#I have thoughts about the new tour yet I am not sure if I should share (given why I do so in tags)#I am not surprised to see denmark is absent#I am a bit surprised to see no scandinavian country AT ALL#not surprised to see germany and the uk have most dates (that's sadly something I've seen a lot from bands/artists I like)#a little befundled with the route he has scheduled for both germany and the uk dates#glad to see other countries like switzerland france and the netherlands get their debut#not surprised it is in october since that seems to be around the same time for his europe antics last year as well#all this said I am a bit conflicted what to do myself#I'd like to go to gigs on this tour#yet I've already run out of the country four times these past upcoming five months (three times to finland)#since it is quite expensive and maybe not something I will have time for given I hopefully get an internship in august#with that in mind I feel like I should probably go for only a few dates#and yet last time I felt very much like I was missing out and overlooked because I didn't go to “more than two shows”#and here is where I feel like my thoughts are probably not great#i was thinking about maybe going for hamburg as first priority since it is the closest (4 hours in train)#then have frankfurt and munich as second priorities making it a little mini tour#I am not sure if I'd physically and mentally be able to do more than three gigs in a row#yet if I am I sort of want to go to zurich too because I've never been there#two days to decide is not very long#I feel very stressed tbh#and I hope noone will take this in any wrong way#please I really dont want to feel shit again#I know my last concert related take was on the fence#(even though as it turned out the venue did worse than me in that regard)#but this one is really just me thinking about what would be the smartest plan#other possible options would be to go for zurich since it is in a weekend (sunday) and then - depending on whether or not I have work#either go home or follow jere to amsterdam (then maybe paris and brussels)#another option is berlin then hamburg and then to home from there (so two shows)#or london and bristol since its the weekend (maybe manchester as well if it is not far - so up to three shows)#the latter I am a bit concerned about since being trans in the uk is not great atm

Welcome to two weeks of suffering for auxiliary percussion. This is not what I had in mind when I asked my friend if I joined drumline would I "maybe shake a tambourine and when I sing you sing harmonies"

