see him reincarnate again. We can already infer Silver beat him many times with no difference. In fact, he legit considers giving up in frustration
-Mephiles wouldn't even be the first suspect. Blaze's fire powers scared survivors, but Silver stood by her (sadly this is in bios)
-The intro CG cutscene notes the generational divorce from the event. No one knew where Iblis came from cuz it's been so long, only that it ravaged the planet for eons. Silver is noted to question the origin, getting nothing
So yeah, I'll take hearing this shifty stranger's new theory, cuz repeatedly killing Iblis 3 million times is doing nothing but exhaust me, regardless if I die to this stranger or not. It's not like I can make this worse (in my context)
Other things;
-Silver's reaction to Meph saying to time travel:
Not "oh yeah I immediately believe you" like 90% of parodies, it's him gauging interest after dismissing the first prompt
Even to Meph saying "Oh yeah, I can time travel" it's more dismissal (though tinged with amazement)
when Meph notes the Iblis Trigger the first time, both Blaze and him just ponder a sec before hesitating to ask if killing him would save the world, their first true mistake. But again, better than just mindlessly killing Iblis over and over
Then Meph bothers bringing articles on screen showing the Egg Carrier's crash and release of Iblis, then the Emerald showing Sonic's visage in the fire (glares slightly more angry), Blaze being perturbed cuz she knows of one, and Meph immediately time traveling them before much of anything can be said in protest
If it were me, I'd have them question how he found this info, with him revealing that he stumbled upon a Chaos Emerald that showed him the image of a blue hedgehog (which he'll show to Silver like OG, only with Sonic expressing better than wood), leading him to do research on him, and finding the article of Elise dying in a crash despite his chase. He'll then note research of time travel done in GUN logs of when they checked Eggman's base after the crash, noting the process being risky. Silver and Blaze can ask why he can't do it, which...I mean look at him, he's deformed and barely hobbling (interestingly nowhere as much as the Shadow release scene, or later twirl), likely frail as heck (we know he isn't if we the audience played Shadow's story first). He'll attract unwanted attention outside supposed fraility, vs how the powerful Blaze/Silver look a smidge more stable. They'll admit having nothing to lose/repetition, then Meph warps them
But otherwise, I feel the Silver bias is glossing events a wee bit too much, and parodies aren't helping. It's legit wanting to break useless repetition that drives most of Silver's hasty actions
"But he looks evil"
The entire world is homeless. Being remotely not brazen is an anomaly if anything (Blaze at least has an excuse)
Also what's he gonna do, jump the guy that has psychokinesis? He looks weak as hell
I still think that Silver shouldn't have jumped to follow Mephiles so easily when the latter spouted out shit about 'Chickens and eggs', especially since it seems he and Blaze just willingly follow Mephilies into his crack den of info he shouldn't have. I'm sorry, but I feel Silver just hopped on a little too quickly. If there was a scene of him and Blaze arguing with each other about going to follow, I'd buy it a lot more than it is now. However, since the cutscenes skip that moment and have Silver and Blaze immediately follow Mephiles to his crack den without thinking, it still comes across to me as Silver and Blaze being stupid, not naive.
I appreciate you trying to help clear out some aspects of this, but without the key moment of Silver and Blaze arguing about going to listen to Mephiles or not, it comes across as an idiot kid being taken by a guy with a white van to me, especially since the only time Silver stops to consider his decision is when Amy tells him to not kill Sonic and dashes off. After that, he doesn't ever really question if he's doing the right thing, and just blindly trusts the guy that showed him a vision of Sonic in fire with a really pissed off look, and not much other information besides anecdotal evidence.

Shattered Meister ~ Origins of the Ink Demon : Episode Maka Extra 1 "

Egg Pawn A : Orders from the Hang Castle Security Force executive officer. Over an hour ago, Lord Grim has information that we had remains that are the leftovers from the year of Shadow himself. Shadow has caught the attention of his father and Black Arms leader Black Doom, who has been jailed for a quite sometime since he started the invasion, Adeleine's creation Drawcia, who was presumed to be defeated after her loss to Kirby and co has now resurrected into a human started a science corporation of her own, a mad man known as Eggman Negative who came from Blaze's world isn't a clone, but somehow a descendant that came from 200 years in the future.
Egg Pawn B : More importanlty, 2006 is going to be the worst year for Sonic the Hedgehog, but luckily, Sonic's worst year maybe an ordeal for him, Sonic and a princess named Elise were ordered by Homura Akemi, a girl who time traveled from the 2010s, told them that the flame of Hope, Solaris, would eventually cause indefinite time loop break, Causing Sonic 06's plot to be restarted.
Egg Pawn A : Correct. But apparently, Solaris, the so-called god of the sun, is not the threat to Real World AU, but an entity named Dark Nebula, pseudo ruler of the underworld is looking for a body that will make him and the strongest. And evil isn't nice. That's why we decided to prefer "evil" people to be called "Heartless", those creatures that are from the heart of a person. Seto : Heartless? Hey, yeah! I remember those guys! They're the ones who attacked this castle and rumor has it, they've been under the influence of Demon Vibe that were getting it's attention on the destroying the Kusakabe Legacy! That bastard Darkside Death had his tricks up his sleeves again. Oh yeah, heartless don't have sleeves.
Maka Albarn : Than...that means, have been in a sleeping curse for three years? All of this was a lie wasn't? If there was never a God that I defeat, then I realize I've been stubborn fool when I hero of the story! Where's Black Star, Death the Kid.
Silver : What? Who's Black Star and Death the Kid. We don't know any of those guys.
Maka Albarn : You don't remember them? Did I even think that we were and two boys and a girl trio? Soul Eater revolves around a story of three! We were two guys and a Girl trio that is us! Why can't I remember anything! How long have been in Soul Eater's story!
Seto : Because, Maka. To tell from the eyes of truth, there is no world of Soul Eater! There is no Kishin, and there is no such thing as Madness! Don't you get Maka, you were living in a fantasy all this time, it's only a dream inside your head. The author that made Soul World only wanted to impress Japan by making money! And you were just a civilian born on an alien sanctuary on the planet Jupiter, for years and you've been into a sudden fruition!
Maka Albarn : A fruition, so have I been living in a fantasy the entire time and nobody would notice the truth? If I existed in the Real World, then where is everyone from Soul World before?
Seto : All of them existed here in the Real World, the name Soul Eater was just a play on words from Sega, like One Piece and Bleach. All manga and anime titles have a play on words. [referring to somebody] Jackasses. And I found two expulsion letters from that were in top-secret files. These are the ones that had a nasty attitude have discovering their whereabouts of the world of Soul Eater and Shinra Kusakabe himself.
Maka Albarn : These are Black Star and Death the Kid's expulsion letters.
Seto : And I also have this note. (reads note with glasses) "I now realize that we being a two guys and a girl trio is like the most overpowered in the Japanese mangaka/Anime industry. What a joke to Maka Albarn thinking that we're Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura of Soul Eater"! My god, I now realize that Soul Eater isn't a story of one, it's a story of three! Seto : What? Nevada, you say? That's where the remaining half of the Ohkuboverse is! Nevada's being in peril with that so-called manga! Why is Nevada being a major setting for a world of a Japanese manga?
Maka Albarn : I'll tell you why Nevada's in peril...it's because of the Ohkuboverse that we're living in.

Return to Japan and the pure heart scouts
It had been a long time since I was last in Japan but I got a new house there using my freelancer money which had a hot tub, high tech gamer pc so I could play fortnite, a switch and tons of cool anime figures too, I even made some extra side money doing boxing even defeating that weakling L Paul in a match who went down in one hit.
I was out doing some shopping in Akiba because I wanted the new manga when I saw some monsters attacking and these cute magical girls where fighting it to protect innocent lives.
“This ones too powerful Pink Heart!” Said the magical girl in the yellow fuku.
Thats when I showed up cutting the monster in half with my gunblade and finishing it off with a burst round from my devil arms “That is amazing power you have! Thank you for helping us back there, my name is Yellow Heart and we are the Pure heart scouts.”
“My name is Xenos Edgeblade but some call me Katana of justice I guess but that's a mouthful so just Xenos will do.”
War against the Black Venus kingdom
The Pure hearts told me they reincarnated from Princesses thousands of years ago who where killed by the evil Black Venus Kingdom who wanted to revive empress Iblis a force of pure evil that would corrupt the universe and they had awoken to justice as magical girls to fight queen Blackheart.
I knew I couldn't let them win so I decided to team up with the Pure hearts to fight against the Black Venus kingdom.
Suddenly there was explosion in the streets of Tokyo and I could not believe what I saw but it was the author of the shitty wizard book series Harvey Porter “I have sold my soul to the Black Venus Kingdom for power and now I shall exterminate those who do not conform to purity!” She laughed setting fire to store fronts.
I was on the scene with Pink Heart and Blue heart as we fought back “I DEMAND PROOF YOU ARE REAL GIRLS OR ELSE!” She demanded throwing more fire.
“Shut the fuck up who are you to decide who is real or not also your books fucking suck and anime is way better!” I said and charged the power of the grand sages through Odin and Zenkata as I blasted her into dust.
Pink Heart was scared of how powerful I had became but was glad I was on the side of justice “Good work but shes not the only one, many evil people sell their souls to the black kingdom for power.” She sighed.
I laughed “Yeah maybe that one did it in hopes they'd make her a decent writer.”
This was just a week enemy, a monster of the week you could even say so we had take on the real fight the four dark generals of the black venus kingdom.
Taking the fight to Venus castle
I had enough waiting around so I geared up and went to NASA “I NEED A SPACE SHUTTLE RIGHT NOW TO GO TO VENUS IN ORDER TO STOP QUEEN BLACKHEART FROM SUMMONING EMPRESS IBLIS!” I screamed at the command centre people who where nervous around me.
