— Thank you so much for supporting this blog for 1 year! Although I haven’t been posting that often, I assure you that I do have some work in progress! This is just an event to commemorate 1 year of being a writer on tumblr. This will probably be the most content I will deliver in a while. But then again, thank you so much! I hope you enjoy this rerun of character!reader x character. I also think this has been one of my most creative ideas yet, and I initially thought of having a greek God/Goddess-themed event, but I actually don’t know how to execute it.

for this event, you can request a character from any media (anime or genshin character) available below, and I will base the reader on that chosen character.

following that, you will also have to give me a character from the media below.

Follow blog rules as well, and see characters that I write for below.

next, I will write about your dynamic with said Anime/Genshin character. the outcome will most likely be a drabble.

example: jolyne!reader x childe, or rengoku!reader x dazai

The start of this event is on 5/21/2022, and ends on 6/20/2022.

Max characters are one (1). Max requests are also one (1).

Obviously, if the character you chose and the character you planned to be paired with are taken, I will answer your request with the link! (ex. Daki!reader x choso, is taken)

However, if it’s another anime character, then I don’t mind! (ex. Daki!reader x gojo, not taken)

There will be a limited number of requests I will be taking per day. However, it does not mean I will stop posting requests after the event.

Please do not rush me! There will also be no NSFW included in this event, please refrain from requesting such.

He laughs. "Who the heck did you get as taste-testers, some of the General Studies students? Well, unless you asked Kendo, Jiro, and Kinoko to. Those three don't have as big of appetites as you and Himi." Jai rubs Mei's sides, smiling. Those definitely would come in handy for him, his quirk burned calories like it was nothing. "Maybe next time, have Yaomomo, Himi, and Uraraka help test those. We both know Himi won't care about getting stuffed by it, in fact she loves it when it's you, me, or Reiko doing it. Momo's quirk would benefit from this regardless if the portion size is 'normal' or not. And Uraraka... weight training. Her and Deku might enjoy that." The dragon smirks.

"Been working on anything for us? It'd be a surprise if you didn't start on gear for Himiko, Reiko, or me. Not that I wouldn't believe it, you can get super busy and not always have time to start on new ideas." He reaches up and plays with some of her hair. Much as he did mean it about her taking a shower, he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the smell of oil and metal on her. It was her scent, just like the smell of blood being Himiko's and the smell of a foggy lake being Reiko's. He leans down and kisses her cheek. "Love you, Mei-bear~"

"Love you too Jai..." Mei blushed amd leaned into his touch, moments like these were one of the few things that could distract her from working besides food. It was nice even she had to admit that, despite her workaholic tendencies she enjoyed so closeness every now and then. "I posted an ad in the school paper and got some of the general studies students sign up. Momo's actually on the list of pre-orders when I work out all the bugs. I'll probably send her a box early just for some last minute testing, this latest batch works alot better than the prototype. I had Pony and Tsuyu help me with those and well.... let just say there was a problem with the bonding agent so when the pill got to the last part of the meal it caused a bit of a problem. It didn't break down properly and they ended up getting over double the amount of calories they should have received."

"I've honestly been busy with all my projects haven't had too much time for personal inventions. At first it was fine but I think I may have bit off more than I could chew. I did upgrade Himeno's mask though! It wasn't fitting right so I made some size adjustments and redid the tubing. Should work alot better for her now." Mei sighed as she sat down in her swivel chair taking a load off for a moment. She had been working a long time and even she was starting to feel the fatigued.

The Red Queen’s Garden

The first noticeable thing was the fragrance of flowers—overwhelmingly thick and cloying. There were sounds too, but they were a distant reality, warped and submerged underwater. Everything felt muddled, grey crawling at the edges with pinpricks of color spinning in and out of focus. There was something bittersweet at the tip of the tongue, gritty yet cottonlike.

Clarity returned in slow spurts, the blur slowly melting away—shapes regaining definition and a pained voice (voices?) fading into something familiar. The world was a tiny garden that barely fit five people together, a multitude of flowers with clashing colors and scents. Rust ate away everything: the round glass table at the center was on the brink of collapse, and the empty wiry chair at the “head” looked like it would fall apart any moment.

