Mingyu could still remember the day he met you. Well, maybe not met, but it was the first time he ever saw you face to face. It was at some awards show back in 2017. MAMA, was it? Or maybe the MMAs? Well, that didn't matter much. All he knew is that on stage, you had caught his eye.

It was only about a year into his debut, so he still wasn't too used to this scene. He simply sat back and enjoyed the pretty sight in front of him, knowing your group (and you) by name, but not having had the pleasure of meeting you personally by then. He hadn't met many people thus far, actually. At the time, most of his friends in the industry consisted of the twelve other members of his group. Coming from a small company, it had been hard for any of the members to begin to disperse and befriend their peers in the industry. Sure, they all had friendly acquaintances with other idols, but nothing could really compare to what they had with one another.

It wasn't until somewhere around 2017 that Mingyu had finally found a group of friends outside of his twelve members that he could trust. He had always been an outgoing guy, befriending anyone who'd look his way. He reasoned that someone had to be the icebreaker in every social situation, and he had given himself that job. Despite being a charismatic extrovert, however, most of these friendships did not stick. He developed many acquaintances, and maybe even situational friendships, but he had not really considered anyone a friend until meeting one Jeon Jungkook.

Jeon Jungkook was simply the tip of the iceberg. Some believed Mingyu had taken the man under his wing, while others believed the opposite, but it had in fact been a mutual aid. They had both felt a bit lost at the time they met, bonding over the many things their lives had in common. Their age being one of them. At first it was thrown around as a joke, the idea of forming a little group with the many other 97-liners within their industry. But that joke became reality soon after when Mingyu had met Yugyeom backstage during his group's most recent comeback at the time. The three soon became four, taking in a Cha Eunwoo, and then a Jaehyun from NCT. Even some of Mingyu's own members joining, having the privilege of being born on the great year of 1997. This was how you eventually entered the picture.

Mingyu had already known you, well, more so known about you. Despite being the same age, you had debuted a couple of years before Seventeen, which gave him the opportunity to get to know you as an idol before he did personally. He still remembered the days in the green basement, watching comeback shows with the members as they prepared for their own debut. There had been a specific day when your group had been presenting their newest comeback, which was also the day Mingyu first caught sight of you. You had caught his eye immediately. There was just something about you. He might've developed a slight interest in you from that moment on, hoping for the day in which he would become one of your peers.

Upon debuting, Mingyu had only seen you in passing for the first few years, the closest contact being a quick and informal introduction between your groups as you cruised through the backstage hallways of MNET. You looked even better in real life, he had to admit. But sadly, there was no one-on-one interaction between you that day. Nor was there during any of the following encounters throughout the next few years. It wasn't until a few years into the creation of the 97 squad that Mingyu had the pleasure of meeting you personally.

It was sometimes Jungkook who brought in new members to the friend group, but it was mostly Mingyu who would take the liberty of befriending the aforementioned members in order to introduce them into the group. It was mostly due to Mingyu's extroverted personality, which allowed him to strike up conversation with anyone at any time, unlike Jungkook who was a bit shier in that aspect. It had been Jungkook, however, who had first introduced the two of you. It had been backstage of MAMA or MMA, he wasn't completely sure. Mingyu also wasn't sure how you and Jungkook had met; he'd never bothered to ask, but upon your first meeting it had seemed like the two of you were close friends already. Mingyu had to admit that upon that first assumption, he was a bit jealous of his proximity to you. This was immediately followed by the realization that maybe Mingyu's previous infatuation in you went further than mere interest in you as a fellow idol, but it was maybe a bit of a crush. Regardless of what Mingyu had felt at the moment, he knew that he wanted to see you again.

For some unknown reason, you were not present in the following 97 gathering soon after your introduction. This struck Mingyu as strange, seeing as you were also a 97, and a friend of Jungkook's, so why would you not be present? It was soon after revealed to Mingyu that you had yet to be offered a spot in the now renown 97 squad. Jungkook had assessed that all the dating rumors that would come attached to the inclusion of a girl in the group were simply not worth it. He wanted to save you both the headache and the scandal. It seemed like a pretty reasonable decision. Mingyu, however, was not the most reasonable of people, often allowing his decision-making to be led by impulse rather than calculated choices. Which was why Mingyu had found himself walking up to you next time he spotted you at yet another comeback show, promptly asking you if you'd like to meet some of his friends sometime in the following week, claiming it was tradition for all 97s to go for a drink every other week. He felt like he was inviting you to join into a cult, or at least that's what you said to him it had felt like. But you had still agreed, giving him your number so that you could be privy to the details of the meeting.

