I ran into a bit of a dilemma in writing this. I realized that a lot of you probably would be able to get into the role of you were called “GLaDOS”, so here’s the plan. I tried my hardest to not have to use (y/n), but me thinks I’m gonna have to. The actual operating system will be called “GLaDOS”, but you yourself will be called (y/n). You’re replacing Caroline & GLaDOS. There will be a little surprise - since this is my ver of Portal (AKA throwing Portal into Genshin), so you’ll be introduced as (y/n)! If this ruins the experience, please let me know, and I’ll come up with something different! ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀིა
Also! GORE WARNING!!!! THERE WILL BE GORE!! I’ll post a warning right before it starts and a little thing for where it ends!! ☆૮꒰ˊᗜˋ* ꒱ა
Finding out one of your islands is being used for things unknown is not something you want to wake up too.
But unfortunately, that was what Miss. Raiden Ei was subjected to this morning.
The apparent “island” wasn’t even actually an island. It looked like a small plot of land, with it’s only inhabitant being an old bot that resembled a Fontainian Meka - which was still active and very dangerous - and what looked to be some kind of small, one person hut. But when the fishermen who had found this island somehow managed to enter the hut, they found it actually housed a long, winding staircase that plummeted into the earth.
So of course this news was sent straight to Ei. As the Archon, anything that went on in her Nation’s boundaries that wasn’t documented was immediately brought up to her for investigation. In any other case she would have told the Tenryou Commission to take care of it or otherwise, but seeing as this was seemingly more than just a “island descending into the depths” - the fishermen also reported strange noises coming from below - this seemed like it would need to be handled with a more… direct touch.
Gathering her wits, she made a small “exploration team”. This team consisted of:
1. The Traveler, because why wouldn’t it
2. Kujo Sara, her loyalty will be of use
3. Maillardet, she had heard of his helping with the Icewind Suite Meka. His expertise may be needed.
And finally, though unfortunately,
4. Dottore.
As much as she may have detested the Fatui and their methods, she couldn’t deny they got results. And on top of that she had heard of his experiments on that of Ruin Guards, which again may be needed.
After making her plans and sending off letters to all she believed she may need, the Shogun began to wait.

It was dark in the Aperture Science building. Though it wasn’t silent. After word from the singular guard at one of many openings alerted human sightings after… years of nothing, you had to admit something inside you was excited.
It was in human and monster nature to be curious of the unknown. And with all the years since your last… nuisance test subject, you figured that Aperture may have been - more likely was - forgotten by those above.
You rapidly repaired test room after test room, rebuilding the facility to the best of your current abilities. Which wasn’t much a problem, because due to the lack of human error, you were able to keep the place up and running with extreme precision.
It looked just like when Aperture was first built.
With different power sources from every nation, keeping powered on was never an issue. The location that had been found by humans was the one that was powered by the never ending lightning storm that surrounded the nation of Inazuma.
The strikes of Electro traveled through the water into sensors placed on the ocean floor, that changed the pure Electro into actual electricity that was then used to power the specific part of Aperture Science that was stationed below it.
The real facility spanned all across Teyvat.
This was only the beginning.
And your cold heart was more than ready for this coming future.

“I am shocked than and Archon such as yourself has called for me.”
All heads in the room turned to face the masked male.
Kujo immediately summoned her bow and pointed it at the man, while Traveler did the same with his sword. Poor Maillardet only ran behind the armed female, clutching her skirt.
Kujo glanced at him before pushing all attention back on Dottore.
“Please lower your weapons.” Heads whipped to look at the sullen voice of Ei.
“I asked him to be here. Please do not make this experience more difficult than it already may be.” Even she seemed… less than enthused by her actions, but the sudden silence- to soak up her words - was interrupted by the man in question’s laughter.
“And how shocked I was when The Tsaritsa said the Electro Archon herself had asked for my assistance in a ‘pressing matter’! Please, do listen to her and try to not make this difficult?” His grin unwavering. Aether scoffed and Kujo only huffed a small ‘Yes, my Shogun’, before turning to her backseat passenger who hadn’t moved since Dottore’s appearance.
“… What?” The brunette asked. Then he sighed. “Just because I build fighters doesn’t mean I myself can fight, Madame.” He quickly pushed himself off her and dusted both her and him off.
With one more sigh, Ei stood.
“Let us not waste anymore time. There is an odd island off the coast of Amakane Island. On it is a single individual that resembles a Fontainian Meka, and a hut. The odd thing being that this hut holds a staircase that “plummets into the earth”, so say my sources.” She then looked at the Doctor.
“Have your men done anything to this island?” It was a fair question.
It wouldn’t be odd for the Fatui to have a lab or something of the sort in a Nation without the Archon or Nation’s knowledge. In fact, it wouldn’t be the first time. Though - again - Dottore only laughed again.
“No, Miss. Ei. We haven’t any labs that “plummet into the earth”, as you say.” Kujo flinched at him not referring to her Archon by her title, but before she could do anything, she was stopped by a look from said Archon.
“Thank you for being honest,” she hummed, “Then we best be off. Who knows what we shall find and who knows how long we may be.” And she started off.
Following behind her was everyone but Maillardet, who looked confused.
“No equipment? No food provisions?” He glanced a guard who was stationed at a door nearby who shrugged. They both sighed and spoke in unison.
“Vision holders…”

Making their way to Amakane Island was easy enough. Making their way to the unnamed island was also easy.
The Meka that was guarding the small hut was… tall, to say the least.
“It looks vaguely like a Suppression Specialist Mek mixed with an Assault Specialist Mek…” Maillardet muttered, causing Dottore’s head to whip in his direction.
“So nothing you’ve seen before?” He mused, causing the Fontainian to glare at him.
“No.” He huffed, “It isn’t.” Dottore smirked at that answer.
“Then we have an unknown Meka on our hands? Perhaps made by someone outside of Fontaine-“ “No.” Maillardet interrupted.
“It still has hints of Fontainian handiwork. The way you can see some gears and cogs, as well as the fact that it’s utilizing Fontaine gun tech. It very well could be imbued with Arkeh energy. If I had to guess, Ousia.”
Everyone stared at the man, who blushed.
“What I’m trying to say,” he breathed, “Is that while it’s not any Meka I’ve ever seen, it’s definitely made by Fontainian hands. Sir Aether should know how to deal with it effectively.” Dottore stared at the man.
Aether nodded and jumped off the boat they all currently inhabited, and began to attack. The others stayed back and watched as he gracefully dodged attacks and fought back.
Though, in a sudden switch of attack, the bullets firing from the cannon on its arm changed to Electro-Charged pellets of water. The sudden swap shocked Aether and the Mek was able to land a few solid hits on the man.
Getting fed up, Kujo stood to fight, but Ei held her back.
“Those are Electro-Charged attacks.” “I understand Shogun but-“ “No. We’d only make things worse.” With a huff, the tengu sat down, glaring at the Doctor who dared to chuckle.
The fight continued on for a few more minutes before Aether came out triumphant. As the Mek collapsed, a voice rung out from its destroyed body.
“Warn…ing…Intruders At….Inazuma Ent…rance…Access Not Given…Send Warning To GL…a…” Before finally collapsing. Aether stood overtop its corpse before turning to the others.
“Well… I suppose we can continue onward?” Maillardet questioned, only to be met with everyone else in the boat jumping out onto dry land, once more leaving him behind.
The man grumbled as he slowly pulled himself out the boat, soaking his boots and pants.
By the time he made it, everyone but Dottore had made their way into the hut, on their way down.
“After you.” The bluenette grinned, and Maillardet shuddered.
And then they all made their decent.

While the staircase itself was long and narrow, surrounded on all sides by pipes and cogs, what they found at the bottom was truly a sight; though they had been going down for a while.
A large open space - like a courtyard. There was artificial sunlight that streamed in from the panels on the ceiling that simulated a blue sky. False grass and trees swayed in a deceptive breeze. A ‘building’ sat before them with glass doors. It was grey and unassuming, the words “Aperture Science Laboratories” was in big lettering above the doors in big, illuminated lighting.
“Incredible…” Dottore mumbled as the group began to make their way down a path that led from the staircase to the building.
Just then, a sharp creaking noise was heard, and the staircase they had just traversed began to retract. It slowly made its way upward, lifting off the ground. Without flinching, Kujo summoned her bow and knocked an arrow, looking for a place to shoot. Finding a button near the staircase labeled ‘emergency shut down’, she shot, hitting it head on.
“Sudden Power Surge Detected At: Inazuma Docking Station. Rerouting Power Surge To Backup Power Supply’s. Emergency Dock Closing System: Initiated.”
And with that, the stairs shot up, effectively sealing the group inside.
“Sorry, Shogun…” was the only thing that left the now embarrassed Kujo’s lips.
“Worry not, I am sure we’ll find another exit eventually. Let us continue forth.” And onward they went.
Walking down the path, Dottore noted that there were hills far beyond the little building before them, fading off into the distance.
“I wonder how long this facility stretches out?..” He wondered aloud. Maillardet grumbled under his breath.
“Hopefully not that far…”
Entering the building they were met with something none of them - minus Dottore - had experienced.
Fluorescent lighting.
The light outside had at least been convincing, but the buzzing overhead and the slight flickering was enough to get under everyone’s - again, minus Dottore’s - skin.
“Whatever is this awful-“
“Welcome, gentleman, to Aperture Science. Humans, Vision Holders, War-Hero’s, Hybrids — you’re here because we want the best, and you’re it. Now, who’s ready to make some science?”
Weapons were immediately drawn from hearing the unusual voice.
“Who dared cut of The Shogun-“
“Now, you already met one another on the boat ride over, so let me introduce myself. I’m Cave Johnson. I own the place.”
Kujo growled.
“Well, Mr. “Cave Johnson”, I recommend you reveal yourself before we-“
“Mr. Johnson! I believe you’re forgetting something..? Or rather, someone..?”
All heads turned to the wall length screen that turned on with the new voice.
They were met with a cartoonish figure of a person, though their head was replaced by the grey, circle logo of Aperture. They were dressed in a white button up with a black vest overtop. With pure black dress pants and black dress shoes. A snow white lab coat over their shoulders and pure white gloves on their hands. The only hint of color or their person was an orange tie.
Dottore was the first to walk over, pressing a gloved hand to the screen.
“This is all absolutely incredible…” he spoke with a grin.
Nobody noticed how the figure flinched away.
“That eager voice you heard is the lovely (y/n), my assistant. They were added as a safety protocol in case some of you get lost. There are screens all of Aperture where they can keep a close eye on you, to make sure you stay in one piece, or at least as close to one piece as we can get you. Now, rest assured, they have transferred your honorarium to the charitable organization of your choice, isn’t that right, (y/n)?”
The figure on the screen - now known as (y/n) - nodded. Or… nodded as best a 2D model may be able to nod.
“That’s right, Mr. Johnson.”
“Since their addition, they have been the backbone of this facility. Pretty as a postcard too. Sorry fellas, they’re married. To science.”
They watched as you walked over on the “screens”, trotting all the way over to a pair of double doors. With one arm behind you, you held an open palm in the direction of said doors.
“Now, if you just follow them, they’ll take you right to the testing sites.”
With that small tidbit of information, the group reluctantly walked their way over to the doors. Pushing through them, they watched as you faded on the other side. Only for the walls of the hallway surrounding them to light up with bright white light, and for you to be on their right side, walking down the hall on your screens.
“There’s a thousand tests performed everyday here in our enrichment spheres. I can’t personally oversee every single one of them, so these pre-recorded messages’ll cover any questions you might have, and respond to any incidents that may occur in the course of your science adventure!”
You continued walking down the long hall, it slowly dipping further and further into the earth, but not to an alarming degree. A tune played throughout the hall, your head bobbing to the beat.
“Recorded..?” Ei asked. She turned to Kujo and Aether, who both shrugged. She then turned to Maillardet who muttered a quick ‘I’ve heard of it… that’s all…’ then looked away. Finally she looked towards Dottore.
“… Recordings are a rather new technology I’ve discovered. It’s a lost technique from long ago, the act of taking the waves of one’s voice down onto a physical form - such as a disk or a vinyl - and relaying those waves through a certain machine to recreate noises. I’ve been able to get my hands on a few, but to find one of such large scale, with moving images to boot! If I can get my hands on whatever is relaying these recordings…” His voice toned back when he realized he was walking alone.
Turning back he noticed that everyone had stopped behind him, confusion written all over their faces. He groaned, slapping a hand over his eyes before dragging it down the side of his face.
“It refers to something hearing noise, then relaying it at a later time when prompted.” And on they continued. It took a moment to catch up to you, as you had continued on your merry way while they had been stopped.
When they made it, Cave Johnson began speaking again.
“Your test assignments will vary, depending on the manner in which you have bent the world to your will.”
They finally made it to the end of the hall, with double doors greeting them. The doors opened automatically, opening to a large space, akin to an auditorium. Doors led off to different halls, each closed off by double doors that were identical to the ones they just came through. The room was surrounded by the Aperture logo, with small tables set up with small experiments on them. Walking past, Maillardet’s eyes glanced at a potato battery.
The most obvious thing in the room were the blue and yellow lines on the floor that each led to another room. You popped up again on a few overhead screens, though now you were sitting at a desk, typing away. You occasionally took a sip from a grey cup.
“Those of you helping us test the repulsion gel today, just follow the blue lines on the floor. Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA I’ve got some good news and some bad news.”
Lights lit up over the blue lines and your figure changed to a looping recording of you walking on the lines and through the door.
“Injected with praying mantis DNA… why would you ever..?” Maillardet wondered with a grimace, while Dottore only smirked.
“I think me and this Mr. Johnson may have something in common. Anything in the name of science.” His grin made Aether shiver.
“Can we please just move on?” The blonde growled. He turned to the two females, only to find Kujo trying to open another door with Ei beside her.
“What are you doing..?” He asked. The General exhaled before turning back to the group.
“Trying to find another way out. Why are we even listening to this Cave Johnson person? We don’t know who he is, we don’t know where he is, we don’t even know what he looks like.” She walked over to another set of doors and tugged.
“She has a point.” Said Ei. “But in that same breath, we don’t know where we are either. The only thing pushing us forward is the voice of Mr. Johnson.” She placed a hand on the tengu’s shoulder.
“I feel it may be in our best interest to listen for now. When we find an exit, we’ll leave immediately.” Kujo sighed and muttered an apology before turning to the blue lines.
The loop of your walking through the doors still played above as everyone filled through the doors.
“Bad news, we’re postponing those tests indefinitely. Good news is we have a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men.”
“WHAT?!-“ shouted Maillardet. “WHY WOULD YOU EVER-“ A hand was slapped over his mouth as Dottore shushed him.
“I want to hear the rest of this.” he whispered.
“Pick up a rifle and follow the yellow line. You’ll know when the test starts.”
“Oh Mr. Johnson…” Dottore swooned.
“Only a rifle..?” Maillardet whimpered.
Kujo groaned. “Don’t worry about that now. We’re following the blue lines. Not the yellow ones.” Ei grinned slightly at the banter.
“They say great science is built on the shoulder of giants. Not here. At Aperture, we do all our science from scratch. No hand holding.”
“I really do like this man.” Dottore grinned.

Walking along the catwalks was a new feeling. Despite the no longer being really… anywhere… there were still screens nearby that depicted you walking along side the group.
Little to no effort was made to make any kind of conversation. Just the sounds of different kinds of shoes hitting the metal that made up the catwalks.
Though that all changed within a moment.
“Hello..? Hello??”
The sudden voice calling out made everyone come to a stop. Aether brandished his sword and turned to a pair of doors that led off the path they were being led down.
They waited with bated breath as the mechanical whirling of something moving towards them echoed in the open space. The walls themselves seemed to shift as whatever it was made its way to the door…
The doors burst open as a spherical robot with a bright blue eye pushed its way through the doors, pausing when it saw the group.
“Humans..? Humans?? Humans!! Wait… HUMANS?!?!” Its confound shock was extremely apparent, especially with the way it screamed out.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING BACK HERE?!?! I haven’t seen a human since… since… her…” It’s tone grew somber within a second, but then it shook on its… bar??? Grip??? Dottore wanted to know.
“That doesn’t matter, what matters is that you guys are humans! Actual, genuine humans!” It rolled forward on its… whatever and faced them.
“… None of you have the portal gun though.. oh. Do you have those ‘vision’ things? Because I can assure you they won’t be of much help here-”
“And why is that?” Dottore jumped in.
“… Well first off all, it was incredibly rude to cut me off there, secondly, Aperture focused on the sciences that… well, had to do with those who lacked visions. Now don’t get me wrong, there were certainly tests for those who had them but uh… yeah these were mostly for those without.” It nodded.
“I see… now. Do you happen to have a name. Or would you tell us what you are?” The Doctor asked.
“A name..? Right! Oh gosh, I completely forgot about that. Wheatley’s the name and… yeah I don’t know where that was going really. And to answer the other question, I am what’s known as a core, but where are you lot off to?” He introduced. Though before the blue haired doctor could answer, a voice rung out.
“They’re off to test with the repulsion gel, Wheatley.” Your voice ring out, and there you were on the screen, facing them with a hand on your hip. The core seemed the freeze up at your voice, which didn’t go unnoticed.
“Oh! Uh… hey… (y/n)… hehe.” Wheatley seemed uncomfortable at now knowing of your presence, before something seemed to pop into his head.
“But… without the portal gun?”
“You don’t necessarily need a-“
“What’s a portal gun?” Maillardet questioned. You heaved a long sigh and Wheatley seemed to brighten up.
“We’ll only one of, if not the, best things Aperture has ever made, of course! It’s this nifty little gun that allows a person to go from one point, to another in just a snap!.. If I could snap I would to punctuate my point-“
“What he means-“ You interrupted, “Is that it is a special device that allows someone to manipulate space itself by opening up a doorway - otherwise known as a portal - and go from an unreachable point A to unreachable point B… or at the very least a vision-less ‘someone’. We weren’t able to test on those with a vision… or any non-humans with human intelligence; such as Oni from Inazuma or Adepti from Liyue. But even then our knowledge is… limited…”
Wheatley stared at you as you explained the Portal Gun in detail, before scanning the group.
“Oh! There is a vision-less with you!”
Maillardet swallowed nervously.
“Here, you won’t be at a disadvantage if you let us give you the Portal Gun! No need to feel like you may be falling behind… bloody hell you might even be able to go ahead and be advantaged in this situation!” The blue eyed bot explained.
“Wait wait wait… are either of you… alive or uh..” Aether stumbled over his words before you cut him off impatiently.
“Yes we are entirely sentient. Now Wheatley, we can’t make these decisions-“
“I don’t know why you’re complaining. You’ve been moping about for years! All because you ‘don’t have any human testers’ and ‘robots were starting to get the same results’ and ‘humans unpredictability made them unique’ and-“
“That’s enough, you idiot.” “HEY!-“ “Fine. Here’s how this will work, so be quiet and listen.”
Nobody moved.
“We will give your little friend access to The Portal Gun, you complete a couple tests for us, and we help you leave as fast as possible. Deal?”
“Well it doesn’t sound like we get much out of that deal besides our assured exit.” Ei stated, and you groaned.
“You’ll have access to technologies that those above this facility have not had access to for years. Plus, this will practically be free training. Now do we have a deal?” Your impatience was starting to grow clearer and clearer with each passing moment.
“Well-“ “YES!” Maillardet screamed. He didn’t care. This was his chance to truly make a name for himself. If he was able to get this ‘Portal Gun’ outside of the facility, the things he may be able to do with that tech…
Everyone looked at him with shock - though Dottore was more amused than anything - at how fast he agreed.
“Great! Wonderful even! Here, just follow me through here and we’ll get you right as rain, isn’t that right (y/n)?” Wheatley glanced at you as he turned on his rail. If you could, you would’ve rolled your eyes.
They watched as the screen you stood on blinked off, and Wheatley rolled away.
Maillardet followed behind and the others hesitated. Though after that moment of hesitation, they followed behind as well.

Instead of the grey halls and metal walls they had become accustom to, they were met with greenage and foliage on all sides.
Flora of all kinds blossomed around them, tress that reached higher than any of them could see. They all followed behind the humming core, until he suddenly stopped.
“Now, this is a bit awkward, but my rail system ends here. I’m gonna let go, but I need someone to catch me. Do we have any volunteers..?” Wheatley informed and asked. He looked around the group only to make eye contact with Dottore. Who was grinning. Sharp teeth fully on display.
“Uhm… anyone..?” The robot squeaked. Though the only one who moved closer was Dottore.
He sighed, then ‘steeled’ his nerves.
“Alright, I’ll let go on the count of three- NO, ONE! If I do it on three I’ll chicken out and… mmmm I’m talking to much aren’t I? I’m nervous because of the very real possibility that you may drop me. Not to say you look weak or anything, you actually look quite strong. Has anyone ever told you that? I mean, personally I would prefer to be strong if I had a body… On that note I wished they gave us hands. That’d be nice. Or a way to move while not on the rail systems. They can only go so many places and so far, you know? And some of them end in the oddest of places. I found one that ended over a bottomless pit. Isn’t that just insane? I mean-“
Dottore grumbled something under his breath before moving directly below the blabbering bot. Then he cleared his throat, and screamed:
“ONE!”
The high pitched scream Wheatley let out as he fell would’ve been able to convince anyone that he was actually a girl. Dottore’s knees nearly buckled under the sheer weight of the still screaming robot in his arms. After finding his footing, they all stared at Wheatley, who continued to scream for a solid minute before realizing he wasn’t falling anymore.
“AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa…. Oh. You caught me. That’s a first- Anyway, directions! You’re going to want to follow the greyed out path through the green, and you’ll find a platform behind some broken walls and such. I’ll admit, when you get there it’s a bit of a jump, but I have faith in you lot!” He… grinned??? Well it was as close to a grin as a giant metal eyeball could get.
Everyone hummed in response and continued to trek on. Every now and then Dottore or Ei would ask about a type of flower or plant they saw, only for Wheatley to say he’s neither the flower nor plant core. Which led to Dottore asking about cores and Wheatley offering an explanation.
“Cores are… well to put it in perspective think of the basic parts of your personality. Of what makes you, you. Cores are basically that! We work as the pure forms of interests or emotions. Such as the flower core, who only ever talks about flowers. Or the anger core who… uhm… well. He screams? I guess?” Wheatley answered.
“So… what do you embody? Fear? Worry? Rambling?” Dottore asked, only for Wheatley to shout in objection.
“No! Absolutely not! None of those things! In fact, just for that, I don’t think I want to tell you.” He spun his eye around as to not look at the man carried him, causing Dottore to chuckle.
Maillardet suddenly shot ahead, causing everyone to quickly follow after. Wheatley seemed to understand why he shot ahead.
“There she is.” He muttered.
Just behind a wall, there it was.
Placed on a pedestal, vines and flowers grew all around in a mesmerizing pattern. A small hole in the roof let a halo of light fall onto the midsized device.
It was sleek. It was shiny. White and black mixed together in a perfect blend.
“Isn’t it beautiful? The pride of Aperture. What nearly all of our resources went into after its conception.” Wheatley mused. His focus was entirely on the gun in front of them.
Though his previous statement was true, there was a rather large drop from the platform they were on and the platform the Gun was on.
“You can drop me here.” The core suddenly spoke. Dottore looked down with a bit of a scowl.
“Weren’t you the one who screamed like a baby at falling only about four feet?” He asked. Wheatley scoffed.
“That was the make sure you’d catch me… anyway, I know I can survive this fall. I’ve survived worse. Just drop me and then jump down. It’ll be easier that way.” Wheatley’s voice suddenly got very serious. it lost its lively charm and became something more robotic… which was ironic.
The robot started acting more robotic, and they felt uncomfortable about it.
Dottore scoffed, then dropped the core without care. Though this time, Wheatley didn’t make a sound, just a small grunt when he hit the floor.
‘It can physically feel..?’ Dottore wondered.
Then one by one, they jumped down - Aether catching Maillardet - and began their walk over to the Gun after Dottore picked up Wheatley again.
“Hold on.” The blue eyes core suddenly spoke. His eye turned to a wall, and the panels suddenly shifted. A small control panel pushed itself out, presenting itself to the group.
“Plug me in there. I can make sure nothing hostile happens to pass by.” He explained.
“Hostile..?” Ei questioned and Wheatley, suddenly seeming very tired, sighed.
“Yes. Hostile. Just- Don’t worry about it, okay? I promise nothing will happen.” He glanced back at the group with a drooped eye. Dottore placed him on the panel.
Electricity shot out for a moment, then the core settled. He looked back, then without a word, got pulled back into the wall.
“It looks… so mesmerizing…” Maillardet whispered. He was the closest to the Gun. He hesitantly reached a hand out and touched it. Then, he picked it up and got a grip on it.
“I can’t say I’ve ever shot a gun but…” The mechanic pointed the gun at a wall, away from everyone as they watched.
He shot the gun.
And everyone watched as a pure black circle surrounded by blue latched onto the wall.
Everyone stood in shock.
He hesitantly shot right next to the blue and was met with a circle of orange.
Though now he could see through both.
And they reflected the room back to him.
He walked closer and looked through one and saw everyone looking back at him in silent disbelief.
He stuck a hand through the blue portal.
And watched his hand exit the orange.
He fell back in shock and everyone ran closer. They gathered around him, awe and shock written all across their faces.
“This is…” Dottore spoke.
“… A revelation.” Maillardet finished.
“Truly, isn’t it?”
The third voice broke everyone out of their stupor. They watched as the walls fluctuated and moved, opening the room up into another.
It was dark - pitch black, save for the screen that had only your figure on it. You stared at the group before moving your attention to the Portal Gun.
“Such an expensive piece of equipment it is… hopefully you understand what I’m about to do is only in your best interests.”
The screens blipped off, and a hole in the center of the room opened, a disgusting orange red glow emanating from it.
“Preparations Made. Systems Online. Ready For Emergency Long Fall Boot Insertion. Is Moderator Ready?”
“Yes.” Your voice rung out.
“Participant Ready?”
Before anyone could speak, you spoke for them.
“Participant is ready.”
“All Parties Set. Commencing Insertion.”
GORE WARNING! CONTINUE WITH CAUTION!
Metal wires suddenly shot out from the floor, causing everyone who could to summon weapons. Unfortunately, you had a plan for that.
Your wires shot out and gripped the visions on everyone who had one, but tightly wrapped around both Aether and Ei, quickly picking them up and throwing them into walls.
“Stand down, don’t make this harder than it needs to be.” You warned.
The wires quickly wrapped around the ankles of Maillardet, dragging him forward and making him drop the Gun. Kujo rushed forward but a wire wrapped around her and threw her to the ground.
“Last. Warning.” You said.
They were forced to watch as the vision less man was strapped down to a table that came up front the pit by those wires. Buzz saws and bone saws and needles and others rose from the hole in the ground.
Wires tore at his pants and ripped the boots off his struggling body.
“This is going to hurt. A lot. I don’t personally believe in anesthesia, but feel free to pass out.”
And with that, the first saw turned on and immediately buried itself in his leg, blood spraying and his screams ripping themselves out his throat. You could practically hear the tendons snapping as he cried.
It went until it hit bone, where you moved the buzz saw out of his leg with a sickening *squelch*, pressing the saw into his bone and quickly sawing through.
Everyone - of course, minus Dottore - did their best to look away from the scene, but Kujo couldn’t help the whimper that left her lips when some blood spattered on her face.
After bone, the buzz saw when back to work until the odd cut was completed. It was curved, leaving the front of the lower leg untouched, but the back - up to the upper caff - was completely removed, as well as the ankle and leg. Then the process started all over on the next leg.
“Did you know there was once a surgery with a 300% mortality rate? It was an amputation, much like this one, preformed by a Mr. Robert Liston over two hundred years ago. What happened was his patient died of an infection, his assistant also died of an infection after his fingers had been amputated accidentally, and a witness of shock after the knife came too close. Isn’t that interesting?”
Your words echoed through the chamber over the cries of Maillardet who just lost his other lower leg.
The two amputated leg parts were picked up by robotic claws which threw them into the hole below. Then, two odd looking boots were raised from said hole.
The class took the boots apart and began to assemble them on the man’s body. They were a solid white with black base and a weird black wire at rhetorical back.
The screams grew worse - then silent after Maillardet finally passed out due to pain - as the black wire - which was connected to the black base - was drilled into what was left of the bone. The wire was then shifted, then grafted into the muscle and bone.
The white part was reattached to the black, the straps tightening against what was left of the skin, before it was literally melted onto the boot.
The smell of burning skin, bones and blood filled the room.
“See, wasn’t that easy?”
His body was thrown off the table and next to the Gun.
The wires let go of everyone, and Aether landed on the floor, passed out.
GORE OVER GORE OVER! YOU’RE SAFE!
“Why aren’t my abilities working..?” Ei wondered aloud while helping Kujo to her feet.
“You think I wouldn’t recognize a God? News Travels, Beel. We have a few protocols in case a God were to ever wonder into our wonderful facility, but I don’t think I feel like telling you exactly what’s happening to you.”
She quickly looked up above the still open hole in the ground with a glare.
“Stop being a coward and reveal yourself.” She hissed.
“If you insist.”
The lights suddenly turned on, blinding all who were awake.
Dottore stared on in wonder at your body. It resembled that of a human who was suspended from the ceiling. Legs pressed together and arms bound behind them with their back to the floor.
It was the most beautiful piece of machinery he had ever seen.
You slowly turned to face them, the orange light of your eye glaring down at them.
“Let me formally introduce myself, this time without the assistance of a recording. This body you see before you has been dubbed the “Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System”. GLaDOS for short. Though if you prefer it, (y/n) is not off the table.”
“Where… is Wheatley?” Kujo suddenly asked.
“I figured you wouldn’t like him. How shocking you ask. But if you must know… You’re free to reveal yourself.” You mussed.
Silently, the core rode in on a rail in the background on a catwalk. He looks away.
“You’ve payed me back enough, moron. You no longer hold a debt.”
The room was silent.
He had… he betrayed them?
People he didn’t even know?
“… I still feel the itch, you know..?”
Your large head turned to face the blue eyed core.
“I know I’m not the smartest… but I still feel
The itch. It’s like it’s at the back of my brain… and you know what needs to be done to fix it. Please allow me to stay. I won’t… I won’t muck up as bad as I did last time.” His voice was barely above a whisper.
He felt bad and everyone could tell, but you knew that the need to test was able to push back all other thoughts. All other emotions.
It changed people. No matter if they were made of flesh or metal.
And addiction is an addiction. No matter what.
It wouldn’t go away with a bit of cold turkey quitting. That always came with side effects.
The silence was deafening.
If you could smile, you would.
“If you want. I may have final say, but my control over the cores is loose.”
Your gaze turned back to the group who had huddled themselves in a corner, glaring at you.
But you noticed Dottore was staring with less hatred and more… curiosity.
Like a child.
“You understand why I did what I did, don’t you?” Your voice was cold, yet still somehow held some kind of twisted warmth.
“It was to make him stronger. He can survive tests without a hitch now. As soon as he recovers, we’ll be able to continue testing without a hitch. You’ll each be given a relaxation pod while we wait. I’ll be holding up the end of my deal.” You turned away and focused on the screens behind you.
“What… are you..?” Ei asked.
“I thought I answered that question. I am GLaDOS. I am (y/n). I am the current head of Aperture Science.” You turned back to the group.
“And as long as you’re here under my care, I can assure you that we’ll have loads of fun.“
Everyone who was awake was suddenly knocked out by the gas you had been silently filled the room with.
It was time for testing to begin.
I hope this is good! Ima be honest, don’t know if any of the explanations for anything that was explained make sense lol. Also, don’t forget to tell me if you were okay with the whole (y/n) thing! ૮꒰ྀི∩´ ᵕ `∩꒱ྀིა
This is just in case nothing more gets requested: (y/n)’s transformation went like this: human (Cave’s assistant), mascot (first take on GLaDOS-like system, success), GLaDOS (Cave asked for them [they retained their human personality and memories as the mascot] to be GLaDOS while he was dying, like in the cannon)
Now I’m gonna spend some time on Requests! After which I’ll start on Mora!Creator! Again, I hope you enjoyed! ૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა˖⁺‧₊˚
And don’t be scared to request any Automation Reader (Executioner or GLaDOS) okay bye-

Can i request a klaus mikaelson imagine where its the scene where klaus compels stefan to turn it off and stuff and when hes in the middle of compelling elena mentions they have the reader and threatens klaus that they will hurt her and the reader is klauses s/o and when klaus gets her back they have a sweet and fluffy reunion
Yes but like I'mma up the danger level because why not :)
Warnings: Fluff, Klaus about to slaughter everyone,
Being the wife of the most dangerous Original was a danger within it's self but Y/N wore the last name Mikaelson proudly. Y/N was a werewolf that was mated and married to Klaus Mikaelson. He met her over 90 years ago finding her, a little old Omega, the last of her pack that was slaughtered by a group of vampires.
'You need an Alpha and lucky for you I need a wolf.' Klaus told her planning to use her in the sacrifice but Klaus found hisself falling in love so he mate bonded to her and married her.
Y/N followed her husband naturally to Mystic Falls when they heard about the doppelganger and Katherine being there.
"Keep an eye on her or I'll kill you." Klaus tells a vampire he compelled as he was readying to leave the house to go find Elena. Klaus walked over to Y/N who sat on the couch he nuzzled her neck scenting her as she kissed his temple.
"Will you and our little pup be alright?" Klaus asked placing a hand on her small baby bump as two months ago they found out she was pregnant. Werewolf loophole, was what the witch called it then Klaus killed her after confirming it as Klaus said the less people who knew the better.
"I will. Please both you and Rebekah be safe."
"We will little wolf."
Well to say Klaus wasn't good at making people suffer was a lie as Elena stood scared to death watching Klaus moving to compel Stefan. Elena knew it would be risky but it was their only plan to save Stefan after all what was the worst that could happen.
"We have her!" Elena shouted as Klaus stopped and looked at the doppelganger as Stefan let out a breath. Klaus eyes darken as a low growl came from his chest.
"What did you do?"
"We took the werewolf you had and if you don't free Stefan....Damon will hurt her." Elena said trying to sound confident as it happened quickly Stefan was okay and Klaus was gone.
"Warn.....Damon.....Elena." Stefan panted put as Elena sent Damon a text. Klaus arrived home with Rebekah in the growling to find the house a mess and his pregnant wife gone.
"Rebekah remove Elijah's and Kol's daggers. We are going to war." Klaus told Rebekah as she looked at her brother seeing a dark look on his face she hadn't seen in a long time.
"Damon are you alright?" Elena asked walking into the Salvatore house seeing Damon hissing as he cleaned a bite wound on his arm. Stefan looked panicked as he moved to his brother's side worried.
"No. Damn bitch bit me. I thought she was just a wolf but her eyes glowed yellow, I think she is a hybrid. " Damon answered as Elena looked at Stefan worry fell on her face. Caroline was going to say something when there was a knock on the door.
"Elijah." Elena said shocked when she answered seeing the noble vampire standing there with a small smile on his lips.
"May I?"
"Yes come in." Elena said as she let in the Original who stood with his hands in his pockets seeing the bite mark on Damon's arm then listened for Y/N's heartbeat and the child she carried.
"I thought Klaus daggered you?"
"He did as he plans to slaughter you all but I convinced him to allow me to talk to all first." Elijah answered Damon walking as they watched him sit down.
"I want to see the woman carrying our youngest. Allow me that and I'll try to convince Niklaus to heal you." Elijah said as they all looked at one another and agreed. Caroline went upstairs to get Y/N as Elijah watched the others.
"Why are you helping Klaus."
"I'm not. I am trying to keep you alive. I do not know what that wolf is to my brother but you all woken a rage in him I haven't seen in centuries."
"Unless you want a bite too. You should let me go blondie." Elijah heard Y/N say as he looked up seeing Y/N then his eyes fell to her bump. When Klaus undaggered both him and Kol saying he was going to war to get back his pregnant wife, Elijah thought it was a lie so did Kol. Both they saw the rage in Klaus's eyes one they hadn't seen in centuries, one to promise to burn Mystic Falls to the ground if he didn't get Y/N back.
"Hello there." Elijah said as he was suddenly in front of Y/N and gently touched her bump hearing the heartbeat of the baby. Y/N relaxed catching Klaus's scent on Elijah as she knew who he was from the stories Klaus told her.
"Elijah?" Elena said softly snapping Elijah from his thoughts as the urge to get his sister-in-law out of Salvatore hands.
"I'll inform Niklaus that she is alright. And for your sake keep it that way." Elijah said walking out to tell Klaus as Y/N stood there wanting to be with her husband again.
It was a cold night as Y/N sat on a rocking chair rubbing her bump worried as Elijah had yet to return and Damon was getting worst. Y/N glared at Elena as she came down to the livingroom with a blanket in her hands giving it to the wolf.
"Hoping being nice to will earn favor?"
"No....you just look cold." Elena said sitting in a chair seeing how Y/N shielded her baby bump from Elena. There was another knock and Elena got the door as the others came down seeing it was Elijah and he brought someone with him.
"Elijah, you brought someone with you."
"My apologies for being late. Niklaus wouldn't allow me to return unless I brought another, meet my brother Kol." Elijah said stepping inside with Kol following. Elijah's eyes fell to Y/N seeing that she was alright as Kol walked over to the wolf.
"Damon is worst do you have the cure?" Stefan asked as Elijah pulled out a vile filled with Klaus's blood.
"We will give it to you if you hand over Y/N." Elijah said eyes flickered over to Kol seeing his little brother lighting up when he felt the baby bump and hearing the strong heart beat. 'A little warrior.' Elijah thought as his gaze turn back to the group. Elena was about to agree when Damon interrupted her.
"No.....get...out ...of town....then we'll talk." Damon panted out as Elijah stood tall then placing the vile in his suit jacket.
"Then no cure and Niklaus will lay waste to all you know." Elijah said as Kol stood up looking at Elijah having heard everything.
"Elijah please. Don't let Damon die!" Elena said as Elijah looked at her with dark eyes.
"I layed down our terms. Y/N will comes home with us and you get the cure if not then he dies." Elijah said as he waved Kol to follow. They were half way out the door when Elena spoke up.
"Okay! Take her just please let us save Damon."
"Elena...no." Damon groaned as Stefan helped him sit down as Elijah smirked knowing he won.
"Do you really want to risk waiting? I know you won't survive till morning, her bite is as if you bit by Niklaus." Elijah said staring waiting seeing Elena biting her lip, Stefan was debating as Caroline was wiping the sweat from Damon's forehead.
"Look we aren't leaving, Damon is on death's door. Nik is going to kill you all to get his wife back now if you thought he was bad before you hadn't seen Nik wage a war."
"Kol is right. Rebekah at this moment is trying to stop him from killing both Alaric and Matthew." Elijah said hit too close to home for them.
"Miss Bennett isn't safe also or Jeremy. Niklaus will kill them so it is best to give us the wolf as if Rebekah can not calm him....." Elijah said watching them closely while Y/N sat straight proud almost as Elijah saw a fire in her eyes that was pride for Klaus.
"Okay.....take her." Stefan said not caring that Damon was upset as Elijah reached into his jacket pocket for the vile and Kol got Y/N. Elijah waited until he heard that Kol got the pregnant wolf in the car then Elijah placed the vile on the table.
"Lovely doing business with you." Elijah said sounding a bit smug walking out as Elena quickly rush to get the vile to Damon. Y/N was shaking with excitement on seeing her mate again. Y/N barely reached the front door when Klaus tore it open pulling her into a breath taking kiss.
"Nik I am okay. I'm home." Y/N said softly as Klaus buried his face in her neck while she ran her fingers though his dirty blonde curls calming him. Everyone moved inside and Y/N found her self on couch with Klaus having his face buried in her neck.
"How we leave them alone." Elijah says softly ushering Rebekah and Kol out of the room. Y/N hummed softly calming Klaus down as for now his rage had died.
"I'm sorry for not protecting you, love."
"It is alright Nik, I knew what I was getting into by being your mate and wife." Y/N said softly kissing his head as he nuzzled closer not wanting to let go and shifted so she was on him instead.
"Let's stay like this for a moment."
"What ever you need my beloved wolf." Y/N said as Klaus cupped her bump sigh he sighed drowning his self in her scent to calm his self. Elijah checked up on them moments later to find them asleep on couch, with a soft smile Elijah covered them with a blanket. Sitting to watch over them joined by Rebekah and Kol shortly after enjoying the peace while listening to the strong heartbeat of Klaus's child.

“Has Y/N acted weird lately?” Caroline’s high-pitched voice sliced through the silence hanging in the air as she and her friends sat around the Salvatore house’s living room.
It was one of the rare days that they got a break from all of the supernatural and Originals’ drama, but despite that not the entire group was here, for they were lacking one member:
Y/N Y/L/N.
“She’s always acting weird,” Damon remarked, drawling his words out before grabbing his beer and taking a sip.
“Damon,” Elena scolded, lightly hitting his bicep, while Stefan just rolled his eyes.
“Seriously?” Caroline said to Damon before scoffing and crossing her arms, turning to Bonnie. “Isn’t she acting weird? She’s acting weird!”
Bonnie smiled, amused by her friend’s eagerness, but nonetheless found some truth in her words. “Y/N has been acting a little off, lately,” she calmly agreed.
“Where is she even?” Stefan wondered, realizing they hadn’t heard from her.
“How about we go find out?” Elena suggested, smiling and standing up.
The rest followed suit . . . except for Damon. He made a loud, dramatized groan and Elena and Stefan had to drag him to his feet.
Caroline was able to track Y/N through “Find My Friends” and they found that she was in a park. Heading over there, they looked around for their friend, but saw an unexpected sight.
Y/N was accompanied by none other than Rebekah Mikaelson. The group only saw the Y/N’s face and Rebekah’s back, but spotted Y/N rolling her eyes before Rebekah pulled her close.
Caroline gasped and said, at the same time as Elena, “Is she hurting her?!”
Damon reacted quickly, grabbing a stick and hurtling it at the blonde’s back. Y/N’s eyes widened when she saw the incoming threat and, before she could remember that Rebekah was a Vampire and could heel, she shoved her girlfriend out of the way, the stick stabbing her human stomach.
Everyone reacted quickly. The group ran over while Rebekah caught Y/N, lowering her to the ground. “What the bloody hell?” Rebekah yelled, an arm wrapped around her gasping girl.
“We thought you were hurting her!” Caroline cried, tearing up at the sight of her friend in pain. “You grabbed her and yanked her!”
“We were goofing around . . . on a date,” Y/N mumbled, eyes fluttering.
There was no time for Y/N’s friends to be shocked by this (though there was plenty of time later). They rushed to her side.
“Stay awake, love,” Rebekah murmured to her, hugging her close and glaring at the eldest Salvatore who was the cause of this.
Y/N mumbled something incompetent before Elena unexpectedly grabbed the stick and, without warning, pulled it out of her stomach, making Y/N let out a shattering scream.
Rebekah’s grip got tighter and they all glared at Elena. “Sorry! Thought it’d be better if she wasn’t anticipating it,” Elena defended sheepishly.