Pink Heart and the girls had come in “Please you must help us before its too late.” and they nodded because The Pure Hearts where beloved heroes and NASA where happy to help us.
We got armoured space suits and they took us to the shuttle and we blasted off into space.
It was a long flight but thankfully we had a TV with some anime box-sets so I watched some my hero academy to kill some time until we got there.
A storm of silver light hit the shuttle as we approached Venus and armies of flying monsters from the abyss of chaos itself “Looks like we can only head half way, just the way I like it! Storming the front gates!” I smiled and jumped out of the rocket like a falling ball of fire slicing my way through the hoard.
I put my MP3 player on playing the epic fight music from the Casshern movie as I covered my body in Lunar flames tearing through armies of chaos monsters.
Slamming into the surface of Venus the first Black Venus Kingdom general Elegentis was waiting for me sniffing a rose “Oh so you are the ruffin that dares to lay a hand on our great queen, I shall send you to eternal slumber like I once did the Pure Hearts original selves.” He fired an exploding rose then drew out a crystal rapier covered in magic.
We clashed swords in an epic duel but I was too fast as I powered up into Super Demihuman level three as my hair turned golden and longer and destroyed him with a beam attack.
I went into the crystal city which was once the seat of power for the Pure Hearts before corrupted by queen Blackheart and the corrupt Empress Iblis now it was a shiny city ruled by death knights and cultists.
It was pretty easy for me to fuck them up in super form three as I tore them to pieces with my Sutakatta gunblade then finished the rest off with a rain of double pistol bullets.
The next general had long red hair and he was called Ballkana “You will not get near the queen, the awakening of the dark devil is near.” and I was tired of his shit so I charged up an delta bomb and threw it him and he went down in one hit.
“You look like you could use help, lets use Pure Heart prismatic power!” Said Green Heart as a rainbow of light covered the monster army taking thousands of them down.
The last two generals showed, lady Shadowdance and Lord Yuno who drew weapons on us but with the combined power of level super three and the Pure Hearts we made quick work of them leaving the queen as the only threat left.
The rival of empress Iblis and my greatest battle yet
I entered the celestial castle where Queen Blackheart waited for me wearing long purple robes, high heels and a black magical staff “It is too late I have already drained the life energy from everyone on Earth to revive Empress Iblis.” She laughed and used her demonic magic to blast the Pure Hearts who screamed in pain.
“LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE YOU BASTARD!” I told her but she laughed and used her evil magic to weaken me.
She started to drain energy from Pink Heart and the others “Xenos, if you can destroy the Iblis core you can return the life energy to the people of Earth, take our energy and stop her!” Pink Heart begged me as the girls sent me their energy.
I got up and swung the Sutakatta gunblade at Queen Blackheart but she blocked it with the abyssal blade and did the unthinkable
SHE SHATTERED THE SUTAKATTA GUNBLADE AND I WAS HORRIFIED!
Queen Blackheart used a hellfire impact knocking me down but I got up filled with the power of determination and entered my Lunar super form launching six thousand mudas at her
But each hit didn't even move her as I punched faster and faster and she just stood there taking each blow as sparks flew off each hit.
“HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU ABLE TO NO SELL MY FUCKING ATTACKS YOU PIECE OF SHIT!?!?!?!”
She laughed smugly with that fucking cat grin as she removed her crown SHE HAD CAT EARS JUST LIKE ME SHE WAS A DEMI HUMAN BUT REALLY POWERFUL!!!!
“My real name is Genos Blackheart EDGEBLADE! Your sister!” she laughed smugly mocking me which got under my skin but how could my sister be alive?
Pink Heart tried to stand “But you destroyed our kingdom and corrupted Venus thousands of years ago how could you do that if you where Xenos sister?” She asked.
“After the farmers destroyed our family I survived and after meeting a strange man in a box we went on adventures across time and space but I grew hungry for power betraying him. After that the lonely god of time abandoned me in the distant past but I escaped my exile when those foolish princesses took me in, training me then I betrayed them to empress Iblis.” She told Pink Heart explaining everything.
“That makes sense” I noted.
I drew my duel katanas and clashed with her “Sister or not I can't let you revive that god damn horror devil!” I told her determinated to win this fight.
The feelings of all the people I loved, the pure hearts, my friends with the Yakuza, Cinos and the freedom fighters flowed into me as I finally managed TO NO SELL HER ATTACKS AND LAND A STRONG BLOW AGAINST HER.
With all the energy I went past my Lunar superform and even super demihuman level III as prismatic energy covered me like a glowing rainbow and I felt absolute instinct mode kick in with my hair turning a glowing rainbow flash.
THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE POWER PRISMATIC SUPER FORM AND GENOS WAS SCARED NOW “How could you surpass me? I have the power of evil, of empress Iblis within me!”
I scoffed at how little she knew “Darkness is a chain it will only drag you down sister, that's why you could never truly defeat me.” and I dashed forward landing thousands of sonic punches into her breaking bones and doing massive damage.
Genos started to having a mental breakdown which I found funny as she shattered her staff and started punching the floor “FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU! I HATE YOU BROTHER I HATE YOU GO EAT SHIT AND DIE IN A BASTARD FIRE!” She fired a death beam at the Iblis egg freeing the darkness as she vanished.
Vs the concept of death and damnation itself
Reality broke apart as space turned into blood and screaming and horrific skull faced eldritch horror form of Empress Iblis was floating in the field of red starts singing the death signal itself across every world at once “All shall return to nothing and all souls shall return to pain everlasting this is the purpose of life and its demise” The being spoke as I drifted in the red space.
I flew into it sparkling like a rainbow firing phantom punches of prismatic light but it wasn't doing enough damage to do much “LIFE DESERVES A CHANCE TO BE ALIVE!” I spoke the hopes and dreams of the universe.
The song I'm here played as the hopes and dreams of all beings flowed into me as I started to twitch and going crazy with the most intense energy ever as leylines of multiple colours appeared over my skin and my belted trench coat turned into a glorious golden silver and rainbow wings formed with runic symbols
THIS WAS HOLY PRIMISTIC SUPER DEMI HUMAN MODE and I felt like I could take on the concept of death itself and prove the worth of all beings.
I started firing holy Omega Gendokus at it cracking the surface of the planet shaped skull then landing on it to fire a million earthquake sized punches, I bet that gave the fucker a nasty headache.
The music got more epic motivating me to keep fighting harder as I pulled more power into me forming a blade of pure crystal prismatic light and cutting the red space in half as holy spears smashed into the red skulls surface cracking it.
“You can not stop nihilism and despair don't try it!” Iblis warned me but I didn't listen, fuck that guy so much.
I went beyond into HYPER DEMI HUMAN PRIMISTIC CHAOS ANGEL forming the blade with temporal time space axis power “FOR EVERY LIVING SOUL IN CREATION I SHALL SEND YOU TO DUST!” I shouted.
I charged the blade with the raw power of time itself then I slashed into Empress Iblis as it fell into a loot of destructive time “TRY THIS ONE LOSER!” And I punched the abomination a million time then used a destructive prismatic punch firing empress Iblis into the sun as it burned to death.
But I was not finished as I looped BEYOND THE TIME causing empress Iblis to get punched into the sun over and over and over burning infinite times.
I did a cool pose absorbing the sword and finishing the demonic bastard off with a haylon beam as it broke apart crumbling into dust killing Empress Iblis forever.
The fight against WORLD ORDER PMC
It has been a few months since I returned to Earth and I got a cool new job with Vermont Island PMC who where trying to stop terrorists and cure a disease called pathos syndrome. They headhunted me after hearing about how I epicly killed an outer god.
I got a cool silver trench coat with tons of belts to store weapons and gear along with a High Nanocarbon cyber katana and red sunglasses equipped with cyberwear allowing me to scan the situation on any mission.
I was on a mission one day with a convoy in the middle east when a rocket hit our car knocking us over but I jumped out in time doing a sick summer salt and unsheathing my katana “So someone wanted to mess around, if you know the legends that's a bad idea.” I laughed.
A big fat man with a cyber axe and a minigun arm came out of the smoke “Yeehaw my name is Warmonger and I'm here to bring back the 9/11 age when AMERICA was great and strong and we'll fuck this place up get some oil and create more war and killing yeehaw.” He laughed firing the minigun but I used my ninja moves to slow motion out of the bullets way because of time powers.
He swung his cyberaxe but my katana was able to block it “Your cyberwear is no good we have the most top of the line stuff and lots of money.” Warmonger laughed at me.
I powered up into prismatic super demihuman but he fled before I could hunt him down because he knew he would die in a face to face fight with me.
My radio went off and it was our mission controller Yuki Miyazaki “We did some intel checking they where with World order PMC a military company with ties to powerful republican party senators and the family foundation a deep pocket right wing think tank.” She told me.
But what puzzled me was why they wanted war and killing I had to find out and get answers.
I got in our helicopter returning to base when my best friend told me more data. He had a trenchcoat like mine but it was red with a lot of belts to store his weapons plus he had green sunglasses and black fur “Kazu you got the low down for me?” I asked him.
Kazu the hedgehog nodded “Yeah World Order PMC is making big moves, they want war all over the world but it seems they are being bankrolled not just by the family foundation but also the Russian federation.”
I grabbed an a cybernetic armour killer Katana, two Heckler & Koch VP9 handguns, a FAMAS, a grenade launcher, and two SCARs which had the ultra rare gold edgestrike paint job which is the rarest one ever made.
We went to New york where the HQ of World Order PMC was walking into the lobby with trench coats “Please step into the scanner” said the cyborg cops and I opened my coat showing off all my cool weapons before punching him so hard his lower ribcage shattered.
I turned out my MP3 player that had Du Hast playing as I opened fire on the cyborg security forces in the lobby even using my power to slow down time as my bullets made cool patterns in mid air. I then spun kick one guy so hard he went flying into a pillar which broke the pillar.
