Re-reading Act Omega gives me a deeper understanding of how Gamzee views Lord English and himself and all of reality and he's kind of just... Really sad 😟

He's summed up all of his existence as an actor on a stage and he's been waiting, pushing around props and pulling ropes and dancing around in the background to ensure his master is pleased with his buffoonery and disruption 🎭 He's been doing this in hopes that when the curtains close, he'll go on vacation, get his own show to watch, his own script to write, his carnival 🎪

When he learns that that's not going to happen he fucking looses it and abandons ship 🔥🚢🔥 Gamzee decides that if his destiny, his grand part in his Lord's play is to be used as a distraction; a flickering spot light that will be discarded, he won't have any part in it ❌ The Rage player is enraged by the shitty plot contrivance in the script 😡

It really show that his revelation of being a descendant of the grand Subjugglators, his initial glee in meeting his literal soul mate and Lord of his existence, it's all gone now (and also probably an alternate timeline idk its never really made clear)😞 All the torture he's endured all the friends he's killed and betrayed, all of which he had decided he would not need to regret due to the grand prize🏆 of eternity he would be granted, something he was taught since birth 😧 It's all just a joke 🙃

He's so much more angry and almost nihilistic😶He's not happy to do the things he does he does it because he believes it to be true and so much more honest- He believes that he's following his part just as everyone else has and will 📜It really shows why Damara and the Handmaiden and all of LE's servant's are so empty and pissed off all the time😠This is what they were raised in, born into and know they will collapse into and they will happily choose it over their other fates to have which, in their minds, is to lay down and let the nothingness consume you💀

It's so bleak and stagnant and just sad 😢I feel bad for all these kids and Gamzee who was originally just supposed to rot in a corpse filled refrigerator for eternity until he falls into the service of his abusive God😣

He's not innocent but how innocent could he have been? 🤔

Everything about all of him and his friends were doomed 💥 It's not like he could've just seen his soul within the eyes👀 of the vessel of his God and decided to ignore the sound of his Lord whispering in his ear from the distant rays of THE GREEN SUN, It's not like realizing that his life his a game to an undefeatable being could be brushed off, like the doctrine and scripture that followed him his whole life could be forgotten.😒

Idk just seems like a loose-loose for the poor kid.

yes that is exactly my classpect for asriel!!

( just as a sidenote, I find it very fun that, given my track record of assigning UTDR characters classpects, when a character is a Prince, they are also literally a prince in canon, like Ralsei, and now Asriel).

Asriel Dreemurr // Prince of Doom

You (very correctly!) stated Princes ghost their opposite aspect, and they do that since it's only prudent for a destruction class to destroy their aspect through leaning into the opposite one, too. The fact Princes destroy their aspect or destroy with their aspect supports this even more. They're destructive inwards and towards their environment, zeroing in on things having to do with their aspect and, depending on their mental state, destroying the enemies of its well-being or (usually, really) making it wither.

The ways Asriel supports Doom as an aspect are so numerous that it isn't even funny, so I'm just gonna list some things from my aspect notes and provide brief explanations:

affinity for unfortunate events, either in being the victim or invoking them (the incident he and Chara had with buttercups instead of cups of butter, Chara's death and subsequently Asriel's death during the scheme they both agreed on, creating entire timelines where he concocts his own genoroutes)

natural magnet for the worse parts of the narrative (being fated to live as a soulless being by pure chance, since his ashes were on the flowers purely by coincidence)

great supply of empathy and/or wisdom (the former is true for Asriel, who has a soul; the latter for Flowey, who is soulless and tested how things work many times - he even gives you a mock tutorial)

sufferers and martyrs (Asriel sacrificed himself to not kill anyone, even when attacked)

affinity for attunement with some kind of... otherness, alongside Life (like the exiles or horrorterrors in HS, or what I interpret as game mechanics in UT, and kinda just us - Flowey addresses Frisk, Chara and the player all at separate occasions)

Doom's symbolism of skulls, fire, explosions and bombs (he literally uses all these in his various attacks, most in the Omega Flowey form, that one with the added caveat of vaguely destroying Doom by using plants, Life's domain, too; but the skull appears in his Hyperdeath form attack)

literal meanings of death, sacrifice, entropy, acceptance (the first two are already plenty clear, entropy is just what Flowey was doing before we got here again and again, and what he attempts to do as Omega Flowey; and acceptance is what he finally exhibits at the end of True Pacifist)

abstract meanings of deterioration, nihilism, stagnation, static state of affairs, pessimism and limitations (most are already clear - the static nature of Flowey is him resetting again and again, to the point where Sans, along with whoever he was conducting research with, noticed the time anomalies and literally had depression induced because of the fact time is just Standing Still in a loop and nothing seems to matter anyhow so why bother trying <- destroying with Doom at its finest example; but also, the loop could be seen as something exactly opposite, since Flowey always tests something different).