The Original rolled her eyes and then bit her wrist, offering it to Y/N who, after a moments’ hesitation, accepted it. As she drank, her wound slowly healed until all that was left was a thin scar where the wood had pierced her.
“Am I taking her back to your house?” Rebekah asked the brothers, though the question was more pointed at Stefan, who nodded.
Y/N let herself be lifted into her girlfriend’s arms and before she knew it - they were Vampire speeding away.
By the time the group got back to the house, Rebekah was sitting with Y/N on the couch who had fallen asleep, tired after what had happened.
“So,” Stefan began as they entered the living room, only to be interrupted by Caroline.
“You’re dating Y/N?!” Caroline cut straight to the point.
Rebekah glared at her to lower her voice so as to not wake the sleeping human, but nodded. “Yes, I am,” she confirmed curtly.
Bonnie walked forward. “Well, I’m very happy for you,” she said, before the positive gleam in her eyes dropped to more seriousness. “But don’t hurt her.”
Rebekah just smiled, appreciating the witch’s care over her friend. “I wouldn’t dream of it, Bennett,” she assured the younger woman, before returning her attention to Y/N, playing with her hair while the Mystic Falls gang continued their days.

I am doing a series :D I am starting with three parts and see from there. This will be an soulmates AU and moving a bit slower from main cannon time line so enjoy and tell me what you think.
Title- Centuries of waiting
Pairings- Elijah Mikaelson x Petite!Black!Reader, Caroline Forbes x Klaus Mikaelson x Stefan Salvatore, Rebekah Mikaelson x Marcel Gerard
Warnings: Fluff, violence, human auction, future smut
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soulmates was something vampires held in high regard since it was rare for a vampire to have a soulmate but once found a vampire protected their soulmate with their life. But it was even rarer for a vampire's soulmate to also be a vampire. While some vampires took a soulmate and used them as blood bags because of this there was a hand full of known vampire soulmates due to so many soulmates were being drained and killed.
"Marcel? What do you want?" Rebekah asked crossing her arms still angry with her soulmate. Marcel smiled at Rebekah as he had came to ask help with an auction being held by the second oldest vampire society in New Orleans.
"Need to talk with Klaus. What's up with Elijah?" Marcel asked noticing Elijah pacing seemly angry as Caroline was watching worried for the older vampire. Caroline and Elijah had grown close after learning she was Klaus's soulmate and Elijah stood by helping her work through it.
"He caught the scent of his soulmate and we don't know where they are." Rebekah answered Marcel as Elijah sat down finally trying to calm down and Caroline walked up rubbing his shoulders understanding how he felt. Caroline couldn't imagine what she would do if she couldn't find Stefan or Klaus and Elijah reached up kissing her hand muttering a thank you.
"Ah Marcel, what brings you by?" Klaus asked with a smirk getting Elijah's and Caroline's attention.
"There is some kind of elite group of vampires throwing an auction. Rumor is that they have vampire soulmates." Marcel tells Klaus this made the older vampires growl deeply as the Original family held soulmates highly and they agreed to help. Marcel was glad that the Originals were helping but Elijah seemed even more agitated while Hayley was on his arm trying to calm him. They learned that the Society of vampires were made up of vampires that broke off from the Strix when Tristan took over and vampires from Klaus's Sired line and Rebekah's. The Elite is what they called themselves believe they were better than most vampires as they barely went out in the sun and took to the enjoyment being a vampire.
"Ladies and gentlemen please head to the ballroom as the Auction is about to start. We two soulmates up for auction this time around." The Auctioneer said with a smirk as the auction began.
"First up for auction. Is the soulmate of a Original." The Auctioneer said as a suited man came walking out pulling a chain that was attached to a collar that was around your neck. Elijah's jaw tighten watching the man pulled a sheet off of your body leaving you bare, showing off your soft mocha skin, you were shaking clearly scared as Elijah felt his anger flare as thought of these men touching you, his soulmate.
"90 million." Elijah said out biding everyone as Hayley was staring at him in shock. Elijah didn't care about the stares as he was focused on you and your eyes met his while the Auctioneer called Elijah as the winner. With a nod from Klaus, Elijah went to get you ignoring that Hayley followed him.
"Here is your...." Elijah didn't give the vampire a chance to say a word as he snapped the vampire's neck then took off his coat. You looked up at Elijah as he placed his coat over your shoulders then was taken back when you threw your arms around him. Elijah soften as he gently ran his fingers through your hair hushing you softly when you began to sob.
"Th...th..thank you...for finally...finding me." You sobbed hiccupped as Elijah cupped your face realizing you knew he was your soulmate. Elijah wiped your tears away and gently kissed you sealing the bond. You pulled away gasping as you looked up at Elijah having seen every memory and got a peek behind the red door. You knew he saw your memories but you were focused on how Elijah was feeling.
"Baby?" Elijah questioned worried you didn't want him now you knew just what he was and run. You surprised your soulmate by hugging him tightly.
"I still want you, Elijah.... You aren't a monster because you saved me." You tell Elijah reaching up cupping his face squeaking when he picked you up sitting you on his forearm. Elijah's eyes soften smiling as you placed your forehead on his feeling the adoration he held for you threw the bond. Elijah rubbed his nose against yours and Elijah smiled more brightly hearing your giggles as it was music to his ears.
"Elijah? Did you......" Hayley trailed off seeing Elijah holding you with you wearing his coat as he shift your weight to hold you bridal style so you could lay your head on his shoulder.
"Let's go Hayley. I want to get her out of here." Elijah said walking pass the female hybrid as she was taken back how Elijah looked at you in adoration as if you were his whole world. You hadn't realized how tired you were as you fell asleep as for the first time in a long time you felt safe and loved. Elijah walked down the hall with Hayley following after as in another room there was screams and out came a bloody Klaus.
"Your soulmate Elijah?" Stefan asked as Caroline was cleaning Klaus's face as Elijah noticed most of the Elite had escaped.
"Yes, her name is Y/N L/N." Elijah answered Stefan with a soft smile on his face looking at you as you were snored softly.
"Good let's get going Marcel is compelling the other soulmate to forget about all this." Klaus said already planning deaths when he saw you in Elijah's arms and knew you were Elijah's soulmate.
You woke surprised that you clean and in a botton up and saw you were in a bed then turned to see Elijah asleep next to you. You remember what happen as joy and adoration swelled in your chest reaching over gently tracing his face still amazed he was yours.
"Sleep well baby?" Elijah asked voice heavy with sleep making you jump as he surprised you. You smiled seeing he hadn't open his eyes yet and he felt you move closer and Elijah wrapped his arms around you.
"Yes Elijah." You tell him moving to kiss under his jaw but Elijah moved his head catching your lips in a heated kiss humming in delight when you kiss back. A whimper slipped pass your lips feeling Elijah's fingers traced up your inner thigh as his mouth moved to your neck. You gripped his shirt spead your legs a bit shivering hearing his growl with how willing you were under him.
"Elijah, are you awake?" Hayley asked knocking on the door as Elijah groaned against your neck then moved to get off of you. Elijah found it cute that you followed after him by holding the back of his shirt as whispers of 'I love you.' bounced back and forth in the bond. Hayley stared jealousy filling her chest as you three headed to the den.
"So this so call Elite had Elijah's soulmate?" Marcel asked watching Elijah pulled you into his lap as he found it hard to not touch you or hold you while Caroline and Rebekah found it adorable.
"It seems so."
"She is a small one, Elijah. Must be nice as soulmates are made to be perfect for one another." Klaus teased Elijah confusing you but snuggled closer to Elijah as he chuckled rubbing your back. You knew Elijah was perfect as Klaus said but it never really entered your mind as you tuned them out. They were talking about the Elite and how they could be a threat.
"Baby, wake up. I'm taking you clothes shopping." Elijah woke you gently as you hadn't realized you fell asleep and nodded getting up and borrowed some clothes from Caroline and Rebekah. Elijah was spoiling you as you noticed when you stopped getting underwear first. Elijah let you get the fancy French lingerie, lovely silks, soft colored lace, and the softest cotton money could buy. Elijah bought you whatever you wanted no questions asked as you noted he never looked at the price tag and Elijah noted you loved hoodies and soft pajama pants. When it came for soap and hair products Elijah got you the expensive stuff the ones you couldn't buy before. You told Elijah he didn't have to spend so much on you but was sure to tell him you were happy and Elijah told you he enjoyed spoiling you and those he loved as Caroline and Rebekah knew all too well.
"You sure you got her enough things?" Kol teased Elijah as you were putting things away in Elijah's room as he told you it was your room too.
"She needed clothes and bath products."
"Yet the French lingerie? Elijah, I know that was you being selfish." Kol teased smirking as Elijah's cheeks burned with blush. Elijah coughed looking away and looked seeing you come out of the bathroom dressed in pajama pants and his shirt but Elijah saw the peek of lace on the bra you wore.
"I just bought whatever she wanted Kol." Elijah said walking into the room when you called for Elijah and Kol smirked shaking his head leaving. You asked for Elijah's help with your hair which he was more than happy to help you put two french braids in your hair then put the end of the braids into small buns pinning them in place.
"There we are my sweet love." Elijah whispered as you leaned your head back tugging on his tie for a kiss. It was nice as Elijah now knew how his siblings felt having a soulmate and he was never letting you go.
Damon Salvatore Imagine Requested - Forever
Tumblr media
* I DON’T OWN ANY GIFS POSTED* *CREDIT TO GIF OWNERS*
It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted any imagines!  I’m sorry for being MIA a lot, but I appreciate all of my followers.  Anyway, this was a request from my Wattpad!  Let me know what you guys think, and I hope you all enjoy it! Xx.
Pairing: Damon Salvatore x Reader
Warnings: Mild language and mentions of sex.  It’s also a little steamy in the beginning.
Word Count: 3324
_______________________________________________
His hands tangled in your hair, pulling slightly. You let out a low moan as his lips connected with your exposed neck. His tongue drew circles on your sensitive skin, and you were sure there was going to be a bright blue bruise when he was done. You let your fingertips trail down his toned chest feeling every muscle ripple under your touch. His right hand moved to cup your breast over your bra, earning another moan. He smirked against your neck and let out a breathy chuckle. The way his breath brushed over your skin sent shivers down your spine. Your eyes were closed in complete bliss when the front door flew open.
"Hey, Damon, I was curious if – OH MY GOD!" Caroline threw her hands over her eyes. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know you had company."
You scrambled out from under Damon's wandering hands and pulled your shirt over your head. Standing up, you did your best to fix your hair, even though you knew it looked like a mess. Damon huffed,
"It's fine, Caroline. We were just catching up. It's been a while since I've last seen Y/N."
He smirked at you sending your stomach into a fit of butterflies. You could feel the blush creeping up your cheeks when he took your hand in his. You gave Caroline a curt nod as Damon led you out the door and to your car. As you fumbled around your purse for your keys, Damon's hands began to wander your body again. You giggled as he traced the curves of your body and then started to twirl a strand of your hair around his pointer finger.
"So," he said, "same time tomorrow? And, hopefully, we won't be disturbed."
You rolled your eyes at him, but leaned in and looked up through your eyelashes.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world."
He smirked at you before planting a hungry kiss on your lips. You gave his chest a little pat, then got into your car and drove off watching his figure disappear in your rearview mirror.
You and Damon go way back. Back in 1895, you were considered the best seamstress in Mystic Falls, Virginia. Men and women alike would seek you out to patch up pants or create custom made clothes. Damon sought you out one day to make him a custom suit, and that's when your friends with benefits relationship began. It started out innocent. He would come back week after week to see you. At first, he would bring in shirts that needed new buttons or a pair of pants that needed to be tailored. But, soon, he would just start showing up. There was always a strong sexual tension between the two of you, and one day, in the small closet in your shop, you acted upon it. The rest was history. The two of you laid some ground rules:
1) No sex during work hours; only in the evening when no one will suspect anything.
2) No forms of PDA allowed including, but not limited to: hand-holding, kissing, hugging, and the like.
3) No pet names unless during sex.
And lastly
4) No feelings!
Your friends with benefits relationship lasted for years. It wasn't until the 1920s that things began to change. Stefan went through his ripper phase, taking Damon away from you. He left Mystic Falls, went to war, and off after Stefan, and you went to New York City. You went years thinking that he died in the war. That was until, fast forward to the present, you found yourself back in Mystic Falls and staring down the back of your beloved Damon at the old bar.
After that meet up, the two of you picked up right where you left off. For months, Damon would call you when he craved you and vice versa. At one point, you gave him a spare key to your house for late-night meet-ups. The rules were relatively the same, but somewhere along the line, you couldn't pinpoint exactly when it happened, you began to feel something more. When he would kiss you goodnight, your dead heart would jump alive. When he called you "love" or "baby girl," your whole body would tingle. There was never supposed to be feelings, and you kicked yourself for breaking the most important rule. You tried to push them away, but the harder you pushed, the stronger they grew. One night, after receiving a text from him, you were forced to face your feelings.
You stared at yourself in the mirror, taking in your clothes and slumped shoulders. Your throat already felt tight with the thought of what you had to do.
"Fuck," you said to your reflection.
You did one last once over before exiting your house and driving to the Salvatore Boarding House.
The house was dark, as it usually was during your late meet-ups. You entered the house like normal and went to Damon's room. Your footsteps and shallow breaths seemed to echo off the tall walls. You pushed his door open, and he was perched in his bed, shirtless and smirking, like usual. Instead of joining him, you stood in the doorway. Tears were already threatening to spill over, but you did your best to swallow them back. Damon could tell something was wrong.
"Y/N, are you okay?"
"No, Damon," you said, "I can't do this anymore."
You cleared your throat as his eyebrows arched upward.
"I don't want to do this anymore."
"W-why? If you don't mind me asking."
"I'm just," you stopped and took a slow but shaky breath, "I want something more with my life, Damon. We can be just friends, and that's it."
Damon's mouth fell slightly agape. He took a breath in to speak, but you cut him off.
"Just friends, Damon. Please."
His dark eyes were void of emotion as they bore into yours. He was quiet for a beat before sighing and simply saying,
"Okay."
You gave him a nod, then turned and walked out. As soon as you were walking down the long hallway, you let the tears fall. You knew the house like the back of your hand, so being unable to see where you were going was not a problem. It became an issue when you ran into a solid object you soon realized was Stefan. His hands gripped your arms, preventing you from falling. You kept your head down as you tried to wipe the sadness from your face.
"Woah, woah, woah. Hey, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, Stefan," you said, doing your best to wiggle out of his hold, "I just need to go."
His feet were planted, and his hands did not slack.
"I'm not gonna just let you run out of my house crying. Come sit with me and have a drink."
You hesitated, staring at his empathetic smile before finally giving in. His smile widened as he led you to the sitting room. You and Stefan talked about everything and nothing all while drowning your feelings in bourbon. He told you what his favorite movie was, and you told him why you had a fear of flying. He detailed his darkest moments during the 1920s when he turned into The Ripper. You told him about life in the city and your affair with the notorious mob boss Lucky Luciano.
"You did not have an affair with Lucky Luciano."
"I'm telling you, I did! He was so tall and looked so good in those pinstripe suits. He bought me anything I wanted. Jewelry, purses, clothes, shoes, anything. And, he was a great kisser."
He just laughed at you before pouring another drink. Bottle after bottle was emptied while the two of you laughed throughout the night. At some time during the early morning hours, you ran out of liquor. Stefan had his arm draped over the back of the couch, and your head found residence on his shoulder. You were drunk, but you didn't care. It felt nice to be cuddled up next to someone fully clothed for a change. You nuzzled into Stefan's neck.
"You know, we've never actually bonded like this."
"Well," he said, already chuckling, "you were always too busy fucking my brother to notice me, so..."
You punched his arm lightly and threw your head back laughing.
"Oh, shut up!"
Your eyes met his and held his stare. His eyes were much softer than Damon's, and they looked at you with such patience rather than lust.
"I like this, though."
Your eyes darted down to his lips before finding his eyes again.
"I like you, Stefan."
He let out a light laugh,
"You're drunk, Y/N."
"No, seriously," you said a little too quickly, "I want to do this again."
"Me too."
The two of you held the other's gaze for a bit longer before you started to lean your head toward his. You knew that the liquor was making you more confident than usual, but you didn't stop. When he leaned in too, you knew for sure you wanted to kiss him. Your eyes shut just as his lips landed on yours. It was slow and sensual. His hand held the back of your head, deepening the kiss just slightly. It was nice, but somewhere in the back of your mind, you couldn't help but compare it to kissing Damon.
The sound of someone clearing their throat pulled you back to reality. You pushed yourself away from Stefan and brushed your fingers through your hair. When you looked up to see Damon's hard stare on you, your cheeks grew warm. Every feature on his face was more rigid than usual. His jaw was clenched, and his eyes were as dark as his jet-black hair. Without dropping your gaze, he grabbed one of the empty bottles and grunted.
"I see you two had a good night."
Neither Stefan nor you said anything in return. Instead, you stood and grabbed your bag, avoiding Damon's stare.
"I should get going. Thanks for last night, Stefan."
He didn't say anything back as you rushed out of the house. Even as you were getting into your car, you could feel Damon's eyes on you. You ignored the heavy feeling in your chest as you drove off.
Damon moved on faster than you expected after that encounter. When you went over to see Stefan, Damon would always be wearing a different girl on his arm. You tried not to care, but your heart consistently betrayed you. It was only a few weeks after you and Stefan shared that kiss before he asked you to be his girlfriend. He took you to dinner, and just before he dropped you off at home, he popped the question. You said, "Yes," even though you felt your heart was not truly in it.
Much to your surprise, Stefan was the perfect boyfriend. He treated you like a Queen and took you on dates. He held your hand, opened doors for you, and brushed stray hairs out of your face.  His kisses were so sweet and innocent, something you never experienced before. He was everything you should have wanted.
About two months after you started dating, Stefan told you he loved you. He took you to a beautiful grove for a picnic date. It was so well planned. The flowers were in bloom, decorating your surroundings in a sea of vibrant blues and yellows. He had all your favorite foods neatly wrapped in cling wrap, and your favorite drink chilled to just the right temperature. The date was picture-perfect, but you could feel his energy was off. When he began to fidget with the basket, you started to feel sick. You knew what was coming.
"I know it's only been two months, but I've known you for years. I feel so comfortable around you, Y/N, and I feel like it's the right time to tell you how I really feel."
His eyes were so sincere when he took your hands in his.
"I love you, Y/N."
You looked down, feeling like you were going to throw up right there.
"Stefan."
The silence was deafening. But, when you didn't say anything else, Stefan let go of your hands and sighed in defeat.
"It's Damon, isn't it?"
"Stefan, please-"
"You're in love with him, aren't you?"
You kept your eyes trained on the checkered blanket, too afraid to look up at him.
"You always have been."
A small sob escaped your mouth as tears poured out of you. Through hazy vision, you looked at Stefan.
"I'm so sorry, Stefan. I really tried to move past him. I tried to forget him, but my heart just won't seem to let me. I don't know what I have to do to let him go."
Stefan's eyebrows furrowed, and his face softened at your broken figure.
"It's okay, Y/N," he said, pulling you into a tight embrace, "I always knew. Don't be sorry for how you truly feel."
His hand smoothed down your disheveled hair as you continued to cry into his chest.
"I'll love you whether you're my girlfriend or just my friend. Do you hear me?"
He moved your frail body away just enough to make eye contact.
"I just want you to be happy, with or without me."
Your bottom lip trembled at his reassuring words.
"Thank you, Stefan," you said, nearly choking on each syllable.
He just nodded before pulling you back into his arms. He held you like that until your sobs turned into shaky breaths. When he thought you were calm enough, he separated your body from his and smiled playfully.
"So, I'm guessing we're breaking up, right?"
The two of you both chuckled, and you shoved his arm before nodding. You finished eating and, although you were no longer a couple, you still enjoyed your evening with Stefan. After cleaning up the picnic, he drove you home.
When he pulled up in front of your dark house, you turned to him.
"Thank you for everything."
"You know I'll always be here for you, Y/N."
You reached over the center console to pull him into a hug before exiting the vehicle. He waited for you to get inside then honked once as a "Goodbye." You waved to him before shutting the door. As soon as you locked the door, your living room lamp switched on. You stumbled back, nearly fainting until your eyes settled on the familiar figure sitting on your couch. Even though you urged your body not to react, your stomach erupted with butterflies.
"How the hell did you get in here?" You said, trying to keep your voice steady.
Damon pulled out a key ring with a single key dangling from it. He twirled it around his finger with a smirk playing on his lips.
"Spare key, remember? Once upon a time, I would have to let myself in late at night because you were too lazy to get out of bed."
You rolled your eyes and groaned.
"Damon, I thought we agreed on not talking about that?"
He stood up, and you could tell something was off. His usual hard features softened, and he wasn't looking you in your eyes.
"Yeah," he said, balling his fists at his sides, "but I didn't know we agreed on not talking at all."
You stayed silent. His eyes finally landed on you, and it felt like a blow to your chest. Betrayal and pain played so clearly on his face.
"When were you going to tell me you were dating Stefan?"
You scoffed at him, unable to control your annoyance.
"I didn't think I needed to check-in with you."
"I'm your friend, Y/N! Usually, friends share that type of information."
Your jaw dropped in disbelief. All the emotions you had kept bottled up, your anger and hate toward him after you left that night, bubbled to the surface.
"You didn't inform me about every girl you fucked after me, and there were a lot! I really didn't see it as a big deal, Damon."
He stayed silent that time. The tension was almost palpable as the two of you stood there. His eyes were set on you, but you couldn't bring yours to meet his. You knew if you did, you'd break, and you had enough crying for one night.