Kazu the hedgehog ran along the wall spraying four cyber swat guys with SCAR bullets.
Slowing time down I dropped from above and with a well timed hand movement twisted a guys neck as it snapped
Running along the wall I dropped my machine guns and took the two VP9s from my coat opening fire on some armored swat guys, getting head shots on each one, my aim was just that good.
The lobby was covered in smoke as cyber cops and swat guys lay on the ground. We went into the lift and headed to the top floor to confront who was behind this.
Suddenly the elevator doors opened and we where in some kind of lab filled with machines and computers.
“What is this fucking place Kazu? Its creeping me the hell out.” I shouted looking around for answers but then a robotic looking lizard men came in and I knew him because I saw his face on television countless times.
“MARK ROBOBERG?!” I gasped completely stunned it was the head of Fakebook the social media company.
He whirled roboticly “This is the AI lab, I made a deal with WORLD ORDER PMC to create what is called an AI content farm. With this we can create fake news and propoganda on a global level to make people think whatever brain dead ideals we seed in their pathetic human minds.” He said in the most robotic voice ever.
I clenched my fist “NOBODYS DUMB ENOUGH TO FALL FOR ALL THAT FAKE NEWS THEY'LL SEE ITS ALL FAKES CREATED BY SOME MORONIC FUCKING AI PROGRAM!” I pointed.
“The human disease is weak minded, we can create AI art and TV to fill their bellies with slop and waste which will save us billions of dollars. Not to mention with the AI system we can engineer even who can become president and what agenda they shall obey.” Mark Roboberg laughed but it was a laugh devoid of humanity, a cold laugh, an evil laugh.
I drew the katanas and took his head off then fired a haylon beam destroying him completely “You can not kill me I am inside the system now.” His voice was over the intercom.
“But if I blow up the AI lab, then you'll die.” I smirked.
The voice became sad, the first time he had even a hint of dull emotion “Oh I did not think of that one.” He sighed and I powered up into Super Lunar Demihuman blasting an omega bomb burning the entire AI system down taking Mark Roboberg out for good.
“Roboberg is just a minion, we need to find out where the dark money is coming from to fund all this.” Kazu the Hedgehog said and I agreed since we had to find out where the dark money was coming from to fund all this.

We went to the next floor where Warmonger was wearing for us “You came here but you'll be too late to stop the revival of the 9/11 dream my friend yeehaw, soon we'll have a new age of war and anti terrorism like the good old days of the 2000s yeeehaw.” He laughed throwing his armoured trench coat away showing he was augmented into a giant killing robot.
“AND WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO TRY AND STOP US!” Warmonger said as he smashed is giant fist into the floor knocking us all down
Warmonger turned his arms into rocket launchers firing 100s of missiles at me and Kazu which we dodged as I flash kicked him right in the face cracking it.
He then armed his mini guns firing thousands of rounds and lasers and grenades and bombs “This guys not giving up, lets use the cross slash limit breaker Kazu!” AND WE DID!
We crossed out blades glowing with prismatic magical power charging forward in an X formation as we sliced him in half. The cut was so clean it cut his power reactor in half as he exploded into pieces.
“One more floor, lets confront the CEO of World order PMC.” Kazu said and we went up to the penthouse level.
The list topped and we exited in a gold room with water foundations, statues and windows overlooking the entire city at night.
That's when the big boss sitting on a throne smoking a cigar came to greet us “I watched you on the CCTV, it was most amusing. Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Bron DeSanta republician politician, future president and CEO of World order.” He was licking pudding from his fingers “Rero rero rero yummy.” He had a twisted face.
I took out my golden caster pistols aiming them at the fat fucks face “This ends now, you're not going to get your new 9/11 asshole!” I warned him and I was DEADLY SERIOUSLY!
DeSanta snapped his fingers as robo soldiers came in and we fought them off but more kept coming “You can die here for my entertainment like the rest of the non normal people who will be purged when I take over with the help of the family foundation, Russia and the Robo empire.” the bastard laughed smoking his cigar and drinking whiskey
Kazu opened fire blowing apart a bunch of robo soldiers while I sliced even more up with my katanas “I have more frags than you, you gotta move faster Kazu.” I chuckled as we made a game of it.
After bagging the last robo soldier the fat republician got up throwing his cigar away and laughing as he turned into fire melting his fake skin AND HE WAS A BUFF ANDROID ROBOT SUPER SOLDIER “Hahaha, its true I am a secret sleeper agent for the Robo empire and our plan was the weaken your pathetic human institutions to prep for our invasion.” and he turned his arm into a machine rifle opening fire as he heelied around the room.
The robo general grabbed Kazu punching him with his electro fists and sending a million volts into him before body slamming him into the statues “OOOF FUCK!” Kazu shouted.
I got in the way and unloaded 10000 shots into the robo general who tried to helicopter spin kick me over and over.
No choice left I WENT INTO CYBERNETIC SUPER MODE as the kandatsu runes circled me allowing me to unlock BLADE DANCE MODE and I slowed down time and started to slash the robo general 100s of times cutting through him as bits of him and limbs went over the room each one exploding.
All that was left was his head as I aimed my guns in the air in slow motion “JACK POT BABY!” I said unleashing over a 100 bullets as his head and CPU exploded into bits leaving nothing of him.
With the robot Bron DeSanta destoryed the signal to summon the Robo empire was shut down but I knew their invasion force was still out there in the dark space waiting AND I WOULD BE READY FOR THEM!
After that me and Kazu sent the World order PMC buildings reactor core up blowing the building up, it did some damage to the near by area but the police had evacuated people anyway so nobody got hurt at least.
Working for the CIA again and the defence of potato town
I left my PMC job because I wanted a break but before I could I was grabbed by some black ops guys into a helicopter and it was the director of the CIA “Welcome back Xenos Edgeblade, we need you to do some jobs for us.”
“I LEFT THE CIA BEHIND WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I WILL HELP YOU AGAIN?!?!” I shouted at him.
The director chuckled “We can clean your record after that incident in Japan.” And he got me there as I remembered what I did to Nyan-Chan which made me feel bad because I went a little too far back then.
“You see I need you to join a crack team with our agent Banana split to defend Potato town which is under attack from the Pineapple computer company which wants to knock it down to build a new gigafactory which would displace thousands of people and its not in our interests you could say.”
I read the files about the colourful town and how gangs of mercs had been fighting over it for a while in the battle royale wars which was alright with me since I enjoyed a good battle “Alright I'm in but you better honour our deal.” I warned him.
I met the crew such as Banana Split who was half banana, Joe Sunshades and Agent H who where all pretty awesome people and we rode on the battle truck which was a truck but it had hang gliders on it so we could fly it over Potato town.
We jumped off the battle truck and opened fire on the Pineapple company mercenaries who had constructed a fort there but I got a rocket launcher and demolished it as they where on fire screaming and I laughed “Suck it down!” I taunted them.
It was an easy fight as I managed to take down over four enemy forts but what I was surprised with was the enemy had somehow recruited THE BOOGEYMAN KILLER to aid them as he swung his butcher knife at me looking into my soul that that fucking evil mask with black holes instead of eyes “Silent type eh?” I spat.
I drop kicked him then shot and stabbed him but he kept getting back up because he was a supernatural killer.
But then I WENT PRISMATIC SUPER MODE AND USED THE SENDOKEN HAY KO ATTACK AND VAPORIZED HIM! He wouldn't be coming back to life from that one.
With their top fighter gone me and Banana Split along with Agent H made quick work of the final fort as we made our way to the Pineapple CEOs base.
Inside the base I gunned down his elite mercs and kicked down the doors to the control room as the Pineapple CEO sat their in his smug business suit “Xenos Edgeblade betray your friends to me and I shall pay you double if you help my company own everything we can own”
“Fuck the shut up I will never work for a scumbag CEO like you!” I told him as I shot him in the face and he WAS DEAD!
That night we had a huge party playing arcade games and drinking cola and it was a good time.
Fighting the Soulless
After completing my deal the CIA director let me go and cleared all the charges against me as I went back to having a normal life.
That's when some black creatures attacked me like shadow beings and I slashed them but it did no good “What the fuck why won't you die?!” I fired beams at them but it also did nothing but thats when a young kid with brown hair showed up with Lightsword cutting them down.
“You're lucky I came here, those where the soulless, evil creatures that where once people but their souls where taken away turning their bodies into evil shadow creatures that spread across the worlds turning them into dark cores.”
I thanked the kid for saving me “What's your name and how did your weapon hurt them while mines didn't?” I asked him.
“I'm Sona, I fight the Soulless with the Lightblade which is given to chosen knights of Heart to protect the worlds from the rising tide of darkness.” He explained and it made sense to me and I wanted to help him fight these dark creatures.
“Ok I believe you.” I said and offered to join his fight.
We went through a portal to the world of Fae which was under attack by an army of Soulless and I went into my Holy Knight super form and summoned my Lightblade the ragnarok which was a sword of red light with a spiked handle and I cut through an army of thousands of which and Sona was shocked “You where chosen to weld a light blade too? This must be destiny, you are the chosen knight of heart.” He said.
Me and Sona fought back to back as we cleared the Soulless out saving the Fae world “Thank you for saving us you will be legendary heroes within our stories.” Said the queen of the Fae who gifted us with powerful diamonds.
“Take these two chaos diamonds, may they protect you in the battles to come.” She smiled.
Storming Castle despair
I fought many battles against the Soulless over the next few months and after killing all the boss types we learned they where coming from the world of castle Despair where their leader must be hiding out. I figured if I killed the asshole I could put an end to the invasion of Soulless and restore light to existence.