Your admission to the friend group came very naturally, having already met a few of the members and easily befriending the rest. Yes, it had come with some controversy at first, but Mingyu had come to learn that you were quite strong-minded, not allowing a few rumors to get in the way of your personal life. It was easy for the two of you to grow close after that. Despite having befriended the entirety of the group, you and Mingyu seemed to form a more special bond, even seeking each other's company outside of group gatherings. It was all platonic, of course. Mingyu had quickly realized you did not seem interested in that way, so he tucked his crush deep within him, choosing to offer a friendship to you instead, never speaking of his crush to anyone. This was how the two of you came to become best friends.

This repression of his feelings, however, did not come without its consequences.

Mingyu was a hopeless romantic at heart. This meant that his crush never really went away. It actually worsened over the years that he knew you. But you never acted like anything other than a friend to him. You would always treat him the same way you did Jaehyun or Eunwoo. He was just another one of the members of the friend group to you. Yes, you two were closer in nature – calling each other the best of friends within the industry – but Mingyu did not want to risk that closeness just because of a selfish crush.

The repression of his feelings was also met with other things. Mingyu was a very loving man. He needed to express his love to everyone around him or he would physically explode (Okay, not really, but he swore that's what it felt like to him). He had a loving family to tend to by taking care of them financially and spending every waking minute away from work with. He had his thirteen best friends to shower with playful affection during and out of work. He had his 97-liners to play around with in between work schedules. What he did not have, however, was that one person who was his and only his. Someone to give the type of love that you reserve for only that one special person in your life.

Mingyu found himself seeking this person out since the beginning of time. Many would call Mingyu a womanizer or a player due to the high volume of relationships he had been involved in during his life. It wasn't like that, however. Not at all. Mingyu would date a girl he liked, would be happy with her, but would ultimately realize that the spark he was looking for was not there, causing him to regrettably end the relationship. He was often met with curses directed his way, but he felt it was best to try and end it amicably if he did not see a future there.

His most recent relationship had been with a former staff member. She was funny and sweet, and also pretty easy on the eyes. They got along very well when she first got assigned to Mingyu as part of his personal team. It started as a friendship, but it didn't take long for Mingyu's hopeless romantic tendencies to seek her out in a romantic way, something to which she obviously agreed to immediately. Mingyu had no issue getting women on his side. He had never dealt with rejection all his life. Being handsome, talented, funny, and even rich from a young age, it was rare to be met with anything but enthusiastic responses left and right. The relationship did not end amicably, however. Mingyu should've known better than to date someone who technically worked for him. I mean, he had been through this before (with one stylist, one MNET staff member, and a former Pledis recruiter to be specific), so he should've known by now that mixing business with pleasure was a bad idea. But his romantic tendencies couldn't be helped. He had too much love to give, and no one to give it to.

What were your favorite moments of season one?

so the thing that actually sold the show on me my first watch around was the very beginning scene of episode 3, when lestat & louis are sitting down on that bench in jackson square.

LESTAT: There's a column in here about the history of this lovely square. It says that the man who designed it did so after the Place de Vosges in Paris.

LOUIS [ a native to New Orleans ]: I can see that.

LESTAT: Used to be called the Place d'Armes. I prefer that. Don't you?

LOUIS: Mm-hmm.

LESTAT: The Louisiana Purchase was signed here. Penny wise, franc foolish.

LOUIS: Say anything about how they used to take runaway slaves, cut their heads off, and pike 'em on the iron gates as a warning?

u can really see thru lestat’s character how the show takes a critical approach to anne rice’s fetishization of new orleans, and how louis responds to lestat is indicative of the native new orleanian, deeply fed up with& cynical toward the tourist fixations. jackson square up until 1856 was used as an execution site for runaway slaves, with maroon leader jean st. malo being one of the most well known executions in similar fashion as louis described. it is also foreshadowing for what louis will do to the alderman at the end of the episode.. ive talked abt that scene way too much but its when i sat up straight & started to pay attention fr. honestly the entire conversation honestly is such a character defining moment for lestat & louis and their relationship as a whole. louis has always been a character that struggled with his reason for existing, and lestat has always been someone eager to provide something (be that ‘reason’ for one: see the ‘i put you on this earth’ part of this conversation) and pilfer the ‘savage garden’ all he wants.