"Stefan and I broke up anyway," you finally said, barely above a whisper.
You could hear the small breath Damon took in at your comment.
"You did? Why?"
You swallowed hard and tried to straighten your posture.
"He said he loved me, and I couldn't say it back."
"Why?" Damon said, voice low and gruff.
You could feel your knees weaken from his rasp. Even without using his hands, he had this type of effect on you. You groaned, mostly from annoyance at yourself.
"Damon, why did you come here tonight? I know it wasn't to get the juicy details about my break up."
He took a step toward you.
"Answer my question. Why couldn't you say it back?"
"Because I love someone else!" You said, eyes finally shooting up to meet his.
He was close enough to touch, and you had to refrain from reaching your hand out.
"Now," you said, "you have to answer my question. Why are you really here, Damon?"
His eyes raked over your body, sending chills coursing through you. When his eyes finally met yours again, you felt like you couldn't breathe.
"I miss you."
Your heart dropped. After all this time, he still only wanted you for pleasure, and nothing more. You let out an incredulous laugh and shook your head. You went to walk away, but he grabbed your hand and stopped you.
"And I want more this time. I want more than just sex, Y/N," he said to your back.
You slowly turned to face him again, ready to listen. He ran his hands through his already messy hair and sighed.
"I want to know your favorite color and your favorite novel. I want to know why you can't sleep without a fan on, and why you're scared of flying."
His eyes were pleading as they held your gaze.
"Dammit, Y/N, I want to know all about New York City in the 20s, and how good of a kisser Lucky Luciano was!"
You opened your mouth to speak, but you couldn't form a sentence. For a moment, you just stared at him in shock.
"You were listening that night?"
He dropped his gaze to stare at your dainty feet.
"I want to talk to you like that, and kiss you when we can't talk anymore."
Silence fell between the two of you. You kept your eyes on him, waiting patiently for him to look at you. When he finally did, his normally sharp stare was so gentle.
"Who do you love, Y/N?"
"Damon-"
"Who do you love?"
Your whole body was on fire under his soft stare. You looked from his eyes to his lips and back, desperately wanting to feel his lips on you again. Every nerve in your body was on alert as you felt his large hands carefully grab yours. You took in a short breath to muster up the strength to speak.
"You, Damon."
A smile of relief took over his face before he moved his hands to the sides of your face, and pulled you into a kiss. Your body tensed at first but soon melted into his touch. You trailed your hands up his arms until they found the back of his neck. Your nails dug into his flesh as you held onto him, afraid that he would disappear if you didn't. His lips moved so smoothly against yours.  When he finally pulled away, you were breathless.
"I love you so much, Y/N. I always have, and I always will."
"I love you too, Damon. Forever."
He smiled before planting a sweet kiss on your nose.
"Forever, Y/N."
For @klarolinefallbingo “Bonfire”
Eyes on Fire
The back to school bonfire will bring together two very unlikely seniors. But maybe these mates have more in common than first thought.
 Monday
“But our mascot is the timber wolf, it makes perfect sense to design the bonfire that way,” Caroline insisted, hands on hips. He didn’t respond immediately, just curved those annoyingly crimson lips into a knowing smile.
Ass.
Klaus Mikaelson, a fellow senior and semi-gifted artist (in her opinion), had been seconded by the planning committee to create the bonfire design. If Caroline had her way he’d have no role at all but she was outvoted nine to one.
Traitors.
Caroline lived to plan school events. Given she’d been doing it since freshman year, they were second nature to her.  The school bonfire was a significant part of the back to school festivities and, given it was their senior year, Caroline knew it had to be her most perfect yet.
But now Klaus Mikaelson, of all people, was invading her territory and, worse than that, challenging her ideas in front of the entire committee.
It also didn’t help that her life-altering summer was still very much playing on her mind either. One minute she was Caroline Forbes, class president and almost senior, and the next she was a seventeen year-old vampire.
A Mystic Falls resident all her life, Caroline had heard the stories of strange happenings, not to mention the abnormal amount of animal attacks reported. But she found it was best left alone which was why she was so heavily focused on school, well until she transitioned.
It had taken the entire summer just to control her bloodlust with the help of her friends. But if there was anything Caroline hated, it was losing control and this bonfire was supposed to be her triumphant return to normal life.
Although, she was starting to wonder what normal actually meant and if it even applied to her life anymore. Meanwhile, this bonfire stealer was not helping matters.
“Might I suggest a Trojan horse instead?” He flashed a stray dimple and she swore the female committee members all swooned in unison.
“But what does that symbolise in this context?”
“The ancient Greeks...”
“I don’t need a history lesson,” she growled, thinking her impressive GPA spoke for itself.
“It signifies rivalry.”
“Oh, you mean the panthers?” One of the committee members offered.
“Uh, yes,” he said unconvincingly. Caroline fought the urge to roll her eyes. The fact someone so disinterested in football was in charge of design was ridiculous. “The Trojan horse represents something intended to undermine or secretly overthrow an enemy. By burning it we are sending a message to our opponents, the, uh, pirates was it?”
“That’s brilliant!” Another member interrupted and the rest followed suit. Obviously they didn’t care about his lack of experience.
“Well, I wouldn’t exactly say that,” Caroline muttered.
Before she knew it a vote was held and they’d all dispersed leaving only her and the artist extraordinaire alone. Standing on the far side of the room, hands in jean pockets, he raised his eyebrows in her direction tellingly almost as if to say “well?”
Caroline was trying to process a myriad of emotions. No doubt due to her recent supernatural status, which was hardly unusual, but he seemed to bring something more out of her although she couldn’t quite pinpoint what.
She was also trying to ignore just how blue his eyes looked in that navy henley and the way his blonde hair curled teasingly over his ears. She shook her head determined to regain some, if not all, semblance of composure.
“You are insufferable, has anyone ever told you that?”
“Why thank you, love, although not the first time I’ve heard it,” he smirked. “You’re incredibly uptight, has anyone ever told you that?”
“Why are you doing this?” She asked folded her arms across her chest while purposely avoiding his comment.
“Doing what exactly?” He asked, making his way toward her slowly. Caroline was trying to ignore just how good he smelled but it was becoming increasingly difficult.
“You don’t even like football and, last time I checked, school activities in general.”
The Mikaelson family had appeared in Mystic Falls a year earlier. Given the mystery surrounding their arrival and their good looks they’d caused quite the stir in small town Virginia. Caroline had no intention of fawning over Klaus the tortured artist and had kept her distance for the most part.
Until now.
Before she knew it, his mouth was now only mere inches from hers and she was fast losing all sense and willpower.
“Who says I don’t have school spirit?” His husky tone was not lost on Caroline. “In fact, I can be very spirited if necessary, love.”
She acted quickly, placing her hands on his chest and pushing him away albeit with shaky hands. Obviously the hardened vampire inside had decided to take an inopportune break.
“You might have won this round but…”
“Not the war,” he finished, respecting the space between them. Although, she wasn’t sure for how long given the way his eyes were perusing her so intimately. “How fitting given our Trojan theme.”
“Game on, Mikaelson.” Caroline warned, turning on her heel, desperate to increase the space between them.
It wasn’t fear.
No. It was something so much more.
Saturday
High school culture was always so damn predictable.
Klaus watched on as his bonfire roared to life and the loud cheers from jocks and cheerleaders alike sounded out. Most were wasted and probably didn’t even fully appreciate the effort.
It was some of his best work and seemed a shame to destroy but he was playing a part. His eyes flickered over to the girl in question. Her denim jacket hugged her chest, the light from the fire only illuminating her blonde waves and creamy skin.
She’d felt so good the other day and Klaus was surprised he managed to stop himself. He’d been watching her for the past year at school and had only ventured to London on Mikael’s instance over the summer to then find out, too late, she’d transitioned.
It took all his willpower not to kill those who’d let it happen. He wasn’t against vampirism given he was a hybrid but was against anyone who hurt her. Klaus was also still suspicious that his father had done it on purpose but couldn’t prove it just yet.
So, when he returned, Klaus made it his aim to be with her at all times. Designing the bonfire was the perfect excuse to be close. Even if she didn’t appreciate his ideas.
“They seem to like it.” He’d found his way toward her in the woods, the stray twigs and autumn leaves crunching underfoot.
“They’re drunk, they’d cheer for anything, Mikaelson.” Klaus fought the urge to laugh given he’d been thinking the very same thing.
“You have a point,” he conceded. “But nevertheless I think we make a pretty good team.”
“Team bonding? Wow, next thing I know you’ll be signing up to all extra curricular activities and doing spirit fingers.”
“I’ve seen Bring it On,” he replied and she finally turned to look at him, her dubious expression not lost on him. “It’s Rebekah’s favourite film and she plays it on repeat.”
“Excuses, excuses,” she chanted and he couldn’t miss the small smile that tugged on her lips. “So, are you going to leave now?”
“As organiser of this event I’m committed to staying the course.”
“Liar,” she teased, this time her smile was obvious as much as it was radiant. “You’re only staying for the s'mores.”
“Whatever you say,” he lied, happy to have an excuse to be near her as long as possible.
Seated on logs side-by-side as the moonlight engulfed them, she taught him silly campfire songs while he told ghost stories that would rival most. The night slowly slipped away and, in the early hours of the morning, the two slipped into a nearby tent too tired to concentrate further.
It was innocent of course, but Klaus couldn’t deny how good she felt, her back moulded against his chest. He inhaled her scent, trying not to get lost in her but it was proving increasingly difficult.
He moved away quietly as the light streamed into the tent, determined to get some much needed space. He walked towards the nearby stream, the only sound emanating from the birds. He placed both hands in the cold water and ran them over his face and through his unruly curls.
How had he gotten himself into this mess? He loved her so much and now he didn’t know what to do or how to explain his actions or feelings.
“You’re my mate, aren’t you?” He heard her voice behind him, the raw emotion and vulnerability he couldn’t miss.
He turned to face her, thinking how beautiful she looked first thing in the morning, but then he’d think that anyway. He noticed a stray tear in her left eye and immediately felt bad for not coming clean sooner.
But how do you admit to someone they were your everything, without it seeming entirely awkward?
“You’ve deceived me.”
“I didn’t,” he finally found his voice. “I was only giving you time before...”
“Says the guy who gatecrashed my planning committee,” she growled. “I don’t appreciate being treated like a fool. But I guess that explains your hesitance to burn a wolf designed bonfire.”
“Maybe” he offered, taking a chance and the small window that had been offered. “But everything I did and said was for your benefit. I love you, Caroline.”
In high school terms that line would be the epitome of desperation. But she was his soulmate and all emotions were now laid bare whether they liked it or not.
She seemed unmoved but at the same time was clearly considering her options. He had never felt so helpless in his life and the silence was killing him.
“I’m planning the Halloween dance and fully expect you to help,” she demanded. “And there’s going to be meetings, lots and lots of them. So you better be present and available for anything needed out of hours.”
He stifled a smirk. Who was he to argue with that?
“Yes, ma’am.”
Things seemed to right themselves even if he was her slave. Not that Klaus minded that dynamic at all. She clearly loved him just as much as he did but didn’t mind waiting for it to unfold.
They were mates after all and had all the time in the world.
The Originals: 1x02-1x08 Review
So I watched TVD during quarantine last year, and even though I swore to never to watch another Julie Plec show again, I’m giving TO a chance! I thought I’d share my thoughts, let people know whether Plec has disappointed me again or how much I love Rebekah Mikaelson. Pilot won’t be included.
1x02
YAYY REBEKAH, my queen is back
I love that Klaus is already plotting
Ok I can’t really blame Hayley for what she’s doing, Klaus doesn’t exactly have the best track record
Saw it coming from a mile away that the one who picks up the coin dies
Ooh the Marbekah ship…not sure if I’m on board with it yet but they got something going on
I can’t stop seeing the Klebekah chemistry and I don’t like it
This family has a LONG way to go with development
I don’t really see much resemblance between Cami and Caroline
KLAUS, HOW IS CHOKING HAYLEY GONNA HELP THE BABY
What the hell is Hayley wearing in this episode
Oh Rebekah…girl, I would’ve just RAN AWAY from Klaus
Hello Davina Claire…she should’ve gotten a nicer attic, it’s so rundown
Why does Marcel sleep in Rebekah’s old room…out of all the places to sleep
Klaus talks about how Marcel took everything he built…the white man saying this about a former slave…it’s not sitting right with me
Wtf is Davina drawing/painting, it’s literally just scribbles
1x03
….is that Elijah’s diary….so does everyone have one basically
I love diabolical planning!!
Ooh Rebekah coming in with the interrogation
Thierry has a witch gf damn…probably won’t end well for them
Why are Klaus and Rebekah just talking openly in a bar?? Hello? VAMPIRE HEARING?!
OOH THIERRY IS GONNA GET BEAT
Wait I completely forgot that Klaus was telling Hayley his plan, I literally thought for a second that he was talking to himself
Love that Marcel looks almost turned on when Rebekah says “maybe I’ll feed [Cami’s] heart to you”
Finally someone mentions how young the Originals are supposed to be
Here we go with another ugly Davina drawing
Poor Thierry, he was a smart man, but people like him don’t survive when they get too smart
Davina honey, draw better please
WOW the garden looks extremely cruel and disgusting
Cami’s gonna get compelled again, isn’t she
Poor Davina caught in the middle of a power play between all these men
Also Elijah looks REALLY good in a suit, I understand if Hayley wants more eye candy
1x04
CAMI IS HITTING ALL THE MARKS WITH DIAGNOSING KLAUS HAHAHA
LOL CAMI’S REACTIONS ABOUT BEING COMPELLED
Davina and Marcel’s relationship is cute
Yup, it was a setup for Hayley, can’t say I’m surprised
Ok good she escaped, idk why I’m acting like she’s not going to get out of this alive
This violin music is very ominous
….sorry but Marcel kind of keeps Davina as a prisoner
Great, bust out the windows, that’s definitely gonna help Tim if shards of glass fly everywhere
I’m guessing werewolves took Hayley
KLAUS JUST THREW TIM RIGHT OVER LMAO
Haha I knew I was right about the werewolves
Marcel’s gonna rip someone’s heart out
Oh nope it was just the neck
CAMI’S DOORS ARE WIDE OPEN?! IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT?! I know vampires need an invite but still
Putting in my guess that Marcel indirectly killed Cami’s twin brother
OH CAMI, I FEEL FOR YOU GIRL, I HOPE YOU EVENTUALLY FIND OUT WHO DID IT
ELIJAH’S BACKKK
1x05
Love the Elijah sass
Sophie Deveraux seems cool, but I could be wrong lol
16 yr old all-powerful witch…now who else does this remind me of that’s also part of TVDU
SOPHIE AND MARCEL HOOKED UP?! Didn’t see that coming
What is the priest going to do about the harvest?!
AAAHHHH THE WITCHES HEXED CAMI’S BROTHER
So basically the witches suck and the vampires suck. Werewolves, you’re up
Marcel threatening Rebekah, an Original…sorry but I laughed
WHY ARE KLAUS AND REBEKAH STILL TALKING OPENLY IN A BAR WHERE PEOPLE CAN EASILY HEAR THEM
Couldn’t Marcel have renovated the attic a little, more condo-style? How does Davina get her meals?
Davina, girl, find another hobby, drawing’s not working out for you
Father Kieran is pretty badass, I like him
Marcel and Klaus finally having it out!! I love a good fight scene
ELIJAHHH COMING TO THE PARTY FUCK YEAH
I love that Hayley gave Elijah a slap as a greeting
SO THE HARVEST GIRLS CAN BE RESURRECTED
Oh shit, Sophie’s a player in this game for power
1x06
Aww there’s already a small baby bump
Mikaelson diabolical planning is always so fun to watch
Looks like Marcel is starting to sniff out Klaus’s plans
Does Davina know that it’s possible to draw with colours that aren’t black
Oh Cami…I really do feel for you, I’m hoping this girl finds some sort of peace that isn’t achieved with compulsion
Klaus was eavesdropping, good. He should know that he isn’t actually helping Cami
Why are we back in the creepy ass garden
Did JP think we’d be stupid enough to believe that the Mikaelson mansion is different from the old Salvatore house?
Yeah, let’s “chat” with Agnes and kill her
IT’S BEEN MONTHS SINCE THE MIKAELSONS CAME TO NOLA?!
Why is Thierry acting smarter than Marcel smh
I’m sorry but the humans cannot possibly be any sort of threat…unless you’re Matt Donovan, who we all know is unkillable
Potential new crackship: Rebekah and Hayley
I swear every conversation that Marbekah has is just hinted sexual innuendos…not that I’m complaining tho
I see you, Haylijah….I’ll be keeping my eye on you two
REBEKAH DON’T GO, YOU’RE THE BEST MIKAELSON
Marcel and Rebekah are probably going to make out...and there it is
KLAUS POSING AMONG THE CHURCH MANTLEPIECES LMAOO I CAN’T
Elijah ripping out hearts…now that’s hot
So Marcel sleeps in Rebekah’s old room AND keeps everything the same?! He really has it bad for her
Klaus looked SO awkward trying to comfort Cami LOLOL
OOH CAMI WITH THAT SPEECH!! I like it
And of course, Hayley is gone but that means Rebekah’s probably coming back, and my crackship can thrive
1x07
OOH DAMN KLAUS JUST JOINED FIGHT NIGHT
ELIJAH’S HERE TOO IN AN AMAZING SUIT
TYLER MOTHAFUCKIN LOCKWOOD IS IN THE HOUSE
Hayley wants to talk about betrayal?? Didn’t she help to kill 12 hybrids and betray Tyler’s trust??
Klaus is getting jealous of Haylijah….
Tyler had every reason to go after Klaus. Is it right for him to use Hayley and the baby? No, but I understand why Tyler wants revenge
Well, at least Marcel is smart with getting Josh to be a double agent
AND MY QUEEN REBEKAH IS BACK, THAT’S RIGHT, KICK MARCEL’S ASS
The poor werewolves, they really don’t seem to have any reason to be put down
Ew, Josh likes DJ music??
Davina played piano!! I bet she’d be better at it than drawing
Oh Tyler, please, honey, GO HOME
ELIJAH FOUND HAYLEY YESSS
Oh no…Klaus and Tyler showdown…I’m not looking forward to this
AWW MARCEL HALTED CONSTRUCTION ON HIS AND REBEKAH’S HOUSE WHEN SHE RAN
Tyler, what good will a stake do against an Original if it’s not white oak
I LAUGHED WHEN ELIJAH MIMICKED KLAUS’S VOICE
WAIT, HAYLEY WAS BORN 1991?! That makes her only a yr older than Caroline
Hayley is looking out for her baby, I think she’s allowed to have doubts about Klaus’s motives
Looks like Rebekah’s heading over to Marcel’s team
TYLER TALKING TO MARCEL, FINALLY A SMART IDEA
1x08
Yeah, Rebekah shouldn’t have come back to NOLA
Yeah, Klaus would never bite you, Rebekah! He’d just dagger you…well, at least he admitted it too
Tyler is NOT an old enemy lmao
I’m surprised that Klaus likes the typewriter, I’d find the sound annoying
Cami is right, his paranoia is earned but you’d think Klaus would master the art of self-improvement
Ok, Marbekah is kind of cute
And there’s Klaus’s threat for Josh, obviously very crucial and gory
Where’s Sophie Deveraux? What’s she up to?
Elijah in time-period clothing…I’m all for it, we needed more of that on TVD (specifically with Stefan Salvatore.)
Elijah really has it bad for this Celeste, not that I blame him tho
Klaus’s counting in French was TERRIBLE
WHY IS HAYLEY ALWAYS GETTING CHOKED BY A MIKAELSON BROTHER
KLAUS’S AMBER EYES OH YES I’M HERE FOR THIS
Klaus is DEPLETING Marcel’s army
I don’t love Marcel bowing to Klaus and handing over his “kingdom” considering their history
Oh no, Klaus’s compulsion is getting to Cami’s head
Well, at least Eve is looking out for Hayley
Let’s see if Rebekah gets daggered again (she didn’t, thank god)
KLAUS, IF YOU WANT TO BE A GOOD FATHER, THEN TRY. Your kid doesn’t need an empire, she needs people who love and care for her
How did Elijah side with Klaus’s enemies?!
Cami is definitely intelligent…too bad that Father Kieran knows all this info
1x09-1x16 coming soon! Please, DO NOT POST SPOILERS OR HATE COMMENTS. I don’t expect people to agree with my opinions, but being rude is not going to get me to change mine. I haven’t seen the show before, my opinions are probably going to change over time as I keep watching. If you want longer notes on any of the episodes, please ask or message me, I’d be happy to share them.
25 Days of Christmas Special!
Tumblr media
Oh my god. He’s so pretty. I need help. My mom literally told me I’m gonna end up marrying a criminal one day and I was like. Oh. Thanks, mom. We have good times. Like if I shift to the Vampire Diaries you best bet I am going to marry a criminal but like here, eh. Maybe. I’m probably on the FBI watchlist at this point. Side note, I love Caroline but she’s getting hard core dissed in this thing so like I guess that’s a warning. Also sorry that this one is a day late. I had writers block.
3.) Secret Santa
“Why did you invite him?” Caroline asked Y/N quietly.
“I don’t know why it’s such a big deal to you. He was literally trapped alone in a prison world for years of his life. He hasn’t had any pleasant Christmases.”
“Oh, I don’t know why I’d be upset that you brought a sociopath that murdered his entire family.”
“Yeah. I don’t know why you’d be upset either but we’re all here for secret Santa, so I guess you’ll just have to deal with it.” Y/N sassed.