We took a lightship breaching the nexus wall as we arrived in the sky above castle despair which was infested with armoured Soulless. I jumped out turning into a rainbow fire ball “DEATH FROM ABOVE SHITHEADS!” I shouted slamming the ground which set tons of them flying and I made quick work of them with the ragnarok lightblade.
After that me and Sona stormed the gates entering the castle where too fat boss enemies where waiting for me but I went into Holy Super mode and cleved them with the powered Lightblade.
“Lets go upstairs, the boss must be in the gateroom from back when this was the world of Lightneia a place belonging to the knights of old.” Sona said and we charged upwards clearing out each floor before we arrived at the gate room which was infested with darkness corruption.
Finally we arrived in the portal room after slaughtering tens of thousands of the soulless and thats when a man with long white hair, a massive katana and a black and silver outfit was waiting for us “This is Antuo the seeker of souls, he is the one who unleashed the flood of the soulless.” Sona said and armed his lightblade and I armed mine too.
“He'll be soulless when I'm done with him.” I smiled reassuring Sona I had the situation well in hand.
An aura of darkness covered Antuo “I am Antuo seeker of darkness, I wanted knowledge of the ones with no souls so I sacrificed this world to them to get it and know I am close to becoming the god of all Soulless, you will join the tide of darkness soon enough.” And he summoned the black lightblade DESPAIR which was too powerful.
But I felt the light and summoned my new ultimate lightblade HOPEBRINGER and he was real scared then “HOW COULD HOPEBRINGER CHOOSE YOU ITS IMPOSSIBLE NOTHING CAN STOP THE DARKNESS!” and he attacked but HOPEBRINGER blocked DESPAIRs attack and we crossed blades having an epic fight across the castle ruins.
“BECAUSE THE COSMOS IS LIGHT AND I AM ITS CHOOSEN GUARDIAN THATS WHY YOU CAN NEVER WIN BECAUSE YOU HATE THE POTENTAL THE SOUL HAS!” And I cut him in half after I entered my light bringer form and he was consumed by the portals light.
Finally the soulless where destoryed but before me and Sona could celebrate the portal exploded pulling me in.
The world of the rose and becoming a student of plant
I woke up on the road dodging a high tech looking car but when I saw the sky I realized this wasn't castle Despair or even Earth I WAS ON A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WORLD!
A green haired lady with a whip looked down on me “You are hurt? Why are you sleeping on the road?” She asked and I got up.
“I wasn't sleeping I was fighting the soulless when a portal blew up and sent me here!” I told her everything and she believed me.
She nodded “I am Rika a teacher at Oasis a series of schools which train mercenaries to go missions all across the world, you seem like you have potential, if you want you could enlist to become a student, we call students of Oasis PLANTS” She told me and it seemed cool so I agreed signing up to become an Oasis student.
Over the next month I learned this world was called Rose and a military empire called Galhardia was invading other countries to do something called imperialism and I didn't like that so I doubled down on my PLANT training to get even more stronger.
One morning I was in the OASIS training centre beating a punching bag but it was no normal punching bag since I was too powerful for that, no it was a punching bag filled with tungstenthe strongest metal on earth and I punched it 100s of times as the bag flew into the air exploding “I'll need another a bag and more tungsten, they can't handle my power level, haha.”
A fellow PLANT called Setsuna came in, he was my classmate and sparring buddy who wore a sick black coat with gold lines and had a cool golden katana “Yo Xenos, training eh?” He grinned and we did a badass handshake between two bros because we where tight.
After that we went to get launch together, it was chili dogs WHICH I LOVED but we fought over who would get the last batch because I was so hungry I could eat a house but we all laughed together about it then went out to town to play at the arcade that night.
THE BATTLE EXAM AND THE INVASION
At the end of the month we where brought to the main hall to be briefed on the battle exam a live combat situation where only the best of the best students would pass and become PLANT members! I was confident I was going to axe the exam because I had tons of experience and training that it would probably be too easy for me.
Headmaster Jack Tobin greeted all the students “As of 1400 hours the nation of Galhardia invaded the small country of Umber sending in shocktroopers, the mayor of Umber has hired OASIS to help push Galhardia forces out, good luck.” He said and we geared up going into battle.
We got on an airship flying over the ocean “Are you scared?” I laughed.
Setsuna just shrugged “Not a chance I'm pumped to finally see some real action instead of just monster hunting.” And we looked down seeing bombs going off and soldiers fighting as we parachuted out of the airship landing on the beach as we opened fire with guns and swords “SUCK IT DOWN MOTHERFUCKERS!” I shouted unloading into an armoured trooper.
I then drew my Omega Crystal Gunblade which was forged with emerald mana crystals and nano metal making it the strongest gunblade I had forged yet “You don't want to die? Oh boo hoo, you got into combat so you made your bed SLEEP IN IT!” I smirked drawing my Ragnorak light blade as I duel welded the Omega Crystal and Ragnorak tearing through the front line troops as OASIS made their way into the city centre.
A cute girl student with a sniper rifle approached us “Hey Xenos I am from squad two we got sent to back you up what's the situation.” Leena asked us.
“We wiped out the forces on the beach and now we need to target the occupied military base in the forest.” I told her as we loaded up fighting through the red elite soldiers who had red uniforms and tougher more hi tech armour but my new gunblade cut through it like butter while Setsuna and Leena backed me up.
As we got to the forest we noticed the Galhardia forces where in mobile armours which where heavy power armour suits with mini gun and flamethrower arms “Looks like they're sending out the welcome wagon” I said and went into my Prismatic super form as I charged focused unleashing a slash of pure light as they exploded “GO GO GO THE WAY FORWARDS CLEAR!” I ordered as my squad charged forward.
We ran into some tanks and I shouted “MISEIKO!!” I shouted firing a ripple of powerful beams from the right hand blowing apart the legion of Galhardia tanks “SEND YOUR ARMIES THERE'S NO MAN OR MACHINE THAT CAN HOLD ME BACK!” I threatened them and the surviving soldiers peed their pants in fear because they knew they had no way to stop me.
Then I summoned Ki fire magic and burned the surviving soldiers to death as they screamed “No mercy for war mongers like you!” I said.
Reaching the end of the forest we saw the occupied military base with tons of Galhardia soldiers “What's the plan Xenos?” Asked Leena.
Setsuna was rubbing his chin “We could try sneak in, take them by surprise?”
But I grabbed my gunblade “Lets rock the house down, we out power them and they won't expect a direct frontal assault.” and I charged forward unleashing metor magic which blew the front line down.
Then I vaulted from the air cutting a commander unit down with my gunblade before I pulled out my guns and opened fire blowing even more men away.
After that Setuna and Leena joined the assault killing even more Galhardia soldiers clearing the way as I assaulted the base cutting town mobile armour soldiers and more.
We reached the main hanger where the enemy command was waiting in a giant mecha armed to the teeth “This is carbon Gear the ultimate weapon and with it I will crush PLANT and take this weak country for the empire.” He said arming the machine as he fired a barrage of heavy rockets down me on me as I slowed time and dodge rolled.
“Annoying pest, eat this!” He said firing heavy machine fire which I also dodged as I fired back with Hedoku blasts hitting the machine.
Setsuna backed me up as he fired a homing missile at the mechs communication system blinding it “Good work, let me take care of the rest.”
I jumped into the air slowing time down as I went into primatic super cyber demi human UNLEASHED mode and then entered Blade dance form as I started slashing the machine over a million times as pieces went flying and exploding everywhere.
The commander ejected as he tried to fight me in hand to hand combat but I punched his so hard his chest exploded and he was dead.
“Good work Xenos, we did it now lets get back to the airship” Leena smiled and kissed me which made me blush.
After liberating Umber we returned to OASIS to see what grades we got in the battle exam and thats when Headmaster Jack showed up “Good work Xenos Edgeblade, Setsuna and Leena you all got S ranks which means you are now PLANTs.” and we where happy we passed the battle exam.
That night we would go to the ball to celebrate our victory and think about the future.
The Enchantress takes over
I was at the ball and danced with Leena who had the hots for me but I was not that really into dating so I didn't know what to say because my true love was fighting “I was thinking maybe we could go out together” we danced at the ball while looking at the sky above.
The next day we got our first mission as Headmaster Jack came to greet us “You must go to Galhardias captial city and assassinating the Enchantress who is working with the dictator to get power for herself and take over the world of Rose.”
We got on our armored train which took us to the next continent but we had to use fake Ids so the Galhardia boarder patrol didn't suspect us of being PLANT members.
The train arrived in the city of Piatis which was full of neon lights and grand art which made it a shame to know it was run by the fascist Galhardia government making me want to liberate it even harder.
“I an agent Hagard from PLANTS north sector academy, so you're the team for this mission.” He greeted us.
“That's right me, Leena and Setsuna are the best there is and we're ready to prove it.” I told him and my eyes alone showed I was deadly serious.
Taking the tram we arrived at Hagards penthouse in the city, he'd been living here undercover for a while it seems. He poured himself a bepsi then gave us the low down “The enchantress is the most powerful magic user on the planet Rose, she arrived long ago as an adviser to the political class and over time they became more extreme war mongers invading other lands.” He told us.
He continued his explanation “She plans to take over Galhardia and is only using Chancellor Penjamin Nepanyahu for her own agenda, she is a being of pure evil and has to be destroyed before she can rise to power as the final anti Christ.”
Then I saw the newspaper which shocked me THE ENCHANTRESS WAS MY SISTER GENOS EDGEBLADE “HOW THE FUCK DID GENOS SURVIVE AND GET TO ROSE?!” I shouted and everyone was stunned.
“Wait, Xenos you know her?” Asked Setsuna.
I grimaced and nodded “She's my sister but she turned to evil long ago when she wiped out a kingdom of magical girls and attempted to revive a horror from beyond the void BUT I KILLED IT AND SENT HER TO OTHERWORLD but it seems she survived and somehow established herself on this world so I must stop her and finish what I started.” I said grabbing a sniper rifle, a bepis can and my duel guns.