"So you and Robin, ay?" Eddie asked as he and Chrissy sat around scribbling into notebooks one evening.
"Oh hush, it's nothing, just a handful of dates is all" Chrissy blushed.
"Yeah, sure, a handful of dates. We both know what that means for lesbians. You'll be married by the end of the week." Eddie laughed, poking her side.
"I'm bisexual you biphobic ass" Chrissy responded. "But yes, only a handful of dates."
"You clearly like her, Chris, you need to ask her out officially. Do something romantic and ask her the next time you go down on her or something" Eddie shrugged, picking up his dragon slayer and strumming out a few chords.
"Eww! Dont be so crass." Chrissy squeaked.
Eddie laughed and continued to go between playing and writing for a few more minutes.
"Chris, we need to be playing to people, we need a band" Eddie sighed.
"We do, we really do. We need a few more people. Robin can play the guitar really well and it would be a good excuse for me to pick my bass back up, I really should play it more."
"Ok, so we have 2 guitarists and a bassist, as well as 2 singers." Eddie counted on his fingers.
"I'll speak to Robs tomorrow and see what she says if you want?" Chrissy said as she continued to write lyrics in her notebook.
The following day Chrissy was sat out by Lovers Lake with Robin, something they did most days after school. They spent time talking about their days, working on homework and making out as much as they could.
"Birdie, me and Eddie were doing some songwriting last night when we discussed being in a band. We were wondering if you wanted to join us and start a band. I can play bass, you and Eddie can play guitar and Eddie can sing." Chrissy asked.
"Oh, that could be so fun! I would love to bunny" Robin answered kissing Chrissy.
"Steve can play the drums so I could ask him to join too if that's ok? It could be even more fun with him in the band too. We need a place to practice and we need to start getting gigs and then keep working our way up!" Robin rambled making Chrissy giggle.
"Sure baby, we can ask Steve to join. I'll let Eddie know when I see him next. It'll be great. We can do band practice at mine, we can use one of the garages." she smiled at the girl in front of her.
"I spoke to Robin, she's excited to join us and she's suggested Steve joins as well, I've said it's ok but that I would tell you when I next see you." Chrissy told Eddie later that week when they met up again for their weekly movie evening.
"Steve?" Eddie questions as he sets chips into a bowl.
"Harrington, yes" Chrissy replied as she picked the bowl up and curled into the corner of the couch with it.
"Absolutely not, not that top 40, granddad rock-listening jock." Eddie huffed and went to grab another bowl for more chips, knowing full well he had no chance of getting the others back from Chrissy. He was secretly happy about this though, she was eating much better recently.
"He plays the drums and is into punk you ass, can we at least try with him?" Chrissy asked, looking up at him with her big bright eyes that she knew worked.
"Fine," Eddie grumbled "but I'm not happy about it at all."
"Just see how it is at mine next week." she smiled as Eddie got comfy and they started the film. "Not to mention I remember you having a crush on him all those years ago." she winked.
"Oh hush you, you menace of a pixie" Eddie laughed, reaching for the remote and pressing play on the film they had set up to watch.
"So," Robin started as she slid into the dining booth opposite Steve for their weekly fries and milkshake bitchfest. "I was talking to Chrissy the other day and she and Eddie are starting a band, I'm joining them. I want you to join us too. It could be so fun."
"Munson?" was all Steve said looking at her.
"Yes, Munson." Robin sighed. "Will you at least think about it?"
"Yeah ok, anything for you and your little girlfriend," Steve said, sounding very falsely put out by this.
"She's not my girlfriend" Robin hissed at him. "Just come to hers next week and see how practice goes please."
"You know I'll be there, you'll need a lift there and back. I'm not trusting Munson in that death wagon to keep you safe." Steve replied, starting to eat the food that had been placed in front of him.
"Oh dingus, I remember you used to have a crush on him, what happened to that?" Robin cackled.
"I never had a crush on him, don't be stupid." Steve replied unconvincingly.
"Steve said he'll join us in the band," Robin announced to Chrissy as they sat down to eat lunch together a couple of days later.
"Is he as excited as Eddie is?" Chrissy giggled, picking at her salad.
"Oh yes, very," Robin laughed. "They'll be fine when we can get them together and playing some music"
"I can't wait to get playing and be able to spend more time with you" Chrissy blushed.
"Me neither, it's going to be so fun. I really hope we make it big. It would be so awesome to make our dreams come together." Robin smiled.
"Urg stop being so cute when I can't grab you and kiss you, got to save that for later. Want to stay over mine tonight?" Chrissy asked.
"Erm, yeah, of course" The other girl stuttered.
"Good, we can have loads of fun," Chrissy winked.
"I'll need to head to mine for a little while after my last class, let my parents know, and grab a bag of things," Robin said, trying to hide behind her food.

but pretty much soukoku as an idol group til the photographer/aspireing writer oda somehow gets in a scandle and has his parental rights to his kids taken away. before was shared custody but now is.. not.
at this point dazai was already very ready to quit being an idol. so to try and cover up the oda scandal she leaks some pictures of her kissing some people earlier in her career and some mysterious ginger lady....... she also sets up a bomb under one of the agencys cars to really blow everything over.
chuuya is not happy with this. very not happy with this.
but, now she has the freedom to do whatever she wants with her music. so she gose full pop-punk rock<3<3<3<3 and also this is where stupid animatic make their way into my plan. remember the song black sheep cover by lady in schot pilgram, this is one song chuuya makes when she hits it off on her own. she also gets really popular when she moves to pop punk rock
okay dont actually have much else planned with this- just that 2-3 years later dazai publishes a book and its a crazy best seller. talking about the inner workings of the industry and is working on her next books. mabey publishes another in like a year. i am not fully sure timeline-
the dazai leaving the agensy and car bomb really give off breaking up vibes to chuuya til a hose soaked dazai is in front of her door. not even fake rain just blondie(kunikida) got mad at her plan and desided to try soaking the prick. i dont think they immediately start dating again, but they do at some point. and is secret dating ya.
dazai just shows up to some of chuuyas shows? its a running gag that dazai will somehow get on stage and fuck with chuuya. or mess with the lights. or just anything to make a lil ruckus. the media has no clue how dazai keeps ending up at them at the right place and right time.
so! one time 4-5-6 years after dazai leaves the company and a few years of them dating again, dazai sorta.. stops coming to the shows for a little? like seems to be super busy with new book or smth.

