Hello everyone! Just wanted to give an update and let you all know there likely won't be a chapter update for another week to three weeks. Got some IRL stuff going on and have also been accepted into two Owl House fanzines, so a lot is filling up the braincage at the moment. But, for fun, made some sketches of the peeps in-story for y'all. Let me know if you maybe want to see more updates like this!

If you have any story or lore questions, send them on over! I'll be happy to answer (so long as I don't spoil anything for you~)!

In this update I have also written in an address to some tagging concerns brought to my attention. It is simply a repeat of my tumblr post, so if you’ve seen that you can disregard.

Qcellbit is such a funny little character with the most tragic hilarious insane backstory EVER like

• His name is probably not cellbit and he probably did't have a name prior alcatraz because he has called "cell" because of the cellphone he used

• he was in a war/Hunter games thing with imortal grim reaper deamon badboyhalo at 15 old for some reason

• he as sent to possible life-time in prison on alcatraz witch is weird becase A. brazilian law does NOT have life-time sentences the Max you can be jailed for a Crime is 40 years (i mean people can be more time in jail then that on brazil but that inst the foucous) B. Its very clearly inspirade by the american prison BUT that dosent make sanse to be the american prison becase tazercraft boys did their crimes on brazil and ware send to alcatraz anyways witch means that there is a brazilian alcatraz in Fernando de Noronha

• he EATED pac's leg off screen (its a retcon but whatever) with only his mouth a kitchen knife and a dream and he eated the WHOLE leg

• he was 18 in the events of fuga impossível witch means that A. The age of criminal responsability in brazil in this universe is 16 not 18 B. He was in juvie and after his 18 birthday he was send to alcatraz almost instantly

• he hooked up with other men in prison (cof cor guaxi cof cof)

• he was a Cook on prison and would get mad at people for talking bad about it

• after years on prison he got to make VARIOUS comercials with THE great axé singer Ivete sangalo (a singuer that Beyoncé showed admiracion)

• with the ads being canon, the movie "internet, o filme" is also canon and a know ex-canibal was on a movie with a bunch of brazilian Internet celebrietys

• he made a tharapy so intense that he could make peace with the guy he KILLED (felps) and the guys he tormented(tazercraft)

Besides all the human world talk and differences what are some deamon world things you think the witches use that we've not seen already? We see they have phones and lockers but what else

Oh gosh oh dear okay uuuhhhh... SO WORLD BUILDING THEN? ALRIGHT. AH YES, WORLDBUILD LOGIC, MY THIRD LOVE IN STORY TELLING. OKAY.

The slight (or not so slight actually) problem with ToH is unfortunately the lack of making sense of the demon realm in favour of it just looking interesting, different and whacky. It does leave room for a lot of interpretation, but as soon as you try make sense of it, it begins to show it's holes. So I think ToH is better left untouched from SENSE.

However that never stopped me before!

I think they use fire and acids for energy. It's a natural source and it's easy for magic-using inhabitants to conjure fire. Possibly mecha that keeps fire looping in the house to funnel the light. And when the lights "pop" in the house you just gotta put fire into the machine again. Or something.

Because it looks like they have some kind of energy to light lamps and stuff, but not electricity. And by the looks of Eda's kitchen, it's still stuck in an era of using heat from fire. Stone ovens and iron, etc. I place their technology on the level of human Gregorian era?

I don't think they have internet. I think they use libraries for that. Their penstagram I think is, literally, just for distant-sharing and communication like apps. Basically photo albums/blogs you can connect with.

They use the glass orbs as TVs so they're not using penstagram as video-watching. (I think? I might misremember here). Though, King did send a live video on it once, so I guess that's possible? But live videos seem to be very widely broadcasted even on the platform. So idk how that system is set up. Maybe you pay a fee to be able to live something. Idk how the interface is like. I doubt King/Eda/Luz has a ton of followers, so there must be a way to broadcast

So I conclude it's just.... photo/blog albums. They don't use penstagrams for calling each other, text messaging sure but not calling.

Which I guess makes the bird-phone kinda redundant actually. THOUGH, I guess it would be like how the 80's 90's phone and internet worked? Kinda? You have one big chunky phone at home you call from. Or a brick you bring with you (Like Hunter did lol).

So phones I think are at the level of the 80's-human realm.

Their mode of transportation, in the show, became the palisman staffs. But not all witches have that, it actually seem to be a level of privilege to have one in the modern day demon-realm.

There was a... Bus... slug? thing? that curled people up and rolled away? I--- I mean okay. I guess that's the public transportation.

But that's a living thing. yeah? Which means there must be a stable of sort where these beasts go to rest and are cared for. So that must be a job/coven that exists. Probably a sub-section of the beast coven.

They have a lot of steampunk looking mecha, especially the abomination coven, so it is a given they must have some sort of piping system on the isles. Possibly for sewage?

Where does it go? The boiling sea, probably, or an acid pool where it all dissolves.

Possibly the butt of the Titan...? Imagine living there. o-o;;

ANYWAY, that's all for now asdfghjkl Or I will go on forever.

Hunter's place of Residence

So...Belos is defeated, now where is Hunter is going to live? What's his last name going to be? If he ever marries Willow, he'll probably just take her last name. In the meantime, he probably considers everyone to be family. His name will probably be Hunter Noceda Deamone Clawthorne (Not Wittebane). Hunter will probably have his main place of residence be Darius' place, and he visits Camilla every so often. He spends some nights at Gus' place for sleepovers, and probably wouldn't stay at Willow's place too much (At least when her Dads are around). On occasion he might choose to stay at the Owl house, get to know more about Palisman carving and theories on Wild Magic.