We took our positions on the grassy knoll and there was a big parade with witches and magi there as the enchantress Genos Edgeblade came to the stand to give her speech. She was wearing a red royal dress, a crown filled with rainbow gems and a gold staff with a magical ruby “Shes here, this is it.” Setsuna said.
She began her speech “I will be the terror of the night that leads you to an era of blood and death! We shall butcher the lands and take their resources to grow more power in our never ending empire! Those that serve me shall be rewarded while the weak will be skinned alive and put display as an example to the filth!” She said and the crowd clapped clearly brainwashed by years of propaganda.
Chancellor Penjamin Nepanyahu looked worried “That's not the platform of my government, that's a bit too far even for me.” He said and she looked at him with her smug cat grin AND RIPPED HIS FUCKING HEART OUT AND THE CROWD CHEERED!
The sickening parade went on and I was disgusted at how brainwashed the people where as they openly accepted the creation of a fascist state under my sister “We need to stop her, I have to take the shot.” I told Setsuna aiming the magitech sniper rifle and firing towards Genos Edgeblades head but she blocked the shot.
Thats when she saw me from a distance and pointed “XENOS YOU MOTHERFUCKER DID YOU THINK A SNIPER ROUND COULD KILL ME? DO YOU REALLY THINK I AM THAT FUCKING WEAK YOU PIECE OF SHIT? FUCK YOU! I REALLY MEAN IT FUCK YOU!” She shouted and I grabbed a motorcycle charging towards her as I drove it into her face and it exploded.
I then jumped into the air bringing down a rain of magical bullets on top of her before unleashing a brave slash and entering combat mode.
“I'm not going to let you ruin this world, as a member of OASIS its my duty to stop monsters like you sister!” I told her because I was serious about fighting.
But what shocked me more was the Crystal Pandemonium blocking my blade, my sister had teamed up with my dark self ZENOS VOIDEDGE “This world shall enter an age of depravity and chaos.” He smiled as I had to fight the two of them off.
“YOU TEAMED UP WITH THAT FUCKER?! YOU REALLY ARE THE LOWEST OF THE LOW!” I spat.
Genos fired balls of omega magic at me while Zenos attacked with chaos slash making it hard for me to get a hit in “I have no choice.” as I powered up into my prismatic cyber form form but my evil self punched me so hard HE PUNCHED THE SUPER OUT OF ME!
Then to make it worse he went super himself in Dark super chaos demi human “I have grown stronger to meet you in battle my loathsome light side” Zenos grinned as he started kicking me while I was down.
Dashing forward I tried to throw some punches at Zenos but he flash stepped and kicked me in the back.
Setsuna and Leena came to assist me “I can do this, don't put yourselves in danger!” I asked them but they just smiled at me drawing their weapons.
“We won't let you fight alone Xenos, thats what the power of friendship is all about, right?” Leena said and cast a massive wall of fire allowing me to get the advantage as I perried Zenos attacks and was able to stab him.
He healed through and powered up but thats when I floated in the air thinking about all my friends who stood by me as glowing blue energy flowed towards me.
I BEGAN TO SURPASS ALL MY FORMERS DRAWING THE POWER AND EXPLODED INTO BLUE LIGHT WITH SPARKLING BLUE SPIKED HAIR!
THIS WAS MY CRYSTAL SUPER FORM!
“No you can't do this to me, thats not fair.” Genos said blasting me with spell after spell aiming her staff at me to unleashed forbidden destructive magic.
I used a holy bomb to blast Zenos my dark self into dust then charged forward as my body glowed with light dropping thousands of high speech light punches into Genos.
Then I drew all the blue light into me forming a crystal railgun out of the particles “CRYSTAL DRIVE DRIVER ULITMA!” I said forming the crystal railgun and blasting a non stop beam of pure cleansing energy into Genos as she disintegrated ending the threat of the enchantress once and for all.
As I returned to my normal friend my comrades hugged me “The threat is over but we need to de-radicalize these people and restore democracy” I said.

Chapter 132 notes and predictions
This is the last chapter in a very loooong time. Kato made sure to toss a few interesting breadcrumbs in, hoping to keep us pining for a another year. I gotta say, now would be a good time for season 3 of the anime, but maybe that's wishful thinking too?
Anyway...let's get to the notes.
Is Shiemi a Nephilim? Maybe.
If so, how is she so powerful?
It must be Mephisto's time powers. She's been training next to the crystalized Shemihaza and absorbing powers from that crystal for an entire year. Mephisto made a time bubble cutting her off from the main timeline to help her power up for the big battle.
Mephisto meanwhile, is flying at the top of the fray. He hasn't got any kin fighting so he's basically a spectator (per usual).
His umbrella/desk lamp has sprouted into it's pink-batlike wing form and has a platform of some kind attached that's holding him up by his cape.
A side note:
Mephisto has all of these weapons and enchanted objects in Assiah. Are they horcruxes containing fragments of his heart?
What if he finally decides to fight and not be lazy?
When Mephisto needs his full heart in battle, is he going to have an epic magical girl transformation? Will all his objects return to him?
Is he going to have those pink wings attached to his back and a magical sword of some kind (Tisona or Fang..) Will it be like Sailor Moon. (okay this is just a prediction...but maybe his final form will be something entirely different than we expect. Maybe it will be ten times more fabulous. I expect glitter, rainbow feathered eyelashes, impossible heels and legs that go on for miles---and sure, some devilish horns too. Whatever it is, it needs to outshine Satan's stripper, fetish look and will need to be more surprising than Amaimon's.
Other things I noticed: Mephisto dotes on Beez. I'm betting 100% that Mephisto pampers his sibling and purchases all of his clothes. He's Mephisto's favourite sibling and we're meeting him at the end. How sad for us!
They dress so much the same!

Mephisto then proceeds to insult his other siblings. He calls Lucifer a faux saint (yeah, Mephy, the world is so full of fake saints--people that outwardly pretend to be angels but are devils), come to think of it, Arthur Auguste Angel is the same. (He's not pretending though-- he's been brainwashed. We have to wait a very long time to find out what truly makes him tick.)
Satan needs to grow up (yes he does!). Eygn isn't that bright, and the King of Fire is just sultry. Mephisto isn't really throwing any shade at Iblis, just stating a fact. Mephisto likes sultry temptresses according to previous bios. So, he's giving Iblis's a back-handed compliment.
He then calls Egyn dumb, but I find that hard to believe. If he works in Lucifer's lab on complex DNA cloning experiments. He must be very smart by human standards. But Mephisto is comparing the poor little fella to himself, and Mephisto believes he's smarter than probably every living creature, and maybe he is, so fair?
Speaking of cuteness.
Little Beez called Amaimon AM. Like they're besties.
Mephisto then mocks Amaimon about Shiemi and he makes this adorable pouty face. Awww.
The demon Kin Question
According to this chapter, demon kings can declare that kin must obey them
YET
The demon kings can't always control their kin.
Kin demons under contract with humans are bound to those humans. A human contract trumps a demon king's commands. Fun stuff.
That means demon kings that fight on the side of humans will instantly have more cowbell than Lucifer's side.
Does that also mean if a demon king enters into a contract with a human can the human can say NO to their fight? Make them use their powers differently? Does it depend on the terms of the contract? Could the human win against a demon, or could a demon become a slave to a human? Is it a friendship?
Is there a code? A strict set of rules that must be followed?
Subtleties
This is news to the all-knowing Satan?
Satan claims to know everything about the universe but he obviously doesn't. He hasn't lived in Assiah long enough to get the intricate demon/human relationship knowledge that Mephy has.

Shura was acting strangely in the last chapter and in this chapter she's basically just calling it in. Her personality keeps changing and it's confusing. She turns up in the last chapter just in time to manipulate Yukio's feelings, and in this chapter....she looks damn sleepy. Hardly ready to fight a battle against Satan. I'm baffled.
On a final note, Rin has tamed his inner demons and has done what Amaimon couldn't do, use his power while being in complete control. Is he going to kick Satan's ass? I hope not, I think he'd better go his mom's route and try taming Satan instead.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) Story Review
Disclaimer: I will be judging this game by the plot and writing, not the gameplay.
Introduction
Greetings, mortals! For today's review, we'll be looking at one of the most overhated and criminally underrated Sonic game stories, Sonic 06.
Whenever I look at a Dark Era game, I see meaning, passion and effort put into it. And Sonic 06 is the epitome of meaning and passion. I never understood why so many people hated it back in the day, to be honest.
This is part of a series of reviews in which I’ll be going into slightly more detail about my thoughts on the main series Sonic game storylines, and why I think they're either well written and engaging, or an absolute trainwreck (or somewhere in-between). I’ll be giving my stance on the character portrayals, visuals, soundtracks, voice actors, and what themes/messages they had to offer. Keep in mind that these are just my own personal thoughts. Whether you agree or disagree, feel free to share your own thoughts and opinions!
Anyway, let us begin! ^^
Plot
Mephiles manipulates his way with everyone to release Iblis so he can re-form Solaris to enact his revenge on Shadow for locking him up in the Scepter of Darkness.
Characters
Sonic didn't have much involvement in the storyline other than him saving the same girl five times in a row without once interacting with the main villain. However, I do like seeing the mature, sympathetic side of Sonic's character, which would be further developed in games like Secret Rings, Unleashed and Black Knight.
Tails' inclusion in the story was kind of pointless. He doesn't really do anything besides follow Sonic around.
Knuckles' inclusion was pointless as well. He doesn't contribute anything. Shouldn't he be guarding the Master Emerald?
Also, I think Amy was flanderized much sooner than the rest of the cast.
"If I had to choose between the world and Sonic, I would choose Sonic!"