“Yeah. Merry freaking Christmas. I have a sociopath and Damon Salvatore in our house. Our house Y/N. Ours.”
“You really shouldn’t be upset. I’m pretty sure l am the only person in this house right now who hasn’t killed someone. Also, you literally look like you want to murder me right now, so you and Kai have more in common than I thought.” Y/N said. She patted her older sister on the back before leaving the kitchen where Caroline insisted on a sidebar.
As Y/N walked into the sitting room, she heard Caroline groan in frustration.
“You do know that more than half of the room heard that conversation, right?” Damon asked as Y/N sat in between him and Kai.
“Yep. Do I care? No.”
“I think you’ve been hanging around those two too much, Y/N.” Bonnie said gesturing towards Damon and Kai.
“That hurts Bon Bon. It hurts.” Damon said sarcastically placing his hand over his chest. Bonnie smiled but rolled her eyes.
“Well, now you made Caroline into the Grinch, so hopefully she doesn’t take it out on the rest of us.” Elena said.
“I heard that!” Caroline yelled from the kitchen. They all laughed under their breath. Seconds later Caroline came out of the kitchen carrying cookies, a light scowl planted on her face. It soon turned into a fake smile, you know one of those scary Caroline fake smiles.
“Hmm. I’m fine. I’m totally fine. This’ll be the best secret Santa ever. Who knows? Might even top Friendsgiving where Jo almost died on the couch. Such low expectations to meet. It has to be better, right? Right?”
“Okay. Okay. Let’s just put down the hot tray of cookies. That’s it.” Stefan said patting her on the shoulder.
Caroline let out a sigh, trying to calm herself. “So, let’s get started.”
The tension in the air was thick. Kai hadn’t said a word. Every time Y/N looked over he was on Twitter. At one point she almost laughed because she saw him looking at Ralph Macchio’s Twitter.
“Okay so, everyone knows how this works right? Give the person’s name you drew last week the gift. It’s simple seriously. If you don’t know how this works you’re an idiot.” Caroline said.
“Okay. So, the passive aggressive attitude hasn’t passed has it?” Y/N asked.
Caroline rolled her eyes. “Let’s just get this over with. Also, I’d appreciate if you found somewhere else to stay at tonight.”
“Rude. Yo, Damon, can I stay in one of the spare bedrooms tonight?”
“Sure. Problem solved blondie.” He said addressing Caroline in her least favorite way. She scoffed.
“I don’t get a say? It’s my house too.” Stefan chimed in.
“Do you have something to say to me there, Stef?” Y/N asked.
“No, I would just like for my brother to console me before having someone spend the night in my house.”
“Our house Stefan. Ours.”
“Oh lovely. Just what we need! Another sibling feud!” Elena exlclaimed.
“Okay, you know what? I’m just gonna go. I don’t want in the middle of this whatsoever. Elena, are you coming?” Bonnie asked.
“Don’t have to ask me twice.” She said following Bonnie out the door.
“Great! Look what you did, Y/N!”
“What I did?! You’re the one that’s being a bitch!”
“You did not just go there!”
“I’m the oldest one Stefan! I make the decisions!”
“Well you sure don’t act like it, Damon!”
The arguments overlapped as Kai stood in the corner observing.
“Heh. Just how Christmas was at my house.” Kai smirked to himself.
Kai didn’t quite catch what was said that caused it to happen, but Y/N punched Caroline in the face.
She gasped popping her broken nose back in place. “Jerk!” She exclaimed.
“Bitch!” Y/N said back. She flipped her off and ran upstairs. Minutes later she came back down carrying a bag of essentials. “Have fun telling mom why I’m not home by curfew, you dumbass! Come on, Kai.”
He chuckled to himself a bit, then followed her. Not long after, they had arrived at Kai’s apartment.
“You coming in or what? You’re staying here now right?” He asked.
“I was just gonna like sleep in my car, but since your offering…”
“You’re welcome anytime your sister’s being stuck up and bitchy.”
“Oh so literally 24/7? Thanks.” She joked.
“Sorry you had to listen to that.” She muttered as they entered the building.
“Eh. I’m used to it.”
They entered his apartment. Y/N threw her stuff beside the couch. There was an awkward moment of silence before Kai broke it.
“I’m hungry. Are you hungry?”
“Yeah. You wanna go to the Grill or something?”
“Yeah. Let’s go.”
They drove to the Grill and entered to see Damon at the bar drinking whiskey. What else was new?
“Stef kick you out of the house?” Y/N joked.
“Oh ha ha, Y/N. No, I just don’t want to deal with his bullshit. Well, would you look at that? You brought the psychopath with you.”
“Sociopath.” Kai corrected. The door swung open revealing Bonnie and Elena.
“Wow. We all try to avoid each other and end up in the same place.” Elena said.
“Well, merry freaking Christmas and a happy new year. My sister hates me. It’s 7:00 pm and I’m drinking. And I haven’t even stabbed anyone with a candy cane yet. I’ve always wanted to do that.” She mumbled the last sentence to herself. She downed a shot.
“Also you aren’t even 21 and are drinking in a public place.” Elena added. Y/N glared at her.
“You know, I’m starting to worry about your violent tendencies.” Bonnie stated.
“I think it suits her.” Damon smirked.
“I definitely agree with Damon for once in my life. It’s hot.”
Y/N elbowed Kai in the ribs.
“Ow. Why didn’t he get elbowed?” Kai complained.
“He wasn’t flirting with me.”
Y/N ordered some chicken strips and French fries from Matt.
“You’re such a child.” Damon said. “Oh I’m sorry I would rather eat chicken strips than a salad or a blood bag. I’m not a vampire or a real adult, Damon. You should know that by now.”
“Oh yeah. I forgot in the midst of everything. Merry Christmas, Kai.” Y/N handed him a Walkman and a cassette. “I made you a mixtape. I understand if you don’t like use it or anything but…”
“No, Y/N, I like it. Thanks…Wow. Ugh, I’m having that mushy feeling again. Gross. Feelings are hard.”
Bonnie and Elena gave each other a look. “Damon, let’s go play pool or something.” Bonnie said. Her and Elena forced him to get up.
Once they got over to the pool table, Damon glared at them. “No. No. No. We were doing damage control. Are you two seriously going to let your best friend fall in love with him?”
“Look, this could potentially make him less of a threat. Wouldn’t you like to let the issue fix itself for once? Kai has feelings now. He is in love with her. We keep it that way, he might not go on another murderous rampage.”
“How did you say that so nonchalantly? He has feelings because he literally killed his brother.” Damon said gesturing toward him.
“Oh god. They’re making out. That is literally disgusting. How are you all okay with this?”
“I don’t want to do something for once. I agree with Elena. Let the problem fix itself.” Bonnie said.
“You know what? Fine. I won’t interfere. I’ll just be watching. I’ll l be waiting because sooner or later this is going to bite you both in the ass, just like when she was with Kol. The cycle is repeating, and I’m not helping this time when you just ‘leave it alone’”
Damon left, and Bonnie and Elena both shrugged and started playing pool. “Merry Christmas Elena.” “Merry Christmas Bonnie.”
Harden My Heart (1) Part One
Warning: Language
IF YOU WANT TO BE TAGGED, LET ME KNOW!
Tumblr media
“We’re doing this for your best interest, Caroline.”
I stared at the piece of paper, pulling at the edges. “It’s not only the best thing for you but it’s also going to help our family out as well.”
I stayed silent as I listened to my mother try to plead her and my father’s case. I thought I was coming home for a nice family dinner, but I was instead dropped in the lion’s den, preparing to be ripped to shreds. “He’s a good boy, Caroline.” My father spoke. “He’s going to take very good care of you, better than any other man can.”
“I’d rather slit my wrist and bleed out on the street than go with that man.” I muttered, earning looks of disapproval from my parents.
“Don’t say things like that, Caroline.” I looked up at my mom.
I wanted so badly to tell her off but I knew that she and my dad were under enough stress. They didn’t need me mouthing off to them, even though it would make me feel a little better.
“Now-“ She spoke as she stood up from the couch across from me. “Reggie will be here any minute and you’re still dressed like a slouch.” I looked down at my baggy shirt and gym shorts. “You need to go upstairs, shower, and make yourself look presentable.”
“Presentable?” I questioned.
She let out a huff, her nerves hanging on by a string. “Presentable, Caroline-” Her voice filled with annoyance. “Like every blushing bride-to-be should look.” _________________________________________________
“I’m gonna throw up.”
I stared at myself in the mirror, the Ivory gown staring back at me.
“Just take a couple deep breaths, Caroline.” My eyes drifted to my mom’s reflection, her purple dress hugging her small feature. “It’s just nerves.”
Just nerves.
I had been hearing that phrase for the past two weeks. Meeting a man that I was to marry in less than a week… Just nerves. Planning a wedding for over 300 guest… Just nerves. The day finally being here and my life being signed away forever to a man I don’t even know… Just nerves.
Today was the day that I had been dreading since my parents dropped the nuptial bomb. When you’re a little girl, you dream of your wedding day. You dream of the beautiful dress, the fancy reception, and the man of your dreams standing at the alter waiting for you. You basically have it all planned by the age of 10, but fate has a funny way of fucking it all up. Never in a million years would I have guessed that I would be in the situation I’m in now. I never imagined that I would be standing here, wearing a beautiful wedding dress, waiting to walk down the aisle to a man that I didn’t know or even love for that matter. I would be sharing the biggest and supposedly happiest day of my life with a room full of strangers and maybe a dozen of my own family and friends. When I pictured myself getting married, this wasn’t how it was supposed to go. I was supposed to be happy. I was supposed to be in love.
“Reggie is gonna die when he sees you, sweetheart.”
Reggie Kray.
There’s not much to say about Reginald Kray, seeing as I barely know the guy. The few times that I had any interaction with him, he seemed cold and uptight. Almost like a stick was shoved up his ass and he had no way of getting it out. He didn’t talk much, which was okay by me. From what I heard from my parents, Reggie was a twin but never spoke of his sibling. It was all a big mystery when it came to Reggie Kray. He walked around with an entourage of guys, all dressed in suits, black suits. There was always one main guy with him at all times, almost like he was afraid to be by himself. The guy was just as uptight and cold as Reggie. He never spoke the couple times that I was around him. He just stood there like he was a fixture of the house. Was it going to be like this when Reggie and I were finally married? Am I getting a two-for-one kind of deal?
“Five minutes before show time!”
I snapped out of my thoughts as the wedding planner barged through the door. I watched as the stylist placed her finishing touches on my mom’s hair, giving her a smile in the mirror. Everyone in the room buzzed around, fixing stray hairs, touching up makeup, and grabbing anything they needed.
“Is the bride ready?”
I stayed silent, watching as everyone scattered around me. I felt like my world was closing in on me. My chest felt tight. My throat felt like it was closing. I wanted to rip this fucking dress off my body and throw myself in the nearest river. I wanted to be anywhere but here!
“She’s rea-“
“Why me?” I cut my mom off. “Why do I have to do this? Why do I have to marry a man I don’t even fucking know?!” I yelled out, tears threatening to spill from my eyes. “There’s a million girls out there that he could have picked. What’s so fucking special about me?”
Everyone in the room stopped what they were doing and stared at me. I could see pity in some of their eyes, while others looked at me like I was insane. If they were in my shoes, they would be freaking out too. “Caroline-“ My mom barked. “You need to calm down!”
“No!” I started tugging at my dress. “I want to know why he fucking picked me?!”
The wedding planner began ushering everyone out of the room, leaving my mom and I alone.
“I’m taking this dress off-“ I reached my hands behind my back, searching for the zipper. “I’m leaving.”
My mom suddenly turned into the Flash, swatting my hands away from the back of the dress. “You need to get your shit together, Caroline Taylor!” She seethed. “You have a church full of people waiting for you and you’re throwing a fucking hissy-fit. Do you know how ridiculous you are sounding right now? You know how many girls would kill to be in the spot you’re in right now?”
I stayed silent.
“You wanna know why Reggie Kray picked you?” She spoke. “You need to ask him yourself. You need to speak to that boy like he’s your husband. He’s the one that came to your father and I. He sought you out himself and your father and I agreed that he would be the best match for you.”
“You don’t even know him, mo-“
“You don’t know him either, Caroline!” She pressed. “You’re not even giving him the time of day. You need to get to know him because you’re gonna be with him for a very long time.”
“I can get it annulled or filed for divorce.”
My mom glared at me, “No daughter of mine is gonna get a divorce.” Her voice was serious and low. “You’re going to learn to love that boy, you hear me?”
Before I could answer, the wedding planner popped back in, telling us that it was time to start. I felt like my life was failing. At that moment, I knew that I couldn’t back out. There was no way my mom would let me leave this church without Reggie beside me and the name Kray behind Caroline…
The Bridal Chorus was a song that caused butterflies to erupt in everyone’s stomach. It meant that the event was finally happening and the bride would be ushered down the aisle to her awaiting groom. It was a happy moment for everyone, everyone except me.
As my dad and I started making our way down the pathway, I looked around at all the guest in attendance. I didn’t recognize half the people there, and those I did know, looked at me with so much hope and happiness. I wonder if they could see emptiness and sadness when I looked at them? I took a glance ahead at the alter where Reggie was standing. His three-piece suit hugged his body like a glove, his hair slicked back perfectly. He looked very handsome. As we grew closer, I my eyes connected with his. Heat flooded my core as his eyes burned into my skin, his eyes examining my front top to bottom.
“Who gives this woman to this man?”
The music stopped as the priest’s voice rang throughout the venue.
I felt my dad’s arm tighten around mine, “Her mother and I do.” He spoke proudly.
The priest nodded his head, giving him a small smile. I turned toward my dad, his hands reaching for my lace veil. I wanted to burst into tears as I locked eyes with him. He gave me a reassuring smile as he lifted the veil away from my face, placing a kiss on my cheek.
 “I love you.” He whispered.
I remained silent as he pulled away, reaching for my right hand, leading me towards Reggie.
“Take good care of her, son.” My dad spoke as he placed my hand into Reggie’s left. Reggie simply nodded his head before turning back toward the priest, pulling me with him as he ascending back up the small staircase.
His grip on my hand felt firm but not too tight. It almost felt comforting. Once we were in front of the priest, he ran his thumb over my skin in a reassuring manner, before softly releasing my hand. My hand felt like it was on fire, a good kind of fire.
“We are gathered here today to join this holy union between Reginald Kray and Caroline Taylor.”
I started to block out what the priest was saying after that first line. Here I was, standing in front a church full of people, marrying a man I’ve only known for two weeks. I didn’t know his favorite color, sports teams, what he liked, disliked. I just noticed that his eyes are green! I didn’t know what he did for a living, if he had a college degree. I’m not even sure how old he is but yet here I was. If I really wanted to, I could have left. I would have pushed past my mom, told everyone to kiss my ass, and got the fuck out of Dodge. That’s what I would have done if I wanted to leave. That little fighting spirit was still inside me, telling me to kick off the heels and run out of the church but I stayed. I can’t tell you why I stayed but here I was.
“Reggie, Caroline-”The priest spoke. “Please face each other for the reading of the vowels and ring exchange.”
We were soon facing, able to take each other in fully. He was a lot taller than I remembered. Frankly, he was even more attractive close up. The features that I should have noticed the first day I met him were in the spotlight as stared up at him. His chiseled jaw looked like it was carved by Michelangelo himself. His lips were full and the perfect shade of pink. His eyes were green, with little hints of blue and brown floating around. He was fucking perfect.
“Reggie, please repeat after me.” The priest began. “I, Reginald Kray, take thee Caroline Taylor, to be my lawfully wedded wife.”
“I, Reginald Kray, take thee Caroline Taylor, to be my lawfully wedded wife.” His English accent floating through the air like a warm breeze.
“To have and to hold, through sickness and through health, for richer and for poorer, until death do us part.”
“To have and to hold, through sickness and through health, for richer and for poorer, till death do us part-“ He slipped the diamond wedding sent on my left ring finger. “I promise to always protect you no matter what.” He spoke the last part, his eyes boring into mine.
My heart fluttered as I took in the extra vow he threw in. By the audience’s reaction, I wasn’t the only one who was shocked.
“Caroline, please repeat after me.” My eyes stayed connected with Reggie’s as the priest started speaking.
“I, Caroline Taylor, take thee Reginald Kray, to be my lawfully wedded husband.”
“I-“ I stopped short.
Every thought that I had about this wedding came crashing down on me once again. I was a couple words away from being married. A few little words separated me from a life of unknowns.
“I, Caroline Taylor, take thee Reginald Kray, to be my lawfully wedded husband.”
It was as if a sense of relief not only flooded through the priest, but Reggie and the entire church.
“To have and to hold, through sickness and through health, for richer or poorer, until death do us part.”
“To have and to hold, through sickness and through health, for richer or poorer, until death do us part.” I placed the silver band on his finger, his finger wrapping around mine once the ring was placed.
“I now have the pleasure of pronouncing you man and wife, Reggie, you may now kiss your gorgeous bride.”
I watched as he started leaning forward as I felt myself leaning back. Before I could get far enough away, his arm stretched behind my waist, bringing me flush against his hard body. In that moment, we were in our own world. He was looking at me and I was looking at him. Without further hesitation, he crashed his lips onto mine.  Shock was the first thing I felt but as the kiss deepened, pleasure and want replaced the feeling.
“Get a room, you two!”
Reggie was the first to break away, leaving me wanting more. When I finally came back to earth and realized that we were still in front of my parents, his parents, and especially the priest, embarrassment coursed through me. I just had a fucking make-out session in front of a priest, my parents, strangers, and God.
Reggie Kray was already turning me into a completely different person...
Scary
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x Caroline Forbes
Requested by @asconfusedasonecanbe: Hey! I wanted to ask if you could do something with Klaroline where Klaus comes to mystic falls either earlier (like season 1 or the very beginning of season 2) or later (like season 6)?
Notes: Set during the Halloween dance in season one! I loved the prompt, so fun to write!!
Tumblr media
Caroline loved school dances.
Everyone who knew her knew that much. They also knew that she takes them very seriously.
She had tediously selected her costume— an adorable witch, hat and all— months prior. You could call her obsessive or controlling, which she’d deny, but you couldn’t say she wouldn’t have the cutest costume there.
And though Caroline was having a great time dancing and talking to her friends, something felt off. Something kept nagging at her, and then she finally realized what it was.
In the corner, leaned against the wall, was a man out of costume. He was undeniably attractive, Caroline noted, but he was dressed in a black tee shirt and jeans.
“Why do you keep looking over there?” Bonnie asked, looking behind her to follow Caroline’s gaze.
“He’s ruining all the fun,” Caroline said irritatedly, tapping her foot. “The dance clearly said costumes only, I don’t know how he got in.”
Bonnie smirked. “Are you sure that’s what’s bothering you, and not that you think he’s hot?”
Caroline gaped. “Bonnie! How could you even say that? I mean, sure, he’s cute if you’re into that... bad boy... sort of thing, but— no!”
Bonnie laughed. “Care, it’s not that serious. So what if he’s not in a costume?”
Caroline didn’t care to admit that it wasn’t just about the costumes. Caroline had gotten a B in history that week, even though she studied nonstop for two weeks. She felt out of control, and the only thing she could change was that idiot without a costume.
“I’m giving him a piece of my mind.” Caroline started marching towards him before Bonnie could object.
As she walked over, heels clicking, the man’s smirk grew, irritating Caroline to no end.
“What is wrong with you?” Caroline asked, crossing her arms.
The man raised an eyebrow, that stupid smirk still playing on his lips. “I’m not quite sure what you mean.”
Wow, accent.
Caroline sighed and pointed to the glittery sign on the door (yes, she made it herself) that read Costumes Only.
He grinned. “That rule wasn’t well enforced, was it?”
Caroline growled. “Okay, listen-“
“Klaus,” he said.
She narrowed her eyes at him. “What?”
“Klaus, my name is Klaus,” he said. “You are?”
“Caroline,” she replied, crossing her arms. “Anyways, you have to be at least cute or semi-scary to be here.”
“Well, I’m very cute,” Klaus said. “And I can be very scary, Caroline.”
Caroline nearly shivered at the way his blue eyes darkened, the way the said her name. But she merely crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. “Right, like I buy that.”
Klaus chuckled. “Well, then, if I’m not scary enough, why don’t we just find me a costume?”
Caroline wasn’t done with this stranger, she knew that deep in her bones. “That seems like a... solution. I know a costume shop in town. Let’s go, but we have to hurry. I don’t wanna miss the dance.”
“Whatever you say,” Klaus purred, and followed Caroline out of the school.
-
Caroline ran her hand over the costumes. “What about a wizard?”
Klaus’s mouth twisted in disgust. “Not a fan.”
“Werewolf?”
Klaus laughed. “Oh, no, I couldn’t.”
Caroline glared at him. “You don’t have much of a selection, you know. You’re kind of last minute.”
“What about a zombie, then?” Klaus asked, holding up a zombie makeup kit.
Caroline wrinkled her nose. “No, ew. Dead guys aren’t cute.”
Klaus smiled, just a little. “Fine, then, vampire.”
Caroline considered, looking at the Dracula cape Klaus had in his hands. “You know, that’s actually kind of perfect.”
“That’s what I thought you’d say.” Klaus smirked and went into the changing room.
-
Klaus came out of the changing room in the full Dracula ensemble, from the suit to the cape and even fake fangs. Caroline even insisted upon him wearing fake blood and slicking back his hair.
He felt ridiculous, of course, being a real vampire and all. But the look on Caroline’s face— confused, awkward, a little in awe— was worth it.
They went back to the dance, the music thumping under their feet. Caroline’s friends had gone, but Klaus didn’t mind that.