A few feet away, Toga Himiko hummed, dirt streaked from her hands to her arms. The sharp snip of the scissors she held echoed in the tiny garden, her eyes trained on a sunflower as she cut the imperfections away. There was a cluster of violets tucked behind her ear and a crown of gillyflowers, zinnias, and even more sunflowers atop her head. She looked peaceful—almost angelic—if not for the splatters of blood on her beige cardigan.

She took a deep breath and spun on her heel with a girlish giggle. “Oh! It looks like everyone’s waking up! I’m so glad all of you could see how pretty my garden is!”

It was, if not for the withered heart in front, half-buried with a sapling peeking out from a ventricle.

Words were impossible now, tongue heavy and throat feeling like sandpaper. Focusing was impossible, concentrating on a single thing was a monumental task. Pain lanced with every rhythmic pounding behind half-lidded eyes. The headache turned into a dull ache, but looking at bright lights turned it into something sharp.

Toga cannot be ignored, it would be suicide. She knew this.

“I have the best violets in the world, see?” She plucked the flower from behind her ear and presented it close. The fragrance was heavy and thick. It smelled too sweet. The overwhelming joy in her eyes turned into something softer. “He didn’t have a name, but I loved him all the same. He was a very good boy.”

“See ya Mom!” Himiko shouted at Toga Himeno as she pulled the door to their house closed. Her backpack was heavier than the usual, but she didn’t mind. For her friend, she could carry any weight.

The four-year old stepped over the uneven patch of road past the front gate. Himiko ducked under a pole snapped in half, its top caught against a wall. She nearly stepped in a puddle, wondering when the roads would dry up.

Himiko’s day brightened as she rounded down the corner.

She shifted her backpack and opened it, grabbing a plastic container with last night’s leftovers. A cheery bark greeted Himiko, and she knelt down and placed it open the ground. Under a pile of displaced pavement and roadblocks was a yappy puppy. Himiko didn’t know what to call it, but it was hers.

It was a mangy thing—brown, about as tall as Himiko, with matted fur, bald patches, scars, and fleas—yet Himiko loved him.

“Here you go,” Himiko giggled as the puppy stuffed his snout into the container. It ate as fast as it could and made a mess as it got food all over Himiko’s clothes. It’s alright, though. Even if the puppy acted like a pig, it was a very good boy. Then, Himiko grabbed a bottle of water from her bag and poured its contents on the plastic.

“I’m going to school now, see ya!” Himiko hummed, straightened her skirt, and left.

“Heroes had always been ruining stuff for me, you know.” Toga pouted as she adjusted the crown in her hair. “They don’t care, and they always look down on everybody—and that’s why Stain is soooo amazing! He’s doing stuff to make things better and I’m just sad that he’s in prison now. Maybe we could get him out?”

She tapped her chin in thought, the dirt contrasted with her pale (almost translucent) skin. The longer she didn’t talk, the sooner she’d stab people—so the best way to deal with Toga was to have her yap away.

“What happened, then?”

Toga’s eyes focused to the left and her lips stretched to expose all her teeth.

“See, our neighbourhood’s like this weird villain hotspot, so there were like encounters every week. Some big, some small—but there was this big one and well …” Her brows furrowed together. Toga frowned. “Well, it started acting weird.”

“We have Tako and Jubi—they’re very good boys, aren’t they?” Himiko scowled at her mom. Himeno gestured at the shiba and akita inu dogs lying on top of each other in the living room. They were clean, free of fleas, and smelled like shampoo—which was boring because that meant they didn’t need as much extra love and care like the puppy under the rubble did.

“But I want him!” Himiko crossed her arms. “He’s hurt! And we can help him!”

“Himiko, sweetie.” Her mom knelt down and put a hand on her shoulder. “There’s been an incident in that area and no one’s cleared it up for the last two weeks; I don’t think your friend would still be there.”

“Nu-uh!” Himiko stomped off. “I just gave him some water! He won’t drink it cuz he’s hurt and keeps throwing up! I’m bringing him here and then we’ll help him!”

“Himiko!” She didn’t want to hear any more of this. She left. She didn’t check to see if Himeno followed. Himiko’s thoughts focused only on her puppy and his safety. She slammed the door as she ran.