Remember back in SA1, when Amy went out of her way to protect Gamma, EVEN FROM SONIC? SEGA doesn't.
I love how Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge and Omega) is written here. They are the only team that each member contributes to the plot. They are presented as the truest friends and as they should be.
Silver is a great character with a very compelling storyline: He comes from a ruined time and has to come to terms that he's been manipulated and has to sacrifice his only friend to save his world. I love his powers, his childlike personality is adorable, and I love his relationship with Blaze, who acts as a mentor to him.
Mephiles is easily one of the best parts of 06 in my opinion. I personally consider him to be my second favorite Sonic villain next to Black Doom. He is an evil demonic creature who is really powerful. He is cunning, sly, and a scarily good manipulator. He is part of the sun god, Solaris, and he is smart and intimidating as well. And he is the only villain who successfully killed Sonic (albeit temporarily).
I never particularly cared for Princess Elise to be honest. I know that her romance with Sonic is a common criticism directed at the character, but my main issue with Elise is that she has zero personality besides loving Sonic, and she gets kidnapped more times than Princess Peach. I find the damsel in distress trope to be both sexist and cliche. The Sonic franchise has had many strong female characters, but Princess Elise is not one of them.
Eggman is just BORING in 06. His personality is subdued and is closer to a Bond villain than anything else. Eggman kidnaps Elise throughout the game because he believes she is connected to the Solaris project and wants to use her to rule the world. His plan is to extract Iblis from her soul. HE NEVER DOES IT. He never even attempts to do it, despite having multiple chances, after kidnapping Elise several times, he never gets any closer to succeeding in his plan.
Visuals
As always, the CGI cutscenes look incredible. It legitimately felt like I was watching a movie. The in-game character models however, have a tendency to fall into the uncanny valley at times, with Eggman's "realistic" redesign being among the worst offenders.
Soundtrack
I personally consider this to be my second favorite Sonic game soundtrack. The main theme, His World is amazing, Crush 40's rendition of All Hail Shadow is a banger, Dreams of an Absolution is one of my all time favorites, and while I don't care for Elise as a character, I do think that her theme, My Destiny is a beautiful, tear-jerking song.
Voice Acting
Like most of the Dark Era games, the voice acting is pretty good. Jason Griffith once again does a great job voicing both Sonic and Shadow, and Mike Pollock once again nails Eggman. Princess Elise may not be the best character in the franchise, but Lacey Chabert did a decent job voicing her. Amy Palant (Tails) did an okay job, Dan Green absolutely nails both Knuckles and Mephiles, Pete Capella (Silver) put a lot of emotion into his performance, and I really like that. Bella Hudson (Blaze) did an amazing job as well.
Theme/Message
Sonic 06 has an excellent message that we need now more than ever: the past may be traumatic, the future may be bleak, but focus on the present moment to make the best of it. Shadow represents the past, Sonic the present and Silver the future. Shadow has come to terms with the past in his solo game, so Mephiles taunts him with his future but Shadow doesn't care because he focuses on the present moment. 06's theme is why the entire story is the way it is. 06 gives a better message to kids than the entire Meta Era.
Conclusion
Overall, I think Sonic 06 has a really good story despite its flaws. It had a lot of passion and effort put into it, and it has a great moral that we need now more than ever, so I find it disheartening when people blindly hate it for all the wrong reasons. 06's story may not be perfect, but it is very underrated and I believe it deserves more love.

Sonic 06 Theory: What would have happened if Sonic met Mephiles?
Now now- I know Sonic 06 is a terribly flawed game that needed a lot more time put into it and the love plot between Sonic and Elise toned down or ripped from the script entirely. Everyone wants to hate on this game and compare every single Sonic game after negatively to it (hence why Sega may or may not be dumbing down/ rewriting the entire plot!!!). While I acknowledge it is flawed both in gameplay and story elements, I firmly believe if it was given the time it needed, it would have been perhaps one of the greatest Sonic games out there. I am a sucker for the lines and characters as well as many voice acting scenes and I don’t want to hear a negative opinion about it when I analyze. I haven’t gotten one yet, but I’m just putting it out there. Alright now onto the analysis.
In Sonic 06, Mephiles, who is a main antagonist to Shadow and a manipulator to Silver and Blaze, is never seen interacting with Sonic nor is ever mentioned in Sonic’s story (except when Knuckles points him out like “Whoa! Did you see that? That guy looked just like Shadow!” and well... you know). Its fairly odd and perhaps another mistake of the game we don’t see the speedy blue making a joke of how his faker now has a faker or there can only be one faker after spin balling straight for Mephiles’s head. Or perhaps there is a more interesting way this plot hole can be filled.
I’ve analyzed before that Mephiles is hateful towards humanity because it split him and Iblis from their original body of Solaris and sealed the both away (quite flawlessly meaning perhaps its been tested before) and is a reflection of Shadow in many ways (the shadow of Shadow). We know he wanted to kill Sonic so Elise can cry and free Iblis, but he originally didn’t plan to kill Sonic himself. He sent Silver and quite possibly would have sent Shadow to do the dirty deed before Silver found out the truth and Shadow kept refusing.
The question has rattled in a couple people’s heads-why didn’t Mephiles just kill Sonic sooner and just do it himself? Well, I have 2 possible explanations. One- Sonic and Elise needed to be closer together in order for her to cry and perhaps Silver was a ploy to bring them closer together which given how manipulative Mephiles is probably would be very likely. But I want to entertain explanation two... Sonic would ruin everything (obviously- he always triumphs- but hear me out)... by becoming his friend.
Now after enduring all these paragraphs you may be asking, “What?! Friends?! But Mephiles is evil! Sonic would never-!” and you might be right. Sonic would likely not fall into Mephiles’s manipulation trap and if he knew he was a mastermind behind things, would do anything to stop Mephiles’s plas before its too late. But Sonic is also a very understanding and kind individual. Whenever Shadow (of whom Mephiles reflects) was Sonic’s enemy, usually Sonic ends up being the supportive "voice of reason” to help him realize he’s either wrong or being manipulated by some odd force.
If Sonic understood why Mephiles was acting the way he did (which granted depends on how open-minded he is to accept his enemy as more than just an enemy by pre-establishing a friendship which I’ll get to) most likely he’d try to come up with a solution to where Elise was able to release Iblis and supposedly get Solaris not to want to destroy time. Now of course, in a situation like this, Mephiles would most likely be manipulating Sonic. But how would Sonic be able to actually convince Mephiles/Solaris not to destroy time and thereby making Mephiles avoid Sonic entirely until the end? By the power of friendship!
Mephiles looks like Shadow and is a target of Eggman’s along with Elise (because together they have the power of Solaris). And Mephiles would know that Eggman and Elise would crash to their deaths causing Iblis to be released in a way that makes Silver’s current timeline. These are the elements that could set up for an unlikely alliance.
Now perhaps a better theorist can pull apart my theory by mentioning that perhaps he wasn’t avoiding Sonic but Elise. Unfortunately, at this time I do not have enough dots connected or evidence to prove your theory true so until I make my own, I’ll leave it to you (just be sure to tag me in it. I’d like to see it and maybe put my own take on it).
The fact Sonic learns nothing about Mephiles except like one split second of him manipulating Blaze and Silver kind of makes me think just how much more easily the story would have come together. There are definatley flaws still (like very religious parents probably not liking how a guy named “Mephiles” was helped by Sonic) but the possibility still remains that Sonic could have changed the whole course of 06′s story by simply understanding what Mephiles was after and perhaps changing his world view. Now- that’s also partially manipulated by the fact that I like that kind of story where a hero sees that their enemy isn’t just simply a monster trying to kill everybody and I just see where Mephiles would get hatred for humanity. We’re supposed to see him kind of as this manipulative entity of pure darkness that wants destruction, But how would you feel if someone who used to honor you ran experiments and split you apart to see his dead wife then got sealed away for 10 years from your other half because of the future of what you’d become? Wait a minute... Mephiles said Shadow got sealed away in the future because people feared what he’d become/ was... Hmmmm...

How was Infinite better than Mephiles in your opinion? I think Infinite had a bit of potential but Pontiff ruined what little there was.
Is Forces a Pontaff game? It doesn’t look like one, and I think they just translated/collaborated? No seriously, I remember reading the credits and being confused. Anyway.
Let’s get out of the way the most shallow reason I prefer Infinite: design. Infinite’s design is damn cool, he’s so edgy that it’s obvious he’s meant to be a caricature, with his clawed gloves and boots with his own friggin’ symbol on it, but he’s still appealing to the eyes. Before you finish the game, the mask also adds intrigue: why is he wearing it, and why is he blind in one eye? It motivates you to get to know more about him. It also helps that he’s a canid, a family that is quite rare in the series - I can only think of Tails and Chip - and it makes him unique but not in a special OC way. (this also means he even has some cute features like big ears and a fluffy tail, which add delicious contrast to his “I'm the toughest of terrors I am the darkest of days” design)
On the contrary, Mephiles has two designs: Multiplayer-Mode Shadow...
And Nightmare Shadow.
And sure, the crystallized form is pretty cool to look at, but he still Shadow. I get that he was reborn from Shadow’s shadow (some writer felt very clever that day), but I kinda would have preferred to see him take other forms. Well, it’s not like the devs had the time to add a third model...
