(Hello Anon) Is there a reason for Dusk's absurd physical strength? I mean yes he is a ranch hand but he was able to overpower Gandorf in a sword lock. Is it potentially do to the more potent divine blood caused by his reaction to Mask (who is hosting said god and judging by the roughly foot in hight increase between the HS and his body in the Adult timeline, used it frequently) P.S. If all the links worked together could they beat Oni in a fight?

You know, I think he's just Like That. Literally, one of the first things he does in-game is stop a charging goat with his bare hands.

(apologies for the Spanish but this was the best one I could find)

There is never an explanation provided for why he can physically do this. He just... does it. Look at this goat, it's as tall as him. That creature easily weighs five hundred pounds, maybe more, and it is charging. There is a driving momentum here that I'm pretty sure is roughly equal to a small locomotive. Imagine trying to stop a train with your bare hands.

As for your second question, allow to me clarify what I think you're asking? Since Dusk is canonically descended from the Hero of Time, you're asking if Mask hosting Oni might have changed enough of his genetics that it could be passed down, until Dusk inherits some of it? Not much, but just enough to be unusually strong for a mortal.

I've certainly never considered that, and in my own personal headcanons that's not how soul-merges work, but I don't see why you can't adopt it for your own head canons.

(P.S. If all the Links worked together, they would come pretty darn close to beating Oni in a fight, but they wouldn't win. Remember, Oni's other name is the Fierce Deity for a reason!)

so I had a headcanon from a while back that Bumblebee and Cliffjumper are brothers but where both in separete times of "birth".

Like Bumblebee coming into existence during the day while Cliffjumper came around... I believe sunset?

keep in mind, this was my take of that comic piece of both Bumblebee and Cliffjumper.

so by that piece alone, I had a headcanon that there was a third that was "born" during.... some time in the night?

But the catch was that they only looked vaguely familiar from their two older brothers in some cases but very rarely. Hardly outspoken, if they ever spoke at all. Most forget that he's even there due to how silent this guy is and is known to have taken down guys three maybe four times his size.

(he may look like a tiny helpless creature but Primus help anyone that tries to assert their power over this guy. He may be tiny but he is very mighty and his only true best friend is an axe.)

so really it's The SunShined Bee, The Red Demon (or Devil?) and The Dual-Horned Creature of The Night.

Wow, you've put a lot of thought into this.

I've always struggled with creating, much less sharing, any fan character ideas so they're very interesting to me.

I know that in Transformers, split-spark twins exist *cough Sunny and Sides cough* but I don't see why triplets couldn't exist the same way. And I also felt that Cliffjumper was born a little later in the day than Bumblebee from the comic.

Regardless, I'm sure that you'll have a lot of fun out of the third mystery sibling you've created.

I did not feel that I was spreading homophobic anything, but if you felt that way, I do apologize. However, thanks for opening up this line of conversation, anon.

If we are going to talk about the specific instance when I used the word "heteronormative", let's do this.

I was talking about a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

I have always, and will always, discuss characters. I try not to discuss how real life people express themselves, their gender, or their sexuality because that is no one's business but their own. Hard stop on that accusation, dear.

Forcing a canonically non-feminine male character to be more feminine when put into a gay relationship with a larger, alpha-male type is unfortunately a common a result of misogynistic heteronormative bias that is present in a great many people even if they don't always realize it. It reminds me a lot like the old homophobic questions I heard a lot growing up: "Who's the man in the relationship? Who's the woman?"

Is that always the case? No, but it's common enough to warrant mentioning and remembering when in fandom discussions. I myself have suffered from similar biasedness in the past, but I have learned from it and worked to move past it. We all have biases we didn't realize we had previously; it's an unfortunate fact of life.

Anyway...

Specifically, what I was talking about in the conversation being referenced: Stiles Stilinski is not feminine. He is a hot mess express. He is an adorable, lean, almost 6 ft tall asshole who cares only for those he deems worthy of caring for. Yes, he's a bit of a control freak, who tends to take on the parental role with everyone he cares for, but that's due to TRAUMA. None of that equals feminine.

A great many people seem to make him smaller, daintier, and more feminine because it makes a good contrast with Derek who just looks like the stereotypical large, muscular Alpha-male (and was a literal Alpha for a bit there). Physically, they are almost the same height. In later seasons, Stiles is even noticeably thicker than he was in earlier in the series (and honestly isn't that far off from Derek tbh).

All of that being said:

Does this mean I hate reading fics or looking at art with this being the case? No, I fucking love them.

Do I send the creators hate because they interpret the Sterek relationship a different way than I do? Hell no.

However, I am on tumblr to have fandom discussions, and ultimately this is how I feel about what I've noticed in joining the fandom so late.

Thanks for the hot tip but I have seen it already and have drawn my own conclusions regarding the matter, especially after considering the sources.

Always, always, always:

CONSIDER THE SOURCE.

I’ve chosen not to post your ask because the less attention placed on this person, the better.

If you recall, it was also around Christmas three years ago that this person’s “mentor” revealed herself.

I often wonder what would’ve happened had we simply amplified the truth this “mentor” told initially and ignored her outlandish claims, which she began spewing with a vengeance when she realized that she could attract far more notoriety and attention by changing her story to one much more salacious and destructive. Because haters love to hate.

As I’ve said before, the right thing to do when an actual crime has been committed is to file charges with the police and provide solid evidence of the crime, to support the claim with the proper authorities should one also seek to file a claim in court. Justice absolutely should be served but only if it’s warranted. And much more evidence than this is required.

Her protégé’s claim is vague, without specific evidence to support it, presented only to stir the pot of defamation once again.

The protégé is wearing a bathing suit and appears to be posing for the photo in question. She looks to have undergone a recent “cupping” treatment. It’s difficult to determine exactly what her grievance against the accused might be.

Regret is not a crime. Consent, or the denial thereof, is not retroactive. Objective facts are immutable. Vague implications are not facts.

And proclaiming a known delusional stalker and compulsive liar as her mentor serves only to discredit her claims.

Likewise, this “news” breaking from a source known to have a close relationship with the accused’s disgruntled aunt publicly feuding with the accused over the family fortune serves only to raise questions about the source’s credibility and motives.

Both the accuser and the person breaking the news are relying on people’s wild imaginations and need for titillation to fill in the blanks of the story the accuser is not actually telling.

Let’s not fall for that again.