Street lights flickered overhead, the whole street cloaked in silence and Himiko’s ragged breathing. Ducking under the pole hurt, and Himiko was wiping away tears when she reached the other side. The dog was on the ground, eyes unfocused and tongue lolled out its open mouth, foam dripped and pooled around its head. It didn’t notice Himiko arrived, and the container of food next to it remained untouched.

“Mama said that we can’t keep you.” Himiko crouched down and crawled close. “But mama can’t see you just need some love and care, so I’m gonna take care of you, okay?”

The puppy let out a low whine and raised its head. Its eyes were dark and its gaze went past Himiko. It was thinner and had more scratches gouging its skin.

“Do you want some water?” Himiko didn’t bring anything, but if she bought it home though … “Come on.”

She reached out, flinching when he growled, but Himiko continued. She jumped when the dog barked harshly when she petted him.

“See? You’re a good boy.” Himiko’s heart beat loudly in her chest as the puppy snarled at her.

One moment, Himiko was petting the dog, and the next—

i just played the NDRV3 demo again (didn’t remember you can get a bonus from playing it...that is, playing it on the same system you’re getting the full game for) and i want to post my impressions of and predictions for the setting and characters and so on. it will both help satisfy my hype and distract me from this horrible cold i have. there’ll be a couple spoilers here from the previous games/anime, but the info about NDRV3 is all from the demo and official website.

the school, if you can call it that: okay, i’ve seen it called a prison and i’ve seen it called a school. fact is, it’s a ruin. the overgrown foliage gets me right in the aesthetic, damn. an aboveground ruin doesn’t seem like a great place to imprison anyone, though--you’d think it’s not that structurally sound. (opportunity for an unexpected death, maybe?) could it have been reinforced from the outside? i’m sure monokuma wouldn’t let all this take place somewhere the walls could be easily shattered by a few carefully aimed steel tennis balls from ryoma.

...oh my god. ryoma’s got balls of steel. i just realized that now.

the goddamn intro video: okay...so in the intro everyone has the same eerie fuchsia eyes as class 77-B in the OP for the later episodes of DR3 despair arc. on one hand, this series is too smart to do something like that coincidentally. on the other, this series is also too smart to recycle the same twist. it has to mean something, right? at this point the best i can say is “well, that’s probably gonna turn out to mean something” and move on.

kaede akamatsu: very cute. i like her musical hair clips. apparently she was made fun of for playing the piano from a young age, but why? it’s the most normal hobby ever. pretty cool if you’re good at it, too. (i...sadly...was not.) poor kaede just wants a peaceful and happy high school life with her friends, but i’ve played enough dongobongo to know that’s not where this is going.

K1-B0: excellent pun name which i really hope gets explained in the english version. my adorably awkward robot son. when i saw the first few character designs i thought he’d be the protagonist because, you know, the hair. i don’t want K1-B0 to die, though if he does, i’d prefer an execution over a murder just because i’d love to see the “robotic cinnamon roll” cliche averted more often. buuuuuut until proven otherwise, he probably is a cinnamon roll. his recording ability should come in very, very handy for providing evidence!

supreme dictator kokichi “i’m brother, LOL” oma: reminds me of todomatsu, because he manages to be both undeniably cute on the outside and utterly rotten on the inside. lay off my robot son, you little creep! in japanese he refers to kaede as “akamatsu-chan”; not sure if he’s acting cutesy or being inappropriately familiar. he’s a guaranteed red herring for as long as he’s still alive. i think he’s gonna get murdered. i’m going to enjoy this character despite him being a piece of shit. possibly homosexual; must remember to investigate further.

detective...wait...saihara? yeah, saihara: i want him to take his hat off already so we can see what his hair is like. what if *gasp* he has an ahoge, and it turns out he was the shadow protagonist all along??? anyway...his aptitude should be a big help in trials, and he’ll probably survive...for most of the game. i hope we don’t have to hear about his inferiority complex too often.

gonta “everybody’s bug encyclopedia” gokuhara: my other new son! he aspires to be a true gentleman, but he never wears any shoes! he’s the big strong one in this game’s cast, so odds are against him surviving chapter 4...they're not going to have a third character in this role die a heroic death, are they? i want to hear him talk excitedly about bugs, and i want to learn more about his wolf family too. love my boy gonta.

ryoma “i’ve got balls of steel” hoshi: okay, so...he was on death row...but then he was sent to this school instead? what? how does that happen?? he seems interesting! it’ll be hard to take him seriously when he’s got the same voice as gundam, though. i wonder if the fact that he’s killed before will ever make him a red herring, though there’s already three more likely red herrings from what i’ve seen.