(also, both of them have awesome voices so I can’t put one above the other)
As for the rest, here’s a rundown:
- Mephiles, along with Iblis to a lesser extent, overshadows Eggman. He’s yet another villain that takes the stage and reduces the good ol’ doc to a miniboss, more preoccupied with stealing the McGuffin... I mean, Princess Elise, than to do some interesting villaining - this has the ripple effect of making Sonic the Hedgehog, in a game called Sonic the Hedgehog, nearly useless to the main plot until he’s killed. I have little tolerance for villains who want to be more “dangerous” than Eggman at this point, and Mephiles was only one of the last ones that played this overused trope seriously (wish he was the last one, but Dark Gaia is a smear on an otherwise beautiful game... but that’s another story). By contrast, Infinite is always Eggman’s weapon, and the game never implies you’re supposed to think less of the scientist - Infinite may be an arrogant buffoon, but he never leaves Eggman’s side. The two work on a tandem, and basically Infinite is terrifying raw strength combined with Eggman’s superior intellect. Took him long enough, but Eggman has essentially tamed a powerful beast like he’s been planning to do since Chaos.
- Mephiles is meant to be this master manipulator, a 4D chessmaster moving pieces across time and space to get to his goal. I love the idea, really: he’s the raw intellect of a god without any of the strength of a god, so he has to play dirty and play on mortals’ emotions. The problem is that the game isn’t competent enough to pull such a feat, so everyone basically has the IQ of a brick - everyone who has even watched some videos points out at least two things:
1) how can Silver, even if he grew up in a destroyed city, trust some random guy without a mouth and reptilian eyes who suddenly tells him “here’s the cause of your problems, now go back in time and kill him” and Silver is just like “okie dokie” without even asking “excuse me, and whomst the fuck are you”
2) Mephiles can travel in time anywhere he wishes AND he can apparently conjure the Emeralds at his side. There is literally nothing stopping him to go to Silver’s future and rejoin Iblis there, or even prevent the incident that split them. The game set no limitations to his powers, and so we’re free to think about the most obvious solutions, and so his overly complicated plan that hinges on a boy killing another boy 200 years in the past after he bonded with the Iblis seal to make her cry in grief, plus triggering Shadow’s trauma on the side... even more hard to follow, because it’s all useless.
Infinite, to be fair, has a similar problem with his powers: the Phantom Ruby’s potential has never been specificed, but it seems to be a strong reality warper that can even teleport people (Mania) - and yet we only see Infinite conjure clones and spikes with it, which is boring. However, one thing he has over Mephiles is that the guy’s blatantly an idiot. Like, the story doesn’t shy away from showing how his arrogant, sadistic mistakes like “lol i’ll leave you alive because you’re not worth my time” have serious repercussions to Eggman’s plans, to the point that the guy at the end is like “you know what, I’m sick of your shit” and kills him. And you may be like “how does that make him better than Mephiles” - well he’s more believable, and more human (relatively speaking), and Forces’ story was written with feet but no one got their IQ divided by itself so there’s that.
I get the feeling Infinite is meant to be both intimidating and a parody of overly edgy and cool villains like Mephiles himself, and for me it works. Mephiles... he’s kinda like ShTH: he takes himself way too seriously. Except ShTH is funny, at least.
To be kind to Mephiles, his backstory is at least more precise, and definitely more interesting: as I mentioned, I love the idea of a god that was split into powerless intellect and mindless strength. In a better game, Mephiles would have been an interesting villain, completely ineffectual in a physical battle and maybe in constant pain, but omniscent and with a streak of sadism.
Infinite, on the other hand, clearly went through a shift in backstory: the main game hints at the fact that he was made in a lab, but then Episode Shadow comes in and he’s just some guy who was bullied too hard. I... okay.
Anyway, Infinite is more appealing to me and he doesn’t break Forces’ already fragile plot like Mephiles does. also he cute. there :V

Silver & Blaze Origins Theory
NOTE: This is just for fun and isn’t proven by canon material.
EDIT 4/26/2020: Added a read more & better Silver evidence.
A lotta things bother me about these two. Based on the canon info we have (outlined in this in-depth post), we know they both originate from the distant future. When Blaze seals Iblis inside herself, she leaves the distant future and fades into the Sol Dimension. In turn, she becomes princess of the Sol Dimension, which later involves her in the events of Sonic Rush. Neither Blaze nor Silver remember one another because the Sonic 06 timeline resets. However, they do meet anew in the new timeline.
Time reset paradoxes aside... I have questions.
How did Blaze seal Iblis inside herself?
How did Blaze seal herself into another dimension?
How did Blaze arrive in the Sol Dimension’s present rather than its future?
How did Blaze become princess of the Sol Dimension by dropping into it?
How does Blaze have an affinity with the Sol Emeralds when she’s not from their dimension? (enough to turn into Burning Blaze)
Before anyone points it out, yes, I’m aware several of these can be answered with “bad writing.” But I want to have fun with lore and logic.
I’ve created a theory that satisfies all these questions. I acknowledge that one of the questions has a canonical answer, but the rest are based on assumptions made by the player. For fun’s sake, let’s question those assumptions. Then at the end I’ll present my theory.
1) How did Blaze seal Iblis inside herself?
Because her soul is alit with flames. That is, if you believe the answer from Sonic 06.
Let’s establish the rules the game lays out for sealing Iblis. First, Iblis can be sealed inside members of the Soleanna royal family.
Eternal Sun! The Living Flame that has been entrusted to the royal family! Fall into slumber with a royal soul!
- Duke of Soleanna
Second, Iblis cannot be sealed inside Silver.
We can rule out that Silver used the wrong incantation, wrong number of Chaos Emeralds, or that he must have special training or bloodline, because the third thing we learn is Iblis CAN be sealed inside Blaze. And she used the same method he did. The only difference is her soul.
Don’t worry. My soul is already alit with flames. I will be accepted.
- Blaze the Cat
To me, this explanation seems a little too convenient. An exception to the royal soul rule exists? And it’s a soul alit with flames? Which in of itself is a rarity considering no other character consistently wields fire powers, much less has these powers associated with their SOUL. And Blaze just happens to exist in Silver’s timeline AND is close enough to him to be involved in the events of Sonic 06 and have the opportunity to perform the seal?
Convenient as it is, it’s still an explanation. I could accept this answer... Or, I could point out a much more interesting factor to consider. Blaze just happens to have a royal affiliation... more on that later.
2) How did Blaze seal herself into another dimension?
This takes place in-game, yet there’s no explanation. Add in the fact that it’s apparently something Silver can do too, and it makes even less sense.
Come on, make it quick. Use your Chaos Control... to stop time. Then... seal us into a different dimension.
- Blaze the Cat
Considering Silver learned to use Chaos Control, it’s plausible he could’ve stopped time like Blaze asked. But how exactly was he supposed to seal her into a different dimension? There’s two possibilities: 1) Chaos Control, or 2) It’s an innate ability.
Innate ability is absurd. It’d make Silver way overpowered and begs the question why he never helped everyone escape from Iblis to a different dimension before this. But Chaos Control isn’t much better. Sonic, Shadow, and Silver all use Chaos Control to open time portals throughout Sonic 06. But not dimensional portals. On top of that, 2 people and 2 Chaos Emeralds are required to open these portals.
What amazes me is when Silver prepares to do as Blaze told him, he’s not even holding any Chaos Emeralds. How does he expect to do it with a flick of his arm?
In the end, it doesn’t matter, because Blaze herself is the one who does it. But establishing how unlikely it is for Silver makes it even less likely for Blaze. She never learned Chaos Control. And, seeing as only hedgehogs are known to wield this ability, it’s doubtful she can.
So... how did she do it? Maybe it’s some combined effect of Iblis, the Chaos Emeralds, and her soul, but... that’s a lame explanation.
There’s one more possibility if we watch the cutscene closely.
The Sol Emeralds.
It can be debated that she’s turning into Burning Blaze here. It lasts maybe 2 seconds. You can watch and decide for yourself here.
Burning Blaze brings the Sol Emeralds into the equation. And for me, they’re the best explanation for how Blaze transported to a different dimension. After all, they were a contributing factor in her transporting to Sonic’s dimension in Sonic Rush. Another thing of note is almost immediately after turning into Burning Blaze, she starts to fade away, suggesting that activating the form triggered her fade into another dimension.
There’s a problem though. Up to this point, Blaze has had no association with the Sol Dimension or its emeralds. So how can the Sol Emeralds be here?
Maybe you can argue she gained access to the Sol Emeralds by beginning to fade into the Sol Dimension itself. But how did she start fading into the Sol Dimension without first accessing the Sol Emeralds? A lotta people allow time and dimensional stuff to be a little paradox-y, but I don’t wanna be so lax.
This leads me to believe: Blaze has always had an association with the Sol Emeralds. How? More on that later.
3) How did Blaze arrive in the Sol Dimension’s present rather than its future?
Or, to ask it another way, if Blaze entered the Sol Dimension from the future, why does she end up in the present when she crosses back over in Sonic Rush and other games? Shouldn’t she end up in the future with Silver?
Frankly, if a series lets characters jump dimensions and timelines, it’s not that far-fetched to let them jump both in one go (see: Eggman Nega). But to give a less magical answer, the reason could be Iblis. The Duke was conducting experiments on Solaris in an effort to manipulate time. If Iblis is associated with time too, it could’ve taken Blaze to a different time in the Sol Dimension.
This question doesn’t add or detract from my theory, so I won’t include it in the last section. I included it here cuz it’s a good question I’ve seen asked.
4) How did Blaze become princess of the Sol Dimension by dropping into it?
Now here’s a big one.
Surely the Sol Dimension existed before Blaze entered it, as evidenced by its long history and heritage. And part of this heritage states the role of guarding the Sol Emeralds is passed down the princesses of the royal family. How can Blaze just drop in and become the princess when she hasn’t had any association with the Sol Dimension up to this point?
I see 3 possibilities: 1) Blaze transporting to the Sol Dimension caused the dimension itself to change and... conveniently make her the most important person in the dimension, 2) Some circumstance convinced the royal family to change their tradition and appoint Blaze, or 3) Blaze was always a princess in the Sol Dimension.
Now, earlier I said that I think Blaze has always been associated with the Sol Emeralds. I also think she’s always been a princess in the Sol Dimension. But, how, if she originated from the future? Hm... maybe it’s because she didn’t...
