Oh God, you who teach people the Truth! You were with those who passed through the desert of doubt. It cleanses you from the fire of pain. You have cast out the demons of opinion from the human heart. Your soul is so beautiful that no false thought can ever hide there. God, you would teach the people of Love. You have passed the place of despair. You were and are with those who cried through the dark night of sadness. Now you are freed from the sadness and care of your human heart, bad looks, hatred and incessant stress on your gentleness and mercy. God, you who would teach people peace. Hey lovely souls ^^

I'm not really a fan of Christmas (especially considering what is happening in the world at the moment). I wasn't raised with the spirit. My mom hated it because of childhood stuff, so we spent most of our Christmases traveling (which was very cool ^^). Also, I am not Christian, so it doesn't hold any religious significance for me.

Sure, I enjoy the beautiful decorations in the streets and the act of bringing joy by giving presents to people we love. I feel closer to the pagan origin of that holiday in that regard.

But I also understand that for many people around me (and in the world), Christmas is very important because it brings a glimmer of joy and love into their otherwise mundane days. Without it, they would be at their lowest. So, in my opinion, it is important (almost a duty, if you think about it) for the people I love to share the Christmas spirit with them, to show them how much I appreciate them being well, being alive, just being.

So when my sister @valkblue tagged me in this, it took me a moment to consider it, but in the end, I chose to do it to show her my love and for all the people who need it.
