I like talking simple. Doing so allows for ppl who don't understand big words to understand what I say. And ppl who understand complex words still get what I'm saying. Now there are times amongst certain audiences where you have to determine what words to use in your speech, but I keep it relatively consistent for myself.

I'll use big words eloquently while also sounding like a country boy, and I'll use common tLk but speak properly (no "ain't" "imma" or "gonna" ect).

Also I just don't like talking like I'm above ppl. So I make sure I keep my country talk present most of the time. Because you can look down on me for whatever reason, but that only matters if I care. If I don't care (which I don't) then you aren't above me at all. Now for ppl who look up to me? I just try to build them up so they can become whatever they believe I am to them. Because usually, what ppl think you are when they hold you in high regard, that isn't fully you.

Simply put; ignore the arrogant & raise up the humble. An arrogant person can speak dimple or complex. A humble person can speak simple or complex.

christ sometimes I just wanna. steal a time machine & go back & sit down next to my 9-year-old self and just like. let them pull out their pokemon card binder & gush about their holographic gyarados or whatever. I'd just smile & ask questions about motherfukcing bulbasaur & tell my kid self that I thought they were a neat person, & someday they'd find other people who thought so too.