5) How does Blaze have an affinity with the Sol Emeralds when she’s not from their dimension?
I’m won’t bother presenting other possibilities with this one. The only option I can accept is Blaze was always from the Sol Dimension. Always a guardian of the Sol Emeralds.
So let’s get to the theory!
Theory: Silver and Blaze are from the past.
Oh yes. It’s conspiracy theory time
I don’t think Silver and Blaze are from the future. They were definitely there in Sonic 06, and Silver continues to reside there. But I don’t think that’s the time they originated from. I think they came from the distant past. Silver, from Sonic’s dimension’s past, and Blaze from the Sol Dimension’s past. And I think they knew each other there.
Blaze being from the Sol Dimension’s past makes the questions disappear.
1) How did Blaze seal Iblis inside herself?
She has a royal soul.
2) How did Blaze seal herself into another dimension?
She turned into Burning Blaze and the Sol Emeralds returned her to the dimension she belongs to.
4) How did Blaze become princess of the Sol Dimension by dropping into it?
She was already its princess in the distant past. When she returns, she’s recognized as such and re-appointed to her role.
5) How does Blaze have an affinity with the Sol Emeralds when she’s not from their dimension?
She IS from their dimension!
So here’s the basic narrative:
Long ago, in the distant past, Blaze was princess of the Sol Dimension. An unknown event displaced her and Silver to the distant future of Sonic’s dimension. They both lost their memories. Later, Blaze returned to the Sol Dimension’s present after sealing Iblis inside herself. Her memories were again lost. But the people of the Sol Dimension recognized her. Amazement spread across the land at the return of the lost princess of old. The royal family helped her regain her memories, or re-taught her who she was. She was then re-appointed to her role and continued life in her rightful dimension.
So what about Silver? What information supports Silver being from the past?
Truthfully, not much. At least not compared to Blaze. But I have a few broad points to support it. To explore them, we’ll need to go to the past.
The Past
What do we know about the past?
We know that technology was more advanced. Understanding of magic (emeralds, etc) was more advanced. The civilizations that wielded them flourished, but now, no longer exist. Doom was brought upon them after they misused their technology.
This narrative has been consistent in the games from the 90s to present day (seriously, check out the translated Japanese Genesis era manuals). Despite that, we rarely see this past for ourselves. Even time periods fans consider “the past,” such as the flashbacks in Sonic Adventure, don’t depict this technologically advanced time.
The only glimpses we have are rare ancient ruins that haven’t completely succumbed to nature yet--locations like Sky Sanctuary.
Sky Sanctuary’s more technological side is best seen inside the ruins. Revealed there are lots of glowing, geometric, cyan lights.
Now, where have we seen that before?
Usually, Silver’s futuristic design is attributed to him being, well, from the future. But what makes things “look” futuristic? Appearing more technologically advanced than the present. Now, is there anything about the future in Sonic 06 that screams “technologically advanced”? Everything is in ruins. It’s an apocalyptic world.
Which time seems more advanced than Sonic’s present? The past, or the future? Which time does Silver’s design most belong to?
Being from the past also better explains Silver’s powers. Technology and magic were better understood back then. If people can wield powers in Sonic’s world, the past is the time period it would be most common. And isn’t it unique how Silver and Blaze are the only two characters who consistently wield powers without the aid of technology or magical gemstones/items?
If you want a more direct comparison of Sky Sanctuary’s technological motifs next to Silver, here’s something I whipped up:
That’s all the support I have for Silver being from the past. Him originating from the past isn’t required for this theory to work, I just prefer it cuz it dovetails nicely into the whole theme SEGA has going for them. And into the next thing I’m gonna talk about.
I like to imagine that Blaze and Silver knew each other when they lived in the distant past. But how, if they’re from two different dimensions?
Dimensions
Let’s talk about dimensions. Sonic’s world has several. Sonic’s dimension, the Sol Dimension, Maginaryworld, maybe the storybook games? And there’s probably others I’m forgetting.
I’d argue the Babylonians are from their own dimension too. If you don’t already know, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity reveals that the Babylonians were aliens that got marooned on Sonic’s planet in the distant past. But if dimensions are a thing in the Sonic world, what’s more likely? That the Babylonians were considered aliens because they’re from outer space, or because they were from a different dimension?
Knowing the Sonic world has these dimensions, and that people of the past were much more advanced... What if they realized there were other dimensions? What if they began communicating with each other? Formed relationships and alliances?
A world where it’s commonplace to communicate with those outside your own dimension. This is a world where Silver and Blaze could know each other.
The only evidence I have to support this is the guardian structure. The first three dimensions I listed (Sonic’s world, the Sol Dimension, and Maginaryworld) all have their own guardian structure that started in ancient times and remain preserved to this day. What if the rulers of the past agreed to form this guardian structure to protect the magical items of the worlds, and to also preserve the autonomy of their individual dimensions?
Final premise
I’ll conclude this with a premise that resulted from my imagination running wild with this. If you like this theory, feel free to explore your own ideas!

It’s the distant past. Thousands of years before Sonic’s time.
There are many dimensions. And within them, civilizations. Some more are advanced than others. Those with the technology to detect their neighboring dimensions have formed loose alliances with one another. This encourages cooperation between dimensions and is especially helpful when threats appear within or between dimensions.
In this era, there lives a princess named Blaze the Cat. She’s an inhabitant of the Sol Dimension, and Guardian of the Sol Emeralds. Her high position naturally involves her in interdimensional affairs.
Blaze is called to help investigate a problem shared between her dimension and the dimension famous for its Chaos Emeralds. While there, she meets a hedgehog named Silver (or already knew him beforehand). The further she progresses her investigation, the more serious the problem proves to be.
This is nothing we’ve seen before. Our worlds are in danger!
- A line I could imagine Blaze telling Silver
Perhaps it’s the first manifestations of the doom that will later be brought upon their worlds. Or maybe it’s one of the series’ godlike beings--Solaris, Time Eater, Dark Gaia, etc. Or maybe someone, or something, is meddling with powers they shouldn’t.
Eventually, Blaze and Silver face a final culmination of this problem. An event that either sucks them into time and space, or presents such danger to their lives that the Sol Emeralds pull them into time and space to protect them. Either way, they are ripped from their current time and thrown far, far into the future.
And they are never heard from again.

Dear Parents,
Let's be real, now more than ever we need to teach our kids the principle of "lowering their gaze." Pandora's box is wide open and unfortunately between her and Victoria a lot of "secrets", unmentionables, and private matters are on full display.
We need to be vigilant and strong, but we also need to be wise. While in many ways the premise of those verses is to divert one's attention and gaze from harmful and explicit things, it’s much more comprehensive than that.
We must teach our kids not only to look away from inappropriate, immodest, illicit, explicit, and vulgar things, but also things that are not necessarily perverse but disturbing nonetheless.
I suggest framing this conversation around the spiritual heart and what imprints upon it. For example, the other day this topic came up again with my kids. I explained to them that the heart is something that things leave impressions upon, good and bad. I told them that because Allah ﷻ is beautiful and loves beauty, that by our very nature He designed us to love beauty as well. That is why when our senses come across something unarguably beautiful, whether it is a glorious sunset or a breathtaking view of the stars, or the synchronized chirps of birds at Fajr or a recitation of the Qur'an that sends chills up our spine, our spiritual hearts are immediately imprinted and we respond with awe and wonder.
In the same vein, when our senses are bombarded by negative or foul images, disturbing or inappropriate sounds, etc., our hearts are also imprinted upon, but we respond in horror and disgust.
This is why it is imperative that we learn to self-regulate & to show restraint, to DENY the ego and its partner in crime, Iblis, the satisfaction of looking, staring, rubber-necking, etc., because the bottom line is that some things simply CANNOT be unseen and it is precisely that type of power over us that Iblis delights in!
Children learn by example so just speaking about these things without context or offering some type of example is not enough. They need to understand how negative images have a lasting and deleterious effect on the heart and soul.
One of the ways you can do this is to think back on perhaps a frightening experience they may have had, whether it was seeing an image on a screen, in real life, or in a dream. Ask them to think about how that image haunted them even long afterwards. Make that connection concrete and then tell them for this reason we are told not to look at what is harmful, because the effect upon the heart could be lasting and disruptive to our sense of safety and well-being.
Also, remind them of the hadith about minding one's own business:
عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلَامِ الْمَرْءِ تَرْكَهُ مَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ
Ali ibn Husayn reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Verily, part of perfection in Islam is for a person to leave what does not concern him.” (Tirmidhī 2318)
Kids need to learn to stop indulging their appetites in general, but especially their eyes. They sadly have inherited a world where images are shoved and forced upon them 24-7, but it is OUR responsibility to protect them by teaching them the importance of self-control and preventative actions.
Of course, we must first model this ourselves. So when we are watching something on TV or passing by a billboard that may depict something harmful, we should be mindful not to stare but actually exercise self-control and look away, fast forward, or simply turn it off.
Kids will follow our example this way, in sha Allah. But if we ourselves make light of things or shrug as if these things aren't important because "hey, it's just a commercial or an ad, it will be over soon," then we can't expect them to show restraint.
May God guide our children and protect them from all the evils in creation, and help them guard their eyes from harm before it reaches their hearts. Amin.

One Word (An Introduction)
Prompt: Describe each character in the works with just one word
Author’s Note: So i’m using this prompt as a sort of introduction to my characters for my short stories just in case anyone get’s confused as to who the characters used in the prompts are, or if anyone's interested in learning a bit more about them past the short stories. Unfortunately, I’m not great at drawing, so I hope the description of them will do them justice. It’ll mostly consist of My main fantasy groups. But if I feel the need to write a random piece about different characters, I’ll include them below as well. But without further ado... Here we go!
