At the last minute of life, with salty brine filling his mouth and nostrils, the poor turtle cried, “Why did you do such a thing? You have killed us both.” The scorpion replied simply — “Because it is my nature.”

I spend a lot of time thinking about that fact that any sitcom could be in the same universe as any modern horror setting without contradicting the canon of either franchise.
Friends is actually set in the World Of Darkness. Modern Family is actually set in Call Of Cthulhu. Bob’s Burgers is actually set in Kult. Prove me wrong, fuckers. Prove me wrong.

Superheros are often mistaken to be humans with enhanced abilities, or at least to be humanoid in form. The truth is, they're a type of cloth demon, closely related to the scarecrow demons. Their entire bodies are made up of the colorful cloth often assumed to be a costume, with pure void energy, wire and stuffing making up their insides. Occasionally bits of humanoid flesh can be seen poking out of their suits, but this is actually just flesh ripped off of people they fight, that they use for insulation.
Like all demons, they feed on sin, but they've evolved to use a unique catch and release strategy. They'll stop people who are actively committing sins, attack them and feed off of their sin, but let them live so that they don't remove anyone from the net population of sinners. Many countries law enforcements utilize this by arresting people who have just been attacked.
Superheros may hurt wrongdoers, but they have no sense of justice themselves. They couldn't care less about the mortally of their actions. Most of them want to eat. While they are intelligent, almost none of them have humanoid moral compasses.