theres so many great moments on this show, im thinking of louis & paul on the roof, louis & jonah in e3, louis & claudia on the boat, the three of them going to the funeral home buying claudia’s coffin, claudia killing that man on the train tracks (happy jan 5!), claudia& charlie’s date, her e4 monologue, all of e5-7 to me, etc etc…but this scene truly let me know that this show was not generic ahistorical fetish of new orleans & understood the characters. i know some people complain that ‘lestat said the evildoers 1!1’ line, but lestat killed children & etc in the books and overall never is an existential internally driven sort of character the way louis is. anyways e5-7 is the prologue to the second season to me <3

raahh i wish i could answer two asks in the same post since i got another ask for this one, but here we are:

ive posted about this au a bit before, though that was less of an in depth explanation as this is going to be lol

so, basically the population of hogwarts are making tons of rumors based on the four of them, stuff about each off of them being involved with each other in one way or another,

here is basically the basis of why these rumors came across:

Barty & James: Theyve been seen leaving parties together and Barty has been seen going to the Marauders dorm room (Barty is actually tutoring James and they will leave parties to walk around and talk because James gets overwhelmed by the noise sometimes)

Evan & Regulus: They are both prefects together and they talk in hushed whispers a lot that people think has tension (They are just close friends and Evan is one of the only people that Regulus doesn't act like he despises talking to, (must be a rosier twin thing))

Barty & Evan: Barty and Evan are almost always seen touching eachother, hand holding, arm around a shoulder, head in laps, etc etc (Barty is a very handsy person and his love language is physical touch, Regulus hates being touched most of the time, but Evan doesn't mind it so Barty usually will cling to him when they're together)

Regulus & James: People suspect something is going on between the two of them because of their sudden friendship & because Regulus always looks very flustered when they talk (Reg & James are partners in their Potions class, (reggie is in the grade above because he's advanced in the subject) and Regulus has no idea how to react to how verbally validating James is and how sweet and kind, so he just goes red and stares at him)

Evan & James: People think they have something going on because Evan is just overly soft and sweet about him, calls him nicknames and pinches his cheeks (Evan does this with all of his friends, but James is just louder & basically the definition of adorable so people notice it more)

Barty & Regulus: They argue all the time but in the way where its incredibly tension filled and Barty will flirt with him all the time and Regulus doesn't punch him so that counts for something (They are just both very bantery and Barty loves making Regulus glare at him when he makes flirty comments)

basically they all find these rumors ridiculous and end up using it for their advantage. Barty comes up with the idea to just confuse the entirety of hogwarts with being fucking impossible,

Barty is doing it mostly to give a huge fuck you to his dad, James thinks this will be the best prank ever, Regulus thinks itd be funny to piss of his brother, and to bring disgrace to his family name, Evan is just...well he's bored so he goes along with it

just picture the hogwarts student body as a huge fandom who have constant ship wars, where the actual people apart of these ships are just laughing at them

but..then the plot twist: they actually start to like eachother,

that starts up the drama because all four of them are like: "this is supposed to be a joke though, this isn't supposed to feel real" and they all think the others think of it as not real, but nope, theyre all gay panicking

plus, bonus points: James didn't even know he liked men before this

oh and, Evan's excuse of him being bored is actually to cover up the fact he's had a crush on basically all three of the them at some point in his life and hes just like: "holy shit this is my time to be y/n"

hello! question abt ksb ive been pondering & was wondering what ur take on it might be. its pretty clear morinaga considers souichi and him to be dating and souichi his boyfriend, but i was thinking about how souichi sees their relationship. i know he considers morinaga as more than a friend obviously, but do you think he thinks of him and morinaga as "dating"??? tysm for all the translation work u do :-) we(the fandom) owe u

While I doubt Souichi would have willingly called it that himself at the time, they've definitely been dating since the end of volume 8 and he knows it lol.

(Remember, in the story only 3 years have passed since the start of the manga and 2 of those have happened since volume 8)

His problems before then were always about how he wasn't gay and couldn't accept he was in a relationship with a man. He had excuses for why he was going along with it: "It's only because you'll leave the school and ruin your life", "it's because you're blackmailing me", etc. And then he was just in denial with things like "I don't hate living with you and I don't know why", "I've never done it because I wanted to", etc.

But in volume 8, (besides all the Masaki stuff) he was faced with Morinaga getting a job offer and leaving and he didn't have a good excuse to stop him this time so he had to actually think about being in a relationship with him. So he thought about it and told him he wanted to stay with him and he wasn't going to run away anymore. That's really Souichi speak for "we're dating now" lol.