then on anniversary chuuya desides to sing one of her old songs. and dazai is sitting in the croud. and is so so much. at the end the light moves over to dazai in the croud as she walks tword the stage. then the lights shut off when shes on the stage. just those two, heres their dialog have thought up, will be little janky not best but im trying. pls change if want.
Ch: "oh so right here-"
D: "Chuuya Nakahara. that first day i met you. that was begrudgingly one of the best days of my life. you were one of the best things in my life. you are one of the best things in my sorry life."
*the sprinklers to the concert all go off*
Ch: "DAZAI?!!?!"
D:"Remember that first arcade date? it was raining so hard we got instantly soaked. got sick for a week with our managers yelling at us. i hated it, but i hated it with you."
D:"or how we snuck out durring that one stop in paris? i was able to get that shitty corner store wine and a day old baguette and you smiled so wide. it was like the sun opened up in front of me."
D:"Mabey instead you could think of that one time, after that accident at that one fan meet. where you slowly unwound and rewound my bandages. kissing each little thing. had to drag you off before you tryed kissing every molecule of my arms."
Ch, wispering: "Osamu.."
D:"Chuuya Nakahara. i am sick of telling lies to the world. im sick of hiding how my eyes can light up hearing your snorts. im sick of hiding the butterflys in my stomach whenever we brush hands on the sidewalk. im sick of not being able to say and shout to the world im yours. so today, no more hiding."
by this point any audience people that stayed are using the flash on their cameras to take pictures, and dazai had bent down to one knee.
D:"Insted, how about we be Chuuya Nakahara-Dazai and Osamu Dazai-Nakahara? from today to death do us part, will you marry me?"

Waiting For The Weekend by San Cisco: a decent song! I liked it more in uni but it's certainly still musically pretty - it's a little trite to write a love song about drugs being personified, but San Cisco can make anything a sexy indie jam (7/10)

Pulaski at Night by Andrew Bird: another top tier banger but also (shout out to artificial ghost radio listeners) this is my NBC hannigram song its so. like the classical instruments and delusional sweetness makes it feel like a candlelit waltz in a blood splattered suit (10/10)

Paint It, Black by The Rolling Stones: truly wild that this is in my likes because its a great song but its like. I don't think I've ever intentionally listened to the rolling stones apart from this? anyway bangers only I always love how dramatic and goth it is (8/10)

Androgynous by The Replacements: this song honestly makes me tear up sometimes, even tho its purely joyful, because it makes me think about how its a song from the 80s that has more kindness and love for genderqueer people than most people do 40 years later. It makes me love being t4t (9/10)

Cinnamon Spider by Jack Off Jill: nothing wrong with an alt/goth song about revenge and guilt with weird voice modulated screaming and creepy whispering (7/10)

Human Fly by The Cramps: I've been listening to a lot of rockabilly/oldhead goth rock recently and I'm loving the cramps! I've only really heard the big hits until recently, but Human Fly is definitely my stand-out favourite, I love songs that are kinda nasty and maggoty or more conceptual or goofy! It makes it stand out to me (10/10)
Favourite line: And baby I won't care / 'Cuz baby I don't scare / 'Cuz I'm a reborn maggot using germ warfare
The Price Is Right Theme Song by Antarctigo Vespucci: I'm a little over listening to indie emo at the moment so I do frequently skip this when it comes on shuffle, but the lyricism is honestly heartbreaking (5/10)
Favourite line: Oh my lord, I wish that I didn't know they'll still make TV shows long after I go.
Big Bird by AJJ: I have thoughts feelings comments and critiques of AJJ, but I can't deny that if you want to be in a dangerously bad mood it hits. it completely hits. and I think its interesting that they make songs about taboo intrusive thoughts and criticisms they have of the world, even if i dont always love the song they make in the end (6/10)
Favourite line: So I bought a knife / I am a knife / I am a Knife Man
Arty Boy by Flight Facilities ft. Emma Louise: a real vibey party song about being inexplicably into the guy taking photos and smoking at the function instead of dancing - to me it reads as a little comphet, or a little bit bisexual, because the way Emma Louise is singing about the ladies is a lil sus (7/10)
Favourite line: And all the girls must be models here, sipping up on margaritas / Twist their bodies so beautiful, making shapes with the music

