Can you draw the scene where wheatie gets picked up by glados?
[Part 1 can be found here]
There she is. What a nasty piece of work she was, honestly.

HoO is so funny to me when you actually think about the ages of all the characters. Octavian is 18. Percy and Annabeth are 16, almost 17. Reyna is presumably 16. Frank just turned 16, Jason’s about to turn 16. Leo and Piper are like 15. Hazel’s like 14 and a half, and Nico is 13.
The Death Sibs are both the youngest and oldest on the Argo II. Octavian is a college freshman getting into petty drama with a bunch of high schoolers. He gets told to shut up at one point by a random 8th grader. Everyone is scared of the 8th grader. We Sent A 13 Year Old To Superhell and he came back weirder, Just Like Middle School. TLH was just three high school sophomores being sent to do a task and it going Exactly Like You’d Expect. Percy’s the only demigod on the ship who can legally drive (though Reyna gets her drivers license at some point before TOA). What Is Happening.

S5 is shaping up to be so good, I think, because of the way everything is compounding onto each other in the basis of theme
Rayla becoming more like Runaan - obsessive, rigid, driven, independent - more like an assassin in both the best and worst ways during the same season she’ll likely have to confront possibly killing a possessed Callum. Her and Callum continuing to foil each other for better or for worse - asking the question of what are you willing to do to free the people you love?
And then you have Callum and Viren’s foil parallels coming to a head in regards to Viren’s dream visions that will shed light on his history with Soren, which will also nicely drive forward their shared question of what are you willing to sacrifice / do to save the people you love?
And Viren’s dream visions also nicely complements S5 letting Soren deal with some of his own emotions regarding his father being alive as well as providing a traumatic reminder for Claudia of what it was like when he was gone, perfectly opening up a place for more elaboration for both her (and Rayla’s) time during the timeskip - once again asking what are you willing to put yourself through for the sake of those you love? What pieces of yourself are you willing to destroy?
And Claudia and Soren being driven even further apart also naturally complements Karim and Janai’s escalated political and personal estrangement and disagreement, possibly losing her kingdom (a rising sun) to her brother (a fallen star) just as the Fallen Star himself is released - showing what pieces of yourself you must hold onto for the sake of duty and righteousness, rather than forsaking them for family
Which then just comes right back around in Claudia and Rayla trying to do anything to save their parents/fathers and Terry and Callum being poised, respectively, to see what they are or are not willing to do in that endeavour, and how freedom and salvation isn’t always a good thing, and when it is, and
Rayla being unwilling to entirely take up Runaan’s mantle (re: refusing to kill Callum), while Callum has to confront Harrow’s (in passing down the cube) and Claudia fully takes on Viren’s as Aaravos’ right hand and
y’know?

Emotional roller coaster of an episode. Just a few random thoughts.
Love any and every scene we get of Jeng and Jaab. And Jaab comforting Jeng was so sweet.
Pat’s parents are so cute. But Pat’s stepdad doesn’t come to visit with his mom?
Your chef dad was at your house cooking, Pat, so where was the chef’s hat?
They really had me worried something bad was going to happen to Ae and Kanun’s baby there. But then they kept cutting to the two jokers on the bike.
Everyone looking at the photo Ae posted and having their own issues they’re going through, but congratulating her and being awed by new life was poignant.
But they just threw us into the end of her pregnancy. I’m not clear about when the time skip happened. But did they also get married for real? Because I think they also referred to each other as wife/hubby in ep. 1.
Jeng has such attractive friends.
I loved Tiger going to timeout because of Jeng.
Does Pat have a heart-shaped birthmark?
I hope Krit tells his family about Chot eventually 🥺
Did not like all the Jeng tears. Or Pat's. But Jeng's were more unexpected.

Falsettos brainrot hours continue so like...
Headcanon that Jason's Torah reading at his bar mitzvah is just randomness (Bill said it's one line from his own bar mitzvah mixed with random words in Hebrew that he retained from Hebrew school) because either ...
He's been so wrapped up in The Situation and confusion of Whizzer being in the hospital that he hasn't been studying like he says he has, OR
There's just too much going on and he's understandably distraught and distracted so he goes blank in the moment
But no one says anything to him about it, since...
Cordelia Isn't Jewish so why would she clock it?
Mendel is not good at being Jewish (at least on the religious side of things, since he thinks it's a trap and all that)
Marvin is focused on Whizzer, who just barely makes it through, so neither of them are paying that much attention
Charlotte is in Doctor Mode and On The Job.
Trina is too nice
I feel like Trina would definitely notice this. I get vibes that she's the most devout of the bunch, so she would almost have to catch it. She doesn't say anything though, because that's her baby and she thinks that maybe he doesn't realize he messed it up as badly as he did? Plus, he's going through so much and she just doesn't want to make it worse. So she doesn't say anything.
But, actually, Jason knows he messed it up. He just thinks everyone else missed it? And it makes him incredibly anxious bc, like any kid who's been raised by people (or...a person) with strong religious convictions, regardless of if they believe the same way the family members do, it's been so instilled in him that he's really worried about the consequences of his bar mitzvah flop. He gets it that it's not a requirement but like what if God hates him and that's why Whizzer died and Marvin is declining?
And so he's plagued with that guilt and anxiety and fear that it's his fault on top of the grief of losing Whizzer and knowing that Marvin's next and it just compounds and makes everything even worse.

hey so. was anyone gonna tell me that last year I wrote *the* most tender lonan & harrison moment in feeding habits ORRRRR (harrison cuts lonan’s hair):
On the floor, Harrison eases Lonan’s skull over his knee and mimics what Suzanna does for him every other month: a modest section between his index and middle finger, then a tentative snip. A section. A snip. As he cuts, chips of Lonan’s hair falling to the tile, he notes the geography of Lonan’s skull, rough with uneven hair. He’s so focused on taming it all to one length that at first, he doesn’t notice when Lonan flushes crimson all the way to his throat. How he blinks rapidly to dislodge the tears netting his eyelashes, and eventually covers his face with his hands. Harrison snips again, and Lonan makes a strangled noise, like an animal’s cry. Tentative at first, like a short clearing of the throat, and then ugly, like a caribou dying. Harrison clenches his jaw, knowing it’ll only be harder to cut Lonan’s hair if he too starts to cry, but that doesn’t matter. Within seconds, his eyes swell, and as he snips, hair scattering like both of their old lives dissipating, he smooths his free thumb over Lonan’s forehead. He doesn’t know what else to do. How to imbue comfort. He’s not like Suzanna who understands that sometimes a person just needs another person to appear with a plate of papas, or a rented chick flick, and just be there. Within minutes, Lonan’s hair is at a new normal: shorter than it’s been in years, but in shape to regrow. Harrison sets the scissors onto the tile. He cups Lonan’s cheek with his palm, brings his forehead so close to his that they nearly touch. And he’s there. A bamboo stake waiting for a strand of ivy to give it new purpose.