Then in volume 9 they had a whole discussion about Morinaga being jealous and upset that Souichi wasn't jealous and Souichi was just like well you were just screaming in the middle of the street that it wouldn't make a difference if you were popular so why should I be?? He knows.

Since then their problems have mostly been about not wanting other people to know, but he's never denied to Morinaga that they're in a relationship now. Morinaga dragged him into a gay wedding reception and all he did was get upset that Morinaga didn't tell him that it was a gay wedding.

I also think a lot of people were confused in vol 11 when he found out that Tadokoro knew since he denied they were dating but that was because he didn't want him to know, not because he doesn't think they're together. When he got angry at Morinaga about it he wasn't angry about the dating part of it, he was just angry that he was telling people.

I (f) was 100% sure I’m bi like 5 years ago, because women are fucking pretty, and I can imagine being in a relationship/having sex with them, but over the past year I feel embarrassingly straight??? Like…I still like women the way I just described, but I somehow only feel interested in men, male bodies, etc. recently.

Ive had phases where I was pretty certain I was a lesbian (but most likely due to trauma and negative experiences with men), but I managed to work on that and now I’m more fond of men again, find pleasure in looking at their bodies without feeling grossed out and imagining to be intimate with them feels good for the first time in so long again, too.

However, I feel like women don’t do it for me anymore? It’s weird, I still find them attractive and the thought of sleeping with one or dating one feels natural, too, but they just do t turn me on the slightest anymore. And I fear that my mom was right when she told me that me being bi was just a phase.

human sexuality is fucking weird and so fluid and doesn’t ever fit in a box like sometimes even i find myself being like oh i want that man. but im not any less valid and neither are you. people change and with it their sexuality can too. again its just fluid and if you feel like you’re only straight that’s fine fdjdnskd it’s not a moral failing to be straight. i was having a similar conversation abt this regarding gender with a friend with the conclusion being im just me and he’s just him. so you’re just you. humans cant always abide perfectly by labels and boxes and that’s ok. just allow yourself to be you and love who you love and fuck who you wanna fuck and just be patient and treat yourself with care and respect. i love you

and even if something is “just a phase” it was a “phase” you needed to go through to become who you are today. even if its passed it wasn’t for nothing it helped you grow into you :)

IT IS JUNE 8TH, 2005, almost 20 years after Earth was invaded by a extraterrestrial civilization from the planet Mars, and 43 years after a limited nuclear exchange, a small Yellowstone caldera eruption, AND a climate shattering WEATHER TERRORISM event. WOW

the US exists in a state of defanged limbo, under the thumb of an alien king, foreign countries, a plethora of ultracapitalist megacorporations, and its own underground criminal syndicate: The League. The only thing the country has going for it now is the headquarters for the world’s organization of superscientists, the Promethean Society, founded by renowned super scientist and twice savior of humanity, Lupe Altena- who hasn’t been seen in almost 15 years now, and because of this absence, the Society as well as the fragile peace between Earth and Mars has quietly slipped into disarray…

We have…man eating aliens! Half aliens! Alien space blood magic!! Superpowers!! Corporate owned superheroes!! Zombies!!! Dinosaurs!!!! Androids!!!! Conspiracies!!!!!

this is our main protagonist! his name is Desmond Arkady, and he’s probably the most normal yet unluckiest character in this 80+ character cast. it’s through his experiences in accidentally getting involved in organized crime, superscience conspiracies, and ultimately just finding his way through life that the story of SE is slowly unraveled…in which, it turns out, he’s been an unaware key player this entire time against his will. :eyes:

Its been a sort of playground for me writing wise?? Like its a world for me to run around in and explore all sorts of crazy ideas and character developments/dynamics. The aliens are made of crude oil and have ghosts, 40% of the earth’s population has superpowers and the entire cast is completely made up of jerks and losers set in a retro future where the world just keeps ending and people cant really do anything about it

Also!! Themes of SE are fun, the whole ‘theres always a bigger fish’ motif that i dont talk about, the idea that “Martians need to eat, and humans dont wanna be eaten. Humans need resources/energy, but Martians dont wanna be turned into biofuel; humans are no longer at the top of the food chain and have to deal with that.” themes concerning the wasteland that politics create and unhealthy family/relationship dynamics and other darker themes v-v WITH A NEARLY ALL QUEER CAST! NEXT TO NO UWU SHIT EVERYONE HERE IS FUCKED UP and WILL fuck up. With everybody in SE i try my damndest to write them within a grey-black morality zone.,,ANYWAY im getting off track i think-

Uuuh SE is just my love letter ig to just plain weird bullshit scifi, its my biggest, weirdest, longest story to date and tbh iiii have honestly struggled to summarize this as i have vv’ but rn the brain rot has been insistent forrrr almost 11 months now which is UNUSUAL for me. Ive hardly worked on anything else which tells me that SE is something to truly work for in a way :D i hope one day to actually make it into a webcomic so i can finally tell the story abt all these fuck ups :3

I just watched the new valorant cinematic "revelations" and my mind is completely blown away.

