It’s actually insane living in a society where the only “accepted” relationship is a romantic monogamous one that should last a life time (ideally you should both be cis and straight too). I have felt so bad for so long for being an outsider as someone on the ace spectrum. There’s billions of us on this planet how can we all be “built” for that specific type of relationship??? It makes me so happy seeing different types of relationships. Not only just queer people in those monogamous relationships, but we also need to celebrate more variety of relationships! People with multiple partners, queer platonic relationships, romantic partners with no sexual attraction, friendships that are romantic and prioritized, partnerships where you continue to experiment with sexuality and gender within a relationship because fuck labels and you both love and care for each other etc. I saw a tiktok of a man who identifies as gay who’s married to a woman. Good for them! It’s all queer! Do what you want and define it however you want to!

Especially as someone who’s ace, I want to see more non conventional relationships and feel validated for being happy with whatever way I want to define love and relationships in my life.