“Would you like to dance?” Klaus asked as a slow song came on.
Even in the dark, he could see Caroline blush. “Um, sure.”
He smiled and pulled her to him, swaying with her in his arms. “You look beautiful tonight.”
“Thank you,” she said softly. “You’re not too bad yourself, Dracula.”
He laughed. “You’re enjoying this, arent you?”
“Very much.” She laughed.
“I told you I could be scary,” he muttered in her ear, hearing her heart pick up a beat.
“You don’t scare me,” she replied.
He allowed his fake fangs to trace her neck. “I don’t?”
Caroline’s breath hitched. “Maybe. But not in a bad way.”
Klaus looked into her soft blue eyes. There were a million things he wanted to say, but nothing that he could.
And then, Caroline kissed him. For a second, he was surprised, and then he melted into the kiss.
“I’m sorry,” she said as she pulled away. “I don’t know why-“
“Don’t apologize,” Klaus said, smiling. She smiled back, and his heart panged.
After all, Klaus would be coming back soon, and he couldn’t have Caroline remembering him.
He looked into her eyes. “You met a stranger this evening,” he compelled, “but come morning you won’t remember my face or my name, just that we had an amazing time tonight.”
Caroline smiled. “I had an amazing time tonight.”
“Me, too,” Klaus said with a smile, the end of the song fading into the back of his mind. “Goodnight, Caroline.”
“Goodnight,” she smiled, and pulled away from him.
Maybe, when Klaus came back for the doppelgänger to break his curse, he’d come back for this Caroline...
Then again, she may not want him then. After all, Klaus was a lot scarier than he looked.
The time after Klaus had taken out Mikael contained a massive lot of events, he & Stefan had regained their relationship, Caroline angry at seeing you & Tyler happy had moved away from Mystic Falls & also thanks to Damon sneaking into the house & resurrecting Elijah, the entire Original family rose from their coffins.
It wasn’t as if that last part was majorly bad, as you got on well with Elijah & Kol, despite Kol’s attempts to flirt. It was Esther & Finn you were wary of, for people whom had been stabbed by Klaus, the two seemed rather peaceful & cheerful, and whilst you understood Klaus wanted his family together & protected, you also understood that they would be a bit miffed at Klaus using the White Oak Stake. As you said to Elena, you weren’t following Klaus blindly, so why did it seem Esther & Finn were both doing so?
“I know they are planning something bad.” Tyler told Klaus whilst they were alone. It was the day of the Mikaelson Ball, Stefan having pulled Esther & Finn to go decoration shopping and You having agreed to be peacemaker between Elijah & Kol as they went suit shopping. “I can tell as well” Klaus agreed, you had told Klaus, Stefan & Tyler of your worries about The Originals plans for Klaus & the rest of the family. “Y/N’s right, no one is ever that chirpy, especially when Finn’s been so depressed about vampirism for that long.” Klaus remarked “If only there was a way to spy on them, but I know you won’t put Y/N into any danger & I don’t know a lot about Original Witchery.” At hearing Tyler’s words, Klaus got an idea “Well there could be a way, but you would have to be on board” “Anything sir” Tyler bowed, causing Klaus to flash a signature grin.
You had made it back early, Elijah finally telling you he would be able to handle Kol, having wanted you to rest. As you walked in, you heard grunts from the bedroom, you made your way upstairs, and stared into the bedroom surprised when you just saw Tyler there, naked and sweaty doing push ups. He caught your scent and looked up, smiling “Well hello love, like what you see?” “Fuck yeah I do” you moved into the room, Tyler backing himself onto the bed which you bounded onto, Tyler wrapping you into a kiss, when you suddenly halted “Did you call me love?” “I don’t know ... love, did I?” He cocked his head to the side & let a grin fall over his face, you could tell that look was one person’s or rather, one hybird’s “Niklaus!” He waved his hand “Hello” he said, somewhat cheerfullly. “H-how did you?” You wondered, “Well all those suspicions you have of Esther & Finn, well we’ve all been having them however none of us could spy without them twigging except for loyal Tyler, which gave me an idea. Using a wizard who  owed me a favour, I stored myself in Tyler’s body, my other body is in safe keeping for when I return back.”
You let out a shaky breath, this seemed like it would make you run on adrenaline, which whilst you liked, it was nerve-racking whenever Klaus was involved “So what’s the plan of attack then?” “Well I’ll have to make leave on the basis of dealing with important issues for The Council, which Rebekah is collecting now, I’ll keep a short eye on Esther & Finn, and hear what they have, I will need you on standby so if it’s something you can reverse, you can, if not we go to the wizard to help.” Hearing Tyler!Klaus’s plan got you nervous but excited “It’s like a Bond film almost.” “Yes it is!” Tyler!Klaus grinned “So what does Tyler think about all this?” You gestured to Tyler’s body, wondering how he was with Klaus walking around in it “There’s a link that connects us, he wants me to use him, for whatever I want.” “Whatever?” “Yes love, whatever” he grinned “You know what I saw when I entered Tyler and formed the connection? His thoughts were overrun with you, all types of sexual desires, and look what they did to me” he gestured towards his hard cock, which had begun to drip precum “Oh we can’t have that can we.” You said in mock horror, a grin on your face as you sank to your knees, sucking his cock.
“Oh fuck!” Tyler!Klaus groaned throwing his head back “That’s it Y/N love, take it deep” he gripped onto your head, guiding you all the way down, letting out a bunch of grunts and moans. He eventually pulled you off & ripped your clothes off, you groaning as you kissed him again. You both sped over to the bed falling onto it “Y/N, you wanna get fucked?” Tyler!Klaus asked with a rough horny grit to his voice “Please I need you!” “Well love, since you asked like a slut should” he thrusted in, making you scream “OH FUCK YES!” Tyler!Klaus started rough, he knew that this evening was needed to concentrate on Esther & Finn, so he intended to get all his tension out now “Fuck Y/N, you’re so tight around me, God I’m never going to get enough of you!” He kissed you, speeding you into the wall where you continued fucking, this was one of Tyler’s dirty thoughts that Klaus had seen & once he was back in his own body, Klaus would indeed be using this in his own.
Moans & groans from both men filled the room, you loving how amazing Tyler!Klaus was being. “Fuck this is amazing! Keep fucking me like this!” He obliged, as he kept going you ran your hands over his muscles, Tyler kept his body in good condition & the fact you even got to experience it was incredible. “Love, can I ask something?” “Y-yes” “Tyler wants to bite you, drink from you. Now I let Stefan & I’ll let Tyler but he wants to know if it’s ok?” You were shocked from Tyler’s thoughts, Klaus obviously using the link between them “Will he be able to taste it?” You asked “Yes, whilst I’ve taken over, everything I experience he does as well, this fuck we’ve had, he has said the same pleasure I have had, it’s like we’re both fucking you but I only have one cock.” You parted your head to Klaus “Then drink, drink my blood” Tyler’s facial features changed, his eyes turned yellow and dark veins popped under his eyes, letting out a roar of longing he struck. You yelled out as he began to drink “FUCK YES! Drink it, swallow it down, take as much as you need!” Once Klaus had finished drinking, he removed himself from you, blood still dripping from his mouth, you kissed him “Tell Tyler this, Whether it’s Stefan or Klaus or you, your vampire faces are beautiful.” “Oh he knows love.” “And what does he think?” “This is what he thinks.” Klaus gave a sharp thrust, causing you to shoot your load all over Tyler. Tyler!Klaus continued, grunting even more, you knew he wouldn’t last & sure enough “Fuck, Y/N, I’m going to come!” You leant over & whispered in his ear “Do it, love.” Klaus groaned our as he shot his load inside you, you also throwing your head back. Sharing a few more kisses, you pulled back, retrieving your clothes from the floor “You should probably get dressed as well Klaus, Elijah & Kol will be back soon.” Klaus stood to attention “Sir yes sir!” He said in a sort of funny mocking way “Fuck off” you mockingly exchanged, causing the hybrid to let out a laugh.
The Mikaelson Ball went ahead, with no one suspecting Tyler was really Klaus, causing the hybrid to be able to spy & discover that the wine was designed to link them together, so that when they drank, Elena’s possey could kill one and they would all go down. Tyler!Klaus raced back over “Y/N, the wine!” Understanding you signaled for Stefan to go to Elijah, Tyler!Klaus racing to Rebekah & you heading to Kol. You all switched the glasses out & marched them away. Out to the makeshift parking lot you went, to where Klaus’s witch friend was hidden in wait “So?” they said, waiting for Klaus to reveal the problem “We need new wine & glasses, and Klaus has to come in now, she can’t suspect we know.” Tyler!Klaus said. Shutting his eyes, the wizard began several incantations which included one that made replica glasses with magical shields on them, in case Esther & Finn tried anything if she knew replicas were made, a new unlinked bottle of wine appeared & poured it’s contense into the bottles required, one for each original, as they sped to their respective person, and within a few extra seconds, Tyler shut his eyes and took a big breath out, returning to his regular posture and gait, within a few extra moments, Klaus appeared from out of the woods, back to normal. Thanking the wizard, you raced back inside, in time to catch Finn making a toast, your Original friends & lover drank from the safe wine & glasses.
Later, you had made arrangements to leave the Mikaelson household on a trip where you explained to Esther was a relative bonding experience, completely missing the fact that the family would not return, at least not for a while. Rebekah took her own car to lead the way, and Stefan followed her with the others in his car. “Did you notice that Esther didn’t care that Rebekah was driving? She’d gladly cause a crash & take out others because of her damn vandetta.” You mentioned “Good riddance” Elijah responded in the back “Darling. There’s something I need to know.” “Fire away Kol” you said  “Where did Klaus tell Stefan we were going, cause I’m not going to a damn bonding place!” You laughed at Kol’s worry slapping him on the back of his shoulder “Bitch you know perfectly well I only said that to get Esther off our ass. But I would like to know Klaus, where are we going?”
Klaus grinned at you as you turned around to see his answer “New Orleans”
Preview: The thief’s mouth hung open in her rambles, before she looked up to Crypto, still standing in the rain with his hands in his pockets, hair flat against his face. The shadow over her eyes fell now, mascara running down her cheeks as she wiped the nose with the back of her hand in an uncharacteristically sloppy way. “...Am I doing them wrong, Park? Have I done bad by them?”
The gentle sound of the radio was enough to not make the room sound so deafening in its silence, raindrops hitting the window like tears from the clouds, as if knowing the day to the date, and mourning on her behalf. The song was a lighthearted one, one about running away to the big city - an older one, from more than many years ago, somehow still prevalent on the radio stations that she tended to be drawn towards. Was it because this music was a comfort to her? Her father always cared a lot for songs like those, and he would whisk herself and her mother around the living room while some lovelorn fool sang about a Caroline or an Eileen.
  Loba was gentle in the way she did her makeup, having mastered her technique in the past few years - her philosophy had always been to not get caught, but if she were to be, she had to look her best. She closed one eye, gently placing a synthetic eyelash over the smokey eye makeup she’d carefully painted on already, pulling away and staring at herself in the vanity mirror in her room, and hand running through one of the shorter braids, the ends of her hair no longer stark red and now simply a subdued blonde. Her eyes fell on a small polaroid in the corner of the vanity, moving to run two fingers of the faces of the two adults - a suited man and a smiling woman - staring at the young child with a wide smile and a small tooth gap. The thief smiled a little, at the way the girl was so oblivious to her future, her happiness at that moment forever caught, to be cherished and longed for. She stared for a moment or two more, hand pulling away to catch a glance of the two parents by the girl’s shoulders, just as happy as she, before she stood to her feet, grabbing the leather-gloved form the edge of the desk before she opened the door, and began heading out of the dropship, passing by the kitchen and listening to the clicking of her boots against the floor-
  “You’re awake early.”
She jumped at the sudden voice, shooting a glare over to the table in the dropship’s kitchen, where a pair of eyes stared back at her from over the back of a laptop. “For god's sake, Crypto, make yourself known. Don’t scare me like that.”
“Sorry.” He almost looked sheepish for a moment, pulling down his laptop screen so she could see his face, the clear bags under his eyes from behind his glasses and the weak smile he gave. “You’re looking very… monotone.”
Loba hummed, doing a little half-hearted spin. “I have places to be. Quite in demand, don’t you know?”
“Hm. Visiting death, are we?”
“I guess you could say that.”
He frowned at her for a moment, brow furrowing before he closed the lid of his laptop and stood to his feet.
“What are you doing?”
“Grabbing my coat.”
“What- no, you’re not coming with me.”
He didn’t respond, shoving his hands into his pockets as he made his way back to his room.
“Crypto!” The thief called out to him, but again he didn’t respond, not even so much with a turn. And though she gave an exasperated sigh and folded her arms across her chest, she didn’t try to leave him behind in this momentary blindspot. Deep down, she was almost glad for the company. Especially his.
  The hacker soon returned, now donning a fuzzy black coat, somewhat more professional and warmer than his normal attire, though still jarring to see him in something that wasn’t white or green… though, hints of his usual accent still came through, in the formal shirt and tie he still wore underneath. Hands were shoved into his pockets, clearly fiddling with the cube he always carried with him, more for comfort than out of function. Crypto shot her a small nod as she turned to look at him, quickening his pace a little to join her at her side. “So-”
Before he could finish, he was cut off as she ran a hand down his chest, feeling the soft material of his coat under her fingertips with a soft expression. It wasn’t often they shared moments like this - the two were discrete about their relationship, especially since their mission had led to both… complications and rifts in the group, but also new bonds being formed, including their own. Interactions between the two were kept strictly professional when eyes were on them… but now Loba fixed his coat collar, a sad smile on her face, perhaps getting a bit closer than what she would have normally. But it was the early morning, and the open kitchen was silent. It was just them. What did they have to hide?
Crypto’s smile was weak, and embarrassed, perhaps still not used to the shift between professionalism and PDA. His voice cracked a little as he continued with his train of thought. “S-so, where are we going?”
Loba pulled her hands away from him, tucking her arm into his with a solemn nod, as if to hype herself up. “The closest thing I remember being a home to me. ...To Olympus.”
  The ride was quiet, but they both were tense. Loba knew that Crypto never liked crowds, not much - it was bad enough that a handful of the legends knew who he really was, but being so visible was a threat, even if these people had never heard of Taejoon Park before. She reached a hand over to him without looking to make it obvious, feeling for his hand to hold onto for comfort, as she knew the way his eyes fell on her and his face softened in a way that only she knew. The thief gave him a glance, and a small smile, running a thumb over the back of his knuckles, to comfort him, but also perhaps to comfort herself, as through the window the overview of the city so foggy in her memories became clearer. It was so different, and yet... not at all. She tried to swallow the lump in her throat, but it kept coming back, enough to make it hard for her to breathe as they left the landing zone and headed down a familiar road, being dropped off at the front of an extravagant building, where pedestrians entered through lavish double doors. She exited the taxi they had shared, a hand holding onto the door for a moment before she quietly shut it.
“Damn rain,” she grumbled, though it was certainly half-hearted, pulling out her cane and extending it to lean against it, in the way she usually did, her other hand over her eyes to avoid damage to her makeup.
Behind her, the taxi started up again, driving away as the hacker now joined her at her side, hands in his pockets. He hummed.
“What?”
“You haven’t told me everything about yourself. If I knew any better, I would make a joke that this was your second home… the gaudiness is fitting. But…” He looked over to her, and the way she stared back at him.
Loba swallowed. “Yes, well I… the loss of my family to that… demon… meant I have lost my home, my heritage. I have no grave to return my good wishes to, so I…” With her cane, she gestured towards the building in front of them - to the restaurant where all but one little girl had lost her life over twenty years before.
  There was a long, drawn-out silence, the only sound being the sound of rain that his the pavement leading up to the glowing restaurant doors.
“I feel my papa would have liked you.”
“Hm?” He glanced down to her, how the rain fell down the sides of her face and how the gloomy sunlight cast a dark shadow over her eyes.
“He would have liked you. From… what I remember, anyway. He was a kind man, a family man. ...Yes, he would have liked you.” Her voice quivered as she repeated herself.
“...Loba, I-”
“-And mama would have too. Oh, the things she would say, I can almost hear them, in a distant sort of way. ‘Mi yerno es un ángel.’, I think is the phrase she’d say… I-I’m sure she would call us married already, she was a housewife type despite her… her profession-”
“Loba.”
The thief’s mouth hung open in her rambles, before she looked up to Crypto, still standing in the rain with his hands in his pockets, hair flat against his face. The shadow over her eyes fell now, mascara running down her cheeks as she wiped the nose with the back of her hand in an uncharacteristically sloppy way. “...Am I doing them wrong, Park? Have I done bad by them?”
He didn’t know what to say. He’d never had this issue before, not for himself - what was done with him was done, and he had no one to mourn… no parents, and no sister. He quickly swallowed before he could ride down that thought path. Reaching a hand out of his pocket, he took hers and gently squeezed. “You… are an amazing woman. They know that, surely, from where they reside. Regardless of what you have done, or will do, you are still theirs. Be proud.”
That’s when her face, that had tried so hard to remain like stone despite her tears, wrinkled, and her grip on his hand grew tighter with a squeeze, before she burst into sobs and practically threw herself onto him, burying her face into his shoulder, as if to hide her dignity, her hands moving to claw onto his back and hold it as if he would leave her at a moments notice.
  He didn’t move, unsure if she would shatter in his arms like fragile glasswork, so perfect and delicate as she shook in the cold and the pressure of containing herself, but soon Crypto held her back, and brought her close, the warmth still foreign to him, even after all the times that had done this behind closed doors. No… it was never like this. Loba was strong, she held her cards close to her chest, and only let herself be vulnerable when she knew she had nothing to lose - and to her, she still had everything to lose. Losing her legacy, her revenge on the simulacrum that took her life away from her. The hacker held her close, holding the back of her head with a hand, quietly shushing her muffled sobs as he ran a hand through her hair, now knotted and wavy with the rain.
“Te amo,” she whispered into his neck, before pulling away and looking up to him, smiling despite herself as she wiped her eye, now red, though not like her usual makeup attire, with the back of her finger, smiling despite herself as she moved a hand to brush at his shoulder.  “Sorry about the makeup all over your coat.”
He couldn’t help but laugh, moving to cup her face with one hand and brush his thumb under her other eye, still wet from tears.  “Don’t worry. It’ll be fine. You will be fine. Saranghae.”
Heartfelt P-3 Deeper Still
Anna, Eva and Gwyneth are trapped in a mysterious bunker, what's worse is that something might be waiting for them in the dark. WORD COUNT - 5870
Anna woke up to a painfully sore back. Bruises were beginning to form because of Caroline’s beating and the long fall. Unnaturally cold air snaked through Anna’s entire body. Anna sat up as best as she could. She searched for her phone and turned on its light. The pitch black abyss that surrounded her burned into an desolate concrete hallway. Behind her a mountain of shattered debris formed a wall. Broken and dated lights hung from the ceiling by their bare wires. A battered direction plaque leaned against one of the walls, the text long since scraped away by weathering and rust.
Anna slowly got up onto her feet. She took deep shaky breaths as she struggled to move her aching body down the hallway. She eventually found herself at a two way split. To her left was another hallway blocked by rubble. A broken window stood in place of a wall in front of her. She peered over the edge. An abandoned cafeteria stood on a lower floor, bits of shattered glass scattered directly underneath her. Decay ridden plates laid on top of the old tables. Torn apart scraps of clothing and long since forgotten accessories littered the entire room.
“Anna?!” Eva’s voice called out from below.
Anna flashed her light forward and discovered a disgruntled looking Eva crouching over a small pile of scavenged valuables.
“Eva! Are you okay?” Anna asked.
“My butt hurts from the fall, but yeah I’m good,” Eva responded. “What are you doing up there?”
“What are you doing?” Anna gestured to the pile of valuables.
“What?” Eva glanced at the pile. “It’s not like they’re being used.”
“You don’t know who that stuff belongs to-” Anna frowned.
“Goldilocks, don’t be an idiot,” Eva gestured to their desolate surroundings. “Also, I was looking for something useful. Something like this.”
Eva grabbed a lighter from the pile. Its tiny flame sparked to life and barely illuminated her face.
“I was going to use it as a light, but now I got you. Come down here, there should be some stairs to your left- wait crap uh- my left your right,” Eva said before continuing to scavenge through the cafeteria.
Anna turned to her right to find a crumbling set of stairs. She carefully made her way down to the cafeteria and met up with Eva.
Eva’s hoodie was partially torn up. Her hair was unkempt and covered with dirt. Scratch marks and tiny cuts decorated her legs. She brushed off some dust of her skirt and stood up as Anna approached her.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Anna asked as she looked Eva over.
“You don’t look too hot yourself either, Goldilocks, but yeah I’ll live,” Eva responded.
“Good. Do you have any idea where we are?” Anna looked at their surroundings.
“Nope. Hella spooky though, and freezing. Honestly, this whole place just gives me the creeps. But panicking is the last thing we want to do right now,” Eva said as she pocketed the lighter.
“We need to find Gwyneth and get out of here.” Anna said firmly.
“Poor thing is probably bawling her eyes out right now,” Eva commented before turning towards the broken window. “Anything up there?”
“No, just a bunch of dead-ends,” Anna answered.
“Well, I came from over there,” Eva pointed at an offshoot to the left of the cafeteria. “I think- hard to tell in the darkness- which leaves our only option…”
Eva turned and pointed into the hallway in front of them. A plaque limply hung from a single bolt on top of the archway. It read “Living Quarters”.
“...god dammit,” Eva shuddered.
“Maybe we’ll find someone who can help us,” Anna started walking down the hallway.