TL:DR: me rambling abt the things I noticed in this cinematic i.e. sage showcasing her combat/firearm skills, design choices for the cinematic, etc. I DON'T PLAY THE GAME FR IM JUST A LORE FANATIC SO IF I GET SHIT WRONG BE NICE TO ME

1) Riot has always been very good with the visual storytelling they do for valorant, and I think that taking the silent approach this time around, the only notable audio being the music, emphasizes the "quiet" or "mysterious" characters that are given the spotlight this time around - sage, omen, and cypher.

To delve a bit further I think it was a great design choice to have the music be the overlooming audio instead of the characters talking because as mentioned earlier it highlights the more quiet and mysterious characters we see represented now. I can speak for all character but right now i wanna focus on sage as she seems to be the star in this cinematic. Now correct me if I'm wrong in any of this but: sage can be seen as a more docile character who due to her nature and her radiant abilities can be seen as more of support, like a mediator, but in this cinematic we see the more ruthless side of her, and I'll even go as far as to say this is the side that made Brimstone see her as a qualified candidate for the VP AND his second in command. A side we as viewers, lore fanatics and gamers alike have yet to see until now.

2) someone in the comments noted that in Sage's locker there's a note that says something along the lines of "I'm not just your healer" and I find this so symbolic bc from what ive seen/read a lot of people play sage as a support character (correct me if I'm wrong) but this changes everything - it shows how once again the valorant agents are so complex and have layers to their intersectionality and its honestly refreshing to see that in a game, even if it's just a cinematic.

I also wanna note that I lowkey called this in my "drawbacks of their radiance" headcanons that I did for Phoenix, Neon, Jett, and Sage, of which I pointed out that self-doubt is more than likely to be a part of Sage's character given the practicality of her powers and the fact that majority of the time she's referenced, especially in fandom content, it's specifically in the realm of her being a support person, using her powers to help people. But this cinematic points out that Sage is (or possibly has already) growing out of that and is ready to showcase her skills beyond being a healer.

3) this is kind of an edit to this post BUT as I've been getting back into valorant and rereading the lore, I watched a video by Sir Jeppy explaining the valorant story line to date, and in it he mentions that the sage we see in this cinematic is actually mirror earth sage, and his evidence is one of KAY/O's voicelines which says something along the lines of "in the future you're no healer, you're a warrior" (or something like that, but i remember the term he used was definitely reminiscent of a more ruthless descriptor), and I just wanna say that parallel between earth 1 sage and earth 2 sage is so fucking good! It makes me wonder I the radiant wars do they ever fight each other? Does earth 2 sage play mind games on earth 1 sage tryna get her to turn on her own team saying that she's weak and that's all her team sees her as? Would we get a physical representation of internal conflict with sage? That's a route I hope valorant does take on the more cinematics they do...

And if they ever need a fresh storyboard writer...👀

Need the richmond women's team spinoff NOW!!!!!!!!!!! And it better have LESBIANS i swear to god!!!!!!!

As always the strongest part of this ep was the team dynamics. Roy joining the diamond dogs. Isaac with the penalty kick!!!! The fucking dance sequence callback T^T theres no place like afc richmond <3 Them winning the match but losing the whole thing was a good balance of success vs realism. I didn't know enough about football to predict it beforehand LOL but that probably worked in my favor bc i genuinely didnt know whether they would win or lose. Rebecca and ted's friendship was heartwarming as always. I was living in fear that they'd become a couple even though i knew that wasn't what the writers were going for, so I probably need to rewatch to fully enjoy it.

Tedependent lost RIP. it would have made sense but at the same time im kinda glad they didn't, at least this season. trent was still very much a side character and i just don't think the story beats were there for tedtrent endgame. the story would have had to been constructed differently, or it would need another season. I also liked how the main focus was ted & rebecca's friendship rather than either of their romantic relationships. I love a good romance but its not what this story is about.