Additionally, as the Extended Zodiac tells us - even though I try to not rely on it too much - the best a Doom hero can be is wise, kind and non-judgmental, while the worst they can be is being filled with bitterness, resentment and fatalism. The difference is between if they cling to the past or if they learn from it.

so, yeah. to sum up, my track record already shows i need very little to get me going about this so i'm very sorry ☝️however, counterpoint: it's really fun to do this hahah

If I recall I predicted a while back that a best case scenario for the next upd8 was to focus on characters like the Omega kids in candy, and James did do just that, good job keeping the plot James!

But I am concerned at how short the page length of the update was. 20 pages in a month? I think even HS2 was pumping out 30-40 pages each update before the recast to Beyond Canon.

I get that monthly updates are the norm and Hussie’s update schedule was inhumanely fast, but Homestuck 1 was a comic that took a lot of pages to complete.

HS: BC is 530 pages long, just 100 short of the length act5 act 1 took. Imagine if Hivebent came out in monthly updates. One day you meet Karkat and Gamzee talking, wait one month, meet Gamzee and Terezi, wait one month, meet Sollux… and it would mostly be internet conversations.

At least Act 5 Act 1 had a setup with an overarching goal for all 12 trolls, HS:BC still is waddling slowly towards something happening.

It makes me wonder if that update we got was something that was planned for release and only holding out to do things like small edits in writing, fixups, etc. Or are they going it by real-time like just after that update, they are already working on it, which makes me doubt they had planned ahead by the time they had actually announced Homestuck Beyond Canon.

On purpose

For those who tasted death (as in a near-death experience), either by involuntary means (near-fatal accident), or par volonté (such as in deep and transcendental meditation, etc.); such individuals know well that reality more to what the eyes can see, as can be perceived in higher degrees by the virtually limitless neural pathways and their combinations which generates different levels consciousness. For the hidden conceals of unseen forces, archetypes and realms, in combinations of vibrations, energies and frequencies, to say the least.

Yet, for those who ventured even further, know too well that beyond the unseen autonomous, sentient, sapient, and immaterial beings/entities (i.e., djinns, DMT elves, etc.), there is a space of pure existence where all forms annihilate almost in a vaporizing fashion. A holy of holies beyond space and time where all the ones granted mercy, as mysterious as it is, are granted an ephemeral, yet everlasting moment to witness this Majesty. Nevertheless, Pure Unfathomable Force exists, which in relation to the mortal consciousness that experiences it, for longer than a microsecond or such, one would no longer be on the thread between life and death, but would have rather traveled permanently to the other side, the hereafter.

As in previous posts, it's been well established with connection to scriptural verses that this Ultimate Reality, Perfectly Unfathomable Force of Oneness, and the Precedeer of all contigents; is perfectly described in the Book of the Quran. Unsurprisingly, not only does this book state the realities of the beyond as they are, as signs for the inquirers and the truth seekers; it is also the go-to scripture for those who innately pursue a path of loving oneness, one of pure-monotheism, the continuation of the way of Abraham. It is the magnet for those who acknowledge the divinity of such Perfection and Hs inherent supremacy over creation, which we may refer to as Allah (God in Arabic/Aramaic).

The blessed ones who ventured that far into the Pure Happening, cannot help but appreciate Perfection of Beauty, the Origin of all contingents. It is simply human nature to love and devout oneself to something greater than ourselves, which is no different than us being programmed as social creatures, among other predefined elements in our programming. Hence for the monotheist, to devoute oneself to the One, Allah, is as natural as drinking water.

The Blessed Book of the pure monotheists reaffirms this, by stating the purpose of humankind and the unseen entities, the djinn, is to worship Allah (51:56).

But what does it truly mean to worship?

In many standardized dictionaries the following definitions are provided:

A combination of reverence, admiration, honoring, taking part of an event; to worship is an action of many forms.

One does not simply worship by devoting himself to a place of prayer, but adding to that, one admires the Object of such reverence throughout all its creation; in mountains, in cypress fields, in the good of women and men, in life wherever it breathes, and in death wherever it rests.

Adding to that, one also worships by increasing their cognitive capabilities of grasping, comprehending, and absorbing the sight of hidden treasures. For gratitude is a continuous effort, and its sincerity consolidates with more ability to perceive. This can be done mainly by achieving higher consciousness of reality. To do so, one has to treat the entrusted gift, that is their mind, and body, with good care. To eat well, to exercise well, to meditate well, to see better the beauty in more gratitude are all acts of worship.

And let us not forget the act of creating. As humans, we love to build, and to create. For if we were truly made in the image of God, my humble understanding would be that we were made in similarity to his Perfect Attributes. For Allah is Lord Creator of all creation, the Alpha and the Omega. For a mortal human to create, is to enact God’s will further. Not only we find purpose in building homes, bridges, and tools, but till this age, we have built systems in virtual realities, we have created art forms for the love of the Ultimate Artist, whether consciously or not. We procreate life, by the will of the one Above, and seek creation wherever it may. Blessed are those who create, mindfully, consciously in dedication of the First and Ultimate creator. What a fulfilling act of worship this is.