“This place looks like it's been abandoned for years, Anna. Anything that was once alive in here has probably been dead for a very, very, long time,” Eva followed suit to try to stay near the light. “Though I don’t know if that makes me feel better or worse.”
“We don’t have anywhere else to go and Gwyneth needs our help so we need to hurry up. Maybe you can spin kick a ghost’s head off, if one shows up,” Anna turned back towards Eva with a slightly mischievous smile.
“You are some sort of messed up if you think that’s funny,” Eva huffed.
Anna replied with a drawn out giggle before looking forward again.
“...screw you,” Eva muttered.
After walking for a few moments, they found themselves at a destroyed entryway. Deep jagged cuts tore through the concrete. A thick rusting door laid torn in half by their feet. Dark stains splattered all throughout the floor.
"What the hell happened here?" Eva asked slowly as she surveyed the wreckage.
"Something tore the door open…" Anna replied.
"No, dur. What the hell that 'something' is the question… Could have been a forklift," Eva crouched down to inspect the door.
"I don't think a forklift can split a door in half," Anna looked at her with disillusionment.
"Yeah, but I'd rather be worried about machinery gone rogue than some giant mutant abomination that can cut through us like butter," Eva stood up, forcing herself to smile. "Y'know, I'm being optimistic."
"Don't be paranoid, you said it yourself whatever was down here has long since been-" Anna walked through the door.
Rows of mangled bunk beds were thrown all throughout the room. The shredded innards of mattresses coated the floor. Several skeletons wearing tattered clothes laid against the destruction. One slumped a few feet in front of Anna, it's head missing.
"-dead," Anna barely managed to get the words out.
Eva shrieked with uncharacteristic squeamishness. She crouched away from the room and clutched herself tightly.
"They're dead! What the hell happened here!? What is this place?!" Eva yelled out.
Anna ran up to her.
"Calm down, Eva!" Anna grabbed her shoulders.
"Calm down?! How the hell are you calm right now?! Something broke into this place and killed everyone, that thing could still be alive, we could be slaughtered at any minute. What even is this place anyways? Why is it under a private all girls school of all places? I HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOU'RE CALM RIGHT NOW," Eva yelled at her face.
"Because someone has to be, we can’t afford to panic, remember?" Anna said sternly. "I'm scared too, but we need to get out of here. All of us."
Eva looked up at Anna. Anna's breaths were controlled but shaky. Her eyes were determined but fear lingered in her face. Eva noticed her faint scar. This wasn't the first time Anna was this scared. Eva's breathing steadied.
"You're right. Just give me a couple minutes to calm down," Eva said as she closed her eyes.
"We don't have a couple minutes. Gwyneth could be a danger," Anna said in a soft tone.
"Yeah, yeah! I know!" Eva held out her hand, her eyes still shut. "Lead me to the other side, I'm not good with death and stuff."
"Okay," Anna grabbed her hand and stood up. "You know you can be cute sometimes."
"Keep talking and I'll crush your hand, Goldilocks," Eva growled, her eyes still shut.
Anna and Eva slowly traversed the destroyed room. Anna led Eva through the clutter of bone, forgotten items, and broken scrap. Eva meekly followed Anna’s steps, shuddering ever so slightly everytime she thought that she brushed against a skeleton. Eventually, they made it to the other side only to find another dead-end.
"So much suspense for nothing," Eva grumbled as she opened her eyes again.
"Come on, we must have missed something," Anna said as she turned around.
"No, we didn't. The only thing that we haven't explored is all the blocked hallways."
"Then we better start digging," Anna said matter of factly.
"That would literally take forever," Eva protested.
"Better than being stuck here forever-" Anna started before being interrupted.
"Help." Gwyneth's faint voice called out from underneath them.
Anna and Eva searched around them before noticing a garbage chute partially covered by the rubble.
"Come on!" Anna gestured as she propped her phone on the rubble and started pulling rocks out of the way.
"Dammit and here I thought we could avoid digging," Eva groaned before catching up and helping Anna at a much faster pace.
"Gwyneth, can you hear us?!" Anna yelled down the chute once they cleared it.
"Help." Gwyneth's trembling voice replied.
"Stay put! We're going down to get you!" Anna yelled before grabbing her phone and climbing into the chute.
"Ugh, more crap to wash off. Great," Eva groaned as she got into the chute herself.
The two slid down the grimy chute and fell into a massive dump. Trash bags full of maggots and rotting junk made the entirety of the floor. The stench of filth mixed with the frigid air to create an overwhelming air of dread. Identical chutes lined the walls like holes that stretched into the unknown. Most were out of reach and the rest clogged by piled on garbage. Anna flashed her light throughout the room. Dark splotches of mold splattered against the walls. A slick coating of putrid violet flesh squirmed as the light washed over it. Cysts full of an unknown fluid sparked to life, lighting the room with an otherworldly purple glow. Strange human sized cocoons, about 17 in total, hung from the ceiling. They wriggled ever so slightly.
"W-What is this?" Eva whimpered.
"We need to get out of here!" Anna yelled.
"Help. Please." Gwyneth's voice called out before they could do anything.
"God dammit," Eva said with a shaky voice as she ran towards Gwyneth's voice.
"Gwyneth, we’re coming!" Anna said as she followed Eva.
"Lets quickly grab her and get out of this hell hole!" Eva climbed over a mound of trash, her feet pushing against several half empty bottles of alcohol.
A few feet in front of Eva sat Gwyneth curled up into a ball. Strange and incredibly faint cuts swirled their way up the entirety of her body. Her uniform was barely held together by tatters. Blood poured from her temple onto the trash below.
"Anna, I found her. She's in really bad shape!" Eva yelled as she kneeled next to Gwyneth.
Anna soon caught up and went to her side as well. The two of them propped Gwyneth on their shoulders and began to carry her.
"How do we get out? We can't carry her back up the chute," Anna said as they began to slowly walk forward.
"Look for an exit, there has to be one somewhere," Eva replied.
"Door." Gwyneth limply pointed at the wall opposite to them.
An old, nearly rusted over door labeled “Maintenance” stood in the middle of the wall. Anna and Eva nodded to each other before moving towards the door. The flesh on the walls began to writhe uncontrollably as it crept closer and closer towards them. One of the cocoons shook violently as something tried to force its way out.
"We need to hurry," Anna said as she picked up her pace.
"I'm trying but deadweight over here ain't exactly helping. Soft my ass, she's heavy as all hell-" Eva complained.
"GET AWAY FROM IT!" Gwyneth's voice boomed from above them.
Anna looked up at the ceiling. Gwyneth hung upside down from the cocoon that shook violently. She took heavy exhausted breaths. Her face was horrified.
"Wait, who the hell is this then?-" Eva turned to face the Gwyneth they were carrying only to get thrown across the room.
"EVA!" Anna yelled as Eva smashed against a pile of trash bags and rolled onto the floor.
Anna quickly moved away from the fake Gwyneth and grabbed a broken iron pipe from the junk. She turned around and swung hard against the fake Gwyneth's temple. The pipe snapped into two pieces as it collided against the fake Gwyneth, seemingly unharmed. Anna clutched her aching palms that hurt from the recoil of the blow. The fake Gwyneth tilted it's head to the one side.
"Help. You." It said slowly in a deep breathy voice.
The fake Gwyneth began to twitch violently. The cuts throughout its body burst open. The sound of cracking bones echoed out of it as it began to shift it's form. It's body twisted and unraveled from Gwyneth's skin to putrid purple muscles. It's limbs crunched as they elongated to their original length. Rows of fang like bones stabbed through it's slimy skin and formed a light suit of armor. It's hair melted into three squishy points that resembled a jester's hat. It's face hollowed into a mouthless, nose-less, and eyeless mask- deep indentations sitting where the eyes should be. Tendrils slithered through the cracks in its body and finished shifting everything into its place. A pitch black orb rolled out of it's stomach and up into a cavity in its chest. A slab of bony ribs slid over it as it clicked into place. The Jester hunched over Anna, it's hideous form towering several feet above her.
Anna stood scared stiff at the transformation that occurred in front of her.
"Anna!" Gwyneth yelled as the Jester raised it's arm and large claws shot out of it.
Anna's face hardened as she snapped back to life. She narrowly ducked out of the way as the claws cleaved through the concrete effortlessly. Anna hopped back onto her feet and threw her broken pipe at the Jester’s head. It bounced off it doing no harm.
"Just run! You can’t hurt that thing!" Gwyneth yelled from above.
The Jester let out a raspy howl and turned towards Anna. Anna narrowly sidestepped the tendrils that shot out of its body and past her. Before she could react, it yanked itself towards her with blinding speed and pinned her against the ground. Anna struggled in vain as the Jester’s face cracked open and numerous tendrils poured out of it.
"Save. You." It gargled out as the tendrils began wrapping around Anna's body.
Anna's breaths quickened to panicked pants as her body became harder and harder to move. She took one last shaky breath as everything around her was plunged into darkness. Anna shivered as she felt herself get wrapped in a cold, damp cocoon.
"...help me….save me," Anna heard very faintly in the back of her head.
Anna gasped in a heavy breath of air as the tendrils suddenly shriveled up around her. She looked up to see the Jester engulfed in flames. Shards of a broken liquor bottle were stuck to its face. Anna rolled out of the way and got back onto her feet.
"Now we're even, Anna," Eva yelled through gritted teeth from the top of a pile of garbage, a lit Molotov cocktail in hand.
The Jester howled in pain as the fire ate at its boney flesh.
"Shut it you ugly crone," Eva screamed as she threw another Molotov against its body.
Anna ran towards Gwyneth.
"Gwyneth, drop down I’ll catch you!" She shouted at her.
"The drop is too long, I don’t think I can-" Gwyneth said nervously.
"Don't worry, I'll catch you," Anna said firmly.
"O-okay" Gwyneth whimpered.
Gwyneth shut her eyes as she pushed against the cocoon. She shrieked loudly as she fell from the ceiling. Anna braced herself and caught her as she fell, sending the two of them onto the floor.
"You okay?" Anna grunted.
"I'm okay," Gwyneth replied slowly.
"Glad you're both safe," Eva said quickly as she ran up to them. "But on your feet, I'm out of junkyard moonshine to light on fire.".
Eva helped Anna and Gwyneth onto their feet and the three of them ran towards the door. Anna rammed it open and the three found themselves at yet another dead end.
"What a sadistic piece of crap, it wanted to lead us to a dead end to kill us!" Eva exclaimed.
"Not exactly," Anna pointed to an exposed air vent on the ceiling.
"Finally, somewhere I can get to easily" Eva said as she ran up to the vent and jumped upwards.
Eva grabbed the ends of the vent and pulled herself up.
"Your turn, Gwyneth," Eva held her hand out.
"Come on we have to hurry," Anna said as she kneeled under the vent and held her hands ready to boost Gwyneth up. "Hop on".
Gwyneth shakingly stood on Anna's hands. Together the two of them managed to pull Gwyneth up into the vent.
"Goldilocks!" Eva exclaimed as she stuck her hand out.
Anna was about to jump when the door burst completely off its hinges. The Jester forced its way in. The melted flesh on its face slowly squirmed back into place. Two tendrils shot past Anna and into the rubble behind her.
Anna threw herself prone onto the floor. The Jester pounced above her into the rubble behind her.
“That won’t work on me twice,” Anna said with a determined glare.
She jumped and caught Eva’s hand. An echoing roar coursed up to them as she climbed into the air ducts.
“SAVE. YOU.” It roared as its alcohol drenched tendrils stabbed into the air ducts.
“God damn persistent piece of-” Eva grunted as she sparked her lighter to life.
She quickly crushed it against the duct. The lighter fluid ignited into a weak flame, but it was enough to reignite the alcohol and cause the tendrils to retreat in howling pain. The three of them began crawling through the air ducts as fast as they could. Eventually they found themselves at an old vent cover.
“Well, without that lighter we can't defend ourselves. Let’s hurry and get the hell out of here,” Eva huffed with adrenaline as she kicked open the vent cover.
“We must be closer to the surface by now. Hopefully we can find out from here,” Anna said as she hopped out of the air ducts.
“Y-Yeah…” Gwyneth said quietly as she hopped out as well.
“What’s wrong?” Anna asked with a tender gaze.
“I’m cold,” Gwyneth shivered.
Her clothes were soaked in a mysterious fluid that was frigid to the touch.
“Jesus, that thing really did a number on you huh?” Eva said as she took off her hoodie.
It was cheaply made and several sizes too big. The large gash tore through one of the pockets, making it so that it barely hung onto the hoodie.
“Wear it, warm up. It’s not much but the last thing I want is to be dragging around a corpse,” Eva tossed it towards Gwyneth.
“Thank you…” Gwyneth looked at it for a few seconds before putting it on.
The three of them surveyed their surroundings and found themselves in a nearly empty room. A large vault gate took the place of the wall farthest to them. Eight massive deadbolts lined each side of it, locking the gate more than securely in place. A small cubicle hugged the corner of one of the rooms.
“I think this is our way out,” Gwyneth said as she walked into the cubicle.
It was a cramped thing with barely enough room for the chair and computer that sat in it. The computer was incredibly dated. It had an LCD display and a clunky keyboard that was covered in a thick layer of dust. Latched onto the wall was a broken in half shotgun. Gwyneth sat down and turned the computer on, its screen hummed to life.
“What are you doing?” Eva raised a brow as Gwyneth began clicking away.
“Seeing if there is anything useful on this thing,” Gwyneth squinted as she wrote command after command.
“So... are you like hacking it?” Eva said with a tinge of meekness.
“No, I don’t know how to do that. But I have some friends that love computers and they taught me how to use old operating systems like this one. They also taught me how to fiddle with radio signals, that's how I was able to mess with Warden 06’s radio before,” Gwyneth’s voice turned slightly somber. “They taught me that stuff just to annoy me, but who could have known that it would turn out to be useful…”
“You’ll see your friends again and once we regain our strength we’ll save Sophie too,” Anna said in a comforting tone.
“Yeah… Thanks, Anna,” Gwyneth said before continuing to tap away at the keyboard.
Eva stared at the two in silence. She averted her gaze, guilt washing over her face.
“Okay, okay!” Gwyneth’s face lit up as she finished typing. “I think I can unlock the gate”.
“That’s amazing to hear,” Anna sighed in relief.
“Okay, if I run this…” Gwyneth tapped a few times.
The sound of screeching metal echoed through the room as the deadlocks creaked out of view. A guttural roar emitted out the last one as it suddenly stopped.
“One of them jammed,” Gwyneth frowned. “I can’t open the gate without all of them being unlocked.”
“It’s almost all the way in,” Eva grabbed the stock end of the shotgun. “A little elbow grease should do it. Come help, Goldilocks”.
“Sure,” Anna said as she followed Eva to the stuck deadbolt.
“Here, whack it,” Eva handed the shotgun half to Anna.
Anna grabbed it and focused. She smashed the stock against the bolt causing it to inch slightly. She took a deep breath and smashed it again. With every bash the bolt moved closer and closer to being unlocked.
“My turn,” Eva held out her hand once Anna had exhausted herself.
Anna handed her the shotgun and Eva smashed the deadbolt with a hearty thud. The deadbolt lurched forward, a mere inch from being unlocked. Eva grit her teeth and rammed it as hard as she could. The shotgun split into broken parts as the deadbolt fell into place.
“Doors unlocked, hurry up and open it!” Eva yelled towards Gwyneth and then turned around.
Gwyneth stood in front of them with a furious face. She clenched the barrel end of the shotgun tightly with one hand, on the other she held an ID.
“What’s wrong?” Anna asked as she noticed Gwyneth’s erratic breathing.
“What is this doing in your hoodie’s pocket, Eva?” Gwyneth held out an ID.
The image of Sophie’s lint covered ID barely peered through the darkness. Anna turned towards Eva in shock. Eva simply stood with her fists clenched.
“Why do you have this?! Did you do something to Sophie?” Gwyneth stomped closer towards the two of them.
Eva remained silent.
“Answer me!” Gwyneth yelled.
Eva clenched her fists until her knuckles went white.
“I knew your name sounded familiar, you’re that Eva. The Eva that blackmails and harasses students until their lives are ruined. The Eva that every freshman is told to stay far away from. The two faced, spineless, worthless piece of human filth, Eva Moore!” Gwyneth howled at the top of her lungs
“Shut the hell up you effing brat, you have no idea what you’re talking about,” Eva roared back.
“I know exactly what I’m talking about. You’re the reason why Sophie is always so depressed. You’re the reason that everyone avoids her. It's because of you that she’s in this place. It’s because of you that we’re in this mess in the first place. All because you’re a bully that can’t live without terrorizing others.” Gwyneth’s eyes began to water as her words quickened.
“It’s not my fault her dumbass got captured by that thing. Yet, here I am forced to crawl through this murder den and deal with you- a pathetic weak child- so that Sophie can go back to being pampered by her psychopath parents. Y’know what, I’m glad she’s in this mess. All I did was give her what she deserved,” Eva said coldly.
Anna looked at her with disbelief. Gwyneth’s mouth gaped open in shock. Her breaths quickened as she sprinted forward.
“You monster!” Gwyneth yelled at the top of her lungs while swinging the broken shotgun at her face.
Before Eva could react Anna stood in between the two and grabbed the shotgun.
“Anna?!” Gwyneth and Eva said in unison.
“Enough, both of you! Fighting now isn’t going to get us out of here, it isn’t going to save Sophie either,” Anna glanced between the two of them. “While we spend time arguing, that thing is catching up to us. We need to work together or else we will end up in cocoons like the others.”
“But-” Gwyneth started before stopping at the sight of Anna’s glare.
“Like hell I’m calming down, that brat called me an effing-” Eva stopped as Anna roared in a surprisingly loud voice.
“Eva you are smarter than this, stop wasting our time! What, are you trying to get yourself killed by that thing?!”
Eva and Gwyneth looked at her with anger and dejection respectively. After a few moments the two relaxed a little.
“Good, I’ll get the gate open and you too start making your way out,” Anna walked towards the computer. “We’ll talk about what you did to Sophie later, Eva.” Anna turned around and stared directly into Eva’s eyes.
“Whatever,” Eva spat as Anna walked away.
Anna looked at the computer screen.
“Press enter to continue”, a simple prompt read.
Anna pressed enter and the door began to churn to life. It slowly slid down into the floor, revealing stairs that led up to an exit. Anna’s head snapped towards the air duct as the sound of something shattering pierced through the concrete.
The Jester’s body poked halfway out of the air vent. Its neck split open and a tentacle shot out piercing the gate and stopping it from lowering further. Anna sprung out of the room and brandished the barrel of the shotgun. She smashed it against the tendril, causing it to unhook from the door and slightly bend the barrel. A massive crash roared out as the gate fell down. The Jester’s mouth gaped open and shot another tendril. Anna reacted in time and swung the barrel against it, causing the tendril to pierce into the ground behind her.
“Anna!” Gwyneth yelled as the gate finally lowered and allowed access to the stairs.
“Hurry up, Goldilocks!” Eva screamed.
Anna turned around and ran towards them. The sound of another part of the Jester’s body snapping open clicked behind her. Anna turned around to see two more tendrils shooting towards her. Anna narrowly stepped out of the way as they zoomed past her and towards Eva and Gwyneth. Eva managed to duck in time but Gwyneth yelped in pain as it grazed her side. The Jester began pulling itself out of the duct, its body contorting unnaturally to force its way through. Anna attacked the two tendrils, causing them to detach and erasing the progress that the Jester made.
“Just go, it’ll force its way out if I don't stop it!” Anna yelled at Eva and Gwyneth before turning back towards the Jester.
“No, we’re not leaving without you,” Gwyneth pleaded.
“Yeah, Anna. Hurry up, we can outrun that thing-” Eva said.
“JUST GO!” Anna hollered at them.
Eva stared at Anna as she held her bent, nearly broken, makeshift weapon in her hands ready to swing at any other tendrils that shot out. She noticed Anna’s firm stance, her calm and steady breaths. Anna glanced towards her with eyes filled with a furious determination.
“God dammit,” Eva muttered with a pained face before grabbing Gwyneth and dragging her up the stairs.
“What the hell are you doing?! We can’t leave her there on her own, we have to help her!” Gwyneth yelled in a panicky voice.
“We can’t help her if we’re dead, she said it herself we regain our strength and then we can save the day,” Eva grunted as she struggled to hold Gwyneth back.
“No, I’m not leaving her!” Gwyneth kicked and screamed as she tried to break free.
“We don’t have a choice!” Eva yelled into her ears.
The two slowly made their way up the stairs. Anna gave a relieved smile as she saw them approach the exit. She turned towards the Jester.
“I. Save. You.” It groaned as countless holes split out of its mouth.
“So you’ve said,” Anna braced herself. “Got anything new?”
Numerous tendrils shot out of its mangled body. Anna weaved in between them and deflected as many as she could. Pain surged through her body as the tendrils grazed her arms and legs. The shotgun’s barrel shattered to pieces as a tendril impaled through it. Anna fell onto the floor overwhelmed by the Jester's attacks. The wall crumbled into debris as the Jester yanked itself through. Its twisted and broken body stretched into a set of quadrupedal legs. More flesh burst out of its back and formed a makeshift torso. Flesh shifted into place as it carried the black orb to the center of its new chest. The tendrils retreated back to the main body, each carrying a chunk of concrete. They wrapped themselves into a set of arms. A massive cobbled together concrete lance reinforced with bone was wedged within the stringy flesh of one of them. A new head shaped itself at the top of the abomination of muscle and bone. The Jester turned grotesque Centaur howled with such ferocity that it shook the entire room.
“Save...” The Centaur stomped towards Anna as she tried to stand up and run, causing her to lose balance and fall back onto the ground.