Thats part of the reason why the dutchman return felt cheap to me lol. Sorry rebecca im always rooting for you but i just wasn't feeling it. Another part of that is probably because Ted and Trent had a much stronger foundation and we still didn't get to see even their friendship develop as much as i would have liked. Maybe ive been spoiled by all the trent this season idk. but i was just hoping for a little more. After all, it's not lost on me that we only got one confirmed gay couple at the end (we don't even know anything about Michael!!! Ugh sorry Im a michael hater he's so boring.)

Speaking of boring, I simply do not care about ted's family. So him moving back was... not really compelling for me. like none of the kansas characters are fleshed out at all. i wish they had done something more interesting with them so i could actually get invested. There was something there with michelle dating their couples therapist, but it ended up falling flat imo. Also Michelle being a teacher is a total copout, I would have preferred if she had an unexpected job that revealed a new side to her. Give her a personality outside of being a wife/mother/caretaker please and thank you.

I did like how Royjamie was left openended!!! thats the ship i care most abt and i knew it wasnt going to *actually* happen so im satisfied with what we got. I am in the (im assuming) minority of royjamie enjoyers that is against roykeeleyjamie. This episode really hammered it in why roy and jamie are not good for keeley LOL, but the signs have been there all along. Keeley needs to be her own boss for a bit! Roy and jamie are just not at her maturity level (lovingly), and they've got some misogyny to work through.

(I need to think on it more, but I'm pretty sure that I liked the way this episode/season handled the Roy And Jamie Are Lowkey Sexist subplot. Like the whole fighting over a woman thing is soooo trite atp, and i still dont know how i feel about them physically fighting over her or whatever. but the story was realistic about how these asshole male footballers are going to have some weird views about women, while still shutting that down those views. like not even giving them the time of day. Keeley literally shoos them out without a word LMAO. So idk need to think about it more but at least keeley didnt end up with either of them).

Hey you know who DOES deserve each other.... and makes each other better people, as represented by their football training arc.... the student is the teacher and the teacher is the student etc etc…… Anyways royjamie is real TO ME!!! (And brett goldstein and phil dunster, number one royjamie warriors. phil dunster wrote royjamie smut I will never get over that)

Overall im sad to see ted lasso go. i think i need to sit with all 3 seasons a bit more before forming my full opinion, but s1 will always have my heart. Mostly because evil jamie and evil rebecca are so so fun to watch.

but over time ... once he finally is in touch with that side of himself again... him expressing his love is very quiet. he speaks more-so through physical touch + acts of service/gift giving,, as hes never been good with words. but ,, he loves taking care of me. whether thats when im sick, or im overwhelmed, or he just simply wants to because he wants to. LOL sorry omg i really died. like am still dying. i spent all day yesterday crying over my coursework and shit but i talked to that guy and he really knocked some sense into me and told me to not be so hard on myself... so now im crying internally and not externally 😭

ive been thinking about it now and i think i might switch majors for the sake of my sanity bc real talk the amount of work is insane and i cant properly function it's crazy out here idk how people do this... i was thinking maybe health sci since i already have most of the credits for the degree and ive always wanted to be involved in the healthcare field... im gonna see my academic advisor on monday and see what they say because holy guacamole i want to be able to enjoy school w/o crying every time i think about it

omg that got long but those have been my thoughts for the past few days BUT ANYWAY that's so good!!!! im so happy for you big brain energy we love to see it!! ive got a biochem midterm this week (which is the cause of my mental breakdowns BUT KLSJFRG) and ochem is in 2 weeks but as i said might change majors and ochem is not necessary... so i'll prob drop it haha

the last season was so good. i found it a bit slow in the beginning but once it picks up it's going like i could not stop watching it!! i havent watched bcs but i heard it gets better near the end again?? ive watched el camino tho

He's willing to hurt himself to save others (nearly dislocating his shoulders trying to keep both Addy and Allen, burning himself with the steam for Debbie, etc.) and it's like. John is always talking about how it can't be personal but it seems pretty fucking personal here!

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: The fact that nobody saw how hard he fought for his coworkers + the sacrifices he made for them upsets me to no end. That was intentional. John didn't want Tara + Brent (or Pamela for that matter!) to see him as human and that fucking bothers me!! So basically I just wish that they could've seen it via camera like literally almost every trap victim gets in some capacity!!

Mallick:

How I feel about this character: Yet another character I relate to wayyy too much <33 I love him...