But creation and building isn’t just on the outside, it goes deeper within as well. There are those who worship even further by embodying the higher values in alignment with divine will, and reaffirmed in His Book (for the lack of a more accurate pronoun of Divine Perfection). Values such as standing with truth and justice against all odds, even against oneself; values such as dealing the best cards, playing the higher grounds in arising conflicts, that is to be kind and compassionate even in a position of strength, to be he who knows how to dance the sword yet to keep it sheathed, to be the protector and preserver of peace and justice. To give everyone their right, and to be generous on top of it. To be a source of abundance, as limited as one is, yet inspired by the infinite fountain of Abundance. To embody the higher ideal, and refuse the worldly ways of the vicious pragmatism. To live and die happily, fearlessly for the eternity, to not fear martyrdom in the eyes of arrogant materialists; to not let superficial mundanity blind you with false delusions and empty promises, and to remember the eternity of Pure serenity. To become the ideal man, the leader of his environment, in a mindful way for the love of the one above, is truly an act of ecstatic worship.

Whatever Alright so, I really don’t care enough to try and remind myself of what was going on during the last update so I’m just gonna get started on this one and hope for the best.

Alright so I kinda remember. Aranea just explained a ton of stuffs.

And Vriska isn’t pleased by it.

VRISKA: W8. VRISKA: So... what are you saying exactly? ARANEA: I thought I was fairly clear, 8ut I understand if this inform8tion is too jarring for you to a8sor8. ARANEA: It means that if nothing is done, everything that we know will cease to 8e. VRISKA: ... Everything. Really. ARANEA: Yes, Vriska. Everything. Every ghost. Every horrorterror. Every dream 8u88le, session, and universe. ARANEA: It will all eventually fall into The Pocket and 8e lost. ARANEA: Of course, this ensures that there is no point in time or space to which Lord English can escape. ARANEA: 8ut then again, the same goes for us.

All universe die, and from the moment of the Vast Croak, they contain every instance of that universe and all of their histories at once. The residents of any given iter8tion have no real way of perceiving anything that occurs in this 8roader scope. They are free to live their mortal lives as they would have otherwise. ARANEA: As they say, ignorance is 8liss--a 8lessing that those of us among the dead cannot afford. 8ut the consequences of what we manage to accomplish will reach 8eyond such individual concerns and matter a gr8 deal to the masses yet to even 8e 8orn.

How do you even stop a black hole though? I mean, there’s like real world theories and shit but fuck real world. I already have sort of a theory. If they use The Tumor. Or, a tumor. I forget if that was a beta kids exclusive though, so really who knows if that’s even possible. But supposedly, the tumor has the capability to destroy the sun, so maybe if they could get some other tumor it could destroy the hole.

Why is everybody bein so J U Dgy. Fuck, just LOOK at Kankri back there. So hateful.

ARANEA: I did everything I could to prevent The Pocket from forming. ARANEA: In fact, I spent considera8le time and effort seeking out the Lost Cheru8 for myself. I planned to attempt reasoning with her, to convince her there must 8e some other way. 8ut she was far too elusive, and no doubt too dedic8ed to her cause to have listened if I HAD found her. ARANEA: So in the end, I failed, just as you did. I’m not too proud to admit that.

Well yeah, there was nothing you could ever do to prevent the worst thing possible from happening, that’s sort of a running theme in homestuck. You just kinda gotta. Find a loophole around the consequences.

Oh boy. Well this should be interesting. I don’t exactly know how that’s gonna stop the pocket but hey we’ll see.

MEENAH: uh... MEENAH: youre losin me serks ARANEA: THINK, Meenah. The story isn’t over yet! ARANEA: The Lost Cheru8 has done her part. We have done ours in activ8ing the weapon. ARANEA: 8ut what of the warriors? The challengers Lord English trapped inside his juju? Where do they come in? MEENAH: uh?? ARANEA: They are through that door! Them and the higher plane they have 8een trapped within for eons! ARANEA: The warriors could 8e w8ing for us to find and free them so they might do their work in repairing the damage the Lost Cheru8 has done. ARANEA: After residing in what could well 8e a macrocosm of infin8 power, surely they have the means to accomplish anything! ARANEA: What could WE accomplish 8y going there ourselves? MEENAH: uhh??? ARANEA: If nothing else, the juju is the only way we can escape the destruction of reality itself! ARANEA: It is the only path to take that leads somewhere ELSE! MEENAH: arane--

So what’s the game plan? How do they plan on getting through there with Lord English goin all fuckin berzerk on this poor house.

To be fair, she’s always acting weird. I think the most worrying part about her behavior is how excited she is to pull this plan off. I don’t really think she’s gonna try to pull off another suicide plan. Worst case scenario, she tries to steal the glory from Vriska.