“...you.” The Centaur cleaved the lance towards the gate and completely destroyed it.
Anna looked in fear as her only exit became nothing more than a pile of rubble. She turned to face the Centaur that towered above her.
“Take. You. Home.” It said slowly, its stomach opening up to an endless sea of tendrils.
Dread began to set into Anna. Her vision became slurred from the tears that began to well in her eyes as the tendrils inched towards her.
“I’m sorry, dad,” Anna whimpered as her hope vanished.
“Don’t be sorry yet...” Caroline’s voice rang from behind the rubble.
Two bright flashes of dark green light cut an X through the rubble, destroying it instantly. Caroline shot towards the Centaur brandishing two ethereal green sickles. She swung upwards at the Centaur. Its arms were cut clean off as the sickles effortlessly burned through its flesh. The lance shattered onto the floor as the Centaur tripped backwards in hollering pain. Pitch black smoke billowed out of its wounds.
Caroline stood in front of Anna. The green in her Warden’s uniform glowed the same shade as her sickles. Her coat fluttered in the air from how fast she moved. An emerald green crystal heart took the place of the sigil that was sat on her badge.
“...there’s still much more pain in store for you,” Caroline gave Anna a cold look before removing her coat and letting it fall to the floor.
The Centaur roared again as more tendrils shot out of its body and reformed its damaged arms. Bit of its chest became exposed, revealing the black orb.
“There you are,” Caroline rolled her shoulders before readying her sickles once more. “I hope you're a fighter.”
Caroline swung forward in an X pattern. The Centaur hopped backwards and avoided the attack. Chunks of concrete shot from the ground as it landed. It quickly grabbed them and threw them at Caroline with blinding speed. Caroline effortlessly avoided them and cut one chunk in half before it hit Anna. She pirouette forward and swung downwards with her right sickle. It hooked onto the Centaur's back causing it to yelp in pain. The Centaur swung its free arm towards her. Caroline cut through it, causing it to fall onto the floor as a lifeless stump. Before the Centaur could even scream in pain, she spun her free sickle and cleaved its chest wide open. The Centaur attempted to stomp on her legs in desperation. She hopped over its legs and pushed against its body. The sickle wedged in its back cut through its entire torso and hooked into the black orb as she did. She leaped off of its body, the black orb stuck to her sickle, and landed a few feet in front of the Centaur with her back towards it. The Centaur gave out a blood curdling battle cry as its body unraveled into a mess of coiled tendrils ready to spring towards Caroline.
“Hmm,” Caroline said as she hooked her other sickle into the orb. “Apparently not.”
Caroline turned around to see a wall of tendrils speeding towards her. She gave a sadistic grin as she pulled her two sickles apart cutting the orb in half. A ghastly wail echoed out of the Centaur as its tendrils fell limp. Its body began to dissolve into a dark violet smog.
“...save...me…” Anna heard faintly as the Centaur’s body dissipated into nothing.
Anna sat up as best as she could and looked at the remains of the orb. Its obsidian like form glistened with a faint light that rapidly snuffed into lifelessness. Anna looked up at Caroline through her pain and exhaustion.
"Sorrow neutralized," Caroline said into her radio. "Moving to extract the intruder."
“What are you?” Anna could barely manage to ask.
“The time for questions will come later. For now you and your friends have to go to pay for all the damage that you all have caused,” Caroline crouched low until she was face to face with Anna. “Welcome to a world of Sorrows, Miss Anna. I wonder if you’ll survive.”
A slight grin stretched across Caroline’s face as Anna’s vision faded to darkness.
Beatriz blew on her tea as she finished stirring it. She took a sip and stared peacefully at the sunny day that surrounded her. Her black hair had a few white strands and was tied into a braided bun. Her face was slightly wrinkled but her emerald green eyes burned with an eternal youth. She wore a uniform similar to Caroline's, but instead of having a gaudy coat she wore a simple scarf. A woman holding a folder approached Beatriz as she continued enjoying her tea.
"Lovely day is it not, dear," Beatriz smiled at the woman.
"Good morning, Mrs. Reine," The woman opened the folder and began reading from it. "An incident has occurred at Central Station, the chief is currently busy addressing issues in the D.E. Atham's academy and has requested your aid in alleviating the issue."
"Oh my, what could have occurred that would require my help?" Beatriz asked.
"Three intruders discovered the abandoned sections of the Central Station and unearthed a Sorrow nest. Two managed to escape to the surface before being captured by Caroline's team, the other was saved by Caroline herself."
"I see," Beatriz lowered her tea onto a small dish below her. "Why was the other saved by Caroline?"
"According to the mission report, it seems she stayed behind to stop the Sorrow from attacking her accomplices."
Beatriz looked up at the woman with a slight awe.
"What is her name?" Beatriz asked.
"Anna, Anna Hjarta," The woman replied.
"Anna…" Beatriz took one last sip from her tea. "What a pretty name".
Old Habits Die Hard-Adam Sackler
Post Break up with Sackler? ❤️ you’re pretending we’re still together because my relatives will disprove of the break up so you’re being all sweet it’s reminding me of why i fell in love with you in the first place annnnnnnd maybe I kissed you goodbye by accident... old habits die hard okay?
I am sorry this took so long but honestly it gave me all kinds of ideas and I had to write this whole thing out. Also, side note, Adam talks about not liking his parents and having a grandmother who sent him money every month so I liked the idea of her being the one that he cared about.
Tumblr media
Was this actually real fucking life?  It couldn’t be, not really.  It couldn’t be that you were here, in a car with Adam and Caroline heading for upstate New York and the Sackler’s Grandmothers house. When Adam had come to her to ask her about it, she had thought he was clinically insane. You guys had broken up almost two months ago, after a screaming match where you both had said things you weren’t sure you’d ever come back from and it had been extremely awkward seeing as you both lived in the old apartment still. (It’s New York and the rent was good and you were poor). You had both only very recently begun talking to each other let alone asking for favors. And wasn’t that exactly what this was? When Adam had stopped you one night after brushing your teeth in the small hall, he had looked so sincere it had thrown you off balance for a moment.  “Listen Kid, I know I’ve got no right to…but…fuck me, I need you to…” he ran a hand over his face, growling deep in his throat before you placed a hand on his bicep to calm him down.
“Just ask me whatever you want to ask me Adam,” you said softly, the first time you’ve both had a polite conversation since you could remember.   “My Grandma’s 90th Birthday party is coming up and Caroline and I are heading to see her…and if I show up alone it’s gonna be a fucking wreck…See I told her all about you, but I never told her that…Can you come with me?  I’ll do whatever you want Kid, whatever it takes…I’ll give you head…I’ll let you tie me up…I’ll” you laugh and put your hand over his mouth.
“I’ll come…Sure I’ll come…” you said, taking your hand away.  “I wouldn’t want to disappoint your Grandma…besides she may take her money back and then we’d both be on our asses and I can’t do the whole living in a box in New York trope.” You tease.  And now you’re on your way, feeling extremely awkward as Caroline looks up from the back seat at you and Adam as if to see if she can tell the difference in you both.
Walking throughout the party center are Grandma Sackler’s friends, various relatives and your favorite, people carrying around different hors d'oeuvres on silver platters.  When Adam had told you the party was going to be a Hollywood Golden Age party you had been too excited to dress up in your best impression of (your favorite old time Hollywood Starlet), but you were even more excited for the food that would come along. You had been to one Sackler event when you and Adam had first starting rooming together and you knew Grandma Sackler didn’t scrimp when it came to the food choices.  You were just about to grab another of those fabulous little puff pastries filled with something you weren’t sure you had ever tasted before when you felt Adam’s hand on your lower back as he stepped up beside you.  He looked very dapper in his suit and you gave him a smile, reaching up to straighten his tie.  “Having fun?” you asked, feeling the tension radiating off of him, his fingers ever so lightly digging into your skin as he looked around.
“Yes…no…fuck no…” he said looking down at you.  “I hate this shit…it’s all so fake…it’s all so…” “Put on?” You both turned to see his Grandma walking over, her cane tapping on the floor of the rented ballroom.  She looks like an absolute million bucks and you smile at her.  “Don’t I know it…But honestly this is my last big party so I may as well go all out.” She says giving her grandson a loving but exasperated smile.
“I don’t believe that for a moment Mrs. Sackler,” you say with a smile at her.
“Come give me a hug Ms. Superstar,” she says opening her arms to you.  “And what have I told you about calling me Mrs. Sackler…its Grandma, and if you can’t bring yourself to call someone who looks as fabulous as me Grandma you can always call me Gigi.” She smiles as you share a hug before stepping back, taking Adam’s hand in yours, giving it a small reassuring squeeze as he leans in and wraps his Grandmother in a hug.
“Hi Grandma,” he murmurs stepping back and flipping his hair out of his eyes.  “Happy Birthday”
“Thank you my dear, I’m glad you and your sister could make it, although she looks dressed more like a Hollywood porn star than a movie star.”  You chuckled softly, thinking that Adam and his Grandma shared the same kind of matter of fact demeanor and disregard for anything other than what they thought.
“Once she had the kid, she’s been extra proud of her figure or something…” Adam said with a shrug.
“Oh…That reminds me…” You said shaking your head, handing Adam your champagne flute before reaching into your small purse.  “I forgot that I was holding onto this,” you said pulling out the card and small black mesh gift bag.  “This is just a little gift from Adam and I” you said handing it over to her.  Adam looked at you questioningly but you just shook your head as she opened the card and then the small little pouch.  Inside was a necklace that went along with the theme of the night.  “We thought you might like something a little sparkly to go along with the memory of tonight…I was supposed to put it on the gift table but I completely forgot.”
“It’s beautiful, Adam, put it on me” she demanded handing it to him and moving her hair out of his way.  He clasped it to her neck before taking a step back to you.  “However did you pick it?”
“I just trusted this one,” he said looking down at you, you looking up at him and giving him a cute smile and wink.  He leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to your lips, grateful when you went along with it, and didn’t act as surprised as he felt he might be in this moment.
“Well keep this one…I like her much better than that Jessa girl, and ugh don’t even get me started on Hannah…” Grandma Sackler said before waving at someone in the crowd.  “Excuse me you two, come say goodbye before you leave tonight”. She said before walking away.
“That was a fucking beast move you pulled there kid,” he said looking down at you.  “You really think of everything don’t you?”
“I figured you’d probably have forgotten about it, and I couldn’t help it…I saw the necklace when I was shopping and I knew she’d love it…”
“You really saved my ass…Listen…”
“Adam!” Caroline screamed from across the room.  “Come look at this fucking ice sculpture”. You laughed and nodded in her direction.
“You better go look at it before she goes insane”
“Can we talk later?”
“Adam!”
“Of course…Go go go” you said pushing him towards his sister with a laugh.  He gave an exaggerated sigh and went leaving you with tingling lips and the beginning of something akin to want bubbling in your stomach.  You watched Adam and his sister, Caroline forcing Adam to dance with her and shook your head with a laugh.  How was it that in this moment, you couldn’t remember why you had ended the relationship?  And why was it, that all you could think about was his lips on yours?  If you were going to make it through the rest of the night you’d really need to stop thinking about that.  You shook your head and headed for the bathroom to splash some cold water on your face.
Fixing your lipstick in the mirror you heard the door open and looked over surprised to see Adam.  “Did you know you’re in the wrong room?” you asked with a smile as you put your lipstick back in your purse.  Adam walked over and pushed each bathroom stall door open before going back to the door and locking it before crossing to you in three long strides and grabbing your face in his hands.  He leaned down and pressed his lips to yours in a passionate mix of need and want.  When he finally pulls away you’re breathless.  “Adam…” you murmur out.
“God that was fucking sexy you know…” he asks, his hands running down your sides and to your hips, lifting you and placing you on the small vanity table one always finds in fancy hotel bathrooms.  “You come here looking like a fucking whole ass meal…you impress everyone in my family that I give two shits about,” he murmurs placing kisses against your throat, his hands coming up to pull the fancy hair pins in your hair out.  “I’ve been half hard all night long and I can’t do this anymore.” He pulls back to look down at you as he bunches your dress up to your hips revealing your lacy lingerie.  “Now,” he says sinking to his knees, lifting your legs and hooking them over his shoulders.  “You can tell me no if you want,” he said peppering your thigh with kisses.  “But I think I’ll die if you don’t let me eat this pussy right now.” His brown eyes search yours for a yes or a no.  You lick your lips, already feeling how wet you are before nodding at him, giving him the okay.  “Thank fucking god,” he groans licking your panty covered slit.  His hands fluttered for a moment before he shrugged and ripped the lacy things at the hips letting them fall in shreds to the table.  “I’ll buy you another fucking pair…don’t be mad” he said before burying his face in between your legs, his large tongue licking straight up your slit, collecting your sweet slick with a groan.  A gasp falls from your lips, your fingers going into his hair to hold him there.  How was it possible that you could forget how good he was with that tongue of his?  “God you taste so fucking good,” he moans with a smirk up at you, sucking two of his fingers for a moment before pressing them into you.  Your hips push towards him as you clench around him.  “Do you feel how much your cunt wants this?  How fucking tight you are?” he asks, his other hand pulling your lips apart so he can stare at the way his fingers disappear into you before he leans down and puts his lips around your clit and gives it a suck.
“Oh fuck!” Your hands going back into his hair, pulling at the roots.  He continues his assault, the sounds of your slick being fucked into you and the sounds he makes as he messily eats you out the only thing you can hear over your whimpers and moans.  He pulls his fingers from you, replacing them with his tongue, his wet fingers wrapping around your thighs as he pulls your legs even farther apart.  You wrap your legs tighter around him, your hips moving against his mouth as you hold him to you.  You feel him chuckle against you, the vibrations going straight through your clit and deep into your core.  “Shit…” you groaned out, trying to disengage from holding him so tightly.
“No no…” he groans pulling back to look up at you.  “Smother me in your tight little pussy…let me die here…fuck my face,” he said, biting at your inner thigh.  “I want you to cum down my throat…can you do that kid?”  He waits for your hands in his hair pressing him back to where you want him before he continues to suck and nibble at your clit, his fingers curving up to find that spot that sends your toes curling in your heels, that dig into his back as you pull him closer.
“Fuck…I’m so…so close” you pant out, your hips moving against Adam’s mouth and his fingers.  He presses another of his large digits into you and hits that spot before he bites down on your clit again and then it’s like you’ve lost all connection to this reality as you cum against his fingers and into his waiting mouth, your walls clenching around his fingers so tightly that he has to coax you to relax so he can remove them from you.  He stands and brings his hand to his lips and sucks his fingers clean as he lets you sit back against the wall, panting slightly your cheeks his favorite just fucked pink.  You look up at him and he smiles down at you. “You did so fucking good kid,” he said leaning down and pressing his lips to yours, letting you taste yourself on his lips and his tongue.  “Now…let’s go say goodbye so I can take your upstairs and fuck you on one of the balconies so everyone can see.”
Bad Reputation
California Superior Court, Beverly Hills CA - Tuesday, 11 July
“Objection, Your Honor! Opposing Counsel is badgering the witness.”
“Since when did asking a perfectly normal question constitute badgering?” She could feel his blue eyes boring into her, almost like he was trying to remember her naked.
Ass.
“Overruled, Ms Forbes,” the judge replied, not before casting an unimpressed glance in the defense attorney’s direction. “But if I was you, I’d stop talking back, Mr Mikaelson.”
“Apologies, Your Honor,” he said, sending her his signature smirk. “It won’t happen again.”
Ass.
Caroline Forbes thrived on competition which was why she was known as one of the best defamation lawyers in California. Celebrities far and wide flocked to Caroline for her services and winning track record.
Unfortunately, she could see her unblemished run slipping away and it was all thanks to him.
LA Times Offices, El Segundo, CA - Friday 9 April (3 months earlier)
Caroline consulted her appearance in the reflection of the elevator, straightening her black, suit jacket as the floor numbers ascended.
The opposing counsel in her current case had requested a pre-trial meeting. As much as she loved the adversarial thrill of the courtroom, she wasn’t going to complain if the Los Angeles Times decided to write a big, fat cheque to her client.
Skylar Lopez was a well known Hollywood actress who’d suffered significant financial loss after the Los Angeles Times ran an article asserting she was unprofessional and difficult on set. Caroline had her fair share of questionable clients but she knew Skylar had been unfairly treated.
Caroline had dealt with the Times on a number of occasions and was confident she’d walk out of the meeting triumphant.
Until the tables were turned.
Walking towards the boardroom, Caroline was already imagining what would transpire. They’d offer a settlement that was too low but would ultimately meet her client’s demand.
She was just that good. However, upon entering the room, everything changed when she saw him.
His back was turned but, after all these years, she couldn’t mistake those broad shoulders even housed in a grey, suit jacket. Those dark, blonde curls were still slightly unruly like she remembered and she could still recall just how good it felt combing her fingers through them.
Caroline liked to be in control and suddenly she felt like she was in freefall. He turned to face her, almost like he could sense her anxiety.
Between the slight stubble and crimson lips, Caroline knew she was in trouble. The guy could also wear a suit and it should have been illegal given how well it moulded to his toned physique.
“Hello, love.” It was a greeting she knew all too well and immediately transported her back in time to college.
“What are you doing here?” Caroline hoped it didn’t sound as shaky as it felt.
“Is this how you greet all your opposing counsels?” With his left eyebrow cocked, Caroline was trying to pretend it didn’t look sexy.
“You are not my opposing counsel.”
“Well, that’s where you’re wrong,” he replied, sliding a manila folder towards her. “I’m acting for the defense.”
“But how? I thought you were in DC acting for all those questionable politicians.” It came out before she could stop it.
Yes, maybe she’d followed him over the years since law school graduation but this wasn’t the way she saw their reunion going.
“Sounds like someone has been stalking me.”
“You wish,” she growled, placing her briefcase on the table and consulting the folder he’d provided. “And, as a lawyer, I’m well aware of the fact that stalking is an illegal offence in all fifty states.” She couldn’t miss the way his left dimple made an unwelcome appearance at that point.
“Fine. I guess you could say I felt like a change and, between you and me, those DC winters are a real killer without someone to keep you warm.”
Ass.
“Why don’t I believe you, Mikaelson?”
“I suppose that’s your problem, not mine, Forbes.” Their gazes lingered, Caroline attempting to look away but failing miserably.
Ass.
“My client is willing to offer a generous settlement,” he said, breaking their trance and handing her another piece of paper, his hand grazing hers teasingly in the process.
“I’ll bet,” she shot back, finally regaining her composure. She looked at the page and was immediately insulted by the supposedly ‘generous’ offer. “This is a joke, right?”
“Do I look like I’m laughing?”
“This is insulting and you can pass that onto your client,” she offered. “Unless you’d like to meet my client’s demands here and now and save us all some time and money.”
“That’s the final offer, take it or leave it,” he uttered, his jaw clenched. Caroline knew enough of Klaus to realise he meant it.
“Right, so, if we’re finished here, I suppose I’ll see you at trial?”
“Yes you will,” he promised. “You know during all those mock trials at Harvard, I always hoped that we’d meet up again and settle this for good.”
Caroline stilled, knowing just how those mock trials ended after dark. In her dorm room between the sheets, all the pent up energy leading to one hell of a crescendo.
“Unlike those mock trials when I was young and naive, I’m not going to sleep with you.”
“That’s a real shame, love.”
Ass.
“See you in court.” She left, albeit on shaky legs, before the creeping blush threatened to reveal itself and her true feelings.
She loved the idiot but she didn’t want him to know that. Ever.
Honor Bar, Beverly Hills CA - Monday 27 July (2 weeks later)
Turns out Caroline’s fears were premature and unfounded.
She won the case, like many before it, and Skylar received full damages from the Los Angeles Times for defamation.
Instead of gloating over her unexpected win, she was currently drowning her sorrows in vodka. Or maybe it was her coping mechanism to block out the fun they could be having in a bed further uptown.
“I was a little upset you didn’t invite me to the party.” She turned, knowing that familiar voice all too well.
“Do you have a tracking device on me or something?”
“Your personal assistant thought I should know your whereabouts to provide the final paperwork,” he said, gesturing to the barwoman for a drink. Caroline couldn’t miss the flutter of her eyelashes knowing the effect he had on women.
She hated that she felt it too.
“Of course she did,” she growled, knowing he’d sweet talked Lexi too. “You’re such an ass.” Caroline was proud of the fact she finally verbalised it after all these months of control.
“Says the defamation warrior,” he whistled, taking a sip of his drink. He’d shed his suit since their last meeting and she couldn’t miss just how good he looked in that navy henley and jeans. It was almost like they’d gone back in time to Boston.
“It’s true and, quite frankly, you deserved it.”
“Last time I checked you left me, sweetheart.”
“We were both heading in different directions after graduation and excuse me if your reputation didn’t fill me with much confidence.”
“Wow,” he murmured, his gaze downcast. “I’ve followed your career too and what you’ve done is nothing short of phenomenal, not that I was expecting any less given your intelligence, dogged determination and ambition. But it seems as if you’ve not learned the biggest lesson.”
“And what exactly is that?”
“Not to judge a book by its cover,” he responded sincerely, his eyes now aligned with hers. “I love you, always have, but it seemed like what we had didn’t mean enough for you to try.”
“Well then, you’re mistaken,” Caroline replied gruffly, turning to face him. “I haven’t stopped thinking about you since college.”
“You better hope I don’t report you to the police for all of that stalking, love.”
“Just shut up and kiss me, Mikaelson,” she insisted, grabbing handfuls of his shirt and pulling him closer.
His lips felt familiar, like nothing had changed and Caroline didn’t mind that one bit. He promised to beat her in court next time and she relished in the impending challenge.
It was what they did after all.