My unpopular opinion about this character: Again I don't know if it's unpopular, persay, but uh. I don't think the Mallick we meet in V would willingly sit and listen to Bobby Dagen in 3D. He'd hate that dude. My take on it is that Brit didn't survive V (although I think read somewhere that the crew confirmed she survived?) and that's why he was there: because he'd lost the one true connection he'd made in god knows how long. That's rlly the only way I see him sitting thru Dagen's bullshit lmao.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: I wanted him to see Brit again,, and I just wanted to see him more in general tbh, esp because he makes a reappearance where so many prior Jigsaw survivors do not. I would've liked to see him interact with Simone given that they both lost a limb/nearly a limb (in Mallick's case). This is related to that, but I also wish the evidence of the 10 Pints trap wasn't just. A tiny scar? I HC that it took his whole hand, so.

Strahm:

How I feel about this character: Ohhh my beloved. Why didn't they give you a better narrative it would've been SO interesting. I love you though <3

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Honestly? Still super fond of Gibson/Strahm in a scenario where things are different,, I've written quite a bit abt them and kinda want to again but if I do it'll probably be. Not for a while + VASTLY different. but recent additions have been Hoffman (I used to. not understand Stroffman whatsoever. now I Get It) and Adam!!

My non-romantic OTP for this character: PEREZ!!! I've always thought of them as best friends since I first saw IV, and I do think he genuinely cared about her - quite a lot, actually, esp given how devastated he was when she was injured. They hang out at each other's apartments all the time + get coffee regularly. I love them.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I don't think he's a dumbass?? I don't know if that's unpopular. I think that he's IMPULSIVE and that it gets him into trouble, but Strahm has always struck me as incredibly intelligent + has a good moral compass for the most part?? I mean, he figured out there was a second apprentice (second as far as he knows, anyway) helping with traps just by examining Kerry's crime scene. I think he's VERY smart. He just acts quickly + sometimes that means there's not much planning for if things go south. (I DO agree that showing up to the packing plant w/out backup was dumb though,, doesn't mean he DESERVED the Water Cube but y'know)

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: It's not really mentioned if he does in canon, but I wish he'd been made aware of the fact that Perez was alive,, it bothers me that he might've died not knowing she was okay. The other thing is that I wish he'd survived V!!! I think it would've been WAY more narratively satisfying for him to kinda follow in Tapp's footsteps as a vigilante Jigsaw hunter. (That's why I love yr takes on him so much!!)

Rigg:

How I feel about this character: He has such a big heart. He cares so so much. I wish ppl talked about him more :(

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Gibson!!! And uhh Hoffman, but they're exes,, but! In a scenario I'm kind of going over in my head, maaaybe Adam... the basics though is that he searches the Nerve Gas House independently and somehow finds the Bathroom following II, and He is the one to rescue Adam. Very tentative abt that one though bc I'm still working it out lol. (Possibly Eric/Adam/Rigg???)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Eric!!! His best friend <3 I think he's also pretty close with Kerry, though I think he hangs out w her independent of Eric given,, the messy ex situation. My unpopular opinion about this character: Mmm I don't know that I have one? Other than maybe like. I understood why he went through the door. One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: I wish he hadn't even been tested!!!! His one flaw was that he cared about ppl and somehow John saw that as something he needed to fix!!! Like yes I do agree that it was eating away at him and the obsession might've been unhealthy, but that's two of his closest friends dude!! I don't think he deserved to be tested for that. I don't. He just wanted to help ppl and keep them safe. I absolutely despise how Rigg was treated dkjflkdf!!!!

THE POV HOLDING FELIXS HAND NOOO IM DEVASTATED OMG i cant say ive held his hand but i did hi five it once. 10/10 experience his smile is radiant up close it blinded me. anygays youre right, the kpop industry highkey supports delulu fan behaviour, like to the point it sometimes causes a lot of harm, but for the fans who know how to draw boundaries its Heaven. the whole reason i like skz so much in particular tho is bc of how genuine they are - ive been a kpop fan for years now, ive stanned over a dozen groups; not that any of them were Ingenuine, but they were all just doing their job. being idols. its literally in the name. skz take it to the next level because they're like our friends. they dont try force the "dating ur idol" image and their target audience is just everyone who needs a safe space. they care so much and their hearts are so big and that's something i think you genuinely cant fake.

but just to back it up some more - as an aussie i know like 3 diff ppl who know a guy who know a guy etc. who knew felix, and the unanimous agreement was that he was a dork but an absolute Sweetheart. everyone whos ever worked with felix says hes practically an angel. and im a scorpio (rmb bulldozer anon hehe) so im always right abt vibes and his vibes r Immaculate. point is its not delusional to think that skz are authentic and real with us and some of the kindest people you'll ever meet; images can and often Are fabricated, but you'll never meet another idol group this genuine.