Still, it really wouldn't matter, because he only has two years before he can live on his own. So, in the epilogue he's probably living in his Palisman shop.

His family dynamic is probably thus: Caleb is the father he never met, Darius is his Dad, Camila is his Mom, Luz is his sister, Gus is a best friend who is like a brother, Willow is a girlfriend, Eda and Lilith are like his weird Aunts, Eberwolf is like a weird Uncle, and Dell is like a grandfather. (Belos is disowned family).

Prompt: Can I get ffxv noctis x reader where the reader asks him to look after their little cousin around the age of 7 for the day, the kid is very rambunctious and likes to blow things up for science and also to fight demons. Can I get noct’s interaction with them. Since he’s not that good with social skills and with small kids in general and has to balance that with fighting monsters?

Pairing: Noctis Lucis Caelum / Reader

Summary:

Noctis is someone who is naturally awkward around people in general, that is especially true for children.

So when you asked him to watch your cousin for the day, The prince instantly wanted to say no. However when he saw the sweet hopeful look on your face, he couldn’t say disagree.

Once the nod brought his head up and down, your arms around their way around his neck to bring him into a warm hug.

As your whispers of gratitude filled his ears, his mind and heart battled. His mind wanted to come up with a quick lie about his father needing him, or already made plans with Prompto for that day.

While his heart only heard your excited, joyous words thanking him for agreeing.

His arms made their way around your waist, pulling you closer to his cheat. A smile rested on his face at the soft contract. For a moment the prince forgot what he agreed to, until you pulled away and started speaking.

“So my cousin is about 7. They have a lot of energy so you can’t just sit around all day, and please don’t take them fishing. They’ll just get bored and scare all the fish off. Oh and they’ll be here around 11.”

Noctis watched in shock as you maneuvered around the room talking while gathering all your belongings. The words quickly falling from your lips, go in one ear and directly out the other. Before he could ask you to repeat yourself, you’re already halfway out the door wishing him a good day.

Noctis spent the next few hours pacing. For every activity he thought of a downside would cross his mind.

He thought about just staying inside and watching television all day, but they could have just done that at home. Maybe he could show them around Insomnia. Let them see places they normally would never see, but who wants to spend the day walking around.

Before the prince could think of a solid idea a knock came on his door. A timid voice called out his name, a voice he quickly recognized as your relative.

As soon as he opened the door, his mouth open along with it to ask questions. But he was stopped when a young kid was pushed passed him and he read your family members rushed words.

“Thank you for watching them on short notice. I’m running last already sorry.”

Once again Noctis stood stoned as the door slammed. He processed the encounter until an unknown voice spoke up “So, what are we doing today?” They spoke so fast Noctis had to repeat the sentence several times just to understand them.

“Uhhh. I didn’t really have anything planed. “ Noctis scratched the back of this head and glanced around the room, hoping an activity would pop into his head.

Sadly that didn’t happen. Instead the prince stood awkwardly inside his own home while a kid he’s never meet waited for Noctis to entertain them.

“What do you like to do for fun?” Noctis asked. The young kid thought for a moment before starting to spew out different things he liked to do. Most were normal thing he could do at any point. However one thing stood out to the young man.

“I like fighting monsters and deamons.” The kids response was timid but still caught Noctis’ attention. “My mom doesn’t like when I do it since it’s dangerous.”

Noctis thought for a moment before holding out his hand to summon his sword. The moment the bright blue light began to swirl around the royal’s hang, the young kid face lights up. A loud gasp filled their ears as the Engine Blade appears.

“Well, your mom isn’t here now. So you wanna go kill some?”

Your cousin couldn’t contain their excitement as they rush over to the door and swung it open. Noctis let out a deep chuckle before following after.

Once the pair made it outside the monster free confines of the city, the sun has begun to set. For a moment Noctis considered turning around and heading back towards safety. Yet as he look sideways towards kid and saw the amount of joy they had, it made him drive even faster.

“Look!” Your cousin suddenly shouted.

Noctis slammed on the brakes and looked over towards a shadowy green field with several Goblin and a few Imp messing around in the grass.

Noctis putt over to the side turned the car off. Before they could jump out, Noctis grabbed the kids out.

“I know your excited but right now it’s too dangerous. I’m going to go in and narrow them down a bit. Okay?” The young kid scoffed and began to argue, but stopped when they saw the serious look on the prince’s face.

Noctis offered a small smile before hopping out of the car.

Within a few minutes the once large group has been dwindled down to only a few weaker deamons. With a hang movement, Noctis motioned the kid to join the fight.

Your cousin ran in with a scream and started slashing the enemies. Noctis stood back and watched carefully, ready to jump in at the first sight of danger. Once all the enemies were eliminated the young one stood up straight and turned to the older man with a shy smile on his face.

“Not Bad” Noctis spoke before turning to walk back towards the car

For the next few hours the pair drove around, defeating deamons whenever they could. Slowly Noctis to see the once energetic kid slow down to the point they were falling asleep in the passenger seat.

This made Noctis himself begin to feel his own tiredness slowly take over.

Not long after Noctis placed your sleeping relative on the couch, you walked through the door.

At first sight of the sleeping child, you instantly quiet your actions. Carefully you walk back to the bedroom and change into different clothes.

“Did you have fun?” You asked once back with the sleepy pair.

Noctis glanced down at the child sleeping on the couch before looking back up at you, and when a soft smile on his face, nodded.

“Yeah I did. I’m glad you asked me to do this.”