??? rantaro amami: this guy’s capacity to stay cool under pressure and negotiate have got to be related to his SHSL talent. diplomat? politician? lawyer? hostage negotiator? he’s kinda cute...i have no idea what’s gonna happen with him. a murderer, perhaps?

gimp boy: *tabs back to official site* korekiyo shinguji. okay. that unfortunate mask is the first thing we all noticed about him and most likely the memento we’ll keep long after he’s dead. his questionable sense of morality makes him an obvious red herring, but it also gives me the sense he’s no murderer--i think he’d prefer to hang back and observe the chaos rather than actually kill someone himself, unless of course he has a burning desire to observe the beauty of a struggling, dying murder victim firsthand. very, very interesting guy. as morally ambiguous as komaeda, but sadly, not as good looking. probably gonna get murdered himself, and will find the experience ultimately beautiful. alternately, the most likely student to use the “feel free to eat anything you like” rule as an excuse to experiment with cannibalism.

himeno...himiko yumeno: *yawns* kinda gimmicky. i think her magic is in fact real, which would make it way funnier that she can only do magic tricks. probably gonna murder someone, because wouldn’t a magic show-themed execution be the best? perhaps she’d be able to pull out some genuine magic on the verge of death...only to get killed anyway.

tenko chisomething: damn i really thought she was gonna be cute up until she started being a dick to naegi in the demo. she surely has her reasons for being a sexist twat (to be revealed in free time #5) buuuuut i don’t think anything can make me like her. a possible red herring if a male student is murdered. will probably get murdered herself. i dare you, game: make me like her.

tsumugi: oh my gosh, she is cute. how i’d love to wear one of her creations! i love how kaede gets all bubbly over her. i’m expecting her to deliver on those promised anime/manga/video game references! no predictions yet for her...

tojo the ultimate maid-san: way too freaking cool. she got offered a job to take down a country? why couldn’t there be a maid this cool in fire emblem fates?? she’s so composed all the time, so i’d love to see what can genuinely ruffle her feathers. i’m guessing she’s a murderer. she probably has a katana concealed inside a broom like plum kitaki.

aja...augie...angie yonaga: clearly not the ultimate phlebotomist for a reason. just how much blood does she sacrifice on a regular basis? just where does it all go? okay, she’s gimmicky but cute. will probably live long enough to get on my nerves, but in the meantime, it’ll be fun hearing atua weigh in on things.

kaito: comes off as really smart in a really dumb way. i don’t know why he had to pass the astronaut exam before graduating high school so badly, but you gotta give him credit for succeeding. my instincts tell me he’s either a survivor or a murderer...but then, he probably wouldn’t be a murderer seeing as we’ve already had two executions involving rockets.

mako...maki: very, very cute. the first detailed character design we saw. up until meeting her in the demo, i was certain her talent would be something more action hero-y than child care. well, we know the core of her tragic backstory already. i hope she survives.

miu iruma: okay, she’s lewd. i can appreciate wanting to increase productivity when you’re sleeping. frankly, i’d love an invention that helps you breathe while asleep...though, actually, those already exist. maybe i’d go for the reading invention, then! i’d love to see her talent potentially come in handy. unfortunately i fear her dirty comments are going to achieve fukawa levels of annoyingness by the time she dies.

monokubs: oh look, merchandise opportunity! all they need is a purple one. i can get behind monokid’s fondness for going “hell yeah!” the demo lead me to believe monodam never talks, but he does in one of the trailers. so...who the hell built these things? not that i was all that satisfied by monokuma’s origins (aside from the fact that he is, in fact, made out of palm trees). i don’t think i’m ever going to give a crap about the monokubs...

i’d love to see if anyone else is making a post like this with their thoughts about NDRV3′s setting and characters! anyone who knows the story already, i hope you had a good laugh at how wrong i am.