hiiiii!!!

so i decided to do a little 16 facts about me before i turn 17 kinda thing!!!! i got inspired by taylors “30 things i’ve learned before turning 30” article so hehehe here’s my little ~twist~ on it!!!! ♡

one. i was born in france!

yes!!! little ~fun fact~ abt me is that i was born in paris france & speak fluent french!!! people find that SO COOL & i just find it normal?!?? it’s so weird hahaha!!! but miss swift taught me how to speak english w/ her music, articles, shows, etc! so thank you t <3

two. i love nyc!

nyc is my second home!!!! i’ve been there 3 times & lucky enough to be going again later this month to celebrate my birthday (dec. 28) & nyd!!! release week was my favorite thing ever & ive been missing the city so much since. i love the lights & how the city never sleeps! i also love hamilton & dear evan hansen and would love to see those two shows one day! taylor if you wanna hang out when i’m there i’m free.... hahahah jk. unless.....

three. hobbies!

i love painting!!! i haven’t been able to in a while because of school but it’s so fun & relaxing! i also LOVE listening to music! i ofc love taylor but i do also LOVE conan gray!!! he is a small artist and he is AMAZING! he loves taylor also & is the cutest little cowboy! i also love watching greys anatomy & criminal minds! those shows are my favorite shows to ever exist!

four. pets!

i have 2 pets! one dog & one cat! my dogs name is jack & hes a cockapoo!!! literally the love of my life <3 my cats name is missy & she’s a rescue! we don’t really know what breed she is but she’s adorable. she loves to snuggle!!!

five. dislikes....

this might surprise you but i’m THAT person that doesn’t like chocolate, pasta, gum, mints, or bananas. it’s weird i know. also, i haven’t touched a banana in over 5 years.

six. i LOVE the cold!

i love when the weather is cold & it’s snowing! living in florida, i never get to experience that so ya... i’m that person pt. 2. i just love wearing comfy clothes & seeing the snow fall!!! i hâte the heat. pretty ironic.

i’m a HUGE football fan! my favorite team is the new england patriots (my dads from boston 😎)!!! i also used to do gymnastics! i’m not really good anymore though...

i recently have watched the martian (you know, the one where taylor said she cried in her 73 question interview? ya that) in chem and AHHHH so good!!!!! so right now, that movie :).

ten. christmassssss!!!

i LOVE christmas & all the decorations!!!! the vibes & the baking and EVERYTHING IS SO FUN!!! my favorite christmas song is christmas tree farm. thank you taylor i’m hooked on it. funny thing is i’ve never had a gingerbread cookie or decorated a gingerbread house....

i discovered taylor when i had just moved to the states in 2009 & ever since have been by her! from begging my mom to go to the fearless tour to going to the speak now tour in fort lauderdale to watching the red livestream thinking i could videocall taylor to crying in my room for hours because i couldn’t attend both red and 1989 tours to attending both rep tour miami & nola to flying to nyc to watch her perform at gma to looking forward to lover fest east nights 1&2 (that was a LOT of “to’s”), she & her music has always been there for me and i cant say thank you enough. from interacting with us online to meeting us, i don’t know anyone more generous and inspiring as her. she’s brought me my best friends. love u t!!!

fourteen. acting!

sometimes i like to act out scenarios in my head like if i was in a movie... i actually would love to star in a movie or tv show but idk if i’m a good actress. still a dream :))

fifteen. love life! (eeekkkk!!)

i’ve never been in a relationship or have had my first kiss so!!! still looking for maybe that special someone?!? just the idea of cute date nights & little random presents is so so cute (i’ve heard they are a LOT of work though.....) maybe one day i’ll find my romeo 💌

sixteen. themes!?

i didn’t really know what to title this ?!?!? but..... i love crime shows & and puzzles & doing all the detective work thingys! reading crime novels or old cases is SO FUN! i find that the most interesting thing in the world and could get lost in the world of criminology. i’m all into forensics and AHHHH ya i’m a nerd shhhhhhh....

bonus: seventeen. what i’m looking forward to @ 17.....

new decade & last year before being an adult. crazy how time flies. i really want to start focusing on myself more. i’ve always put others before me and although that is a sweet thing to do (so i’ve heard), it’s also important to find myself in a comfortable position prior to helping others. finding myself first is the key element. i also want to be a lot kinder to my body, myself, and others.

16 years of craziness & memories. so excited to create new ones in this new decade and age.