Okay I finally generated an ask for you!!!!
What is your favourite genre of music? Or if you don't know how to categorize the music you listen to (like me), what is your favourite song? Or band? Or album? Something like that.
ohhhhh #1 question i am categorically incapable of being normal about <3
i typically just define my favorite music as "loud" or "aggressive" or "abrasive" bc most stuff that fits those descriptors will be in my faves regardless of the genre.
a more specific answer is that there are 3 main things i've noticed that will typically make me go apeshit without fail and they are:
1. hardstyle/gabber/industrial hardcore- sorta basskick
2. sickass metal guitar shredding
3. huge dramatic grandiose orchestral
if something has 1 of these i will probably like it, if it has 2 it will be a top fave, and all 3.... well i have yet to find it yet but im sure i will Ascend. here are examples of said top fave combos.
laur covers hardstyle+orchestral and i Cannot Get Enough of his shit man it goes so fucking crazy hard
metal+orchestral is unquestionably ruled by nightwish, but theyre not on bandcamp and i dont feel like finding other links so this one goes to the still-very-fucking-awesome runner-up, POWERWOLF
riikira and rabbitjunk hit metal+hardstyle, though it's less strictly hardstyle and more just general hardcore* electronica. if its got crazy amens its enough who cares. i put the ones that use actual kicks for the sake of illustrating the point here but these tracks are both pretty far from my faves from each lmao
*hardcore referring to hardcore [edm] in this case, even though the genre these belong to is called "digital hardcore", which instead refers to hardcore [punk]. it's a mess out here. did you know theres two completely different things called doomcore where one is derived from metal and the other is derived from hardcore. and you never know which itsd going to be when you click on something in the doomcore tag. im dying squirtle
anyway on the other side of the hardstyle+metal combo is kobaryo [with his alias blaxervant], who's much more about the hardcore side of things and just has the metal as flair, but it is still: the best shit ever
laur also on occasion hits this side of hardstyle+metal becaue he just likes using whatever the fuck instruments
there are of course many other things i love a lot, primary examples being ambient/atmospheric, folk, and anything with a lot of Texture.
im not gonna get into all that but i do have an extended list of faves/recs from the last time i was asked about this and went insane abt it. it took forever to make and my actual recs are not entirely the same as my Faves so im putting it on here too.
i keep these curated to the top of my bandcamp profile so they're the first things that display there. it's a bit old by now and some have since been shuffled out, but it's still like 80% accurate.
as for the actual recs: the angel's message is there because it's my fave brand of intense and chaotic stuff and want it to kill you full force. it already has some tracks up there so im not re-linking it
this one i recommend just because i think it's really interesting and out there and i'm curious what other people think of this sort of stuff. it's also the prime example of what i mean when i talk about Textures in music.
wolfgun is an actual rec for being genuinely just really good music. probably the most objectively cool/platonically enjoyable thing in my library

Some stuff for the 1920s Kiss bank robber fanfic...
Yeah.. I'm slapping this here. @elrohare this is your fault because I looked at the tags and was just like: You know what, that wouldn't be half bad
So essentially, you are going to be either married to P or G. It's going to explore how strong love can go while everything crashes and burns around you. This fanfiction is actually going to be pretty accurate to what gang life at the time was like because my sister (who I'm trying to force to get Tumblr) hyperfixated and now I know a lot about it.

I live in the US and like to make art! This blog is mainly OC and story art, art challenges, and general tumblr interactions. I have a fandom sideblog @themostuselesspotato where I post, you guessed it, fandom stuff (not specifying here, there are far to many). Outside of drawing, I also enjoy reading and most crafts.
I am currently in the process of writing/illustrating a webcomic that I plan to start releasing on webtoon this summer! The characters that I draw here will be part of it :)

I am currently going to school for graphic design, so I know how to and frequently use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Primere Pro both in and out of school. My current profile picture was made on Illustrator for an ongoing branding unit in one of my classes. I also learned how to design, cut, and press T-shirts.
On the topic of school, I also participate in band! I did summer marching band last year, and hopefully will continue to do so until I graduate. I am a percussionist, and my favorite instruments to play are bass drum, vibraphone, and this one specific marimba we have in class (no seriously, I could rant about how nice it sounds for HOURS). During marching band, I played second bass drum, and now snare.

The only video game I've played is minecraft on a kindle fire that I won from selling girl scout cookies at the age of ten. This shitty thing can support like one world at a time and STILL crashes
Once I smashed my knee between a boat and dock at 8am bc I was running off of hot cocoa and 5 hours of sleep and thought my knee was a good cushion for the boat that was coming in at the wrong angle. Don't do that!! Hot cocoa induced decision making is bad! And boats are still very heavy even if they're very slow!!
